Welcome to Fully Booked with Vegard Mikalsen. I went from 5 clients in 1.5 years to 60 clients and $15K months in 6, and later hit $30K months as an online fitness coach. On this podcast you'll learn how to get more of the right clients, charge what you're worth, keep clients long after binding ends, and every mistake I made on the way, so you can get fully booked without repeating them.
If you're not fully booked as an online fitness coach, this video is gonna change your life. My name is Vegard. I went from five to 60 clients in under six months getting to 15 k months consistently. We've recently done more than 30 k in a single month. And the truth is you can single handedly get more than 12 to 15 clients in to your coaching business without the team, without spending crazy amounts on ad, having hours poured into tasks you don't wanna do or working with an agency.
Speaker 1:And in this video, I'm gonna show you exactly how I did it so you can just go ahead and do it yourself. Now here I have included just some proof that I actually done what I'm saying that I have done. And here is the first month when I figured out the system to get more leads. We immediately gained traction and got to 2.5 ks. Then three months in, 10 ks.
Speaker 1:Then five months in, we hit 15 ks. The first 15 ks month, the year after, we averaged around 15 ks for a year and now we've hit a 16 ks day. We've hit a 23 ks week. And I'm not saying this to brag in any sort of way. This is just to give you proof because there's so many people out there who haven't done what they say they have actually done.
Speaker 1:Now, the problem for most coaches is that you're putting in the work posting, getting views but not enough clients into your business. You might even get a ton of engagement on your posts. People might comment on your stories but they don't end up as clients. You don't know what content truly works and when the next client is coming in. It creates a ton of unpredictability, low motivation and zero growth.
Speaker 1:You might even blame yourself for just not knowing how to get further ahead or think that there's no way of doing it. And online coaching is, of course, when it is like this, not truly livable. You have no real freedom in what you're doing. And I've been there. I had one point five years and barely any clients.
Speaker 1:I posted three times a week, tried my best on content, but I didn't know what to do and it ended up with me coaching the same five clients for one point five years. These were clients I already knew from before, it was friends and family. I was struggling with motivation because no growth was happening. I was going for walks trying to figure out what can I do differently every single day? But the truth was, I was missing the right system from the start.
Speaker 1:No real system on how to get more clients consistently, no understanding of how to use content properly. I was just guessing. And when I finally got what I'm about to show you in place, I went from five to 60 clients, as I mentioned, in six months to consistent fifteen ks months, changing my whole life and absolutely everything in it. Now, if you stick to the end, I'll have a special offer for you but that's only for the people sticking to the end. The first step of this system has nothing to do with spending more on ads, as I mentioned, with going to agencies, with doing all these things.
Speaker 1:It's just understanding what I call the assembly line. What is the assembly line? Well, let's draw it out. Assembly lines, they look something like this, just a band that moves things downwards this way. What you need for the assembly line is first of all the order in.
Speaker 1:You have to order something in to start it. So you come with your order then you move those items downwards. You're probably going to have some workers here, right? So you're going to have some workers, they're going to quality control and in the end it's going to be moved over to boxes. Now the reason I'm showing you this is because this is exactly how your content works as well and way too many people are not aware of the importance in this exact system.
Speaker 1:The thing is, content isn't just content and one of the biggest mistakes I see coaches make is that they only do the order and the order is what's called top of funnel, the moving is what's called middle of funnel, the actual conveyor belt, everything here is middle of funnel and getting it boxed is what's called bottom of Now the mistake most people make is own the top of funnel. Top of funnel content is the content that creates curiosity from the people that watches it. So it could be something about your lifestyle. It could be something very simple like a b roll video with text on it. That's very top of funnel.
Speaker 1:But the problem is it speaks to people who have never seen you before. And when you only create top of funnel content, what's going to happen? It stops here. The process stops here. Now let me explain this conveyor belt a bit more in-depth.
Speaker 1:Middle of funnel is gonna be the content that builds trust with your clients, with your leads, not your clients, and moves them down towards actually getting boxed here is where they become clients. Okay? So bottom of funnel is the content that bridges the gap, the is content that moves them over to the boxes. This is going to be your urgency content, your objection handling content, your client testimonials. This is what truly makes someone take action.
Speaker 1:Okay? So this is curiosity, right? This is trust and this is action. Again, the biggest problem I see coaches make is that they almost only focus on one of these. And I've been on all of these, like I've only focused on bottom of funnel, I got a ton of sales, but then nothing happened again.
Speaker 1:So I had like 10 sales in a week and then I had zero clients for a very long time. Because they didn't no new clients came into the conveyor belt, right? You always have to feed it. You always have to feed it. It's like a what's it called, like a tract or tray or whatever.
Speaker 1:You pour in new people, you qualify during this all the way and then you get out clients. But if you stop pouring in new, right, if you stop with the top of funnel, if you stop getting in new clients, new leads here, what happens? Nothing is going to come out in the end either. You're not going to get clients. So all of these parts have to stick.
Speaker 1:Top of funnel gives you people in, middle of funnel moves them down, and bottom of funnel, the action content bridges the gap. Hope that makes sense so far. Now what will top of funnel really be? Top of funnel is gonna be, as I mentioned, content with b rolls and text, it's also gonna be your follower ads. This is gonna bring people to your profile, so to your Instagram profile.
Speaker 1:They're gonna see your profile, whatever you have written here, it should be targeted towards your dream clients. And they're going to follow. If they follow, they're moved onto the conveyor belt, okay? But the job of top of funnel content is to get that follow in the first place. If you only post top of funnel content, what's going happen is that some of these people are going to come to your profile and they're going to immediately shoot you a message or click your link and apply to your program.
Speaker 1:They won't be able to pay the price of your program. They're just going to waste your time. They're not warm enough, they're not pain heavy enough, they are not going to buy and that's the reason if you have low close rate, that's one of the major reasons why your close rate is very low. Now say you were really good at middle of funnel and top of funnel contents, you did both of these well. Then you would get the leads in, right, people would come to your profile, they would follow you, and then you would warm them up with nurturing content which are going to be pieces where you provide value.
Speaker 1:So this is step one, two and three of how you should solve this. Here is a problem, here is how you solve it. And for example it could be you think this is the solution to your problem, but that's a myth and here is the reality of it where you educate the people that watch your content. It could be showing your lifestyle. All of these things are middle of fun, okay?
Speaker 1:So your lifestyle, it has to be shown in an educational way where you provide value if it's going to be middle of fun. All of these things are middle of fun. Long form content like this one, this is also middle of fun. Now, what's that going to do? The people that now click your link, send you messages, all of these things, they are going to be warmer.
Speaker 1:So when you have them on your sales calls, more people are going to close. More people are going to trust you because they've seen that you know what you are talking about. Okay? But still, you're not going to have a very high close rate because people lack urgency. People still have a ton of objections and people haven't seen enough proof from you.
Speaker 1:That's what happens in the bottom of funnel aspect of every thing. So when you also dial in this, and this is going to be content where you speak about urgency. Why should your client take action right now? Why shouldn't they just wait until later? Why should they take action?
Speaker 1:Why is this period of the year the best to take action? What does it cost them if they wait? How does it affect their life? How does it affect their family, their health? All of these things are going to be urgency.
Speaker 1:Objection and the content, if people come with price objections, speak about it. Oh, people spend probably 80% of their clothes, designer clothes. They are never using. They have spent tens of thousands on designer clothes, but the one thing that truly matters and makes them feel well, they're not spending money on, speak about it in your company. That's going to be objection only content.
Speaker 1:And the last one, with clients' testimonials, show the true transformation of your client, not only before or after photos. That's very weak, it's very lazy. Now what you should do instead is show where were they, what pain did they have, how did they feel, that's what the people watching are going to relate And move over to speaking about what you actually did and then how they feel now, the contrast. That's going to be a good testimonial and that's going to be action, it's going to make people very warm. Now the people that contact you, because they've moved, you've moved them from being a brand new follower, built a ton of trust with them and you've moved them over to the box by having the actionable content.
Speaker 1:Now they are going to become a client and most of your meetings are going to become clients. Okay, hope all of that makes sense, but this is the assembly line and you have to have all three of these. Of course, some people are going to drop off in the middle of funnel area, like if you post a video and you get hundreds of thousands of views, it's very broad, nobody needs to know about you or trust you in any sort of way. A lot of people are going to follow you, you're going get a lot of bad followers. But when they constantly see you putting your middle of funnel content, what's going to happen?
Speaker 1:A ton of them are going to be quality checked and removed, they're going to unfollow you. But the ones that fit your program, they are going to keep being more and more curious, being moved more and more over, trust you more and more until you post the actionable content and what's going to happen. They are going to take action over time. So this is the essence. Now that's only step one, of course.
Speaker 1:Step number two is setting up the actual content structure itself because how much should you post of all different styles of posts and what should you do for top of them, what should you do for middle of them. This is just going to be a general framework. You cannot copy this one to one because this is of course going to be individual. If you don't have any content structure, it's going to be very much more friction, more decision fatigue in creating your content. You should have some sort of structure.
Speaker 1:That doesn't mean it should be written in stone. This should absolutely not be written in stone. You should be able to improve it week by week, month by month and change it where you need it to. But the most important part is that you have some structure on your Stories and on the content that you're posting. So first of all, the split.
Speaker 1:We have top of funnel, middle of funnel, bottom of funnel. We want to use all of them. Now the way I've done it and the way I got the 12 to 15 clients per month was to do bottom of funnel, so bottom of funnel, bottom of funnel, very heavy bottom of funnel on stories. Now stories is going be a bit different, I'm going to explain. Stories is mainly bottom of funnel and middle of funnel.
Speaker 1:You're not going to have top of funnel stories. Here is what I did and the other days on stories I just had middle of funnel, different styles and on content I had top of funnel, top of funnel and top of funnel, like this. Okay, I had a focused brand to get more traffic into my page and that's going be the main issue for a lot of coaches watching this. If you're not unlike thousands of followers, this is going to be the main thing right now. You need to get more traffic into your page.
Speaker 1:The right style of traffic, of course, you cannot just post random things. Post things that relate to you, your dream clients, things that are useful for your dream client in some sort of way. Top of funnel, the only difference between top of funnel is not how far it reaches. It's that top of funnel creates curiosity so people click on your profile, they want more of you. Middle of funnel builds trust, they feel the authority of you as a person and the bottom of funnel creates action.
Speaker 1:Okay? That's very important to understand. Now you have these different days. What formats did I run? I ran just a viral reaction style video on Mondays or a controversial topic that my clients had spoken about or my, in this period, clients of course, so in this period it was just things I saw on the internet, like in the newspapers, stuff like that.
Speaker 1:And that gave me a lot of views, a lot of curiosity and people started following me. Now on Tuesdays I did an exercise tutorial where I give specific tips, again, more followers. And Saturdays I did a nutritional video, so let's say recipe and what did that do? Again, people follow me. Now this is just the top of funnel.
Speaker 1:This is so that when people click your profile they immediately get value without knowing you. So they follow you. But then, the more important part is actually moving them down the assembly line, right? So Wednesdays, I posted a value post, tons of tips. This is actually wrong.
Speaker 1:I don't know why I put this was supposed to be on the stories. Value post. Now in the value post, I always gave one to five different steps that they could take. Then on Fridays, I did the same thing. I had a value or educational post.
Speaker 1:And on Thursdays, I also had middle of funnel. But here I did rather than all the other days I did reels, here I did a carousel with value, okay? So we have the instant curiosity, we have the authority builders and then Sunday I almost always try to either post about client testimonials or create urgencyaction. Now on Stories, what I did and here is what you can do, if you have long form assets, freebies, whatever, post about it on all the middle of funnel days, can post about that, you can do a Q and A, so middle of funnel is going to be Q and As, it's going to be freebies, it's going to be just educational stories like the same thing, one to five steps, showing your lifestyle for sure, show your lifestyle and personality, be authentic for sure, that's very important in all of this. And then the bottom of them is going to be showing your client results, so whatever, if it's a message, just use it.
Speaker 1:Client results followed by, it could be like common misbelief that people have, so myth busting or explaining the story arc, it could be the story of the clients. And then CTA, have a CTA to send you a message, to book a meeting. And what is this going to do? You have the perfect mix. In my case this was the perfect mix.
Speaker 1:Again, you might have to have more. If you have a ton of followers, might have to have more middle of them. If you have very few followers, you might have to have top of them. But we're not done yet. We have one more step, it's going help you a lot if you have fewer followers.
Speaker 1:And the bottom of funnel, if you have a ton of people on your profile but no one are buying, more bottom of funnel for sure. And this can change period wise, like if you have a period with a ton of top of funnel, you have very much top of funnel in one period, maybe you want to go super hard on middle of funnel the next and then super hard on bottom of funnel because here you created a ton of the top part, but nothing, nothing moved. Then you create all the movement. And lastly, you create the buyers and you end up with a ton of buyers. That's also a way to do it.
Speaker 1:Now there are many ways to do it, but this is individual. Now, fueling the fire with ads. Because back to the assembly line, okay? We need to get more people into the assembly line first. And one way to do that, another form of top of funnel content is going to be, of course, as I mentioned, like recipes, exercise tutorials, reaction videos, all these things that are creating curiosity, but people don't really need to know you.
Speaker 1:It's controversial. It's like attention content kind of. What's also going to be top of funnel is ads, boosted reels, like creating an ad to get followers. That's what I wanted to do. Alright, let's look at how the ad should be created.
Speaker 1:So very short, this is the exact ad structure that I used. Callouts, my dream customer first. So if you are a person feeling this way, struggling to get this goal basically, then this video is for you. Then I went into full understanding of them. And the way you do this is, for example, because I know it's hard when you again and again skip family dinners, you avoid eating out but still the scale doesn't move.
Speaker 1:Okay, and then the next part is going to be explaining like having the turning point in the story. So this is the real problem, the truth. But it's not that you're not trying hard enough, you definitely are. It's that and then whatever the reason is. What is the reason your Dream Clients aren't getting progress?
Speaker 1:And then you're going into, if this sounds like you, give me a follow. So that's going to be CTA number one. And then you explain yourself, so who are you? My name is Vegard, I've helped 300 busy women lose weight and get into the shape of their life. Like, okay, let's just write that introduction intro and then you have your testimonials.
Speaker 1:So that's going to be one to two clients. Like this person that lost nine KGs even though they ate out and was with their family all the time. And this person, okay, so you go through the testimonials. If you want to do the same thing, just give me a follow and I'll show you exactly how you do. It.
Speaker 1:So CTA number two, boom. That's how you do it. Like there is of course a thousand variations you could do to this. This is how I did it. This was how I got followers for around like actual qualified followers as well.
Speaker 1:For around five, sorry, this is in Norwegian Kroners, it's going to be $1 and $0.5. So $0.5 to $1 per follower from the ads and this still works. I still use the same structure. I still use the same structure to the ad, I just change exactly what I say and I film in different locations. So you could do this.
Speaker 1:And what's this going to do again? You're going to get more people into your conveyor belt, which means when you do middle of funnel content, can now focus less on the top of funnel, you should have that as well, so you don't rely 100% on this. It's going be more expensive that way. So have a bit of top of funnel, but now you can focus more on the middle of funnel, which is going to be giving out value, giving out tips, giving out education, giving out freebies, creating long form content and podcasts for example. And then you're going to have more time to focus on bottom up funnels.
Speaker 1:So rather than just doing it 2x your story and 1x content, you could do it 2x story and 2x content every single week without a problem, right? Alright. So what's that going to do again? People are going to take action. You're going to be able to charge bigger prices and you're going to close a ton more of the meetings that you book.
Speaker 1:Middle of funnel is going to help you book more meetings. Bottom of funnel is going to help you book and close more meetings. Top of funnel is going to get you more leads. And the thing that is very important to remember now, there's nothing that says it's maximum seven posts a week or minimum seven. You could do three posts a week, one top of funnel, one middle of funnel, one bottom of funnel, just do them well.
Speaker 1:Like be intentional with the content you create. And here is how I like to visualize this. Set a content structure where you have to go uphill, but you should be able to walk the whole way. It shouldn't be at the level where you always have to stop, take breaks, always have to stop. This is how it's going to look.
Speaker 1:If you make it too too steep, right, it's going to be like this. You're going to climb up and you're to get here and you're to fall right down. You're too tired. You're gonna fall right down. And that's how it's gonna be in content as well.
Speaker 1:You're gonna burn out from the content. Three weeks in, one month in, and the consistency you had is just gone. And I can promise you right now, if you don't have consistency in content, that's the most important part, you will never grow. Like no matter how good you understand all of this, the assembly line, the ads, no matter how good you understand it, it has to be consistent. So you have to have that hill.
Speaker 1:So if you feel like five times a week, it's a bit of a challenge, like it's uphill but it's doable. Do five times a week. If you feel like three stories a week is the best you can do, one call to action story, then do that, that's very important, okay? Do it a way you can actually keep to it, but make it a bit harder than just being comfortable. So, you made it this far, so I know you are serious.
Speaker 1:But knowing all of this and implementing it correctly are two completely different things. And this is not to say that you are lazy, you are going to do your best on this. I don't doubt it at all. But just like I tried my best for a very long time, I was stuck for years. And you could be stuck for months, maybe just weeks, maybe months, maybe even years.
Speaker 1:And that's time lost, that's potential lost and that's exactly why, as promised, I have a special offer for you for watching through this video. I am taking on Coaches one to one where I help you build all of this from day one, the whole content system, but also the sales, the delivery aspect of it, every single step of the process you need to get to your first fifteen ks month and even further, up to 30. And because you watch this, you'll only pay half the amount now. This is an offer where you only pay the other half once you hit more like increase of 7.5 k per month in revenue, in dollars. So when we've increased our revenue by 7.5 k per month, then you pay the other half of the program.
Speaker 1:That means I don't get fully paid until you've actually grown, until you reach your goals and your win is literally my payday. If you want more info on this, book in directly with me on the link below the video or send me a DM with leads and I'll tell you more about how it works. And thank you for watching.
