Good morning and

welcome to Morning Syria.

Okay, good morning and

welcome to Wednesday.

We are out of the worst of the cold

and we've hit the

midpoint of the week already.

But sadly, that means we likely need to

brave the weather now

and head back outdoors,

heading back to work

or back to school even.

But on a positive note, today we're

celebrating Lego Day.

Now, Legos are huge in our house.

I don't know if

they're big in your house,

but our whole family enjoys a good build

and of course, that universal experience

of stepping on a Lego

and hopping around in pain

while questioning all

of your life choices.

But before we snap today together,

let's answer yesterday's trivia question,

which was Python.

The programming language

named after a British comedy show

is Python after Monty Python.

All right, now the essential vitamins

in your morning cereal.

Today's quote is from birthday boy,

who turns just 45 today, Elijah Wood,

who once said, quote, "The

best way to predict the future

is to create it," end quote.

Now, Mr. Frodo is right.

Rather than passively

waiting to see what happens,

you should take

proactive, deliberate action

to shape what you want your life

and your life outcome to be.

Well, let's hear from the experts now.

It is time to pour in

some of the let them theory

by Mel Robbins.

And in the sub-chapter,

stop avoiding the problem.

Mel, she tackles something almost all of

us do instinctively.

Avoid the thing that

makes us uncomfortable.

I know I do it, you probably do too.

Now, Mel explains that avoidance isn't

laziness or weakness.

It's just fear in

disguise, fear of conflict.

Everybody hates that.

Most people do at least, fear of failure.

I know everybody hates that.

Fear of making the wrong move.

And while avoidance feels

like relief in the short term,

it quietly erodes confidence over time.

Now, Mel writes, quote,

"Avoiding the problem

doesn't make it disappear.

It gives it more power," end quote.

Now, the longer you avoid something,

the bigger it becomes in your mind.

It starts to feel

heavier, more complicated,

and more emotionally

charged than it actually is.

So one of the

strongest points that she makes

is that clarity

doesn't come before action,

it comes after action.

Many of us tell ourselves,

"We'll deal with the

issue once we feel ready,

calm or confident."

But Mel reminds us

that readiness is created

through movement, not waiting.

And she also says,

"The moment you face the problem

is the moment you reclaim your power."

Now, facing something doesn't mean

solving it perfectly.

It means acknowledging it honestly

taking one small

intentional step forward.

So send that email, make that call,

have the hard conversation,

not because it's comfortable,

but because avoiding it

is costing you more energy

than addressing it ever will.

Now, Mel encourages breaking problems

into the smallest possible action first.

Momentum isn't built by motivation.

Remember, she said this,

"It's built by movement."

And once you start,

fear starts to loosen its grip on you.

All right, here is

your hump day takeaway.

Face the problem you've been avoiding.

Clarity and confidence are

waiting on the other side.

So today, remember, one of the

reasons we like Legos so much

is that they are just like life,

reminding us that big

things are built brick by brick,

not all at once.

All right, now the prize

from the bottom of the box,

the morning cereal

trivia question of the day.

Here it is, what does

a paleontologist study?

Probably have a good idea on that one.

Well, thanks for

listening to Morning Cereal today.

We will see you back here tomorrow

for the answer to the trivia question

and more sugar for the soul.
