My friends, let's be real. Are you actually building a business or are you just busy? Because answering emails at 11 p.m., checking the MLS 47 times a day, and organizing your CRM for the third time this week feels productive, but is it actually moving your business forward?
Welcome back to Realty Chatter Daily. Quick wins for realtors. I'm your host, Gary McGowan. And today we're breaking down the difference between being busy and being intentional. So you can stop spinning your wheels and start seeing real growth. Here's the insight. Not all work is productive work. A lot of agents fill their days with the tasks that feel important, but don't actually generate income. The agents who thrive, they focus on the highest impact activities.
lead generation, follow ups and relationship building. I remember a time when I convinced myself I was too busy to prospect because you know, I had so many other important things to do. Today's quick win, work on your business, not just in it. By doing these three things, first, prioritize money-making activities. If it doesn't lead to a client, contract, or referral, it shouldn't dominate your schedule. Two, time block like a pro. Schedule lead gen, follow-ups and appointments first. Admin work comes later. And three, measure what matters most. Track real progress, like deals closed or relationships built, not just how busy you were.
And hey, if you ever find yourself spending 45 minutes pinking out the perfect font for an Instagram post, instead of making calls, stop and ask, am I actually working or just avoiding the work that matters? So my friends, let's make today about being intentional, not just busy, focus on income producing activities, take action and watch your business actually grow. Stay motivated. And as always, stay motivated, keep laughing and keep thriving through real connections.
