like a tenth of her health.

and vegetation growth here is

So someone came here after the village was attacked
or something happened after the village was attacked
and caused this great plant
growth to sort of

So the way forward
is following this rot-infested river,

Upstream is what has been suggested, or at least
you know, the direction they came

I take a stick, and I
dip it into the river. How deep is the
river?
At this point, it's
fairly deep.
Like,
ten feet?
Yeah, well, I mean, that's a long stick.
But you'd
guess probably like,
yeah, probably in the ten feet area.
Okay, alright. So it's about a ten
foot river. That's good to
know.
How far
does it go for, does it
seem like?
It seems to head towards the mountain,
so at least like, you know,
several... Yeah, we're downstream of it.
So like a mile ahead. Yeah, several miles.
But again, your vision
is obscured because of all the trees, so it's hard to get an exact
like...
And this river...
Orin can confirm, though,
that it would probably be several miles, just...
Just because of, like, the aerial
view he did. Yeah, it'd be a couple of miles,

Uh, taking ten minutes to replace
some spells... I need to
ensure that this river stops
flowing, at least for now.

Orin thought first, I was like,
yeah, there's evil stuff in there,
we need to stop that.
Uh, I'm going to cast
control water.
And I'm going to
lower, um, the river
here, uh, for the next
hour, for five hundred feet,
by ten feet, drying out the riverbed.
Okay.
Pfft.
Do we see anything of note
in the detritus in the riverbed?
Uh,
I mean, there's some silt, there's, you know,
rocks, there's, um,
some, like,
very, very faintly remaining
blackened
tumors that appear to pop
as they are exposed
to raw air, as though they aren't meant
to exist. He recognizes this is
the rot, most definitely.
Uh, and then there's probably the bones
of, I don't know, like,
a dozen or so
humanoids.
Hmm.
Nature should hopefully reclaim this area
soon. I intend to do the same
for the next mile. That'll
mark our journey. Then we rest
again and continue
forwards.
Aura nods as he also looks down
at the bones and
he frowns a bit, but
understanding how nature is, it's
like, well, better
there than somewhere else.
And he begins to
travel up, basically,
in the direction where the last
inspector mother is. Yeah,
you begin following a winding path,
going north and east
and north and east, following
along this riverway.
Um, all
the while, Veena,
you get the
sense
that something around
here is
watching all of you. And
Baldrick,
as you sort of stay
to the shadows as the group moves
on, you catch
sight of something yourself, more directly.
Um,
and you see
the footpads of
perhaps
a half dozen
large
scaled creatures
coming up through
the forest around you.
And as you see that,
that's where we
are going to end today's
