SUPER GHOST

This week we're discussing some very important shit like: Lenny Kravitz's Laffy-Taffy shaped dong, what makes a game a Soulslike, how Aaron can't take anything seriously, games that begin with "H", and possibly making a choose-your-adventure game on the Super Ghost website.

[00:00:00] It doesn't exist to me. No, I'm just kidding. If I'm not in it, it's not worth listening to. I want to hear my fucking voice every day! Every day, yeah, yeah. I just realized that I almost sounded like Satan from South Park. I want a Ferrari kank! This is an Acura kank! I want the president to tell everybody that we're fucking, ok? Holy shit.

[00:00:28] You need to admit that we're fucking Satan, ok? Please stop, that was spot on. You're scaring me, are you Satan? That was pretty good. It was a good show. Yeah, I saw a clip of that today. Yeah, it was good. And they brought back shitty...

[00:00:59] They brought back fucking City Walk! Oh, yes! Because he thinks, because he keeps seeing Woke is dead, he said that it's Woke is dead. That it's Woke is dead. So he started a new fucking... He has one of those, like, Chinese pop-up stores, where, like, you buy, like, blind boxes and shit. And get the little boo-boos. Gross! Yeah, the little boo-boos! Oh, man. Yeah, and the boo-boos summon the devil. That sounds about right.

[00:01:28] Bring out the worst in people. People are getting trampled. It's like when they have those limited edition primes, and people are, like, trampling each other, killing each other over, like... Why are people doing this? I don't know. Because they don't have anything else going on in their lives. They're like, I want to live for the boo-boos and Satan and primes, so I gotta get all of them. Gotta get my Devil's Dozen. Devil's Dozen? You mean, like, D12? Gotta get my D12? Gotta get my D6 on, dude.

[00:01:59] No, man. D12, like, from, you know, the rap group. Oh, with Eminem and shit? Yeah. Well, I... Wasn't he in it? I don't know. He was in that, like, most of that first album that they put out. I don't think he was a member of D12, but he... No, he was just like... He, like, produced them. Oh. I mean, all the songs that he was in on that album were all good. I think they were the better ones. If I'm being honest.

[00:02:28] I don't know. I'm not a... I don't know why I'm talking to you. I'm not a rapophile or whatever. Well, I don't even... Whatever you would call them. I don't even really care. Yeah, I don't care about D12. I don't know why I'm talking to you so much. Welcome back to Super Ghost. This is Super Ghost. Yeah, that's how we do it. This is the show. This is what it is. Whether you like it or not, this is what it is now. There's no stopping us. You can't change us. We will not be stopped. It's not a phase, mom. This is futile. Exactly. Futile.

[00:02:58] Yeah. Yeah, if you didn't know, I'm Jerry and... And I'm Satan. That's... That's... That's Aaron. And, uh... Greg is the, uh... The lovely... Blue... Lady. If you're watching on YouTube, you should be. Greetings. If you're watching on YouTube. Tell me which IP this one is stolen from. This is what, like... Someone's gonna discover this show and then, like, corner you and probably be like, I know you fucking stole it from Genshin Impact.

[00:03:28] I don't... Is it Genshin? I think this one might be... I don't know if this is a Genshin or a Zenless Zone Zero or something... One of those Hoyoverse. Something Hoyoverse. It might be. It might be. Hey, so speaking of anime girls... You should go to SuperGhost.site. Yeah, lots of anime girls. We got Hentai. We got Futaba. We got... We got all of it at SuperGhost.site. All of your Hentai is over there. Isakai. Shonen.

[00:03:57] I need you to get all of the Hentai that I sent you in that zip file. Oh my God. Up on the side. We should put like a secret button somewhere on the website that goes straight to Hentai or something. If you found this... Like, it just starts off... It's a button, someone clicks it and it just like... It's a screen, like this cryptic, like ASCII-looking shit. Like, if you found this, you are the chosen one. And that goes to like some disgusting technical shit. Dude, how many... How many pages can we have on the site? Unlimited.

[00:04:28] I looked it up. It's unlimited. We should do a choose your own adventure on the site. And if you fuck up, it just takes you to Hentai. Like the most hardcore Hentai. But like, cake it into the story. So it's like, you fell down a pit of spikes and then you were smothered in Hentai. Smothered in Hentai. Like it's a diner dish. Episode title right there. Smothered in Hentai. Smothered in Hentai.

[00:04:55] Why is it that every time Beth's not on, we always have the courage... Like last time, we were just talking in our group chat after the episode. And she was like, wow, missed a weird one this week. She really dodged a bullet, but I don't know. This model doesn't have the most expressive face, but mine is one of puzzlement and confusion. Not to mention the legality of surprising people with pornography. What do you mean legality? Like it's their own fault.

[00:05:25] They're on the website. You have to make the 18 or over splash page and stuff like that. And then there's all the different states and stuff for like age verification now. And like it's... Guys, it's a whole can of worms here. It's a whole can of worms. I want to open it up. I think it's worth opening. Can of Hentai. All right, well, Jerry, contact your lawyers to get it all squared away.

[00:05:55] Oh, if you love this, you'll also love our Patreon, I think. It's $2 or $4 a month. Okay. All the house cleaning is done. Let's get right the fuck to the dirty business. Is there Hentai on the Patreon? You have to subscribe to find out. Yeah, there might be. That's a good one. It's a good hook. You don't know? It could be. Greg, you could start like an OnlyFans with your Final Fantasy character. Just saying. That would require so much work and so many artists.

[00:06:25] She is hot, but it requires so much work. And also, no, she's a lady. She's much better than that. Not to say that the people on OnlyFans are not ladies, but... You've heard of Bonnie Blue! What I was going to say earlier, before I was interrupted by the thought of creating a choose-your-own-adventure that leads to Hentai.

[00:06:55] Or the thought of like pimping me out on OnlyFans? That's a good idea too. I didn't ask for this. No, but I mean... You know, where the money's good, right? I was going to say... Gotta get it while the getting's good. I was going to say... Anime Girls. Last night, I was treated to the... I swear to God, this is the first time I'd ever seen this game. Greg shared this. The first time you had ever seen Hentai. Guys, I was treated to this new thing.

[00:07:28] You wouldn't believe the things I saw. Oh, the tentacles you'll grow. That sounds like a fucking Dr. Seuss book. Dr. Seuss. Yeah, oh, the thinks you can think. Yup. Anyways, Horse Girl Racing. Turns out, watching that shit is pretty good. It's pretty good. He had me standing up cheering. And I was like...

[00:07:57] Greg said, let me share my screen real quick. Because I was sharing my screen. I was showing him my farm on Stardew. Which, we'll get to that. So he was like... I was done sharing my screen. He goes, let me share something with you. Greg, why don't you explain what you were showing me? Because I didn't know what the fuck was going on. But I was into it. Like... Just like hentai. Yeah, I was just doing like...

[00:08:26] It was not hentai, but I was just doing a... A career playthrough on Uma. And I decided to... Jerry was sharing with me, just like he said. And I was like, hey, check this out. And I showed him a race. And I knew it would be captivating. Because the character I was doing, her strategy is she's an end closer. So she kind of just like lollygags her whole thing and then just wins. But it's always very close.

[00:08:55] And then just so she was like back of the pack for the whole race. And then Jerry got to see her like come up and her abilities activate and stuff like that. Yeah, I was... I gotta say, man, I was digging what I was seeing. Like big time. But I wouldn't play it. I would never play this game. But I was enjoying watching it. It's super... Even I will still like by myself be watching a race.

[00:09:25] And like when it matters and like I... Because you get like three retries if you're losing in a career. And then you have to like... Then it's over. But like I'll be watching like my third retry and then have like... It'd be like really close at the end and I'm watching. My hands are in the air. And I'm just like, go! Go! Go! Yeah, I was standing up and I was cheering. They managed to really capture the thrill of like a horse race. The thrill.

[00:09:55] I've never... I've never been to a horse race. I don't know. The thrill is there. Have you been to a horse race? Yeah. Did you bet? I did bet. I loved it. The problem with horse racing is what they don't... What they don't really illustrate is that time between races is so long. Ugh. And so like you have like pure excitement for like maybe a couple minutes of horse race.

[00:10:23] And then you got to wait for like 20 minutes before the next one. Yeah. But it's a great time. Yeah, there was a lot. I remember asking you, do you read all of this? This is crazy. And you did say you read it once. Which is... Like the first two... When I was first playing the games, like the first few times I would like read the individual story. And then it was like, wait a minute. I don't care about any of this at all.

[00:10:52] And then turn speed to maximum and auto skip on. And then... Yeah. Yeah. And then just went through it. And that was a good time. Jerk news. Breaking news. Breaking news. This is news that I stole from Aaron. So I'm just going to announce it because I want to announce it.

[00:11:17] And then Aaron, you can tell everybody about how cool it is that CD Romance is back, baby. It's back. I don't know when it came back. So the whole thing is, if you go to... I forget what the whole URL is. It was just CDRomance.com or .net or .org or whatever. It's gone. Because of like legal pressures and everything, it's gone. But yeah, it's back.

[00:11:45] I don't want to tell people how to get to it in case someone decides to be like, Oh, I'm going to report this to the fucking... The federales or whatever. The federales. Yeah. No, it... I mean, it's back. And it's probably like better than ever. Like, yeah, you go on in. Register for an account. And then bada-bing, bada-boom. Fan translations.

[00:12:13] Yeah, it looks like it's just like a forum now. Yeah. Right? Is that... I think I'm on the right place. Yeah, just look up new CD Romance location. And then... Send your location. Share your data. Tell them your blood type. It's not that hard. Joke's on them. I don't even know my own blood type. I don't either. I don't know what my blood type is.

[00:12:40] If I ever need a transfusion, I'll be like, I don't know, dog, chef's choice. Surprise me. Hopefully you have that sweet, sweet O-neg. The sweet, sweet nectar of O-neg. Just like the band. Or wait, is that the band? O-negative? Type O-negative. Yeah. Yeah. That dude has a large hog. That's what I love. Great, Jerry.

[00:13:10] It's true. He did. Like, you can just like find that dude's dong on the internet. I think we talked about this one time. You're talking about... I think we did too. Wasn't it just like blasted on a music video or something? Or maybe I'm thinking of something else. Oh no, you're thinking of... Are you thinking of Lenny Kravitz? Where his dong just like exploded through his pants? No. Did you see that? Have you seen that? That's such a funny gif. What? Oh my God.

[00:13:39] His dick is so big. It's so big. It wasn't so big. Dude, it was... Well, it wasn't like... It kind of looked like Laffy Taffy. Ew. It was like... Oh. You know like... I don't know if that's how I would describe it. Like flat or like... What do you mean? It looks... It looks like... Laffy Taffy? Have you seen Laffy Taffy? It looked like a chameleon's tongue like shooting out. What the hell are you talking about? I think you've... Unless that was his balls. I think you've embellished this video in your mind. No.

[00:14:09] I think in your mind it's like one of those like... There's like birthdays. You know those like birthday like things? Like those birthday horns? That's what it is in your mind. It's not like that at all. His fucking hog just erupts from his pants. That's all. When I searched for Lenny Kravitz in Google, the first thing that's suggested is Lenny Kravitz Balls GIF. And then it's Lenny Kravitz new song. It's just previous search history I suppose. I didn't think he made new songs anymore. I thought he did...

[00:14:39] Are you gonna go my way? And then was just like... That's it. That's my career. I mean I like... I like Lenny Kravitz. There's nothing wrong with Lenny Kravitz. I really know the one... No. I know two songs. He did an American Woman. That American Woman cover. That's all I know of Lenny Kravitz. Oh, I found it. Post it in chat. I'm gonna put it in the chat. Oh, I am. Yeah. We're gonna get a...

[00:15:02] We're gonna get a live reaction from Aaron about Lenny's dick. Oh, Leonard Kravitz. Lenny, put your dick away, man. Come on. That's a... I mean... Okay. I'm like slowing it down. Oh, you know what I want to see? Oh, you're slowing it. You want to see it frame by frame? So, what I thought was a large Laffy Taffy dick...

[00:15:31] What does that mean? I don't know that you've already seen Laffy Taffy. It's notoriously flat. That's what I thought. I don't know, dude. It's like a little ruler. I don't know. It just looked like super elastic. A fucking three inch ruler. Where's this gif? Did you watch this video yet? No, where's it at? Is it still like posting in the chat? I see it in the chat. I posted in the studio chat, dude. Come on. Oh, I thought you meant like in Messenger.

[00:16:01] Can we show this on YouTube? I don't think so. Why? It's honest. Did you just ask Jerry if we could show a penis on YouTube? Dude, there's a guy that shows how to wax your asshole for educational purposes on YouTube. Yeah. How is this? That's probably not a monetized video. How would this be educational? We're just showing Lenny Kravitz's dick. Right on the magic, scoobas.

[00:16:33] Holy shit. Today, Miss Frazzle brings her class to a Lenny Kravitz concert. Jerry, you're out of pocket right now. You're off the rails. I'm watching. Number one, it's Miss Frizzle. Who did I say? Miss Frazzle? I don't know who Miss Frazzle is. This gif sucks. I didn't see a goddamn thing. I'm done. Moving on. You didn't see it? No, moving on. Disappointed. All right.

[00:17:05] On top of that, I learned just this week that David Hayter found out Raiden was replacing him in Metal Gear Solid 2 in the booth while they were recording. Yeah. What the fuck? And he said that he just turned and said, what the hell? Yeah.

[00:17:32] Because he thought he was going to be the main character. That is crazy. That is so crazy. So they just like get him in there, do a couple of line reads and they were like, okay, walk him in, walk him in, walk him in. Make sure we get his face. Want to see his reaction. And then they just bring in the guy that's doing Raiden's voice. And he's just like, hey, how's it going? I'll take it from here. This is like an impractical joker's bit or some shit. Yeah. Right.

[00:18:00] Steve Salvo Kano come in and be like, hey, how's it going? He falls on the fucking floor. He's laughing. I love his laugh. He just like touches everybody. So who was this Dan guy supposed to be playing? Was he just, they replaced David Hayter. David Hayter is Solid Snake. So he thought he was going to be the main character of the sequel. Did you not know who David did? When I said his name, you didn't know. I don't know who the fuck David Hayter is.

[00:18:28] I immediately thought of like, who played Napoleon Dynamite? John Hayter or something. What? John Hayter. John what? Heater. I knew that it matters. I knew for sure that wasn't him, but like, I don't know who the fuck David Hayter is. David Hayter, the voice of Solid Snake, big boxed writer of X-Men and X-Men 2 X. X2 X-Men United. He what? He's the writer of those movies. He wrote them. Oh, he should probably go back to acting.

[00:18:59] Because those movies were not good. X-Men and X-Men 2 are great movies. It's the follow ups that are not good. X3 sucks. X2 X2 is a great movie. Which one? Which one was the one where Rogue tries to touch that one dude's dong and then he dies? And then she's like, oh no. That's the first one. Oh, that one was good. I liked that one. Who played Rogue? The Anna Paquin. She did? Yeah. From True Blood. Anna Paquin. Yeah.

[00:19:28] I like an Anna Paquin. I do. Wait, is this bit done? I have a teeny bit more news. It's a really dumb one, but... Is there more to the whole Metal Gear Solid thing? No. Okay. I can't get into it again. Okay. If we... We literally would have to have an entire episode dedicated to Kojima shit talking. If we're gonna just pop that open.

[00:19:57] Pop the cherry on it. Well, I keep seeing a lot of discourse online about people being pissed off about paying 20 bucks for Hollow Knight's Silk Song. I don't know what the fuck this is about. What? Maybe I'm misinterpreting the whole thing. But like... Yeah. Are you reading shit posts? Because I know there was like a flood. I might be. So here's the thing. I think you fell for... I might have been. You fell for some... Because the last day before it released, Team Cherry as a...

[00:20:27] Like a... I don't know. Like a call out to all the memes throughout the years and shit of this game. Uh... They were like... One more Silk post. Which is like their own shit post, I guess. And they were like... Just make like... You know, make some crazy like accusation or like get mad about something to do with the game just for good old time's sake. So people were like... I see a bunch of shit on Reddit where people were like, I can't believe this game is fucking $20.

[00:20:57] Are you out of your mind, Team Cherry? And there was a bunch of it. But then there was like other people too saying that like... They delayed it again by like another month. Like there was like... Just... And I think some of it bled into like the rumor mill and people were like, oh my god, did it actually get like moved ahead by a month? But it didn't. That'd be fucked.

[00:21:18] I don't know if the whole discourse of people being mad about the $20 ticket though, like... That might have just been a shit post. That can't be real. That cannot be real. That cannot be real. Now that I think about it, I think I remember coming across one on Facebook that was like... It was one of the two panel motherfuckers. It was like... On one side, it's like... It's talking shit about AAAs taking like fucking 10 years to develop. And then, you know, they come out and they're like $70 or something.

[00:21:48] And their Silk Song took like a fucking decade. And it's like, okay, $20. So like... Yeah. I think, yeah, it was just a bunch of shit posts and I fucking fell for it. I'm a dumb idiot. I'm sorry. You got bamboozled. You got swindled. I did get swindoozled. You've been had. So... Silk Song, at the time of this recording is out today. Came out today. I grabbed it. I don't know when I'll get to it. I still got a bunch of shit I'm playing. Yep.

[00:22:18] I've been playing another game that starts with an H that is really crazy. Honeypop. Honeypop. Um... I'll find another H game. Hold on. Honeypop Cam Studio. I give up. Hentai blank. Hentai girls. Pirates. Fuck, what other games begin with an H, man?

[00:22:50] Um... Um... Why is this so difficult? Henry Hatsworth. Boom. That's two, baby. Henry Hatsworth in the Puzzling Adventure. Hold on. There we go. Yeah, Henry Hatsworth, dude. It's awesome. It's one part platformer, one part like Tetris.

[00:23:20] I feel like we should be able to do better though. There's gotta be something. What, other H games? Yeah. Uh... Hang on, let me Google. I mean, there's the obvious Hollow Knight, but that's cheating. The games that begin with... H. Oh, Halo! Fuck! Halo... People are yelling.

[00:23:50] Dude, Half-Life... People are screaming. Yeah, people are fucking, they're like, They're like, Jerry Halo! Oh God, H1Z1! Fuck! Just like clawing at their phones desperately. Have mercy. Um... Yep, so...

[00:24:20] The H game that I'm playing... Don't call it an H game. Don't call it an H game. Why? Because that's actually what people call anti-games. Is it really? I'm pretty sure. If you Google H game, you're gonna get anti-games. Well, hold, well, no. I guess I didn't Google H games. I Googled games to begin with H. Never mind. Top games tagged for hentai on H.io. Yep. Uh, so, um... So, John, H game? Which H game are you playing, Jerry?

[00:24:49] Um, no, I... Picked up Hell Is Us. I kind of forgot about that game and I was like, wait, holy shit. This game is, like, on its way out. I... I gotta... Fucking play it. So, I did. I forgot that it was coming out. And I'm gonna tell you... It's... Fucking... Wild.

[00:25:18] It is... Absolutely insane. I don't know what to categorize it under, other than... I initially thought, oh... Is this a Souls-like? But now the more that I play it, it ain't that, man. It ain't that. It's like... Like an adventure? Like, um... Dude, I'm gonna be... I don't know. I'm gonna be honest with you.

[00:25:46] The last couple of times that I've... The last couple of, I guess, hours of playthrough, Um, it's like Zelda. I did, like, the water temple. Oh, yeah. Like, I did a... I did, like, a fucking dungeon. Not expecting that shit. The combat, pretty difficult. I think that might have been... At first, I was like, oh, I seen, like, the green health and... Or the... The green stamina and the red health.

[00:26:15] And I was like, alright, here we go. Here's a Souls game. Cause it was, you know, you fight the first enemy and it's like, pretty... Pretty tough. Like, not being able to just mash buttons. You had to be timely about where you were getting in on the openings of the enemy. Plus, it introduced a parry system really early. Which you really have to rely on.

[00:26:41] You have to rely on the parry system because, you know, it's kind of like Bloodborne, I guess, in a way. You know how, like, you... You get more health back from being offensive. So, in this, you have to, like, hit the enemy a bunch of times. The higher the combo, the more round this white circle gets around you.

[00:27:05] But you have to time it with the right bumper so that you consume at the right time or else you don't get anything back. But if you do it at the right time, you get a pile of health back and a bunch of stamina. The cool thing is, stamina is locked to your health. So, once your health starts going down, your maximum stamina goes down. So, it makes it really, really tricky when you start getting in a situation where you're getting the shit kicked out of you.

[00:27:34] Because then, like, you go to attack and you're just, like, flailing because you have no stamina. So, it does introduce, like, a layer of difficulty in that sense. I will say this, though. For those of you out there that don't care for the, you know, punishment of a Souls game. Again, this ain't a Souls game because there is no penalty for death. There are manual saves. Greg, we were just talking about this last night.

[00:28:03] How, like, people think manual saving is a bonfire. I've been seeing that. Because, Greg, you started Hollow Knight. Yeah. Not like... I would think that people would, like, associate manual saving with, like, Pokemon. You just push start and go to save. Not even so much as that. It's more of, like, there's save points. Do you mean, like, saving at a fixed location? Oh! Yeah.

[00:28:31] It's like, there's these save points. So, you can't just save anywhere and it does not auto save. So, like, Resident Evil. So, when you die... Yeah. But the cool thing is, when you die, like, say if I just played for, like, 10 minutes and I picked up, like, a new weapon and I killed a bunch of enemies and unlocked a door and then I die. I don't lose all that stuff. I don't lose any of that progress. I just end up back where I was. Oh!

[00:28:57] Now, the cool thing is, the way that the story's being told, which by the way, the story so far, it's not like, mind blowing or anything, but like, it's a cool story. I don't want to really give anything about it away. It's very cinematic. Very, very cinematic. And the cool thing is, like, you are playing the character that is like, telling the story. He's like, being interrogated. So, when you die, you hear the guy that's interrogating you go, so you actually, you

[00:29:26] didn't really die there. So, start over. Think harder. Which is kind of a cool, like, way of dying, where it's like, no, no, no. Think about it. You didn't die there. Think harder. And then you're like, oh yeah, no, I didn't die there. But, yeah, it's got like, really crazy puzzles. Like, pretty difficult. I felt like a genius when I solved a couple of them the other night.

[00:29:54] And there's like, there's no, I, like, I haven't, like, really looked for walkthroughs because I got the pre-order. So, I got, I got the game early. And there's no information on the internet. Like, there's no walkthroughs or anything. And, yeah, it's, it's really, really, really cool. And according to how long to beat, if you were to guess how long this game is, because let

[00:30:23] me remind you, it's not an open world game, but it does have like a world map where you can select your destination and each of the areas are like their own little open world in that sense. But if you were to guess how much this game is, what would you say? Or how much? How long? 18 hours. I'm going to say 30, Jerry.

[00:30:50] Well, right now, the average, which is still being worked out for the main story is 14 hours. Damn. Which. It's pretty good. Honestly. It's really good. I was happy to see that. I was, I was kind of relieved. I was like, Oh God, like, is this going to be? Because like, I wanted to play Kronos, like Silent Hill F is coming out at the end of this month.

[00:31:16] And I was just kind of like, I don't know, man, like, is this going to be just this massive game? Because I'm really liking it, but I'm really put off by if it's going to be this massive, massive game. So seeing that is kind of relieving. I'd say you could probably put more time into it because there, there is things that you can do. Um, the cool thing is with this game as well. Uh, shout out to, to this Canadian developer. They're in Montreal.

[00:31:44] So they're not, they don't claim that they're, they, they call themselves a boutique gaming developer. That's cool. They're not like, they're not indie and they're not like even double a somewhere in between. So this game is 64 99 Canadian. So Aaron for you, I guess it'd be like a 59 99 probably. The sounds right. Yeah.

[00:32:11] So like very fair pricing, very fair pricing. And honestly, this is the second game that has come out this year. That's by a indie developer that has kind of blown my mind because Claire Obscura is an indie developer and that blew my mind. And there's two games now already.

[00:32:34] Like I'll be honest with you coming off of Donkey Kong Bonanza, which I liked quite a bit toward the end of that game. I have problems with it though. And it was, it was a lot like Aaron, you even said that you fell off a little bit. Yeah. I've started playing like two games since I took a little break from Donkey Kong. Yeah. So when I beat that, I was like, I don't know what I want to play.

[00:33:02] Actually, I started playing a game that Greg, my old pal Greg gifted to me was a heartworm, which is a, it's a, it's a old school ass looking survival whore with tank controls. And I'm super about it. And in order to kill the enemies, you have to take pictures of them. Oh, sort of like fatal frame in a way. That's awesome. Yeah. I thought he would, I thought he would, uh, are you playing that just for you or are you sharing with anybody?

[00:33:32] What heartworm? Yeah. I was just, I just threw it on. Cause I was like, Ooh, I forgot that this is sitting here. I always forget. I have like, I'll, I'll get games. I'll pre-order games of fucking, you know, I just have these games laying around and I'm like, Oh, Oh yeah. Oh yeah. I forgot about that. I, I man, when Donkey Kong came out, I forgot. I almost forgot the day I was like, Oh, I woke up one morning and it was like Donkey Company has a reviews and shit. I forgot. I pre-ordered the thing.

[00:34:04] Oh, uh, one more piece of breaking news though, to go back. So Nintendo, uh, in classic Nintendo, um, flavor they're up to their old shenanigans again. Sweet. So, you know, they've been pumping out some of these switch to upgrades. Oh, Aaron, you and I both have the Kirby one. Yup. Yup.

[00:34:33] Which looks fucking fantastic on the switch to, I don't know. Have you thrown it on yet? Yeah. I think I've gotten all the way to, I'm almost through the snow area and it's fucking good. It is. It's awesome. So I think it was last month maybe, or maybe in July, um, they released the update for Super Mario, or Mario Party Jamboree.

[00:35:03] But all it really did was add, um, uh, like some mini games to do with like the mouse and like some new mini game, like almost like a TV show game show kind of thing. The overall game didn't get a bump in resolution or frame rate. Oh yeah. It just stayed looking shit. I think you talked about this on the, I think the last episode we did with Beth or

[00:35:32] maybe it was with Greg. Uh, perhaps. Yeah. For sure. You did that said this week. They finally patched it. So they, they patched it so that now it's, it runs that you have to have the upgrade though. Like it's not a free patch, but now the whole game is in the up, like the higher, they just, they didn't even say 4k is like such weird wording. It's like, it's now in a higher, to get the highest resolution.

[00:36:00] You need to have the switch to upgrade for some shit. Fuck. Yeah. It's so dumb. I like these, like, dude, I, I like Nintendo, but it's getting harder and harder to defend the bullshit with like the, like the two ecosystems. They're like, it's almost like they're pandering to people that are, cause obviously there's bajillions of people still on switch one.

[00:36:28] So they're like, no, we can't, we can't make this have like an, like, there's no exclusive versions of games coming to switch to as much as there is just like, yeah, it's a switch one game, but it does perform better in ways on switch two. But that's only when people leave like frame rates unlocked things like that. Well, that's, that's kind of, that's, that's just like new console stuff.

[00:36:58] Like remember when the PS five came out, the only things that were available for that game were PS four up res is, you know, that's true. Yeah. There was like, there, there was like, like returnal and like, like one or two other games, but everything else was just like the upscaled PS, upscaled PS four game or like, I think the problem is though, is that like games like Ninja guide and rage bound should run better

[00:37:26] on switch two by default. Like it just should, it's better hardware. You would think that it, you know, that they would have a way that they can unlock the frame rate or something. I like, I don't know. I don't know if that's all on Nintendo, but like that game runs exactly the same on switch two as it does switch one. I think it might depend on the architecture of, of, of building things for the systems,

[00:37:52] just that like for, or some of the engines, just give you an example. Like the PS five version of a judgment, the, the Yakuza spinoff is still locked to 30. Oh, what? And that's an old game. That's so, I think that might just be a quirk of either the architecture or the engine. Yeah. Cause I mean, I don't know. It's weird. It's, it's, it's just, I'm not here trying to defend Nintendo. Fuck those clowns. What I'm telling you that.

[00:38:22] There might be, there might be, there might be more to it. What I was going to say is that allegedly a lot of developers, like big name developers and even smaller ones that have a, have a, a big name in the industry did not give dev kits. They then nobody has, there's only like a few different developers that have dev kits. Like for switch two, you mean? Okay. Yeah. So what the fuck are we doing? Like

[00:38:51] everybody should have a dev kit. Like there should be ways and methods to make all of the new games that are coming out. Just like, they don't need to have, like, this is the weird thing though. This is the weird thing. Some of these games get free upgrades and then other, other ones are getting Nintendo switch to upgrades. So like, why, why? Unless you're adding brand

[00:39:18] new content, which I don't know. Like, that's just, that's just business, man. Like that's again, just go back to PS5, PS4. Cause it's the closest parallel. It was the same thing. Some PS5 games got a free upgrade included like with your PS4 purchase. Some of them, you had to shell out like, I don't know, 15, 20 bucks, you know, it's, it just kind of the, the nature of the beast. And it's going to go down to the individual developers and what they want, but also to the

[00:39:44] like overall, like cache of game. It's, it's also weird that like with, I mean, I don't know how the developing games works, but it's weird that like with, with how many switch one games just work natively on switch two with no fucking around, like no extra patches or anything needed. It's weird that they can't just like make the game to where it'll, I don't know, maybe it could, it knows which one it's on. And then it like, no matter what system you have, it's just like, okay.

[00:40:14] Like, I don't know, like one version of the one version of the game that runs better on switch two or just runs like fucking dog shit on switch one. Like I'm, I'm surprised there's no way to make one universal version of the game, but yeah, again, I don't know how the fuck game building works. It's super easy. You should try it. Man, no. Yeah. I don't know. I don't know. It's just, ah, there's something about it. There's something about it.

[00:40:42] Yeah. Maybe, maybe later on down the road, they'll start doing that. Cause I mean, we didn't start seeing that shit with, with Xbox series X and PS five. Like for the longest time, it was like coming next week to Xbox one, PS four, Xbox series X, Xbox series S and PlayStation five. But yeah, now it's just those. So maybe they're just giving it like maybe another year and it'll be all switch two. But I guess that sucks for Ninja guy and rage bounds. It'll be stuck on crappy switch one version.

[00:41:10] Well, it'll have a super long transition because like the switch is, did it ever surpass PS two? I think it came close, but didn't actually do it. Right. I think it did. Did it, did it surpass PS two? Well in, in the U S I think not worldwide worldwide. No, it still has long ways to go. Oh yeah. That's the, that's the whole thing where I like there's the whole, the install base on switch one is like, is huge. So they're going to make that transition slow. So yeah. Yeah. Like it was, it was slow again. My, my, my touchstone,

[00:41:39] it was slow with PS four to PS five for the transition. It's going to be super slow for, for, for a switch and switch two. The difference is this time around at least, and compared to the PS four or PS five is that it does not seem hard to get a switch to at all. No, I could go, I could go to the store right now and pick one up. Yeah, they did. They did figure that out. I'll give them that. Kudos to them because they were always the worst as someone who worked in games retail.

[00:42:08] They were always the worth worth for like scare, like manufactured scarcity and things like that. What are you guys been playing? What's been going on? Well, Jerry, let me tell you, I've been playing three games right now. Holy shit. Uma games ever.

[00:42:37] One is Uma goes without saying that. So that's, that's the constant Thurman. No Musume. Anyway, the other, the other one is Hollow Knight as we touched on and having a good time. We'll talk about Hollow Knight more in a second. But the one that's been getting the most of my attention is I have started a, another play through of LA Noir, which might be, I was thinking about it. My, the game I've repurchased the most times.

[00:43:07] Nice. Like I think I, I, I, I bought it when it came out on 360. I bought it for switch. Now I've bought it for PC. Great. Where are you getting all this money? What's that? Where's all this? Where's all the money? What's really nice is that the game costs like nothing. Yeah. I wonder what it costs. Cause it's so old dude, but I even get it for like nothing. That's like, that's like with me and Bayonetta and Gears of War.

[00:43:37] I think at one point I had like fucking four copies of Bayonetta one and like probably four or five copies of Gears one all by accident, just because they give that shit out. Like it's nothing. They're just like, here, let's take it. Fucking have it. Please God. And by speaking of years where everyone go, if you have game pass download or you know what, just go buy that Gears of War, uh, remake because I want them to do two and three. Especially two man. Holy shit. Especially so good.

[00:44:07] Two has, there has been no version of two since like the Xbox 360. So can you guys, like I played through two in co-op. I couldn't tell you. I couldn't tell you anything about that game other than, Oh man, Marcus, Phoenix and Dom. Let that's let me tell you like the fucking most emotional Gears of War story probably in the whole series. Like there's that. That's not good.

[00:44:37] Cause I, it had zero impact on me. Well, I mean, you probably might've skipped through. I don't know when you play it, but you might've skipped through it. Maybe do you think you might've done that? Cause like doubt it. I probably played in like 20, 30. Okay. You skipped through it. Probably. No, uh, I mean they, they did a lot with years too. Um, like they like in gears one, when you were down, that's it. Fucking that's it.

[00:45:04] But like in gears two, you could crawl when you're down, you could take someone as a mean shield. You could, uh, what was it? You could plant grenades in them or maybe that was three. I forget. No, uh, you could melee with a grenade and stick some with them. Yeah. You could probably do, do a down person as well, but yeah, there's, there's just, and they added a lot of new weapons like years to, I think that's years too, was the first game that had horde mode. It was the introduction of horde mode, which is like one of the most popular multiplayer modes in, in modern games.

[00:45:35] Oh my God, man. That was the one I've spent the most amount of time on, uh, years too. I mean, I played a shit like me and my friends must've played not to completely derail whatever conversation is happening, but yeah, gears two is just really fucking good. Sorry. Go, go right ahead. Great. Gears. Gears two is an all timer. Uh, it's a giant worm on you. They're sinking cities with a giant worm. Uh, no. And then Dom finds his wife.

[00:46:02] I got the, Oh, Dom finds his wife and she looks like, like, uh, she's been in a concentration camp. I mean, she basically was basically was, you know, but like I gears to, I bought the special edition for, and it came with, you know, that picture in the game that how like Dom has that picture of him and Maria that he has. It came with that picture. And let me tell you, you still have it. That picture is still in my wallet. Yeah, dude. And you have it in your wallet. It's in my wallet. And I, one time someone was like, Oh, who are these people?

[00:46:33] Like shit. Like the picture, the picture, it looks so worn that if someone was in the know, they could get fooled. Your family's graphics suck. Yeah. Yeah. It's just like a worn photo, but yeah, I had that's in my wallet. Um, really good collector's edition. It came with cog tags. Oh, I had for a long time. I wish I still had them because cog tags are fucking sick.

[00:47:00] Um, yeah, that's, that's a, that's a, a top collector's a dish. Although like maybe that's, uh, make a note. That could be a good episode is like top collector's editions that we've. I was just going to say, Aaron, did I ever tell you about the time that I got that Resident Evil five collector's edition? No. No, I know about that. Save it for the collector's edition episode. No. Uh, all time blunder on my part. You fool. Embarrassment.

[00:47:31] Save it. It's a great story. Um, Eleanor is such a good game and I get so sad that we'll never see it. Never see another one. Like I get it because no, no, that, that team is gone. And I don't know if there's any interest by rockstar to do it when, uh, when they can just print money with GTA online and stuff like that. But, um, I was just having the conversation about GTA six with my nephew yesterday.

[00:48:01] And even him as an 18 year old was like, why the fuck do people care about GTA six? So God damn much. Can't tell you. Yeah. Anyways, go on. GTA online has made more money than I think like anything in the tech sector. Like it's made billions of dollars. It like made more than like any, even any mobile game or anything. I'm pretty sure.

[00:48:27] Like the, the earnings from GTA six are absolutely insane. Or sorry, GTA five, GTA online. God damn it. That's true. You can buy fucking shark cards for like any goddamn amount. You know? And like, yeah. Shark bucks. So since it, since its launch, GTA five has generated $8.6 billion in revenue.

[00:48:55] So that, so that is a, a large factor. The healthy amount. In terms of like why we will, I will probably never see LA noir, a sequel to LA noir because there's no point for rockstar to do it. Like they even like, they didn't shut it down, but they abandoned content for red dead online because it just wasn't comparing. So like why put the resources into that when they can put it into GTA online, which still gets new content. I'm pretty sure. And that, that sucks.

[00:49:25] Cause I mean, I haven't actually played the online ship or red dead redemption. I've just seen a bunch of people on YouTube play it and it looks fucking fun and stupid. Like I know. Right. Just, just lasso when people tie them to the back of your fucking horse. Yeah. It looks great. So I wish I had people to play that with like at the time when I was playing red dead, but I didn't. So I moved on. But anyway, I understand why we won't get a sequel because like at the time, like the technology wasn't perfect.

[00:49:53] And at the, at the same time it was like prohibitively expensive. So when the game didn't do what they were expecting, it costs so much money. And that, that, that, the team Bondi in Australia, I think they are, they are gone. They are shuttered because it was just so expensive to make that game. But it's sad because it's such a good game. And like the interrogations are fun and like, oh, it's, it's so well-made and it's, I recommend everybody go play, go play LA Noire.

[00:50:23] It costs nothing. Hold on. What the fuck is horror of the Orient? I think that was another canceled game. Maybe six successor. Like that's what they were working on. Horror of the Orient, like not horror, like whore. W H O R E. Horror of the Orient. Yeah, it's canceled. Um, we have team Bondi.

[00:50:53] Yeah. Yeah. So they only did LA Noire. Yeah. Wow. All their resources went into that and that technology. And what's crazy is like the technology of today is very similar, but refined. So like they were, they were too early. Wow. They were 10 years too early. Yeah. Wasn't the motion capture, like absolutely insane in that game. The facial capture is great. It's a little bit uncanny and some of it, like some of it like doesn't like mesh well

[00:51:22] with the rest of like the, you know, PS3, Xbox 360 era models, but like it looks fantastic and it, it's great. Can you get mods for this to maybe like, I'm sure. If you can add in like high, high detail, like texture mods and shit. You can get mods for anything, but Nexus mods LA Noire. Oh yeah. There's a whole day. There's a, there's a, there's stuff. Yeah. There's stuff. It's funny.

[00:51:50] You know, like when, when you mention game like this, that's in what, what are you laughing at? Beth just messaged in the group chat. She said, send an ambulance, but not for her. She's home alone. I'm some, some home invaders or whatever. Yeah.

[00:52:13] Games like LA Noire are the ones that I actually would pay attention to as far as rockstar games go. Not to say that GTA five wasn't a bad game. It was, it was good. Um, but like I've been saying it for awhile. I just feel like the formula that these games are using, especially like with GTA six, I mean, it's going to be an open world game.

[00:52:41] That's going to be touting how massive its world is. And it'll probably have a good story. They're good at making stories. I'll give them that. But, but like, it's just going to, you're going to be people who are intertwined with a bunch of drama and you'll drive around and you'll shoot guns. That's what you'll do. Whereas like, you know, I'm playing this game. Hell is us. And it's a pretty unique setting. Yes.

[00:53:06] It borrows from like a bunch of other games, but there's a lot to, it's funny because when Greg mentioned that he was playing the LA Noire, I actually said as he was telling me this dude, this game I'm playing hell is us. You actually have to like talk to people to get information on where you need to go. Because something that I forgot to mention about hell's us. There is no map. There's no quest trackers. What the fuck? There's no, there's no quest markers.

[00:53:35] Like you have no idea what to do next, unless you look at like your tree of shit that you found out and it'll be like, yeah. So like, it'll give you like a basic idea of I got to go find my dad. And then it's just all these different things. And then you're killing God. I mean, probably could be, who knows? It could be that at the end. What's the need about what? Sorry, go ahead.

[00:54:05] No, no, no. Go. What's neat about LA Noire is there does this kind of a similar thing where you put, you get a, you get a little main map and a way point, but you can, you always have a partner. And when you're going to your destination, you can like press a button and then he'll be like, take the next right here. He'll give you directions. That's cool. Like straight, straight through the intersection. Then take a right. Like, is there, is there no map? There is a map.

[00:54:31] There is a map and like, you can use it and you can, you can put a, like a waypoint on the map, but there's no, like, you know how a lot of times we'll get like a line on the mini map to tell you exactly your route. You don't have that. You'd literally just have the marker on the map and you know generally where it is. Yeah. So you'll get there eventually. But if you wanted to, to get a directory, you just keep like asking your partner where to go and you're like, yeah, next left. That's cool, man. I understand it. Honestly, that's like part of the reason why I have been so captivated by hell is us

[00:55:00] because for the first time in a long time, if you don't know how I play games, I don't read shit. I don't fucking do extra stuff. No side quest. I don't give a shit. Give me the main line. Let me go. I don't care about what fucking glass is doing down there with milk cartons. I'm not going on a fetch quest. Keep your fucking side salad. I'm here for the main course. Exactly.

[00:55:24] However, in this in Hell is Us, I have been kind of enjoying when you pick up something to read. You really have a sense of like information is gold. So like you read something, you're like, oh, they mentioned this tree. I see a weird looking tree. Where was that? And then it's kind of like, oh, that's in that area. Next time I go back there, I got to remember, you almost need to have a notepad next to you,

[00:55:51] because there's no there's no like I can ping this thing or like I can put a note on that or like I can select that to track that quest. None of that. None of that is there. It's there's zero handholding. And some people are not going to like that at all. I think some people are going to be mad about it. I have been enjoying it. I didn't think I was going to enjoy something like that because I was like, it's gonna be a

[00:56:19] lot of fucking like listening to audio logs and shit. But but I think when information is such a good resource, it becomes cooler to me anyways. Normally, I don't give a shit about that stuff. But yeah, I digress. Information. Okay, so L.A. Noire, let me continue.

[00:56:50] It does it does like it does side quests really neat to in that game. Like there's no like there's nothing on the map for a side quest, but you'll be driving. And then you'll just get like a call on the radio because, you know, a cab, but you're playing a cop. It's here to be driving. You get a call on the radio and they're like, they'll get like the code and it's like someone's like robbing the drugstore. And so, you know, you flip on the siren, you go to go to the drugstore, apprehend the victim.

[00:57:19] And then you go back on your merry way more often than not, though, because I guess I'm role playing the cop. I'll just shoot someone in the fucking head. I mean, problem solved. Pretty much. Oh, listen, Cole Phelps. He shoots first sex questions later. And there was there was like there's one thing where it's like you always have like if you're chasing someone, you can like fire a warning shot and like fire. Fire another head.

[00:57:48] More than one shot is in the head. More than one side. I'm just I'm like just running to reaction and I'll like plug someone in the back of the fucking head. And then and then after that done, that ends like the screen fades to black and then it re fades in with like you and your partner standing by like the coroner's van. And he pushes the gurney with like the sheet over it into the bed. And you and your partners kind of look at each other and then you continue about your day like no paperwork.

[00:58:18] So, well, this doesn't affect me in any way. At least like one criminal off the street or that's another criminal off the street. Now to continue. Oh, it's it's again so good. Definitely recommend it to everybody. Give it a try. At least that is fantastic. That is so good. Rockstar made more games that weren't GT like bully like will never ever ever ever get a man. Yeah, manhunt was good man.

[00:58:45] It was fucking crazy dude when that came out bully was cool. Yeah, bully was cool. They keep fucking pushing all of this time and money into GTA which I mean I get it's it's popular and like Prince them money but man like I I'm going to be honest.

[00:58:59] I've never really given a shit about the story in a Grand Theft Auto game like the story and like Red Dead Redemption one and I've seen a little bit of the story and and bully but those games I actually gave a shit about like I would actually sit through the cut scenes and shit Grand Theft Auto. I skip right through it. I'm more of those more of the other Rockstar games. Yeah, well, they have they have a bunch of like different like studios.

[00:59:26] So I'm pretty sure they still do at least so just make one the GTA studio and make the other one make like they're more niche games. That's what I propose. That'd be cool. Yeah, that being said if they are north is one of them, right? I don't know if there's still a thing but yeah, but you know what if I had like I sell that but they gave me another Red Dead. I'm their opening day. Give it to me in my veins. Fucking love. I've never played a Red Dead. Oh my god, there's so good. All right, elevator pitch. So, well, no, I guess this already exists.

[00:59:55] I was gonna say like Grand Theft Auto or Red Dead, but it's like it's in medieval times, but that's just kingdom come deliverance, I guess. Well, no, because it could be like third person and like have the goofy wonky like physics of Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead and shit. So yeah, Red Dead, medieval dead, redemption. So you want to know something crazy?

[01:00:18] Because I just, you know, I thought, I'm gonna look up Rockstar North and they're like the OG Rockstar. They're the ones that were not originally Rockstar, but they got bought by a bunch of people. They did do the original Grand Theft Auto and Grand Theft Auto 2 and 3 before it was Rockstar North.

[01:00:44] But there's two games on here that as I scroll past, I went, oh yeah, I forgot they did fucking Body Harvest on N64 and also Space Station Silicon Valley. What? They did Space Station Silicon Valley? That's wild. That was when they were still DMA. Yeah, DMA designs. Oh. Like that D and M and then the A, looked like a little dude.

[01:01:12] I remember hearing something about that, how those two games were like the prototype for Grand Theft Auto. They were like testing different... What the fuck? Well, think about it. In Body Harvest, you can get in and out of a vehicle. You can drive vehicles around and you can get in and out of. Oh yeah. And like walk around the map and shoot shit. And you can do the same in Space Station Silicon Valley. Same thing in Space Station. But it's animals. You kind of... Yeah, you just take over animals.

[01:01:36] So that was kind of like them going like, oh, we have this idea where like you can control a lot of different things. Like you're this thing, but this thing can get into this thing and this thing can get into that thing. And they all have different... They all feel different kind of. So yeah. It's like that Simpsons meme where it's like the sheep and they're pushing the one sheep out of the way to get to the cuter sheep behind it. I feel like that's like the driver series. They're pushing... They get the fuck... Get this trash out of here.

[01:02:05] And they're trying to make way for Grand Theft Auto. Like... When you say sheep and Simpsons, I only think of one thing. I think of Tamako. Yeah, dude. Yep. That's a good episode. Tamako is one of my favorite Simpsons episodes. Love that. So I'll only touch on Hollow Knight briefly and then I'll cede my time. But... Brief it up, baby. So I've only played a little bit.

[01:02:34] Like I just got to the... That big city. And fought like one of the bosses there. But... Last time we spoke, we were talking about how like... Like why does this Silk Long have all the hype? Is it deserved? Et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. And we listened to a bunch of other Metroidvanias that had come out between now and then that were possibly more deserving of the hype and things like that.

[01:02:59] And it dawned on to me like why it is as big as it is. And I think the key, the biggest difference is... So... Talking about things like Ori and like Blasphemous and all these games. And the reason why I think that Silksong had the hype leading up to it is because the other games all got their sequel. And Hollow Knight didn't. And it's a really good game.

[01:03:28] It's deserving of a sequel, but it just never came. And so I think if any of those other games, like if Ori never got a sequel, people would be talking about like, oh, where's... Where's Will-o-the-Wisps? It's gotta be coming. You know, like... Something like that would happen. I think it's a large part of it is like that they... A sequel is promised and it never came. And then the cult following got bigger and bigger and bigger and bigger and bigger. Hmm. Yeah, that's what I like... Hollow Knight's a good game.

[01:03:58] I don't know if I put it in like the top ranks, like top five Metroidvanias. It's definitely in the top 10, but I wouldn't put it in like a top five. But it is good. It's a good game. I'm glad that you're finally gonna get to enjoy it. And when I finish, I'll let you know where I rank it. One bit about Hollow Knight that I really, really enjoyed was the... It has this whole atmosphere to it.

[01:04:25] Like, it feels like you're just wandering through like a dank, drippy cave. Like there's no bombastic background music like you would have in other Metroidvanias, like Symphony of the Night or like Blasphemous or something. It's like more like ambient sounds as opposed to music. And even when you're fighting like a boss or something, it goes to like... Well, I guess they have like kind of choruses in those tracks too. But yeah, it's a lot more ambient and it feels more like...

[01:04:56] I can't think of it. It feels more natural, I guess. Mm-hmm. Like less video game-y, just more like natural. Yeah. So far, and I'm only about a couple hours in, but like... The boss fights have all been stellar. The exploration is good. The controls are so tight. Like it's responsive. It's fantastic. I was reading someone else's take on this kind of recently.

[01:05:25] And what they pointed out, which I think is a pretty good thing, is that... You're not given in the beginning of the game... You're not given any information on like what the main character is doing, why they're doing it, what their backstory is. You just kind of start. But they said, and I don't... I can't verify this. I haven't finished it. They said like by the end of the game, you're all in on what... And invested in what the main character is doing for the game. I can't speak to that. That's cool. I can't even remember what...

[01:05:56] But they get basically they're saying the game just starts. And then by the end of it, then you're all in on the quest. But again, I'll let you know. Greg, is it a souls like? No. It is not. You have a... Yes, you do have a refillable healing resource. And like you have the potential to lose things on death. Not always, but you have the potential to do it. But that's where the similarities end.

[01:06:27] There's all the benches and they might be... Some people might say they're akin to bonfires, but... For my mind, based on where they are, they're more like save rooms. Yeah, that's the whole... That's the thing I was talking about earlier. Bloodstained head benches. It's not a souls like... Boom, case closed. Moving on. Court adjourned. Bloodborne is one of those. Bloodstained, not Bloodborne. Oh, Bloodstained. Yeah. Sorry, I just think everything is Bloodborne.

[01:06:58] Yeah, I agree with Greg. I think the terminology gets thrown around very loosely nowadays where it's just like, yep. It's Souls-like. It's Souls-like. See that? You got like a refillable heal thing or there's manual save points. As a Souls-like. Oh, is it hard? Souls-like. Dude, same with like anything Earthbound inspired. Like, dude, it's just... It's just a Che RPG. Just say it. It's just an RPG. It's just a weird, quirky RPG.

[01:07:28] Yeah, you can have a quirky RPG. Like, it doesn't have to be... And like, the same thing with like Metroidvanias. Like, sometimes they're just... I don't know, like 2D adventure games? Yeah. I think Metroidvanias are easier to define, but I would say... Yeah. I would be very curious to see where we would draw the line of what is a Souls-like and what isn't a Souls-like. Like, where does the... Where does that stop?

[01:07:58] When does something stop being a Souls-like or when does something start to be a Souls-like? That's what I would be curious to see. Yeah, that's tough. There might have to be a bit for an episode that's... Yeah. We could just... Yeah, I mean, it's... To me, a Souls-like has to be very... It has to have specific. It has to be the weighty, like, physics-based combat and like... Lords of the Fallen. That's a Souls-like.

[01:08:28] That is like a carbon copy. That's a fucking Souls-like. Yep. Lies of P. That's a Bloodborne take, you know? Like, these... That's what those things are. Yeah. But yeah, when... The more that I'm playing Hell is Us and the... I keep seeing like, it's a Souls-like. It's a Souls-like. I'm like, it's not at all. It's more...

[01:08:52] To me, it's more like Stellar Blade or something without like a big emphasis on combos. Because Stellar Blade was more about like the combos and all the different gadgets and stuff. But like you... Like, there are... There are combos in this and gadgets, but... Yeah, I don't know. I don't know. You have to ask yourself the question, Jerry. Is Stellar Blade a Souls-like? I don't think Stellar Blade is a Souls-like at all. I think it's just a character action game. Exactly. Would you...

[01:09:22] Would you disagree? I don't know that I would disagree, but it's again, where is the line drawn? Because there's a lot of similarities with Stellar Blade. The only thing missing from Stellar Blade is stamina. Oh, man. Like where... This is gonna become the RPG episode again. Oh my God. I don't... We can't... We can't invite Mike to this. It'll... We'll all leave angry. I'm already getting pretty angry. I'm just... No, I'm just kidding. I'm kidding. We'll table it for now.

[01:09:52] We'll readdress it later. After we've had time to think and look at and make Excel spreadsheets. And find out where the line between Souls-like and not Souls-like begins and ends. In the meantime, Aaron, what are you playing? Okay. So, the other day in the chat, we were talking about something and then it all came down to Mother 3.

[01:10:20] And I was like, okay, that's what I'm playing now. I've... Yeah, I called you out. Like, since I beat those two, Tome and Tiny Terry Turbo Tango Trip, I don't remember what the fuck it's called. Ever since I beat those, I've been kind of bouncing around from games. Like, I don't want to go back to Phantasy Star because that fucking stupid dungeon made me so pissed. And I tried a couple other games, but they just wouldn't stick. But Mother 3, it's really sticking, man.

[01:10:49] Like, as a big, big, fat, huge Earthbound fan, like, it's cool that they didn't just, like, copy and paste the same exact formula from Earthbound to this game. I mean, they kind of did with a lot of things, but they updated a bunch of it. Like, first of all, the inventory system at Mother 3, holy shit, it's way more manageable. Like, you don't have to just go, like, to an item and then...

[01:11:13] Or you go to your... Open up your menu, pick an item, go to give to Paula yes, and then click yes, like, 15 times, and then finally give it to Paula. It's just, like, do you want to feed this fucking chicken leg to Monokuma, or whatever her name is? Oh, what the fuck is the girl's name? Monokuma? Isn't that from... Yeah, that's Donkey Rampa. The other chick in your party, her name is, like, something Kuma. I forget her name, but... Yeah, do you want to feed this chicken leg to your party member? Yes, okay, boom, done, healed.

[01:11:42] And all the... There's, like... They, uh... Man, the story is real fucking sad. Sad and emotional, and, like, I've... I've had bits and pieces of it spoiled by people in the past, because, I mean, it's an old game, and people suck, and they're gonna spoil it, but... So I kind of already know what happens, and it's just kind of sad seeing it unfold as I play the game, and... Like, right away in the beginning of the game, you fucking feel it, like...

[01:12:13] Right the fuck away, like the first hour of the game. And... Also, the rhythm-based combat. At first, I thought it was, like, impossible, but now I'm kind of starting to get the hang of it. Like, I don't really understand the rhythm of, like, the songs that are playing when you're... So, when you're in combat in Mother 3, there's, like, there's a certain beat to... I don't know if it's certain enemies, or if it's, like, the songs that play during combat.

[01:12:42] But you can... If you time the A button hits right when you hit attack, you can get up to a 16-hit combo, and just do stupid amounts of damage in one turn. But you have to follow a certain rhythm. I don't know what it's based off. If it's based off the background music in battle, or if it's based off certain enemies' heartbeats or something stupid. I thought it was based off the music. The music itself, like... It might be. You gotta go...

[01:13:11] You gotta go to the time of the music. I could be wrong. Because when I played it, I also didn't play it the good way. I played it with a bunch of latency, and I didn't even know there was timed hits in the fucking game. I mean, they... Which sucks. It almost makes me want to play it again, because I feel like that's such a critical part, and unless you emulate it properly, you're not really gonna get the full... Did you go through and put on that run-ahead shit? Yeah, I put it on run-ahead, like, one frame. Like, one...

[01:13:41] Yeah, one frame, I think. And... You could do two. You can get away with two. In Hi-Fi Rush, you know, there's that natural beat to everything, and, like, on the bottom of your screen, you can turn on that marker that shows you, like, what the current beat is. You can kind of do that in Mother 3. You put an enemy to sleep, and you'll get that... Can you? Yeah, you put him to sleep, and you can hear their heartbeat and shit, and you can...

[01:14:09] If you follow that beat with the A button, easy breezy, but... Yeah, some songs, it's hard to understand what the pattern is. Like, there's this one boss early on in the game. You're sneaking through this mansion, and... It's, like, some Mozart ghost, and it's a... It's some classical song, and I, like... I didn't understand what the fuck the beat was supposed to be to it, and you can't put bosses to sleep.

[01:14:36] So I was like, okay, well, fuck, I guess I'm just gonna grind my way through this. But, um... Yeah, one of the coolest parts about Mother 3 is just how it all... Like, it starts off in just a primitive-ass town, like Taz Milney Village. It's just a... It's a normal... Well, not, like, a modern-day village, but, like... There's dinosaurs. There's dinosaurs. Maybe more, like, Wild West, if anything.

[01:15:04] And then slowly it all starts, like, mutating and, like, modernizing because of this, like, evil outside force. Like, they're... They've taken all the natural wildlife and turned them into, like, either, like, disgusting chimera creatures. Like, combinations of, like, a moose and a dinosaur just tossing it into the wild to see what happens. Or, like, they're... They make, like, the mecha dinos and the mecha caribou and shit like that.

[01:15:33] And it's... It's wild how... You can almost see a direct, like, uh... What's the word? Juxtaposition of, like... Or I guess dichotomy is the better word for it. So, like, Earthbound, the humor is more, like, front-facing. Like, everything... Like, this stupid, fucking dumb, hilarious humor. It's all right in your face all the time. And, like, the...

[01:15:57] The emotion to the story and everything kind of takes a backseat because it's just, like, goofy, stupid, fuzzy pickles, Zoom, drinks, drink this mushroom coffee and go on a trip type shit. But then in Mother 3, it's, like, it's the opposite. Like, it's always so fucking sad and, like, in your face with the emotion. That takes the front seat. Whereas all the goofy shit is just kind of shoved to the back. Like, sometimes you'll get some funny dialogue that makes you go, ha-ha.

[01:16:26] But, like, almost all the time... Did you see the part, yeah, when they're flying away in the hot air balloon? And then the dog, like, jumps and grabs onto Lucas's, like, pants. His pants come down, like, shows his little ass. I, uh... Man, I had one playthrough a couple years ago where I got really, really far. I think I was getting to, like, the last pin of the world or whatever they're called.

[01:16:50] And then it was on my old phone that I dropped on some fucking gravel and crashed the screen and couldn't play it anymore. But, yeah, now I'm... I got... I couldn't stop playing this game. I got all the way to the desert with Salsa the monkey. And I'm gonna see this motherfucker through. God damn it. Salsa's good shit, man. Salsa is super cool. I hate that he has that electro collar on him. Fuck. Um... What the fuck is his name? Um...

[01:17:20] Fasan, or I don't know what the fuck his name is. He sucks. Fuck him. Yep. No, it's a good game, man. I'm glad that you're, uh... You're committed at this point to getting that done. It will get... This is a... This is a direct Aaron, uh... Uh... Like, I promise I'm gonna beat this game. I'll see it through. God damn it. Speaking of getting it done... Get her done. Get her done. I was reminded, uh... The other day...

[01:17:49] For those of you that, uh... That... Didn't... Listen to Super Ghost Radio. That were... Super Pod. We had our own fantasy critic... Thing going on Super Ghost Radio. Uh... I lost... Last year. And the year before that. And the year before that, didn't I? Or did... No. Greg. I lost. Yeah. You lost. Um...

[01:18:18] But I lost... The first time... You guys made me play Assassin's Creed Odyssey. And... I was... Furious. Because I hate those games. And... Even after trying to give it a chance... I still hate those games. Um... And then you picked another game that I was like... Dude... Fucking guys... I... You keep picking games I hate. Isn't that the point though? Like you lost. It's not a reward.

[01:18:48] However, I'll say this. The point is, Jerry... We picked games... That we believe you would like... If you gave them a try. Right. Games you would never... Play yourself. It worked. Because... I... Gotta tell you, man. When you guys pick Stardew Valley... For me to play... I don't... I don't like... Farm games. I don't like... Slice of Life shit. It's not my style. I don't like that. I don't like...

[01:19:18] Wasting... Hours and hours of just like... You know... Making sure I got enough fucking water on my parsnips... So I can go explore the cave. But... Then something clicked... Yesterday... When Greg called me out and said... Have you played your eight mandatory hours yet? And I was like... Or no... What was the initial stipulations? Wasn't it like... Get to... The ice... Caves or something? Originally...

[01:19:48] We wanted you to have a farm that made sense... And... We wanted you to... Farm that made sense... And... Get to a certain level in the... In the... The caves... And... I don't know if we included... I don't remember if we included... A museum... Completion percentage... But... No... I don't remember that... Yeah... I think at first you guys were like... Get married... And then you retracted that too... I think it was... No... Get married was... Was one of the...

[01:20:17] The stips... Yeah... One of the stipulations... Fucking... What? Yeah... We wanted you to get married... Well... Here's what I will say... After... Jumping back into that... Because I initially just played it... Very briefly... And was like... Oh boy... I don't want to do this... This time though... As I was driving... For work today... I was like... Ooh...

[01:20:45] I should go explore more of that... Mining... Thing... Because that was... That was fun... So I get it... I'm starting to get it... I am starting to get it... I am starting to enjoy it... I... I still don't give a shit... About... Making friends... And... Like you were like... Jerry... You're missing... The egg festival... And I was like... I don't care... He fucking blew off the egg festival... You fool...

[01:21:14] Yeah... I don't care... I was like... In the... I was like... In the caves... And it was like... The fucking egg festival... Is happening... I don't care... I don't care... About no goddamn egg festival... I don't care if it's Robin's birthday tomorrow... Like I don't care... I'm not making friends... I don't know why Jerry hates joy... But... It's cool that it clicked though... Like... I'm not... Yeah, finally...

[01:21:43] I'm not the biggest fan of farm sims... But there are some that click... And yeah... It's good that you found... Little bits that you enjoy... Which I think is just the mine... Yeah... Pretty much... But think about it like this... Like you do... You go on the farm... To finance your excursions into the mine... Because you need to have money... And you have to have money to upgrade your gear... And then if you grow certain things... You can use those certain things... To give you more health and stamina... When you're in the mine...

[01:22:11] Or for recipes to make meals... To eat while you're in the mine... Like it's all intertwined Jerry... It's all intertwined... Because you will... You'll get to a point where you will be... Kind of stop-gapped in the mine... Where you... Will need to have upgraded your... Your stuff to be able to actually kill things... In a timely manner... Without... You know... Destroying your stamina... Or to... You know... Just to like... Like heal... And the certain... Like the things you find around there... Resources get more and more scarce... You have to prepare...

[01:22:42] Yeah... Here's the real... Yeah... Real big money time question Jerry... How... Like... Disgusting and terrifying... Did you make your character... Uh... Not at all... Like in the game? Yeah... Like in Star Trek... Yeah... Not at all... He just kind of looks like Trunks... Okay... That's fair... I mean... I... In the one playthrough... My guy's skin is like lime green...

[01:23:11] He has the most disgusting... Like raggedy black beard... He's got... Like he's got a... A flat top hairdo... Of fucking course you did... Dude... He's cool... He's so fucking cool... He's a mayonnaise expert bro... That is... Holy shit... I knew it... I knew it... I knew it... Like... This man... Not a single fucking serious... Well like we were pitching you ideas... For a... A different show... That we might do as a... As a video show... And I knew...

[01:23:40] Fucking right away... Like when it was like... Oh... We're gonna get Aaron to guess something... And I was like... Aaron... The only way this works... The only way it works... Is that you cannot answer with something like... Oh he just wanted to fucking go to Denny's... And get a fucking... Grand slam... And then get his fucking ass ape... And I was like... You can't answer like that... And you were like... Fuck dude... I actually did think about that... Yeah... I mean... I don't know... Maybe I am really bad at not taking things seriously... But also fuck it... I don't know... If we did that... I will take it seriously...

[01:24:10] Like just... Just tell me Aaron... You need to take this seriously... And I'll fucking... Like... Malcolm in the middle... Unfreeze frame... Into whatever we're doing... And not be a goofy... Fucking dumb dumb... Oh it's fine... But when it comes to making characters in games... I'll always make them look like fucking gremlins... I don't give a shit... It's a video game... Sue me... That's so crazy... That's so crazy... I can't... Like I can't... Not make... Well... Put it this way... If the opportunity... Is there... I'm making that character look like Sephiroth...

[01:24:39] You better fuck... That's... Yeah... That's fair... Like... When uh... I think... Soul Calibur 3 came out... And you could make your own Soul Calibur character... I was like... Dude... I'm making Cloud... And Dante... And I'm making all these people... Understandable... I get it... Mm-hmm... Um... I also got called out... By another friend of mine... Who was like... You're never gonna beat that game... You know that right? And I was like...

[01:25:09] I will... And that game I'm talking about is Okami... I don't know how many fucking times I've started that game... Oh man... You and I... Had an episode of Retro Rehab with Dave Jackson... Where he sentenced us to play... Games that were on our backlog... Oh... I still got out... And you sure as fuck didn't do that either... I started Robo Trek... Yeah... Yeah... Yeah... So... I... Fired up that Okami... Because I have that now on Switch 2... Which... It doesn't make a difference...

[01:25:38] It's still just the Switch 1 game... Um... Turns out... Okami... On Switch... Is good shit... Because Okami with a controller... Is not it... You gotta have... The waggle man... But I think the Switch version is... Probably a really good middle ground... Because it doesn't have Wii Waggle... Because on the Wii... You used to have to attack...

[01:26:06] With the nunchuck... You used to have to fucking jerk around the nunchuck... Now you don't gotta do that... You can just... Hit the button... Like Y... You can hit Y... And attack... But like... It... Makes it better for doing like the drawing... For anybody that doesn't know what Okami is... You play as a dog... And... You press a button... And it kind of like freeze frames... What you're seeing on screen... And you can draw...

[01:26:35] Different shapes... And some of them are like... Almost like magic... Um... Some of them are attacks... It makes it very difficult to do those though... With a controller... So much better with... With the... The... I was gonna say the Wiimotes... But the... The Joycons... So I... I'm going to try to beat... Okami... Hell yeah... In... 2025...

[01:27:04] I'm gonna try... How... Because I... I... I gotta do it... It's a long fucking game dude... How many hours... I think it's like 30 hours... Minimum... That's... I think... I mean how... How long is a typical Zelda game? That's like... That's like about the same... Isn't it? It's 33 hours... Okami... From the main story... Yep... Main sides is 40... Completionist is 53... Which... I mean... Honestly... If...

[01:27:34] 53 to do everything... That's not bad... There's not a... See that's the thing... There's not a big gap between like... Just playing it... And fully completing it... When you think about it... Right? Like this... Yeah... It's... It's recorded at 33 hours... For main... And then completionist is 53... That's not a huge jump... That's not terrible... To me that's not... That's not a huge jump... If you wanted to be a completionist... And the main... Which I'm not... The main story... Yeah... It's not as...

[01:28:03] Not that much longer than... Ocarina of Time... Or Majora's Mask... According to how long to beat anyway... Those are both... Running at like 31 hours... Okami at 33... Really? So it's... Yeah... Ocarina of Time... Maybe... Maybe it was 29... It was around 30... I'm pretty sure... 20... Yeah... Ocarina of Time... Is 27 hours... For the main story... 30 for main extra... Which... Yeah... You can probably... You can probably slot it into that... Because...

[01:28:33] If you're gonna play those games... You're not just mainlining it... Like you're gonna... You're gonna explore and... You know... Do some other things... Um... Let's see what Majora's is... It's the same thing... 21 and a half for the main... And then main extra is 30... So yeah... I mean not... Not terrible... Not terrible... For... That type of game... But... Yeah... I definitely... I mean... Okami has been... That game that's...

[01:29:02] I would say that's like my biggest... Backlog game... Because... I've just been putting it off... And putting it off... And putting it off... And I knew... The second that I laid hands on Okami... When I bought it for the Wii... When it came out... Even though it came out for PS2 first... Um... But when it came out for the Wii... That's when I got it... And... I knew then... I was like... I... I love this game... This is... Like everything... About this game is amazing... And now... Especially with Grasshopper being back...

[01:29:31] That's crazy... Like you knew about that right? That they're back? I did not know they were back... Did they... Are they the ones who did the remaster? Mmm... I don't think... Let's see... Okami... Um... That's cool that they're back though... Maybe we can get... Uh... Oh no... I keep saying Grasshopper... I keep fucking it up... It's Clover... Sorry... It's Clover Studio... Clover... Okay... Yeah... I was like... I was like... Grasshopper? Grasshopper is...

[01:30:01] Grasshopper is... Suda 51... Isn't it? Yeah... Um... So... Yeah... I... Uh... I've... I thought though that... Is it Grasshopper that's back? And not Clover? Am I crazy? I thought Clover Studio said that they like... Came back... No clue... Yes...

[01:30:30] The spirit of Clover Studio is back... In the form of a new independent studio... Called Clovers... Okay... Just put an S on the end... Cool... Founded by director Hideki Kamiya... Clovers is collaborating with Capcom... To develop a sequel to the classic Clover Studio game Okami... I forgot that they announced that... Yeah... That's the thing... Breaking news... Breaking news... By breaking news... I mean as of 11 hours ago... According to... According to... Random...

[01:31:00] Ad on Facebook... Or... Or... Random like article on Facebook... Rumors are claiming that Rockstar is making an open world medieval game... Oh... Oh my god... Am I... And then... And then small... Maybe... Maybe you're... Am I a medium? Or something? You got some... Some of that Nostradamus in you... Some of that... Beneath the headline... There's a smaller text that says... Speculation about Project Medieval has little evidence... Damn it... Like... It's very funny...

[01:31:30] That it's... How fucking cool would it be though... To have a third person... Open world... Wonky physics... Medieval game man... You're just like some knight by the name of fucking... I don't know... Gawain or something stupid... And you're just like... I'm gonna... Ted... Sir... Sir Ted... Sir Ted himself... I mean... It's a little bit more... More fantasy... But isn't that essentially what Witcher 3 is? Yeah...

[01:32:00] In some ways... A little bit... Leaning a bit heavier on fantasy... But yeah... Yeah... Fuck the Witcher is such a good game... I should... At some point... Play those DLCs... You should... Oh my god... They're so good... We can't get into it again... My uh... My buddy Jared... He has beaten the Wild Hunt... At least like six times... He replays it like every fucking year... Dude... It's nuts... It's great... It's a good game... I never understood the concept of replaying games like that...

[01:32:29] Infinitely... Well Jerry... It's cause you have a problem... Yeah... I don't have a problem... You've never replayed any of your favorite games? Like ever? No... Once he's... Once he's beaten them... Then they mean nothing to him anymore... And they go in the bin... Like you don't ever want to just experience those... So like characters... Or towns... Like that's me with Final Fantasy 9 dude... The soundtrack... And like the way it resonates with each town... Like as soon as I enter a town... I know the song... It's already playing in my head... Like I want to experience that game...

[01:32:58] Again right now actually... But I gotta do Mother 3 first... But you don't have that problem... Is that what I'm asking? I am... I don't know... Like I'll go back... And play... Like Ocarina of Time... Once like a decade... Jesus... I don't know... Not like... I'm gonna do this like once every couple years... It's probably one of my favorite games of all time... But like... I'm not doing that... I just feel like... I wanna experience... New things continuously... Yeah...

[01:33:27] And... To me... When I started to really lock in on... Finishing games... That's when I started to realize like... How satisfying it was to actually... Finish fucking games... Because I was like you Aaron... Where I was just like... Ooh... Ooh... Shiny thing over there... I'm starting that now... And it's like... Look how fucking crazy Donkey Kong Bonanza is... And then it's like... Yeah by the way... I started four other games... Like I was doing that shit... Like back in the PS3 days... Dude...

[01:33:56] Like PS3 and Wii... Were fucking atrocious... From my like backlog... I was just... Starting a game... Thrown on... Playing like... 40 minutes of it... And being like... Okay... Next... And just like... On to the next... My thing... My thing is that like... The games I start... They'll hook me with like... Really good shit... And then I'll get to something... That just... Makes me hate my time... With that game... Like with... Phantasy Star... Great example... Loved every minute of that game... Until I got to the Air Castle...

[01:34:25] And I don't want to waste... My fucking time... Going through that stupid dungeon... For like two more hours... Get a walkthrough... Fuck that... I shouldn't have to do that... People back in the day... Didn't have to do that... Why should I? I mean I could just get a fucking guide... And just go through it... Just to get on with it... Hey what are we doing... What are we talking about here? Just get a fuck... You can probably... My point is... I mean... I don't want to waste... My fucking time... With games that piss me off... I want to play games that like... That I want to play... I don't want to just... But it just seems wild to me...

[01:34:53] To play a game for so long... And then have one thing piss you off... And you go... Okay... I'm going to throw 15 hours away... Yeah... I just... I don't want to waste any more time... I've already wasted enough time... I don't want to waste any more... It's like... It's like trying to... Like the... Again... Simpsons reference... When he... Homer's trying to put together... That fucking grill... And like nothing's going right... And he's like... Lay grill? What the hell is that? And then he just smashes it all... That's me with like every game... Yeah... I don't know... I...

[01:35:23] There's not been... A ton of games... That I've actually noped out of... Fully... After starting... Like... I don't remember the last... I think the last one was... The sequel to... Some... I don't know... Some fucking horror game... That I was like... I enjoyed the first one... And then there was a second one... And I threw that on... And I was like... Wow... This is dog shit... And I played it for like... A half an hour... And then turned it off... I think the last one... The last one was...

[01:35:52] Assassin's Creed Odyssey... You might be right... That probably was the last one... Because I... I did not have time... To... To keep... Going with that... And get punished... They're too long... For not sneaking around... They're too long... And for what? I wasn't even... We didn't ask him to finish the game... No, no... I... I just... I don't know... I don't know, man...

[01:36:22] I don't know... They're not... That... That formula does not work... All right... Let me tell you, Jerry... Never again, okay... Never again... Because you can't go to jail... And be like... You know what? I'm not feeling it... Can you let me out... At six months... At six years instead of eight... They'll tell you to go to hell... Get in there, you... And then they fucking... They throw a swap bucket at you... Get back in there... We'll spray you with a goddamn hose, okay? Uh-huh... Bear mace or something... I understand... Yes...

[01:36:51] But I told you, I won't be fooled again... I don't know how... I think... I think... Uh... You and I are doing... Decently for our fantasy critics... I, uh... I don't know if we can say the same for our good friend Beth, though... You gotta be careful... Because all of Beth's games come out end of the year... Oh, yeah... Yeah, Beth's only sitting at a 74... So you don't know... You never know... Uh... Greg... Oof... Jesus...

[01:37:19] Greg is sitting at a nice comfy 161... What the fuck? What? Greg... Greg's crushing it... Yeah, Greg's crushing it... I got 112... Um... I, uh... It's funny because... I named my... Uh... I named my fantasy game developer... Nanny's Hole... Mine is Beef Farms LLC...

[01:37:45] And I'm sitting at a cool, breezy 76.2... Do you know what mine's called? I'll give you a guess at what mine's called... Shit... Shit Farm LLC... Nope... Nope... Umamusume... It's called Greg... When we asked him... What do you want it to be called? He said, Greg... We were like, you can name it anything... And he was like... That is the name I want... That's what I want, man... What are you talking about?

[01:38:16] Publisher... Much like his... Yeah, much like his profile on the website... Which you should go check out... Go check out that website... Superghost.site... Go to the about page... It's there... It's great... Yep... It says... His name is Greg... And this is... What he looks like today... Anyways... If you're watching the YouTube... Go watch the YouTube videos... They're all there... I look like something different... Almost every episode... There's some repeats... But sometimes... I usually will look like something different... Yeah... One of these days... You know...

[01:38:45] One of these days... We'll get... We'll get you a nice one, buddy... Don't you worry... We'll get you a nice one... We'll get you a nice one... Random... That old chestnut... I've got... I've got a fat one... I've got a fat nut... I need to get off of here... I'm just... No... Um... Okay, so... Jerry and I almost talked about this for a second... Uh... Yellow Jackets... Holy... Shit... Dude... So... For anyone that hasn't heard of the show... Uh...

[01:39:15] Basically this... Um... This girl... This high school girl soccer team... Um... They're taking a plane to Canada for nationals... It crash lands... I talked about this in another episode... Yeah... Crash lands... They're in the wilderness now... They're fighting for survival... And like... There's a lot of... Plot points... And like... Pieces of the story... Like basically... The story... Kind of leans heavily one way... And really... Toys with your expectations...

[01:39:44] And then like... When you get to the... The end of a... Of season three... It's like... Well... Okay... Well... Shit... I didn't expect any of that... Like it's... Like the... The twistiest... Like darkest... Shit ever... Man... I... If you haven't watched... Yellow Jackets yet... Go watch that shit... Like... Yesterday... Like... Yeah... It's good... It's so good... Do it... Um...

[01:40:14] I'll go quick... My random recommended game... I'm gonna keep it to games... Cause the... The stinger still says... Random recommended games... That's fine... Even though it should probably say... Random recommended things... Um... Yeah... Cause it's just been like... Movies... Fucking... Aaron's like... I heard a really good Deathcore album... The other day... There was Seven Pig Squeals... The blast beats don't stop... From second one to the last song... Had a good Hobie... Every time you're like... Dude...

[01:40:43] Check this out... It's just... It's just like... A machine gun going off... I love that shit... That's so good... Oh god... There's only so much Lorna Shore... Kind of shit I can take... Um... Anyways... That's not my... My random recommended game is... Fucking Spelunky dude... Yeah... God... Damn... Spelunky... I forgot... How much I love Spelunky... And... I introduced... My nephew who lives with us... Currently...

[01:41:13] I was like... He came down on... Like... This past weekend... He was like... Let's play some video games... Normally we'd throw on like... Mario Kart and do like a knockout tour or something... And I was like... Actually dude... You're gonna play... Spelunky... And he was like... What's that? And I was like... You're ready... He wasn't ready... He wasn't ready for that shit... He was fucking throwing bombs all over the place... Blowing shit up... And then he... He started to lock in... And like...

[01:41:41] It didn't take long for him to understand... That... You know... This is a... Fuck around and find out kind of game... But... Yeah... I... My other friend and I... Went on... Some pretty good fucking runs in Spelunky... Last couple weeks... Having gotten to Olmec... What's funny is... I've never beat Spelunky 1... But I've... I've beat Spelunky 2... And I was like... I feel like I gotta go back and beat Spelunky 1... I... I feel like I... I need to do that...

[01:42:11] Also... Not a... Not a game... But... I got really fucking... Drunk and stoned... On the weekend with my buddy... And... Out of nowhere... He just busted out a fucking box... Of DVDs... And I was like... What the fuck is going on right now? He's like... Dude... This is my DVD collection... I was like... He's curious... What? Where he goes... I don't know where... He was just like stashed away... And then like... It came to his attention... Which... I don't know if I told you guys this... Because I was like... You know... He had all the Matrix movies...

[01:42:40] And I was like... You know... I don't know if I've actually watched the Matrix... And he was like... What? And I was like... Yeah... I think I've seen like... The first Matrix... Organically... Like... Just... At like... People's houses... But I've never watched the second one... Or the third one... Or the fourth... I've never seen... The Animatrix... Never seen any of those... But... The thing that blew my mind that night... Was I picked up this DVD... And I was like... The fuck is this? And he was like... Dude...

[01:43:09] That's that Daft Punk anime... And I was like... Huh? And I forgot... They made a fucking full anime... For that Discovery album... Remember how like... The music videos were like... Anime? Anime? Like... I don't... Better... Harder... Better... Faster... Stronger... You watch Interstellar 5555? That's the name... Yeah... I couldn't think of the name... Um... We threw that on... And it's literally just... That album... To an anime... And...

[01:43:39] My mind was blown... Because I fucking love that... That album... It's probably my favorite Daft Punk album... And... Then... As soon as we finished that... Like I was like... This was like... 1230 at night... I thought like... Okay... We're gonna gear down now... Like... I was crashing into this place... Because you know... We were drinking and stuff... Then he's like... Dude... You know... We should do now... And I was like... What? We should throw on a live... 2000... And... What was that? 7? Something like that...

[01:44:08] I think it's 2007... Anyways... The live Daft Punk... Dude... I was like... I felt like I was at a fucking rave... Like I was... We were just bopping to this thing... Until like... 2 o'clock in the morning... Or no... It was like... We must have started this thing at like... 2.30 or something... Because like... We didn't go to sleep... Until like... 4 o'clock in the morning... Because we were just fucking jamming... To this rave in his basement... It was crazy... But yeah... Go play Spelunky... And go listen to some Daft Punk...

[01:44:38] Should I tell... Should I tell Aaron my sad story? About Daft Punk? Your sad story? About Daft Punk... Oh yeah... You should... You should tell the listeners... Tell the listeners my sad story... So that... That a live tour... Like the last concert Daft Punk ever did... I had tickets... To go to a live... And then... Me and my friend were in a fight... And then I was basically like... Fuck you... I'm not going... And I didn't go... And I will... Sometimes think about this... And just be like... Fuck... That was an all-timer... That I missed...

[01:45:08] That does... Fucking suck man... Yeah... Aaron do you like Daft Punk? Uh... I mean... No... It's not something I would go out of my way... To listen to... Like... I mean if it comes on the radio... Sure I'll listen to it... But... I'm... What about like... Old Daft Punk? Cause... I don't know... You don't normally hear old Daft Punk on the radio... I don't know... It's not my kind of music... What you should do is go to the... Go like... Bring up like the live tour on like...

[01:45:37] On like YouTube... And just see some of like the mixes they did... Cause some of that shit is like... Oh it's insane... The way that they... Yeah like... Robot Rock... Was... Fucked... Like... And the way that like... Prime time of your life... The way that that goes... Well I can't remember what I want to float into... But like... Holy shit... The way that they... It went into rolling and scratching... Yeah... Oh god dude... Yeah that was... Fucking crazy... That was so crazy... Um... Yeah like...

[01:46:08] Aaron maybe... Maybe it isn't your kind of music... But... It's... It's really something... Maybe I... I should just get you to watch that... That prime time of your life... And rolling and scratching... Cause man... Yeah it'll haunt me forever... And with that... On that note... Uh... Let's uh... Let's haunt our asses out of here... Hey? Let's get out of here... Get... I'm ready... Get... Alright... I gotta go watch some Alien Earth... Cause it's good... Nah... It sucks...

[01:46:38] I need to sort through books... Sort through books... Alright... Dog trash... Cool... Dog trash... Alright... Uh... Bye... So一切 Bye.
