Try not to laugh.
You know, those challenge videos try
not to laugh, like On Fail Army or
some of those other channels on YouTube
Sheen, and I love watching those.
So I wanna share with you how
you can bring this concept into
the sale right there at the front
door to help you ink more deals.
And I recently read a book
called Humor Seriously.
And Inside the author talks about how
shoppers when exposed to humor in the
process spent 18% more money rated
people with a higher level of trust.
And said that they felt good about
it, which means your homeowners can
spend more money with you, trust you
more, and then enjoy it so much that
they tell their friends and their
family because humor is powerful.
So in this video, I want to give you a try
not to laugh, challenge that you can use
right at the doors starting today, even
when you go out there hitting the streets.
And slapping some doors.
Hey, welcome or welcome back.
Adam Mesman here, the root strategist
and everything that I do here on my
channel is designed to help you and your
team smash your income goal and give
every customer an amazing experience.
And in my opinion, an amazing
experience starts off right away,
that very first, first impression.
So in this video, I'll teach you that.
Try not to laugh, challenge it.
You can start using it at the doors
for that first impression to help
you ink more deals, get paid more
money, and even get more referrals.
Now let's get started.
Hey, listen, since.
Door to door, we go through slumps.
It's not always easy,
it's not always exciting.
It's not always fun.
In fact, sometimes we need to muster
up the courage and the motivation to
go out and start hitting some doors.
So I wanna share with
you how humor can help.
But first, let's lay the groundwork.
You may or may not know this,
I was light to the party, but
oxytocin is released when we laugh.
Oxytocin's, the love hormone that
we exchange when we're making
love or we're having a baby.
So it's a bonding hormone, and
we exchange that when we laugh.
Now, point number two, when you're
in a comedy skit, like maybe
you're out to comedy with a loved
one and there's a joke that you
don't like, maybe it offended you.
You don't laugh, right?
That's basically saying no.
But when you are in stitches or laughing
or smiling, or even just the slightest
smirk, you're agreeing with the comic.
You're saying yes.
So a laugh or a smile
is your very first yes.
Without everyone having to say anything.
So I wanna bring this humor now that
you know that it is proven to be
effective in the home, excuse me,
in sales, and we're gonna translate
into the home and give you the.
Try not to laugh.
Challenge with starts just like this.
What I want you to do, this challenge,
should you choose to accept it, is
when you show up at that door and you
knock and you take a step back and
you flash the international friend
signal, you start off by saying,
Hey, I'm just in the neighborhood
collecting high fives for smiles.
And step up and hold that smile
with that high five and see if you
can get your homeowners to reach
out and give you a high five.
And I want you to, I
want to ask you this now.
Have you ever given a
high five with a frown?
Probably not.
There's something that's almost
like connected when these, when
that palm connects, you're smile,
like you, you just can't help it.
Like the clap happens and
you're, and you start smiling.
And imagine starting that
conversation at the door with this.
Try not to laugh.
Challenge given that high five.
Hey, I'm just in the neighborhood
collecting high fives for smiles.
And going in for it.
And when someone gives you that high
five, say, no, no, no, I'm just joking.
I'm just playing along.
The reason I'm stopping by.
And then you go into your slap
formula right there in my prediction.
When you start using
this, try not to laugh.
Challenge.
You're gonna have homeowners who are
gonna laugh with you, which is give
you the first, yes, you've broken
the ice, you're not there to pitch,
you've differentiated yourself.
You've brought some humor in
it, and now they're gonna be
receptive to hearing you out.
So are you in, are you up
for the Try not to laugh.
Challenge, drop a comment below and come
on back and let me know how it goes.
I want to hear how many high
fives you collect this week.
Now thanks for joining me in this
video, the try Not to Laugh challenge,
bring in the high five, collecting
high five for smiles as that
icebreaker and getting homeowners
to want to spend 18% more with you.
Rate, higher levels of trust
and enjoy the experience.
I can't wait to hear how it goes for you.
Thanks for joining me in today's
super short video, just cuz our
time here is about to wrap up.
Doesn't mean your and my time has to.
