Your Soul Called

🎙 Episode 7: Everything That Went Wrong This Year (And Why I'm Grateful It Did) ✨
This year was tough. A roof blown off in a storm. An ER visit with my son. Financial stress. Building a house. Businesses slowing down. Power outages. Flooding. One thing after another until I found myself wondering, "How much more can I take?"
In this episode, I'm sharing what that season taught me—not from the other side looking back, but from someone who had to live it, question everything, and slowly find her way back to herself.

We talk about:
✨ Why your perspective has the power to change your reality.
✨ The hidden beliefs that can quietly shape your entire life.
✨ The Universal Law of Balance and why life is never working against you.
✨ How difficult seasons often become the doorway to the greatest soul growth.
✨ What it truly means to trust that you're supported—even when nothing seems to be going your way.

If you've been feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or wondering why life feels so heavy lately, I hope this conversation reminds you that you're not alone. Maybe your life isn't falling apart. Maybe it's gently calling you back to yourself.

🤍 If this episode resonated with you, I'd be so grateful if you'd leave a review, share it with someone you love, or take a screenshot and tag me on Instagram so I can hear what spoke to you.

Nicole:

Hi everyone! Welcome back to episode seven? I think we're on episode seven. Today I don't have much time because I have to go pick up my kids from school early and take them to a soccer tournament and I just met with a plumber and a construction contractor guy and I did an intuitive read and my whole morning was just insane and I promised myself that I was going to record this podcast so I'm doing it and I'm here and I wanted to share today in a little bit of a different way I wanted to tell you about what's been going on with me. So, I'm doing this because I want you to see how I'm not just talking all this stuff like I'm not just talking the talk I'm actually walking the walk like I am living this stuff I am doing it for myself firsthand and it's helping me so much and my life isn't you know, butterflies and rainbows.

Nicole:

It's also got a bunch of terrible stuff going on too, but it's my perspective. That's really the thing that's changed. I think the most is my understanding of how this world works and how everything is working for you and this is an understanding that I didn't used to have. So today I wanted to share how everything went wrong this year and I have had a fucking shit year it is I mean okay. In the beginning of the year, remember I live in Hawaii and we have had an insane amount of storms this year.

Nicole:

My roof blew off, literally. The roof, the front part of my whole roof blew off, and there was water. Like, I mean, shingles were flying down the street and metal shingles. A 100 feet, 200 feet literally could have killed people. Like, thank god they didn't, but it was they it there was, like, 35 miles per hour winds just funneling down the valley that we live in.

Nicole:

It sounded so scary, and chunks of my roof just flew off. And I remember it, like, so clear because it was so loud, and the kids were freaking out. We were like, holy shit. Our roof is literally blowing off in real time. What do we do?

Nicole:

And then, the rain came and it just started water falling into our house. And, we didn't want, like, the floors to get destroyed it became a real serious scary issue really really fast and we had towels like my boys were all helping to clear the water so that happened I, on top of that, like, maybe right shortly after that, I had this plan to take this dog that I was fostering to her new owner and intuitively checked, I was meant to take her to him. So, had to fly her from Hawaii to New York on an airplane. I've never flown a dog on an airplane. This is a nervous poodle Burmadoodle.

Nicole:

She's half poodle. She has nervous energy. So, I was nervous about that. Did that, got stuck in a snowstorm, flights got cancelled. On top of that, my youngest son we're building this house right now which is exciting and awesome but he fell off the roof head first backwards and I had to take him to the ER He had a concussion and that whole thing was dramatic.

Nicole:

We had a power outage for four full days with that storm flooding. I mean the money I've had money shit come up too because we're building building this house we have all these unexpected bills that have come up and not little bills I mean we get bills for like $12,000 $14,000 $8,000 constantly and because we have two mortgages out it's felt like a lot it's it's felt heavy it's felt hard right and I have just been in the thick of it and I don't complain about shit a lot but there was a point, you know, I don't know, maybe like end of February where I was like, this is too much. I can't I can't handle it and I wasn't making any money either like my businesses weren't doing well and usually they're consistently bringing in money but I just wasn't making money. I have a wedding planning business on top of doing intuitive reads and I wasn't booking any weddings like none literally zero and that is weird for me. I usually booking like five weddings a month but I wasn't booking any so I was freaking out and dealing with all of this stuff.

Nicole:

I also messed up my knee so it was like one thing after another after another and it felt heavy, felt hard, it felt scary, it felt overwhelming and I was just carrying all of this for a good amount of time, a couple of months and I felt like everything was caving in on me and so you know, though I outwardly talk about being positive and shifting perspective, I went through a period in the beginning of this year where that was really, really hard for me. And it felt like impossible almost to shift that but now I mean we're six months into the year and things have changed so significantly and not even literally not like you know our roof isn't still leaking because it's still leaking Not like, you know, I don't still have a thousand things going on, but the way that I view them now is so much better. And I'm not just talking, you know, all this shit about like oh you should change your perspective and see the bright side and see why things are working for you like I have literally had to do this for myself over and over and over and over and over again in order to get to a place where I actually shifted things.

Nicole:

I shift the energy in my creator field and changed my actual physical reality. So, where it started is like when I was experiencing all of this chaos, heaviness, like all this stuff happening. Since I am a trained intuitive, I've spent like the last year and a half training my intuition hardcore like all in. That's all I did and I have a lot of intuitive friends so I asked my friends for reads and they looked in to see what was going on and why I was creating this and how to shift this and one of the things that kept coming up for me is like life is hard money is hard and I had to get to the root of it and really understand like where does this where did this belief come from and you always have these sorts of beliefs sometime they're unconscious For me, it was unconscious for years and maybe I was just ready to like shift this but I had this belief deep down buried in in me, you know, from back when I was 10 years old and this is what my friend read for me in an intuitive read and when you get an intuitive read you can find out what's going on in my life like where does this come from where did it start how do I shift it what is it showing me?

Nicole:

And what do I need to understand or learn about it? So that's, like, what I learned, and I was able to get tools from her and see, like, where my imbalances were and how to shift them. Started working on those things. She gave me she channeled exact tools from my higher self to shift the belief that life is hard. Money is hard because I was running this in like on a loop and there's the law of focus.

Nicole:

So, what you focus on grows and I was just focusing on one bad thing after another after another and it was like snowballing. So, what I needed to do is like step out of it and understand like why? Why did I believe that life was hard? Is it actually true? And how am I actually supported?

Nicole:

How have I always been supported? How have things always been working out for me? Right? Because we've talked about in previous episodes that there's also the law of balance. If there's this amount of so called bad things happening, there have to be an equal amount of good things happening but I wasn't seeing the good I was focusing on the bad so I needed to shift what I was looking at.

Nicole:

Once I shifted this I implemented the ingredients she gave me. She gave me physical tools all channeled they were very very specific. I worked on this shit like every day and if you ever get an intuitive read from me, I would give you the same sort of thing if you're going through something big like I was. But anyways, I worked on all that stuff. I was able to shift it and now I'm in a place where I'm not saying that life isn't difficult.

Nicole:

There's still stuff that comes up constantly, but I don't feel like life's hard. I just don't feel that anymore. I feel like I'm supported. I feel like things are always working out for me. I feel like everything's gonna work out for me and I don't need to know how.

Nicole:

I just know that it always does. So a couple of the things, like actual things that have changed is I was able to get a roofer in within a week to fix the roof, which was impossible because everybody in there like, in Hawaii was all over the roofers. I was able to go on the news and get insurance. I went on the news and talked about my roof because insurance wasn't going to cover any of it and the newscaster reached out to the insurance company and got them to pay for a good part of the roof. And I got that money, came in, and in working on shifting all of this money stuff money is hard money is hard that was like my whole thing.

Nicole:

But now I'm feeling like everything's working out for me and all this is shifting I'm starting to feel like I don't need to figure out all the how I don't need to figure out how I'm gonna come up with the next bill that's gonna come up because we're building a house there's always shit that comes up I always figure out exactly what I need when the time's right and there's always these opportunities that open up for me that I never even saw coming because life's always working out for me and I'm always supported, always protected, always cared for by God, by source, by everything. And, you know, another thing that happened is like I started consistently getting intuitive reads from people, like paid intuitive reads out of nowhere, like, just people reaching out to me. I made, I mean, just last week alone, I made $30,000 in my wedding business. Just like that. And it was easy.

Nicole:

It just came. It just happened and it was easy and all it's starting to change where I'm starting to see how there's so much working out for me and more, you know, more is coming, more is coming and but it has been a process of making myself focus on all of the support, all of the guidance, all of the good things that are happening and turning my attention that way instead of all of the shit things that were happening, which is what I was doing. And sometimes it's seeing even the littlest things that are working out for you. Like, for me, whenever I would I I started getting these deals, like crazy deals like oh we're gonna save this much money on flooring we're gonna save this much money on cabinets we're gonna save this much money on windows because you know we got this deal and that deal and I started adding up that money in my head too and seeing oh this is working out for me and this is working out for me and this is working out for me and I guess like the whole point of this story is that I started feeling powerful.

Nicole:

I started feeling cared for started feeling connected to everything and I realized that it life wasn't against me and shit wasn't hard. I just was only looking at one side when really there was so much working out for me. I even have in this process felt so much more connected to myself. Like, I have had to love myself through the difficult times. There was for sure a moment in January when my son fell off the roof where I was crying every day.

Nicole:

There's like this mother's guilt that happened where I felt so bad about it. I couldn't process that. This had happened and I wasn't there. I wasn't there when it happened. He and my youngest son and his brother had rode their bikes to our other house which is pretty close to our house and they went up to the 2nd Floor and he tripped backwards fell off the 2nd Floor onto concrete and called the older one called me and was like something happened to Isaac you gotta come I was like what happened?

Nicole:

He's like he fell. That was it. And my older one had, you know, lost it. When I got there he was crying. The little one was crying and I had to carry him literally carry him into the ER and the people at the ER were like questioning me that I was a bad mother why you know did this happen why weren't there railings there were social workers that were like grilling me with questions obviously I could tell that they were looking for you know neglect like are you a bad mom kind of thing and it was hard.

Nicole:

I felt so so bad and for the next few at least two three weeks it I just couldn't process it and I would just start crying out of nowhere and I felt so so guilty but in this process I had to learn to love myself more to give myself more grace because I did the best that I could. I actually did a whole like thing of intuitive test was this in his soul plan for this to happen? Was this supposed to happen? You know, was I supposed to be there? No.

Nicole:

Like, what? Like, all these questions that reassured me that this was supposed to happen this way, the way it did, and there was nothing I could have done differently. I needed that reassurance, and luckily, I've trained my intuition so I can check all this stuff now, but it took a lot of self love you know that process I take you through and feel it to free it where you have to process the emotion I had to do that a lot every day several times a day just to move this feeling of guilt through my body. I had to let my husband be there for me, I had to let him hold me, I had to hold myself and this is all things that I practice. I do this in real life and now I I don't feel that you know being held in my body anymore but I had to process it through.

Nicole:

So, I guess the point of this podcast episode is that nobody's life is perfect. We are all going through something. We're all going through some shit. Some of us complain about and talk about it. You know, of us keep it in and keep it to ourselves.

Nicole:

But, it's how we move through it, how we move forward from it and what we learn from it. You know, maybe your life maybe this whole like here's something for you to to really change your perspective on things. Maybe your soul never expected this life to be perfect. Maybe it came here on purpose to experience all of it. The heartbreak, the uncertainty, the laughter around the fire pit, the ER visits, the wins and the losses, the stress, the overwhelm, these simple ordinary Tuesdays, the bigness, and the simpleness.

Nicole:

All of it. Maybe your soul never once looked at your life and thought that's not good enough you're not good enough your behind should be better maybe it was just simply setting everything up for you maybe it was just whispering keep going you're becoming exactly who you came here to be and even in those tough difficult you know shitty times like the little period I just went through I grew so much from it. These moments where it feels like your life explodes, you become such a bigger, more expanded version of yourself and the lessons we learn in these moments, they change us. If you are open to them and you're able to see them and feel them and learn from them if you're listening and paying attention to what's being taught to you at the moment these hard times they're here for us they're always here for us and they're here to shift us, to change us, to move us into this version of our soul that we are meant to be to reconnect us to our soul. That's what all of this whole podcast is about but those moments, those sometimes seasons of crazy you know like they're here for you and sometimes it just takes a little shift in perspective so remember the law of balance there's always an equal amount of good and bad.

Nicole:

We get both. We always get both. So if you're only looking at the side of all the negative, start paying attention to how there's actually so much positive too. And it's sometimes just the littlest things like the sun being out, you know, the breeze against your skin. You're walking, right?

Nicole:

You have legs, you're healthy, your body is breathing, you're not in a hospital bed. You can start little and start to be more present, start to pay attention to the good that attracts more into your life and there's always going to be an equal balance. So, if you're paying only attention to the bad, that's you know going to attract more bad. Start paying attention to the other side because it exists and it's all for you. Okay guys that's all I've got for you today hope you have a wonderful weekend I will see you next week.

Nicole:

Bye for now!
