Hey, this is Miriam Allred. I'm really doing it.
This is episode one, a quick trailer into my new podcast called Home Care Strategy Lab. If you can't hear it in my voice already, I am smiling ear to ear because this is just so exciting for me. It does not matter how many times I do this. I still feel that rush every time I hit record and today is no different.
So I've spent the last six years working for various tech companies in home care, doing sales, marketing and partnerships.
And for years now, I've had this incredible front row seat to the challenges, the wins and the behind the scenes stories of hundreds, if not thousands of home care businesses.
And it was about five years ago while working at Home Care Pulse, I launched my first podcast called Vision, the Home Care Leaders Podcast. Shout out to all of you who have been here listening since my early days.
So, that show was my baptize baptism by fire into podcasting. was a deep dive into home care operations. And it was the start of me building relationships with home care founders, CEOs, and leaders all across the industry. At the time, I only knew a little bit about home care, but conversations and listening are my preferred learning style. So I did a lot of that and learned a lot very quickly.
Fast forward, I transitioned to head of partnerships at Careswitch in 2023 and quickly launched my second show, my second podcast called Home Care U. There, I just continued to build upon my knowledge, my momentum, my network, and grew that podcast to be the number one rated show in home care with thousands tuning in every month and nearly perfect ratings across the board. It was honestly incredible.
But I would say most importantly, I continued learning and listening and really just loving on home care through these interviews that I was conducting with some of the best and brightest in the industry. week after week, I'd hear from all of you sharing decisions you made, changes to processes, implementing new technology, making new hires, opening up a new territory, hiring a consultant, just basically win after win after win based on what you would learn from the show.
So here I am today. I had no intention of starting my own business, but rather than building again for someone else, it's time that I build it for myself with and for all of you. So I'm going all in on Home Care Strategy Lab. It's a business, it's a podcast, and I feel like it's just the start of something bigger and better than I could have imagined.
So in all my experience, I've learned there isn't a single right way to run a home care business. If someone tells you otherwise, they're likely selling you something.
So on this new podcast, Home Care Strategy Lab, I'll be putting high growth home care agencies under this metaphorical microscope to see what's working, what doesn't and why. And we'll basically be breaking down the science of home care. Yes, it is a science.
And we are going to be writing this textbook of formulas that allow you to craft your own success. So in the lab, in the home care strategy lab, you are going to be the scientist and new episodes will drop every week.
And the show is supported by a group of handpicked sponsors. These are companies and services that'll help you grow smarter and faster. And I'm really excited to be working with these companies very closely to support all of you.
So, you can listen to the show on the website at homecarestrategylab.com or find the podcast wherever you get your podcasts.
And if you're listening to this, thank you, thank you, thank you for your support and helping me get here. I could not be doing this without all the friends and fans of my work over the years.
So, thank you so, so much. There are some really exciting times ahead and I'm super excited to launch this show. So, stay tuned for the first real episode dropping very soon.
