Good morning and

welcome to Morning Cereal.

Okay, good morning

and welcome to Tuesday.

And as you know, we're having a little

bit of a different

morning cereal these next two

weeks because we're shooting on location,

so we have a little bit

of a truncated episode

for you today.

But we're still going to bring you the

fun facts and some nostalgia.

So let's just jump right on into it.

Today is National Ginger Snap Day.

So if you're craving those spicy, sweet,

nostalgic cookies, break

out that grandma-approved

cookie jar, right?

It's also National Choke Day.

So here's the joke for you.

My youngest son gave me this one.

What do you call a deer with no eyes?

I have no idea.

That's a good, right?

Right?

All right.

Our favorite red swimsuit-wearing

lifeguard, Pamela Anderson,

said, "Follow your dreams.

You can't go wrong.

There is no one path to happiness."

Now this quote is a great reminder that

fulfillment doesn't

come from a single formula.

It comes from being bold

enough to follow your own.

Well, today's news, facts,

and birthdays are for July 1st.

Welcome to July, everyone.

And we're going to start back in 1863,

when on this date, day

one of the Gettysburg battle

in the Civil War began.

Then in 1867, happy birthday to our

neighbor to the north.

Canada officially becomes a country.

Then we're going to jump up to 1973.

That's when the US, we pulled our forces

out of Vietnam, ending that war era.

Then in 1979 on this date, Walt Disney

World, they opened up EPCOT Center.

Well happy birthday to you.

Today is your birthday.

You share a birthday with Baywatch icon

and 90s TV royalty, Pamela Anderson.

She's 57.

Then a famous doctor and a famous actress

on her own, Liv Tyler.

She's only 47 today.

Well the number one song on this date

back in 1988 was Dirty

Diana by Michael Jackson.

Now Dirty Diana became Michael Jackson's

fifth consecutive

number one single from his

bad album.

And that tied him with his own record set

by Thriller and

surpassing any previous artist

for the most number ones

from one album at a time.

Well in the song, Michael sings about

Dirty Diana, but the

song was not about Princess

Diana.

But ironically Princess Diana once told

him it was her favorite song.

He almost removed it from a set list out

of respect for her

until she actually asked him

not to do it.

Well let's jump into our book review.

Remember we're just kind of giving you

some heads up on some

book reviews while we're

out on location this week.

So check out the Four

Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz.

It's four simple principles to detach

from self-limiting beliefs

and live with more freedom

and authenticity.

So whether you're cracking into that

cookie jar or laughing at

my cheesy jokes or someone

else's, remember that you can do it one

step in front of the other.
