What is The Viktor Wilt Show?

The Viktor Wilt Show daily recap! If you miss the show weekdays from 6A-10A MST, you've come to the right place.

Here we go. Wednesday, September 18th morning, and welcome to the Viktor Wilt program. I hope that so far, the day is treating you well. Hope you're not feeling stressed or anything. I was just reading that, a good portion of the country, like 40 percent, has reached peak stress.

I'm sorry. I am not feeling at peak stress right now. I'm stressed, but not peak. Thankfully, we've got a distraction today. A distraction that works for me anyway might not work for you, but give it a whirl.

National Cheeseburger Day. That's right. It's a cause for celebration. National Cheeseburger Day, my favorite food holiday. Might be able to find a deal on a burger somewhere.

Some of the burger deals I've been looking at here, I don't think they're that great. Like Wendy's, for example, one of my go to's. Get a junior bacon cheeseburger for a penny if you buy anything else. That's like a regular deal. I'm familiar with the Wendy's app.

That's not a special deal. Why not a Baconator for a dollar? Come on, burger king offering their app users a free cheeseburger with a purchase of a dollar or cheeseburger. You know, the ones that little kids get in the happy meal. Come on.

Let's celebrate national cheeseburger day with some real burgers. Yeah. Little junior bacon cheeseburger or a regular burger king, small cheeseburger. That don't count. At least McDonald's is doing double cheeseburgers for 50¢.

If you order through the app now, can you get more than 1? However, because that's just kind of like a big burger for a kid. The McDonald's double cheeseburger. And let's see some of these others we don't have around here, like wall burgers, what a burger smash burger smash burgers deal. Doesn't look that great either.

Get a classic single for $5 a single burger. Come on, unless it's the bacon and blue, you know, stuffed bacon and blue burger, which is, one patty, technically. I ain't impressed by any of these little little fast food, single patty burgers. Come on. Get out of here.

Anyway, I I don't know if any of the high quality burger shops around here are doing any deals. Like I mentioned, bacon and blue. You got Sully's, you got the blue wave, got, snake bite. I mean, there are a lot of good burgers around here. Sorry to any of that I have left out.

I I feel bad. But as a burger guy, you know, I was feeling kinda grumpy this morning. Been a little cranky this week for some reason. It did brighten my day that it's national cheeseburger day. So, I think I'll have to celebrate later.

I'm I think I get to be in a cheapskate sometimes. Well, especially lately. Funds are getting tight. Funds are getting tight. Had some friends invite me to the Sepultura show in Salt Lake, Saturday, and I'm like, Ugh.

I would love to go to a show, but I don't know. I I think I need to just hunker down. I think the, minimal levels of stress and grumpiness plus lack of funds. I'm gonna have to go for a 50¢ double cheese. So I posted about national cheeseburger day in the cabare 101 Idaho rock and the metal group.

I suppose if you're listening from elsewhere, local burgers, probably not that exciting to you, but maybe you're looking for an excuse for a road trip. We have some amazing burgers around here. It's really hard to pick a favorite. My go to tends to be bacon and blue because they're delicious, fast, priced well, and really close to my house, But there are lots of good burgers. And, I posted who has the best burger in east Idaho.

We know this is going to be a list of every burger available in east Idaho. That's what these type of Facebook posts end up being because everybody has a little bit different taste. But having a list is handy because maybe you're going, I wanna try something new. Perhaps that's what I should do today. Let's take a look at what people online are saying as far as the best burger in east Idaho goes.

We got pickles in arco, which Lou Brutus, peaches, and I, when we were on our way to craters of the moon, pickles is where we stopped and had a delicious burger. Pickles, definitely one of the best in east Idaho. If you're out in the middle of the arco desert, you you gotta stop and have a pickles burger. And they got a lot of other good stuff as well. Brian Lee said Hardee's, which is a if you're listening elsewhere, you might be thinking of, Hardee's, which I don't even know if they exist anymore.

I think that's just Carl's Junior now. But anyway, no. This is Hardee's with a y, and, that's another place that's fairly close to my house and I've never had a burger. Maybe I'll order one to go this evening because I have heard they're really good. Zach said the rusty lantern, which is another burger I have not had before.

And where's the rusty lantern? Is that like Rigby? Hang on. Hang on. I've heard of the place, but I've never been there.

Oh, it's out in Yukon. Okay. Have heard they're really good. Old west themed diner according to their website. They got a picture of their their burgers here on the website.

Let's give it a look. Let me see what that burger looks like. That would be the rustylanterndiner.com. Here, we'll go to the, the dinner menu here. Okay.

They don't have pictures. Alright. Burger prices look pretty good, though. Might have to get out there and give it a whirl. Okay.

What else are people saying on Facebook? AJ's, another new place that, I have not tried out. Might have to give them a whirl. They've had a lot of great local shows. AJ's over the years has been a variety of venues.

It's a bigger venue. It'd be a great place to see some national touring acts come through. I hope they're working on trying to book something like that. But AJ's could potentially be a very good burger. I know that, what was it called before it was AJ's?

They had some great burgers whatever it was called before. I mentioned some of my favorites bacon and blue. Sullies is top notch. They're a newer place. If you haven't tried them, there's the classic big Judds out in archer.

They're really good. I mean, this is something I could talk about all day as someone who really enjoys cheeseburgers. But if you have any good recommendations, please post them in the k Bear 101 Idaho Rocket Metal group. So far, it's looking like today I've gotta either pick up something from the rusty lantern or Hardee's simply because I have not tried them. Oh, Dustin pointed out the blue heeler, which is a bar in Pocatello.

And, I believe I've had their burger before. I didn't even start thinking about Pocatello burgers. I was just, you know, I'm I'm not treating the entire market right here. Pocatello every once in a while, there's a food truck that opens up called, dunk burger. Really good.

Really good dunk burger. And I know there are a variety of other burgers I need to give a whirl in Pocatello. Oh, somebody mentioned Scottie's in Idaho Falls. Scottie's top notch. Top notch Scottie's.

How did I forget about Scottie's? They got that, pastrami burger. That's always my go to at Scottie's. I should probably shut up about burgers. Gonna make myself hungry.

And as far as I know, you can only get a burger at this hour at a fast or not a fast food, a convenience store or maybe Jack in the Box. Burger King still do a whopper for breakfast? They might. I don't know. I don't eat a lot of breakfast because you start your day with a burger.

Yeah. It's kinda all downhill from there. You're gonna eat like a pig all day. Gotta keep it light for breakfast if you're me. Alright.

Well, if we get any other interesting responses, maybe we'll check back in on national cheeseburger day. But, I just wanted to encourage you to pick up a burger. Might really brighten things up. Hey. When you go pick up a cheeseburger today for national cheeseburger day, if you go to a fast food restaurant, try not to be a piece of crap to the employees there.

I was looking at a thread online about things that are hated on way more than they should be. Fast food workers, a very popular response. I've talked about this many times. Fast food is a tough job. Alright?

I've worked many a fast food job. You're on your feet all day nonstop. There are not really breaks. You're always busy, and customers treat the employees like garbage, employees who don't make very good money anyway. Be nice to your fast food workers.

K? Yeah. Maybe to you. Oh, look. They've got simple tasks.

You gotta throw together a bird. It's the on your feet stress go go go that makes those jobs difficult, and you need to be much nicer to people in those positions. Somebody screws up your order, don't lose your mind. You need to wait a little while in the drive through. Get over it.

Don't be a piece of crap. What are some other things that the Internet says are hated on way more than they should be? And do I agree, or do I think these things should be hated on? I don't know. Let's take a look and see what people are saying.

Sleeping in. Do people hate hate on that? Maybe. I say as someone who has gotten older and sleeping in for the most part tends to be difficult for me. On the weekends, I tend to start waking up very early.

On a good day, I'm able to get back to sleep and sleep in a bit. Sleep in if you can. Alright. Now if you're living in your bed and you're depressed, you need to get some help. But normal just, hey, I'm gonna sleep in.

I'm gonna try to rack up 10 hours if I can. If you can, do it. Alright? Do it and don't feel a a bit of shame about it. K?

Unless you're not getting things done you need to. Alright? Again, this is if you if you can. Alright? Don't be skipping out on your kid's soccer ball game or something because you wanna sleep in.

But, like, you know, if you're some dude who just lives with cats like me, you know, feed them real quick. Go back to bed. Alright. The word moist, did I just bother some people? A lot of people claim they hate the word moist.

These folks online seem to think everyone hates it because the Internet said to, like, a decade ago. Was the word moist hated before it was a viral thing online? I don't recall it being hated when I was young, but I don't remember things very well. The word moist does not bother me. If it bothers you, I'm sorry I said it.

Moist, moist, moist, moist, moist, moist. Sorry. What else is hated on? I mean, I I certainly don't think you need to hate on the word moist. It's just a word.

I can think of, other words that certainly bother me more. Not gonna say them. Let's see. People who don't drink alcohol or people who don't drink alcohol hated on. You know, if somebody doesn't drink, let them be.

Right? Take this from somebody who's had, plenty of booze in my day, and I know the challenge of not drinking if you've got a taste for it or if you're genetically predisposed to enjoying that. If somebody's trying to not drink, obviously, be respectful of that. But if somebody's never drank and they don't have a desire to, don't peer pressure them. Right?

Like Peaches around here. He's he's never drank. You don't see me calling him up every weekend. Come on, Peaches. Come on.

It's time to get some of that booze in your system. Come on, buddy. You you know, you're 28 years old. What's wrong? No.

No. You don't wanna drink? That's fine. We got a caller? Maybe they got something that's hated on that doesn't need to be.

K Bear, you're live on the show. Keep that in mind. Who's this? Hey. How are we doing back there?

I'm doing pretty good. Who's this? Hey, Zach. How are you doing, bud? Doing good.

Zach, I'm doing pretty good. Do you got something on your mind that people hate on a lot that they don't need to? You know, it would have to be, the multiple I don't know if I could say it on those on the radio. The multiple, Yeah. Be careful.

Political thing. Yeah. Yeah. A political thing. Alright.

Yeah. But but the political thing, you know, some people address it as a mental disorder. Oh, okay. Okay. I know where you're going.

The younger people. I know where you're going. Yeah. I, I certainly don't think, people need to be hating on that kind of thing either. I wish people could, learn to try to empathize with others.

If there are things about people you don't understand, maybe talk to somebody in that situation and, maybe they can make you understand a little bit better. You know, I know a lot of different types of people, every type of person you could possibly imagine. And, I think all people are, you know, okay. I shouldn't say all people are good people, but, you know, people, the way people are does not just automatically indicate they're a bad person. There, there are good people in every group of people.

And, yeah, I I think that See, I'm not even talking about the people themselves, you know, but you don't need to be hating on people for what they think they are. I totally agree. Totally agree. Let people be people. What what what does it hurt you?

You know? Exactly. You know? I I think at this point in, society, we need to do everything we can to try to come together more, you know, be there for each other. There's, you know, people going through all kinds of different struggles.

There's major, horrible issues in the world. Let let's work together a little bit. You know, I I try to not hate on anybody, except for jade Davis. So well, I I appreciate the call, man. I mean, that, that, that is a good message to get out there.

Just try to be a good human being, be good to one another. So Right. Right. Have a good day, Richard. You too, man.

Thanks, Zach. See you. Alright, rep. Totally agree. Totally agree.

People, you know, just try to consider, you know, how things are for other people. What else do we have here that people hate on that don't need to be hated on so much? Other people's interests? Sure. Yeah.

You're really into, I don't know what's something that I'm not into. Country music? We're still homies. Alright? We're cool.

Spiders? Nah. It's okay to hate on spiders. No. Sometimes it's good to have spiders around.

You got a bug problem at your house? They'll kill those bugs. But, you know, you're you're talking hobo spiders, black widows. Sorry. I've I've been bitten by a poisonous spider before, and it sucks.

So spiders don't do well in my house. I try to keep them out because I've I've I've just got the knack for getting bitten. What else do we have here? Guy Fieri. He actually does quite a bit of charity work.

Is he really that hated on? I mean, people poke fun. I don't know. He seems like a nice enough guy, Wears stupid shirts, has funny hair. Yeah.

He's silly looking. I'm I'm down for that. Vegetables. I don't think people really hate on him, do they? You should eat vegetables.

This is a reminder to myself. All I've been talking about all morning. It's cheeseburgers. Maybe get yourself a a carrot, buddy. That was a brand new one from poppy.

They're all around us. Track dropped yesterday. I gotta say I'm really digging the newer Poppy stuff. She teamed up with Jordan Fish, formerly of Bring Me the Horizon, who's producing this new album and everything we've heard so far. I think it's really good.

I actually did a YouTube reaction video to that track right after it dropped yesterday. If you haven't followed us on YouTube yet, we're trying to put up a lot more video content. It's k Bear 101 r m g, like Riverbend Media Group. K Bear 101 r m g on YouTube. Give us a follow.

I just took a Zyrtec, like, without a drink of water, and it's it's stuck in the back of my throat.

I went and got a drink of water, tried to wash it down. It it's just not working out for me here. But, allergies, definitely, rolling rolling at a high level as of late. I don't know. I've I've had a rough couple weeks just not feeling wonderful, had the COVID.

Now it's just allergies and aggravation. Working on the aggravation front. You know, all I gotta do is deep breaths here and there. You know, always do your best to keep these stress levels low. It's bad for your health, and I know it can be challenging in these times.

But deep breaths, little meditation, or just throw on grand theft auto 5 and just, you know, cause a little bit of mayhem. You know? Unfortunately, I beat the story mode on grand theft auto 5, and now I have no desire to continue playing the game. I could 100% it, but I don't I don't know. Takes a long time.

Go around, collect a bunch of crap. Think it's time to move on to another video game. Oh, well. Anyway, Yeah. Follow us on all of our socials if you haven't yet done so.

Look for traffic school, and we've got more podcasts on the way. I know we've been saying that for a bit. Sorry about the delay, but we'll have an interview podcast launching soon as well as the noon hour of madness and mayhem. So, you know, stay tuned on all that, but follow us everywhere. If you haven't checked out the new website, riverbendmediagroup.com, go give it a look.

It's really cool. Might have to get into some of this instant coffee that Peach has picked me up at Trader Joe's because getting exhausted already. What happened? Well, I was looking at Facebook. It's a good way to get yourself exhausted first thing in the morning.

Just surprises me, the things that people believe sometimes. You wonder if they're sharing it. Like, do you really believe it? Like, what would it take for Taylor Swift to have to cancel a tour? Alright.

I know Taylor Swift, not a rocker, but just the sheer unbelievable nature of the post I saw making the rounds about her canceling her tour. I'm like, do do you guys really believe that? Come on. She's the most popular artist in the world. Now I'm not a not a big fan.

Yeah. As the guy who programs the music on z, I've said many times that I think there are better pop artists out there, but whatever. You know, sometimes what is most popular is not necessarily the best, but she's clearly very, very popular. She made a, political statement recently. And so a lot of people are saying, oh, the backlash was so intense.

People stopped buying tickets. She only sold a a couple thousand tickets to her upcoming stadium dates in the and these were overseas as well. I don't think people overseas really care about, celebrities making statements about American politics. But, yeah, I mean, obviously, it was just as is typical on Facebook, fake, you know, fake news. Fake content all around, but people really seem to believe it.

I I don't know if you're all familiar with a website called Snopes. If you're ever unsure about something you see online, you can go to Snopes, snopes.com, and, find out some truth. Maybe you've never looked at that website. It can be fun just to scroll through and read. You find out about all the weird things that people are saying online right now, and sometimes they're true, sometimes they're not.

Because unbelievable things do happen. And you might go, okay. There's no way this is real. Oh, jeez. It is.

That's pretty wild. But it works in the opposite direction as well. So as information seems to be getting more and more just convoluted and crazier and crazier and more and more unbelievable. You might wanna take some time to just visit Snopes and look around a bit. You might learn something too.

There might be something you heard years ago that you go, you know what? I hadn't thought about that in a bit. I wonder if that was true. And then you go check it out and go, oh, wow. Well, I believed that for years.

Man, what an idiot I was. It's happened to me. K. I believe plenty of stupid things. You know?

Sometimes information can seem very reliable and believable. But often, if you're like, I don't know. That seemed kinda weird. Often, that stuff is fake. So just give it a look.

Alright? I mean, I I don't really you know, I'm not really that negatively affected by this kind of stuff because I can generally look at something and go, wow. That's ridiculous if people believe that and move along. But misinformation leads to problems in the world. So let's go ahead and just try to spread some truth.

K? Truth is good for the minds of humanity. So always do your best to spit spread truthful information whether you like it or not. Alright? Even if you really wish that something was true, it could be harmful to share that information.

K? Just go check it out. Snopes.com. Highly recommend it. I've about had it with all these news stories about coffee.

In the last 2 weeks, I've seen don't drink coffee. You're gonna die. Coffee is a miracle elixir. It just goes back and forth and back and forth, and nobody knows what the truth is anymore. Like, this article that popped up today.

Hey. If you have moderates amount of caffeine, about 3 cups of coffee or tea a day, well, you have, you know, potentially a lower risk of developing cardiometabolic multimorbidity. That's what it says. Yeah. Which, I guess that is the coexistence of at least 2 cardiometabolic diseases, such as coronary heart disease, stroke, and type 2 diabetes.

I swear I saw something, like, a week ago that, you know, coffee's gonna make your heart explode. I don't know what to say. Alright. You're you're rolling the dice, I guess, when it comes to coffee. It might be helping you.

It might be destroying you. I don't know anymore. But in order to survive the morning show, I guess I gotta keep drinking the coffee. Alright. Let's see.

Got another text scam. Some guy got a text message saying he won $30 at his local grocery store. Got linked to a page asking for his bank account information, and, thankfully, he didn't give it over for once. Maybe the, boomers are finally learning. Anytime there's a tech scam, I wanna remind you, don't just give out your bank account information or Social Security number or any of that to random numbers that text you.

K? You might end up having a bad time. Might end up losing a lot of money. Let's see. Workplace and remote work company surveillance hurts workers' mental health.

Yeah. If you feel like you're being watched all the time, I'm sure that would hurt your mental health. K? I I don't I wouldn't enjoy it if I felt like I was being watched every second. You know, they're monitoring your computer screen.

What are they looking at? What are they doing? I mean, luckily, the job I work, I'm generally just trying to find content. So you might see all kinds of crazy stuff pop up if you were monitoring my computer monitor because I'm opening, like, 20 news stories at a time going, is this good? Nope.

Close that tab. Nope. Nope. Nope. Till I finally get down to maybe one that's okay, like this one.

Hurting my mental health doing this morning show today. Tell you what. On a slow news day, this is not a good day to, try to do a morning show on a slow news day. If you're pregnant, you might wanna be careful what food you eat and what medications you take, not simply for health reasons, but they might take away your baby due to a false positive on a drug screening. I was looking through this big long article here, and, yeah, people are getting their kids taken away after birth for all kinds of reason, and they eventually get them back.

But I guess these standard drug screens used by many hospitals, like, I remember hearing in school, like, don't eat poppy seed muffins. You're gonna fail a drug test if they give you one. No. Apparently, you can. You fell for, like, heroin.

And when you got a new baby, they generally frown on heroin showing up on your blood test. So you might wanna be careful with that. Also, looking through this article, I mean, people have failed for all kinds of other things. You know, like, hey. You got p c p in your system.

No. I mean, what are you talking about? I just used a vicks vapor inhaler. Now whatever. That sounds ridiculous.

You're going to jail. Yeah. All kinds of, products causing people false positives on a drug screening. And that's kinda scary because okay. When I worked in Burley, I don't know what's going on in Burley, but I would talk to my customers at the store.

And so many people in Burley are on probation. You know, like, I don't know if it's still that way. This was over a decade ago, but I I was always blown away by how many people were on probation in Burley. And, you know, if you failed a a drug test while on probation or something, I'm sure if you were like, I ate a poppy seed muffin. They ain't gonna believe that.

They're just gonna lock you up. So this should probably be seriously looked into. They need to fix these things up. Yeah. Pennsylvania woman tested positive for opioids after eating a pasta salad, and then the police officer yelled at her, stop crying.

Her baby was in foster care for 3 months. If these tests aren't accurate, that's pretty crazy. They need to do some things to fix that. That that's pretty frightening. You know, you're you're dealing with, acid reflux, and you take some Zantac.

Zantac. Yeah. That can lead to you having a false positive. There's all kinds like I said, look this article up. It's, it's new.

I mean, I'm sure there are articles like this from over the years, but can you imagine getting your baby taken away because you took, you know, just some over the counter medication? A little bit of cold meds. I had COVID, and I took some Sudafed, then they locked me up for meth. Bad news. Be careful what you take, I guess.

Need to if you're dealing with sickness, I guess, just pull yourself up by your bootstraps and deal with it. Alright. Freak news powered by Greasemonkey voted Idaho's best oil change. We'll be back. It's the Victor Wilt Show.

I was looking at a thread called what is something that is extremely inappropriate but kids still watch it without parents' permission or it is marketed towards kids. Alright. I'm not trying to ruin good times for you kids, but I'm gonna let your parents know all of the naughty things you could be watching because I see politicians trying to address, you know, harmful material ending up in the hands of children. And do you see him shutting down the cell phone industry? No.

Of course not. Sorry. As I'm sure you know if you've listened to this show a long time, I am a book fanatic. I'm a book collector and book banning and book burning really irritates me. It is super annoying.

Alright. What our libraries have to go through here in Idaho right now is annoying to me. You as a parent need to take some responsibility for what your kids are getting into. You know, somebody shouldn't have to worry about being fined because you're not keeping track of the material your kids are reading or watching. Alright?

And, yeah, I don't see mass calls to shut down YouTube. Let's check out things that people on the Internet think are inappropriate, but kids are still watching. And maybe some of these you parents haven't thought about before, or maybe these are overreactions, and I'll cast my judgment upon them. The entirety of social media. If your kids are using social media of any sort, whether that be Facebook, Instagram, especially Twitter.

Jeez. I've seen some wild things on there. TikTok. Any of these platforms. I guarantee they are encountering all kinds of horrific material.

K? I've been on Facebook, and I've seen straight up adult material pop up on my feed. I've been on Twitter and seen straight up adult material pop up on my feed, not from pages that I even follow. It just ended up in my feed. Alright?

And I'm like, woah. Back in the day, yeah. You had to show ID at certain types of stores to walk in and even get access to that type of material that you still had to bring home to look at. Yeah. The entirety of social media.

Simply the comment section of a local news article, you are going to see things way worse than you could possibly imagine. Alright? And as a parent, it's gonna be pretty difficult to monitor every single little post that your child is reading on social media. You know, you might be able to pick up a book and read through it and go, okay. Yeah.

This is good. This one isn't. You're not gonna have that kind of luck with social media. K? Social media is a cesspool of vile material.

I was scrolling the Idaho subreddit the other day and saw just straight up, again, adult material that was it showed everything. I was like, what what is happening? I'm trying to do my job here. This can't be popping up on my computer screen. This is the Idaho Subreddit.

Alright. Let's see. What what else do we have here? Social media should be obvious, but, I don't think a lot of people think about it. It's kinda like when I first started taking a look at the YouTube channels my kids were watching.

Like, what what is this? Yeah. Even if you do everything you can to put parental controls and things on sites like YouTube, you're you're still not gonna catch everything. Alright? Let's see here.

People are talking about shows that should be obvious, like South Park and Family Guy. I I think this article or post should be more about things that people are not really thinking of, you know, like potentially YouTube or social media. I mean, jeez, watching just music videos alone, sometimes I'm like, oh. Better turn that one off in the studio. Yikes.

That's a that's gonna get me in trouble. Yeah. TikTok. TikTok's vile. What is has been hotel?

Never heard of this. Let me Google it up here. A lot of people talking about it. Must be an adult cartoon. It's a cartoon.

I don't know what it what it's rated. It doesn't say it must be pretty bad though. Must be pretty bad if people are like, yeah. Kids are watching it and they shouldn't be. Has been hotel.

Never even heard of it. Oh, available on the a 24 app? I might have to check it out. If it's a 24 related, might be pretty good. Let's go to the phones here.

K Bear, you're live on the show. Please keep that in mind. Who's this? Sweet. It's Anthony Reader.

What's that? Anthony Reeder. Oh, Anthony. What's up, man? What's on your mind?

Yes. I was just gonna let you know I'd rather have my kid walk to the South Park and Family Guy than I'd play anything on YouTube. Do you know what? I have seen way worse material on YouTube than I have on, South Park for sure. And South Park generally has some type of a message to the program.

Now not always, sometimes it's just ludicrous and over the top and it can certainly be extremely vile, but there there may be an, you know, intelligent message to what's going on. I've just seen straight up hate and violence on YouTube. Yep. For sure. Yeah.

You're right, man. You're right. Not saying everybody should be letting their kids watch South Park. You know, just again, this all comes down to it all comes down to be a parent and take responsibility. I think people have gotten too comfortable with, placing blame on everybody else because they, you know, drop the ball when it comes to parenting.

As someone who's raised kids, I've dropped the ball parenting many times, but you gotta take responsibility for it. You can't go, oh, it's Stephen King's fault. You know? Exactly. Yeah.

I agree with that. Well, appreciate the call, Anthony. I hope you have a good one, man. Take care. You as well.

Peace. And, you know, when it comes down to ultimately this type of, you know, mature material, like violent video games or books by Stephen King, Every person is different. K? And just because somebody's into that kind of thing doesn't mean they're gonna end up being a complete, maniac. I started reading Stephen King when I was very, very young.

And you know where I got my first Stephen King book? Off the bookshelf at my my parents', the bookshelf in my parents' basement, and I had lots of friends. Yep. Most people aren't looking around to see what what books kids are picking up and flipping through. You could read much more horrific material in an encyclopedia than most novels that, people raise in a ruckus about.

I don't know. I read horrific Stephen King novels. Some of his worst, like, he stopped publishing the book rage. Talked about that book recently. I read that book when I was really really young.

It's in the Bachman books. And, you know, depending on who you ask, maybe I did or didn't turn out fine. But I'm pretty sure I turned out fine. I watched horror movies. I played violent video games.

Most people know the difference between the real world and fantasy. But, anyway, be a parent is what this ultimately comes down to. I don't want politicians telling me what is appropriate and what is inappropriate. K? I my opinion on what my kids could watch in their early teens or read might be very different from yours, and that should be my right as a parent to to decide.

Right? Sorry. I've I've I've just had it with these people trying to, tell us what to do. Yeah. You you live your life.

Let me live mine, politician. K? Alright? Just because you think things are a certain way doesn't mean everybody does. Back off, mind your business, and, leave me alone.

It was funny. I was looking at a list of Stephen King books at Florida banned, and I'm like, wow. I read so many of those when I was, like, 12. Oh, you know? No wonder I ended up just being such a scourge upon the community of East Idaho.

The old man's back. Jay Davis in the house. What's up? Old, but I definitely look better than you. I don't know, man.

I'm looking pretty nice today. My beard is pretty fantastic. Hey, I haven't shaved for a few days. Look at that stubble. Stubble's like the sign Stubble too, but it's like 2 or 3 inches long.

Yeah. Yeah. But stubble's the sign of a working man. You know, I've been too busy to shave out there. Yeah.

Look at these hands. Look at the calluses on them. Right. My beard's long enough now, you've probably never experienced this, that I'm a stomach sleeper. So when I sleep, it starts pulling one of my lips down, and then I start waking up in a big pile of drool.

Oh, excellent. Excellent. Remember me telling you about my corona beard? Well, I was I remember your corona beard. It was long enough.

It was almost wizard status. It started getting stuck in the armpit when I was sleeping. Now that's Getting close again. Getting close again. Winter is coming, so you gotta do what you can to stay warm.

So I haven't shaved my head for a bit. The days have been a little bit cooler as of late. Finally turned the AC off at at my house for the last few days. That was that was nice. I might save a couple bucks.

Ugh. Stupid electric bills. Anyway, could be worse. Could be worse. So, I gotta tell you, man.

Today is a very cruddy slow news day, and I have not been enjoying myself. Have you heard of anything stupid happening recently that I can share with the listeners? Plenty, but can I share? Yeah. See, that's the thing.

That's the thing. There's all kinds of stupid you. There's plenty of stupid happening right there. I know, but I've already run out of my own stupid, you know? Most of my stupid, I can't share.

And I've got lots of that too. Lots of old school stupid. I've I've thought a bit about that recently. Like, man, that would be a funny story to tell on air. Mhmm.

But no. No. Better not. I gotta keep, gotta keep my image, You know? Right.

That's a fine, outstanding member of the community. As you say it with quotation marks. I didn't say that you did it. You did it. Come on, Jade.

I'm universally beloved by the East Idaho community. Nobody around here dislikes me because I've never done anything to aggravate anyone. Right. All I do is spread sunshine and rainbows every morning. It's not like I ever complain or raise ruckus.

There was a there was a name a couple years back. We could say the first name. Britt. Oh. There there that that Britt person.

They didn't look they didn't They didn't like either one of us. No. Turns out they were fake. I mean, they were a real person. They were a real fake person.

Not a very sneaky guy. No. No. Come on. Me and Jade know how to use computers.

K? If you're going to try to pull a scam on us, you gotta you gotta really do better than that. It might be a little more difficult now with AI, though. You can't just you can't just go steal somebody's photo and rename them. What you could do is you gotta make a fake person with an AI photo, and then, you know, you could get a fake voice and everything.

You could really be a piece of crap right now if you wanted when it comes to like, say, you know somebody who worked at, Fast Food Place or something that made you mad where there's not gonna be a a deep investigation into a complaint that rolls in. AI voice, phone call, boom. You're gonna ruin people's lives. Sorry. I'm not trying to give people ideas here.

These are the type of horrifying things that I think about. Same. That's why, you know, we we need to put our foots down as a society. Our foots Our foots. Put our foots down.

With our pants around our foots. Put our foots around our pants. And I think all complaints should have to be face to face in person. Gotta know it's a real person. I agree with that.

Yeah. Because it's it's just getting too crazy out there. Too crazy. I mean, I could call somewhere and use my best country radio, boy. My name is Don't don't forget your parka.

I it's getting cold out there. My name is d over. D over. So well, I mean, you helped me do a break, Jade, so I wanna thank you for that. And, let's play some some heavy metal.

It's the Victor Wilt Show. Hey, let's talk about prizes. Let's talk about free stuff. We got some good free stuff up for grabs right now. You like live music?

Yeah. You like live shows? You like wage war era? What do you think about throwdown? Throwdown?

Thrown. Throwdown is a very different band. Sir, I don't have my notes in front of me. What you should do is go to the KhabAir app, fire it up, and then sign up to win tickets to see Wage War era, throne, and that other band that I should know who it is that I can't think of because oh, it's Fame on Fire. What's wrong with me?

And I did remember that prior to getting my notes up. Notes are up now. Let's check it out here. Because I think it's October 18th. What up, Peaches?

You want me to put this box your way? What? Oh, yeah. That box has all the information I need on it right away. You can see the 4th band name that we offered meet and greets already for.

I can't I can't read that band name in this, level of life. It's a vision test. Yeah. My I I'm getting old, peaches. All I can read from here is glasses now.

Now we got Wage War Wage War and Era. And the rest, I cannot read, but I do know it's throne and, fame on fire. So, anyway, if you wanna win some free tickets for their show October 18th at the complex in Salt Lake, sign up in the k Bear and alt apps that easy. Just once per app though. Once per app, please.

We're gonna delete your extra entries if you sign up more than once per app. So Jade and I were talking yesterday about it making a social media video of me basically being like this, when you first started a new job that you're training video Yeah. To be like, hey, guys. This is how you sign up for a contest properly. And then just be like this be like this entire smart That's a good idea, peaches.

You should do it. Yeah. Now We need to have that. Together. Piece of cake.

We have the green screen. Right? Well, you wouldn't even need to use the green screen. Point to it and be like, you see this right here? Yeah.

I that'd take more work. What I was gonna say is you just do it in OBS and, you know, you you have a small peaches. Small peaches. Okay. And then, you know, the big screen show in the app, and you you point on that.

And you just watch yourself on the screen. Be like, look. Right? I guess Did you see the menu? We might need the green screen actually.

That's not the green screen. Because it's like, hey, you see this menu? Because I've I've it's like I've dealt with a lot of old people. I don't know where the wage war button is. You put the do you see the menu right there?

Let's see that. I'm gonna start requiring you to do weather too, peaches, where you stand in front of the map. You do it. I'm faking a southern accent the entire time. You have to.

If you're a weather man in East Idaho, you have to talk around. Marshall, Dave, we got ourselves a cool one. That's right. Peaches, what's the weather forecast for today? Let's see here.

I hadn't looked at it because it's just been rainy and cruddy. I think it's supposed to get nice again, though. I think it's supposed to be, like, perfect seventies. No. It's 64.

Today? 560 4, low of 47. What about tomorrow? The rest of the week is, low 70. 71, 73, 72.

And that is perfection. What? Next Wednesday, 78. 78? And then we go back down to 65.

Alright. I guess I'm not taking out the air conditioning quite yet. Not quite yet. I turned my heater on yesterday for the first time in a long time. I almost did when I wasn't feeling well, but instead, I got a blanket.

And then I held a kitten. You know, if you have a blanket and a kitten, that that's how you beat the cold. Who'd you hold, Lucy? Lucy. Okay.

Yes. I I need to see her again. I hold them both. I hold them both, but she she's getting to be about full cat size now. Yeah.

I need to see her again. I wanna play her 3. She's big. It was fun. Yeah.

She's she's a good girl. She's a good girl. Anyway, sign up and win some tickets to see wage war, era throne, fame on fire. We're gonna draw winners on Friday, so you need to get in on this now. Speaking of toxic, Peach is in studio.

What's up? Hey. I'm not Jay Davis. Come on. You're both toxic.

You both stink. You you're you're the fart kings of the studio. And I tell you, yesterday, that bathroom was toxic when I walked in there. Yeah. I don't wanna hear about it.

I'm glad I missed out on whatever that was, but what's up? Speaking of toxic, you and your family, you you were How dare you call my family toxic? Completely different from, like, your family members. Like, you don't you never watched sports, never really cared for sports. I mean I've noticed, like, your siblings and your mom really like football.

Oh, yeah. They love football. Like football. My brother was at the, niner's game. Yeah.

Niners game the other day in Minnesota. I have the Niners, tight end on my fantasy team, George Kittle. He's awesome. Right on. Oh, good for me.

But Oh, good for you. Yeah. Did you see the Green Bay Packers Center, what he did last game? What do you think, Peach? Is there anything else I thought?

Story. It wasn't anything sports related. So No. I didn't. He ended up throwing up on the ball in the middle of the game.

And he said, you know what? Instead of the game was just went on. He's like, instead of spiking or chucking this to the quarterback, I'm just going to carry it. I'm gonna take the ball, hold it, and run with it towards the I would have spiked it to the quarterback. So the coach was all confused as to why the center and usually the centers in football are you know Jason Kelsey you know him of course.

Yeah, I mean they They're tall they're a little bit taller than most people. Kinda big. Really big. And they just, like, block people. Yeah.

They block the they block the Try to keep the quarterback safe. Yeah. Exactly. Yeah. So, but he just ran with the ball and the coach was all confused.

And it is funny watching these, these, recent videos of the NFL because, for some reason, a lot of these players are throwing up more than usual. And there was one guy there was one guy that used it as an intimidation tactic. I watched this video of 1 football player looking at the other team and then nodding at the other team. Are they, you know, just drinking a bunch of, like, oil and crap beforehand something that just makes you nauseated? Like, chugging a gallon of milk before the game?

I'm more so thinking if you're built like that and you're having to run those speeds, do, like, that level of, you know, of of that type of sport Yeah. And with all that weight on you, it's gonna be bad for your body. Probably. Right. I mean, most of those guys are pretty broken down after they're done with their NFL career, kinda like professional wrestlers.

Oh, yeah. You know, you're you're just, I mean, thankfully, the NFL at least pays people really well, unlike WWE, you know, unless you're a big superstar. There's a few that make quite a lot. A few. But, you know, if you've watched any of the documentaries about wrestling I'm very excited for that documentary.

Mister mister McMahon coming out September 25th. I haven't seen the trailer yet. You told me about it. They they mentioned Chris Benoit, so I'm assuming it's gonna get real dark. Well, yeah, it doesn't get much darker than the, Chris Benoit story.

But remember, like, back when that happened, like, that was, like, saying Voldemort in the Harry Potter universe. It's like you can't say that at all. Yeah. It, it was a really sad story. Oh, yeah.

A really sad story. I remember when it happened. Oh, I remember too because my brother, he's a big wrestling fan as well, and, he was he was pretty upset about it. And I think I got in a fight with him about it because I was like, that guy killed his family, Jake. You know?

And years later when I really read it I mean, it's still horrible, obviously, you know, what happened to his family and things like that. But when you learn about what he was going through and the substance abuse and the steroids and things like that, It's a story that should be out there a lot more openly. Because I saw a, video on YouTube the other day where they were at, some gym or something, and they were asking weightlifters, you know, do you use steroids? And the majority of them openly admitted to it. Oh, yeah.

Yeah. Lot of them are. And the the things that I can do remember Tim from as I lay dying? His, snapping and deciding, I'm gonna go ahead and hire a hit man. It's all, you know, this just crazy disillusion that was, you know, pretty much attributed to steroid usage as far as I recall.

Mhmm. I don't know. It's I I think it's good for these type of documentaries to get out there because there's a lot of, unspoken stuff that doesn't get talked about in the world of sports and the the abuse these athletes take. They need to fix these things, and it might make it a little bit less, of a spectacle, you know, like professional wrestlers with steroids. Those old stories are crazy, but there's a reason those guys look like they were bursting out of their own skin.

Well, yeah. And you you see a lot of bodybuilders, they don't breathe properly. You see a lot of them who are just overly muscular, but they're like, okay, guys. I just did bench press. You're like, you just did bench press.

You're not running them There's gotta put some type of I would I mean, I'm no doctor or anybody listening. I would think that much muscle mass has gotta create some pressure on, like, internal organs and things like that. Well, they said, like I I was watching some clip of I forgot what podcast it was, but they're talking about Mike Tyson's neck. Yeah. Because it was, like, 20 inches in circumference or something like that.

Yeah. He was in his prime. And if he ever choked on food, it would be impossible to get that out of there because there's so much muscle around that area. I I would imagine. What what about somebody's choking and they're just built, you know, just doing the Heimlich?

Does that work on really muscular people? I'm not sure. I don't know either. I mean, you'd think looking at this physique. I mean, well You can fight Mike Tyson in his prime.

Hey. I'll take a Mike Tyson. Is Mike Tyson gonna fight Jake Paul? Jake Paul? Yeah.

I think it's going to Netflix, in November. What what happened? Why did it get pushed back? Did Mike Tyson get sick? He had some medical thing happen to him that that I I forgot what it was, but, I yeah.

I I it seemed almost planned where it was like, oh, right before the fight, Mike's sick or something like that to elongate it even more. Yeah. Could could be. Build up a little bit of extra hype. Maybe they didn't get enough sponsors on board yet for Netflix to make their money back.

And it's it's all gonna be just a staged fight, I'm assuming. Just because Every one of those big fights that has, you know, Jake Paul or whichever Paul take on one of these you know, like, didn't he fight Mayweather? Yeah. Yeah. Like And he fought Tommy Fury who's also a boxer too.

I mean, when I watched some of those, I was like, these guys are not really trying. You know? Mayweather is one of the most legendary boxers of all time. Yeah. Not the biggest fan of him as a person, but he Yeah.

But he He's he's a legendary boxer for sure. Like, the results of those fights seemed yeah. I I'm glad I didn't pay for a pay per view. That's all I'll say. I remember when he did something with the big show on WWE, and I was so hoping the big show would just, like, squash the guy.

Yeah. But it was all scripted, of course, back then. I'm like, do it. It tossed by the rain. Yeah.

Yeah. I is wrestling still, like, you know I I watched any of it for a long time, so I don't even know who the big stars are now. Well, it's still big. They're they're moving it to Netflix, early part of next year. So that WWE Network's going away?

I think all that stuff was on Hulu. I think it was on Peacock for a little while there too. I forgot what they've moved so much. Yeah. They're selling it.

When it was on Spike TV. That's what I watched it on, with Spike TV. Monday night Raw. Spike TV. It's all stuff men like, you know.

That's right. Mansers. Yeah. The Mansers. Mansers is the most absurd TV show.

I would be nervous playing clips from Mansers. I'd pull up something on YouTube, but I'd be nervous playing that on the radio. Because there's some weird shows coming up. That show would not fly today, and it it was even kinda awkward to watch back then. Look at the chicks.

Yeah. Like, dude, it's not Do you remember MTV's Next? I don't remember Next. That that those clips are going online again and it's pretty funny what they used to say. Some of the old shows, man.

Early 2000's TV was probably the craziest. I I think so. Everything was completely unhinged. Spike TV, man. Thousand ways to die.

I'm hoping that this documentary for mister McMahon goes into the early 2000 stuff that he said on TV, stuff he made wrestlers do. Well, like I told you, I listened to a podcast called behind the well, I don't know if it's not an FCC violation word, but it's a jade pucker word. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Behind the b, but it's not the, you know, the female dog.

The other word, like, you know? I can write it down if you want to. You know, it's a it's a 8 letter word. I I don't know. Oh, yeah.

Behind the blank. People who are just pieces of pieces of crap. I know what you mean. And it it was like a 4 part series on Vince McMahon, and it was crazy. A lot of the stuff in there, I had no I mean, even just the way Vince destroyed all of his competitors to form the WWF.

Mhmm. He is a ruthless, terrible businessman. He is a real piece of crap. So shocked he didn't go to the zoo and start, like, shooting animals or something because it's like the WWF or the World Wildlife Federation Oh. That took that name.

I'm shocked he didn't go to the zoo. My name. Screaming at people. He he did, but the thing is that I've always thought, like, seeing him, like, when the first time I ever saw him, I'm like, this guy looks like a complete piece of crap, you know? Yeah.

He's got that look. He looks like he's just that guy who'll underpay you, take all the money Yeah. There's treat you like garbage. There's a lot of guys like that where I just go, who would want who likes these people? Yeah.

Like, you can tell they would be awful to hang out with. It was it's really funny with, like, when all the wrestlers were, like, downtrodden when he came back after his absence, every everybody was enjoying Triple H in charge. That was And he left again, and then all of a sudden, you know, and morale's up again. I was gonna show you something. I I got myself I ordered a yard decoration, and I wanted to know How'd you get this from mister McMahon talk?

I don't know. You were just you reminded me of people who make people mad. Oh. And so I ordered this yard decoration that I'm gonna put up along with my Halloween decorations whenever it shows up. Do you think this is gonna make people mad?

I ordered it. I I I'm just you better watch out for your stuff. I got cameras at my house. Yeah. But I'm just saying, like It doesn't say anything offensive.

It doesn't, but at the same time, like It's cute, isn't it? I I find it fun. If I could get that as a big flag, I would fly it from my chimney because I have Oh, I thought you were gonna say your truck. Well, the truck too. I mean, my truck, I need to get going where I need to get going.

I don't need anybody slashing my tires, but I got cameras at my house. And if you touch my yard decorations, that's vandalism. And I'm watching my neighbors all have cameras too. I live in a cul de sac with old people. They're always watching.

Yeah. Yeah. You ain't gonna get away with, touching my yard decorations. I I wanted to install a Ring doorbell onto my front door, but I'm like, nobody ever sees my front door. Nobody really knows what my front door is unless I show them.

Yeah. Is it just you have one door. Right? Yeah. Yeah.

But it's a weird place. You probably don't need to worry too much. You know, I'm on that terrible side of town. Oh, yeah. The ghetto.

The rough part of town. But there are there are cops in my street more than often. Your street does have a reputation. Yeah. I'll I'll give it that, you know, which is weird because it's right by my house.

It seemed like a pretty tame area to me. And like I said, that road, I would still walk down that road at any time of night. Oh, I walk it at, like, 9 PM with my headphones in. Nobody's bothering me. No.

It it you know, it's just for whatever reason the road that makes the news. So anyway, I know that was, I I just been meaning to show you that. And for some reason, it popped in my head. I was like, oh, before I forget I'm on Facebook saying, what do you think of my new lawn decorating? Well, what I'm gonna do, I've already got that part planned.

Okay. Because I've gotta post my yard decorations, but I'll wait. I'll put up all the Halloween stuff and then I'll post, check out my Halloween decorations and that'll just be part of it. Ah, I like it. I I just figured I got it.

Right. I I've never, put up that kind of yard decoration. So this year is the year Gonna put it up there. It's just a picture of a kitty. I like it.

Thanks, peaches. National Cheeseburger Day. Talked about it early this morning because nothing better to start your day 6 AM than dreaming of a delicious cheeseburger, but I blocked it out of my mind till I ran out of content. I was like, okay. Well, let's just talk about burgers again.

Now I posted in the k Bear 101 Idaho Rocket Metal Group. For those of you who aren't listening locally, I'm sorry. It's a post and a topic based on local burgers. You know, if you wanna let me know the best burger where you're at, you can jump in the group. Let us know where it is.

Because next time I'm visiting there, I'll pick 1 up. But I'm always curious what people think are the best burgers around here because I've got my opinions. I've given them out many times. Some of my favorites if you're looking to celebrate National Cheeseburger Day. You've got bacon and blue in Idaho Falls.

They're in my hood. They're top of the line. Top of the line. Get yourself a stuffed bacon and blue and you will thank me. Alright?

Unless you don't like blue cheese, then get something else. But if you're down with the blue cheeseburger Oh, it's so good. Sully's, top notch. Top notch gourmet burgers. We got Scotties, which is more in the fast food realm, but still top notch burgers.

Get that pastrami burger. Blue Wave, always good. Looking through the list of people's responses online, however, has gotten me a little bit excited because people are naming some that I have not tried. And I think for national cheeseburger day today, I'm gonna have to go try something new. So, Dean mentioned AJ's, which AJ's is, right over there by the Roadhouse, and the Roadhouse has a great burger as well.

AJ's, a long time venue, but they've, gone through a variety of ownerships now known as AJ's. Every time I've been there, no matter who's running the place, they had really good food, so I might have to hit up AJ's for a burger in Idaho Falls. Zach mentioned the rusty lantern in Yukon. I've heard they're really good too. And Brian Lee mentioned Hardee's, not like the Carl's Junior, you know, sister restaurant or whatever.

Hardee's with a y, that's out by my house. And I've always heard they had excellent burgers, but haven't been out there either. So might have to try one of those places out. Some of the other popular answers, Pickles in Arco. Peaches and I and Lou Brutus went to pickles.

Really good. I mean, pickles is pretty legendary. If you're in Arco, you gotta stop at pickles. Blue Heeler. Dustin mentioned that.

It's, a Pocatello bar. I think I've had a Blue Heeler burger. I'm not sure. But I I think I have, and they're supposed to be really good. We got people mentioning the blue wave.

Earlier, I did mention Dunk Burger in Pocatello, which, few people have responded with. Now I'm not sure when Dunk Burger is open. It's a a food truck. And, I've only been able to catch it one time, but they give you a big cup of cheese with your burger, and the Dunk Burger is really good. Now somebody mentioned Heart Attack Express.

Shame upon me. I had not heard of this place. I was like, isn't that in Vegas? But I think that's the Heart Attack Grill. There is a food truck in Pocatello called the Heart Attack Express.

I mean, for someone who's, very paranoid about their health, the name scares me, but looking at the menu, they've got, like, a very metal looking menu. And if they've got one of the best burgers around, oh, I might have to give it a whirl. They've got a Facebook page. So if you wanna, find out where they're gonna be, you can find them there. Oh, did we just get a new comment from Daniel?

Let's see what he said. Mandarin House and Pokey. Okay. I have not had a burger at Mandarin House, but I've talked about how I've had burgers at places like Jalisco's. You know, it's a Mexican restaurant.

You wouldn't think it'd be a place to pick up a burger, but Jalisco's has an excellent burger. Generally, Mexican restaurants, if you see a burger on the menu, you should try it. You should try I've never had a bad burger at a Mexican restaurant. They make them killer. So Mandarin house?

Asian restaurant, I might have to give it a whirl. Might have to swing over to Mandarin House one of these days and pick up a burger. They might be like, what? What? Kinda hard to turn down the general sows, but, I would like to encourage you to celebrate national cheeseburger day.

And try something new. Try something new. Lots of great places to get burgers around here. Snake bite, of course, is a local classic. And if you just wanna go with something fast, you always got, like, Freddy's.

They've got this good, grilled cheeseburger right now. Culver's is always good. I as you as you can probably tell, kinda into burgers. So I'm certainly down to celebrate national cheeseburger day. Trying to build up an appetite.

My appetite has been very wonky since last week. Yeah. Weird too because while I was sick with COVID, I was very hungry. And this has happened all the other times I got COVID too. Very hungry while I was really getting beaten down with it.

And then afterward, I'm like, oh, I just don't wanna eat anything. And it really sucks because I I enjoy having an appetite, but I could I could lose a few lose a few pounds. So it's probably okay. But I'm gonna pack a few on today with national cheeseburger day. So, anyway, leave me some recommendations.

So far, I'm looking at I guess I gotta try Hardee's or the rusty lantern or get myself down to, Pocatello to to give something a whirl. Oh, people mentioned burger theory. They're real good. And of course, the old classic big Judds in Archer. I don't know if I'm filling up to, driving to Rexburg, but, maybe.

One thing that I am always hungry for is metal. And when you team up, 2 of the greatest bands of all time, Mastodon and Lamb of God oh, man. Sorry. I'm a little excited because I got sort of good news. Just sort of.

Lot of discussion in recent days about Grand Theft Auto 6. Will it be delayed? Will it really come in 2025? There was a developer who's like, yeah, probably not actually gonna be happening. It's gonna be coming 2026.

Well, apparently, there was a meeting with, execs at take 2, and they have confirmed August or sorry, not August, but autumn 2025 still on track for GTA 6 peaches. Good. Yeah. Finally, something on time. So we can help.

So we can help. But, you know, having just replayed Grand Theft Auto 5, which is a masterpiece Oh, I played it too. I'm, as excited as I could possibly be for GTA 6 because, while playing GTA 5, you know, which is an old game, it's like 11 years old, Having played Red Dead 2 so many times and looking at, you know, some of the mechanics that they added to Red Dead 2 and, like, your interactions with NPCs, you know, it's just so much more of an in-depth game than Grand Theft Auto 5. To imagine them taking all of the best stuff they added to Red Dead 2, implementing that in GTA 6, and then who knows what else new. I think this game's gonna be crazy.

Just crazy good. And by the way, Peach, as as someone who I know is a radio and video game nerd, are you familiar with comedian, Dan Sowder? I've heard that name before. He's he's really good. He used to be a radio guy, in Tucson back in the day.

Here's something I wanted to point out you real quick. Okay. Rockstar confirmed they reportedly hired a team of 20 engineers to work exclusively on GTA 6's water physics. Supposedly, there's gonna be surfing in the game. Right.

There's gonna be a whole bunch of stuff. I saw that. And I was like, that's pretty wild to have 20 people. I like that. How do you put that on your resume as one of those engineers, like, yeah, I worked on GTA six's water in the ocean in that game?

That's all me. Have have you ever watched the guy on YouTube who he launched a channel within the last 6 months or so. He was a a rock star developer, worked on Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead 2. Oh, is he leaking secrets on YouTube? No.

No. He's just He's doing YouTube thumbnails of, like No. He's you wouldn't believe what I did for GTA 5. No. No.

He he shows some of the things he did in the games and then he, you know, kinda looks into newer video games, gives his gives his reviews. Like what you do with the rock radio program. Yeah. Yeah. Kinda like I've been doing with some of my music video reviews and things if you wanna check those out.

K Bear 101 RMG on YouTube, please give us a follow. But, back to Dan Soder. Yeah. Sorry about that. So he's, you know, he's a comic.

Mhmm. I think is what he's best known for. Really funny too. But he's an old radio guy. He's friends with Laszlo who was the guy who he was a writer and did all of the audio.

I've always wanted to meet him. I I would love to meet Laszlo. Can we somehow try to get in contact with him? I shot him a message yesterday after watching this Did you? Interview he did with, Dan Sower because Laszlo, he's one of these guys that I mean, his influence so many people and they have no idea who he is because him and, Dan Houser, they were like the 2 main writers for basically every Rockstar game from Grand Theft Auto 3.

So Bully, Max Payne, both Red Dead games All the Grand Rockstar games. Yeah. Of the GTA games, but they've formed a new company. They both left Rockstar, and they're currently working on a new video game. And let me see if I can pull up the to kind of kick start things, they created a, kinda like an audio story.

It's available everywhere podcasts can be found. Let me see if it, I can't believe I can't remember the name of it. Dang it. Anyhow, I'm sure if you Google up, you know, Laszlo, l a z l a l l a z l o w. And Dan Houser, new project.

You can get the info, but I I haven't started listening to you to it yet, but it's like a 12 part thing. Laszlo did all of the, radio stations on all the GTA games. Also, he was the guy who recorded and Absurd Ventures. Absurd Ventures. That's their new company.

Sorry. I saw that. No. I'm I'm glad you pulled it up. But he also, coached and directed all the actors in all of these games as well.

So they threw together. It's I think it's kinda like a I don't wanna say audiobook because that's not right. It's a it's a story in podcast form that's, you know, fully acted out. They've got actors and, you know, it's fully produced. If you've played any kind of, you know, rock star game in the last 20 years, you know, Laszlo directed the the audio end of that stuff.

So I'm Did did he write all those ideas for those GTA 5 commercials of, like, medicinal cocaine cards? A lot of them. A lot of them. Yeah. And, he just it's a really cool interview he did about an hour with Dan Soder and, you know, he only talks a little bit about this new project, but he talked a lot about his years at Rock star and, you know, being in radio and things like that.

I'm I'm sure you'd find it an interesting interview, and he just seems like a totally chill, cool dude. I would love to meet him. So I I found one of his social media pages and just sent him a, hey, you know, radio guy, long time fan, enjoyed the interview with, Dan Soter. I saw the game that Keep up the good work. I I didn't say, hey.

I wanna interview. You know, I just tried to, you know, get a get a little bit of chat going. The game that him and Dan Houser are doing is called A Better Paradise. Yes. That's the, 12 part audio series that you can I I followed it on Spotify?

It's a new sci fi universe the studio is creating? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And so this is kinda step 1.

They're working on a game for it right now. And it's interesting because those 2 guys, the guys who are, like, the main two guys for all of these other games, they're not working on GTA 6. They were, you know, in the initial stages but are not now. So I wonder how that's going to be. I I do too.

Do you think that because I was talking about it with my friends in GTA 5, and I think I mentioned it, like, once or twice on the year how in GTA 5, even the super cars, their radios inside the car, if you go in 1st person mode, it's like peak 2013 radios Yeah. Consoles. I wonder if for GTA 6, considering that now it's 2024, about to be 2025 when the game comes out, that are are some of these nicer cars in the game going to have that touch screen dashboard? Oh, I'm sure. Are we gonna get the, actually, the Cybertruck in the game or something like that?

I'm sure they will. It would one of the coolest parts about that interview was, you know, when Laszlo started working for Rockstar, he was just doing the the radio production and imaging for all the radio stations. So That's cool. He hadn't even seen GTA 3 when it came out, and you you were like a little kid when GTA 3 came out. Yeah.

Let me check that year when that came out. I mean, that game when it came out, Peaches, was such a game changer. If you weren't around at the time, you can't really understand. But Laszlo, he talks about when you first start playing the game. I was 5.

You were 5 years old. Wow. October 22, 2001. 5. Wow.

So one of the you know, as you start playing GTA 5 or 3, one of the very first things that happens is, like, it cuts to the radio station is all head radio, blah blah blah. And so Laszlo gets the game and he's like, alright. Let's check this game out. And one of the first things that he gets is all of his work and he had no idea how it was implemented and he just talked about how it just blew his mind and how cool it was because he had no idea how what he did would be implemented in the game. Isn't there a story of his, like, no, like, his entire thing in GTA, there's a story that that you can follow.

Like, GTA 3, he's a DJ. Right? And then in GTA 4, he's fired, but he keeps calling that same radio station as, like, hey, I'm Laszlo. I used to be on here. And then GTA 5, he's the host of fame or shame.

He's doing the TV show. Yeah. And I I know that he's done a lot of voice like, he did voices in all the games, Red Dead, all those. I can't remember the progress of his story as the Laszlo character in the GTA universe. Because Vice City is before GTA 3.

He, like, traveled back in time. It was the eighties. So Yeah. Yeah. So I don't know what the progression of the Laszlo character and I haven't played those games in so long, but I'm sure he's a jock on, San Andreas and, well, and he's on the radio on, talk radio on GTA 5.

I don't remember the name of the show. That they got a radio a hip hop radio DJ icon for Radio Los Santos, Big Boy. Yeah. He's one of the nicest dudes, and I was I was like, oh, that's Big Boy. And then they have Cara Delevingne on nonstop pop.

Yeah. Hannibal Burress on 1 I forgot it was a soul some Soul Wax, something like that. And one of the cool things about Rockstar is that, you know, basically, only I think in some of their earlier games, like Vice City, the you know, they used a few big name actors, and they moved away from that because they thought it kinda took away from the immersion in the game. So they'd hire these, you know, lesser known actors, and I I think that's can you imagine if it was, like, GTA 5 if you had Trevor with someone super well known or Michael or it it's distracting, like, when you play Vice City. All I'm picturing is, Ray Liotta Goodfellas.

Right. Yeah. Yeah. You know, it it just hearing the voice is distracting. When you walk when you play, like, Call of Duty World War 2 and Josh Duhamel is your sergeant, it's like, okay.

How how am I supposed to, like, look at this guy as a sergeant in World War 2 Yeah. And it's Josh Duhamel. Yeah. So, Rockstar, if you're listening, I'd love to be a voice in one of your games. They had they had to be an extra in red dead.

And that's another thing Laszlo talked about. He put, comic friends and, radio people into the game because he's just an old radio guy. Mhmm. You know? Hopefully, I get to meet him someday or just even talk to him for a few minutes because, I've been a huge fan of him.

He used to be on o and a all the time. Right. But you had Brendan Small. Maybe he's a connection. If yeah.

Brendan Small might be a connection. I mean, I could get ahold of somebody like Anthony Coomey or something. I I he's easy enough to get ahold of. Is he? But I think just reaching out to Laszlo directly or maybe this company.

You know, hey. I'd like to interview you about the new project. You know? That'd be cool. You know?

Yeah. Would you want you wanna do a podcast? And they might. They might. So, anyway, if you're a fan of video games, you should check out that interview with, Laszlo and Dan Soder.

They dropped a few days ago, and it it was a really good watch, just as a a radio slash video game nerd. It it was really cool. So I'm gonna get out of here, everybody. Have yourself a great rest of the day. Peaches and I will be back for the noon hour of madness and mayhem powered by Jalisco's.
