Good morning and welcome. Today we continue with the story of Bulak, king of Moab, hiring the prophet Bilaam to curse the jewish people. But Bilaam, a true but greedy prophet, could only bless them. God warned him not to go with the Moabites, as the jewish people are blessed. Bilaam refused even for riches, knowing he was limited by God. Despite this, he hoped to change God’s mind. Hashem allowed Bilaam to go with the messengers, but only to speak what God permits. Bilaam still hoped to curse, but God’s love for the jewish people ensured only blessings. And that’s the Torah portion for today. This podcast was produced and sponsored by Daniel Aharonoff.
