Full show transcript:
Hey, it's Josh Tyler from Wake Up Classy 97. Just wanted to say thanks so much for being a part of our show and listening to our podcast and taking us along with you wherever you go, whenever you're listening. We really appreciate it. As we get ready for Thanksgiving week, we just wanted to say a little bit of gratitude because it means a lot to us. It goes a long way in our day to hear from people that listen to the show and sort of like what we're doing or have feedback for us.
It really makes our day. So thanks so much. If you want to reach out to the show, you can anytime. Send us an email, wakeupclassy97atgmail.com. That goes directly to Chantel and myself. And we'd love to hear from you. If you've got comments or suggestions or you just want to say hi, that's totally cool. We'd love to hear from you.
Wake upclassy97atgmail.com is the email. And we'll get right into today's show. It's a little bit of a short one. We had the Trans-Siberian Orchestra show last night, so we got to sleep in a little bit this morning, which was really great.
And then Chantel had to run out for an appointment. So I'm here all by myself this morning kind of getting things going for the podcast. And of course, next week is Thanksgiving week, so we'll be here Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. We'll have new shows. We'll be out Thursday and Friday, but three new shows next week. So anyway, thanks for listening. Here's today's show. Well, good morning.
Good morning to you, Josh.
You and I got a little bit of sleeping in. Not much. It still kind of felt like it wasn't much different waking up a little bit later. It still feels like, yeah.
It still feels like early morning.
Right. Foggy, foggy morning this morning as well. Beautiful. Yeah, very cool. Got to see everybody's headlights and how they're angled. That was neat. I didn't even notice that. Oh, I spent a lot of time playing with mine. Mine are adjustable.
No, fancy. You're so rich. No, I can make them point to the ground or I can make them point up to the sky if I want. And it's adjustable, so if I'm towing a trailer and it takes the front of the truck up at all, I can point my headlights back down. So I don't just shoot them up in the sky. You're so fancy and rich.
Yeah, okay. Not really. Kinda. No, it's just a feature they put on the truck. I don't have that. Again, I'll remind you, I don't have heated seats if you do.
Again, I'll remind you. I liked the fog. I thought it was beautiful. I took the dog out this morning and I went, oh, this is kind of cool.
Yeah, it's the kind of fog that would stick to the trees. And then if there was a sudden drop in temperature, everything would be frosty white. It's that kind of fog. So anyway, give yourself a little extra travel time and be careful this morning.
There is some low visibility with the fog. Yeah, depending on where you're at too. It seemed more dense near our house than it was driving down like the main road. Well, I just wonder if it was starting to lighten up when we got here.
That's what I wondered. No, but there were more street lights on the main road than there are in our neighborhood for sure. Okay. So that's a potential point. But the density, you can still see further away as you got onto the main road anyway. So be careful.
Leave extra space. Enjoy the fog. It's kind of fun, but be responsible. Don't be all crazy. And I'm sure we're going to break down the night here in a little while. We got to talk about that. Eight o'clock is not that far away. We are less than 54 minutes away from kicking off all Christmas on Classy 97 as well.
All Christmas. All Christmas. All the time. All day. 24-7. Yeah, so that's happening. What else is going on? It's Friday.
Okay, we got that. Yes? Woot, woot, woot. Okay. And that's what I know.
It's not very much. Just Friday and Christmas music. That's all you need to know.
And it is our wicked weekend. That's true. So we've got that to look forward to. Today is Gingerbread Cookie Day. If you want to make that happen, I love that.
I know, I'm not going to make that
happen, but you can make that happen. Very good. It's also National Stuffing Day. Oh, I love stuffing. Now, if you were going to make homemade stuffing, how long do you think it takes to dry out the bread? I bet it doesn't take two days.
I've never made stuffing where I've had to dry out the bread. I just fry the pre-dried bread crumbs.
Right. So I don't know. I'm just thinking stuffing days a little early. Because we are still six days away from Thanksgiving.
You can have stuffing any day. Well, sure you can. You could put it in the middle of summer if you want. You could. Stuffing's delicious. It's one of your favorite parts. It is one of my favorite parts.
Especially the little crunchy bits. Oh, yeah.
There's a chicken pot pie I make with
stuffing on the top and then it gets all crunchy. Yes. So good. Every time it turns to food, we just sit here and go, man, I'm hungry.
I know because food is delicious. Food is awesome. Isn't food awesome? Food is awesome. Food is so awesome. It's the best. Thank you, food.
Thank you for providing me with nourishment. And deliciousness. Making my belly feel full.
Yeah. Take a minute for food.
Well, we're getting ready to do the kickoff. And we're in the studio and all that is happening. And it's stuffing day and it's gingerbread cookie day and it's Friday. And yep, here we go. Welcome aboard.
New York City, you've been there.
I have been there. What do we know about it?
You've been in the subway? I have been in the subway. Can you recall what the subway smells like?
Well, it depends on what part of the subway you're at.
It depends on where in the city you are. But I can tell you like for several different stops that we had to go to. And when you're walking up the little stairs and there was one point we had to detour and go up some weird little metal stairs in one part, a lot of the smell was like really old like oil and grease. There's it's kind of a I don't know how to how better to explain it. It's like it's like hot old dirty oil. Yeah.
It's gross. I get nervous in the subway. I don't like it.
You get nervous in the subway? Not because I'm afraid of necessarily anything happening to me. But I'm afraid of getting trapped down there. I'm afraid that like the subway openings are going to be somehow blocked. And then you're just stuck down in the subway. Yeah, I didn't have that.
Oh, I didn't. I didn't like being down there for that reason because the air is like it's not great air down there. And so then I go, oh, it feels a little stagnant. Yeah.
This is what I have to breathe forever if I get stuck down here. Scary.
This hot oil air.
Well, let me tell you something. Let me tell you something. Bath and body works. Okay. You know them. I've heard of them. They are trying to make the subway system smell like Christmas. So they've added diffusers on a platform at Grand Central Station. Okay.
That release puffs of air that smell like vanilla and fresh pine. All right. Is it working? I don't know. If you pass through Grand Central Station this month, it should smell like Christmas. Interesting. There's only on one subway platform where you can catch the shuttle to Times Square and that's where you'll be able to smell it.
Yeah. See, we didn't hit Grand Central. I'm kind of bummed about that.
I know. We got to go back. We were rushed.
We were there for a few days and we were rushed. Like we need to go back and still spend another few days. I know.
I agree. Let's go back. Yeah. Let's go back right now and then we can, we'll go to the subway.
Yeah, we'll go check it out. We'll go check out the Rockefeller trees. See, we weren't there at Christmas time. We were there in September, which was still a good time to be there. It was late September, but we didn't really get to like see all the seats.
No, we got to go see all the stuff. Let's go back. You still haven't seen the Flatiron building. No, I know. When I went the first time, I went, my friends and I separated because we were running out of time and we said, let's all go do our own thing because we just don't have time to do all the things. Look
at you, Miss Independent, walking around the Big Apple by yourself. You called me at one point because you were being chased by pigeons. It was.
They were attacking me.
Yeah, I don't think they were. They were. I think they were just near you. I didn't make it to the Flatiron building. I got spooked out. Were you going to just walk to it?
I think that's probably the problem is that I wasn't going to walk to it. I was going to take a subway and maybe I got spooked out by. Probably checks out. I know. I've always been a scaredy cat. I mean, my middle name is Danger.
No, we talked about this last night. What is your actual middle name? Worry. Worry. It's worry.
It's anxiety.
Uh-huh. Yeah.
Paranoid. All of those. Those are all my middle names. Yeah. So New York City. Smell like Christmas in the subway.
Maybe. How much? It's got to take a lot of air freshener to make it smell not like hot oil, but they also probably picked Grand Central Station to Times Square because it's a big touristy stop. Yeah. And it's also, I bet it's a little cleaner than some of the places we, because we were in Jersey. So we were doing subways all over the place.
Yeah. They're not trying to make those subways smell good.
They want to make a good impression on the tourists. The real get around subway. We're on the real one. We're on the one where they only have certain lines open at midnight. Like we were on the subway. Yeah. Not like, oh, let's go check out the subway. We were on it.
Oh, I know, Josh. There was some sketch people on those subways we were writing. That is true. I don't know if you remember some of them.
I remember some of them. They haunt me. Do they? Yeah. Oh, because of worry. Danger. Okay. All right.
You know how I know my daughter is the best? And she knows me. And we, she and I are essentially the same person because I had to pick her up from school the other day.
Right. And I dropped her off at home and then I had to go back to work. And I had to run in.
I ran in really quick to grab something. And then as I'm leaving, I go, okay, see you soon. Love you. Bye. And she goes, do you want to snack on your drive back to work? And I went, absolutely I do. Because I had been thinking of that very same thing. We bought these, they're edible cookie doughs. Yeah.
Oh man. You guys have been loving those things. They're so good. So is the deal they don't have raw egg in them? They don't have egg in them. Yeah. But they taste. So you can eat them uncooked. But you could also cook them into a cookie? Yep. How about that?
But who wants a cookie when you can have cookie dough?
I don't really like the raw cookie dough. And you know this about me. But like even like the cookie dough ice cream, I don't care for it.
Oh man. I love cookie dough. I love a cookie.
I don't like the cookie dough.
I love the cookie dough. No, I heard about it. I'll take a cookie.
But I would rather have the dough. I would rather have cookies crumbled in it. Specifically. Interesting. Biscoff cookies. You just like Biscoff. I really do. I really do.
What's funny is that on my way out the door I was like, I should grab one of those because they come in little cups. Yeah. And I go, that would fit perfect in my little cup holder. I could grab one of those, snack on it on my way back to work.
What a nice little afternoon treat. So is that what you did? I went, no, don't do that. And then Emory said, hey, hey, do you want a treat? And I went, yes I do.
Didn't take much convincing. It did not. It just took someone saying the word treat. You're just like the dog. Yeah. You just say treat and she's like, what's up? Yeah, what? Who's who's who's got a snack? The three of you are snack animals.
I know. That's true. Yes, that's true. I love snacks. Oh, I know. And treats. Yeah. That's the key to my heart.
So does our daughter and so does the dog. You three are the same.
In some regards, different in others.
Let's name other similarities.
Let's name differences. I go to the bathroom inside. Okay.
Fine. You feed yourself. True. But you also like a meal. Who doesn't like a meal? Everybody likes a meal. I'm just saying these are comparisons.
But that's not an anomaly. Everyone loves meals.
Everyone. Let's have a meal. I prefer snacks though.
I know. You're kind of the grazing type. I am for sure. That's why you like love a charcuterie. Yeah. Who doesn't? Because you can just snack on.
Yeah. Because sometimes when you're eating dinner or lunch, you're like, this is the same. I have to just keep eating the same bite over and over.
Yeah. And then every time you grab the charcuterie, who shows up? Our daughter and the dog. The three of you love a charcuterie.
The three of us just love snacks. That's what I'm saying. Every time I get a bag of like, nutter butters.
Yeah. It comes. When do you have a bag of nutter butters? Sometimes. Zero times.
I don't know why that's the, that's the snack.
I've never seen you with nutter butters.
We have like a basket of snacks.
Oh, are you talking about the jar with the like, rits with the peanut butter or the cheese in them? Is that what you're talking about? Is that what you call a nutter butter?
No, no, no. There was like a box of like, random they had those cheez-its and then they had the nutter butters and I bought those. But our daughter doesn't like the nutter butters.
I don't like any of them. Briefly, I was just thinking of the snacks that we had currently and I went, oh, we got a lot of nutter butters. Yeah, not my thing. So that's the one I went with. You don't like nutter butters? They're so good. Yeah, nah. Oh man.
I'll take a biscoff over a nutter butter any day.
You get set on one snack and you're like, this is my eternal snack.
Have you had biscoff? It's so good.
Yeah, it's good. It's not my favorite. It's so good. I saw a biscoff cheesecake, Josh. Where? I can't say.
Somewhere I can buy or, oh, come on now. Where? Don't hold back. Where is it? At the store?
Yeah, no, it's at a restaurant.
Do we have here? Yes. No way.
So I looked on their website because I was going to order some rolls from them for Thanksgiving. No way. Yeah, way. And I went, I was looking at their pies because they also offer pies and there's a biscoff cheesecake.
I need that in my mouth.
You want me to get it for Thanksgiving? Yes. Okay. Settle down. Who's the snack king now? Sounds like you.
Snack king call they call me. That's a Christmas joke. Let me get in the spirit 20 minutes away. All right, we are now there. We're now official. We've played our very first full on Christmas song.
We're there. Do you, who do you consider the king of Christmas?
Do you, like, as far as Christmas music? Yeah, yeah, yeah, sorry. So I mean, you've got to have like that king call, right?
You got snack king call, but some people would say being Crosby. Sure, Bing's big. Some people would say Elvis. Yeah.
Some people would say.
I just am curious why you picked snack king call as like the kickoff song.
That's just so good.
It's so good. I would have picked that same one. Yeah.
It's a good song. We've got like a lot of it. So there's a lot to get to, which is good. So anyway, we are here now in the Christmas music, in the Christmas spirit, full on 24 seven, all the way through Christmas day, which is, which is really exciting.
So, yeah, I don't know what else to say about it. You can stream it online. We've got our website, of course. You've also got the free app.
So you can take it everywhere you go, no matter where you are, how running around, hustling and bustling, as they say, getting ready for Thanksgiving, whatever it is you've got going on, free app, you can take it everywhere you go. I would also remind you, we have 97 angels going on as well with Mullen Ellie's jewelers and the Salvation Army. So if you get into the spirit and you want to do a little extra giving, make sure you pick up an angel tag and help a child in need this holiday season.
That's a big deal. And you can get all the information in the Classy 97 app while you're listening to your Christmas music. You just tap the 97 angels link and boom.
Boop, bada-bing, bada-boom. You're good to go. So that's exciting. What else is going on? Oh. Oh, I know something. What? I'm just going to put this out there because I can. And it'll be unveiled really full on tomorrow. But Jingle Bingo's back. Oh, that's right.
So, full details about Jingle Bingo will be unveiled tomorrow. But make sure you have that. Yeah, yeah. That's when we'll actually start talking about it because I need the rest of today to get everything ready. So if you are looking forward to playing Jingle Bingo with us, make sure you're ready to grab your Bingo card starting tomorrow. And that will be in the Classy 97 app as well. So today your job is to get your jobber.
Yeah, which is the Classy 97 app. You're going to need that so that you can get your card so that then you can cross them off. Yeah, you need a dober. That's true. Or a pen or a highlighter or however you play. Oh, get
yourself a dober. Get yourself a Bingo dober to go sploosh. Okay. That works. Yeah, you need a dober. Get out of here. You don't play Bingo without a dober. Okay. I'm going to get myself a dober. Are you? Yeah. All right. I don't even get to win, but I'm going to play with my Bingo dober. Okay.
I look forward to seeing it. What are you going to get? Are you going to get a real one? Yeah. Okay. All right. I didn't know if you were going to makeshift something.
No. I got to find a real one. The real one. Where do we find bingo doppers?
I don't know. But you could also get like a stamp ink pad and like a little wreath stamp and you could go boop. That's a wreath.
Yeah, you could do that, I suppose.
If that's what you want to do. I mean, that's not what you want to do. You play how you want to play. So long as you abide by the rules of the game. But more details on jingle bingo returning will kick off tomorrow on your Saturday. So make sure you get the app. Get the Classy 97 app. Get ready.
All the details will be in the description. We'll be rolling out there real soon. All right, let's talk about the show last night. Trans-Hiberian Orchestra. Oh, TSO?
TSO is the Cool Kids Column. Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah. What a show. What a show. I felt like it was three shows. I agreed.
Yeah. Cause there was the beginning part, which had the whole story and had, you know, all of that stuff going on was very, you know, romantic, I would say. Very rockin', was very cool. And then Al Petrelli, who's one of the co-founders who I got to talk to before the show when we first announced that we were going to be presenting the show and all that stuff. He goes on, does a little talky bit, introduces some of the people in the band, some of the singers and stuff. And then he says, all right, you guys ready to blow some stuff up? Let's go. And I went, okay. And a whole different show started. That was something else.
I feel like the lights in the fire were a show just in and of themselves.
Yeah. Unreal. Lasers, fire, fog, whatever those hangy, icicle ones were. You really like those.
I love those. I want those in my house. Do you want them to move like that? Yes. I don't know where we'd put that. Everywhere.
I bet that only costs like a hundred dollars.
My favorite part was that there was a whole lot of, hey, yeah. Yeah. Oh, hey, yeah. No, like from the audience, not even from the stage.
Oh, I see. I see. There was a lot of people feeling the show and then there was a lot of, yeah.
Okay. I loved that. I loved that everyone was just rocking.
Yeah, it was very immersive. It was really cool.
I love live shows because it's just such a shared experience and you're all there. You all are fans. Yeah. Everyone was love. Everyone was just loving that show.
How'd you feel about going on stage? Let's talk a little bit about that because I know you were a little bit nervous about it. First of all, and I'm going to tell you, if you haven't stood next to a stage or on a stage, it's bigger and also smaller than you expect. Yeah. The steps were super tall because we didn't realize we were stepping on risers like that, like the big scissor lift risers. Uh-huh.
Well, they told us, first of all, when you go up on the steps, don't walk straight because if you do, you will fall into a pit. Yeah. And so then that's all I could think about was like, oh, don't fall into the pit. Yeah. So I was worried about tripping on the big steps. I didn't, thankfully. No, you did great. I stood there. Yeah.
You did all of that. Well, so that was, I don't know what we had in our heads that was going to happen, but, you know, for a minute there, I thought we were going to both be able to talk and have a little bit of banter back and forth or something as we talk to the crowd and get everybody excited. And then quickly it was like, well, you're going to have one microphone. And it was like, oh, well, that sort of changes the whole thing.
And they wanted it quick. In and out as quick as possible. That's fine.
No, I think it went well. I hope I got all the words out that I wanted to and needed to.
You did. And Misty and Deborah from the Ronald McDonald House Charities were awesome. Yeah.
Great, great charity to partner with. I'm so excited. We got to help them out a little bit. And to everybody who bought tickets, thank you, because a dollar from every ticket went to help out Ronald McDonald House Charities of Idaho and the family room at Irmax. So that's really super cool.
It's awesome. And it was fun to be up there and see a bunch of faces. You couldn't really make out a lot of details. So if you were waving at us, we couldn't see. It's not personal. There was a lot of faces.
And you get blinded when you're up there because you're like, I can't look at it. No, it's not even that. You're just like, my brain isn't focused on anything. I'm just trying to get off the stage as quick as possible. You know how I know I'm old? How do you know you're old? Is when I got to the venue, I went, oh, I forgot my earplugs.
I was actually as much of a rock show as it was. The volume was totally acceptable. Like it wasn't crazy. I thought the same thing. I did love feeling the bass from the drum solo. However, I was like, this is cool.
That was cool. And then you could feel the fire.
Yeah, you could feel the heat. That show was amazing. Drones, were you expecting drones? No. That was a very cool thing. I had seen a clip from Angus from the night before when they were in Salt Lake City. And then last night they were here. And then tonight they're in Spokane, right? Yes. So what a trip.
Like they got to go boom, boom, boom, boom. The Salt Lake to Idol Falls Drive, not bad. But the Idol Falls to Spokane is what, at least three times as long.
Yeah, it's close to three times as long. But that's the tour life. That's life on the roof. But I had seen a clip that Angus, who was the guitarist with the long blonde hair, he had posted from the show at the Delta Center and he, I had seen those drones and I was like, this is really cool. I hope they do that at our show. And they did. It was very cool.
It was cool. How much liability insurance do you think they need to do pyro, all that pyro and all this fireworks? Two bucks. I can't even imagine. I think so.
I think you're right. Yeah. I think you're almost okay. The big finale was really cool. What a great show. And I'm sure they'll be back. They've got to come back. Oh, they have to come back. That was a sold out show. Yeah, it was packed.
So anyway, If you missed it, I'm sorry.
They're tonight in Spokane. You can make the drive. You still have time. It was rocking. It was very much. I was just learning about a pro social behavior study. What's that mean? Yeah, I don't really know, but what they had done, I have the hiccups.
That's new. What they had done was conducted a bunch of observations on a public transport. I think they did this on a subway and probably in like New York or something. And what they did was they had a pregnant woman and go onto the subway and see who would offer her a seat. And they had observers throughout the subway car that were taking notes and saying like, oh, that guy moved. This person did this, whatever.
So they collected all this data in a control environment by saying, we're going to send in this pregnant woman and see who offers her a seat. Okay. Okay. So that's the pro social behavior. Okay. So then they said, what happens if we have someone dressed like Batman on the train?
Will more people let her sit down? The results are astounding. Are you kidding? Absolutely. And crazy. Absolutely incredible.
Absolutely. I'm trying to say. In crazy. So they conducted 138 observation sessions, 70 control, 68 experimental. So 70 without Batman, 68 with Batman. Here's what they found out.
Passengers would move in the control without Batman 37% of the time. It's not very much. No. In the presence of Batman, 67%. Are you serious? Yeah. So it went from one, about a little more than a third of people to over two thirds of people.
Same is. Yeah. When people have, they, when people know that someone is watching them, they're more inclined to do a good deed. Yeah.
Do you know what that's called? What it's called to do the right thing even when no one's looking? Integrity. That's what that's called. That's really interesting. That's really interesting behavior. And that was the only thing that changed. Now, obviously they're not going to have the exact same people. Right. In the control experiment as they do in the, in the Batman experiment. Right. But, but what an interesting study.
I wonder, they need to do an experiment now where they get a villain. Oh, interesting. And see if there's somebody dressed up as the Joker or.
That's an interesting thing.
I'm trying to think of another villain. Thanos? No, that'd be weird.
He's a villain. He is. Yeah. Hmm.
But it also, I mean, it wasn't even like, like a, like a legit looking Batman. Like it was a guy in a Batman costume, clearly in a Batman costume, but people moved more often. Like more, like twice as much. So interesting.
Anyway, the things you find out, I guess. So that song right there is called Christmas magic. It's from Lofi. And let me tell you about her.
So that song came out last year in that movie, uh, red one that we went and saw, which was a cool, cool movie. She is from Iceland. And she is like tearing it up. She's got a new song that they're playing on Z103 just down the hall. And she has put out several Christmas songs and what a cool sound.
So like old school traditional, but it's brand new. And she's super young too. She is 26 and she is tearing it up right now. And she, we told, uh, Beck about her and he's like, Oh, so she's like a modern day Bjork yet, but not weird. So not weird at all. Uh, but she, her name is Lofi. Uh, and what a cool song. So that's a new one for this year on classy 97 for your Christmas.
I like a lot of people are like, no, just stick with the classics. And I'm kind of that same person too. But I like mixing in the classics with new stuff. Yeah.
I do too. And that's a lot of our playlist has got, we've got a lot of modern stuff. We've got, obviously we've got all the classics. Matter of fact, like Dean Martin's coming up, like all the stuff you expect to see is in our playlist, but we did throw in some really fun new stuff that maybe you haven't like fully heard yet.
Like that one. It's so good. Christmas magic is the name of the song. So anyway, look for those in the playlist all now through Christmas day. It's 24 seven Christmas on the Christmas music channel. That's us. That is us. Yeah. It's classy 97.
So tomorrow, if you're looking for something to do, they are doing the tree lighting and holiday market in Idaho Falls. This will go from four to eight. So the heart, the holiday market is going four to eight on Memorial Drive.
So it's like a farmer's market, but holiday. Perfect. And then they've got horse drawn trolley rides from three to five and those will load at Civitan Plaza. Okay. That's where they typically load. And those run through the season too.
Yes, they do. And then the tree lighting and Santa
will be six to seven at Broadway Plaza. Six, seven.
Six, seven. It's gonna be six to seven. Yes. Yes, it is. It's so funny.
No one gets it. Okay. No one knows what it means. It's just some dudes height.
So yeah, if you are feeling a little scroogey.
Oh, okay. This is a good way to get the screw down to the holiday market.
Yeah. Maybe just let the, let the scrunch blow off.
I'm going to bet you that you're going to be able to find a piece of peppermint bark, maybe a little hot cocoa. Yes. Yeah. You're going to find a little merriment and some Christmas lights. That'll be fun. And some joy. Yeah. Good way to kick off the holiday season.
Excuse me. I'm looking for the merriment.
Yeah. I'm here for all of the joy. Where can I find a big bucket of joy? I need some merriment. Yeah. Cool. So that's happening four o'clock to eight tomorrow in downtown Idaho Falls. Correct. All right. Enjoy it. All right. That's a new one too. Just in case you didn't know.
You better watch out now. Yeah. Better watch out now. All right. What's up? Do you have bad breath or do you know someone who suffers with bad breath? Okay.
Look, I know there have been times where I've had troublesome halitosis. Everyone does. And sometimes it's after I eat a particular meal.
Yeah. Everyone has certain things to say. Sometimes it's like, oh, I forgot that I needed to brush my teeth as I was rushing out the door. That doesn't happen all often, but sometimes it happens.
Do you nasty. But listen, settle down. Sometimes I'm hanging out with people and I go like, you're talking too close.
Can you just, I'm going to turn my head this way because I just, it's doing that creepy crawly smoke thing and hitting my little nose and I don't care for it. And I go like, I'm just going to take a step back because it's a little much right now. There have been times where I've been in those situations and I don't know how to handle it. I don't, I don't know how to handle that either. I don't know how you like nicely and politely say to somebody, or have you ever like, try to offer them, oh, do you want to mint? And they go, oh, no, thank you.
No, I'm not sure. I should have.
No, really? Yeah. I know you don't like them, but maybe you'd like this one. So a study found that, uh, okay. So researchers reviewed, they reviewed five different like mouth washes to determine which one would work the best. Sure. And there was a garlic extract. Oh, wow. That performed very well.
So they're saying using garlic to make your breath smell better work better
because it reduced your salivary bacteria more effectively than the other antiseptics. Isn't that interesting? Isn't that something?
Yeah. Because that's essentially what's going on with the alcohol in there is you're swishing it around. It's killing off some bacteria, but it's also as soon as you spit it out, it dries you out so that the bacteria, because alcohol evaporates very quickly. And so it dries out your mouth.
And then the bacteria is like, I don't have anywhere to go. I liked it when it was warm. But anyway, that's, that's fun. Isn't that fun? Yeah. I'm not going to do that because then your breath's going to smell like garlic.
No, because it's, it's not necessarily garlic. It's just garlic extract.
You don't think garlic, what does vanilla extract taste like? What does almond extract taste like? Tell me garlic extract doesn't taste like garlic. Come on.
I'm just saying, maybe let's try it. Maybe let's give it a, let's give it a.
I don't think you can just go buy it.
No, I don't think you can either.
You probably have to squeeze a lot of garlic to get that extract out. I don't know where you'll find it. Is it the stuff like, you know, when you buy that, buy that jar of pre-minced garlic, is that juice, is that it? I don't think so.
I don't think that's it. No, it might be. Could be. I mean, give it a shot.
Let's find out. Swoosh some of that around. Garlic. Six in the morning. Yeah. No, thank you. Would you rather this or that?
Would you rather your microphone turn into every word you say, turn into auto-tuned gobbles?
Oh, okay. So it sounds like a tea pane.
Like a turkey. Oh, gobbled.
Okay, got you. Or every sound effects be replaced with screaming yams. What? I'll take gobbles, I guess. Auto-tuned gobbles.
Why do they have to be auto-tuned is my question.
Why are the yams screaming?
Because they're so delicious.
I'll tell you why. Why? Because they're diabetic and you covered them with marshmallows. That's why. Oh, no.
Yeah, that's it. It's gotta be it. I don't know. What are you picking? I don't know. I'll do the gobbles too.
Yeah, I don't know. That's one of the weirder ones you've ever asked. I know. They're getting strange.
I know. Okay.
I know. It's because I asked AI. Oh, you did? Yeah. AI gave me some weird ones. Yeah, let's get away from that. All right. Maybe put in there the next time you have AI do it. Maybe put in there like, don't be weird.
Give me some normal ones.
Yeah, just give me normal ones.
Just quit being weird. Yeah. AI, quit being so weird.
All right, we're getting ready to wrap up the show for today. We're getting ready to head out for the weekend, which is exciting. It's Wicked weekend.
It is. We are going to see Wicked with our friends. Yeah. In Salt Lake at the IMAX. I know. I'm very excited to see you. I am too, but I've heard such bad reviews.
No, you haven't. Okay. You haven't heard from a single person that you trust about it. That's true. You're right. All you've heard is rotten tomatoes was concerned because it was long. So what? Yeah, so what indeed. That's great. All right. So I'm going to go sit there while you watch your boyfriend on the TV.
Oh, Jonathan Bailey. Here we go. You know, he spent some time with Elmo this week.
Oh, did he? Mm-hmm. Well, that's fun. I know. Oh, he's so nice. Anyway, so I'm going to go hang out with you while you watch Jonathan Bailey on IMAX. Fiello! And what else? It's now Christmas here at Classy 97. So enjoy our playlist.
