What is Clydesdale Media Podcast?

We cover the sport of CrossFit from all angles. We talk with athletes, coaches and celebrities that compete and surround in the sport of CrossFit at all levels. We also bring you Breaking News, Human Interest Stories and report on the Methodology of CrossFit. We also use the methodology to make ourselves the fittest we can be.

Today is Tuesday.

It is the beginning of a long podcast

day for me.

We've got this show, we've got Yay Sports,

and we've got the Sunday Night Crew

breaking down WFP tonight.

So let's get it rolling.

Uh, uh, uh.

So when that lunch bell rings, yeah,

you know what to do.

Hit play, stay strong,

let the park carry you.

Glide sale, cowboy, yeah,

we stay on track.

Midday Kings of the mic, yeah,

we always come back.

Lunch with the

From the gym to the screen, yeah,

we cover it all.

Midday motivation every time you press

call.

Lunch with the Clydesdale.

Cowboy bring the heat.

Crossfit, boobies, music on repeat.

High-fiber hustle, yeah,

we building that brand.

Grab a plate, tune in now,

you part of the fam.

It's lunchtime!

What is going on, everyone?

Welcome to Lunch with the Clydesdale and

the Cowboy.

Oh, and Vicki, apparently.

How about that?

Yeah.

She just popped in the back door again.

Yeah, well, she's sneaky.

I heard the screen door slam.

Mm-hmm.

That's how I knew.

You know, a whole lot of, oh, shit,

oh, shit, oh, shit, oh, shit, oh, shit.

Yeah.

Like me at, like,

you know i never ever got away with

that my mom was the biggest night owl

ever and there was no way i was

going to sneak in at night without her

knowing it wasn't my mom it was my

dad so once my mom was asleep she's

asleep like she's out like she's out like

a light it's ridiculous but my dad would

be up and he would just be sitting

there in the dark and sitting

Come in, just open the door real slow,

and he'll be like, you're a little late,

huh?

And I was like, fuck, yes.

Night, going to bed.

All right.

Yeah, I'd get home.

My mom's there watching the Rockford Files

and Barnaby Jones reruns.

Yeah.

And if you know any of those shows,

you are as old as me.

Oh, the Rockford Files.

I love it.

Jim Rockford.

Yeah.

So, yeah, fun day, fun day.

I'm going to get into this real quick

and then I'm going to get past it

because I just I don't want to talk

about it.

We have said from the beginning on this

show that this whole media beef fight,

whatever you want to call it, I don't.

to me it makes absolutely no damn sense

for the media to become the news no

that's a problem actually right like yeah

like we shouldn't be the news we should

be the the people reporting on the news

or the people sharing the news or whatever

right absolutely so i've said from the

beginning i have friends on both sides of

this argument

To be honest,

we are not in any of the circles.

None of the circles.

Have I made a conscious decision to not

be in a circle?

Maybe.

But I also haven't been asked.

And that's okay too.

It's a neither here nor there thing.

We haven't.

You haven't.

I know I haven't.

Like you said, been asked at all.

nor have I made an intentional thing to

do one or the other.

I am perfectly,

and I think I can speak for you

here,

I'm perfectly content just seeing it all

play out and wonder why it's even a

thing.

It's so frustrating because it is...

As everybody's saying in the chat,

it distracts from the athletes and trying

to grow the sport.

And I've been saying this for weeks.

The fact that in Dave's Week in Review,

every week we have to have a John

Young comment.

It's the same John Young comment.

It happened a month and a half ago.

Can we just move on?

Right?

Can we just move on?

Absolutely.

So last night I'm watching the review of

the Week in Review.

finishing up some stuff to prep for this

week.

And I hear my name.

And I'm like, wait, what?

Well, not my name, but my moniker.

Correct.

And that Savant said,

and then I was reminded that I got

Clydesdale credentials for the games.

And so I was like, wait,

how am I ending up in this whole

apology explanation thing as to what's

going on with Hiller and Young and John

Young and Savan and Taylor and all this

stuff that's been going on?

How did I show up there?

And what I will say is,

That's not one hundred percent accurate,

but it is somewhat accurate.

I have had credentials at the CrossFit

Games since twenty twenty one.

Twenty twenty one.

I got them through morning Chaka.

Twenty twenty two and beyond.

I got credentials via the Clydesdale Media

Company and the reputation that we have

built.

What happened last year was.

was i got into my feelings about who

was saying they had um accessed uh that

enhanced access thing yeah i was talking

to jenny about it when i talked to

jenny

I was just saying,

I can't believe they got it and I

didn't.

And I didn't really like,

I wasn't doing it for any certain purpose.

I was just venting to someone I considered

a friend.

It's twenty minutes later and I get

notification that I now have enhanced

access to the games.

So I went from regular media credential to

enhanced access.

I get that message from Siobhan and from

Jenny back that I now have it.

And then I get the email from Jenna

Hauka saying that I have it.

So all this happened within like,

twenty minutes.

Siobhan and Jenny both said to me,

please do not mention how this happened.

Do not say who got you or who

played a role in getting you this enhanced

access.

And because that is the way I roll

and I don't share information that I'm

asked not to share,

I never shared that information.

Even though I felt weird about it,

not being able to thank them for that

at the time and felt like a little

bit of an imposter when I got the

enhanced access and people were

congratulating me.

Right.

But it did happen that way.

so that is one that is one hundred

percent the account of what happened i was

asked not to share it but now that

it's being shared i feel like i need

to explain what went down please don't

share this until i do in the middle

of a rant about other stuff that'd be

fantastic so it's fine it's out it's over

it's done i don't understand why

You and I already had this conversation.

I'll bring that up again.

Moving right along.

How about that?

And this year, I got access again.

I got access for Ishmael.

And honestly, last year,

I got two enhanced accesses.

I got myself and Ishmael both got enhanced

access.

This year,

we got a lanyard to be down in

the pit and the warm-up area.

I gave that to Ishmael because his content

is way better than mine.

Turns out he's an actual photographer.

Right, right.

So I let him go nuts.

That was just through our normal

application this year.

And so there it is.

So I just wanted that to be understood

because I have been getting DMs and texts

this morning like, wait,

Savan got you access last year?

He got me enhanced access.

I had access.

I had credentials.

I just didn't have enhanced.

But I do want to say this too.

The reason I hate this fight is both

Savan and Hiller have been a huge part

in the success of this show.

So Vaughn has recommended this show to

people on his own show.

He has had me on his show.

And he has talked about things that we've

talked about.

And all of that has elevated this show

in certain respects.

On the other side,

Hiller has shared videos that we've put

out.

He has clipped us.

He has used us as an example in

things.

And all of that has increased our views,

our engagement, our subscribers,

all of that.

So between the both of them,

they've both helped elevate this show in

some ways.

But never have we been in the circle

of either side.

Nope.

And I appreciate both of them.

I appreciate both of them for what they

have done for me.

And I consider all of them friends.

Do I talk to them every day?

No.

I talk to Corey every day.

I talk to Jamie every day.

I talk to Carolyn every day.

And I talk to Vicki every day.

That's who I talk to every day.

Everybody else I talk to,

I see them at the games.

We interact.

I am cordial with everyone.

And I hate that everybody's fighting.

Again,

it comes back to what are we here

for?

What is our purpose?

And my purpose is, one,

to have a way as an outlet of

a dream that I had when I was

sixteen years old.

And that was to be a sports broadcaster.

And this is a way to do that.

And the other thing is I love these

athletes.

The more I get to know them,

the more I love them,

and the more I want to promote them.

So that's what we're here for.

And if you ask me not to say

anything, I'm not going to say anything.

And that's a reputation I've built with

the athletes.

Hey,

and I can confirm that because Scott's

told me a whole bunch of stuff that

he's heard from a source,

and I still don't know who those sources

are.

And I talk to this dude every single

day and confirm.

If you tell Scott something in confidence,

he is going to keep it in confidence.

He's going to take that shit to his

grave.

Unless you say it out on a podcast

live for thousands of people.

Well, I mean,

you just made it fair game at that

point, right?

That's a different thing.

So and the last thing is the reason

I do this is because CrossFit saved my

life.

I started this whole methodology with my

next door neighbor in two thousand eleven

because I was five hundred plus pounds.

And it saved my life and it means

a lot to me and I want to

pay it back in some form or fashion

in any way I can.

just here so i don't get fined uh

amanda fillers i have plenty of divorce

friends and i'm still friends with both

sides same same so i'll give her that

um we we have uh some divorce friends

that we we want to pick the side

on but there was a good reason for

it uh me too scott i came into

this space because i love crossfit i liked

all the shows and people i don't want

to see it go south you'll neither

And I think that's why it was so

refreshing at WFP.

And so because there was none of that

at WFP.

All I had to do was turn off

the comments.

and everything was fine right oh yeah

because i was in a bubble i was

at wfp yeah and all i had to

do was shut off the comments in the

outside world and it made the wfp one

of the most enjoyable experiences i've had

I do the same thing every year for

the games.

And I've said this before.

I told Garrett and MNS,

I'm pretty sure I've said this on the

show,

when the games run around or actually any

live competition that is being streamed,

I tell myself,

I'm not going to watch the comments.

I'm not going to put the comments up.

I'm not going to put the comments up

because I know what's going to happen.

Right?

Everybody needs to bitch.

It's the most ridiculous thing on the face

of the planet.

So I turn them off for a little

while and then I go,

let me go see what everybody's saying.

I just, it breaks,

I break down and then Jesus H Christ.

It just, it continually happens.

It continues to happen.

Who can't see stuff?

Oh, what's going on?

Oh, man, man, man, man, man, man, man,

man, man.

I'm like, bro,

y'all need to do like lighten up.

Good.

And everybody is like a dog with a

bone.

Oh, yes.

That they will never let go.

Ever.

They latch on to one thing.

Like the funny thing is the garage

affiliates that comes every week in

review, right?

That's the funny thing.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Like that will be in every week in

review.

That is a running joke.

That is a running joke that has been

happening for shit months and months now.

And it's, it is what it is.

Somebody's going to bring it up.

And I think Daisy, well,

Dave's playing into it at this point,

right?

Because it's,

Now he sees something and he's like garage

affiliates.

Okay.

Cause he's said it on his weekend review

that he's picking these comments.

So like you're picking this stuff about

the, the,

the garage gym affiliates and now,

and it's,

and it's now it's Hobart's garage gym

affiliates because they just,

everybody decided that apparently Hobart's

in charge of it,

whether he wants to be or not,

which is even funnier in my opinion.

Yeah.

And that's the funny dog with a bone.

There are so many,

so many dogs with a bone that are

not funny.

No.

That we just cannot forgive anybody for.

And it's utterly ridiculous.

Like the fact that there is a John

Young comment every week in review now.

That happened five weeks ago.

Five weeks ago.

And we're still talking about it.

Yeah.

Let it go.

I'm pretty sure John's over it at this

point.

Unless we have a flux capacitor,

we cannot change what happened.

You need a flux capacitor and a DeLorean.

The stainless steel construction allows it

to conduct the electricity better.

The one point twenty one gigawatts

throwing it out there.

I have a version of the DeLorean,

but I don't fit in it.

You need a bigger Lego version of it.

Social media has given everyone a platform

to complain about everything.

Life's so much easier without it.

Everybody's got a voice and they think

that it needs to be heard.

And then you get influencers and people

that the algorithm throws at you and

telling you that your voice matters.

Oh, your voice matters.

Absolutely, your voice matters.

And people believe that shit.

And so they get on there and they

hit caps lock.

I'm going to yell it to the rooftops.

And I'm going to say it forty seven

times in a live chat.

where you can't not see it at that

point and it's like dude go outside

breathe some fresh air i want to affiliate

my garage fake savan i want to affiliate

my garage but i don't need to ask

the question every week to see the update

no i think they are well aware that

there are people out there that want to

affiliate their garage

And I am sure that they are working

on it in some capacity.

And at some point, we'll get noticed that,

hey, you can now affiliate your garage.

It's like the kids in the backseat of

the car on a road trip going,

are we there yet?

Are we there yet?

Are we there yet?

Are we there yet?

Are we there yet?

That is so true.

Bro,

we're going to get there when we get

there.

And if y'all don't shut up,

I'm going to turn this car around right

now.

Absolutely insane, dude.

I take offense to this.

Influencers,

a made-up job made to make people feel

important.

Vicky, like,

changing the comment on me mid-sentence.

While I'm reading.

It takes forever for me to read something.

I'm finally reading,

and then it gets taken away halfway

through the sentence.

Vicky, you know the man gave up.

Like,

this is the only kind of reading he

gets.

Let him finish his sentence.

Why do you think the...

Son of a bitch.

What the hell?

Perfect.

It never goes anywhere.

Money.

As in CrossFit HQ wants full box affiliate

fees, not a fraction.

They can put rules around it and

stipulations that you cannot coach anybody

out of your garage affiliate,

that you cannot run it as a CrossFit

gym, that it is just in name only.

And here's a little package.

Thank you for your support.

Basically,

we're allowing you to do the open in

your garage.

Five hundred dollars,

and it's a way to make money other

than through the normal traditional

affiliate fees.

Right.

Anyway, moving right along.

I'm going to hit this starred comment and

hopefully it doesn't change.

Take a deep breath.

It is kind of crazy that a CrossFit

coach with a podcast can occupy that much

space in the heads of leaders at a

two hundred million dollar company.

Maybe that energy would be better served

focusing on growing CrossFit.

I don't think he occupies that much space

in anybody's head.

I think it's just right there in front

of him.

So he just grabs a hold to it

because it's right there in front of him.

It's the same dog with a bone comment

that Scott was making analogy that Scott

was making earlier.

Like, Oh, it's right there.

Let me just go ahead and address this.

Right.

Anyway, moving right along.

So that is that,

that everything is out there.

I just wanted that to be cleared up

and I want to move on to the

fun shit we normally do on this show.

Why I'm here, baby.

So there it is.

I watched a movie last night called Beast.

Oh, with the lion that was hunting people?

That one?

No.

Okay.

No,

this is a movie about MMA in Australia.

Oh, not the same beast.

Got it.

And the script was written by Russell

Crowe.

Oh, I do like Russell Crowe.

And Russell Crowe's in it.

i would say he's not a major uh

yes let's uh let's get the uh vicky

is sabotaging scott today yes she slid in

the back door late and she's just going

wild and crazy back there it's amazing um

yeah beast that's it oh yeah i saw

the trailer for that i didn't know i

didn't get a chance to see it look

pretty good yeah crow's like a uh like

a coach well

I don't want to do any spoilers.

He does not play a major role.

If you're watching this to watch Russell

Crowe, you will be sorely disappointed.

Mark's got the least popular Hemsworth.

I'm assuming he means Liam.

No, it's Luke.

Luke Hemsworth.

Oh!

Yeah, even less popular than Liam.

That's less popular than Liam.

Damn.

Yeah, it...

And he plays even a smaller part than

Russell Crowe.

So the two names that anybody even has

any idea of are non-existent in this movie

for the most part.

He got Maximus Decimus Marinius in his fat

days and one of the Hemsworth boys that

nobody actually knows who he is.

Cool.

But it turned out, like, as it started,

I was going, oh, man,

this is not going to be good.

Right.

And then it kind of caught some momentum

and it got... All right.

Let's be honest.

Anytime you're watching a fighter movie,

you're thinking, okay, here we go,

Rocky XLVII.

Yeah.

Yeah.

And it does have a rocky formula to

it because it is a fight movie and

you're going to get that.

Unless you are – what's the MMA movie

with the brothers?

Oh.

And it's – Tom Hardy and – Yeah,

Tom Hardy.

That's it.

Gosh darn it.

can see that warrior warrior warrior yep

warrior yeah so that one i think is

not in a rocky formula at all because

of the brother story and all of that

stuff this kind of goes down that same

path as rocky but i like by the

end i was i mean i was like

goose bumping and okay really but i'm a

sucker for that kind of movie i and

i will admit it so if you're taking

my recommendation if you like rocky you

are going to like this movie

Fair point.

Are you caught up on Green Lantern yet?

I am not caught up on anything.

I will keep my spoilers to myself then.

Yeah, so I am home alone this week.

My wife is in Pennsylvania with her

parents.

Walter the dog is with her.

So I'm truly like in the house by

myself.

Are there burglars trying to get into your

house?

Do you need to set up an elaborate

system of booby traps to keep them out

of the house?

I have my matchbox cars at the front

door.

Sweet.

I have paint cans hanging from a string.

You got to get one of them,

the little heater thing to put on the

door to just heat it all the way

up to grab it.

And I have my cutout of the rock

on a turntable.

I love the fact that he had a

life-size Michael Jordan cutout and just

happened to be around.

And like,

let me go ahead and put this on

this train set that I'm going to make

up and just...

And so it looks like there's people in

the house.

Like that was...

or you could go part two and just

uh get the tv turned up really really

really loud like i said in part one

two um and watch uh angels with dirty

was it angels with was it dirty souls

i don't know oh man you filthy yeah

uh yeah i know what you're talking about

i don't know what the movie is though

merry christmas you filthy animals it's a

movie they made up for the movie

Like they shot that specifically for the

movie.

But I think it's Angels with Filthy Souls.

I think that's the name of the one

that he was watching.

Beast is not like the wrestler.

That's a much different storyline as well.

And I still get grossed out when I

think about his deli job.

Just saying.

Yeah.

Um, I watched the Vince young doc.

I thought it was good.

Yay.

Sports and the whisper man.

Very good.

I've not seen the whisper, man.

It just came out.

It's um, Oh, what is his name?

He's.

Eighty-three.

We're a three year old, but you know,

the narrow, the narrow,

the narrow and somebody else.

Uh, yeah,

you need to narrow down your eighty-three

year olds with children.

I know that's my fault.

No, I can't do him anymore.

The older he gets,

the more he annoys me for whatever reason.

De Niro?

Yeah,

I like young De Niro or younger De

Niro.

Heat was probably peak De Niro as far

as I'm concerned.

I will say this about Beast.

An echo bike makes an appearance.

A rogue echo bike is in Beast.

they beat it to death with a bat

because that seems like a it's the

training montage if you're using rocky

lingo i love montages just in general

training montage travel montage like any

kind of month i'm a big fan of

montages yeah well and then like in rocky

four

Oh,

that's the best training montage of all

time.

Right.

Argue with a wall, chat.

And the music for that is called the

training montage.

Well, yeah.

Because why would it not be?

Because it is the training montage.

Absolutely, dude.

You got Ivan Drago with all the hooked

up to all the things and like doing

all the, and it's all the, you know,

straight up eighties,

like neon lights everywhere and shit like

that.

And Rocky's in a Siberia out in a

cold somewhere.

Punch it on a log.

It was fantastic.

Echo bike is also in a recent NFL

clip with Micah Parsons.

I thought that was the assault bike.

I just saw that this morning.

Yeah, I didn't watch it yet.

They said Assault Bike, but I mean,

even though we know Assault is an actual

company, I mean,

but it's a generic term for air bike

or whatever at this point.

Best training montage.

Carolyn Prevost,

the infamous Carolyn Prevost,

thinks that Rocky IV is the best Rocky

movie, and she is wrong.

She's wrong about that,

but she is right about the fact that

it's got the best training montage of all

time.

Yes.

Drago also strict presses like four

hundred pounds.

Yes.

Yeah.

If you have not seen the arm and

hammer breakdown of the training montage

from Rocky four.

It's out on YouTube.

It is fifteen minutes of pure gold.

I watched that last year sometime.

I'm glad you brought it up.

I need to watch it again.

It is top notch.

Go find it.

It's not hard to find at all.

You literally just search Arm & Hammer

Training Montage and it will come up.

I promise you.

And he analyzes all of the fitness

movements from the training montage.

It's so good.

And he's the one that first told me

that Drago is strict pressing,

and people are standing three feet in

front of him when he drops it.

Yeah.

And you're standing there like, hmm.

Yeah.

So there's a, there's a meme somewhere,

dude.

And I do not know.

I don't remember.

I had it at some point,

but the magic school bus,

I don't know if you can't have watched

the magic school bus,

but I'm all about reading rainbow,

but okay.

I understand that.

But Mrs. Frizzle is a cartoon.

She drives the magic school bus and

there's a, a,

a segment in it or one of the

episodes or whatnot where like she benches

four plates.

So speaking of that,

I actually have something for that.

Rainbow this bitch.

I will say, yeah.

So Ramirez has got a point.

The kickboxer train montage with

Jean-Claude Van Damme is good too.

Not just the kickboxer one.

kickboxer one's great just because like

when he blood sport blood sport is also

good but the kickboxer one when like oh

boy's got him tied up into four different

ropes and he's just like he finally just

pulls them all back down and the thing

falls over yeah and when he starts kicking

the bamboo like this like this because

he's belgium and they sound french it's

fantastic blood sport is fantastic as

outstanding blood sport

The Bloodsport fight montage,

where they're showing,

instead of watching everybody fight,

they're just showing highlights from all

different matches.

I could watch just that and be like,

yep, I'm moving right along.

Having said that, if Bloodsport's on,

I'm watching it until they hit.

The worst training montage ever is Daniel

LaRusso hitting the wooden dummy in Karate

Kid III.

Yeah, man, Daniel LaRusso.

Yeah, me and Daniel Lewis.

Me and Jameson were looking for something

to watch.

That'd be my eight-year-old, FYI,

on Netflix.

And Karate Kid, the next,

or whatever it is, the brand new one,

where it's Jackie Chan

And then Daniel La Russa.

I can't watch it, dude.

I can't.

So, dude, look, on the preview,

it was enough for me.

I'm like, no.

Because you're going to tell me Jackie

Chan needs to go to,

and I don't know what his name is

in the actual movie, so forgive me, y'all.

But you're going to tell me Jackie Chan

is going to fly to California because he

needs Daniel La Russa's help to train this

kid.

And, oh, you know Kung Fu,

but you don't know Miyagi-san Karate.

Yeah.

No,

his name is Daniel LaRusso in the movie.

It is a karate kid because Jackie Chan

did the, uh, the next version.

We should have been called the Kung Fu

kid, FYI, but whatever.

But somehow I don't think that Jackie Chan

is going to need help from Daniel LaRusso

of all people to come train this kid.

Just throwing it out there.

Probably got in trouble for kicking my

cousin as a kid practicing karate moves.

Yeah, absolutely.

Yeah.

Everybody wanted to do like the Van Damme,

like maybe he'll hit people and then goes

for like thirty seconds,

like thinking that that was a legitimate

fight move.

It's not.

FYI,

you're not going to want to just stand

there.

My brother and I watched Bloodsport

unsupervised as kids,

and fighting in the living room was peak

childhood.

Absolutely.

I mean, wax on, wax off.

That's definitely been clipped.

Oh, my goodness.

Yep, wax on, wax off.

You heard it here first,

ladies and gentlemen.

Scott Schweitzer.

anyway oh it's gonna get clips then you

gotta worry about that good night oh i

can't even read it now maybe that's why

he was going to daniel larusa he needed

somebody to whack someone and whack off oh

god

Oh, I'm glad.

OK,

so we can we can we can move

right right through this.

Have you seen that clip?

I have.

I just he's like,

you think you could beat Amy Kringle in

a fight?

And she's like, no, no.

He's like,

what about of all the people he could

have picked?

Right.

CrossFit mom, everybody's CrossFit mom.

And she goes, no.

And he goes, what about Justin Madero?

She's like, yeah,

I think I could beat Justin Madero in

a fight.

And I was like, holy shit.

Yeah, I can't wait for that full episode.

Ariel Lowen, nope.

Andy Kringle.

Nope.

Justin Medeiros?

Yeah,

I'd probably beat up Justin Medeiros.

And the clip does go on to say

that Hurst heard to say that Justin

doesn't look like a fighter.

Right.

Which, to be fair, he doesn't.

But that dude wrestled at a pretty high

level for a very long time.

So,

I need to share this before we get

way too past what you said a while

ago,

which was way before my whack-off comment.

And so...

if i don't know if you've seen this

uh woolly memeth did a did a meme

of doppelgangers damn that's a good one

That's a good one.

Uh, James Sprague, Nicolas Cage.

It is way too, way too good.

That's yeah.

I don't know where he found that picture,

like who Nicolas Cage was playing in that

one.

Cause he doesn't have that much hair,

but Holy smokes.

That's good.

I think this is the,

the one with about him, massive talent,

I think is that, Oh,

the unvariable weight of massive,

massive talent.

Yeah.

That's what him and, um,

What's his name?

Pedro Pascal.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Captain America, Rich Froning.

I'm not sure the looks are there,

but I get the sentiment.

Right.

Damn.

I mean,

you could have went John Cena like that

because that would have made a whole

lot... But damn, that's messed up.

Justin and Billy Ray Cyrus.

I always get...

um oh what's his name morgan wallen

probably mostly because they just they

both have mullets but i understand that

one there's your uh magic there she is

there's miss frizzle bench and four plate

y'all so that's why i wanted to show

it here's uh josh bridges and uh

okay uh what's his name leonidas yeah from

three hundred right uh i think he's just

trying to be funny here within cruel yeah

yeah and then tia the goat that's easy

um the resemblance is uncanny i do also

did you see this

LSU skipped over number five in its

countdown to the season opener and just

put four plus.

You can hate us.

All you want.

But we are going to throw it.

Whoever's in charge of their social media

is killing it.

Absolutely killing it.

And you know I'm addicted to pickles,

right?

Oh, absolutely.

Having a bad day?

jeez it seems a bit excessive but i

mean i got you and then the last

thing i wanted to show from this real

quick is uh lauren smith took notes during

the wfp and they are awesome uh no

the the this is a gym activation the

mom of an affiliate owner won the raffle

and said rather than the price she just

wanted a hug from anola kai oh

Guy Mejeres brought his dog for the first

time.

Everybody got facelikes.

That's fine.

In an interesting conversation about hot

dogs,

Laura Horvath estimates she could eat a

maximum of six in one sitting.

Okay.

That is some useful information right

there.

I'm not as much into pocket pickles,

Trent.

You don't want pocket pickles.

That's a bad idea.

Of course.

Yes, Trish, we know.

Trish would be addicted to this.

We know.

Yeah, we know.

um Wyatt Taylor had a fan club with

twenty plus people it was they were so

loud I don't even know who Wyatt Taylor

is but it was a salvation every time

he took the floor but apparently he has

a fan club you swear to god Rich

Froning just took the floor as loud as

the crowd got that's outstanding I love

that love that

Yeah,

Laura's now known as the glizzy queen.

Glizzy queen.

Note to self,

if inviting Laura to a barbecue,

make sure you have enough hot dogs.

Does she eat the hot dog sideways?

Does she think the hot dog is a

sandwich?

I'm not getting into that debate.

No, don't worry, Joseph will.

It's fine.

Anulakai's a menace, but we love him,

so does Jack Farlow.

Keep an eye on that budding bromance.

Aww.

And you see a normal cut.

He photobombed James Sprague by doing a

cannonball.

This is why we can't have nice things.

Is that not the best?

That's amazing, dude.

Look,

that's why you don't want me at your

competition and have me around when stuff

like that's happening because I'm doing

the same thing.

Me and Enola Kai,

we right here when it comes to that

kind of shit.

I will one hundred percent cannonballs in

the water while somebody's trying to do

something.

Amanda Jobs won the ten K for the

women at thirty nine fourteen.

And she did it without wearing a watch

for pacing.

Dude, thirty nine, thirty nine, fourteen.

That's fast.

Oh, yeah.

She beat half the men.

Yeah, more than half.

Emma Lawson was doing social media with a

non-digital camera, an actual film camera.

Wow.

For Jack Farlow.

I didn't even know those things still

existed.

Uh, Bailey rail.

That's, that's not a board.

Um,

Luca Jukic walked past her on day one

and said, don't worry,

you'll interview me tomorrow.

And we actually did.

I like that.

Uh, I like that attitude.

And the best thing you may have missed

from the live stream is this.

tutor and james trying to learn the gi

dance i mean james is close to tutor

has no rhythm dude has no rhythm

whatsoever that dude is white all the way

through good lord look at that

Oh, sub-forty is decent.

Doug Reed, when I was running a lot,

like before I started doing CrossFit,

this was forever ago.

My goal,

one of my goals was to run a

sub-forty-five in K. So, yeah,

I'd say sub-forty is pretty decent.

I know people that run thirty-six.

That's fast, like super fast, thirty-six,

thirty-five.

But to run thirty-nine and then go and

complete the rest of the events at WFP

over the weekend, that's ridiculous.

Boy said Roman was on pace for thirty

seven.

Yeah, that's fast.

If you didn't see the boys interrupted,

James also talks about that.

He got to a point where someone said,

hurry up, you can catch Roman.

And he was thinking,

there's no way I'm catching Roman.

And then he turned the corner into the

tunnel and there was Roman limping.

And then he just said,

I just felt terrible.

Terrible.

Yeah, I imagine so.

Yeah,

Tudor looked like Elaine from Seinfeld.

Yes.

Oh.

I'm not saying it's because Olive's over

here talking about I wouldn't say whatever

James was doing was rhythm.

James was way closer than whatever Tudor

was doing.

Yeah.

Tudor looks like that's the first time

he's ever tried to move his shoulders.

It's all about where the bar is set.

Yeah, absolutely.

That's wild, dude.

Sub-forty is decent, but, of course,

nowhere near elite.

That's why I'd love – I have loved

to see them run a hundred meters to

compare with elite sprinters rather than

NFL players.

Well, Lito,

the idea is that the combo is a

standardized test with all these parts

already put in it, right?

So you can just take that and go,

okay, these guys, they're super athletic,

right?

Dude, we're seeing the robot effects.

Oh.

Can I just say our chat are the

best in the world?

Absolutely.

Absolutely.

Their contributions to the humor of this

show.

It's unbeatable.

It's unbeatable.

Now we say stupid shit that allows for

that, but Oh yeah.

Like wax on whack off that will now

probably be stuck with us.

Never going to go anywhere.

Never going to go anywhere.

It's so fantastic.

Anyway,

sitting here trying to actually explain

why they did the combine, and it's like,

oh, yeah, no.

He absolutely was.

Never mind.

I'm going to just stop trying to explain

why they use that,

and we'll just move on from there.

Tessa just wants to keep coaching.

Got to be loose.

Arms so breezy.

Right.

She's not wrong.

She's not wrong.

But I mean, look,

it was their first lesson.

Okay.

Did you know how to snatch your first

time you ever grabbed a barbell?

No, you did not.

No, you did not.

She's just given coaching cues.

So if Tudor's watching,

next time he'll know.

If Tudor's watching, he's probably loose.

Arms are breezy.

Tudor's watching.

He's probably never going to talk to me

again because he's the whitest dude I've

ever seen.

He just started trying to learn how to

dance that day.

He will never take a selfie with Winter

because Robot Olympics is definitely out.

That's fantastic.

Is Tessa the lady who says this is

hip-hop?

This is hip-hop.

I hope so.

That would be awesome information to find

out.

Do you know who Tessa is?

She's Ray Gunn from the Breakdance

Olympics.

Oh, my Lord.

I have seen some awkward looking shit in

my lifetime, but that ray gun lighting,

I don't have the words to describe what

that was.

I don't think most people do.

Good night.

It helps to have Guy's physique.

Oh, is that what it is?

Is that what it is?

I'll tell you what.

if I could have any physique in the

world to put my head on top of,

I would pick geese.

It used to be neomatics.

Now it's geese.

I was about to say, dude, neomatics.

Um,

John Parra,

the dude that won the snatch ladder in

like twenty sixteen.

I just kept walking up the one who

quietly won it while the other race was

going on.

That dude was built like an action figure.

I'm going to tell you right now.

Peak Rich Fronin.

It looked like he could have won a

bodybuilding competition at any given

point in time.

But I understand your neomatics

competition.

I get the neomatics thing.

I really do.

You just hate Guy.

You don't want to give Guy any love.

It's all because he asked for a bicycle

three years ago.

You're the dog with the bone.

That he never got.

No.

If I had to pick out of the

current crop right now,

no disrespect to Guy,

but Quinn Robinson...

It's not even a choice, dude.

Even with his torn pec, Quinn is,

he is absolutely,

that dude is ripped beyond belief.

Holy smokes, it's Ryan.

I think you are just,

you are just a key hater.

Call it what you want, homeboy.

You just will not give that man his

due.

Well,

everybody thought he was going to win the

.

And then Quinn Robinson, again,

stepped up and went ahead and snatched

that out of everybody's hands.

Yep, Quinn is jacked.

This is how CrossFit markets to these

young people make you think you could look

like this.

Then after ten years, you realize,

like I did,

that you'll never look like that.

I got down to eight percent body fat

in twenty twenty three.

I did look like that for a little

while, about three,

four months worth of it's hard to it's

hard to maintain if you're not training at

that level.

But it's a possibility.

It's happened.

Dallin Pepper is close, a close second.

Dallin's ripped and Dallin's huge.

Like, that's a lot of man.

That dude would run through a wall.

He probably walked through the wall.

Hey.

Where else do you get comparisons of men's

physiques in this space?

Nowhere I can think of offhand.

Did you see this too?

The post of the chest x-ray showing the

pit bull?

Yeah.

He got that dog in him.

Got that dog in him.

I love that.

Really,

he's one of my favorites right now, dude.

Just attitude alone.

Like, for him to come out and say,

like, I knew that there was levels,

he said,

but then I got on the floor and

I realized, oh,

there's even levels out here.

Okay, got it.

Ortega was actually kind of embedded with

Quinn at WFP.

Yeah, good.

As someone who has been – so I

was embedded with Hattie Kenyo at the

games last year.

Girl gets sick as a dog,

and now I'm trying to make a documentary

on her,

and I feel like I'm just an inconvenience

during her sick time.

I can't imagine how Ortega felt.

Dude rips his pec,

has to head to the ER,

has to get all the stuff.

How do you –

keep the vibes going for that the whole

weekend.

But Ortega was there, man,

chugging coffee like a madman,

trying to get shit done.

I would imagine.

I could be way off because obviously I

don't know the dude,

but just from the stuff that – his

attitude,

seeing him in various interviews and

whatnot, he seems like Quinn does,

that he's one of these kind of guys.

He just rolls with the punches.

Like, oh, yep, tore my pec.

All right, cool.

Still taking the floor so I can get

– so I can have a chance to

make it to Copenhagen because he put up

a picture of him in slides just taking

the floor.

I'm just going to stand out there and

hand my scorecard to my judge,

and I'm going to be right here if

y'all need me.

Well, and here's the deal with that.

There is no minimum work requirement.

We kind of talked about this yesterday,

right?

You're just trying to stack points.

Yep.

And so many people had withdrawn at that

point that he's going to get like five

points.

Why not go get him?

Go get him.

Or take a say is a hundred percent

his fault.

Yeah.

I do want to say this because in

the dense updates and the narrative has

been around the WFP that so many injuries,

right?

Yes,

we knew there were going to be hamstring

pulls.

Let's be honest.

We knew that, right?

So other than that,

there was the torn pec,

there was a torn Achilles,

and there was cramps.

Which is not an injury.

It's cramps.

Right, right.

Of the women,

all fifty athletes finished the weekend.

Yeah.

Fifty for fifty.

So this narrative that there's so many

injuries.

Which is unheard of, by the way.

Yeah, that's silly.

Isn't quite the narrative that everybody

wants it to be.

No.

Yes,

physically you're looking at people

hobbling because of a hamstring pull.

But that shit happens all the time.

Rogue had as many catastrophic injuries

with Achilles alone two years ago with

Heinrich and Gabby.

The same event.

So...

It's all about your perspective.

And I can say in the minute,

in the moment,

you felt like there was a lot going

on until you kind of stepped back and

looked at the overall leaderboard.

And when fifty of fifty women start and

finish an event,

a three-day brutal workout event,

it's not that bad.

No.

And when there's nothing else going on,

And this is all you have to focus

on because unless you're, you know,

at Xenon or keeping up with their live

leaderboard because there's no stream,

then it's really easy to just kind of

pick it apart and go, well,

Pat tore his ACL and then the thing

fell on him and then Quinn tore his

pec and then these people tweaked

hamstrings.

Yeah, a lot of them tweaked hamstrings.

It's not hard to do,

especially not with the sprinting.

Sounds like people just need to do

Carolyn's plyo program.

As it turns out, support my friend.

know the funny thing is in training

carolyn tweaked her hamstring it happens

it happens ouch and i just whacked off

my elbow jesus that is fantastic

Some women were already injured going in,

i.e.

Ella Wilkinson,

and still competed for points.

Same could be said about the men,

but in their case, they were more unlucky.

Yeah.

You know what it comes down to, Scott?

It's sports.

Not enough thirdsy consumption on the male

side.

Great point, Joseph Ramirez.

So if you don't want to suffer an

Achilles tendon tear or a torn pec or

a pulled hamstring and hell,

probably most likely not get another

cramp, get a good night's sleep,

get some rest,

get some recovery with the best tool in

the business, Thirdsy.com backslash Jazzy.

Use promo code Jazzy at checkout and you

get fifteen percent off your order.

Easy day, folks.

Look,

Meredith says she tweaked her hamstring

and walked across her living room.

That sounds like me.

Climbed the stairs.

Damn.

Yeah.

I did air squats at my desk a

couple weeks ago,

and I thought somebody hit me in the

back with a two-by-four.

I ended up going to get treatment behind

it.

So, like, shit happens.

Meredith was playing pickleball.

Son of a bitch!

That is so good.

I don't know what Olive's got going on

here.

Yeah,

we just hit it at the same time.

Whacked from the beginning of the show to

the end.

It's amazing.

What can't this supplement do?

And it can be yours for the low,

low price of just eighty five percent of

retail.

Yeah,

whatever that it turns out to be in

your area.

Sorry.

You already put the disclaimer out.

It's probably not going to keep you from

pectin.

Probably.

Probably.

And it's probably not good with Achilles

tendons.

No.

But it is pretty damn good with cramps.

I was about to say, the cramp thing,

that's accurate.

That's absolutely accurate.

Yes, Ortega.

I most certainly am.

I most certainly am.

Started today, as a matter of fact.

I'm gonna go ahead and take a second

and plug my people while we have an

opportunity here imam co is doing a

calorie challenge for the entire month of

What are we in September?

Um, you can join up for,

I think it's for free.

I'm pretty sure that tags Brandon.

Exactly.

Um, go look it up.

It's on our, it's on his Instagram.

It's all over his Instagram email

companies, Instagram.

You can accumulate calories over the

course of the entire month.

Um,

log it into the app and then every

hundred calories gets you another entry

into the drawing.

And at the end of the thing,

whoever ends up winning is going to be

able to choose an erg of their choice.

So do I count the calories from breakfast,

lunch, and dinner?

Not that kind of calorie challenge.

Because I was like all in, dude.

Yeah.

Not that kind of calorie challenge.

So any calories accumulated on eco bike or

row erg, ski erg,

you can run and log your calories that

way.

Every mile is worth one hundred and twenty

five.

You can bike.

I don't remember with it like actually

like ride your bike.

Those miles are not the same as running

miles, but dude, it's fantastic.

They like giving stuff away and they are

going to give you away at the end

of the month.

Somebody is going to win a C two

erg of their choice,

whether that's a skier,

a biker or a row or maybe a

strength erg.

And if you're really feeling froggy,

I guess.

last thing before we go is I just

got a delivery upstairs and it is my

brand new drum set for those of you

who do not know Scott texted me one

day last week and said I think I'm

going to get a drum set and I

was like that is the most specific midlife

crisis I've ever heard of in my entire

life but you do you my brother so

oh wow so it's upstairs now i get

to assemble it and uh well you can

i mean i feel like all the lego

uh things that you put together you can

probably put together a drum set did you

touch my drum set that is oh my

gosh carolyn quoting step brothers

It's fantastic.

She got it before I did, too.

That's outstanding.

Did you touch my drum set?

I didn't touch your drum set.

Slap the bass, man.

Slap the bass, man.

Hey, it could be worse, y'all.

A drum set is not nearly as expensive

as a convertible.

So there's that.

So I currently have an electric guitar.

Two of them.

I know how to play.

I love music.

I love to be in it as we

talked about her singing last week and

doing it loud.

If you didn't see that real,

Scott's about to rock out and whack off.

So anyway, why are you so sweaty?

I was watching cops.

Cops didn't come on until four thirty.

So, yeah,

I I want to learn how to play

drums and I do think it's it is

kind of going to take over my Lego

addiction because now I just pay one price

and I don't have to get go to

the plastic crack dealer anymore.

And you can just whack away.

Good night.

You can just whack away on the drums

like it's good stress relief.

In the morning,

I can whack in the afternoon and I

can whack in the evening.

Whenever you honestly need to.

Let me ask you this.

I'm going to ask you something.

Does your wife own noise canceling earbuds

or headphones?

So these are electric drums.

Oh, yeah.

And I can actually plug headphones in and

then you can't hear them.

all right so all she's gonna hear is

yep just on beating on the pads all

right yep yep but i'm gonna set it

up right there so before the show get

a little whack in after the show get

a little whack in going down the basement

to give myself a whack i'll be back

later

You're singing like a combination of

Fergie and Jesus.

And Jesus.

That was my favorite game at the fair

and at the amusement park when I was

a kid.

I loved whack-a-mole.

That's what we've been talking about this

whole show, right?

Whack-a-mole?

Whack-a-mole, yeah, absolutely.

A hundred percent.

FYI, if you know what whack-a-mole is,

you're probably in the right demographic

for this show because we are generally a

master's athlete show.

I doubt that exists anymore.

Can you imagine the guy that invented

whack-a-mole?

Oh, yeah.

What can we do?

Hey, are those prairie dogs out there?

Yeah.

You know what I like to do?

Let me hit one of these mallets.

Yeah,

but what if you hit one and another

one just popped up?

Dude, I have an idea.

I have an idea.

What if for every one you hit up,

you hit in the head,

another one popped up?

And sometimes two will pop up.

What if you're not quick enough and you

miss?

Oh, I don't even know.

What if we assign points for each head

that you whack?

That's bad.

so much whacking going on wow all right

guys i gotta get back to work and

i my belly hurts too bad right now

plus i gotta go pull a drum set

off my porch i would definitely do that

i definitely do that an electric jump set

so gotta get everything set you gotta

figure out how you gonna how you want

it like where all the various things are

gonna be i like it

I'm thinking about videoing every once in

a while to show my progress.

Please do.

How bad I am.

Please do.

Ladies and gentlemen, Scott Switzer.

All right.

With that, everybody, you know what?

I'm going to get my drum set and

you know what I'm going to do?

I wouldn't wait to get to the editing

room to jazz me up.

I'm already jazzy.

Lunch with the Clydesdale Cowboy in the

saddle.

Lunch with the Clydesdale Cowboy in the

saddle.

Talking to reps,

real life strength in the battle.

From the gym to the screen, yeah,

we cover it all.

Midday motivation every time we press

call.

Lunch with the Clydesdale Cowboy in the

heat.

CrossFit, movies, music on repeat.

Half hour hustle, yeah,

we building that brand.

Grab a plate, shoot it.
