The day is done…and you want to relax. You need a place—a certain kind of place—where they know you and you know them…where you can take the edge off. A place where the lights are dim, the music swings, but it’s never too loud…and you don’t even have to tell ‘em when to make it a double…where the skirts are tight and the necklines plunge. You say, “No such place exists!” Ah, but it does…it’s the Sunset Lounge. Step inside the green door…have a seat at the bar…
It is 801 on the East Coast. It is 501 on the West Coast. It is the June 11 in the year of our lord 2026 episode, season 16 episode 48, 769 boot, and now it's doing nothing, and now it's back. 769 times you have been welcomed to the clubhouse podcast, your one stop shop for all things sports entertainment, pop culture, and pro wrestling before my camera goes out again. Welcome. And now Alex is frozen. Can you hear me, Alex? I can hear you. I do not believe he can. I Oh, he's moving. I can hear you. This is going on. This is so going well. This tablet right now. I'm trying to get everything caught up. No. I want you to close I'm I'm blaming the World Cup for all of this. Oh, jeez. It is one of those days. Do you have me? I do. Okay. You're going, you're on a little bit of a delay. I had to reboot my computer and it's just doing all the things right now. That's what they tend to do. Welcome to the show. My name is Rob. I am the executive producer of the Clubhouse podcast and, yeah, that was the thing. My thing is I have certain now I'm gone again, and now I'm back again. And I had to reboot, like, with two minutes before the show because things weren't working, and now they're maybe working again. Lord only. Selectively? Don out on assignment tonight. So that way for me is my cohost and a man that's going in and out on his own as well because technology Honestly Are you back? Honestly, I haven't gone anywhere. Everything has been running smoothly for me. I have audio. I have visual. Maybe I'm a little delayed, but everything's been running great. I think you're starting to catch up to me now. This is just weird, but we're gonna get there. Don out on assignment tonight. He sent me some stuff I'm gonna take a look at later. So, let's just dive in. Talk This thing just does not like to cooperate today. Are we back? Never left. I mean, but have I been going in and out for you is the question. No. Yeah. Your audio has cut out here and there, but you've been there the whole time. Alright. This is riveting podcasting, just so you know. Sixteen seasons in. This is we're still dealing with tech issues. Well, the tech changes. I mean, think about it. You what were you recording on? A coconut in season one? Probably. We weren't live until maybe halfway through season one maybe because we had not discovered Ustream at that when we first started. When we first started, we were just doing stuff. So, like, the first six or seven episodes of this show were audio only recorded in my studio at the old house, and I believe they were on archive.org because we didn't know what to do with them. So we just put links up to archive.org, and then uStream happened. And so we started doing that, and then the rest, as they say, is history. Speaking of history, let's talk a little bit about sports in this particular town that we live in. Even though this is local sports, I think this this is a national conversation right now. The Mavericks and the stars are both eventually moving out of the American Airlines Center to separate facilities. There's a great, episode of YDC that was recorded recently with a guy that used to write for D Magazine or the Observer, one of the two, and he talks a lot about this. And, you know, we we always say on this show that the answer to all of your questions is money, and that's really what this is. But my problem is where these facilities are going to be. Oh, god. Yeah. The It's gonna be a nightmare. In our Let me give you a clear yeah. For those of you that live here that have not heard, let me catch you up. The Mavericks are moving to the area at Valley View and 635, which involves 635 In Preston Road. For those that don't live here, this is one of the gnarliest intersections I have ever been a party to night or day day, weekday, or a weekend. It used to be the low they call it that because it used to be the location of Valley View Mall, which is right next to our Galleria. Now if you've ever seen a film that we highly recommend called Bomb City, Valley View is in the background of the climax of the film, if you will. Mhmm. For a long time, it was gonna be restaurants, and then it was gonna be condominiums. Probably still will be, if the if plans I have seen for the stars are holding up. But the stars are going to where about to be demolished, shops at Willow Bend, which is at the tollway just north of 190. Also to me, not of not the best from a infrastructure standpoint. Nope. Because the tollway tends to be on its own. Mhmm. But I've seen they some of the plans today for that. Now it's not this is gonna be three, four, five years down the road. It's gonna take a minute for all this to happen. But I understand people say the same thing about where the American Airlines Center is now. At least the American Airlines Center, there was wiggle room there. There were multiple highways. Yeah. Right. And even if you parked in a non arena parking, let's just say you parked over by House Of Blues, it was only like a three block walk. There was always plenty of parking. And if you wanted to pay more and park by the arena, you can do that. But the logistics aren't perfect, but they're better than I've seen in a lot of places. Like, you go I went to Fenway once, and I was I was like, they close off streets around Fenway just for security to get into that ballpark because it's just jammed right there. But again, there's a lot of history there. Both of these moves, like, I understand it, and I understand that people on the Fort Worth side are not real happy about it. But when you listen to this episode of YDC, economically, it makes sense given the geography of the overwhelming majority of of season ticket holders. Mhmm. That doesn't really I mean and it ends me because you think about it, the farther north you go in this town, the the money goes up. Yep. And you've already priced your fans out to begin with. So let's just keep doing that. And that makes no sense to me on any level, period, end of statement, end of list. Right. There's and which means we're gonna have more highway construction, which we're finally getting over the hump with this new HOV lane that they're putting on 06:35, which still doesn't end. It ends right at thirty, which makes no sense. Don't get me started. Alex and I used to live on that side of town. We're finally getting that back to abnormal, and now let's just do this again. And it just and that's what I have to say about that. The other thing about this is does this and I I I apologize. I don't know if Valley View Mall is actually considered Dallas or if it's a suburb because I know the Stars facility at Willow Bend is actually Plano. So does that mean that now have? I'm sorry? Stars would Stars would be, Mavericks would be considered North Dallas. Okay. So it's still okay. What I was wondering was if there were technically no more Dallas teams at all because the Cowboys are in Arlington. The Stars are gonna be in Plano. They're still gonna call them the Dallas Stars. Let let's not kid ourselves. They're still gonna use the name, and the New York Giants and the New York Jets have played in New Jersey forever. But these facilities on top of everything feels almost overkill to me because they're building the same concept in two different locations, and they're going to both be an entertainment mecca of the Metroplex? No. You're gonna wind up having redundancies, and maybe one works, one doesn't. I laughed hysterically at the Mavericks drawings that got posted because it's literally just the star, and then they put Mavericks stuff in instead. If you look at that front entryway where it has Gate a, it's the star. And if you look in the surrounding areas of both of those, hotels are few and far between. But both both constructions are supposed to include hotels. So there is that. But, again, when you look at it from an acreage standpoint Exactly. They're the footprint is It's gonna be dicey at best. I mean, we're gonna keep an eye on this. I actually read today a story, and I believe this had to do with the stars that the people that own all the the, the land in Arlington, they were willing to tear down the temple and put an arena there for the stars, which logistically would be a little bit better. But then you also run into the problem that the that the stars are definitely going to have. The mavericks will to an extent public trans spell. Okay. It's gone. It's no longer a third. Had a a rail station and drops you right there. I knew people that would actually take the rail from the exit before. They would park there, get on the rail, go one stop, and get off at the arena, which I thought was genius from a parking standpoint because you're paying $3, I think, for for the rail freight. I think the other part to look at it is when I was in Rockwall out east for those that are unfamiliar with our area, I could get on a train station there and wind up getting to the American Airlines Center. Rob was north, and he could take a separate one. Now those options don't exist. And I didn't would even have to change They won't exist. Because the green line takes take took me straight there. Yeah. I had one change. Blue to green. The only change in that area that would matter to me is I would have to change, I think, right after the arena if I wanted to go to the convention center. Mhmm. But this this is a mess, and it's It's not going to be a nightmare. And it's gonna get uglier before it gets any prettier. Mhmm. And that's part of the problem. World cup kicked off today. Mexico does get the first goal of the world cup, I think, in the seventh seventh minute. It happened fast. Did you watch any of the match? I was getting caught up on programming today. Okay. So for the very first time in the history of the World Cup, you had three red cards in the opening game. There were more red cards than goals. Yeah. Two players from South Africa got ejected. One player from Mexico got ejected, but the ref is also known to is one of the Brazilian refs that's known to be stricter. And I think that the last red card on Mexico was more like, I'm just gonna try and quell all of this. I saw I was watching the women's friendly against Brazil when there were nine red cards in the game. Like, I mean, yeah, I mean, because I was watching, and those ladies are vicious. I was thinking Oh, god. Yeah. And hair pulling in the whole nine. It takes me back to that that girl that went viral that was, like, pulling on other girls' ponytails. There there was multiple of that in college. Yeah. Yeah. There's, like, one girl that was synonymous for it. It was a five minute compilation. Oh, god. Yeah. But But to me go ahead, please. Sorry. To me, it always registers back to the Eddie Murphy bit. A guy will fight you and try to look good. A girl don't care. She gonna beat you. Oh. So it gets ugly. Very excited that the World Cup is here. Mhmm. You just follow us on social media. Alex, I also I figured out the issue where it was posting to the the show and my feed. Okay. I I it threw a switch I didn't throw. So but it should be fixed now because all of today's reviews are now also on my feed. So Yeah. You probably saw on social media, Al, Don and I both have media credentials for the fan fest. We are a very Don, went today, which is why he's on assignment because he was in Downtown Dallas. But I will be headed down there maybe this weekend. I haven't decided yet. It looks like it's a blast down there. It everything they're doing looks cool. I'll I'll give them that. Everything they're doing looks cool. If you're near an Old Navy, Old Navy does have, gear for a lot of the teams, including the the the kit shirts, which I got a couple of those, and Buc ee's also. Good old Buc ee's. But have you been following Freddie? Tell me more. Oh, please tell me you don't know about. So there is a German World Cup fan who has decided to do an American road trip and started here. Yes. Okay. The Waffle House at 1AM. Yeah. He was yeah. Yeah. He was on I believe it's the same guy that was on Just Wondering with Norm Hiscus last week. I don't if it is, that's cool, but I I didn't know that. I know he and JJ Watt are Freddie and JJ Watt are meeting up in Houston. I'm sorry. What'd you say? Are is he raising money for charity? Because this guy is raising money charity. Oh, man. That's a completely different thing. Okay. Different guy? Okay. Oh, yeah. This guy's the guy I'm thinking of the guy I'm thinking of, I think, is walking from LA to Yeah. He he he's raising money. He's doing a a charity walk. No. This is just a German football fan who has come over to The States and said, you know what? I've never been here. I'm gonna do all the things you hear about with Americans, which is how he wound up at Waffle House at 1AM. He wound up at Buc ee's and said, oh my god. This whole bleeping thing is a gas station. And it it's been really funny to see, but it's been very positive. I like that. Yes. Yeah. And it the positivity of it of people experiencing is great. Speaking of sports craziness, we've gotta talk about last night of Oh, boy. The Knicks are down 29 in the third quarter and win with a tip in with one point two seconds left. Now lead that series three to one, which now my prediction now still intact. But I heard a stat today on PTI that melted my brain. Are you ready for this? Hit me. Number of times that the Knicks have come back in the playoffs because this is this is the biggest margin in finals history that was coming back from. Yeah. The number of times that the Knicks have come back from 20 or more in the playoffs overall, five. The rest But they they've done it twice in the finals at least. There's another piece to this. Okay. The entire rest of the league combined, four. Like just let that sit first. I don't know what it is but you also have to realize there is another part of this story because Wu Tang is magic. And and Wu Tang is for the children, and we know that as we've talked about the other night. But, yeah, they show up and things go crazy. Well, everything has been going wrong since another bit of news story, and then Wu Tang plays, and New York City remembers who it is. And can I tell you Taylor Swift and the girls from Hame? Did you see the shirts they were wearing? Oh, the Stevie Nicks shirts? Yeah. Well, no. They they were all different. Oh, I only saw hers on the Stevie Nicks. Stevie's Taylor's was Stevie Nicks. The other ones had different ones, the girls from Hain. Okay. I thought one of the girls was Sandler's daughter because she had Hargitay on one side and Sandler's daughter on the other. But my favorite part about this is people trying to gatekeep fandom, which is one of my biggest pet peeves. Do you know how long Taylor Swift has been going to Knicks games as a fan of the Knicks? No idea. If you had to guess, where how long would you say? Fourteen years. You know what? You're actually close. It's eleven. So all these people that are like, oh, well, the it's like, she's been going for eleven years. You sit down and shut up. Well, and even if she hadn't, let fandom be fandom. Exactly. Like, how is it causing you physical harm? Is it causing you harm at all? Whether you agree with it or not, fandom is fandom. Yeah. You know? Here's the other part that people are like, well, why is it? It's like, remember, she was in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. There is nothing between her and New York besides Philadelphia. And let's be honest, outside of some cheesesteaks and some other things, we skip Philadelphia. The Stanley Cup finals are also tied at two apiece. Game three. Las Vegas up four nothing and give up three goals in thirty nine seconds. That was crazy. Oh my god. That broke my brain. I I just sitting there freaking out and just everything that's happened. Win in double overtime. They win in double overtime. However, dot dot dot. Yeah. You know? I mean, but this is what the playoff this is what finals are. They are stories. They are storylines. It's it's been craziness, and I've been here for all of it. Mhmm. Might be the most exciting season of sports I have been through in years, if not decades, between what's going on with the NBA finals, what's going on with the with the Stanley Cup finals, everything that's about to happen with the World Cup. You've got the the finals for the United Football League coming up on Saturday with a very exciting halftime show by fifty Cent. It the world's gone crazy. Well, it it's sports Mecca right now. It's everything you could want. Even the NFL is starting to get its feet underneath it. There's been the rookie mini camps where you're getting the hype reels, getting excited for what are we at? Two months from preseason? Yeah. We're about eight weeks, about six weeks from training camp. And what was that date we set to start doing ours? At about four weeks. Okay. Rescheduled premiere of season 17 is when we're gonna start our discussions about. We're we're we're gonna have to have a scheduling meeting off air. So getting into MLB, I got one more for you. Hit me. Last night, the Natnalls are up eight. In the eighth inning, they give up like, San Francisco was just launching balls into the next hemisphere. It was and they come back and lose. Now here's the stat that broke my brain. Thank you, Tony Kornheiser. Do you know the the streak of games until last night of teams up by eight or more in the eighth inning that that won? I do not. This breaks a 2,698 game streak last night by the Washington nationals. 2,600. That's a long time. I was literally I when he said that, I kept just kept saying the number over and over and over again. Had to get it on the run sheet. I would like, There's some stats you want. There's some stats don't. Well, much like the fact that there is a bunch of Spurs logos that are done in the Atlanta falcons method now since there was a 28 parallel there. Holy. Let us talk standings in Major League Baseball in the AL East. Mhmm. This so I tried to hook up a mouse to this other computer. It's kind of an older tablet. Mhmm. And I was like, oh, it doesn't have any USB a, so I'll just get my adapter. It only has one USB c, and that's for the charging port. The other two were video ports. That's tough. It was a gift. I'm not gonna I'm gonna figure something out. It reminds me of the Apple designs that everybody complained about of, like, you need one proprietary thing and then split it off into everything else. It's like, okay, cool. But I did some redesigning in the in the studio again. And I kinda I'm I'm for now, I kinda like where everything is. Did a lot of work over the weekend just on this particular piece. AL East, the Boston Red Sox, they are currently in the fourth place. They're 13 and a half games back. Note. Did you see the Chapman quote? I did not. So there have been some rumblings because Boston is done, and it's only June. But they asked Aroldis Chapman if he would be interested in returning to the Yankees in the closer role that he once held because that's been a weak spot for the Yankees over the last few years. And Chapman basically just bluntly responded with, they want me. The GM's gotta call and apologize. Oh, hey now. Yeah. It's like, oof. They're on a they're on a four game skid. They're 13 and a half back. That puts them three and a half back of Baltimore who right now is all over Seattle like a bad suit. Yeah. Baltimore now is a game back on Toronto. Blue jays are now nine back on both Tampa Bay and the yankees who are tied, who had a combined seven game win streak right now. And the yankees currently have a run differential of plus a 103. And I wanna acknowledge that that's without Aaron Judge of recent memory because he's been hurt. So this is gonna get worse for the rest of the AL East. In the central division, the royals, they are currently in last place. They're nine back. They're a game back of Detroit tigers or a game and a half back of Minnesota. Minnesota now six back on Cleveland. Cleveland's now a half game back on Swiss who's starting to heat up a little bit. They are currently five games above 500, and they are six and four in their last 10. I I want you to think about the fact that that team without much turnover lost a 121 games two years ago. That's it. Two years ago, and now they're in first North America game over most of the year. Yep. And it's awesome. I I love parody in sports. I love seeing these young guys coming in. Oh, man. What is it? Murakata, the third base when they signed, it's like just hitting bombs left and right. It's been awesome. They got Montgomery who might have leaped himself into the top two or three of shortstops in the majors as a rookie because he's just playing like he's not a rookie. It's it's it's incredible to watch. Law currently holding the seller in the AL West. They're nine games back. They are three and a half back of Houston, Houston, Houston. The Astros are currently three back of the homeless vagabonds. But let me tell you something about the homeless vagabonds for a minute. Have you been watching them this week? Not this week, but I know what's going on. So they're playing in the minor league ballpark in Vegas. Yeah. The Vegas area 50 ones. In the last two games Mhmm. There have been almost 20 home runs in that park. Mhmm. The air is thin and the ball flies when it's warm. Which is why they're gonna be in a dome. Yep. Defensively, they kinda have to be. But did you see the the back and forth between the owner that the fans of Oakland were not happy with and the fans of Oakland being pissed at him doing something? Go ahead. Apparently, he had redesigned uniforms on the ready to release, like actually updating the Oakland uniforms, which traditionally, we they still have the green and gold, which they've always had, but it was a really slick, like midnight black with yellow neon, and they had to change the patches to say Sacramento. And all of the Oakland fans were like, why didn't we get this? And it's like, yeah. He's wrong, but you didn't show up either. They still have the they still have the the elephant because I like the elephant. Okay. Good. And, currently That'll always be on the sleeve, I believe. Olmos Vagabonds are a game back on the Rangers. Rangers now a game and a half back on Seattle. Rangers seven and three in their last 10. Yeah. They've been playing well. Let us go to the Nash, the little thing a little thing we like to call the National League. In the NL West, the Colorado Rockies put a pin in it. San Francisco Giants currently The original league. So Giants now 15 and a half back. They are six and a half back on Arizona. Diamondbacks now a game and a half back on, San Diego, and the Dodgers now hold a seven and a half game lead in that division. Did you see this deal with Shohei last night? I did not. What happened? Shohei's seventh inning was a full on meltdown. Oh. The worst part about it was there were two called balls that should have been strikes, and he didn't challenge. Well, I don't I don't think he's allowed to challenge. I think the catcher has to. No. He can't because he said in the press conference after the game, I usually let the catcher handle that I should have. Yeah. Well and there's also another aspect to that of longtime catcher Will Smith for the Dodgers is out injured. So I wonder if there's some disconnect. Will Smith, who was an answer on Jeopardy tonight? Which one? It was two people with the same name, and it was Dodgers player and bad boy star. So That's that's pretty dismissive to that reliever that won a world series every other year for about a decade. You made jeopardy. You checked that off your list, bro. Well, that's one of those ones where it's like, if you have the most basic name of all time, you're probably gonna wind up an answer somewhere because multiples. In the central division, this division's still red hot. The the Mhmm. Cincinnati reds are three below 500, but they're nine and a half back in the division. They're two game best back of the cubs. Don's pirates are now holding a half game lead on the cubs, but they are three games behind St. Louis, and Milwaukee, who is 16 games above 500 right now, is leading that division by four games. And in the only division that matters, the NL East. Your Mets man, they're We suck. But they're trying dadgum it. Yeah. But we're we're gonna fire sale next month. I'm telling you right now. You are 15 back. You're four and a half back of the Marlins. The Marlins now a game back on the aforementioned Natinals who are two and a half back on Philly. Atlanta now holds on to an eight game lead in that division, and they are 22 games above 500 right now. Again, cautiously optimistic. Mhmm. I'm just I'm watching I'm watching the sky for that other shoe so that I can kinda just kick it out of it. Sidestep. And by the way, the the braves have a plus one fourteen right now. Now let's get to North America's favorite game show. Don Gid did give me his number on what the run differential is for the Colorado Rockies. So I without hearing his so I can go independently, I know 80 was close on it. I don't know how the Rockies have done this past week. I'm gonna say seven call it 90, negative 90. The Colorado Rockies currently twenty six and forty three. That is a three seventy seven win percentage. Mhmm. There's 17 and a half games back in the division currently. You you gotta think that playing for the Rockies right now would probably be pretty awesome outside of not winning because fans still show up. You still get paid a lot. You're in a very beautiful town, and it's nice. Get that highlight reel put together. Yeah. There's six games back on the reds right now. Okay. They're fourteen and twenty at home, twenty and twenty three on the road. So, can't stop. That's not bad. It's that Rockies phenomenon that they're always better on the road. They're four and six in their last 10. Okay. Don did give his number, and now for, like, the third time in the last year, he nails it. They are now minus 100. Well, he was gonna say it until he was right. It's the Don method. He's wrong for a month, and then it becomes right, and then he celebrates like he just pulled it out of thin air. But you know what I'm not gonna do? I'm not gonna hate on it. You know? Let's get into some TV talk right now. We wanna send our best to the friends, family, and fans of one Anthony Head who passed away this week at the age of 72. Such a phenomenal talent. Giles on Buffy was really how he came into the social consciousness. We tend to recognize Ted Lasso on this show. Do you know the connection between those, though? Go ahead. What was Giles' first name in Buffy? I do not I never watched Buffy. Couldn't tell you. It it was Rupert. That's how they got the name for Ted Lasso. See, I hear Rupert and I think Stewie. Yeah. I I know. But at that same point, his name is Rupert in Ted Lasso, and it has not been denied by Sudeikis that it's because the slip of his first name being Rupert in Buffy that whole time. So they were just like, oh, this will be a funny little Easter egg. Well, and it it that name fits that character. Oh, god. It does. And he's one half of debatedly the best scene in that series. I would call it one third just because Rebecca is involved, but that is still my favorite. Nope. That is my favorite scene in television history. You cannot tell me be curious, not judgmental is not the best scene in I will not listen. I just the last line, barbecue sauce. Well, but the the number of people I've had to explain that to is alarming. I I we just send in YouTube clips. Just go watch it. No. No. No. No. Do you know why he says barbecue sauce? Well, he talks about it in the beginning of the speech. Right. But what I'm saying is is it's a reference to bull's eye barbecue sauce from Kansas City. Yeah. Which he requests when he eats at the American. Which Yeah. So the other thing I I watched a video, and I'm not gonna say the name of the channel because I'm now by boycotting that channel. They did moments in Ted Lasso you didn't realize. Oh. When he the the end of the hustle, how he starts to come back. Oh, I forgot I'm left handed. Oh, yeah. They actually they go, if you go back, when he sent the divorce papers, he actually picks up the pen with his left hand because he is left handed. And that was the only other time it was mentioned before that moment. You had to kinda catch it. Oh, it is the first season. It was a lot of reveals. People didn't know they were having to look for stuff. So good. Ready for August. Amazing. Oh, I want to go to there. Let's get into stuff we Cautious optimism. Yeah. Stuff we watched this week, Wrexham and the bears. Oh. You guys gotta stop hitting me in the feels, bro. Like, I mean, you you you haven't stopped for six seasons. I don't see you stopping anytime soon. But what a story of redemption for that young lady. There's no way we don't have the moment where she gives one to Ryan Reynolds and maybe Rob Mac if he's there. I I just I I feel like I'm Still feel still still weird to call him Rob Mac. I was about to say, I feel like I'm just I need to keep calling him McElhinney because I Rob McElhinney to me flows better. Well, but you also have the I know it's not still a thing, but the song. Yeah. Bring us the Deadpool and the McElhenny. I mean, it's and, like, I get I understand the reason he gave for changing the name, but I felt like that was just a joke. And then he still did it anyways because he's Rob McElhenny. And I've I've actually thought about going online and seeing if I can order one to be sent to Because That'd be interesting. Because the money's gonna go to the charity. It's a The charity of helping people get their lives back together after different forms of tragedy. In her case it was addiction. Beautiful story. When I saw the first bear, the red one, I was like, that's one of the coolest things I've ever seen because the team donated a bunch of kits to them and they cut them up and they made them into bears, which I am fully on board with. Absolutely. I've now seen is there any other stuff we watched this week you wanna talk about? I actually did not watch any television. I was very movie intensive when I was doing my viewings this week. So I've now watched the first two episodes of This Was Sports Center with Rich Eisen. Mhmm. Episode one was Dan Patrick. Episode two was Berman, and that episode was done live during Super Bowl week in Buffalo. If you are not, you gotta get on board with this dude. Yeah. We're about an hour apiece. There's six episodes in what he's calling season one. Mhmm. Do you know who the season finale is? I know who I would guess it would be, but I'm probably gonna be wrong that it's Stewart Scott. You'll remember we lost Stewart Scott a long time ago. I don't know the concept of the show, so you're basically throwing me in the deep end here. So it's a brand new show that Rich Eisen is doing where he's pulling back people from old school like So he's interviewing people. He's not just cover okay. I thought when you said he's doing Dan Patrick and then he's doing Berman, I thought he was covering their time. Oh, okay. My apologies. I assumed you understood what was going on. Yep. So Linda Cohen, I believe, is week after next. It's every Monday it drops. Okay. Season finale, Craig Kilbourne. Let's Wow. Woah. He said that, and I was like, oh, just drop the whole season now. Eisen's gonna be giving him Eisen is gonna be giving him so much hell, isn't he? Well and there's rumors now that they might do a SportsCenter episode together. Oh, boy. Let's go. Give me Craigers, original host of the daily show, baby. Fact the fact that it's being said, it's gonna have to. I mean, it's this is awesome because Eisen just kinda lets them run. Well, he's always He was been to Dan Patrick. He was actually Oh, I'm way delayed. Eisen has always been the setup guy. He's been Stockton in everything he's done even though he can be Malone. He has always been best at elevating himself and others. He did did the episode with Dan Patrick at Dan Patrick's studio, which I thought was Of course he did. Dan Patrick probably required it. I don't. Right. But I think you get to see a piece of that suit that suit that they don't show very much, which I thought was kind of neat. But I love this. I am fully on board with this. Awesome. If you are anything from Gen X forward and you are any kind of sports fan, you need to watch this series. It's called This Was Sports Center with Rich Eisen. And it's it's no holds barred. Gloves are off, especially the the Dan Patrick episode because both of them tell their parallel stories. Mhmm. Berman was kind of a day oner. Yeah. So Berman has some great early stories to tell. He he goes through how he came up with the nicknames and where that came from. And, it's I've loved both episode. And they run about an hour apiece. They're not very long. He has a sponsor with, like, a sixty minute thing in the middle of it, but watch You mean a sixty second thing. Right? Yeah. That's what I meant. Okay. I I just wanna confirm people aren't expecting to tune in for an hour long ad. This is another week where I haven't left the house much. But check this out. It's on YouTube. You probably get the audio. I watch it on YouTube because I like to watch these things before I'm just listening to them. But go check it out. It's really, really well done, and I'm ready for episode. I'm I'm forward to seeing the Linda Cohn episode because I'm such a fan of her. I'm a fan. I can't remember. Wasn't she close to day one as well? She I think she was the first female anchor at SportsCenter. I believe she was the first female anchor, but what I'm saying is is I think she was very early. Like You are very early. But yeah, I can't remember who the other two are, but I don't care who the other two are because it's gonna be awesome because it's Rich Isaac who's one of my favorites of all time. Learned a lot about Stuart Scott. I did not realize, especially in the the Dan Patrick episode. Mhmm. He was how incredibly competitive he was and how it kind of got to Dan Patrick a few times. And the first time they played basketball against each other, that story alone is worth the whole episode. Along with him talking about the genesis of the Vista Sports Center commercials. Mhmm. The clip is out there. I don't know how long the clip is, but they That that is like a three to five minute clip. That's the one thing I have seen from this with Grant Hill. And they're oh, is that is that where it stops? Well, no. Grant Hill is the first. Right. They tell the Dan Patrick tells the story of how he got the first This Is Sports Center made with Grant Hill. So he he tells the story about that. Is when they show that that commercial, is that where the clip ends? It's been a minute. I wanna say there's a a quick button on the end from Dan Patrick. There's like a whole another two to three minutes. Oh, wow. Because the second one, when they got Grant Hill, that's how they got Jason Kidd, which is because Kidd was the one. And it was the same pitch. Yeah. Well, it became that. Wait. What okay. What was your favorite This Is Sports Center? Because I feel like yours and mine might be the same. Anytime the copy machine's involved. Okay. And the one where it turns into, like, lord of the flies and and Charlie's in the camera with the the tie wrapped around his head and the and the lantern. I love that one. I really thought it was gonna be the Steve Irwin. I really thought it was gonna be the Steve Irwin with the gator. When I when when I was a young Look man at the size of a mini tackle. I I need to find this because there's a book out there, and I I only saw it once, and I didn't buy it, and I'm still kicking myself to this day. I wanna say it was at the twentieth anniversary of SportsCenter. It was or of ESPN. There was a a book about SportsCenter, and it came with a DVD with a bunch of the commercials on it. Oh, that would have been cool. Now for me, you you obviously have to know with my hockey background. My favorite is going up into the elevator and going, going up and the devil mascot. I just and and Berman the Berman episode, he tells I mean, they both tell amazing stories. Absolutely. And some a guy like me, like, I eat that stuff up. Oh, you are a and I'm I mean this in the most kind and loving way possible. You are a glutton for that kind of stuff. Oh, absolutely. But he but the one thing Berman didn't do, and I was kinda bummed, I just wanted to hear her go. Right. Die. Just one time. Another big headline that hit yesterday, I don't know where this is gonna be, but its timing is perfect. Did you see the video the other day with that Patrick posted of all of the the guys from the Pause. Pause. You you got garbled and it didn't come through clean. So, did I see the video of what? That Patrick Rena posted the other day of all of them going out to dinner. Dinner. Yes. I love this because it's all of the guys from the standlock going together and each one of them and then it gets to Rena and he's holding the check. He gets stuck with the check because he's still the working actor. But do you know sorry. Go ahead. This might be where I'm going with this. It was announced yesterday Yep. It is. That the boys are getting back together for a series called dugout dads. Yep. Where Rena plays the coach of a little league team that deals with unruly parents and other coaches, and this is a series. This is not a movie. Now why is the timing for it so perfect? Because you, friend of the show, need to check out Matinee Heroes this Saturday where I am on with Craig and Elizabeth, and we're talking about the Sandlot. Mhmm. So check that out. Perfect timing. Patrick Renna, I know that's why you did it. I appreciate that. You're welcome on the show, and any of the guys are welcome on the show. I need you. You know what? I share a video of Patrick Renna every year when football starts. Do you remember the video I'm talking about? I do not. Where he and two of his friends are in jerseys and they're doing a choreographed dance to each of the football themes. Does it ring a bell now? Nobody need to find it. I know. To send this to you. One of the things I this. One of the things I said on Matinee Heroes, and this is kinda I'm this might be un American, and I apologize ahead of time. When I think of him, the Sandlot's not the first place I go. It's son-in-law. Munching yeah. He has he has that shirt that The says best he has that shirt. Of Polly Shore? Yeah. Well, the shirt that he has that just says seduce me please on it. It just it gets me every time. He was he was perfect as that kid. The little brother, he was so perfect. And Wendy Peppercorn is still absolutely gorgeous. I've seen her at the the pictures of her at some of the since she's done. They have nine kids. Well, check out metony heroes this Saturday. Other news, ABC, Hulu, Disney plus season six of only murders in the building is adding more and more people every day. This season's gonna feature, Simone Ashley, Jane Horix, Leslie Nicole, Sharon Hogan. I'm doing this in order of people maybe I haven't heard of to the people I have. Also, Derek Jacoby. Okay. Martin Freeman, and Jerry Hallowell Horner from spice girls. All gonna be in the building. AMC has said season three of the walking dead dead city will kick off July 26. So if you're still Well, I'm going. Freeform has renewed that thrifting show for season two. We don't talk about Freeform a lot, but, you know, when they're in the headlines, we put it in the show. That's what we do. Absolutely. Headlines are headlines for a reason. HBO Max, TNT, TBS, Warner Brothers. Wow. We have somebody joining the season two of of task. Edgar Ramirez will be joining that cast. Oh, he's great. Oh, I I I still need to watch that first season. Netflix has canceled boots after one season. Oh. So if you're watching that show, and they're gonna end a good girl's guide to murder after season three. Okay. So there's that. They've they're they also announced this week that they have a new animated series coming next year called Ghostbusters Night Shift. Very interesting logo to this. Interesting. So we don't know about it, but it was announced, and I've gotten it verified. And part four of Lupin, which is very that's a very underrated show on Netflix and more people I I everybody I know that's watched it has raved about it. The the property's been around since the sixties or seventies. So but, part four of that's gonna drop on October 23. They had a show called the circle, which was about they take people and they live in separate rooms and they only communicate through social media. Season eight of that is going to move to Hulu, who has said they're gonna start using celebrity contestants in real time voting. Oh. We have more Scooby Doo origins casting. Maxwell Jenkins from Netflix's lost in space is now Fred. Uh-huh. Tanner Hagen, who's been on one episode of the pit. He is shaggy. Yeah. Abby Ryder Fortson from are you there? God, it's me. Margaret will be playing Velma. We knew that McKenna Grace would be playing Daphne. Mhmm. And Paul Walter Hauser isn't going to be in it in an unspecified role. Did you see the other note about this regarding Scoob himself? It will be the first time a Scooby Doo property will be using a real dog. Oh, okay. I'm here for it. Paramount plus because they have now observed BET plus, they have renewed Diara from Detroit for a second season. As things are starting to move in the direction, what I'm hearing now is that it's HBO Max is going to Paramount plus, not the other way around, so be prepared for that chaos. So everything they've been saying about keeping them separate entities is not so much? Those are the rumors I'm hearing currently. Well, we'll find out soon enough. And another show that I need to get caught up on because season two kicks off July 31 of Batman Caped Crusader. I just set that to my list on Prime Video now. TV on DVD and Blu ray this week, season one of a night of the seven kingdoms will be available. I love that show. Season four. I really enjoyed it. Season four of dark winds. The complete series of an anime called assassination classroom. It's one of those kids fighting each other kind of a thing, but it's So it's battle royale, but animated. Which is what a lot of people say about academia too. Also true. The complete series of difficult people and the complete collection of heavy metal l gaim, g a I m. I don't know what I don't know that either. One of the official sponsors right here at Stormwater Media and the Sunset Lounge DFW is CBD House of Healing. You know, it's it's starting to get warm again. Saw Pete Delkis, local weatherman earlier say the the end of this month will be the opening of the gates to hell. Those were his exact words. Pete. So here we go, kids. Texas summers. Yep. And maybe it's causing you those aches and pains. You're getting out there and you're coming home and you're not feeling your personal best. Might be keeping you up at night. My heart, I got arthritis in one of my shoulders. It's absolutely driving me to the brink. If you want to solve those things and you want to do it naturally, go to CBD House of Healing. Woman owned business, Summer Hansen, who's a registered nurse and an amazing human. Never met her, but I've seen great things from YDC. I I gotta be transparent. Alright. Fair. And we'd love to have her on the show. Summer, come join us. Go hang on the show. We got a lot of guests that are lining up out of nowhere. A couple a couple of whom I've actually asked for this show, which I don't know that I've ever had that happen. But she makes she she sells only products from her lab, highest purity, highest quality standards. Because she's a registered nurse, she wants to work with you, not for you. It's not gonna be a lot of bro. And, yeah, that's what a good scare, bro. Not a lot of that. Actually, none of that. Because she wants you to be able to take care of yourself because self care is the goal. That's the whole reason that CBD house of healing exists. Mike Reiner, our co owner, can attest to it. He uses one of their salves, and he it does it does wonders for him. Go to cbddallas.com. That's their website. Or can go see them at 8550 Plano Road, which right there at the Northeast section of Northwest Highway and Plano Road right there. Go see them in person. It's it's hot out there. Get you a slushie if that's your That's exactly what I was gonna say. I was waiting on it. You want that relief, get the get the healing you need from the CBD house of healing. Alright. Let's get into movie talk. Stuff we watched this week. It's gonna be review intensive. Outside of new releases, what else have you watched this week, Alex? So it's actually been a bit of an experiment. Okay. So spoiler alert, I'd I've been very open about this. Project Hail Mary is my number one movie of the year so far, and it hasn't had anything come close until Tuesday. But Sean and I did something because I tried it, and it was so enjoyable. We watched the movie, listened to the audiobook, which I have talked about being so different but still covering the same material, then going back and realizing there's so many things in the movie that now pop even more because of the reference to the books. And that was a lot of fun to the point where I think I might start doing that as a regular idea of finding something, a property where I can watch, then listen and see how I feel about it. Because for me, I always wanna do the book second because it always has more. But that project hail Mary experiment has been phenomenal. Going through the book has really been awesome along with the visual, partner to it. I I just I cannot rave about that movie enough. I'm just I can't. It's a great film. Yeah. And it's and this year is getting deeper and deeper with great films. And we're about to hit week after week after week of summer right now. Anything else you wanna talk about on your side of it? Oh, no. I everything else I have is reviews. So tying to, a new release this week, I did go back and watch Close Encounters of the Third Kind. It's currently available on Peacock. Oh, good. In four k in, 5.1. It's not in Dolby or anything. I don't really wanna talk about it on air for for fear of getting into spoilerville. Can I talk about what's on my TV right now real quick? Because there Jordan Stahl has scored a goal for the fifth straight game in the Stanley Cups. That's only happened five times, and it's like recent, recent, recent, recent. And then there was one of the greatest names I've ever seen in the history of ever from 1918. The first person to score five goal or five straight, Stanley Cup goal games, Cyclone Taylor. Very nice. I am so jealous. He's a cyclone and hurricanes are in it, so that works out nicely. But I watched a couple of movies today. Mhmm. I watched a movie on Prime Video called Georgia Peach. This is an independent film about a woman's struggle with addiction. Mhmm. It's definitely an indie film. So set your level of expectation accordingly. It's a pretty it's what it runs about an hour thirty. I would have liked it to go a little bit longer to explore more of the themes of the thing. Okay. At the very beginning, there is a an appearance by the great Karen White. If you remember Karen White, she was an r and b singer in the late eighties, early nineties. And I submitted I submitted the first trivia act to IMDb because there was no trivia for it. And, as as the the lady that's a lead who also sings a song on the soundtrack, is checking out at this grocery store, they're talking about, oh, I remember I met I knew your dad, blah blah blah. And the lead says, yeah. Well, you know what they say? Behind every man is a superwoman. For those of you that do not know, superwoman was one of Karen White's biggest hits in 1989. I am more of a fan. There's, secret rendezvous. It's a great song. It's a great song. Don't get me wrong. It's but it's a ballad, and it's kinda depressing. But, romantic, great song. You know who Karen White is? You need to look her up. Outstanding. Yeah. I also watched today a movie now that we all three have seen. Little ditty called war machine. Oh, boy. How did you feel about it? It's not good. It's not. I you know? This is another one that I would have liked. It runs about an hour forty eight. Mhmm. I would have liked at least five more minutes. It wants to be Just elaborate. It wants to be predator so bad I can taste it. Mhmm. I was just waiting for somebody to say they ain't got time to bleed. You know what? I I had a similar thought in that scope where it was just more the and it's like, Al, you you're better than this. Some great people. Love me some Esai Morales. Dennis Quaid, big fan. Got the kid that played Wally West from the Flash. The series was in it. Jai Jai Courtney, big fan. I I don't know why Jai Courtney is not getting better roles. He needs better management, or he specifically asks for, like, c rated movies. Like if you just wanna watch stuff explode. Yeah, that's true. It's fun. Yeah. Like set your expectations low. Yeah. This is one where you turn your brain off and just let it go. And you're getting a sequel. So get ready for that. Oh, did you see the little thing about at, I'm I'm not this isn't a spoiler. But the guy at the end that goes, anybody catch his name? That's in the in the chop up. It's been so long since I've watched it. You're gonna have to hit me with it. That's the director. Oh, okay. He even has his last name as his character name. So, Trailer Talk? Every time I have the same reaction every time I hear that. I'm like, you're not Alfred Hitchcock. Trailer Talk, you're getting a film from a, a what do we call that? A staging of Hadestown the musical with the original Broadway cast is going to be in theaters later this year. Oh, nice. A presentation. A performance, if you will. There you go. That's word. And Well, and the way today is it is very much if you will. Have you seen the trailer for how to rob a bank? I have specifically been avoiding it because I've only seen the image of the mask and the look on Nicholas Hoult's face with the makeup. And I'm like, I am gonna wanna watch this. I feel like I don't wanna watch the trailer. Watch the trailer. Because it basically, this is a group of people that rob banks, and it's kind of a Robin Hood kind of a story because they give the money to charities. But Nice. It comes from their YouTube channel. Oh. And at one point, the trailer guys, aren't you the guys from how to rob a bank? And they're like, yes, we are. He goes like, I love your work. And they're like, thank you. And they take off. Like, this this is gonna be one of those that it I feel like this is what crime one zero one wanted to be. And and I'm not I can't dogpile it too much because it has one of my favorite people and and one of the favorite people from BNT in it, and so I can't dog on it too much. But how to rob a bank looks delightful. Of Yeah. Crime one zero one is great. It's just too long and drawn out. That's all. As you and I talked about the other day, Jason Momoa now not part of Helldivers. Yeah. So you got that going for you. Well, that that I feel like that's gonna be a property that people are gonna want to be in just because of the popularity of it. I mean, name another video game that started putting other people in it without getting paid just because they wanted the cool characters. And we do have video game news coming up, by the way. I figured we would. And other things that are celebrating its fortieth anniversary and reminding me how old I really am, Manhunter is returning to theaters for its fortieth anniversary. Are you kidding me? This Yes. Robin Cox, Hannibal Lecter? Yes. And William Peterson from CSI. Yep. So this was before this was Silence of the Lambs before Silence of the Lambs kids. Mhmm. So look up when you can get tickets for that. Have you seen this this story from Portia? I don't know of anything from Porsche. Find an image big enough to screen share with. So if you can find this, let me know. Okay. They they have teamed up with Pixar. They are auctioning off to charities three Porsche, it's a 09/11 model. There are three of them. One, one themed on Woody, one themed on Buzz and one themed on Jesse. These things retail starting at a quarter of 1,000,000 a piece. They look fantastic. And Tom Griswold hit the nail on the head where he said the Buzz one should have been EV. But these things look cool. All the money's going to charity. So, check out Google search on these. They look fantastic. They look great. So Yeah. A a newsroom.porsche.com has a direct link. The only reason I'm not sharing it is the moment I pulled up the web page, we started to crash a little bit. So I'm like, we're not gonna go there. We'll just tell people to go look it up. They do look great. They are nine elevens. Yeah. They really look cool. Although I will say, there's a part of me that was like, that spoiler is obnoxious. And then I realized it was Buzz Lightyear, and I'm like, it should be more obnoxious. As Alex texted me just as I saw it myself yesterday, k pop demon hunters turns one. They're celebrating starting yesterday and for the next week with a number of different things. You're gonna wanna go to the the Netflix website that's going to give you because they're releasing stuff periodically. Announced today, they have Before we get off sorry. Before we get off of that, Philadelphia's Netflix house is running k pop demon hunters on a loop in their theater. Yeah. Because they So that's another one of the screenings if you happen to be closer there. You're right. Today announced collabs with General Mills. You're getting a a Sajja Boyz secret flavor cinnamon toast crunch, and you're getting a So you're saying it's gonna be demonly cinnamon? It's a secret flavor. They haven't said what it is. And you're getting a Huntrix peach mango Lucky Charms. In, I'm giving So that a keep your eye on the Tadum website because they're gonna be that's Netflix's official news website. Yes. Is. Now we have appointments. We are getting Harold and Kumar four. I forgot there was a three. The only oh, that's the Christmas one. Right? I don't know. Yeah. I think it is, but I forgot it existed. The only person not verified to come back yet is, is Doogie Howser. Oh, Neil Patrick Harris has not signed? No. The other two are He's probably pretty busy. You've mentioned project hail Mary. MGM is going to be your streaming home for that, not prime video yet if you wanna stream it without additional cost. I bought it. Well, I'm just Yeah. I bought it. It's worth it. For those of you who don't know, Amazon owns MGM, so it's all the same. And if you have Prime Video, they will have a little additive where you can just add MGM at a steep discount as part of it. We have it because I think Jen there was a show Jen wanted to watch on it. That was part of our Hulu subscription. We're apparently, now we're getting 24 again. I have said to somebody involved with the picture, the one scene I want. And, right now, Channing Tatum, Jonah Hill, and Ice Cube are all in. So do you remember the Schmidt, the captain's daughter scene that we could not stop laughing and I almost peed myself? Vaguely. I need a recurrence of that scene where either a, Cube has to be asked for permission for her hand, but I would much rather it be Channing Tatum accidentally revealing that he's asking for permission to get married because she's already pregnant and then let that chaos. It's Right. Yes. And we got an email today coming up next Monday at, UT Arlington. They're doing a special tie in. It'll be from four to 8PM. They didn't have the time. Had send a follow-up email with the time. Yep. I got it. Supergirl is blasting off this summer. We're two weeks away from Supergirl, y'all. That's breaking my brain. With her most with her mobile intergalactic rest stop tour stopping in five cities in the month of June before the movie comes out on June 26. It will be at College Park Center at UTA on Monday before the Dallas Wings game. Nice. So our WNBA team. This custom wrapped Airstream will feature complimentary intergalactic snacks inspired by KFC's Supergirl Ultimate Meal. I I was shocked that soup that KFC got the marketing for this. That is surprising. Complete with tenders and new Supergirl inspired sauces. One's based on her, one's based on Lobo, and one's based on the antagonist whose name currently escapes me. The female. You know you know Lobo is gonna be my first choice. That's just gotta be. And they're they also are are doing with the meals the the little figures that you hook to your key chain. There's two different ones for Kara, one with the with the with the jacket and one without. One for Lobo, one for the female, and one for crypto. I've actually seen the pictures because I'm on KFC's mailing list. That's right. I said it. Hey. KFC's great. The one by the house, not great. Makes me sad because it's like As a general rule, KFC. I love you. It's not fast, but it's good. They're they're they're coleslaw, one of the best on the planet, still makes me mad that Chick fil A pulled theirs. Well, they're potatoes. Always. Can employ it can employ. No. You can enjoy and employ should you choose to do so. I'm not judging. Interplanetary photo opportunities with intergalactic creatures brought to life by PremiereFX Studio Legacy Effects, the team behind the practical effects in Supergirl, as well as galaxy glow ups by Joico featuring heat hero and hold hero for hair that channels that Supergirl strength. I'm getting good with this big homie. I'm letting you know. Oh, that was tough. Guests are encouraged to dress as Supergirl or their favorite DC character for the chance to receive custom movie merchandise. How about that? Oh. Positioned outside the Dallas Wings game, the activation creates a natural connection between the strength, determination, and confidence embodied by Supergirl and the energy of one of the WNBA's most exciting matchups. So get out there next Monday. It's gonna have its North America and IMAX released on June 26. Very much looking forward to this. So go check that out Monday, right outside the wing the wings game from four to eight at UTA. Movie new releases in places you we're gonna run late tonight. Movie new releases in places you get movie new releases. We have the the RuPaul stop exclamation point, that exclamation point, train exclamation point. K. Featuring a from RuPaul's RuPaul's Drag Race. So there's that. These next two, I've gotta look up because I forgot to do so before the show. Actually, let me get you let me get you the synopsis to stop that train first. We have this this tempting madness with Simone Ashley, which I'm kind of interested in. What's the other one I was needing to look up? Oh, yeah. We also have time of death. We have with with the great Dennis Hayes Bear Oh. Who who Craig's had lunch with. Thanks very much. And, Kevin Pollock and Mina Suvari is in this. I love Kevin Pollock. Let's start with stop exclamation point. That exclamation point. Train exclamation point. Two train stewardess BFFs switch from a dull railway to the luxurious Glamazonian Express. During a massive storm, they must work with snooty first class crew and president Gagwell, that's RuPaul, to present to rent daster disaster in LA. Paul Scheer is in this. I'm sorry. Tal John Scheer? Tal John Scheer is in this. Joel McHale is in this. Oh, because somebody has to play the douche. Yeah. Nicole Sullivan, big fan of her, Jerry O'Connell. True. Chris Parnell, Natasha Leguero, Nicole Richey. A hell of a cast. Her and Michelle Geller. Yeah. Then we have this tempting madness this week. I guess it was Simone Ashley. After emerging from a coma with serious injuries and memory gaps, a woman's husband is jailed. As she works to reconstruct her past, she begins to doubt herself and what is real. Austin Stowell. Not recognizing any other names in this. Let's see. And then we have time of death. In this film, when a prisoner vanishes without a trace, detective Frank Morley is sent to a decaying prison on the verge of shutdown. What begins as investigation quickly spirals into a dangerous search for answers. Michael Kelly, Kevin Pollock, Dennis Hayes Bear, Mina Suvari. I'm looking to see if there's any other names I recognize. There is not. And then you've got the two big ones this week, disclosure day, the latest from Spielberg. Yeah. I think I well, I think we were all kind of in the same I I have never written a review where I wanted to spoil things so badly as when I was writing disclosure day because I'm still not over and this isn't a spoiler because there's no context. I'm still not over the fence. I'm still not over the stone the rock. I'm still not over the car moment. It's all so but it's it's Spielberg playing with industrial light and magic and just seeing how cool he can make things look, and he does. Also this week, the furious, and I think we all three were in an audience on this. Mhmm. Holy cow. So do you do you realize why I smirked when you brought up the raid and raid redemption to Daryl in the theater? I do not. Joe Taslim is in is the star of the raid. Oh, is he? So one of the guys from the furious is the guy from the raid. And well, you also have the other the the henchman. He's in both of both raid films. Yeah. Oh, Connelly is he wait. Here's the crazy thing about that. He caught himself martial arts and has an entire stunt team with his brother. It's so cool. But the other one that's in the raid is the older guy, who is a slot master, named Ruhian, the old the archer. Yeah. That's what I was talking about. Oh, okay. Scream factory has them exclamation point, the old school monster flick, and criterion has a Blu ray for high art. I'm not gonna say Stolen Water Media is making a move because the move's already done. Yep. You can get our entire archive. I was gonna bring this up in the close because I laughed so hard when I saw the numbers. If you wanna go back and you wanna hear because we did an we did an episode where I played the original episodes called secret origins. You can actually go back to the original original of that Mhmm. In July 2010. It's it's not a complete archive because there's a couple of seasons that were missing shows, and we're not gonna talk about why. But a lot of our originally called iTunes exclusives that became remotely viewed almost wanna say we have all of those now. Oh, that'd be great. My meltdown for lamb is up. So you know Yes. Yes. I I need I need lamb. And what was the what was the Adam Driver one? Marionette? Annette. Annette. Yes. I can't believe we didn't we weren't recording that meltdown. I'm still mad about that. It's coming next year. And for the first time, a Virtua Fighter game's gonna have a story mode. Oh. And it go find this trailer. It looks I'm gonna be totally honest. Virtua Fighter was actually one of my preferred back in the day. It's coming next year. Go watch this trailer. Basically, you play a guy who's crossed the Yakuza. Yeah. There's a lot going on, and and I'm here for all of it. It looks amazing. That sounds cool. So oh, goodness gracious. We gotta get to the other part of this show if we can believe it at one the 01:18 mark. So let's just go here. Let's get into it. The cheap podcast is your one stop shop for all things in the world of professional wrestling. And I'm saying that we're not running late because I'm just discounting the first five minutes of this episode tonight. We wanna send our best to Tyler Maine. Yes. You believe he's from WCW. You may know him as Sabertooth in the OG X Men movies. He announced this week that he has been diagnosed with breast cancer, which one percent of men are diagnosed with. He's doing his best to raise awareness. Mr. Maine, you have our love and support. Just go out there and support what he's doing because all accounts Follow him on social media because he is documenting his journey to show and raise awareness that men can get breast cancer. It's it's really cool. Shout out to Shaughty Blackheart. She is your new MLW women's world champion. And I found out we may have mentioned this, but it I for some reason, I don't feel like we knew until yesterday. NWA seventy eight is set for July 25. Mhmm. The 2300 Arena in Philly is a little earlier than normal. Yeah. I feel like it's been this time. It's been it's been, like, late July or early August. Apparently, Steve Macklin now out of TNA wrestling for real. Mhmm. So We we may or may not know where he's going, but we're not allowed to talk about it yet. Yeah. Go spend time with your wife, dude. Yeah. It's it's a logical And and and because I can say this, Mac, just relax and go pet your wiener. You know? Oh. Toxins. We now have announced this week, and I told you about this, and you were like, I'm sorry. What? Yeah. Sunday night's main event is now happening. It will be Labor Day weekend, September 6 in A Town. We do it for the a, which was the second date that was set for money in the bank. Money in the bank is now October 10 in New Orleans, which is the day before my anniversary. So New Orleans back on the map now. Yeah. Apparently, it exists again to the company. I'm you know, as Alex likes to say, this has been stealing Alex's bit, and I don't know. I'm not afraid to say it when I do it. Obvious questions maybe being obvious. I have a question. Hit me. Coming up on the we're just wrapped up the European tour. Mhmm. Monday night or SmackDown was in Paris or Raw, Paris, one of the two. Raw was in I believe Raw was Paris or wait. One was I I believe SmackDown was Bologna. Oh, yeah. When they go to arenas where English is not the dominant language and they're doing TV, do they close caption on the screens in the arena, or are they just expected to just roll with it? I think they're expected to just roll with it because allow me to also put it in this context. When you go to a live show, how often do you actually hear the talking when it's not a promo? That but that's what was saying, like, even the promo. But what I'm saying in the in the promo, I think they're just rolling with it, but there's also the aspect that Europeans tend to be better educated on multiple languages, plus England's kind of a dominant force. English in America is the hardest language in the world to learn. Yeah. It is. Now granted, if you've got the new AirPods Oh, yeah. That it interprets for you or maybe you've got Google Translate or something. I've just wondered that for lately. I'm like, how does that work? If you don't, roberttheclubhousepodcast.com. Let me know. But the other part about it was the it does that question does remind me of when you took the lovely and talented missus Irvin, happy birthday. It's her birthday yesterday. Yes. Thank you. Yep. Took her to the first show. We were in 2000, baby. We were there, Reunion Arena. So please share for anybody that hasn't heard that though. It's still my favorite. I have the DVD because I you know, every time we go to a live show, if there's a DVD, like, got the Blu ray from Hell in a Cell 2011, which I was at sitting 12 rows behind the announce desk announce desk. We were kind of in the nosebleeds for that, but we were in the building for fully loaded. That was where Rakeshi came off the cage. About second match in my wife, is now my wife, she was my girlfriend at the time. He had only been dating a short time, had a very confused look on her face. Because very long story, very, very short. She was confused that we weren't hearing the commentary in the arena. And it's horrible things I've ever heard in my life. It absolutely is. Raw. Ugh. Dominik is, quote, a twenty year vet in this game? I I need to see some paperwork here just because you were on TV, bro. Yeah. But I I appreciate them playing this up. And he's selling the hell out of it. He, I am he is one of the people I am so happy I was wrong about. And his Like, he was forced when he turned his way. Yeah. Him turning heel was was what he needed. The biggest thing he needed. Yeah. So when he finally does turn face again Mhmm. Bring your earplugs because that arena's gonna whatever arena it's in, they're gonna lose. Allow me to say I already know what it's gonna sound like because of Mania last year. I know exactly what it's gonna sound like. And you have a new North American women's champion in Zaria. Mhmm. In an episode of NXT that was aired. Special. Not in good way. The mister NXT thing. So dumb. Any excuse to get Sarah Schreiber on the screen? Because at one point, she followed me on Twitter, so she'll always have a pass with me. And I don't wanna have to go through my followers to figure out if she still does. I'm just assuming she does. It was rough because now did you watch NXT? No. I think the NXT hasn't been worth my time in god knows how long. Always gonna ask. I know, but I I I check-in. Like, for Zaria, I will check-in because she is the best person on that brand right now. But And there was a lot of hugging going on after they went off the air, so it makes me wonder if we're calling Correct. I actually know the answer because there was a promo cut. Okay. And a goodbye said from our favorite tater who is likely to be moving up. But I forgot where I was going. Oh, Kit Wilson was one of the judges. Did you see the shirt he was wearing? No. But I love Kit Wilson. Let's just say maybe it references someone because there's a baby chickadee and a magnet on it. And all those rumors? Uh-huh. Yeah. AEW real quick. The butcher and the blade apparently out. Well, that has been coming for a while. They've been wanting out. They let the the contracts run out, so we'll see where they wind up. They're they're both really talented guys, and Andy complains will always have a pass with me. I have two things to say about that. One, hey, man. Go hang out with your wife. Uh-huh. Two, that program, them, and the righteous. Let's. See, I actually thought of it as a different way. I took it as not a program, but a faction. Okay. I'm here for it. We're gonna go dynamite, then we're gonna come back. Okay. Maya World went over sky blue. Yes. Which was kind of a shock, but I also appreciate her transparency about the sudden loss of her brother. We wanna send her best out to Dallas' own Maya World, who we've watched here for a very, very long time locally. By the way, Rowe and TSW were back this week. Oh, good. But TSW was a rerun. But at least they're back. Yeah. I said this to you on Tuesday night, and I'm sticking by it. Mhmm. The reason Mercedes Monet does not win this tournament is because she keeps touching the bell. Aye. And when she tapped into me that it was that that chapter was over. I do wanna ask you about what you texted me about because I did not catch this. You texted me and asked if I got a shout out from Excalibur last night on dynamite. And I, you know, I appreciate you being vague. And by the way, you weren't interrupting anything because Well, I I wanted to defer. We just we were just hanging out here at the house for tens of the day. So but During during the the Andrade, Orange Cassidy match. Okay. Go ahead. So Andrade removes the pants as he does. And then what does Orange Cassidy do? I'd say I okay. Orange Cassidy took off his jeans to reveal the same pair of jeans on your So Excalibur started yelling exactly like you do about gimmick infringement. It was awkwardly parallel. You need to go find this. Yeah. I do have a. And, LA sent me one of the pictures that Leo Rush posted. The black heart. Yep. And he's not wrong. I, you know, I think this AEW is putting up on social. I just need it to go somewhere. So Yeah. On collision this past week Mhmm. I had a question, and then I answered my own question. Okay. What is it about Shane Taylor that keeps from him getting to the next level? I I can't figure it out because I like the guy, but it just seems like there's something there's just something that's keeping him from getting himself to the next level. And I I can't I can't tell you what it is because he's got intensity. He knows how to wrestle. He knows how to elevate others. And if Moxley picks you to have a match with him, there's something there. And then I realized what it was. It's the Leonard Enderhausen curse. Oh, but we can't repeat what he said. We can't repeat the curse because he was actually cursing. I texted him. Oh, that's so good. And I and I so so good. We had a Bernard Enderhausen curse? And he was like, yes. Oh my god. Like, he lost his For the record, you do realize that's probably gonna become a drip shirt. Right? I'm here. Dude, I'm okay with it. I'm fully okay with it. He can have it. You know what I need? I I need no. I need that done full drip style, and we're rocking you for your birthday as Kerco Chains Rob edition. Oh my god. I that hit me and I was like and because I told you Monday night, I got something coming. So get And I wasn't gonna spoil it. And you knew where it came from, but you didn't know what it was. Mhmm. I did. I did know. And I got the exact, you know, the exact reaction that I wanted, so I'm happy. You know what the funny thing is? The most vivid memory I have of that cursing was Shane Taylor genuinely having a moment of, do I just beat this dude? Right. And for those of you that don't know, do have to give the background on this. We went to a ring of honor show probably almost ten years ago because you and I have known each other almost a decade now. Oh, my back just seized up hearing that. Yeah. And LA was giving Shane Taylor the business. It was dirty business too. Like, and not in same not in the same way we were giving Kenny King the business because when Oh. Business. I I I guarantee you, that guy walks in here right now, he hug he gives me this huge man hug because he couldn't he couldn't not laugh at what we were doing. And it was because we were giving him the BDC. And, you know, between him, punishment Martinez, Shane Taylor, and if we ever get this Don't forget Taven. Yeah. And Taven because Taven actually did a liner for us that we that doesn't work anymore because it's outdated. Yeah. But I guarantee like, if we ever run into Damian Priest and we tell him about that incident, I guarantee you he remembers. I guarantee Absolutely. You money on it. Well, but he was so confused. It was perfect. Because we were there when he won the the television title. But the one I'm talking about is the time where LA, who tried to Leonard Anderhausen curse Matt Taven, and Taven gets up to the railing, sees it's me who after talking to him before, and I just go, have it? It just goes. It's perfect. Well and I and we have to enunciate the Leonard Enderhausson Because his last name what you did there. His last name was Anderson. So that hit me like a ton of bricks. I'm like Oh, I thought you were making a swerve reference. Like, that's going that's going in the No. No. I were you not just making a double reference? Whose house thing works too? Yeah. Yeah. It's Leonard and or Whosehousen. If it's just because the name just keeps getting longer. Your your your your blinged out shirt is gonna be, like, text wrapped the whole way around by the time we're done with this. But that hit me, and I was like, there's no way that's not going in the run sheet. Nope. And I No. That is perfect. I let me see if I can get you the exact Honestly, no. No. You do you want me to tell you exactly what we should do? We're done. We're not peeking after that. We're good. Let's hit the plugs and go home. No. I I need to get you the exact verbiage because I where okay. It was, damn, I did curse him. Black man always keeping a brother down. That was his reaction. That's LA's reaction. That's LA's reaction. I just I wish I'd have been in the room when he read that. Oh, absolute. I wish there was a camera on him when he read that. And and I was like, I could tell Ox, but no. I'm gonna get his genuine reaction on the show. Worth it. Make sure you're following us all on all your social medias. There's a QR code. It's right there.
