Good morning and welcome. Today’s reading from the portion of Tzav highlights the significant seven days of consecration for the Mishkan. These days, known as Shivas Yemei Miluyim, began on the 23rd of Adar, leading up to the pivotal opening on Rosh Chodesh Nisan, marking a new era after the Exodus. During this time, Moshe functioned as the high priest, a unique role reversal where Aharon and his sons assumed the position of clients. We see the profound act of semicha, the leaning of hands on the sin offering, symbolizing a true transfer of responsibility. The blood of the offering plays a crucial role in purifying the altar, signifying our passions dedicated to a higher purpose. Moshe’s actions of sprinkling blood and offering the ram represent a deep connection to sacredness, transforming the altar into a center of atonement. This ritualistic process reminds us of the importance of aligning our actions with divine commandments. May we carry this spirit of dedication into our lives.
