LIFE Bite

In this deeply moving episode of LIFE Bite, Pastor addresses the Calvary Life church family following the heartbreaking loss of Charlie Kirk - a beloved brother, husband, and father who exemplified unwavering faith and bold courage.

Charlie Kirk was more than just a church member; he was a man who chose to live authentically for the gospel in a world that often rejects it. His life serves as a powerful reminder that true faith isn't silent - it speaks, it acts, and it refuses to be intimidated.

In this episode, you'll hear:
  • Pastor Chet's heartfelt tribute to a man of extraordinary faith
  • The biblical perspective on mourning with hope, not despair
  • The powerful imagery of moving from "Lamb" to "Lion" in our faith journey
  • How Charlie's legacy challenges each of us to live more boldly
  • Encouragement for standing firm in truth while extending love • A call to honor his memory through our own courage and authenticity

Key Message: While we mourn the loss of our brother, we don't mourn as those without hope. Charlie's life reminds us that for 2,000 years, the world has tried to silence the church - but we will not be silenced.

This episode serves as both a beautiful memorial to Charlie Kirk and an inspiring challenge for all believers to live with the same boldness, love, and unwavering commitment to truth that defined his life.

Please join us in prayer for Erica Kirk, their two young children, and all who knew and loved Charlie.

What is LIFE Bite?

LIFE Bite is a short-format Christian video podcast where Chet Lowe and guests dive into real-life issues with biblical truth—one bite at a time.

Each episode delivers practical wisdom, spiritual insight, and honest conversations to help you grow in faith and live with purpose.

Calvary Life, I'm speaking to you as your pastor and I'm speaking to my church, my church at
Calvary Life where I have the privilege to be your senior pastor to speak the truth of God into
your life and for you, quite frankly, to speak the truth into my life. We're in a race together
because we're a family and because we're a family it's important that we stop for a moment
and mourn the death of one of our brothers, Charlie Kirk. The news is reporting that he was
assassinated but we know full well he's a martyr for the Lord Jesus Christ.
He's a mountain of faith, a man of God. He chose in a world that rejects the gospel to live the
gospel, to speak the gospel, and to speak the truth of the Word of God. And so as a church,
we're going to stop and we're going to mourn because the Bible says in Romans 12, we should
mourn with those who mourn.
And Erica, she's lost her husband of four years and two small children have lost their dad. A
mom and a dad have lost their son but we as the church, we've lost, we've lost a brother and he
chose to fight his fight and he chose to run his race and now they're set before him a crown.
Because in his death, we know there's hope because life does not end at death because of the
Lord Jesus Christ.
To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. For 2,000 years ago, Jesus Christ
died on the cross and Charlie believed that and today he's living in the presence of the Lord.
Jesus Christ rose again on the third day, he resurrected and he, because he conquered death,
he is the only one able to give eternal life.
Charlie believed that, he spoke that, he lived it and so do we at Calvary Life. And Jesus Christ
who died for us, he represents himself in two different ways that I pray that we would become
like Christ. First, as the Lamb of God, the Lamb who's gentle and mild, who stops to mourn
today, who stops to pray for a family, that God, the God of all comfort, would comfort Erica and
the entire family.
But Jesus Christ also represents himself as the Lion of Judah. You see, today as the Lamb, we
mourn with the family but tomorrow, we will arise as the Lion. With every death and burial,
there is a resurrection because of Jesus Christ.
While we mourn, we do not mourn as those who do not have hope. We mourn as those that do
have hope and we will emerge as the Lion. You see, for 2,000 years, the world has been trying
to silence the church but we won't be silenced and I believe in the church because it's the Bride
of Jesus Christ and I believe that we can emerge as the Lion to speak the truth with love.
As the Lamb, we love our enemy but as the Lion, we speak boldly, boldly as a Lion with no fear
and I believe that the church can emerge from this as one that is willing to speak the truth with
love in such a way like we've never done before. So to my church, why not we honor the legacy
of Charlie's life and why not we choose to live the kind of life that he lived? What a way to honor
his family, his legacy but most importantly, what a way to honor the Lord Jesus Christ that we
too would be as bold as a Lion, that we too would not cower in the face of the world, that we
would stand up, we'd rise up, we'd resurrect and we would press on. That will honor our
brother's death because here at Calvary Life, we will speak the truth.
We will speak it with grace and we will speak it with love but we will speak the truth. The truth
will not be silenced and though the world may try, we will rise up and you will watch many
come to Christ in this day because of what's happened. So my prayer for each one of you and
for our church is that we would honor Charlie Kirk's life with our boldness for the gospel.
God bless each one. We're praying for Erica and the entire family.
