[00:00:00] Hello and welcome to Plan C Tabletop Gaming Center's Dungeons and Dragons Pirate Adventure. My name is Chris Boyd, he/him. I will be your dungeon master tonight, joined by our excellent crew. Hi, my name's Kyle, uh, he/him. I'm playing Tingus Pingus, also he/him. And, uh, this week not a quote but just a really fun fact, seeing as March Madness is coming up.
Uh, the Yukon women's basketball team holds the top three record for the most undefeated streaks with 70 wins, 90 wins, and 111 wins, the most recent one. Whoa. Wow. Consecutive. That last one includes four NCA, uh, NCAA championships. Whoop, whoop. Damn. Um, hi. My name's Heather, uh, she/they pronouns. I don't know how to speak today.
I play Cathara Faust and, um, no fun fact, I've just been a menace, and that's probably why my brain can't work. Someone take, give me the brain cell. Didn't you kill one of your players last week? Oh, and I killed one of my players last week. So I mean, I'm doing great. Hi, [00:01:00] I'm Maeve, she/they pronouns, playing Riven, she/her pronouns, and my fun fact of the week is seahorses are one of the few fishes that mate for life.
That's really awesome. Yeah. Uh, hi, my name is Cameron, he/him, playing Aldren Ziljor, pronouns also he/him. Um, another little fun costuming/Ren Faire tip, um, is if you go in, like, the toy section, which, yes, is for kids, but also you can go there, too, and you look for, like, toy weapons and stuff, you can repaint them, and they're really, really good for Ren Faires- Mm-hmm
and they don't cost that much. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Good ideas, good ideas. Mm-hmm. My fun fact is we're still pon- uh, partnering with Advancing Heroes, a charity to help cover, uh, EMT training and first responder school. Uh, they have a pirate-themed gala as well as Dungeons & Dragons play events with professional dungeon masters.

There is a D&D event coming up Saturday, March 28th, and Sunday, March 29th, as well as the pirate gala, the Buccaneers Moonlight Ball, on June 29th. So thanks again to them. Really excited to be working with them. Now, to jump back into our adventure, last we were with our party, there was a coronation, a big celebration crowning Captain Willman Fail to finally officially be the new Pirate Republic monarch.
Now, in this, our party was asked about potentially taking over control of the ship with some amount of guilt on the captain's behalf of the possibility of [00:03:00] drawing a target on you all with this sequence of events. But it also meant an increase in independence as the four of you together would run this ship and as you see fit.
You were tasked with two things to do while you depart. Uh, one, more on this aside, if you come across it. There is a pirate who recently commissioned a new faster ship, The Current Catcher, uh, that has not paid back their loan. You will either be capturing the ship, the pirate, or both. Or payment. However you see fit.
It was left open-ended. Additionally, when you were originally in [00:04:00] the underground temple where you first, um, met Captain Scarlett's crew They were there for a specific artifact that the captain, now king, would like some more information on and thinks you can get more at a small village that features a monastery, uh, far to the north.
And so the four of you departed with your now ship, uh, accompanied by Tybalt for support Left early morning and have had a fairly uneventful journey so far How are you all making out? What are you all-- how are you going about your new days of, uh, independence, as it were?
Kathar is trying to [00:05:00] not let that get to her head. We're all co-captains here, right? Yeah. We, we are the captain now. How, how much strut is in her step? Oh, there is a pep in her step. She might be standing a little bit taller, uh, as she directs things about. But she also can't help, like, still, like, taking over, like, her old duties of, like, making sure, like, things are accounted for, and organizing things, and then being like, "Oh, it's tea time.
Wait, do I still have to do tea time?" Do you wanna do tea time? I mean, do you wanna do tea time? I'll never say no to tea time. All right. So we can keep tea time. Got it. So yeah, she's, she's kind of doing the same things, but still trying to, like, not be the main captain. See, I imagine that, like- Co-captains
with, with tea time in particular, seeing as we're sharing the main cabin that you're, that you're saying it in there, and it's, it's just like, "Yeah, no, like, we can absolutely keep tea time."[00:06:00]
Why do I talk out loud to myself? I don't know. Probably because you're just not used to having other people around. That is true. Um, great, so- ... should we, like, I don't know, gather the other captains and figure out the plan of action as we head north? Yeah, we should probably do that. Figure out, like, you know, if we need to make pit stops along the way- Yeah
or- Yeah ... things, captain things. Yeah. Yeah. All right. Yeah, let's do that. I'll go round up the other two, just, just kinda call a just captains meeting. Riven's never, like, is doing- ... exactly the same thing that she would be doing if she wasn't a captain. Like, nothing has changed in her day-to-day life. She just now goes around just saying, "I'm the captain.
I'm the captain." Like, every once in a while, just like a little- Yeah ... just like a little s- like, yeah, with her big fancy hat. Big fancy hat on. Like, nothing else besides that. Like, she just is like, "Okay." Like, every once in a while she'll say that. But, um, yeah, she's just doing the same thing that she always does.
She just thinks [00:07:00] that nothing in her life is gonna change because why would it? It's literally we're all in the same thing, so. Yeah. Yeah. Drin, nothing has changed at all. He still talks to you very, all very little. He still spends most- Yeah ... of his time either in the crow's nest or behind the, uh, the wheel, and that's where you find him when you go to round him up.
Behind the wheel- Yeah ... for once? Yeah. Damn. Excuse me, I've been behind the wheel approximately three ti- no, I'm kidding. In game three times. In game three times. Just check the stats. Watch out, we got a fat ass in here. Um, where, where are we gathering? Uh, in the, in the- In the old captain's quarters? Yeah.
Yeah, in the captain's quarters, where our, our now conference room is. It's our con- con- conference room. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Seeing as we got rid of the old conference room. If you're at the wheel, I think I'd be at the crow's nest, just kinda like look normally, I would... What I normally would be would be, like, watching the water- Mm-hmm
and looking for sea animals with the spyglass. Mm-hmm. Good, yes. Perfect. Exactly what we need. Yeah. All right, so [00:08:00] I just, do, do I assume both of you come? I'm in the captain's nest. like I said, I, I go and wrangle. Drin pauses like he's thinking about saying no, and then comes with you. Okay. She's, like, pointing the spyglass, like, literally right at you, and 'cause she can't- She can see it out of the eye ... she's like, "What do you want?" Captain's meeting. Do I have to? Yes. Oh, okay. Yes. Climbs down.
Like, "Drin's coming. You have to come, too." I don't think that's the rules, but I'll do it anyways. If he's willing to come, you absolutely have to come. My name is Aldrin, not Drin. No, it's old man, and they poke you.
I walk ahead of Tingus. I think he's in a good mood today, don't you? Hard to tell. He didn't hit me, so. Not that he hits me, but like- I was gonna say, whoa, when has that ever happened? I don't normally touch him, so [00:09:00] he didn't swat my hand away. I've never hit anyone on this crew.
Jesus, just where are these accusations coming from? Anyways, we all end up successfully in the, the captain's quarters. You literally see Zahra, like, finishing putting cups of tea out. Oh, good, you're all here. What flavor is it? Oh, that's true. Coconut and blueberry. Ooh. And she grabs it. Ooh, it's too hot. Yes.
Yeah. Let it cool. Uh, milk, sugars. She takes a handful of sugar and plops it in her drink. Good God. All right, so, uh, we need to decide on an actual plan of action. Yeah. It seems like we can't really do the one that I'm more intrigued about, which is possibly breaking somebody's knees. Uh- Oh, wait, don't we need information first, and then- Uh, yeah, right

Uh, it is a fairly remote, um, maybe not even a village, like maybe more of a, a, a hamlet, uh, Wild. Uh, it is kind of on the border of where it gets extremely cold. It is still technically under imperial rule, but they don't even really bother sending... It would cost them more to, like, send tax collectors than they would actually get back type of thing.
Mm. So even though it's... Like, they will draw, they will happily draw the line on the map that far north, but, like- No one comes there ... not really a thing. They don't care. Right. The, the population is very small, but it does [00:12:00] feature a monastery, uh, and the... It is weirdly famous for exceptionally sweet beets.
Like music? Yeah. Yeah, there's s- Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Some sick beats. Um, do I have an idea how many- Some heavy DM stuff ... days to the north we're talking? It is actually fairly far, probably a week. Okay. It is an exceptionally small hem- It's, it's... Based on the information that we were provided, I would say we're talking at least a week.
On the ocean? So we're going to be on the sea for quite a while, yes. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. This, this is assuming- Yeah ... that the sailing is, well, you know, smooth. Just give us the short version. You don't have to add any details. What is important here is that the rest of the crew, and frankly no one else, be aware of it. It was not my intent for any of you to ever become aware of it, nor did I think that you could become aware of it. It's an old Error. Error? Or era Is, is it a secret that you have to keep?

And frankly, as far as I was concerned, you were as great a risk to me as anyone else.

As long as they're not flying anything that could be tied back to the empire, anything that could truly get us into full trouble.

Um, he has started spending an increasing amount of time there. Um, but he's propped it, um, especially now that we're getting fairly close.
He knows where we're going. Um- Oh, cruise control. Yeah. Cruise control. Cruise control. Um, and he's sitting on just some, like, crates that are now pretty commonplace to see there. He seems to have made, like, a makeshift little area to sit, basically. Smart move. Um, and he is drawing something in the journal that you've seen him with.
Cathara walks up in the very most, trying to be so nonchalant. She just kind of walks up and just is like... You know, like, when someone, like, walks, and, like, the hands are behind the back, and they're just kind of like, "Mm." They clearly have something that they want to say. And they clearly want to talk. Yeah.
Mm-hmm. Just like, "Mm, yeah. Oh, clever use of, uh, crates. Didn't think probably to put seating up here. [02:37:00] Huh. Well, it's nice." Uh- Do you want to talk about something? She's staying at enough of a distance, not like being like, "Oh, there's another crate.
Let me go sit next to you," just now. But she's, you know, probably within like, you know, five, 10-ish feet. Enough distance.
And she's, like, trying to figure out a way and to, like, start this conversation, and you see her kind of, like, open up her notebook, and she's
So, the way I behaved was unbecoming [02:38:00] of myself in relation to our communication. Um, and that, I think that comes from a place of not knowing And you don't have to talk to me about this, or you don't have to answer anything, but with Saja, um, disappearing a few days back Um, and my outburst, sorry. Where I'm coming from is what I'm experienced in the world. Most [02:41:00] other people who have creatures with them, they are tamed pets. They are- Or caged Or caged, um, in- Which he says with a, a clear degree of disdain. Uh, yep. Uh, not a fan of that either. Or they're used as weapons, tools, a means to an end. So to see you and Saara, it's, it's different I understand.
I have freed a great number of animals back to where they ought to be from bindings that Looked very similar to what Saja and I have Mm-hmm So essentially, dog's [02:42:00] not a pet, more a companion, a, a, a friendly partner
If that is how it pleases you to call it No, I wanna call it what it is. What do you call it?
I have traveled with Saja over many of your lifetimes At a certain point, there is nothing to call it
I Emma's to her as she is to me And I am glad for her company

Now I know a little bit more and can change [02:44:00] kind of how I view your partnership with Sasha, but I would like to add that as much as you rely on Sasha and Sasha on you, I hope that at some point you rely on all of us in a similar sense

And Kithara will just keep walking. Temus would probably be, like, at the bottom of the stairs and be like, "See, was that so hard? You did a great job." Oh, shut up. And she walks away.
