Nothing like the sea breeze to fluff up the feathers, a little salt air, a nice rocking boat, and oh, wait. Is that thunder? Nope. Just a distant rumble. No big deal.
Zaki:Alright. Maybe it's a medium deal. But hey, storms come and go. Right? What's the worst that could, Woah.
Zaki:What's happening down there? Are they throwing stuff overboard? What is this? Some kind of reverse treasure hunt? You're supposed to bring things back from the sea, not toss them in.
Zaki:What's his deal? Everyone else is running around like their feathers are on fire, but not him. He's just waiting. Uh-oh. That's not good.
Zaki:The lots picked him. Poor guy. Wait. Is he really going to jump? That's a long way down.
Zaki:Doesn't he know what's in the sea? Fish, eels, and Oh, no. Oh, no. No. No.
Zaki:This is bad. Really bad. Oh, feathers. Here we go.
Zaki:Meraj Digital presents The Amazing Stories with Zaki the Hoopoe.
Zaki:Episode 8, Prophet Yunus and the Whale.
Zaki:My amazing friends. It's me, Zaki, the talking Hoopoe bird. I hope you're ready for another big adventure today. And when I say big, I mean huge, like, as big as a whale.
Zaki:Have you ever seen a whale? I bet it could swallow this whole podcast if it wanted to, but let's hope it doesn't. Today, we're going to meet a prophet named Yunus, peace be upon him, and find out what happened when he found himself inside a giant whale. Sounds wild. Right?
Zaki:Well, grab your snacks in your imagination because it's going to be a splash. Now before we dive in, pun totally intended, let's think about something. Have you ever had one of those days where nothing goes right? Maybe your coffee spills, you lose your keys, and then just when you think it can't get worse, your kid tells you they've used all the peanut butter to make an art project? Well, prophet Yunus was about to have one of those days.
Zaki:But don't worry, the ending's much better than a peanut butter covered living room. So a long time ago, there was a prophet named Yunus. He was sent by Allah to guide the people of a big city. But, oh, boy, the people weren't listening at all. Can you imagine?
Zaki:It's like when you tell your parents you're totally not tired, but your eyes are half closed. Yep. That's exactly how the people were acting. Prophet Yunus tried and tried, but eventually, he decided to leave and take a break. So he hopped on a boat and sailed far, far away.
Zaki:Now here's where things get interesting. Suddenly, a big storm hit. The sky turned dark. The waves got tall and everyone on the boat was holding on tight. Quick.
Zaki:Pretend you're on a boat too. Hold on tight. The waves are rocking the boat. Can you feel it? Now this is where things get weird.
Zaki:The people who were on the boat were suspicious of each other. They thought someone brought this bad weather and storm with them. They accused each other and began yelling. One person suggested they draw sticks and whoever had the smallest one would be tossed overboard. Well that sounds logical, doesn't it?
Zaki:Prophet Yunus was having a hard day. He was the one who drew the small stick. Even the people on the boat didn't wanna do this. They didn't think prophet Yunus deserved to be thrown into the water. But Yunus was a prophet.
Zaki:He wasn't scared. He was brave and a leader to who. He knew when things get tough, they are just tests from Allah. Prophet Yunus knew he had to do something, so he bravely jumped into the sea, so no one had to throw him over the side of the boat. Now that was very brave of him, wasn't it?
Zaki:What a tough day. And just when he thought it couldn't get more intense, gulp, something massive came up and swallowed him whole, a gigantic whale. Now, I know what you're thinking. Being inside a whale, that's a little extreme. Right?
Zaki:Well, don't worry. Let's continue with the story. Even though it was dark and probably smelled a little fishy in there, prophet Yunus didn't give up. He prayed and prayed to Allah asking for forgiveness and help. He sat in the dark thinking about everything he had done.
Zaki:Have you ever sat quietly and thought about what you did during the day? You should. It's fun. After 3 days, something amazing happened. The whale swam to the shore and whoosh, Spit prophet Yunus right out onto the beach just like that.
Zaki:Now, I bet you're wondering what happened next. Right? Well, after being spit out, prophet Yunus was so grateful to be alive. He had time to think about everything that happened. He realized that sometimes even when things don't go our way, it's important to be patient and trust in Allah's plan.
Zaki:Yunus had left his people because they weren't listening. But after his time inside the whale, he knew he had to go back and try again. Can you imagine how he felt? At first, he might have been sad or even scared, but then he grew stronger. He learned that sometimes we all need a second chance.
Zaki:Whether it's talking to our friends, doing a task better, or even in prophet Yunus' case, teaching people about Allah. So prophet Yunus went back to his city and guess what? This time, the people listened. They turned back to Allah and they all became better together. So what's the lesson my friends?
Zaki:Even when things seem really tough, like being inside a whale, we should never stop asking Allah for help. Because no matter how big our problems are, Allah is always there, ready to listen and give us another chance. For the parents listening out there, remember, life's whales might come in the form of surprise toddler tantrums, lost socks, or endless dishes. But like prophet Yunus, with a little patience and trust, you'll get through it. And, hey, if it involves a whale, at least you'll have a cool story for the dinner table.
Zaki:Seriously though, let's all agree no one's volunteering to get swallowed by anything. Right? Wow. What an adventure. But guess what?
Zaki:Our next story is about a prophet who went on an incredible journey, one that takes him all the way up to the heavens. What did he see up there? What amazing things did he learn? You'll have to join me next time to find out. Until then, stay awesome, keep smiling, and always trust in Allah.
