Right on Rangers LIVE!

Dak Prescott made Cowboys history in a 37-20 win over Washington, throwing four touchdowns without an interception and passing Tony Romo for the Cowboys' career passing-touchdown record. CeeDee Lamb went for 153 yards and two scores, while Jake Ferguson added two touchdowns of his own.

Austin gets into why the offense earned real trust in the Week 2 response, why the defense still leaves questions despite Jaishawn Barham forcing a key fumble, and why Jayden Daniels' 69 rushing yards kept the mobile-quarterback concern alive. The show also looks at Dallas' struggling run game, the Overshown and Hooker absences, and next week's much tougher mobility test against Lamar Jackson and Baltimore in Rio.

What is Right on Rangers LIVE!?

Right on Rangers is where Rangers fans ride the season in real time.

The LIVE shows are the heartbeat. Big wins, ugly losses, bullpen chaos, breakout heaters, trade rumors, roster debates, and the takes that come with actually caring about this team.

Sometimes those takes get hot. That’s part of watching 162 with people who are invested. But the reaction still has receipts. We use stats, film, history, roster context, and what’s happening on the field to figure out what the game actually revealed.

Between LIVE shows, we go deeper on the players, decisions, stories, and moments shaping Texas baseball.

Rangers first, always. When the calendar turns, the Cowboys, Longhorns, Mavericks, and the biggest Texas sports stories get their run too.

If you want sterile box-score recaps, this probably isn’t your show. If you want passionate Rangers talk with actual baseball underneath it, welcome in.

Hi and welcome to another edition of Right

on Rangers Live, coming at you after a

37 to 20 Dallas Cowboys victory over the

Washington Commanders.

Dak, your new franchise leader in touchdowns, passing

Tony Romo.

Four tutties on the day for Dak Prescott.

And look, some good fortune, no doubt, went

the Cowboys way today.

Not, uh, obviously talking about Jayden Daniels.

I mean, I guess technically, if you want

to be a little ruthless, good fortune.

Never wish an injury upon any player, but

Cowboys got some breaks today.

Took advantage and now they head into a

Rio showdown with the Ravens coming up next

week in week three.

Got a lot to talk about today.

Thank you for joining us.

Hope you will be hanging out and obviously

along the way, comments, questions, welcome here at

Right on Rangers.

We cover everything Texas sports, but we put

a huge emphasis on the Cowboys during the

NFL season.

And we thank you so much for choosing

Right on Rangers for your Cowboys content.

Again, drop a comment, drop a question.

Would love to have you join in, be

a part of the fun with the show.

Let's go ahead and let's get into it.

So we started with Dak.

We absolutely, I think, need to begin with

the accomplishment.

We've already mentioned it.

Four touchdowns on the day.

Dak just made Cowboys history.

No interceptions.

That's an incredible response after week one.

And after week one, you really felt like

Dak Prescott and the Cowboys offense in general.

Although they clearly didn't have a lot of

opportunity, they had something to prove.

I think they didn't come out as sharp

as you would have liked against the Giants.

And at least I didn't feel like they

did.

You had an opportunity.

You really had an opportunity, I think, to

come out with a very strong statement today.

You accomplished that.

The offensive performance, while very pass heavy, was

pretty flawless, in my opinion.

You did not have a lot of moments

saved, maybe right before the half where this

one felt in doubt throughout the second half.

And I mean, especially just being real after

the Jayden Daniels injury, you definitely felt a

lot more secure with where the Cowboys were

at in getting back to 500 football.

Man, definitely the game that you needed to

see from this Cowboys team coming out of

a very disappointing Sunday night, opening night, opening

game for Dallas and company.

Look, that was career, by the way, just

to get specific.

Career touchdown pass number 249.

Romo had the record at 248.

Dak Prescott owns it now.

It is pretty incredible to just sit back

for a second and to really think about

all of the quarterbacks that have come before

Dak Prescott.

So you have Tony Romo, but obviously you

have Aikman, you have Roger Staubach, you've got

all of these guys.

The list goes on.

I mean, I could sit here and reel

off so many different names, but it's a

legendary group.

People that have quarterbacked players that have quarterbacked

the Dallas Cowboys and to have Dak Prescott

be sitting on top of all of those

when it comes to touchdowns.

Yes, the game has changed.

I think everybody understands that the game has

changed, but nevertheless, what a special, special moment

for Dak.

Crazy that 2016, you know, 10 years ago,

he took over.

Romo had the preseason injury.

Dak led the Cowboys along with Ezekiel Elliott

on that crazy run all the way to

the playoffs, and you've got him 10 years

later setting the record.

Doesn't feel like that long ago Dak was

taking over to me.

I know time goes by fast the older

I get, but it doesn't feel that long

ago.

Have to give Dak his flowers, man.

This is an impressive career.

This is a guy that gets a lot

of crap on a weekly basis, on a

daily basis at times, and Dak just continues

to answer the bell, and he's accomplished a

lot in a Cowboys uniform for this franchise,

and he's done, I think, a lot in

his time as the leader of this offense,

as one of the leaders and captains of

the team.

I think for all of the criticism Dak

Prescott gets today is a to appreciate.

Whatever you want to debate about Dak Prescott's

career, that record is real.

Nobody has thrown more touchdown passes in a

Dallas Cowboys uniform than him.

I love what he broke it to in

a game where you really needed a response

from him.

You really needed a response from this entire

offense and the team in general, and against

a division opponent like the Commanders.

Special that he was able to get it

done in this game, no doubt.

All right, let me get some comments in

the mix.

John, what's good?

Yeah, we're going to talk about the defense.

I'm trying to get some of my people

from TikTok in the mix here.

We're going to do that shortly.

Yeah, I just think the defense, man, you're

going to just hope and pray that they

get better as the year goes on.

I know that there's not a lot really

that was inspired today in terms of confidence

in my mind.

I think you have a case where Mariota

comes in, Daniels goes out, and things start

looking a little bit better, but still not

incredible.

I feel that the turnovers were very helpful.

Barham was a big piece today.

He had the forced fumble, felt like he

was flying around, and you definitely had some

other individual performances that you can appreciate.

We'll go through and read through the tackle

totals for you.

Winters, nine total.

Caleb Downs was flying all over the place.

He had nine total.

Had a pass deflection as well.

Barham, seven total.

I mean, those were your top three right

there.

Good to see Downs continuing to get into

the mix, and also in the passing game,

not just flying up field and making tackles

towards the line of scrimmage, but making an

impact in the passing game.

You had Jalen Thompson, Quinnen Williams, Kenny Clark,

and you also had Malachi Lawrence.

You had Bullard.

The list goes on.

You had a lot of quarterback hits today,

and with a mobile quarterback and then Mariota

coming in, kind of expect that, but it

was really, really a positive sign, I think,

at least to see the turnovers.

I'm not saying that everything else looks perfect.

The secondary still has a lot of work,

but I will say the turnovers gave me

at least a little positive to take away,

but I do agree, large majority of the

downside of the criticisms in this game probably

going to go to the defense in this

one.

It comes to what's good.

By the way, TikTok, sorry about some of

the technical difficulties.

I switched to a new multi-streaming service,

and they had TikTok available, but a lot

of what TikTok does through the multi-streaming

is like the gaming, and obviously this isn't

like video games.

This is just sports talk, so I think

I'm going to have to go back to

the phone.

I tried to get things online for the

Rangers feed, and some people actually said it

was nice.

It worked out really well, but I think

we're going to have to go back to

the phone.

The defensive line, yeah, you definitely had some

names getting involved here.

We talked about some of the guys that

had quarterback hits today, but I just feel

like by and large, this was not the

response you wanted to see from the defense,

especially considering that you had Jayden Daniels go

out right before halftime.

You would think that they really would have

started chopping some wood, man.

You really thought they would have started pinning

their ears back and doing some damage with

Mariota in there, who obviously didn't take a

lot of first-team snaps at all this

week heading up to the game.

It still felt a little bit too easy

at times for the commanders in the second

half, even though they only scored 10 points.

I mean, 20 points is absolutely something I

think you'll take, but if you watch the

game from quarter to quarter, you feel like

this defense still needs to reach a higher

level.

I know that's where I'm at after having

watched all four quarters myself.

Had to balance the Rangers game in the

mix a little bit there.

If you're coming back from hanging out with

me for the Rangers live, I appreciate it,

man.

We are doing double duty today.

It's good stuff, man.

It's my favorite time of the year.

It kind of drives my wife nuts.

God bless her.

She's a saint, but this is one of

my favorite times of the year.

A lot of sports, a lot of football,

a lot of baseball.

It's great.

I thank you for hanging out.

We already talked about Dak.

I think today is a Dak day, man.

You focus on all of the positives that

he's accomplished in his time as a Cowboy.

He's had some near-MVP seasons, probably a

season or two where he arguably could have

been MVP.

Great leader and a good face of the

franchise.

Definitely had a little bit of a rocky,

it felt like rocky season last year.

He had some personal issues as well that

were very highly publicized.

I just think this is a great moment

for him.

Great moment for Dak.

Couldn't be happier for him.

He's an easy guy to cheer for.

I have been on the record.

I don't know if Dak is ever going

to win a championship.

I just don't know.

You guys know I like to keep it

real on the show.

I know sometimes when I give my take,

it feels like if it's even slightly negative,

I must hate the player.

I must really not like the guy.

Love the player.

Love Dak.

There's really nobody else I can think of

at this point in my mind.

I don't know if I cheer for anyone

harder than him on the team.

I feel that Dak is definitely due for

some post-season success.

I think that is the missing component from

his career.

I don't think there's any denying that.

He's an easy guy to cheer for.

What an accomplishment, passing Romo today.

Yes, the game has changed.

Nevertheless, Dak, the leading quarterback when it comes

to touchdowns.

Good stuff, man.

Eric, what's up, man?

Appreciate you hanging out.

Mariners, please beat up on the Astros.

Beat up on the Astros this week, man.

That would be phenomenal.

And yes, let's go, boys.

Let's go.

To comes the same boat, man.

Comment from TikTok.

My wife hates this time of year.

It's like September, October, and then it's like

March when it's like March madness.

Rangers are doing the preseason, and I'm really

starting to heat up when it's like spring

training.

I'm watching all the spring training games, trying

to get a feel.

And then, of course, you've got basketball.

NBA is starting to get into playoff time.

I'm a Mavericks fan, so we didn't have

a whole lot to worry about in terms

of the postseason.

Hopefully, this year with Kyrie Healthy and Cooper

Flagg, I'm looking forward to covering the Mavs

a little bit more.

I did not cover the Mavs a ton

last year, except for some of the major

stories.

It wasn't a ton to cover, except for

maybe the Cooper Flagg highlight reels that you

would see every so often coming from his

rookie of the year season.

But yeah, God bless our wives that put

up with us during this time, man.

I'm very lucky for sure.

Love you, honey, and thanks for being such

a good sport.

No pun intended.

With that, let's keep on rolling.

So at this point, I want to talk

through some other, maybe lesser covered things, I

think, that are going to come out of

this game.

First of all, the mobile quarterback problem.

Let's just kind of talk this through.

Let's get a little bit nitpicky here with

the defense.

So first of all, you had last week,

mobile quarterback, Jaxson Dart, giving you some issues.

You had this week, Mariota, and then Daniels

before that, giving you some issues.

Daniels carried it seven times for 69 yards

before he got hurt.

Almost 10 yards of carry, man.

When you just say things out loud sometimes,

I'm a little bit worried about how they

are going to be faring next week.

I mean, I think it's a very fair

concern at this point.

I know there's a lot of people that

are going to point towards the secondary.

I know we're talking about the defensive line.

It's a big time worry for me how

this team is handling the mobile quarterbacks.

You have had back-to-back weeks, quarterbacks

pretty much run all over this defense.

And you've already got issues covering wide receivers.

I know some of you expressed concern about

the run defense as well.

And I know that obviously mobile quarterbacks are

a strong part of that, but nevertheless, it's

just something that I've really got my eye

on with Lamar Jackson as the opposing QB

next week in Rio.

Cowboys have had a little bit of a

brutal stretch here.

Really athletic QBs.

And I think this is going to be

one of the big things that they are

going to have to key in on if

they do not want the game to get

out of control next week from a defensive

perspective.

Lamar today, Ravens, lost to the New Orleans

Saints.

Lamar was 21 for 31.

He had, let's see, not very many yards

on the ground.

He had four carries, 34 yards long at

13.

So Lamar was not using his legs a

ton today.

A little bit of that.

Actually, yeah, a little bit of that was

game script because you had the New Orleans

Saints go up there in the fourth quarter.

So Lamar was doing a lot of throwing

in the fourth, but that's a big worry

for me.

I'd love to see them really get a

handle on some of these quarterbacks running wild.

I think you have some nice turnovers today.

Barham created that huge fumble that kind of

flipped things, turned things into seven points.

That definitely matters.

Washington to me just, they moved the ball

way too consistently.

You can't come out here pounding the table

too hard on Christian Parker's defense, even though

they only give up 20 points.

Nowhere to hide next week.

Lamar Jackson's coming and look, if quarterback movement

kills Dallas for a third straight week, we

are officially to me talking about a real

flaw that needs addressing.

Yes, the secondary cover and the wide receivers

that needs addressing.

There's, I feel like just a number of

holes at this point.

I definitely don't feel like it's just one

issue, which is troubling.

I think a lot of Cowboys fans have

every right to be concerned.

Christian Parker, very well hyped up as he

was hired coming into this season.

Eberflus as much maligned last year.

He definitely was, was not a fan favorite

with some of the defensive efforts that we

saw from Matt Eberflus and his defense.

I think a lot of us felt like

there's only one way to go and it's

up kind of feels like we're just sticking

around at the basement level right now.

Hey, Brad, appreciate that, man.

Yeah.

Look, I do have a little shameless plug

here.

I do have a right on Rangers discord

channel.

I 100% love the community that we

built in there.

It's essentially just a large group chat, man.

If you're not familiar with discord used a

lot for gaming and stuff like that, but

I use it for all of the people

that have subscribed to the channel that have

become members on YouTube.

It is the one thing that I monetized

on the channel.

It's $2.99 a month.

I know it's not for everybody and I

know $2.99 is real money.

So definitely don't want to just toss that

to the side, but I totally get it.

And we have a day and age right

now where there's 9 million different subscriptions that

you can have.

But if you want to be a part

of that community, it's awesome.

A lot of good people in there.

We talk a lot of Rangers baseball, but

we talk pretty much all sports on Saturdays.

College football stuff is going in there on

Sundays.

There's NFL stuff going in there.

So, Hey, if you want to be a

part of that, all you have to do

is subscribe.

If you're on Tik TOK or join, if

you're on YouTube, those are the only places

I have subscription set up by the way,

right now, I've had some issues with some

scamming going on, particularly on Tik TOK.

Just make sure you do everything officially either

through Tik TOK or YouTube.

If you decide to sign up, Brad, thanks

so much, man.

Appreciate the gift.

Thank you for the plug means a lot,

brother.

All right.

Let's check some comments real quick.

Yeah, the defense sucks weekend warrior.

What's good.

Yeah, absolutely.

100% and not something that you wanted

to see that the offense definitely responded.

Well, I don't think that there's a lot

that I would critique offensively.

Maybe besides the fact that the run game

just was not really there today.

And you've got, as Tom Brady said in

the booth, you've got some players that you're

paying a lot of money to catch the

football, including Dak Prescott to throw the football.

So I understand why there would be a

little bit of an emphasis on passing.

I don't think that there's any shock there,

but you decided to pay Javonte.

You brought him back.

They tried to get, I think the run

game going today and it just was not

working.

12 carries for 30 yards, two and a

half.

You know, you had some other guys, Demercado

got in there.

You had Turpin carrying at once.

You definitely had, you know, I think 20

plus carries.

Yeah.

20 plus care.

21.

Okay.

21.

I mean, you ran the ball, no doubt,

but just didn't have a lot of success

doing it.

That would be maybe the one thing for

next week that you'd love to see the

Cowboys get right.

Controlling the game a little bit more by

running the football.

That would be my preference.

Definitely.

The one thing, if you are looking to

be a little bit nit picky about the

offense today, that would definitely be what I

would like to see improve going into Rio

next week.

Hey Brian, what's good, man.

Yeah.

Rangers magic number is at six.

You've got a week of some pretty good

baseball coming up.

You've got Rangers against Mets Rangers against the

twins Astros play the Mariners and they play

the A's both on the road.

I believe Rangers have it set up.

Well, man, we were talking about that on

the show earlier today.

Rangers really do have it set up.

Well, you really hope that they can figure

out a way and that they can come

to play.

All right, y'all.

I got more.

Oh, I got more.

Trust me.

Defensively though.

If we want to go positive, we got

a little nitpicky with the offense.

Let's go ahead and let's get a little

positive with the defense.

I already mentioned Jaishawn Barham, man.

I think he deserves some real credit today,

you know, for, for everything that I'm questioning

and that we're questioning.

I think Barham deserves some flowers, man.

A rookie linebacker, right?

Rookie wearing the green dot with Overshown out.

And he creates one of the biggest plays

of the afternoon that fumble recovery from Barham

that felt like the sealer.

Like I know there was still game left,

but you got the fumble recovery from the

rookie Mike, and then they immediately take it

into score.

And it felt like, you know, if they

wouldn't have gotten that turnover, you just don't

know how the game is going to play

out.

You know, in baseball, I was talking about,

it's so hard to do the book, the

butterfly effect.

If you go back and change one thing,

how does that then translate over the rest

of the game?

You know, it's tough to play that game

totally, but I will say, you know, third

quarter there, you've got Dallas, you know, going

in and, you know, putting up some points.

They were leading going into that possession, 20

to 13, you had them kicking the field

goal.

And then you had the fumble.

And at that point, Washington could have came

down if they hadn't fumbled tied the game.

And the defense was, was letting them March

man, that fumble that Barham forced just so

huge.

I think that was really the play that

changed the game here.

And so as much as we're going to

crap on the defense a little bit today,

get on Christian Parker, talk about all the

things that need to get fixed before Rio.

And I'm not sure you're going to be

able to fix them all.

We got to highlight some of the positive

man.

This is a game.

The Cowboys won.

This is a game.

The defense gave up 20 Jaishawn Barham

rookie with Overshown out, stepped up big and

two plays later after he did.

So Fergie gets his second tuddy of the

game.

That that's exactly how the defense or a

player on defense can change the game without

dominating the box score.

I know Barham was top three in tackles

rightfully.

So as the Mike linebacker, right?

But nevertheless, things that aren't always going to

show up in the box score in terms

of their meaning and true impact.

Yeah.

You're going to look at the box score

and see bar.

I'm forced to fumble, but within the context

of the game, that was huge.

Probably one of the plays, uh, Caleb downs

in Vaughn Miller.

What did they do?

Downs was another one of the top tacklers

today did have a past deflection as well.

Brent, I'm, I don't know if today I

walk away feeling a no pun intended here

down on downs, but I do think you're

going to have some feel out with Von

Miller.

I'm, I'm being a little patient with Von.

I, but I never expected Vaughn Miller to

come in and, and immediately dominate.

And Trent, by the way, I hope I'm

picking up what you're throwing down.

Let me know if, uh, if you're meaning

it a different way with the comment comment

just said, Caleb downs and Vaughn Miller, what

do they do?

I mean, I think that it's going to

take a second with Vaughn really what, what

is his defined role?

Is it just third downs?

Uh, where is he most effective this season

within the context of the defense?

I'm not panicking on, you know, the Vaughn

Miller situation and downs when you really step

back and just say it out loud two

games.

Uh, and today tied along with Dee Winters

tied for the most tackles on the team.

Plus how to pass deflection.

I mean, yeah, I definitely don't feel like

we can get too picky on him.

There's other guys.

I think you definitely highlight a little bit

more if you're looking for problems.

I mean the secondary, I am worried about

worried about that secondary man.

Uh, J K what's good.

Defense was hard to watch.

If Daniels don't get hurt, we lose.

It's definitely close.

It's a shootout.

It is a shootout.

Maybe Dak answers the bell and it's one

of those, whoever has the ball last wins.

I could definitely see something like that happening.

That makes sense to me, but you might

have, you might be right.

It's hard to go back in time and

really figure if, if that would have happened

or wouldn't have happened, it definitely would have

been a close ball game.

Shane, I'm with you.

Like I, I choose to think as an

optimistic fan and look, you guys know I

do keep it real, but I try to

be optimistic where I can be.

Like Dak was feeling it today.

I don't think there's any denying Dak was

feeling it today.

I mean, it not just setting the record.

I mean, he's 26 for 31.

He had five incompletions, uh, you know, 279

yards, four touchdowns.

Like Dak was feeling himself today.

So I don't necessarily feel like it's an

automatic loss if Daniels doesn't leave the game,

but it's not a 17 point, you know,

three possession ball game, man.

It's definitely a tight game all the way

to the end.

We'll never know it.

Look, shoot prayers for Daniels, man.

I don't like guys getting hurt.

I know there's, there's some fans maybe cheering,

but not me, man.

I always kind of thought though, whenever I

played and just in my mind as a

fan, it's more fun when you play against

the best and beat them.

Then if you get lucky against a backup,

I'm not saying that today's win is cheap

by any means it's it's a win.

And you're not going to look back on

this game and be worried about the fact

that Daniels didn't play the second half.

You know, when you're sitting there in week

15, week 16, getting ready for a playoff

March, like you're not going to be worried

about that.

That being said, I enjoy thoroughly when you

beat a team at full strength.

And so nobody likes to see that.

Nobody likes to see the injuries.

Nate.

Yes, sir.

Happy to get a win today.

Hey Broncos fan in the house.

Appreciate you brother.

Hey, I would say anybody's welcome.

I do not think I do not think

that this is one of those streams, even

among the people that follow along where we

can't have some different opinions and have some

fun, man.

Look, I always like going back and forth

with with people from not only my own

fan base, but also from different fan bases

as well.

Plus, you guys can give us some good

insight, man.

So thank you for hanging, man.

We appreciate you.

Let's see, Brian.

Yes, we were talking about the mobile quarterback

issue.

It's not going to get any easier with

Lamar.

Brett, what's good, man?

Yeah, love this hat.

Supporting the military, man.

I've got a ton of different salute to

service stuff.

Always one of my favorite parts of the

season, seeing what new gear they come out

with.

Some of you know, I do have a

brother in the military.

My dad was in the Air Force for

a little bit as well, too.

So definitely appreciate the armed forces in our

country making the ultimate sacrifice of being willing

to make the ultimate sacrifice.

It's something I don't take for granted.

And so 100% thankful for the troops.

And yeah, this hat is amazing.

I love this.

Probably my favorite Cowboys hat to come.

So says Tick Tock on here.

Let's not panic just yet.

The boys will get better.

I mean, we did say that there's only

one way to go here for the defense,

and it is up there.

There is nowhere to go but up here

for Christian Parker's unit.

And this feels just about as bad as

last year with Eberflus at the helm.

I really do feel like they got better,

at least personnel-wise, defensively.

I feel like they did upgrade.

I don't feel like it was stagnant in

terms of what they added and what they

brought in.

Obviously, you add Caleb Downs.

You're feeling like you got better skill-wise,

but it is still the exact same thing,

the same result in terms of or offenses,

excuse me, just having their way.

Whiskey with waters.

I appreciate the comments, man.

You know what?

I know a lot of people are hoping

Jerry Jones lives forever.

That was the comment.

And look, I think a lot of what

you have from Cowboys fans, man, a lot

of frustration in that regard, no doubt.

Jerry Jones, to me, I think probably had

one of his better off-seasons.

Doesn't mean that I think he's the perfect

man for the job.

In fact, I've been on record.

It would be nice to have a little

bit of a fresh decision-making process in

the Cowboys' front office.

Not going to happen for a while, so

it is what it is.

Not really worth complaining about, but nevertheless, yeah,

I know a lot of fans from opposing

teams are going to be very happy while

Jerry Jones continues on.

Marcus, what's good, man?

Yeah, I know Daniel's going out.

It changed the whole complexion of the game.

It did not look good either.

I'm not sure he's going to be coming

back this season.

WhiskeyWithWaters, I agree.

It's an amazing fan experience.

There's always attention on the Cowboys, but in

terms of building a Super Bowl-winning team,

yeah, we're leaving some things on the table

in that regard.

That is for sure.

We keep going, man.

We're having a great show so far.

We've been rocking for about 30 minutes now,

planning on going somewhere between 45 and an

hour, and then we want to go watch

this Sunday night game here.

That's the plan.

Sticking to it.

Tonight's game.

Who is playing tonight, by the way?

What do we got?

We got Giants and Rams tomorrow.

Who's tonight?

Oh, Colts Chiefs.

All right, Colts Chiefs.

There we go.

It's going crazy for a second.

I'm like, what?

Where's Sunday night football?

Colts Chiefs tonight.

Chiefs favored by about a touchdown, it looks

like.

There you go.

Then Giants-Rams tomorrow.

Go Rams.

Playing out in LA, by the way.

We're going to do a preview of the

Baltimore game here in just a little bit.

They are playing Sunday.

It'll be 325 Central, but they're playing in

Rio, in Brazil.

At least you are kind of playing in

the same time zone here.

It's a lot of travel, but at least

you're playing in the same time zone, and

it's not like you're over to London and

you've got to really adjust to an eight

-hour difference, seven-hour difference, whatever it is.

I think that the game against the Ravens

is going to be a good one.

You have Baltimore, same record, 1-1.

They lost today 24-17 to the Saints,

to New Orleans.

We're going to preview that one here in

just a little bit, but we're going to

try and bring this one to a close.

I definitely hope that going into this next

week, you have a lot of the momentum

carried from the offense into next week's game

and defense.

Hopefully, they can figure some things out.

Hopefully, man.

D for Dendez, yes, sir.

Go Cowboys, go Rangers.

Amen.

Amen.

Let's keep rolling here.

Now, with the roster, with the availability today,

you had Overshown, you had Hooker not available.

Barham really stepped up into that mic role.

I think that context definitely matters when you

grade the defense.

This defense, one thing I think you can

say if you want to push back even

a little bit in the other direction, which

I always think is healthy, you're not operating

at full strength.

It was just a couple of games, but

for me, it's just not a great feeling,

not something that I'm really willing to settle

for after such a bad year last year.

Had last year not been as bad, I

might be willing to be a little bit

more patient with the defense, but the fact

that we had to sit through just terrible

last year, this doesn't make me feel good.

Overshown being out, Hooker being out, you're asking

a rookie linebacker to communicate the defense.

That's not ideal.

I think we could all say that and

agree on that.

It's not ideal to have a rookie linebacker

leading your defense.

So that's why the Barham performance today really

carries a little extra weight for me.

I definitely don't think it's ideal having a

rookie out there leading the troops, nothing against

Barham, but you've got a guy that is

fresh out of college, directed everybody, trying to

keep everybody in line defensively.

Of course, you've got coaches and other people

helping you out.

You've got other veterans that are there, I'm

sure, being leaders, but still, nonetheless, impressive from

Barham today.

I'm not using, I just want to clarify

before we move on, I'm not using injuries

to explain away 300 plus yards, but I'm

just keeping these things in mind as I

evaluate.

Now, Rio, next week, Baltimore, again, same record,

1-1 as the Cowboys, they lost to

the Saints today.

Ravens led 14-6 at halftime, if you

didn't catch that game, and they were outscored

18-3.

Afterward, Lamar, 21-31, 235 yards, one touchdown,

had an interception as well.

Derrick Henry ran for 68 yards and a

score.

We've talked about quarterback mobility being an issue

for this defense.

I think that being said, Lamar Jackson is

probably the worst possible next exam.

Not really a guy that you want to

face after two mobile quarterbacks in Jackson, Dart,

and Daniels, along with Mariota a little bit,

have exposed you.

You can't sell out for Lamar.

You got Derrick Henry then barreling down.

It's a very tough matchup, I think, for

the Cowboys.

You're going to have to score some points

against the Ravens.

Baltimore's dangerous.

I do think they are a dangerous football

team, but they're coming off an ugly second

half.

New Orleans held them to just three points

after halftime.

I think that there is an opportunity here.

You might be getting them at a bit

of a vulnerable time here.

Dallas' offensive line is going to get a

serious test, I think, too.

Baltimore has a good pass rush, and they

will be trying to make Dak's afternoon look

very different than what happened today if all

that protection around Dak breaks down.

Zay Flowers, the hamstring injury, probably one of

the things I'll be watching for this week

is availability will definitely be a big factor.

It'll change the stress on the secondary, that's

for sure, if they don't have Zay Flowers

for the Baltimore offense.

That could be helpful to a Cowboys defense

that's real in a little bit here.

The biggest Dallas stress point, Lamar's movement, without

opening up things for Derrick Henry.

Best attack point, probably Baltimore's second half offensive

stall.

I'd be locking in on that tape.

What did New Orleans do well?

You know that Baltimore is going to be

making adjustments, but what did they do well?

Without Harbaugh as well, I definitely was curious

coming into this season and into the offseason,

how is that team going to feel?

How is that team going to look?

How are they going to operate with a

new coach without Harbaugh?

I think so far, hard to tell after

two games, but that is something that I

think you have to consider in all this.

It's a team that is hearing some new

voices and probably still trying to find their

footing and get totally comfortable.

I do think though, at the end of

the day, one ugly half against the Saints,

don't take this wrong.

Don't get it twisted.

I don't think that's enough to feel amazing

about the Cowboys' chances, but I do think

if you can get this performance from Dak,

yeah, it might turn into a shootout, but

if you can get this kind of offense

from Dak and the wide receivers and maybe

focus in, get a little bit more push

with the running game, I think you can

see some positive results next week, no doubt.

Roy, 100%.

Every team is going to make adjustments.

Every team going to make some adjustments from

week to week.

That being said, momentum is a real thing

in football.

When you're going well, you're going well.

When things are starting to stack up, I

do think that that matters, but yeah, for

each team, the Cowboys and the Ravens, it's

early, early in the season, 100%.

Defense was weird.

I do agree with that comment from YouTube

here.

Yeah, the defense, they definitely have some things

to clean up.

You have a couple of performances that we

highlighted, but by and large, yeah, I think

they do have some things to clean up.

That is for sure.

All right, we keep rolling.

First of all, next week, we will be

live same time, probably fourth quarter.

I usually try to go a little bit

earlier, but like I said, I think I

was telling some of you guys, I've been

doing some different setup with the tech, with

the streaming.

I just switched streaming services, and so I've

been working out some of the kinks, so

didn't quite go live in the fourth quarter

this week, but that will be the plan

for next week.

Next week is Rangers baseball finishing up, so

it'll be, well, hopefully it won't be our

last Sunday Rangers and Cowboys if the Rangers

make a nice little playoff run for us,

but we'll see.

We have a number, a limited number of

these left, but man, I love when you've

got Rangers baseball, Cowboys football going at the

same time.

Let's go ahead and land this thing, though.

So, today told me Dak Prescott and this

offense, they can absolutely provide the stabilizing force

that Dallas needs.

Four touchdowns, no picks, franchise record, is an

incredible response to the down game that you

saw last week against the Giants.

Still unsure about Christian Parker's defense and whether

or not they've actually solved the quarterback movement

problem or merely survived it for just one

afternoon, and now you've got Lamar Jackson coming

up next.

You've got a secondary that looks a little

suspect.

It's going to be a shootout, I think,

next week in Rio, if I had to

make a prediction.

That's what I'm watching for next week in

the Cowboys put up some points because I

have a feeling the defense is going to

have a bit of a long day.

Hope to be wrong.

Hope to be eating a massive plate of

crow this time next week, but I think

the Cowboys are going to need some points

to win that game.

Curious what the line is.

Let me check this out.

You guys know I'm not huge into gambling

and odds and stuff like that on the

show, but always curious.

Enjoy putting a football bet in now and

then myself, but definitely not a big-time

gambling or betting show.

Although, if you want my take on a

pick, I'll be more than happy to give

it.

We have week three.

Thursday night is Falcons-Packers.

Okay, I always like to know what the

Thursday night game is.

Then Cowboys, they are again at 125.

Looking at just the entire schedule right now.

Looks like the Cowboys are plus three.

The Cowboys are underdogs going into the game

next week.

They are plus three.

Total is 51.5. Vegas feeling like points

are going to be scored as well in

that one.

Sunday night game is Rams-Broncos.

Rams got back-to-back Sunday-Monday night

games.

There you go.

Rams-Broncos Sunday night.

Eagles-Bears Monday night football next week in

eight days.

Caleb Williams injury, that's going to be interesting

to see what happens there.

That did not look good.

You had a couple of big quarterbacks going

down today, didn't you?

Williams.

You also, of course, had Jayden Daniels from

the Commanders.

Not great, man.

It's always better.

The NFL is always better when you've got

all of the good quarterbacks playing.

Bison returns a comment from YouTube.

Ravens are going to put up 21 plus

on Dallas.

I don't think a lot of people doubt

that.

I don't doubt that.

I think if you're going to beat Baltimore

next week, it's going to be a shootout.

I don't think anybody that's actually watched the

first two games, the first eight quarters of

Dallas Cowboys football would disagree.

If you're going to beat Lamar, Derrick Henry

and company next week in Rio, you're going

to have to put up some touchdowns, man.

I don't see any other way.

Uh, let's see.

Brooke, thanks for sharing the live.

Thank you.

It means a lot.

It comes to let's go Rangers.

Let's go Cowboys.

Uh, yes, sir.

Roy Rangers finishing strong giants finishing weak.

Oh, Hey, look, at least we, we come

together on the Cowboys.

You know, we, I always tell everybody, I

know I'm not going to hit everybody's sweet

spot with every professional sport, but Hey, come

hang out always, whether you're a Cowboys fan

or not, come talk some friendly trash.

We've already had a few people do that.

I love it.

Uh, if you're not a Rangers fan, you're

a Cowboys fan, man.

You got another favorite team.

Come hang out.

If you see me doing a Ranger show,

you always know, I always wear the hat.

So you can always tell what show it

is by the hat.

If I got a Rangers hat on, you

know, we're talking Rangers, but I never care.

Mix in a little bit for the purposes

of just the separate pods.

I try to keep it a little more

focused on one or the other, but that

being said, you can always tell what we're

talking by the hat I'm wearing.

Never be shy though.

You know, you, you don't like the Rangers,

but you love baseball.

Come hang out, man.

We'll, we'll hit something.

I'm sure of interest sooner or later.

Give us a hard time.

It's all part of being, it's all part

of the fun of being a fan.

I really do believe that genuinely.

Okay.

I'm agree with you, man.

Uh, defense is poor was the comment from

TikTok.

Yup.

No disagreements.

Defense has a lot to prove for next

week in Rio, especially with Lamar and Derek

Henry to deal with as well.

Not necessarily getting easier for Christian Parker's unit,

but the only way to go is up.

I will say this, uh, hope you guys

have a great week ahead.

We'll have a lot of content coming out

to you guys.

Uh, so Rangers, Cowboys, uh, we also cover

the Longhorns, uh, Dallas, uh, Dallas sports, a

lot of them like the Mavericks, uh, the

Cowboys Rangers Longhorns, but we'll have a lot

of different content out to you guys throughout

this week for all the teams that we

cover.

Hope you'll follow along.

And Hey, if you know somebody that's a

diehard Cowboys fan, hasn't heard of ride on

Rangers, maybe, you know, they like the Rangers

too, please send them my way.

A lot of you guys have helped me

out so much growing this account, growing this

channel over the past three years, just word

of mouth, uh, hitting that send button, hitting

that share button and sending it.

Somebody's way means a ton.

So please know how much I appreciate that.

Thank you to everybody that commented.

We don't take any support of the show

for granted.

Hope you have a great week ahead.

The next time I'll be on the live,

maybe, uh, maybe tomorrow, maybe I'll do an

off day live.

Uh, maybe, I don't know.

We'll see what happens, but Tuesday for sure.

Tuesday night, Rangers open up a three game

homestand against the Mets.

That will be the next show that we

actually have a game to talk about.

We'll say that.

So have a great week ahead, have a

good rest of your night, enjoy the football

game.

And as I always say to end every

show, God bless and go Cowboys.
