Be the entrepreneur that you've always wanted to be!
Enough already with putting 100 percent of your future in the hands of others. The fastest way to succeed is to bet on yourself. Period! So here are five ways you can do just that...
Let's be honest: building a company from nothing is incredibly hard. It has been for me. I started my entrepreneurial journey at age 8. Yep, you read that right....8! Since then, I've started, run and sold multiple businesses with no partners and no funding. All my life I've had to build something from nothing, and that's what I've gotten really great at - tenacious, creative and extremely smart strategy coupled with hard work. Welcome to The Do What Is Necessary podcast—I’m your host, Andrew Moon.
Listen in as I share all the mistakes I’ve made and, more importantly, what I’ve learned from them, with no fluff, and no rose-colored glasses. The Do What Is Necessary Podcast is a show where we cut through the toxic hustle and grind mindset and dig into what it actually takes to start and grow a “calm business”. Calm is family first. Calm is more independence. Calm is sustainable practices for the long term. Calm is joyful. Running a calm company is a choice.
I’ll be giving unfiltered advice every week, 10 minutes per episode each. I want you to walk away from this podcast with the mindset and tools you need to be successful.
This podcast is for entrepreneurs, side hustlers, and busy professionals with a short attention span (like me)—you’ll get quick-hitting, actionable information in every single episode. If you give me your time, I promise it won't be wasted. Now let's get to work!
Be the entrepreneur that
you always wanted to be.
I bet on yourself.
I get pretty pumped up
about entrepreneurship.
I get pretty pumped up about this subject
because I see so many talented people that
are settling for their current existence.
AKA a job.
Because they're too scared
to bet on themselves.
Over 20 million people here
in the United States have quit
their jobs this year in 2021.
So there are a lot of people
that are tired of settling.
And it might be time to bet on yourself.
And I don't, I don't hold any ill will
towards those that are working a job.
But that shouldn't be the only thing
that you pursue and work on every day.
You have to have something on the
side, something that you're passionate
about, something that you're building.
For you.
Enough already with putting a
hundred percent of your future
into the hands of other people.
I've been doing this for a long time.
Since I was eight years old, I
knew that I did not want to put my
future in somebody else's hands.
And I came to the realization pretty
quickly that in order to succeed in
and to really be successful in content.
You have to bet on yourself.
Period.
And today I want to
talk about five things.
Five ways that you can do just that.
But before we get started with
these five ways, I want you to
look in the mirror right now.
And take a long look at
yourself and I want you to say.
To yourself.
I'm betting on me.
Then say you've got this.
Now say it again, but louder.
Get excited.
All right now that I've got
your blood flowing here.
Let's dive into five ways.
That you can bet on yourself.
The first one is you really
need to become your biggest fan.
I mean, you you've known all of your
entire life, you know, your strengths
and weaknesses, your likes and dislikes.
What you're passionate about.
Who else is better qualified to sell
yourself and your business to your
customers and prospective clients.
You have to promote yourself
every opportunity that you get.
And I know.
For us as introverts.
That is.
Tough to do.
But it must be the only opportunity.
That you might get to promote yourself.
Now, just like you would cheer
your favorite sports team.
You need to cheer for yourself.
Put in the work.
Put in the practice and
the long hours required.
Now, I'm not saying go to extremes.
I'm not.
Promoting the hustle and grind
mindset that is so cliche.
But in order to win the game.
You have to put in the work.
You have to put in the practice.
And the crowd watching you,
your customers will go wild.
I promise you.
When they feel and see your passion.
And they see that you
are your biggest fan.
The second way to build to bet on yourself
is know that success is the only option.
You have the work ethic, you
have the discipline, you have
the intelligence to succeed.
The key ingredient is the unwavering
belief in you in yourself.
Amazing things happen when
you remove all of the excuses.
You put your head down.
You give it everything you've got.
And stop listening to all of the haters.
Stop listening to the people.
Who tell you that you should
just get a job and play it safe.
You have to know and firmly
believe in your mind that you will
succeed no matter what happens.
I'm not saying it's going to be
sunshine and rainbows all the time.
But it is a matter of time.
That you will reach success.
I promise you.
I'm reminded of a quote that.
I love by Darren Hardy.
If you've seen some of his
work, um, I love this quote.
He said whatever you vividly imagine
ardently desire, sincerely believe
in and enthusiastically act upon.
Must inevitably come to pass.
Number three.
Understanding your vision.
This is the dream that you have.
And this isn't a packaged version of
what somebody else expects you to do.
You can't let your dream go to waste.
There's no one else in the world.
Like you.
The unique set of skills, talents,
knowledge, and personality that
you have is what makes you uniquely
designed to achieve this vision?
It's a perfect match.
We just have to get out of our heads.
You just have to dig into it.
Dissected study everything
about your dreams, your vision.
Knowing breeds confidence and
competence speaks for itself.
Now, I'm not saying you
have to know everything.
In order to bet on yourself, but you have
to grow and get better every single day.
And that takes humility, knowing that
you don't have all the answers and having
the humility to find those answers.
Number four success is
yours for the taking.
People crave the product
and services that you offer.
Now, if you're an entrepreneur, They
will crave the product and services
that you have and might be waiting.
Waiting for you.
They might be waiting for you
to bring it to market, but they
just haven't found you yet.
Betting on yourself means
showing up and getting visible.
No one is going to knock on the
door with a boatload of cash.
Promising you a massive amount of success.
You have to put in the work, you have
to go find the people that need you.
Solve their problems.
And then wallah.
Success.
Let's be honest.
It's much easier to sit on
the couch, watch TV, surf the
internet, and be comfortable.
The simple fact that you're
listening to this podcast
sets you apart from the crowd.
Now, take it a step further
bet on yourself and claim the
success that is waiting for you.
Number five.
Bet on yourself because you deserve it.
You owe it to yourself.
It's risky to get uncomfortable and
decide to be the maker of your own fate.
But who do you trust more than yourself?
Nobody else can do it for you.
Nobody else will do it for you.
You're going to even surprise
yourself along the way in the journey.
Once you let go.
And just go all in.
I get out of your own way with
fear, doubt, and negativity.
Instead, imagine the possibilities and
be confident in your ability to win.
It would be a shame.
To always think about the, what
ifs and I've, I I've been around
people that, what if this happens?
What if that happens?
What if you don't succeed?
You are constantly surrounded
by people who paint those.
What if scenarios?
But you're better than that.
So, what are you waiting for?
Don't prolong your success any longer.
Take the chance and bet on yourself.
You've seen people be successful.
You admire people that are
successful, you've admire and seen
people that have done it before.
They're living their dream
life because they made the
decision to bet on themselves.
Make the decision and commit.
It's that simple.
Your future self will.
Thank you.
Remember.
You got this?
That on you.
