Walking Through Yemot HaMashiach with Rav Shlomo Katz

We daven for Mashiach every day. We say the words. We hope it's near.

But what are we actually waiting for? What will change in the days of Mashiach and what will stay exactly the same? What does life look like in a world filled with emunah, clarity, and Geulah?

This shiur explores the teachings of Chazal, Rambam, and classic Torah sources on Yemot HaMashiach. We explore how this is not a new reality, but the world we know, restored to what it was always meant to be.. A world where Hashem’s truth is visible, where mitzvot feel natural, and where we finally see how much distortion we’ve learned to tolerate.

It’s a perspective that will change how you understand redemption, faith, and your role in bringing light into a broken world.

What is Walking Through Yemot HaMashiach with Rav Shlomo Katz?

Walking Through Yemot HaMashiach with Rav Shlomo Katz is a deep dive into the teachings of Rabbi Menachem Brod’s classic work Yemot HaMashiach — exploring what our sages and mystics revealed about the era of redemption.

In each episode, Rav Shlomo guides us through the Torah’s vision of the world that is coming: the nature of Geula, the spiritual evolution of humanity, and the signs that prepare us for the revelation of Mashiach. With warmth, clarity, and heartfelt yearning, these teachings remind us that redemption is not only a promise of the future — it’s a reality unfolding in our days.

Okay, good morning everybody. We're learning this month of אייר sponsored by the Silvers, לעילוי נשמת בתיה פייגא בת ישראל, by the Aron family, לעילוי נשמת לוי בן יוסף, by the Postins, לעילוי נשמת פרידא שיינא בת יצחק, by the Kron family in memory of נחמן שלום בן יצחק אריה, and by יעל ואבי מילר in honor of Sam completing the cycle of learning the entire תורה. And the week, this week is sponsored today's, today is May 18th, right? There's a sponsored, I just want to make sure I have the right.

She is sponsored by, uh, this week is sponsored by Avraham's grandparents and relatives who all perished in Auschwitz on Yes. Today is, oh, today is שלושים. Wow. Yeah, what's what, what's what was the name?

You know, it's interesting, in the תורה, the only מקור we have for אבלות is שלושים. And we have that from אהרן הכהן because it says about אהרן הכהן when he died in פרשת חקת, ויבכו את אהרן שלושים יום כל בית ישראל, that everyone, that's שלושים is מדאורייתא, actually from the תורה. The other things that we have are things that we kind of picked up on and added, but שלושים is a very big עניין, so you should have תנחומים, you should have נחמה, and בעזרת השם, הקיצו ורננו שכני עפר, there should be תחיית המתים.I saw on שבת, I saw a ליקוטי תורה that said that um, uh, שמעון, שמעון בר יוחאי, everyone knows שמעון בר יוחאי is the same גמטריא as נחמן בן שמחה, the same, actually רבי נחמן name.

But what the צדיק said is that שמעון בר יוחאי is, is uh, is גמטריא מחיה מתים.But one, so one of the, one of the students is sitting there, he's like, you ever been, you ever, you ever be to a שיעור where they say גמטריא and in your head you're saying, you're checking to see if it was right? So one student was sitting there and he was checking to see באמת, is it really like that? And it's, and it showed there that, um, he, that the גמטריא is off by one, that there's one extra number by שמעון בר יוחאי. So the רבי looks at him and he says, come on, you don't remember that in the גמרא, whenever שמעון בר יוחאי name is mentioned, it's, it's without an אלף, יוד ואו חית יוד. So it works. So it works. All right, we have a שיעור that I, I think like if people really, what can I tell you? If people really understood where things were at, there'd be like 50,000 people at this שיעור today.

Because what's left, right? And the שיעור, and the שיעור like that like I, like I sent out is like what, what is actually going to be, like what's going to change? What's not going to change? What is this thing we're דאווענען for? What is life going to look like? We, we, we've had so many שיעורים about the process of how it happens. But here we're speaking לאו דווקא, like trying to understand what is actually going to be different? What is life going to look like? What is this that I'm דאווענען for? What am I דאווענען for? It's probably a good thing. If you knew what you were דאווענען for, דאווענען would probably be a שטיקל different, no? If you actually knew what you were דאווענען for.So, this is what we're going to be addressing today. If you have the ספר, it's on page 205.

Here are our, our handouts over here. And we're going to jump right into it. We have a lot to cover and I think it's really, hopefully eye opening, heart opening, דאווענען opening, רצון opening, all, all of the above.I just want to thank השם, there's no, no, I can't think of a more שייך way to start off my week. Tell you that.

Just, just learning about משיח. I just can't figure out a better way how to, how to begin another, another, another march, another journey, another week of עבודה, another week of being a Jew, another week of being human. So this is פרק עשירי, the 10th chapter. The question is what will be when משיח comes. What's going, what's going to change? What's going to change? So רב ברוד asks like this, מה בעצם יקרה בימות המשיח? What's our lifestyle going to be like?

The questions many people are showing a lot of interest in when they hear that משיח is about to come. It's a very, it's a, it's a tremendous, it'll be a tremendous change in the world and the way the world runs. Naturally, what do we usually have the most, I would say we turn off a certain button towards? The unknown.

The unknown scares us. That's nature. I always share with you that my, my family that didn't, that never left Buenos Aires, which I don't understand why they never, אני באמת I don't understand why they never ended up leaving Buenos Aires. Life in Argentina, the Jewish life in Argentina was, was really horrible.

40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, it never, it never changed. But people that ran away from Auschwitz would rather sit in something that they at least know more or less what it is than, than face the unknown as they already had gone through in life. So, quite often, a lot of times we don't go and approach this next, this next station in life that is an unknown because naturally, we, we, we are filled with an uncomfortable place. Put it like that.

It's an uncomfortable place. And that's something in our טבע. When something's unknown to us, we don't go there. So ימות המשיח, as much as we could learn about it, it's still a place that seems to be unknown. We're trying to make it as least unknown as possible through all these classes.

Like we're trying to provide for ourselves some type of a picture that as close as it, we're doing the best that we can, but to remove the unknown status as much as possible from the, from the situation. In the next paragraph. Today's reality, the good and the bad, we know it. We know we may have to run to the bomb shelter right now.

We know that that may be a possibility, right? Strange. That became our טבע now. It's wacky. We spoke about it over שבת a little bit.

We've become accustomed to whatever the, whatever has become the natural order of life. We've learned how to deal with it.

Which is exactly where we're at now. It could very well be that we've actually subconsciously become okay with, with deficiencies that are really demented and wrong. But since it's become known to us, like it's become the way the things are, השלמנו איתה. Adapted.

And השלמנו means like, okay, this is how it's going to be. This is how it's going to be.ביאת המשיח היא מציאות חדשה, the coming of משיח is a completely new reality, שעדיין איננה מוכרת לנו, וגם איננו יודעים בדיוק מה יהיה אחריה. Which is still unknown to us. We also don't know exactly what things are going to look like right afterwards.

So therefore, it could be that there are those that are חרד, that are scared of what, what this exchange looks like, feels like, and what it's going to be like.So I love the subtopic of the next paragraph. First of all, you should all know, Right?

You know. בראש ובראשונה, in the beginning, it's important to emphasize that משיח יביא עמו אך טוב ושמחה ואושר לכל אחד מאיתנו. משיח is going to bring goodness, happiness, an inner joy to each and every one of us. השינויים שיהיו, there will be changes, but all the changes, יהיו רק לטובה.

They will only be for good. It'll be a benefit to any change that happens will be a, will be beneficial to every single person in the world. Every single person in the world.

Whoever has it bad today, it'll be, life will be good for him or her. And whoever it's good for them now, you think this is good? You think you're enjoying life right now? It'll be even better.

And this is something that we learned many months ago. And this is, I just want to pause on this for a second. This is very, very important. When I ask you, what does it feel like to be קרוב להשם? You need a lot of אמונה to say it feels good and to remember what that feels like.

You have to activate a lot of different things inside of you to, to bring up the belief that closeness to God is something that is tangible, that feels good. One of the things we learned about משיח is going to be our רבי, a big רבי. You know, if a רבי today is able to bring you to a place of closeness to your soul, to השם, now, do that on steroids when it comes to משיח, in the most natural, healthiest way. You have to, like whatever good you feel today from a good דאווענען, from a moment you have with your child going over the פרשה, as beautiful as that is, or looking at your children at a certain point and feeling good about and and feeling the closeness to השם. When משיח comes, all of that will be accelerated on levels that we, we can't imagine, can't fathom, but that's the direction.

That's the שינוי that we're, that we're heading towards. This is going to happen. If you know, if you're familiar with רב קוק language, פרט וכלל, he speaks about this a lot. Individual and communal, it'll happen on an, on an individual level, but in a personal, intimate relationship with השם, there'll be a sense of, oh my God, this is so, this is just so much better and closer than I could have ever imagined.

And so too, this will also happen on a כלל level, generally speaking on the כלל.ימות המשיח, the days of משיח, במובנם הפשוט והבסיסי, in the most basic way of understanding them, הם המצב האידיאלי של העולם. Do you know what that word means in Hebrew? It'll be the more, most idealistic way of the world. Where good and truth will govern over the world that we're living in.

That's the world of משיח. Not this complete, כמעט ההפך of what we see today, and what we're experiencing today in the world. But he says, שלא כעולם של ימינו, not like today's world, שבו אין האמת גלויה, where truth is not revealed, הרע גובר על הטוב.

Let's admit it. Today, there's evil that conquers good. We see this all over the world. It's amazing how we're, you know, and it's not our fault that we're stuck in our horrific situation that we're in right now for a long, long time. But as we're speaking right now, do you know how many thousands and thousands of Christians are being persecuted right now in many different African countries? Do you know how many mass murderers are taking place by brothers and sisters from other, other religions where it's, well it's perhaps because יהודים are doing their thing so it gets ignored from the world.

But there's a מציאות of רע, שולט על הטוב in many different areas in the world. And that's all going to be להתהפך. That'll all be switched over.Yes, Mindy. Sorry, but that's the catch.

In other words, that's, that's exactly the, the um, the place of the unknown. In other words, if, if, if any one of us can think of the person who we most disagree with in the world, and we're both going to feel the same thing, that's the unknown because how is that possible? And yet. It's going to happen. And yet.

So we're recognizing we're going to feel similar but we're not going to act similar, right? We're not all going to be following one path.I think he's going to touch upon exactly what you just said right now. Yeah. Which is an important distinction because I think that part of the fear of the unknown is that, exactly, exactly, exactly. Which is, which is so unnatural and everything he's speaking about is that the world of משיח is actually the most natural.

It's the most natural lifestyle you could think of. Most natural. Now if I ask you the following question, when do you feel most natural in your life? When do you feel like you're the most yourself? When you're alone? No, with my kids. Could be. With your kids.

The most natural self. Like when do you feel that appears? You know, think about it. And then you'll probably get a bit, a bit, a bit of a taste of what we're, of what's, what's to come. When was this, is this a recent book or is this like he wrote this 100 years ago and it's still relevant? No, not 100 years ago. So even 20 years ago.

I think this was 20 years ago. Yeah. So how has the world not changed? It’s still like, it’s on the dot. This is um, this is printed in 2013, but I, I think that the, the original edition was uh, I was thinking that people who like have been looking forward to this for a thousand years, 200 years, 20 years.

I really don't want to be a Debbie Downer so early in the morning. It was a באסה. It's like, you're, you're saying things that don't seem real that they could actually happen. And we're supposed to hope and believe in them.

And then there are all those people that do believe in them and they say, well, it's going to happen tomorrow and then it doesn't.Yeah. And therefore? Gets harder and harder to be hopeful and really truly believe. For sure.

And yet. Remember what you were like before you found your soulmate? Okay. Same. And now today? So, you have an הדגמה of it in your personal life.

Now it's time to implement this in the כלל. We want the whole world to find their soulmate. It's a big, it's a tall order. It's a big deal.

It's not just one person, it's the whole world finding their soulmate. So it takes a bit more than just what it was on, on, on our own. But remember when we learn about this, הרבי promised us, we're bringing it closer. The more we learn about it, the more we get ourselves in tune with how the רמב"ם and the other צדיקים have, have paved the way for us.Okay, back inside.

I'm going to read the second paragraph again.

You know what משובש means? Messed up. That fuzzy, messed up. Things are, things are messed up. I wrote this for you, Daniela,

אלא שהוא משרה תחושה, but, but what's so interesting here is that it brings, it kind of brings over this general sense that, כך היה וכך יהיה ולא יתכן אחרת. It is what it is. It's not what it's not. Take it or leave it.

But גוואלד, could, could, could it be different.ברגע שבו תתגלה בעולם האמת האלוקית, the moment that the, that the godly truth will be revealed in the world, יתהפך העולם בן רגע, the world will flip over in a second, ויחזור להיות עולם נכון ומתוקן, and will go back to being a right and just world. But what is it dependent on? The revelation of, what did he say over here? גילוי,, a revelation of האמת האלוקית, of the godly truth.Which is why הרבי was so insistent on each person playing a role in the revelation of the godly truth. Now where does it start? Start by, it starts by Jews keeping תורה ומצוות, being בשמחה about it.

That's a godly truth, to be בשמחה over your godly service. Starts with the seven מצוות בני נח laws for the non-Jewish people of the world, which is exactly what they took on as well, השלוחים of the world. So that's why הרבי was simply trying to bring out the, and he still is. His נשמה is still פועל in all of השלוחים to reveal the godly truth of the world.

Because once that happens, there's no counter. It's the most potent force in the world. What are you going to bring me against that, right? So he's going to bring a משל now.

Wow. I'm getting the, the chills over here and I'll tell you why in a second. I'm just going to translate this first. He says, you want to take what this world looks like with the parable of what this world looks like? To, like today, it looks like, it's like people that live in a completely dark world.

And over the years, they developed different techniques in order to help them make it through the darkness. Whether it's like, what does he say over here? מקלות הליכה, like walking sticks or ropes or different סימנים. You know what the equivalent of that has was for many years? Iron Dome.

Iron Dome. Iron Dome is one of the trickiest things of our generation. Because if I, listen, if I just walked into a room, but we didn't talk פנימי at all, we just spoke, looked at the world at face value.

And I said, tell me something. Iron Dome, blessing or curse? Everyone would, even right now we would say blessing, no? Why not? Right? But is it a curse? Why is it a curse? So which one is it? השם created it. השם created it, so therefore it must be good, right? It's a very, it's a very tricky thing. I don't want to, honestly, it's not, it's not a סוגיא I feel too comfortable going into because most of us are not decision makers as far as I know.

So we don't make the decisions, you know, to actually, you know, to, to, to wipe off, off the face of this earth, this fake people that don't exist that are causing us so much trouble and killing us for so long. So I'm sitting in my room and, and what, what could I do? Right? What could I tell my child in the moment of such insanity? So I could tell my child, listen, there is this thing called Iron Dome, there is the חץ, there are these things, and right now that's the way השם chose to help protect us. That's also אמת, but it's not אמת לאמיתה. The truth of the truth is that it's basically a, um, a crutch.

It's, it's, it's really something that has actually kept us way back and has not helped us advance at all towards the goal of the revelation of Godly truth at all because we've learned to just deal with it. I mean, I will, I'll, I'll go in like even a more, this is going to be, it's going to touch upon a little bit, but I'm even going to go in a more direct and personal feeling right now. Imagine if there was an intruder to your house that kept on coming into your house. And you just, for some reason you knew the neighbors were looking at you and they, the neighbors had this judgment on you that if you throw this person out of the house, they'll start looking at you like you're no good, like you're not moral or whatever.

Meanwhile, while the person's in your house, they're hitting your children, they're even, God forbid, sexually assaulting you. What's the technique you've come up with? Cameras and stuff. Cameras, you tell them this is actually being מתועד. Or, or other techniques that don't uproot in the source what it is, right? So it's so bizarre. What's that? The camera stopped.

Ah, so just, you can just, you can just actually, could you lower it because I, I can't stand how this is blocking everything. Miriam, you just want to, you can just give it to me. Yeah. Yeah.

So you see, this is a very, this is a very strange thing. It's very strange how all these things we've become, we don't even realize but that's what it's like. That's actually what it's like, but we've, we, we've actually accepted. So we've, this is what he's saying, this is what this world is like.

So people, people think I could never live without all these techniques that I put together, right? Without it, how could I get around? How could I see anything? אבל האמת היא, but the truth is, שברגע שיפתח להם צוהר אל האור, But the truth is the moment that there's a window, צוהר אל האור there's a window that starts bringing in real light. So he says, כהרף עין with a blink of an eye, ישליכו את כל עזרי החושך, we'll get rid of all of our techniques, ויבינו שאין לו צורך בהם. And we'll see we don't need this anymore. How could we have been living like this right now in such darkness? You know, that'll be the awakening when people, יהודים start to say, how could it be that we've lived, that we allow ourselves to live like this for so long? And we always think we have these moments already, right? Like if I told you that a 30-year-old woman, can you imagine, I want to tell you something insane that will for sure wake up the whole Jewish people, right? That a 30-year-old woman would be on her way to the delivery room and be gunned down in the streets of ארץ ישראל.

Right? And the baby would have an emergency C-section and then it would be in intensive care. What, what would you think would happen to the world then? You see how, you see how ludicrous it is? You see how crazy it is? Insane.

He says, once there'll be like a צוהר of, one day there'll be this window that opens that's been shut and some, and godly light, piercing, beautiful, majestic light will be coming in through the window. And then people will be like, how on earth did we agree to continue living the way we did for so long? How could it be?So he says over here that the moment that that, that that window opens up and the godly light starts coming through, at that moment, we will chuck all these Iron Domes and what they call בטונדות, which is like the blocking before a bus station where they, I don't know if they have it up anymore, but they used to have it up, or they do. Preventing car ramming. Prevent the car rammers.

Yeah. You see, because it tends to remove all these, but like for our kids until something changes. Like they're only up so we can survive the darkness. And?

Well, something's got to change. It's not that magically something's going to change. No.

All this darkness is just going to poof. יהודים realizing that certain things are unacceptable is not a magical thing. It's a very real thing. כיבוש, גירוש, התיישבות is not a magical thing.

That hasn't happened. Because somehow we're still okay with certain elements of, of חושך. There's a, do you think משיח is going to come if you don't really want it that bad? I don't know.

I think you kind of have to want it. You kind of have to want a different reality. I'm starting to call you דבורה when you start to talk like this.

No. דבורה לא, we're not going there. הם אף יתפלאו, and then we're going to be in a state of wonder. How could we have been living like this for so long? חיים מוגבלים, such a limited lifestyle, ומעוותים כל כך and so distorted.

And so distorted. Now what's amazing is that many of us actually feel that our lives really are not distorted and very much filled with good. And that's also true. But in comparison to the sense of living with אמת and light, it's nothing.

It's nothing. It's nothing. I've been thinking so hard in אייר and I'm thinking all of us בעלי תשובה Yeah. in the world who got a צוהר Yeah.

an opening of אור and thinking back. I had a secretary once that said, \"Oh, השם made שבת. I can't imagine life without שבת." My answer was, \"Been there, done that.\" Right? So that צוהר של אור and we're seeing more and more בעלי תשובה.

So what he says like here, you want to know what it's going to be like? He said, I'm going to tell you what it's going to be like. אף אנו כך, so too with us, ברגע שתבוא הגאולה, that moment that, that, that משיח comes, וכבוד השם יתגלה בעולם, and the, the honor of God is revealed in the world, יעלמו כל הלבטים והבעיות שמטרידים כיום את מנוחתנו. All those things that truly put a damper on our rest, on our inner sense of calm, all those things will be removed. He says, you're not, I could talk to you about it, but you're not going to understand it.

Just like you try to explain to people about love before they have a child. You could talk about love all day long. You could give all the examples and have all the books and poetry and poems and watch all the movies. But until you hold your child, you cannot understand what that word love really, truly means.

Love that you have for someone else. You could feel love from other people, you could. But to express the, so it's the same thing over here. Until you hold your first grandchild.

I'm waiting a bit more, a bit more. Although my daughter's pretty ready already, but she's, she's 15. But לאט לאט, right? So it's true. He says all of this will, all these, all these doubts of like, my מנוחה, what do I need to really feel relaxed? And people have all these ideas.

Like I told you once, right before our oldest was born, my wife and I went to, uh, and we were so בשמחה right before the first birth. It was like, oh my God, I can't. It was like, oh my God, I can't.everything that's happening. It was our first year of marriage.

We went to a spa, what's it called? Up in north כרמל. Yeah. And we were sitting in the lobby. It took a little bit of time for the room to be ready.

I think we were super excited. You don't have any kids, so you get there like, they say check-in's at 3:00 and you're like 12:30, you're checking by the counter to see if the room's ready. So we were there for a while early. And then we look and we said, let's observe all the people that are coming here right now, right? Each person looked more nervous than the next.

And then I looked at the looked at them at dinner, looked at them walking around. And it was almost like there was a meme that said, we are here relaxing right now. This is what we're doing. We are relaxing.

Don't bother me. I'm relaxing. כאילו זה לא היה בטבע, because they think this is what we do. So we also think, oh if we do that, that'll get us rel- So some of us are like, okay, we have to bring משיח because then I'll stop being so nervous.

That's not it's not how it works, but it will be this new this new reality. Now again, it doesn't mean that I start acting strange and weird and different. But it's that that thing especially in our times that every time we hear [siren sound] even for that second I just did right now. There's there's something going on over here.

Can you imagine a world without that? Can you imagine a world that your children don't know the sound of a siren? So he continues and he says like this here. You won't have to go to אמונה שיעורים. שכן ונגלה כבוד השם like ישעיה הנביא says, the כבוד השם is revealed in the whole world.

And it won't be difficult to learn, to keep All these things won't be things we struggle with. It won't be these won't be issues.

We all will be like, bring on more if this is the way to continue to manifest this light. Just like today, we are hungry for food and thirsty for water.

There next page, there won't be wars. שנאות וקנאות, hatred and jealousy.

You know why there won't be any jealousy, hatred or war? Because we will sense that you are part of me and I am part of you. That just won't be a nice כאילו politically correct thing or spiritually correct thing to say, it'll be the actual מציאות. That is actually what I will feel. Just like I feel right now if I stub this finger, I I'll feel it.

I'll feel it if you stub your finger. That that'll be that sense of camaraderie, ממש.וביחד, and since you're part of me and I'm part of you, וביחד אנו מהווים יחידה אחת שלמה ומאוחדת. And together we are encompassing one unit, one joint unit.

There won't be a need to fight evil, There won't be room for bad. Because good will conquer and govern alone with nothing else. That's what's waiting for us.

So why aren't we doing everything we can? Why aren't we doing everything we can to bring us to a state of living like this? How come there aren't 50,000 people at this שיעור? I'm not belittling, I'm very happy you're all here, trust me. Very שמחהדיק thing. I'm I'm not, God forbid, complaining, but I'm wondering like, then why is it that there aren't 50,000 women here right now?Let's say half of them have jobs. Let's say.

Many of you have jobs too. Why isn't it like this? Because of דבורל'ה. I'm kidding, I'm kidding, I'm kidding, I'm kidding. I'm kidding דניאלה.

I love that you're here. You know what I mean?I am the one who's going to argue. I'm the one who's going to question.I'll I'll let me explain to you why I think.

I also question everything by the way. It just before I come to שיעור. I go through much more questioning, trust me. Why is it? I'll explain to you why.Whether we want to admit it or not, we've already transferred into the into the time of פנימיות התורה.

The צדיקים won. It's not it wasn't even a battle.

It's just time. This is the time now of the paradigm shift of consciousness of what this world is going to be like. And the more that you get a taste of your own נשמה, the more that you can't stand living in a world that doesn't long for משיח. You can't...Does it make it harder then? No.

On the outside it makes it harder. On the inside it makes it you feel much more aligned with yourself. Much more...But the world...Yeah, because the world The world has the everything could be happening out there in the world.

ממש like we see the הפך of what looks like משיח is. But in my own world, none of that's touching it. I'm completely, I'm living a completely different experience than what looks like is happening in the world. And that comes from attuning myself more with פנימיות התורה, with soul work, with a with an era of soul learning.

And not necessarily knowledge-based learning. And that's the shift that we've entered into already right now. It's very very it's very clear that for the for the excitement of the next generation, that that's where we're heading.

So I think that it makes on the on the it could seem like it makes life that much more frustrating because what's happening inside of you is not mirrored with what you see on the outside. But on the contrary, you actually feel much more aligned and attuned with with yourself, with your real true self. And I believe באמונה שלמה that each and every one of us, deep down inside, our נשמות want this more than anything else in the world. More than anything in the world.

This is what we want. We don't want something else.We just have to jump more and more into learning פנימיות התורה. There is no other way. When I say פנימיות התורה, there's אין לדבר סוף today.

There's access to everything. It used to be that to get a pamphlet of some from רבי נחמן's words, you'd you'd jump, you would do anything in the world. Give you a greater example. In 1970, רב שלמה traveled to the Soviet Union.

And he stuck in his in his pants like 20 pamphlets of the latest שיחות that the רבי was giving in לובאוויטש at the time. געוואלד, did they tear up, did they grab the אידן in Russia that didn't know anything. The the description of what it was like when he gave out these pamphlets, each page, each letter, they tore it up. They were צמאה לך נפשי, they were so thirsty for it.

So today, it's all there and it's available for us, right? Which is like everything in life. Once it becomes more available, then the less the less uh passionate you are about it. So what it's boiling down to, I feel, is like really דאווענען, like everything is forcing us to say, what's the תפילה of your לב? What's the תפילה of your נשמה? When you start asking yourself these things before you start דאווענען, and you start דאווענען from a place of wondering, well what is what is my heart really, really crying over? What's it really aching over? That is getting a taste and a glimpse of your own soul. The experience of your own soul in this world.

There are millions of people that come to this world and leave this world and never had a taste of their own נשמה. It's possible. People that it's ממש possible. Here we're talking about an era of, listen, it's clear to all of us that שקר is governing in the world. It's not a it's not a I don't know any one of my friends that that is doesn't agree with that statement.

כולם, everyone that I know agrees with that statement. And yet, how is it that we're still going the way we're going? Because we're more and more tapped into the עולם האמת, to the world of truth that we know that if I believe in God, it means that God can do anything. And that also means that everything that we're learning here is not just theoretical, it could become practical like this.

It could become practical like this. And in our own lives, things have become practical sometimes overnight. They have, if you look at your own growth and your own journey. In God's time, things happen like this. In our time, we're stuck in the now.

Now, it has to happen now. Like they're screaming at the עצרות, עכשיו שלום עכשיו, that was the name of of the movement. That's not how it works in השם's clock. Just doesn't work like that. So, I think that for us to to really be in tune with the times right now, we have to we have to look at like what what what's being described to us as to what what it's going to look like when משיח is going to come.

And realize, you know what, I'm I'm so much more there than I realized actually. It should be an optimistic thing. It should be a place of feeling like, if you would have told me before October 7th that a year and a half into this war, it would still be the situation that we're in, and yet my commitment to you השם only gets stronger and stronger, you'd say it would be easier for the משיח to come than for that to happen. And look at you.

You're here. You're here. We're here. We're doing the best that we can.

Not being in seats of power, we're doing the best that we can. And it's okay to bring up to At a certain point the למה will change to change to למה, like we learned. And then this אור אלוקי, this window starts this this this window where where Godly light comes pouring through, starts to be felt on a personal, individual level.

There are people that I know in my life right now, they're living as if משיח is here. Like the way that they're tasting clarity and that the שקר is not even a שקר to them. It's it's it doesn't exist to them. There are people that are in this boat already.

They really are.Is it realistic?Huh?Is it realistic? Because you can't ignore what's going to on. How can you live a totally משיחדיק life and ignore the רוע that's still in the world? It doesn't mean that they're ignoring the רוע, it's that they're not under any they're not under any um spell of illusion of שקר.The lens changes. He seems lofty. Yeah.So now we're going to end this piece.

We have a very interesting thing. We have a statement in the רמב"ם and in others. יעל, this relates to what you said before.

עולם כמנהגו נוהג, which means...The world will continue as it is.The world will yeah. The world will continue as it is. You're not going to have talking butterflies.

You're not going to have um a change in the way that nature worked. That's not what's going to be. Actually the opposite is true.

גאולה is actually restoring order into the world that exists in front of you. Putting things together in their right place.

Taking all elements of potential good, of strength, of כח, and and charging everything, putting everything facing towards בניה, towards building, towards good. Therefore you have to realize something.

Redemption and משיח is actually restoring order to the world that we see in front of us right now. You're going to get up in the morning and put on and and go to the bathroom and put on clothes, all those things are going to are are still going to happen. It's just that what? Well what what would be the difference? The mind, ומלאה הארץ דעה את השם, the clarity of the mind.

And the experience, the experience of being in this world will be a very different a very different experience on an on an emotional level, on a cognitive level, but not on a physical level per se. That the world עולם כמנהגו נוהג, the world will be the world. So many people are freaked out, they're like, well I don't know how to fly a magic carpet or things like that. זה לא you have to זה לא זה.

Yeah. Will there be sadness in the world though? He said over here, no.It's just all going to disappear? He says, what he said, what will bring you what what what could bring you sadness?Like things will continue to happen but it just won't make you feel sad because you'll have better perspective. You'd have clear perspective. Yeah.So the sadness that we have up until now will just dissipate?Because you'll only see truth.Like if someone dies, you'll be able to rejoice with them because they're, you know the אמת, you know where they're going, you know that you're going to also, like it's not the end. You see, you see clearly what the אמת is.Yeah.Yeah, that that that definitely connects to what I was saying before about the real צדיקים that they they don't they're הם לא נבהלים ממוות. They're not they're not frightened from death because to them, like רבי נחמן said, when someone it's going it's changing your yeah, it's just change it's not what it is to us.

It's not what it is to us. So all these things will happen, but we're experiencing all of them with a with such profound clarity of what's אמת and what's not אמת on all levels that it won't affect us the way that it affects us today. But it also affects us differently when someone dies, ברוך השם of old age, or unfortunately someone who has a מחלה and being murdered are all on different levels of loss, like.Yeah, but those things won't happen. But they still have happened. You said the real- the reality of the world stays the same. So what has happened up until now, if משיח comes tomorrow, the realities of what we've lost will still be there. That's not the reality of the world.

That's not the reality. That's a that's an עיוות of the nature of the world. But it already but it happened.Doesn't matter. That's an עיוות, that's the שקר. The שקר won't happen anymore.Anymore.Yeah.You're not going to stop being sad of...You will.

100% you will. A million percent you will. That's the whole thing. You can't imagine that because it's an unknown.

How could I not how could I stop crying about those? You're going to stop crying because they're going to be alive. We believe in תחיית המתים. And they're coming to console you. No, but you were killed.

But I'm alive. It's a it's hard for us to understand this because it hasn't happened yet. But what are you crying for? They're in front of you. Your mother-in-law.

Your mother-in-law murdered on the streets here. Can you imagine that? I know. It's okay. But that's what we're talking about.

That's a crazy thing.Again, this seems to if you think that that's too much of a fabrication, I have a פסק הלכה for you. You're not allowed to say שמונה עשרה anymore. Because it's it's words לשווא. You can't say שמונה עשרה.

You tell us that.We say it every day.Your children are growing up saying these words. All of us.So because you're saying that horrific acts like that are not עולם כמנהגו.That's בדיוק.

They're not they're It's the distortion. Exactly. Now last thing from the רבי, some כח.

He would stress this point of עולם כמנהגו נוהג of that which will change and that which won't change. And he would stress this quite often The רבי was saying many people did a lot of good things, they built a lot of strong things during the during גלות, during the time of concealment.

And a lot of people were nervous that what's going to happen to all these things that I put so much effort into? Are they going if they doesn't fit in the בית המקדש, then what what are we doing with it? Do we chuck it? There's no reason at all to have this fear. גאולה is only going to bring completion in everything.

It's a famous teaching from the פריערדיקער רבי. Right? גאולה, take out the letter אלף, what do you have?

What does that mean? גאולה encloses itself within what you see today, the world you see today, which is a world of גלות.

But what does it insert into גלות? כשהקדוש ברוך הוא מתגלה בעולם, when God is revealed in the world, הגולה עצמה מתהפכת ונעשית גאולה.

This world that we see in front of us. Listen, I don't know if we're all going to be wearing the same clothes. I don't know. I don't know exactly.

I but I would think so. I would think so. I would think we're going to live in the same homes. Well, the prices this is the...

No, no, no. The prices will be different. No, no, no. This is actually, I'm serious about this.

It's שקר. Like so, so. No. There will be a change.

Listen, רב קוק, this actually רב קוק speaks about this about economy and prosperity, when in the in the world of תשובה versus a world of non-תשובה, how it's all balanced with the כלל when the כלל is acting like אין לך ייאוש, it's a very strong piece in רב קוק writings. Um, butIn יובל also, right? We're not going to...There'll be different, yeah, things are going to... So on that level, it'll be it'll be different. It it'll definitely be different and breaks my heart.

I have so many couples that are that are in touch with me and they want so badly to move here and they can't and it breaks my heart like I can't even express to you.To Israel or to a flat?To this neighborhood and they can't. And it's not just this neighborhood, but I'm just dealing with this neighborhood obviously. But to other places in עפולה where the the the דגן is so much cheaper. There's nothing there בכלל.

It's that's that's available. But there's going to be places again, a lot of these things we can't understand um until they happen. And then when what happens, a lot of the things you think, then I'll get my answers. Guess what's going to happen? You're not going to get your answers.

You know why? Because you won't have your questions anymore.דניאל always says she has to go write down all her questions for when רבי comes so she won't forget them.Because she knows, because she knows that there's going to be this זה כבר לא like it's so and it's so interesting how the גמרא ends off whenever there's a dispute, saying that אליהו הנביא is going to come and solve, right? But the but the אמת of it is that when it comes to those questions of the heart וכולי, we ask them in a state of unclarity and that's why they're questions. But in a state of clarity, most of these questions aren't questions. The למה will matter anymore? The למה will be in order to live like this, but למה won't be anymore. No. No.You wanted to ask something?I don't know, I forgot.See? You don't have that? It's happening already.Okay, so if miracles never happened, and you were saying it's the it's the עולם whatever, but like it's straight, it's the world as it is, like nature, it's natural.

But isn't that, is that natural?I mean, won't it take a miracle to switch that? To switch what? To to to to switch this whole thing to show us the truth, to to to make everyone see.To make everyone see will probably take some miracles, but we've already learned that um, first of all there's a מחלוקת regarding the nature of the of of the coming of משיח, miraculous versus not miraculous, which is very much based upon where we're at as conscious people versus just choosing to continue to live under Iron Dome protection. More the more we don't want it to be miracles by the way. Like we want it to be the most natural evolution in the world. However it is though, at this point in life, however it is, after 6 million Jews, after hundreds and thousands of let it just be and then we'll figure it out.

Do you know what I mean? It it that don't get stuck. Don't get stuck in it. Huh?Take a flying carpet. If that's what it is, that's where this at this שלב, 58 hostages still, still. And hundred and millions of Jews running to bomb shelters day after day.

Don't get stuck in deciphering the code. Let it may may it just be. May it just be. Right.

Should be our week.
