Good morning and welcome
to your morning cereal.
Okay, good morning and welcome to Monday.
I hope you had a great weekend
and if you were one of
just a few tens of millions
and millions of people
that watched the Super Bowl,
well, I hope you at least enjoy the food
and the commercials, right?
But if your Monday still
needs a little bit of sweetness
to get you moving, you are in luck.
Today is National Chocolate Day.
So maybe start the day in the week
with most likely a
zero calorie mocha latte.
It's pretty good.
It is time for
Friday's trivia answer, teas.
Assam, dejeerling and
roebas are all types of teas.
And now the essential
vitamins in your morning cereal.
Today's quote is from
birthday girl Rose Leslie,
who is turning 38 years old today.
Rose said, quote, "You have to be brave
"and take risks," end quote.
And this is a solid reminder
that comfort zones are safe and cozy,
but you need to face
your fears to push yourself
and pursue your goals, right?
Embrace those uncertainties
if you want to chase down personal and
professional growth.
And remember, some of your best learning
comes out of failure.
And you also might remember,
this is something Rose said also in a
role that she played,
and you know nothing, Jon Snow.
All right, well, let's
hear from the experts now.
It is time to pour in some Let Them
Theory by Mel Robbins.
And today's section is titled,
The Purpose of Dating is Not
Just to Find the One, okay?
And right away, Mel flips one of the
biggest cultural myths
on its head.
She explains that most
people approach dating
like a scavenger hunt.
Find the one, then lock it down
and declare the mission complete.
But Mel argues that that
mindset, it creates pressure,
it's anxiety for you,
and a whole lot of bad
decisions along the way.
So as Mel writes, quote,
"Dating is not about proving your worth
or rushing towards permanence,
it's about learning," end quote.
And according to Mel,
the real purpose of dating
is data collection, okay?
Every interaction teaches you something
about communication,
about boundaries, emotional availability,
and most importantly here, yourself.
So when you stop treating every day
like a potential forever decision,
you actually start
showing up more authentically.
And she points out how
many people ignore red flags
because they're just
so focused on potential
instead of what's reality,
what's right in front of them.
One of the most powerful
lines in this section is, quote,
"You don't date to be chosen,
you date to observe," end quote.
And that shift alone takes dating
from exhausting to empowering, okay?
Now, Mel also emphasizes
that dating helps you practice
the let them mindset in real time.
If someone doesn't text you back
or they cancel last minute,
or maybe they're showing
just mixed signals, let them.
Their behavior is information for you,
it's not a challenge for you to solve.
And Mel explains that
every date is an opportunity
to clarify what you want,
what you won't tolerate,
and how you want to
feel in a relationship.
The goal isn't to
impress, it's to assess.
And the moment you
stop chasing validation,
dating becomes lighter, healthier,
and honestly, it
becomes more fun for you.
So Mel reminds readers
that dating is part of growth,
not a detour from it.
Each experience sharpens your self-trust
and strengthens your boundaries.
And as she says, quote,
"Every interaction that doesn't work
is still working for you.
All right, here is your Monday takeaway.
Dating isn't about finding the one fast,
it's about becoming someone
who knows exactly what they want.
All right, chocolate
has been consumed, I hope.
Wisdom has now been delivered
and it is time to
take this Monday head on.
But first, the prize from
the bottom of the cereal box,
the morning cereal
trivia question of the day.
Here it is.
What type of bean is typically used
to make hummus?

for the trivia answer and
