Rest Practice for Cycle Breakers

What is Rest Practice for Cycle Breakers?

Liberation lives in the body first and then ripples out. This guided rest practice lays the foundations for the depth of awareness and inner stability that is required to unlock that frequency, and offers guidance that helps you cultivate a relationship with your body that allows you to finally know how to truly rest.

I'm very excited for you to
start your rest practice.

I've designed this so that you can do it
regardless of how much space you have.

We'll just be standing, and then
we'll move into a seated position.

So before you play that next segment
of this audio offering where I guide

you through the actual practice,
I'm going to ask you to set up a

simple sitting area for yourself.

And that could be just one chair, that
could be just you moving closer to your

couch, or having a pillow or a cushion
on the floor, or if it feels good to your

body, it can just be even the bare ground.

And you can have pillows available
to you in case your body desires

some softer surface to lay on.

You can have a blanket handy if you'd like
to put it over your body as you practice.

But these are all optional.

All you really need is a place to sit.

And I would encourage you, if it's
possible, to find a spot where, even

if you're sitting on the floor, you
have a surface behind you where you

can lean your back or rest your body.

So that could be practicing right
by a wall or right by a sturdy

piece of furniture like a bed.

But really, as long as you have a
spot where you can stand and sit

and you can feel safe enough and
have enough of a privacy to be able

to practice, then you can begin.

I also know that bodies are diverse.

And so if for whatever reason, standing
or sitting is not available to you, I'm

going to encourage you to listen to the
prompts and let yourself, your body adapt

the prompts into what feels available
and what feels good to you in the moment.

And that could mean if I'm guiding
you to move your feet and your legs

and that's not available, listen
to which part of your body is

responding to that prompt instead.

And perhaps you might find that your
hips are starting to move in place.

And you can just follow that.

Any of the guidance I offer are
meant to support you and never to

override your body's own intelligence.

So if at any point your body leads
you somewhere else in the exploration,

please prioritize following that,
and you can just always come back to

the guidance whenever it feels good.

But always, always, this is a
practice that supports your own inner

knowing and your own capacity to
lead yourself and really embody that.

And so that's what I would
encourage you throughout.

So once you find your spot and you
feel ready with all the things that

you need, you can go ahead and play
that recording and begin your practice
