Did you ever play the would you rather game as a kid? You know how it went. Would you rather eat a hot dog or a hamburger, mustard or mayonnaise, eat a worm or a June bug, or kiss a pig, or hug a snake. These childhood games were fun and silly, but playing would you rather as an adult can be really enlightening. Stick around and learn just how enlightening on this edition of the Ray Sanders Leadership Podcast.
Speaker 1:Hello, everyone. I'm Ray Sanders, and you're listening to the Ray Sanders Leadership Podcast. You made it back. I guess you decided you would rather listen in than do something else, and I'm glad you did. Let's take that childhood game of would you rather and unpack a few ideas as adults.
Speaker 1:Here we go. Would you rather be known for kindness or perfection? Would you rather be right or be wrong about someone's good intentions? Would you rather be open to change or hold on to what has always been? How about this one?
Speaker 1:Would you rather hold on to an offense or choose to forgive the offender? Would you let right would you rather live with regret or stick to your guns? Or how about hang on to your opinion, or accept that other perspectives might be better? How about this one? Would you rather shape the narrative to your advantage, or allow the truth to speak for itself?
Speaker 1:Would you rather protect the guilty or promote the innocent? Would you rather fight for your rights or yield to peace? Would you rather compromise your standards or carry on in hopes of a better way? Would you rather rely on your traditions or accept a new reality? And then would you rather motivate with honey or poke with a stick?
Speaker 1:Would you rather reign with power or serve with strength? Would you rather accept that people change or retain a past perspective of them? Would you rather make a lifelong memory or make more money? Would you rather engage in person with people who love you or socialize online with Facebook friends who like you? Would you rather learn a new skill or find an old one?
Speaker 1:Would you rather travel the world or take a trip down memory lane? Would you rather lead or would you rather follow? Would you rather give or take? Would you rather love or hate? Would you rather accept your shortcomings or blame it on others?
Speaker 1:Or how about would you rather play the victim or be the victor? Would you rather stay where you are or embrace a new beginning? You know what? It's an old game, but it's a new day. The choices are yours to make.
Speaker 1:Which will you choose? It all depends on you. Would you rather? Hey. Thanks for stopping by.
Speaker 1:I hope I gave you a little something to think about today. Until next time, remember, we're in your corner for life. And more.
