What is Charted?

Like a master surveyor, Jesus gives us clear directions to find a fulfilling, purpose-filled relationship with Himself - a map to the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Charted is a daily devotional written by the junior class at Fountainview Academy (Class of 2019). Based on the book Steps to Christ, this book explores the path to the Originator and Provider of Genuine Joy. We don't have to be confused about the way. The certainty is in the journey: divinely Charted.

Then do not fear to trust Him, even though you do not see the
immediate answer to your prayers. Rely upon His sure promise, “Ask,
and it shall be given you.” – Steps to Christ, pg. 96
As the sun shone through my curtains, I groaned at the
thought of preparing myself to go to school. The end of the school
year was coming, and I was overwhelmed by the amount of homework
received from almost every class I had. To top it all off, I needed
to make a decision as to which school I wanted to attend for the
upcoming school year. As I was ascending the stairs one day after
school, I started thinking about it. Throwing my backpack onto my bed
and taking my homework out, I questioned myself: How can I change
my Christian experience?
I prayed earnestly about it, and patiently waited for God’s
answer. A few days later, my parents came to me and raised the option
of going to Fountainview Academy. They offered to send me, and I
seriously considered it. Will this help build my relationship with God?
Will this school help me to know more about God? Again, I prayed.
I wanted to know if God was really telling me to go to Fountainview
Academy.
After a few days of closeness with God and of really seeking
His will in my life, I felt impressed to go. My family and I quickly filled
out an application and sent it in. God showed me what to do through
the whole process. I was so happy when I received an email informing
me that I had been accepted. Falling on my knees, I thanked God for
leading in my life.
Being at Fountainview Academy has made me realize that
I would have missed out on relationships and lifestyle choices that
have already changed the way I think. God is changing me daily at
Fountainview. I know He has a plan for me, and if you seek His will
through prayer, He will show you His plan for you too.
