✨ Abundance. Alignment. Action.
It’s time to live more and earn more - with ease.
What actually happens when you step away?
So you might think, this is very
strange, Lucy sounds a little echoey
and there's some slight rumbles.
So bear with me.
But I'm recording this while on a ski
lift because I realized that actually
by being away, by stepping away.
I feel really inspired the
mountains, the snow, the sunshine.
It really inspires me and
those things really count.
And so I wanted to remind
you to take a break.
, You know, no matter how
challenging life can be, no matter
how much life throws at you.
Actually when you take a break, when you
go outside, you breathe in nature and
get some hopefully blue sky and greenery.
Maybe a little white from the snow and you
know, and you just feel so much better.
And when you start feeling
better, then ideas flow to you.
And that's really what this is about.
Because I definitely have been
really inspired while I've been here.
I was planning to switch off,
but my mind is always on.
My mind is always busy.
But when you are away, you are taking
a break, you can decompress and you can
come up with new ideas, new ways of being.
And I realized how, you know,
I started my business in 2016
and it was all about video.
It was all about being
confident on camera.
And the irony is I didn't
make that much video anymore.
I'll do some YouTube videos,
but I don't really do any reels.
I don't really do anything
where I think, ah.
Maybe there's a different way of working
as well, and so I just wanted to send
this little reminder to you that maybe
there's a different way of working that
you can only see when you step away.
You can only see when you see a different
environment, a different perspective.
And for me, I am in the French Alps.
I'm surrounded by beautiful mountains
and as I go up the gondola and
I'm going up to have a little
ski lesson with my boyfriend.
So he's a much better skier than
me, and I'm slightly nervous, but.
That's a good thing.
You know, I've had a few
days of decompressing.
I've not been skiing, and now
I'm gonna start some skiing and
you know, I am ready for this.
My tummy is definitely a little nervous,
but anxiety and nerves and adrenaline,
all of those things are great for us.
And sometimes we need to step
out of our comfort zone and
we need to say, you know what?
I'm gonna see things differently.
Do things differently, and
do things that challenge us.
This year I've been building a new
tech platform, and half the time
I don't always have the answers.
I am constantly thinking, how
on earth am I gonna do this?
But, I make it happen.
And I've loved it.
I feel like it's a tech adventure
and I have learned so much and,
my business is growing and it's
really coming on leaps and bounds.
It's called Flowelle.io if you
are interested, but the thing is,
whatever you are doing, it is so
good to step out of our comfort zone.
I was doing the same thing
for five, six years and I
definitely seven years actually.
And I definitely was feeling like
I wanted to do something different.
I wanted, I needed a new adventure.
I love to move, I love to have adventures
in life and in business, we are the same.
We need to stretch ourselves, we need
to grow, and it's, that's the only
way that we can, you know, really,
truly feel more alive in our business.
Otherwise, we stagnate.
And I definitely feel like I was
stagnating a bit because I had so
much going on in my personal life,
going through a very messy divorce
and very complicated that it meant
that I wasn't necessarily wanting
to stretch myself in other ways.
'cause I had so much going on
and I still got so much going on.
But I just got to the point
of almost getting fed up with
myself and saying, you know what?
I'm just gonna do this because if there's
never the right time, and you know, even
though I'm like six years into divorce
and everything keeps being delayed.
Court dates keep being delayed.
I've just gotta say, enough is enough.
That becomes noise.
And so whatever struggles, whatever
challenges you've got going on, maybe
they can become noise, whether it's
health challenges, whatever it may be.
It can become just something
that you have going on.
It's just a bit of noise, and you instead
focus on the things you wanna do, and you
just open your eyes to new possibilities,
new adventures, and new ways of working.
But it only starts when you're
willing to step out of that
comfort zone that you've built for
yourself and create something new.
And sometimes that starts with
doing something different.
Putting yourself out there, making
the leap, and it can be a metaphorical
leap, or it could be leaping off
the ski lift and going for a ski,
which I'm about to do any moment now.
Have an amazing day, whatever you are
up to, and I will talk to you soon.
Bye bye bye.
