The Viktor Wilt Show

Wednesday begins with Victor Wilt already fighting for his life after a night of nightmares, repeatedly waking up, sleeping weird, waking up with his neck completely kinked, and then discovering that coffee—the magical brown liquid that is supposed to make everything better—has instead decided to launch another assault on his digestive system through the medium of acid reflux. Somehow, he still has to survive the longest Wednesday in human history, largely because a three-day weekend is approaching and apparently the closer you get to a holiday, the slower time moves. From there, the show immediately descends into the eternal question: Would you permanently quit your job if somebody handed you $2 million and told you that you were never allowed to work again? Victor considers the possibilities of investing it, living off the growth, escaping the alarm clock, and becoming the kind of person whose biggest workplace responsibility is remembering where they left their sunglasses. The conversation becomes even more ridiculous when somebody suggests politicians should be forced to retire at 60, which honestly sounds like the beginning of either a constitutional amendment or the greatest reality show ever produced.

Then Stuart drops an absolute biological war crime into the studio: a Facebook Marketplace listing for a used “Fortnite Battle Bucket.” Imagine a folding chair mounted over a bucket with a hose positioned in such a way that a dedicated gamer can apparently answer nature's call without ever abandoning the battlefield. The seller claims it was used almost every day for years and is asking $500 for this throne of gamer despair. Victor attempts to determine whether the thing is real, whether it is some kind of joke, and whether humanity has finally reached the point where people would rather construct a sewage system beneath their gaming chair than pause Fortnite for approximately 45 seconds. The answer appears to be yes. The discussion somehow mutates into Skibidi Toilet territory before everyone collectively decides that perhaps the human race needs to step outside and look at a tree.

Victor then announces that he is about to get political, but promises to attack both sides equally, and proceeds to question the usefulness of politicians spending time voting on a resolution condemning socialism. His argument, essentially, is that condemning something doesn't actually fix anything. Water filtration? Useful. Infrastructure? Useful. Solving an actual problem? Fantastic. A bunch of politicians pressing buttons one after another to announce whether they personally approve of socialism? Apparently the legislative equivalent of making a Facebook poll asking whether people like Sleep Token. And then, because the universe has decided politics isn't disgusting enough, the show moves directly into animals attacking humans.

The featured nightmare creature is the river otter, an animal most people instinctively categorize alongside adorable zoo animals and wholesome little aquatic mascots. Victor would like to officially revoke that classification. He discusses the terrifying story of a Nevada woman swimming in Lake Tahoe who was attacked by an otter that grabbed her leg, pulled her underwater, and repeatedly bit her. The woman reportedly suffered injuries requiring 38 stitches and had to undergo rabies treatment, a tetanus shot, and antibiotics. Even after she escaped toward shore, the otter reportedly followed her and circled nearby while breathing heavily. Suddenly every cute otter video on the internet feels like recruitment propaganda for an aquatic gang. Victor's warning is simple: maybe don't casually jump into natural bodies of water assuming the wildlife has signed a peace treaty with humanity.

The freak-news department continues with a Walmart evacuation in the Philadelphia area after a hazmat situation reportedly sent 19 people to the hospital with coughing and chest irritation. Naturally, this somehow becomes an opportunity to blame Jade's hypothetical farts for the incident. Then comes Crooked Jess, a Florida woman allegedly entrusted with $60 by an undercover officer to purchase crack cocaine who apparently decided that the best possible use of the money was simply disappearing with it. Months later, police caught up with her, and the legend of Crooked Jess was born. The episode then veers into Las Vegas Sphere territory, where people who already spent a fortune watching The Wizard of Oz are informed that the experience is being upgraded with enhanced flying monkeys, pyrotechnics, Glinda Glitter, and scented apples. Victor experiences a familiar form of technological buyer's remorse, remembering how he bought an Axe-Fx II XL+ only for the Axe-Fx III to show up approximately a month later and destroy the value of his purchase.

The internet then produces another modern nightmare: a creepy Cat in the Hat social-media trend involving disturbing imagery, nighttime appearances, AI-generated content, and, in some cases, references to schools and threatening language. Victor attempts to understand exactly what makes the trend so terrifying while simultaneously wondering if everyone has collectively forgotten what Halloween costumes look like. This leads to memories of the infamous creepy-clown phenomenon and the possibility that the whole thing is just some elaborate viral marketing campaign. Nobody really knows, but apparently if your child suddenly starts talking about the Cat in the Hat, you should at least investigate before he starts standing outside your house at 3 a.m. wearing a giant striped hat.

Then the show enters its Loser's Night Out Era, resurrecting a bizarre promotion from 1998 involving single guys, a barely functional jalopy, dollar movies, McDonald's, and Valentine's Day. Because the Eastern Idaho State Fair has left the station with an odd number of tickets, Victor and the crew decide that somebody needs to experience the ultimate humiliation: attending the fair alone. One lucky “loser” receives a ticket to the bull riding championships and another ticket to Flow Rider, meaning this individual can spend two nights at the fair wandering around alone, potentially finding a new friend or simply becoming one with the fairground asphalt. Doug wins, and the studio celebrates him while simultaneously reminding him that, technically, he is a loser.

Victor's day then becomes even more surreal when he experiences what he believes is an ocular migraine, describing shimmering disturbances in his vision. A caller named Jeff phones in with a terrifying story about his wife experiencing a similar episode while driving on an I-15 off-ramp, suddenly announcing that she couldn't see and forcing him to take control from the passenger seat. Victor briefly considers whether his brain is exploding, then decides he will probably survive and immediately contemplates drinking more coffee. Because apparently the solution to a neurological visual disturbance is to throw additional coffee into the bloodstream and see what happens.

The poop chronicles arrive next. In Tulsa, police reportedly arrested a man accused of repeatedly defecating outside businesses and exposing himself. Meanwhile, Victor discusses reports of people behaving similarly inside driverless Waymo vehicles, leaving the employees who clean the autonomous cars to deal with the consequences. The future has arrived, and apparently the future smells terrible. Humanity invented self-driving taxis and immediately decided to turn them into mobile bathrooms.

The show then takes a brief journey into the future, asking what is highly likely to happen within the next decade that almost nobody is preparing for. AI-generated fake audio and video immediately emerges as the most terrifying possibility, with Victor pointing out that people already share obviously fabricated content without checking whether it is remotely true. The discussion touches on deepfakes, misinformation, fake celebrity quotes, economic depression, aging parents, antibiotic resistance, and the possibility—finally, something positive—that a cure for cancer could emerge within the next ten years. The thread becomes increasingly depressing until Victor basically decides humanity has suffered enough and shuts it down.

The noon hour returns with even more gastrointestinal anxiety. Victor's significant other is sick and has been vomiting, which makes him paranoid that he may be developing the same stomach bug. This is particularly disastrous timing because the Eastern Idaho State Fair food judging is coming up, an event that requires participants to consume an industrial quantity of ice cream, cake, sweets, meat, and whatever other edible monstrosities the fair can place in front of them. The idea of attending a fair-food judging event while experiencing gastrointestinal distress is presented as one of the greatest tactical errors a human being can make. Victor also reminds listeners about fair tickets, bull riding, rodeo events, monster trucks, and other giveaways.

Political anxiety returns when Victor discusses voter registration and encourages listeners to check their status ahead of the upcoming November election, referencing reports from Texas about polling-place reductions and voter-roll changes. After briefly considering the apparent misery of Texas, Victor pivots to Papa Roach and then into one of the most important cultural debates of the episode: What the hell is happening at hardcore shows?

Victor explains hardcore dancing, mosh pits, windmills, crowd killing, and the increasingly endangered art of simply standing near the stage without accidentally receiving a karate chop to the skull. He reminisces about old-school concert etiquette, getting to the rail early, squeezing through crowds, and the current generation's apparent refusal to tolerate anyone moving more than three inches through the audience. The key distinction is made between hardcore dancing and crowd killing: dancing may look like somebody attempting to fight an invisible army, but deliberately punching random people is still being a dirtbag. Thus, the sacred doctrine of Mosh Pit Etiquette is established.

Finally, after an entire episode involving gamer toilets, rabid otters, crooked drug dealers, creepy Cat in the Hat imagery, driverless taxi poop, political resolutions, ocular migraines, naked Rexburg runners, fair tickets, and hardcore karate dancing, Victor decides to play a band called Senobia completely blind because apparently Peach has put them into the system and the song is six minutes long. He has no idea what they sound like and openly prepares to blame Peaches if it's terrible. And then, because there is apparently no better way to conclude the day, the show ends with a caller who was previously declared a loser becoming a winner, rubber bands being fired at Victor inside the studio, prizes being distributed, and a final reminder that the naked Rexburg runner contest is absolutely not real and listeners should under no circumstances show up naked at the radio station. A perfectly normal Wednesday in East Idaho.

What is The Viktor Wilt Show?

The Viktor Wilt Show daily recap! If you miss the show weekdays from 6A-10A MST, you've come to the right place.

Speaker 1: Ugh, Must have slept weird. Well, I mean, I did sleep weird. I know that because it was like nightmares all night long, waking up over and over. I just can't win when it comes to that whole sleep thing. But uh, got my neck's all kinked up. Like, ugh. Good thing I got some ibuprofen, I guess. But just gotta survive the Wednesday. Another one of the longest weeks of all time, probably because the three-day weekend is ahead. But we'll make it through. We'll make it through.

Just kind of getting rolling. You know, don't forget about all the giveaways going on. Still hooking up Seven Dust and Theory of a Dead Man tickets, monster truck tickets, grandstand event tickets at the fair. Busy busy around here. A lot I need to get done to uh prepare for the weekend. So uh been been a bit of a morning so far. Hope everybody's doing okay. Ugh.

And the stupid coffee gave me uh acid reflux again. Great. Well, let's just get them meds rolling, and while I do that, we'll get the music rolling. Sound good? Alright, we're gonna have a fun day, or we'll we'll try.

All right. Well, someone asked online, would you quit your job forever right now and never be allowed to work again if someone gave you a guaranteed two million dollar lump sum? Two million. I mean, you can invest it, right? And it I don't know how much money you gotta have sitting in some kind of account that like that's enough that it'll just generate enough to get by on interest. You would think two million would would cut it if you did it right, right? It's hard to say with the the price of everything now.

I don't know. I mean, the thought of uh not you know not having to be at work real early, you know, there's something appealing about that. But you know, I say that every day. What does the internet say? Maybe they've got some better insight than me going, I don't know. I don't know.

Let's see. Oh, this person, yeah, because if I added it to my current savings, I've had way more than I'd need to support me for the rest of my life. Let's give them a big fat, oh, good for you if your savings are sitting that good.

Ugh. This person says I'm a two-income home, so sure, with our debt wiped out, we'd be able to make whatever choice we really want. So, yeah, yeah, I'm in a two-income home. My spouse can just continue to work. I'll sit back, just relax. Jeez. Uh, okay, here's someone who's like, I'm 61. Yeah, two million, sure.

Done. I I wish that anybody who is, you know, like 60, let's say. They just everybody wouldn't have to work after that.

And if they were politicians that we require that. 60, that's the limit. Alright, uh, they said that would equate to about 80,000 a year with growth every year. I would do it.

I could make it work, but only because I am old. Yeah, 80 grand a year in the current economy. You know, I I guess if you didn't have any bills, you'd be all good, right? But if you're having to pay rent or a mortgage, uh I don't know. Two million doesn't stretch as much as it used to.

No. Uh my boss said if employees were paid a million dollars up front, he thought they would make better decisions by willing to take more risk of not being afraid of being fired and losing income. That's a that's a good point. Hey Jade.

I'm like, you're 19 years late on this, dude. Give me that, give me that million to make me feel confident. Alright. I'm confident that the day is going to go by fast. Alright, that's that's the only confidence I got right now. Or I'm trying to stay optimistic, I should say.

Alright, let's roll. Well, I want to go ahead and thank Stuart for sending me this disgusting Facebook post to start the uh 7 o'clock hour here. This is it it looks like Facebook market, and it's a post for a used fortnight battle bucket. Now what this item is is a regular old looking folding chair. Um with a hole in it, and you put it on top of a bucket, and it also has a hose that comes out the side of the bucket and comes up over the front of the chair. So it's clearly a battle bucket for a man. What this is is a chair that allows you to go to the bathroom without leaving your gaming session. And the seller says they used it almost every day for years, but it has been thoroughly cleaned and uh it's for sale for $500. Um I'm pretty sure you could make one yourself for much cheaper, but also if you make one of these, you are disgusting. Alright.

I know sometimes it's hard to leave your character in the middle of a battle, and you know somebody's gonna kill you, but it's just a video game. Like whoever designed this, it's either a goof or if it's for real. This is somebody who let's see, they've used the chair for every day for years. They ain't got a lady.

Guarantee you that so nasty. Thanks, Stuart. Thanks. Uh battle bucket. It it's gotta be just a goof, right?

Hold on. Let's goof or uh Google battle bucket. Um let's see, the skibbity toilet battle bucket. Oh what is that?

Looks like a jar of like I don't know, plastic connectors. I don't quite get it. Are they just toys? Oh, yeah, they must just be little little figurines.

Alright. But there's a battle bucket that's an actual bucket. Don't call it a battle bucket. It's a this is like those it's a camping toilet. And they're they're kind of gross.

This one has a padded seat. Ugh. Alright, you guys are disgusting.

Disgusting. Alright, everybody, warning. I'm gonna get political.

But don't worry, I'm gonna attack both sides on this one. My social media feed, you know, it's probably because I like to leave snarky comments on political posts or give them the uh thumbs up or thumbs down. Um apparently, was this yesterday? Because I've seen about five posts from various congressmen either uh uh bragging it up or screaming at the other side about a vote they held, you know, they were looking to pass a resolution to condemn socialism. Okay, so no matter what side you're on on this, if you you know like democratic socialism or you think it's communism, no matter what side you're on, what was the point of this vote?

Like this, these people get paid to work like a few days a year, and this is what they're in voting on. I like it or I don't like it. I condemn it.

I don't condemn it. What a bunch of do nothing time wasters. What are they doing?

We got real problems in this world, and they're taking the time to individually, you know, because they go one by one. Alright, what's your vote? Do you like it or not? I don't like it. Okay.

Noted. Next person, what about you? I think it's alright.

Alright. And they go through, you know, hundreds of votes, and then they go, alright. Well, nothing happened. Oh, they've officially passed the resolution to condemn it.

Okay, well. I can condemn all kinds of things all day. It doesn't accomplish anything. I condemn, You know, do nothing time-wasting politicians voting on garbage like this. It doesn't accomplish anything. Like if you're gonna vote, okay, we're gonna, I don't know, install a new water filtration system in blank place.

I don't know. That that's gonna do something. You know, this doesn't accomplish anything at all. Be like it's just as useful as uh, hey, what do you think of sleep token? And I make a poll in the K Bear group on Facebook. Oh, there we go.

Some people like them, some people don't. Alright. Let me pat myself on the back. I proudly voted on on my side. That's what all these guys are saying.

I'm so proud that I voted on my side to give my opinion on uh on something. And these guys make a lot of money. A lot of money to do crap like this. Alright, so there we go. I'm done. Done with my political ranting again.

It was both sides. Wasting time. Vote on something that's gonna accomplish something. Alright. Let's get into one of my favorite topics.

Animals attacking people. I need to make this a daily feature. We're getting these all the time. Alright. Don't swim in rivers. Okay, um, we've had some terrible things happen recently. Terrible accidents in the river in Idaho Falls. It's a very dangerous river. You do not want to go swimming in it. Aside from the undertow and uh the risk of drowning and things like that. They're wild animals in that river.

Alright? And they might mess you up. I have seen a river otter swimming in the Snake River. Now, otters, when you go to the zoo, you're like, oh, look at them, look how cute they are. Look at them, they're swimming around. Oh, the otters are so cute. Otters are vicious beasts.

And if you encounter them in the wild, they could severely mess you up. This uh woman was swimming in Lake Tahoe, woman from Nevada. And uh, an otter rolls up on her and just grabs her leg and pulls her underwater and just starts biting the crap out of her. Um, oh, uh video she recorded moments after the attack went viral over the weekend. Um, how do I see the video? Oh, I gotta log in. I I should be logged in.

Uh alright. I guess it must be a woman covered in blood. I guess I don't need to watch that.

Not at this hour. So she says, yeah, something grabbed my leg and pulled me under. It was so strong, it felt like a human. Yesterday I was talking about how strong a dog can be. Ah, river otter. Pretty big. Alright. And again, vicious. I have seen videos where river otters are attacking people. Um, she had to get, let's see, 38 stitches.

And uh also do the good fun round of rabies shots. Yeah. So she was able to get away from it. She just kept trying to push it away, and she swam to a rock near the shore.

And the otter still followed her up onto the land. Ah, Elf! Help me! and it's you're just getting chased by an otter. Eventually, I guess it uh you know went back in the water. But it was just kind of circling around, and she said, Yeah, it was I can hear it breathing really heavy and circling.

It was very menacing. She had to get uh stitches for cuts on her legs, feet, hands, and arms, seven rabies shots, a tetanus shot, and is taking antibiotics. Oh, there's a picture of her from the video.

Her face is all scratched. Oh, I almost uh swore. Jeez. How many times I gotta tell people don't go swimming in natural water. She wasn't in river, choosing a lake. People go to Lake Tahoe.

Oh, it's beautiful. I'm gonna go for a swim in the lake. Bad move. Bad move. These animals ain't messing around no more. They're fed up with people.

Can you blame them? Alright. See what other kind of wacky news I could find for freak news here in a few. And uh shall return.

Where was this story from? I mean, I don't recall Jade taking a trip to Pennsylvania, but he must have recently. 19 people hospitalized after hazmat situation at Woodbury, Walmart. Uh, this is in the Philadelphia area.

Yeah, uh, I guess people were just shopping. And all of a sudden, start coughing. Chest irritation. Store had to be evacuated, 19 people taken to the hospital. But no serious injuries were reported.

As far as I know, jade farts cannot kill you, but they they can definitely cause you know mental and physical irritation. Alright. Glad everyone was okay. But uh yeah, no question about that. Jade farts. Mm-hmm. They even had to throw away a bunch of produce.

That's right. Yeah, we got enough problems with lettuce gone badness and that. Keep Jade out of the grocery store. Alright, what else we got here?

I like the headline. Never trust a dealer named Crooked Jess. Crooked Jess. We have a cat at home named Jess. Sometimes we we call her Jeff to make Becca's daughter mad. We made up this story that oh, we took her to the vet to get her shots, and it turned out she's a boy. So now we call her Jeff. Becca's daughter hates that.

I don't know, dumb things make me laugh. Uh anyway, who's crooked Jess? Let's see.

I mean, I'm sure that uh Koopa and maybe Chris or other cats, they might call Jess crooked Jessie just swaps them. Alright. Let's see. Crooked Jess. Alright, uh, a buy and bust operation itself went bust after Florida cops entrusted Jess Jessica Crooked Jess Stroud with 60 bucks to score some crack cocaine. So they gave Crooked Jess the 60 bucks, and then you know they just kind of waited.

And as time went on, after it got to be about an hour, they're like Crooked Jess ain't coming back. Yeah, she just ran off with the 60 bucks. And several months later, they managed to uh catch up with her and charge her for ripping off the undercover officer. Uh, she was also found with uh drugs and paraphernalia at the time. I mean, she is crooked Jess.

And she, if you look at the picture of her, she looks like uh like a crooked Jess. For sure. Uh, did you recently spend hundreds of dollars to go to the sphere and watch The Wizard of Oz? If so, well, you're missing out because now they're adding enhanced animatronic flying monkeys, new pyrotechnics, Glinda Glitter, and scented apples. I don't know if they're gonna charge more or not, but it always sucks when you pay a bunch of money for something, and then something better comes out like you know, just a few months later. You know, hey, I should have just waited.

Happened to me with my axe effects. You know, people speculated for years. Is there ever gonna be an AxeFX 3?

Nah. So I finally get around to buying an AxeFX 2XL Plus. And like a month later, the Axe FX 3 came out and the price went way down on the one I bought. I was mad.

But I have not been to a show at the sphere, so uh no buyers regret on that one as of yet. Alright. Cat in the hat. Social media trend prompting school warnings. A disturbing social media trend featuring a sinister version of the beloved children's book character, the cat in the hat is prompting warnings from school and law enforcement agencies across the country, with officials urging students and parents not to share the posts and to report concerning content instead. Uh, the so-called cat in the hat trend includes videos and images depicting the Dr.

Seuss character appearing to lurk outside homes, schools, and other locations often at night. Some of the content appears to be generated using AI. Um, yeah, I guess some of these posts, they're concerned because they've named specific schools and included threatening language. Um, they arrested a high school student after he made a post connected to the trend.

What was his I I gotta see what these posts are. Okay, they say no credible threat found in social media instant incident arrest made. Are they really that afraid to show what the post look? How are we supposed to know what posts to report if we can't see them? I guess uh uh if I search around on Instagram or maybe X, I can find some of these, but I want to know what's so disturbing about them.

Hmm. Well, I guess parents just beware if your kids talking about cat in the hat. Reminds me of when oh, the clowns are on the loose. There's clowns out there creeping around, clowns in the park, and it had to be viral marketing for the movie it. Is there an upcoming remake of Cat in the Hat?

Is that what's going on? Let's uh well, I'm sure now if I search for cat in the hat, I'm gonna get a bunch of news about the the the memes. The memes. Okay, there's one. Okay, it looks like a guy in a creepy cat in the hat costume. Um huh. I I don't know. I these do not have any threatening language. It's just people dressed up as cat in the hat. So I don't know. But I guess you need to be worried about it. What's up, Jade?

Speaker 2: Losers.

Speaker 1: Calling all losers. Calling all losers.

Speaker 2: Years ago, when I first started, like in 1998, we did a promotion called Loser's Night Out for Valentine's Day. It was just a bunch of single dudes. We got this broken down Jalopi from a uh a car lot that barely ran. We're talking about like the dollar movies and McDonald's.

Speaker 1: You know? We might have to bring that one back. Loser's night out. Well, and speaking of losers, you know, we were looking through our piles of tickets for the Eastern Idaho State Fair. Now, you can sign up to win these in any of our apps, the K-Bear app, the Alt app, the Cannonball app. And I've I've been just calling people up, drawing names and giving some away, but we're gonna

Speaker 2: do since there's an extra one of these two.

Speaker 1: Is there an extra one of those too?

Speaker 2: So they get one for one night and one for the other night.

Speaker 1: Okay, so we have losers right now.

Speaker 2: Two nights in a row. If you are a loser and you want to go see some grandstand events by yourself at the Eastern Idaho State Fair, we've got some tickets for you here, and I'm gonna give them away. We've got one again, one ticket to the bull riding championships that are happening uh this Saturday. You might find a friend. You might find a friend at the bull riding championships. Uh, this is uh it's a seated ticket. Well, speaking of losers, which loser we got here?

Speaker 1: Oh, Josh Tyler. We're doing uh a loser's night out since we got an odd amount of tickets, so we're giving away one ticket.

Speaker 1: Yeah, we got one ticket to the bull riding championships. Nice.

Speaker 3: Is it seated next to other people that are uh winning tickets?

Speaker 1: Uh no, that's why I didn't give it away in a three-pack. Oh, it's just one loser gets to go sit at the bull riding championships by themselves, but they might make a friend with whoever's you know seated next to you. Sure. And then we got rope them into your friend circle.

Rope them. Now, flow rider, we could do a three-pack. Because this is just GA, but I think it'll be more fun to give him. I think if you're gonna be, you know loser nighting out. Yeah, if you gotta be the loser that goes out by yourself for bull riding, you should be at least able to go to Flowrider as well.

Speaker 3: So you're a loser at two shows.

Speaker 1: Oh no! But flow ride is GA, so at least you can wander around and try to find a friend. Yeah, you can bump into people. Yeah, you can rub yourself up against people.

Speaker 3: No, I didn't say that. It's floor rider, isn't it? Did you call him floor rider? I probably did that time. Floor rider. Floor rider?

Speaker 2: That's what's gonna happen after you go to the ride on the floor. And you visit the beer garden a few times. Floor Rider. Actually, that's what we should start calling Victor since he's always fallen down all the time.

Speaker 1: I haven't fallen down as much recently. I just I'm clumsy.

Speaker 3: You said you sent a picture of your head wound. What do you mean you haven't fallen down recently?

Speaker 1: I expect that was a couple weeks ago. All right, and that one I explained. Uh you know, don't try to pop your uh ears while you're standing. That's right. You will Ride the floor. ride the floor.

I was flow riding at Arctic Circle in the middle of nowhere, Utah. Gross. So um, yeah, caller number 13, 208-535-101 number. Do you want I like that number? Yeah, do you want one ticket to the bull riding championships and one ticket to Flowrider?

We gotta get rid of them. I guess I guess I could be a loser and go by myself. You might have more fun that way. I think Becca has to work this weekend.

Speaker 2: So you might actually see the whole show. Yeah, I could do Now, Jade.

Speaker 1: Yeah, go to Oh, two nights at the fair, flow ride a Friday, and then the bull riding on Saturday. So two nights back to back.

Speaker 2: This is a good thing. And these do get you into the fair too.

Speaker 1: So yeah, you get into the fair two nights. You got free tickets to grandstand events. You might find a friend. Caller number 13 right now at 208-535-1015. And you know, we don't have to play your call over there and call you a loser. We'll keep us in.

Speaker 2: But we could if you want us to.

Speaker 1: It's it's up to you. If you're like I call myself a loser all day on there. Same.

Speaker 2: Why do you think we're radio DJs?

Speaker 1: Well, the loser can't even stand, apparently. So 208-535-1015, caller number 13. Good luck. How's it going? Pretty good. Collar number 13. Loser! Who's this? Doug. Doug? Doug. All right. Doug, we've got one ticket to the bull riding championships for you and one ticket to Flow Rider. You're gonna have a wonderful weekend. You don't have to bring anyone with you. You can tell the family or friends, stay at home.

I'm going out for a night by myself. Get and uh hang on the line so I can get your info, man. Perfect.

Appreciate it. Hey, who's your favorite radio station, man? K bear 101. What is happening, my friends?

Welcome to the Victor Wilch Show. Oh, I'm having uh what they call an ocular migraine, I believe. It's like you get a little bit of a headache, but then there's this.

I don't even know how you describe it. It's it's like something in your vision. It's not like something floating around in your eye, but something floating around in your vision.

Kind of like uh shimmers. It's annoying. All right, it's annoying, it sucks. I don't know where that came from, but it's happened before. It'll clear up.

It's not a tumor. At least I hope not. Wouldn't think so, right?

I guess you never know. All right, uh, what was I gonna talk about here? Oh, poop. There's a lot of poop in the news. Um, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Uh, police have uh arrested a man who apparently repeatedly poos outside of businesses on 81st Street and Harvard Avenue.

Uh and you know, when doing so, he um exposes himself to the public as well. Pretty disgusting. I was also reading that Waymo, you know, we don't have those around here. They're like fully automated AI-powered electric taxis, you know, driverless vehicles. Apparently, people are getting very disgusting in the back of the uh Waymo's, and uh the employees who have to clean these things would like to ask the public to stop uh well being like the serial pooper in Tulsa. I mean, what what is wrong with people? What is wrong with people? Just getting a ride and like hey, well, there's no driver in here, check this out. Pretty gross, pretty gross. So, like, don't do that, okay.

Find yourself a restroom like a normal human being. It'd be greatly appreciated. Oh, we got somebody calling. All right, they better behave themselves. K-Bear, you're live on the show, so please keep that in mind. Who's this?

Speaker 4: Yo, Victor, this is Jeff. I heard you talking about the ocular migraines, man, and those things are no joke.

Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, just kind of popped out of nowhere, and uh it just goes to figure. I got a you know, ton of things to do today, and uh, and I'm just staring at the screen as the shimmering moves around. It's fantastic.

Speaker 4: Yeah, it sounds sounds great. Uh, let me tell you a little quick story. So my wife got those ocular migraines real bad, and they were stress-caused. So they got bad enough to where one day we were going uh going back home, and we were taking the off ramp off I-15, and she all of a sudden said, Hey, I can't see.

Oh, geez. I was in the passenger seat. So I had to take the wheel in the passenger seat and tell her, hey, start to break.

Start to break more. Oh man. And it's yeah, yeah, and it's a curvy one yet. So be careful with those i migraines, man. I I didn't think it would get so bad with her, but all right.

Speaker 1: Well, maybe next time I'm you know in for a checkup. I think I got my annual one coming up soon. Maybe I'll bring it up to the dock. I mean, it happens like once every six months or something. It's it's pretty rare.

Speaker 4: But yeah, good deal. Good deal. That doesn't sound too bad then.

Speaker 1: Yeah, and it's it's not like crippling pain or anything right now. It's you know, just a little bit of pressure and uh the the shimmer crap going on in front of my face.

Speaker 4: So well, good luck, man, and uh I'll wish you uh wish you luck from the bottom of my heart, there Victor.

Speaker 1: Hey, thank you, man. Greatly appreciate it. Keep having Have a good one. You too. Peace. All right, people, don't worry. I'm gonna survive. I'm gonna get through this day somehow. I just gotta I want to get like so much done. Maybe I'll go drink some more coffee. Yeah, get all jacked up.

I got plenty of time to make coffee during this song. All right, let's dig into one final topic before I take a little break, and then I'll be back at noon for the noon hour of madness and mayhem. All right, somebody posted online what's something that's highly likely to happen in the next 10 years that almost nobody's preparing for. I guess to the future we go. Let's see what the internet thinks anyway.

All right. AI making fake audio and video so normal that I saw the video stops being strong proof of anything. We're already pretty much at that point. Um how many people do you see get duped by AI videos all the time? Um I don't know what we're gonna do in the future to try to determine what's real and what isn't.

We're we're kind of doomed on that one. I mean, even before AI, all it took to convince people that something was real is make a meme and post it on Facebook. Half the people looking at it don't question it whatsoever. They don't go Google and go, isn't that true? Like, I see these posts all the time with these big long statements that like celebrities supposedly make or made, and you go Google it, and it's like where did this come from?

Oh yeah, chat GPT, somebody just made it up, but boy, it got thousands of shares. Alright. What else is highly likely to happen in the next 10 years that almost nobody is preparing for? I mean, back to that AI thing.

It people are trying to prepare for it. Let's see. Oh, this guy wrote a paragraph, so um, I'm not gonna read that one. Okay, somebody really believes uh, and I certainly hope so. This would be fantastic, that um a cure for cancer pops up in the next 10 years. Wouldn't that be amazing? Be fantastic. I like that this thread's well, uh, there was one positive thing in it, I guess.

Let's see. Now it goes right downhill. Another depression.

People can barely afford their bills as is. Woo-hoo! Cheery cheery. Um, let's see, another guy writing an essay here. Uh, becoming the primary caregiver for an aging parent. Um, Well, I don't have to worry about that one. Um, and hopefully, my children don't either.

Well, and I hope I'm doing okay in 10 years. Just gotta, you know, make some better health decisions, and I'm sure that'll that'll help. By the way, make sure you're getting your regular checks up checkups with your doctors and things like that. Uh, if you have issues that uh are affecting you, get in and get them treated. You never know if something could get worse or if it's a sign of something worse. No sense, uh dealing with with problems that can be fixed, you know.

Go to the doc, get things checked out. Antibiotic resistance, that's scary. Yeah, if you you know don't take your antibiotics right, then uh your body can learn to fight them off, and then you're not gonna be able to use them. Uh uh. As someone who's forgetful, yeah.

Always make sure you have alarms set in your phone when you were taking any type of antibiotic. Okay. Boy, this thread's getting dark. Um, I was I was hoping, you know, we'd have some positive. Maybe only a little bit. I don't need to get into all the darkness for you.

That's all stuff that goes through all of our heads. Okay. Yeah, let's just close it out. Let's just close it out because it's just starting to make me mad. Let's close this show out. Alright.

But I will return in a while, and I would keep listening closely. You know, might have some opportunities to win Seven Dust and Theory of a Dead Man tickets coming up because I am working in the studio. Also, entering our apps for monster truck tickets and fair tickets, because I'll probably start giving some of those away if you see the K-Bear hotline call on your phone.

I would pick it up. Alright, gonna leave you with some afraid. Peace. How are my friends today? My people on a Wednesday. What up? It's Victor Wilt, and this is the noon hour of madness and mayhem and bad guts.

Yeah. I don't know what's going on. Maybe it's nerves. Um uh my lady isn't feeling very well. Uh started feeling unwell last evening and has just been uh vomiting like crazy. It's really sad.

Hoping she's doing better now that she's getting some rest. But uh, you never know what what can cause you know, problems with the old guts. And you know, this is a good topic for lunchtime. Projectile vomiting. So, like, all of a sudden, my guts start hurting.

I'm like, what if this is a bug? What if I am you know picking up some kind of a stomach bug and I start projectile vomiting? It's not fun. And one of the main reasons I'm concerned is tomorrow is the Eastern Idaho State Fair food judging.

Happens once a year. We get to go out and cast our judgment on all of the different best fair foods, the new fair foods. You know, you eat like a pig. It is not an event you attend if your stomach is bothering you. Like you're gonna eat so much ice cream and cake and sweets and meats, and who knows what else. Generally, you feel if you don't uh you know pace yourself right, you're gonna feel pretty nasty afterward. And I wanna go. I want to go because it's you know, kind of an honor to be invited to cast my judgment on all of the best fair foods. But I'm feeling like this.

Uh oh. We'll have to see how it goes. Uh, if we're there, I'm sure we'll be doing some posting online, maybe some live breaks from uh from the event.

Let me know how it goes. Um the fair is opening on Friday, by the way. Yeah.

Boy, did that just creep up on us fast. And I got all of these fair tickets. Well, my supplies are dwindling a little bit, but I've got a lot of fair tickets for grandstand events. I got tickets to the bull riding championships on Saturday.

Uh, what else do I got here? Tickets to the Gym State Classic Pro Rodeo, which I believe is Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. So you know, if you haven't signed up in the apps yet, you should. You can sign up to win fair tickets there. We'll talk more about monster truck tickets, I'm sure, at some point, but you can sign up for those as well. And maybe I'll just give some away right now.

I told you what I had. So I'll go caller five and caller 10. I'll hook you up with a pair of tickets. Cause I'm feeling nice, and you're listening to me while I do the noon hour of madness in Mayhem Live and talk about my messed up guts. So, caller number five, caller number 10. I'll give you your pick of what I got, and then we'll be back in a bit and we'll talk about some dumb news I found and things like that. You know, typical noon hour stuff. So good luck to you.

208-535-1015. So I just got a little paranoid for a second. You know, it's not the guts that I was talking about earlier. No, it's just the general state of the world. I was reading this article about Texas. You know, we've got uh the general election coming up in November, and I guess in one county in Texas, they had like 300 polling places. You know, you're familiar with the place you go vote, I'm I'm sure. And I guess they decided to just chop a hundred of them off, just no, gone.

And you never know what kind of weaselly things are going on. So I just wanted to encourage you to go to vote Idaho.gov and just make sure you're still like eligible to vote. I think they took like one one and a half million people off the uh voter rolls in Texas, because maybe they hadn't voted in some time or something like that. Just I believe in Idaho you can still register at the polls, but easier to just do it in advance. You go to vote idaho.gov, you can register to vote there, you can find out about the upcoming election.

Uh, you can check out candidate lists and things like that, because you want to be an educated voter. And I know it's two months out, but that's when it starts getting real crazy. There's a uh around the country. I haven't seen anything that I would call weasily happening in Idaho yet, but you never know what the government's up to behind the scenes. That's why I went to vote Idaho and just checked my voter registration right before I jumped on. It says I am eligible to vote in the upcoming uh November election, so I'm good to go there, but just might want to double check, okay?

So that's what I got for now. Glad I don't live in Texas. I I tell you, seems like every every news I get out of Texas is something just terrible.

Uh sorry, anybody streaming from Texas. Get out of there, leave! You know, go somewhere else. What's the appeal?

I uh I don't know. How about we listen to some Papa Roach? They played a show here, we get shows, plenty of shows close by. Yeah, it's a good okay. I sorry, I don't want to make the locals mad by trying to uh uh encourage people to move here. You want some Idaho's full?

Okay, I'll throw that out too. Starting to feel old. I mean, hardcore dancing is still a thing, right? Somebody posted a video online of a bunch of people at a concert, hardcore dancing, and they're all, what is happening in this video? Well, duh, they're rocking out in their own way. Now, you're gonna never catch me hardcore dancing, okay? I'll leave the the karate and all that stuff to the hardcore crowd. You know, I I stand back. I don't like getting punched in the head, you know, it doesn't feel that good. And there's inevitably somebody in there doing the windmill, and then they just crack you in the skull.

So, yeah, I was never a big fan of it. But the fact that someone would go, what's happening in this video? You could just kind of make an assumption. By watching it, you know, there's music, and the people are moving to it. It's some type of moshing or dancing.

What kind of responses did people give? I mean, I would hope the top answer is hardcore dancing. Oh, let's see. This person said they seem to be avoiding each other, but the girl in the pink took one to the face. Okay, now this person says I think it's called crowd killing.

That that's not true. This is hardcore dancing. Crowd killing's when you're a piece of crap and you just uh, you know, deliberately go into say a mosh pit or something and inflict uh violence on people, okay.

And I don't think that's let me rewatch it. Let me see if I see any what I would consider crowd killing. Okay, there was one guy just kind of punching people at random.

So yeah, he's a dirt bag. Don't do that. Shame on you if you just walk in and punch people in a crowd. You're supposed to be you know, cautious of those around you and caring for those in the pit.

It's called Mosh Pit Etiquette, even if there is hardcore dancing going on. What are some of the other answers people are giving here? I mean, clearly this section of the internet is not familiar with the metal scene. Uh, let's see what we got. They're just arguing about crowd killing. Jeez. Uh, okay, everybody was kung fu dancing. That's fair.

Uh you know. Hardcore dancing is very ninja-esque. Okay, there's somebody saying no hardcore dancing in the living room. Uh, looks like a dance party.

Hardcore dancing. Finally, why is the most popular answer the one that's not true? Because we have a you know, a different kind of younger generation when it comes to shows.

Like, we've talked about it on here many a time. When I was growing up and you'd go to a metal show, or maybe even just a standard rock show. Like having a spot up on the rail, showing up early, getting a spot on the rail. It wasn't guaranteed that that was gonna be your spot the entire show. You know, now back then we would squeeze our way through the crowd.

And I mean, at an extreme metal show, you'd sometimes try to push that person to the side and get on the rail yourself. Try doing that nowadays. Jeez.

Not not even trying to push somebody off the rail, but just try to squeeze through a crowd at a show. You're gonna get excuse you. Well, excuse you. It's like this is a show. Stop whining. Yeah, I'm I think uh at least if I'm in town, I'm not gonna, you know, try to mosey my way through a crowd around here anymore. Because too many people know me. Someone will, oh, he was pushing.

He was squeezing through the crowd, behaving really rude. Boise in Salt Lake only, or even further away. Uh, anyway. Hardcore dancing. Uh, be aware. It can happen at shows. Don't be shocked. Don't start screaming at people. Look, that cat was punching like a windmill. It's a dance move, even if it looks silly.

Showing teeth and rip. I think I'm gonna play that band's whole new EP on the morning show on Friday as we roll into the holiday weekend. If you missed my interview with the band, uh, you can find that on YouTube as well as on the Victor Wiltshow podcast channel.

Channels everywhere podcasts can be found. Yeah, uh looking forward to seeing them in Boise or Salt Lake along with the band president. Now, there was another band on that bill, and I guess they unfortunately had to drop off. I was looking forward to checking them out.

And I see that Peach has put them into the system. It's a band called Senobia. I have no idea what they sound like.

And even though you know, I'm not gonna be able to see them at the show. I figured we could end this noon hour of madness in Mayhem by checking it out. Might be some proggy stuff or something.

Literally going in completely blind on this one. But I guess I'm guessing it might be proggy stuff because the song is six minutes long. Generally songs, you know, three minutes, three and a half. So we'll mosey on out of here and listen to I I don't know what this is gonna be like. And sometimes Peaches picks some weird stuff for his picks of the day and things like that. So uh if this is terrible, well, I guess you can blame me because I played it, but ultimately we'll blame Peaches. Have yourself a great rest of the day, and I guess I'm gonna get back to giving away prizes.

Make sure to sign up in the apps if you haven't yet, and be listening for back-to-back tracks from Theory of a Dead Man or Seven Dust. All right, this is Senobia swallowed by the world. Okay, Bear, what's up?

Speaker 4: Uh I'm hoping to win some theory tickets.

Speaker 1: Hoping to win some theory tickets. Um, did you make it through as any of the uh other caller numbers? 15 loser! That that caller number 15 was was not a winner, and that was her. Oh, it's not. Oh, you're a loser that time. But now, Jade, now she is uh caller number 20. Oh, okay.

Speaker 2: Still a loser. I was just gonna tell geez. All right.

Speaker 1: Let me get your information here real fast. These guys are shooting rubber bands at me. Yes. All right, keep an eye on your email for those tickets. They'll be coming soon. Awesome. Thank you so much.

Yep, and if you win the meet and greet, I'll call you as well. Oh, perfect. Thank you.

All right, thank you. Dude, dude, you guys, you guys are a nightmare. You lose it. You just made a big mess. Nothing. Why did why do we have rubber bands in here?

Speaker 2: So we could shoot you with them. Yeah, because you're trucking to uh our winner.

Speaker 1: Yes, our winner, Sierra scoring a pair of.

Speaker 2: He was first a loser and then became a winner.

Speaker 1: Yes, she was caller number 15. Loser! Loser! You lose, but then she became a winner. Winner! So uh winner, winner, chick dinner! Yeah, I've been here like, all right, I gotta blow out about a million prizes, and Josh walks in here. You want more prizes? I'm like, I'm already got giving away Peaches prizes.

Speaker 3: You look like you needed more.

Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't have any prizes around here like monster truck tickets and seven dust theory tickets or you know, fair tickets. Should I just start giving away random crap from around the room too?

Speaker 2: Yeah, all those rubber bands we just shot at you.

Speaker 1: Yeah, do you guys like need some rubber bands out there? Apparently we have plenty. When We need more. I ran out. No, I actually saw that pile of rubber bands, and I assumed Peaches was just farting around in here making designs with rubber bands. That's kind of what I was doing, too. It's what it looked like. Time wasting. It's like, do your job. It's work, fool. Give away some of these prizes.

Can't even get my podcast together. Too many prizes. So uh congrats, Sierra. Uh, was there any other reason you guys came in here other than to uh bother me? Those just to give me more prizes. Yeah, okay.

Speaker 2: All right, well, I was going to shoot rubber bands at you. Okay.

Speaker 1: Well, that's that's how it rolls around here, everybody. So back to more music. We're going to drinking. Yeah, we're going running, man. Never go running naked man. You're gonna run a naked in Rexburg, man. You you know me. I I don't like to even walk on. But I do lose it. enjoy it. You're a floor writer.

I am a floor writer. We talked about it on the morning show. If you missed that, you can catch it on the on-demand version of this program. Everywhere podcasts can be found. Uh, this story was just too funny. We have Shaw.

Speaker 2: talk about fall And streakers in this area.

Speaker 3: Yeah, the weather gets a little chilly

Speaker 2: because we had a streaker at the fair ones. We wasn't fully naked like this guy. Yeah, if you're gonna streak at the fair. the fair. Well, this guy had socks on. Yeah, okay.

Speaker 1: He did have socks on

Speaker 3: Because that's where three stores is Speedo is in a sock.

Speaker 1: I I love wacky stories out of Rexburg. So this guy, um, I guess he was observed running naked near Porter Park. So they run downtown. Is it downtown?

Speaker 3: Right downtown.

Speaker 1: So in Rexburgh. Let that sink in. Rexburgh. Right. So Madison County Sheriff's Office. They uh pursued him on foot. He was able to briefly lose them, but they set up a perimeter briefly.

Speaker 3: Briefly, that's an underwear joke.

Speaker 1: Yeah, so uh they ended up cornering him in a backyard, and they they're like, dude, why are you running around naked? And he said, Well, I ran because I didn't want you to see me naked.

Speaker 3: I run naked for me. Not for others.

Speaker 1: And he did say, allegedly.

Speaker 2: You have to ask Lieutenant Crane if that's a valid excuse to get off with a warning. Why did you run, man? I didn't want you to see me naked.

Speaker 1: And I guess it's uh allegedly a regular thing because he says while running, while running, he takes off his speedo, puts it in his sock, and runs naked through the BYU Idaho campus area. Party animal. Party animal. I always tell people Rexburg's a place to get wild. Nobody believes me.

They're nuts over there, man. Help me. Oh, I even got an alarm going off.

Is that a reminder to give away a prize? If you like running naked, call us right now. Run to the studio naked, first person that shows up in the No. No. Okay, all right.

We won't torture poor Kennedy in the front desk. That's every grandstand event we have. I'll give you my entire pile of tickets. Um you might be able to sell them all to pay for your your criminal fees and your lawyer fees. Leave. Josh is gonna run to the leaving. You can't run to the front door naked to win my prize.

Speaker 3: No, that's not why I'm leaving. It's not fair. I don't want to be here.

Speaker 1: Listeners, that is not a real contest. Do not show up to the studio naked.

Speaker 2: Our poor front desk people.

Speaker 1: Thank you Thank you again for tuning in to the Victor Wilts Show. This program's a production of River Bend Media Group. To contact the show or for more information, hit us up at Riverbend Media Group.com.
