Genecia Alluora: Hello, gorgeous and welcome to today's episode. I'm Genecia Alluora, author of two best selling books, Make It Happen, and Personal Branding Secrets, a former Miss Singapore, Cafe retail chain owner, Southeast Asia Woman of Excellence 2010, International Progressive Women 2019, and the founder of Soul Rich Woman. Welcome. And today I'm going to share with you that you are totally worth it and confidently beautiful, like Miss Universe and Mr. Manhattan, or a clean shirt, or a new notebook, or a fabulous hair, whatever that you are totally worth it of or confidently beautiful of. Fabulous, freedom, financial independence, whatever that may be to you. You know what? It's entirely up to you. Now, recently I read something that Oprah said that struck me. Apparently rich people will still smell their workout shirts to see if they can wear them again.

Genecia Alluora: She realized that she was doing it one day and said to herself, I deserve to wear a fresh, clean shirt and I'm worth it. This story struck me because for me, my towels is such an everyday thing. When I read this story about what Oprah said, it relates to my own towels because I always smell my towel after using it. And I ask myself, Is this smelly? And if it's smelly easily, then eventually I would change it. But then with that story, I told myself, I deserve to have fresh towels every single day, and I'm worth it. Now, I told this story at my recent workshop, Soul Rich Woman Blueprint, because I utterly believe that great success comes down to self worth. You show other people how to treat you by the way you treat yourself. But also you will need to send a very, very strong message to the universe that you deserve more and are ready for more.

Genecia Alluora: So after I told my audience this story, I actually really just realized it myself. It was like a light bulb that goes off because I got the message myself. Imagine my towels. So I just want to say this, you are worth it and you deserve whatever you want to create in this world. You matter. I totally believe in not being wasteful, but many women take the whole self sacrificing way too far. I should know I once didn't wash my hair for weeks. That's right. So I mean, you stop using conventional shampoos and you let your hair naturally cleanse yourself because I was traveling and I didn't want to just keep washing because I didn't want my curls to go out and my blue color hair, the color to drop off because I was traveling, I was on the road. There's nobody who had the same blue that I needed. So I started using those dry shampoos or even baking soda, natural stuff like flax seeds and lemon. But it would take a while for your hair to get adjusted. So it was like gross.

Genecia Alluora: I mean, it started out just because I was traveling, but ultimately to me, it's just self denial. So I told myself that I really deserve to have an easy life, and I decided to really Google and find all those hair salons that could wash my hair and make sure my color didn't come off and really stick to it and upgrade my mindset and upgrade my life. So I just want to tell you that there's some clues that you might be treating yourself like a poor thing or poor person. It's like a poor mindset. And you know, just one more thing before I move on is that nowadays I go to a salon to wash my hair. 10 bucks, 15 bucks to wash my hair because I know that I deserve to shine and take care of my hair. So whatever the amount maybe, I allow someone to wash my hair regularly and make effort to find the hair salon.

Genecia Alluora: Now, for those of you, there are some clues for you who is listening in right now, for example, you are only shopping in three stores or what we call the second and hand stores when other people in your family get newer and nicer clothes, or because you feel bad about spending money. Your family get newer and nicer clothes and you always get hand me downs. Or sometimes you have this thing, like you try to do everything yourself to do something yourself, like, for example, dying your own hair or tinting your own eyelashes or eyebrows with disastrous results. Saving your own fancy beauty products for the best situation that's going to happen. Or never using your favorite things like your pretty cups, the pretty headbands, or the pretty clothes, or your very nice stationary. Keeping clothes, shoes, or bags that are old, that need repair, or out of date, not in fashion anymore, because it's better than nothing. You know, all these things in themselves aren't bad, because for me, I really believe in conserving certain evergreen clothes. But it just makes you feel different. Perhaps you are already wildly successful in one area of your life, so you would feel guilty if you were great at everything.

Genecia Alluora: So would your friends think that if you not only had money but were super healthy as well. You can have it all or a great marriage and a successful business. We are supporting women to own and love the F word. Being fabulous, having freedom, financial independence and a happy family. But a lot of women think that when they become the little miss perfect, they are being arrogant. They think they are bossy. They think that they become unrelatable. So they don't go all out. They just choose to function in one F word, for example, fabulous. And they are poor in financial independence. Their marriage is not really amazing as well. But I want to tell you here, you can have it all. No guilt, no sacrifice required. Just decide that you are worth living an amazing life to be confidently beautiful because you are worth it. However, this starts with you. The universe isn't going to treat you like a VV VIP until you do. So celebrate and anchor positive experiences. Tell yourself, Well done, babe. Well done, Genecia. Well done, insert your name. So really, you see measurable results in the real world when you show self nourishing action.

Genecia Alluora: This is a sign to the universe that that you are ready. For example, putting on moisturizer or sunblock, or as big as booking a stylist for a makeover. Remember, it's how it makes you feel. Feel. The feeling is very important. Remember, good feelings attract good feelings, and that's how the law of attraction works. And like I said, if you do this, you might just attract a new opportunity that will push you to the new path. Well, it's not going to happen outside yourself. In fact, the first step is deciding whether you're worth it, whether you deserve to own your F word, whether you are confidently beautiful and then you'll be proved right every time.
