⁓ Hey, 100X Life, welcome back to the podcast. I hope you've had an amazing week. Just got back from Florida, doing business out there and now rocking and rolling back in Bend. It's been so awesome. And now we get to go into the holiday seasons, Thanksgiving and Christmas. So we want to do for the next three podcasts,
We wanna help prepare you to finish well for 2025. This is the end of the year. This is the final months. We're gonna have Thanksgiving and Christmas. Things are gonna get crazy. so we'll be talking about family and how to navigate family gatherings and relationships. We'll be discussing the importance of gratitude in these two final months of the year. But first,
I want to talk about the mindset required to finish 2025 well. How do we get the right mindset for Thanksgiving, for Christmas, we're going to be with family. Whenever you're with your family, everything from the childhood seems to come up. Even if you put on your best face, it seems like by the end of it, you're like, my gosh, this has been painful. And then sometimes, you know, new heights and joy.
And many of us have experienced and I think you could probably remember one time where you reconciled with a family member and how freeing that was. So what is the mindset That you can choose to transform the ending of 2025. Let's let's dive in. So we're going to talk about mindsets
we are a 100x of Jesus followers. And what was distinguishing about Jesus from the Jewish mindset of the day, which was pretty much steeped in law, is the is the juxtaposition between thinking and doing. The Jewish law, the old covenant, the focus was on the outward perception. What is he doing? What is she doing?
Jesus, however, is interested in heart alignment. Even in the old covenant, David was a man after God's heart. This is who he was looking for. His inner world, David's inner world, was consistent with his outward expression. This is what Jesus wants. Without inner and outward alignment, hypocrisy was born. hypocrisy was high on Jesus' list of disgust. He hated religion and religious leaders for their hypocrisy.
Jesus says that following Him requires repentance, which means we've got to change the way we think. Jesus is after our heart and our mind first. He knows this will lead us to an appropriate outward expressions. Instead of being forced, we will naturally love when we carry within us transformed thinking aligned with Jesus' kingdom.
Therefore, to follow Jesus, you know, if we're going to manifest His love within us and show up as salt and light to the world, we must have the right mindset. Maybe show up for salt and light to your family. It requires the right mindset. Our natural thinking must be shaped and conformed to His words. When we live His words, the love of Jesus will naturally emanate from us. And who does not want?
the natural love of Jesus to emanate from us in these last two months of 2025. Another way to think about this is through the lens of this universal truism. Here it is. And I really want you to focus on this truism because it really matters and will give you a roadmap of what you must do to transform your future. Here it is. People behave according to how the world occurs to them.
People behave according to how the world occurs to them. Everyone's behaving perfectly in accordance with their perception of the world around us. The scripture reference here is Proverbs 23:7 As a man thinks, so he is. So from this perspective, your mindset is paramount because it predicts how you will show up to yourself, to your family, to those at your workplace.
And to the world, even in the supermarket, as I like to say, even in the supermarket, how you show up is predicted by how you think, how you're perceiving how the world occurs to you in your mind is how you're going to naturally behave. That is really crazy to think about. That means that you have so much more authority over what's going to happen and how you show up in the world, how you're going to paint a new picture for yourself, a new future.
for yourself. If we just stay and the world occurs to us the way it always has, then our future has already been written. It's written based on our current thinking. Jesus is calling us to repentance, to change the way we think so that we are different. We show up different. In the 100X life, we choose to put Jesus' words into practice because doing so grants us an abundant life mindset.
Goal is repentance. We need to change the way we think to have a Jesus following future. That's the future we want. So question for you, what is the mindset you need most right now? What mindset will give you the best future as we land the plane in 2025 and we say goodbye to this year and it just becomes a memory. But more importantly, somehow the finishing well of this year is
in some way or shape or form how we're going to finish our life. We're fighting for the greatest kingdom outcome possible, and that requires oxygen mask on first in order for us to transform the way we think so that we can naturally show up in love. The answer to your question, the answer to this question about what mindset.
do you need most right now? I wanna first come up with the most outlandish vision of success possible. So we're gonna back in this. Before we talk about mindsets, we're gonna first talk about vision. And specifically, I want you to create a vision that rewrites the script of this year's holiday season. You know, what if you could rewrite the script? You could write it right now. What if you could establish the perfect...
interactions with friends and family yielding the highest love outcomes. How would you describe them? So we're going to do this in past tense. We're going to journal. And if you can do it while I'm talking, that's great. If not, you know, you're driving. Let's bring out your journal and do this later. But this is what we're journaling. We're journaling from the future, describing why 2025 stood out as the best.
finish to the year you have ever experienced. And this is also your journal prompt for this Monday. So this is the journal prompt. Journal from the future. Imagine that you are at the end of 2025 and it's New Year's Eve and you, maybe we meet at a party, a New Year's Eve party, and you're like, Rob, ⁓ my gosh, I cannot even believe the last two months of 25 were the best two months of the entire year.
And you're so excited. Tell me what are you journaling in that past tense description to me describing the most successful end to a year that you can ever remember. So you're going to journal in past tense as if you're talking to someone. Maybe you could imagine me. It's fine. Here are some possibilities that we want to really go for it. We want to swing for the fences here. We want to go out of the park. Out of the park would be.
out of the realm of our current thinking of what's possible. We want to make sure that vision is beyond our current thinking. So here's some things you might journal. I was fully present with my family and friends, undistracted by the year's final tasks and responsibilities. Wouldn't that be freeing? Wouldn't it be cool not to be bound up or a slave to the final tasks and responsibilities, but very present?
with every member of your family. Here's another one. I had a pronounced inner joy and excitement that led my every conversation. Wow, who does not want that amazing joy? You were just lit up for these last two months. Here's another one. The permanent smile on my face was contagious. I was smiling. Everyone else was smiling. Here's another one.
Even in the face of some difficult family situations, my heart was alive with compassion in a way that I could favor each individual. Wow. We know those difficult conversations are coming, those difficult interactions that are going to be triggering, triggering childhood memories, which also trigger emotions in our brain, just like that. What if in the face of difficult situations, my heart was alive?
with compassion in a way that I could favor each person. How about this? I had an un-offendable heart. I was so focused on denying my own needs, I was able to truly focus on the needs of others. Wow, I want that. Here's another one. I had no condemnation in my heart. I walked in constant forgiveness of every family member not holding their actions against them.
And I want you to also include in that to expand your vision. Those that you're not going to see, those that you are estranged from. family members in your past who have betrayed you, who you've written off never to see again. Let's let's change the script on this. OK, here's a final one. I was more free and loving than any past holiday I can remember. I was free to love.
Who does not want that? Okay, so those are some examples. Fill in your journal with the most outlandish picture that you can possibly imagine. Okay, and then I want you to ask the question, is this in the realm of my thinking? In other words, if we're at the baseball stadium, know, go Dodgers, we just won. I couldn't believe those final minutes. I was actually watching the game from Florida and I turned it off in the eighth inning right before.
⁓ the third score home run. Yeah, I watched it later, but man, that was such a cool outcome. So if the stadium and the ball field is your realm of thinking and then over the fence or outside the ballpark is beyond your thinking, in other words, you don't even think that's ever going to be possible. mean, who even thinks that you can hit the ball and it actually goes outside the stadium? That would be kind of an impossibility. So
If it is possible, in other words, if your vision of the next two months, past tense written journaling, if your vision is possible in your thinking, I would suggest perhaps your vision is not God sized enough. It's not big enough. How can I support this with scripture? Well, if you think of Ephesians 3:20 where Paul says to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we can ask.
or imagine. Wow. that the word immeasurably means abundantly beyond our thinking capacity. Out of the park, hitting the ball out of the park, into the parking lot, out of our realm of the way we can think. That's how God shows up. So we need to stretch our vision of the future to account for God's goodness to us. Read back your vision, the one you have for the next two months.
Is there anything or something you could add that would make it even more impossible? And may the God of doing the impossible guide you on this. OK, so once you have your crazy big vision written in past tense, here's what I want you to do. I want you to ask Jesus, what are the mindsets? What are two or three mindsets that would need to be true for me? In other words.
Here's the way I think. Here's the way I'm currently thinking. What mindsets are needed that will make that vision possible? What's my role is another way of saying that. What's my role in thinking in the way I show up? I wanna point out here that there's an incredible intersection between you and God showing up together. I promise you every time someone says, look what God has done.
There is a person who is obedient, who is in partnership with God. He partners with us to expand his kingdom. The 100xLife is a partnership with Jesus. We are following him and he's always right there with us, amplifying our devotion to love. He always amplifies it. So, so yes, Lord, please grant me this vision.
for the end of 2025. In other words, that's my prayer. I want this vision to be true and also teach me what is my role in the vision. That's what I'm asking you right now. Journal this mindset. Journal the mindset that Jesus would like you to possess in the next two months. Here's some examples that you might look at. Here's one mindset. I will practice thankfulness towards each person in my family. That's a really cool one.
You can do that right now. You can start in your time. I implore you to have a time in the morning where it's just you and God and you're thinking with Him or perhaps with one member of the Trinity through your day, through your week, through your month, through the season that you're currently in. I implore you to do that. So in that space, you could start practicing thankfulness now towards each person in your family. In other words, you're cultivating gratitude.
You're imagining each person and you're programming and reprogramming your unconscious mind, which is your brain and your body, to automatically think in favor of each family member. That's one mindset. Here's another one. I will need to forgive them right now, even before they hurt me so that I can be free to love them. That's a powerful one. this is the word of Jesus, forgive.
How do I forgive them? Is there anything against a family member now that I know I'm gonna have to confront? Because it's gonna dredge up the hurt of the past and those emotions that go with them. How can I sit in my mornings with God and forgive them now? And practice, like even imagining what it would be like for me to forgive in real time.
Other family members. Here's another one. I will visualize a difficult conversation and meditate on my response so that it aligns with love. You're to have difficult conversations. We know we're not going to happen in the families. Very, very few families where we don't have pain from the past that gets dredged up This is just that would be extremely rare. I don't know if it even exists. So visualizing, creating a mindset.
where you're actually imagining the difficult conversation and then meditating on your response brain. Here's how I want you to naturally respond to this difficult conversation. I want it to align with love. What are your mindsets? Here's one more. I will decide that I am the one who will give to my family this season without anything in return. my gosh.
How would that transform the way you're seeing and the way you're creating? That would be transformative. If you just decided right now, hey, Deny Myself looks like I'm going to give. Give to the one who asks. I'm going to give to my family this season without asking anything in return. Hey, if I get something in return, that'll be amazing, but I am not going to expect anything. I am going to be a servant to my family this year.
Okay, so journal the mindset that Jesus says will be most effective. There's probably more than I've listed. I'm just giving you examples. Don't let the examples sway you or maybe let them lead you, but try to come up with one that's tailored to you. You know the way you think and Jesus absolutely knows the way you think. And he will come up with a mindset that will partner with him in your prayer.
to have these final months of 2025 be absolutely transformative. You are going to transform the next two months by spending 30 minutes creating a perfect vision and the required mindsets to get there. Then you're going to put Jesus's direction into action. Practice these mindsets and see the world transform before your eyes. Your new mindsets instruct how the world is occurring to you. Remember that.
They're actually predicting how the world is occurring and how the world occurs to you as leading your behavior. So if you change the way you think about occurrence, all your behavior will come into the alignment with love. And in this new world, great clarity of how to love like Jesus will be born in you. It'll be so fantastic. Finally, ask and thank the Father for this vision and his mindsets. So you're going to celebrate right now.
As though the outcome has already occurred. That's how Jesus wants us to pray. Pray is that it is already happens. And that means we're going to be celebratory. We're going to be thankful. All this will create alignment of thought and actions to bring forth this better future. You are creating the last two months of this year. It is irrespective of how other people show up. You can't avoid the circumstances in the next two months. They're going to be what they are.
you can transform right now how you think about them and transform your future. So that when we meet on New Year's Eve at that party, you could come tell me, my gosh, Rob, these last two months were so phenomenal. I showed up for my family in ways that I have never even dreamt of before because of this vision that was cast in my heart and because of the mindsets Jesus gave me.
I was able to put them into action. I pray that that's what your words will be on New Year's Eve. I pray that Holy Spirit would breathe on this vision. He would breathe on this mindset that you'd be continually reminded to read, reframe the way you're thinking so that you can live the behaviors of love and have Jesus, have Jesus show up in your family because they see you. Just like Jesus said, don't you recognize me, Philip?
Don't you understand that the father's in me and I am in the father? I pray that that would be for you this last season. Okay, guys, love you so much. We'll see you next week when we're gonna talk with Nancy about Thanksgiving and how to prepare for family. We're just gonna have a great conversation about what that looks like, but we're gonna be working on this for the next three podcasts. So get that journaling in and let's transform your future. Love you.
