Divination For Liberation

Where in your relationships have you been acting like getting your basic needs met is the ceiling of what you can ask for, the ceiling of what you feel comfortable needing,  where it really needs to be the floor?

Because we are all so conditioned to neglect from parents, lovers, and the government, when we see somebody having a little bit more than us, we see that as a reason why they should not ask for more. And instead, it should be the reason we ask, why do I feel entitled to so much less?

At the August 12, 2026 new moon solar eclipse in sidereal Cancer, we are "Revealing the truth of my feelings and needs."

On this episode of the Divination for Liberation podcast, “Where in your relationships have you been acting like getting your basic needs met is the ceiling of what you can ask for, the ceiling of what you feel comfortable needing, where it really needs to be the floor? Mayor Mamdani is not the ceiling, the penultimate, the peak.”

00:29
“It is the floor. It is the baseline. But because we are all so conditioned to neglect that we see somebody having a little bit more than us. We see that as a reason why they should not ask for more. And instead, it should be a reason why, why do you feel entitled to so much less?”

01:41
Hi, it's Dayna, and I'm here with your divination for the new moon solar eclipse in sidereal cancer. The 2026 Sidereal Astrology Guide says, “Revealing the truth of my feelings and needs.

02:15
This is one of those moments where the astrology is so incredibly personal in the way that it's manifesting that it's been really hard to see beyond my own personal circumstances in terms of how to talk about it. Now, for what it's worth, I have been talking about sidereal cancer for the last two episodes because it has been a sign featured in both the full moon and sidereal.

02:44
Sagittarius in the early part of July, and then of course the full moon in Sidereal Capricorn, which was just a couple of weeks ago. And in that time, I've been eclipsed. I have really experienced what I talked about at the full moon in Sidereal Capricorn, which was realizing the tension between caretaking and being taken care of.

03:11
And then of course, this new moon solar eclipse in sidereal Cancer, revealing the truth of my feelings and needs. And so rather than trying to look past what's going on in my life, I'm going to do something that I don't normally do on this podcast, which is to talk about what's been going on with me. And I'm sharing this in hopes that it'll help somebody, it'll make somebody feel seen and

03:40
It will.

03:44
do what it needs to do in order to make the point of this eclipse clear. I'm gonna talk about the astrology in a minute, but I just wanna share what's been going on with me.

03:58
I am an incredibly independent person. And I wear that as a badge of honor, particularly because that independence for me has always, from the very beginning, been about my independence of thought. You can ask my dad, you can ask my family, you can ask anyone who's known me for most of my life, that I have always thought for myself. And the pressure to conf—

04:27
form to any particular way of seeing things that contradicted maybe the patterns I saw, my own lived experience or what made sense to me, like I just wasn't going to do it. And it got me in trouble because as a kid, you're supposed to accept things without questioning. You're supposed to believe what you're taught. You're supposed to take the indoctrination and let it wash over you and inform the way you see yourself in the world.

04:54
This is not to say that I had not been subject to indoctrination or there were not beliefs or things that I was taught that I took wholesale. Yes, but clearly being here doing this work as an astrologer, as a black woman who grew up as a black church girl in the Pentecostal church, to get here required a lot of independence and independence of thought. But also that independence has manifested in

05:24
taking care of myself. I've had some conversations with family members recently just about how important it was for my own mother to instill in me this confidence because she didn't want me to grow up to be a helpless adult. She didn't want to be burdened with having to take care of me due to my own inability to make a life for myself. She always encouraged me career-wise to undertake paths that would lead to the type of stability that she was able to create for herself through the corporate world.

05:53
But that was never going to be for me. I've never worked a nine to five. I've always been a creative. I've always been a leader. I've always had natural business acumen. I've always had an incredible amount of skills and I've developed expertise in various lanes that especially equipped me to do the work that I'm doing today. To say that I feel called to do this work does not truly encapsulate the conviction.

06:19
that I feel and the way that my life circumstances have carved out this very narrow path for me to arrive to where I am today. But this narrow path has been paved with me taking on responsibilities, being abandoned and neglected in a way that left no one to do it for me, but me. Whether that no one to do it but me has been raising my child through the abandonment and neglect of his father.

06:47
through the inability of my own family members to notice when my kid is having an asthma attack, to being in the hospital and in the ICU working while my child is struggling to breathe on high flow oxygen, whether it's been being in New Orleans for the past seven years, literally with one break, I went from 2020 all the way to the end of 2025.

07:10
without spending more than a few hours away from my kid, with no one else to take over duties of managing his chronic illness, with no one else to take over, you know, the duties of cooking and cleaning and caring for him and managing his disabilities, on top of having to work and be the head of household and earn money. I'm sharing this backstory because I know that I'm not the only one. I know for sure that I'm not the only woman and the only parent.

07:39
who has been neglected into independence, who hasn't been neglected into a place where if you even wanted to ask for help, who would you ask? Even if you wanted to ask for help, who had the confidence and skill to give you help without adding further harm? This has been my life story. Don't get me wrong. I was raised well. I was raised in a very happily married parent household. My parents...

08:08
are two of the most generous and giving people I know. Generous to me, generous to other family members, generous to children in the community. I've watched my father give away cars. I've watched my mother put together programs to make sure that students who didn't have access would be able to take the ACT and pass, who would be able to apply to college and know how to get through that process. My parents are literally two of the most giving people I know.

08:36
but they also have their lived experiences that only gave them a specific set of tools to meet the needs and show up for me, which for sure was a person that was completely foreign to their experience, not only in my independence of thought, my creativity, my gifts, but also just being in adoptee. Most people had no idea how to deal with an adopted child.

09:04
There wasn't even data on the trauma that relinquishment would cause, even if, you know, you were brought into a parent of two house, a two parent household, a stable family. All of that to say, I've reached burnout in a lot of different ways, but the burnout and the chaos of my life in the past two weeks is something I've never experienced before. I was...

09:32
on the verge of blacking out in the middle of a reading, and I had to end it and go lay down. And it took me three days to really come to myself, triggered me into a POTS episode. I was dehydrated. I couldn't stand for a few minutes without feeling dizzy. My business account got over withdrawn $6,000 due to unpaid sales taxes because I haven't been able to afford an accountant to take care of that for me.

09:59
and I am being illegally evicted from my home. And this has all been so incredibly devastating to me. But one of the things that I understand about this moment for myself, and I think it relates to the collective experience of how we are arriving at this new moon solar eclipse in sidereal cancer, is that some of us unfortunately have to be...

10:29
thrown into circumstances where you literally cannot work your way out of it. You cannot strategize your way out of it. You cannot hustle your way out of it. You have to ask for help. And that's where I've been. I have had to ask for help. So many things. The things that I've listed are not even the full extent of what's going on in my life. If you know me personally, you already know how much longer that list is.

10:58
if I've shared it with you, because I haven't even really shared everything that's going on with the people who are closest to me. But revealing the truth of my feelings and needs, what really hit home for me about that is one, there have been people who have been asking how can they show up for me. And as a really hyper independent person, even being asked that question feels like a burden sometimes. And I know that there are people who can relate to that.

11:27
someone asking you what you need or what they can do for you is labor in and of itself. And the reason why it feels that way is because what so many of us were deprived of is the type of attentiveness and pattern recognition that comes from a caring loved one, meaning someone who's able to recognize that there's something wrong, someone who's able to discern based on their intimate knowledge and relationship with you,

11:57
what actually is wrong, and someone who has the capacity to show up and meet that need. That is the specific type of care that so many of us have been deprived of. But in the moment where my account was over withdrawn $6,000, I said, I have to start a GoFundMe. I have to. And I reached out to someone, and they have been more than happy to help me. And the GoFundMe has reached and surpassed its first goal way ahead of schedule.

12:24
and I don't wanna cry because I don't want to mess up my makeup.

12:33
But the simultaneous overwhelm of life getting all chaotic and falling apart at once, and the overwhelming support and expressions of love and acknowledgements that have, you know, people have shared about how my work has impacted them. Woo! Like, I've been laid out on the couch just in this...

13:01
weird contradiction of feeling like the walls are falling on my head, but experiencing and witnessing my community, you, show up and hold me up and let me know that my work has not been in vain and that it's okay to ask for help and that you're there for me and that you will give me money to rest and take care of myself and take care of

13:30
the chaos that is unfolding around me, including having to move 900 miles back to Chicago in a very short notice due to this illegal eviction. So I want to say this, and this is where I'm going to transition to talking about the collective. If you've been listening and holding on thus far, thank you so much.

13:55
the mayor of Baltimore and the mayor of New York City, I think it's Brandon Scott in Baltimore and Zohran Mamdani in New York, have both taken to responding to their constituents request for repairs and various other things on social media. Someone said that there was a huge

14:23
sinkhole and pothole in their block. And before they even got home from work, it was filled. You know, someone said that there was no water fountain or the water fountain was in disrepair and it was taken care of. This is what it means to realize the truth of our feelings and needs, because it is only in someone recognizing our distress, being attentive,

14:51
and responding to it in a timely manner in a way that solves the source of distress, can we actually make the connection that that is a need? And the reason why I know this is true is because we have spent decades at this point

15:12
making, rationalizing the lack of care that we have received as constituents of our governors, our mayors, our legislators, our president. We have worn as a badge of honor our not needing to rely on help from other people, not needing to rely on the money that we pay for taxes.

15:42
to build infrastructure, keep our water clean, pave the streets, provide healthcare, make the food edible and safe. I mean, literally right now, there is a content creator, Jules, I don't know their last name, I believe they're trans woman, who went online and asked for money to get a rotten tooth fixed. And the way that people

16:10
are saying that Jules does not deserve to get money to get their tooth fixed is really so incredibly, incredibly painful to witness for me personally, because I too have an association where if I ask for help, I'm going to be shamed for it. If I show that I'm in need, I'm going to be judged and criticized. And the courage that it takes to show that you're in need,

16:39
To get online and say that you have a rotting tooth in your mouth, I mean, my God, that alone is embarrassing enough. And the way that people are responding is showing why. That in this society, being in need is perceived as a moral failure and a sign of weakness, regardless of what your gender is. Now, of course, with Jules, there's absolutely some transphobia that goes along with this.

17:06
but I really want us to take a moment and understand what this eclipse is really starting for us. In the previous episode, I talked about how this cancer, this series of sidereal cancer transits that's going to peak really, I want to say in July and August of 2027, and it'll slowly taper off after that, but we're really just getting started. I talked about how these sidereal...

17:34
Cancer transits are really this moment where, socialism is actually inevitable. We either adopt socialism or we die.

17:48
We literally must adopt socialism or we will have no clean water. The air will suffocate us and we will all die. We literally adopt socialism or the food will kill us. This is not hyperbole and this is not some future thing that we're waiting to happen. We're in process.

18:17
We are in the process of being killed by the food. The number of contaminations with E. coli and cyclospora and salmonella is actually out of control.

18:38
Puerto Rico is currently rationing water on parts of the island.

18:47
This is not a future possibility, it's happening now. Right?

18:57
As I always say, revolution begins in the body. If you are looking for

19:08
a sign. If you are looking for instructions on what to do, the instructions are in your body.

19:25
The instructions are in your hunger pangs.

19:31
The instructions are in your spiking cortisol levels because you don't know how you're going to pay your electric bill. The instructions for revolution is in the fact that you've got to get on the phone with the insurance company for them to approve of the medication you already have been paying for with your premium each month.

20:03
The revolution is secondarily intellectual.

20:10
The revolution primarily is in revealing the truth of your feelings and your needs to yourself. And this is important because we have been indoctrinated and conditioned to perceive and believe that certain things aren't needs, they're privileges.

20:38
that our feelings aren't facts and they must be disregarded or suppressed or rationalized away. But I want you to know that that's intentional because there is no revolution without rage. Why do you think when you see videos of Fred Hampton speaking or you see videos or hear clips of Malcolm X speaking,

21:04
They are embodying the rage of the oppressed people they speak for. They are embodying the grief of the oppressed people that they ride for. And they are able to influence people because they embody the emotion that has been suppressed by propaganda in the masses. People want to hear what I have to say in the tone that I speak it in, in the cadence that I speak it with.

21:31
because I am reflecting back to you the reality of the emotions that you really feel and should feel based on what you're experiencing right now.

21:41
I'm channeling and embodying for you the rage and the indignation and the grief and the sadness and the hurt and the pain that you're experiencing right now because you are counting your coins to feed yourself.

21:57
Your health insurance premium is so expensive that you can only afford for one person in your household to have health insurance. And even though you have health insurance, you still can't afford to go to the doctor.

22:12
Your electric bill is so incredibly high that you don't know how you're going to pay it. And you're scared and you should be angry. You should be upset because you are being neglected. You are being abandoned in a way that's similar to me in my own personal life. I've always felt the solution was, okay, let me hustle. Let me work harder. Let me create a new product.

22:42
Let me create a new service. Let me go get a job. Let me go get a better job. Let me ask for a raise. Let me get two jobs. Let me get three jobs. Let me hustle. Let me beg for more clients. Let me put a sale on. Let me do all of these things because the power that I have to be taken care of in capitalism is only equal to the labor that I'm able to exert. And so you feel that the solution to your electric

23:11
bill, your solution to your lack of healthcare, the solution to the high grocery prices, the solution to all of the material problems that you are facing is you need a better job and you need more salary and you need to work more, you need more hours, you need another job and a third job and a fourth job and a fifth job. You just have to work and if you work and if you work and if you work and if you work some more, maybe you'll be able to afford to live.

23:38
whole process is meant to make you override the truth of your feelings and needs, which primarily is that you are deserving just because you were born. And whatever this chaotic delusional propaganda that you have been indoctrinated with that makes you feel like you're not worth care. That's what this eclipse series is about. Eclipses mark major cultural shifts. You can look over the course of history and watch the sign pairs.

24:07
where eclipses are happening and see a very, very clear pattern. Eclipses in sidereal cancer and Capricorn always are associated with and coincide with major economic shifts. The last time that we had eclipses in cancer and Capricorn was 2017, 2018, and 2019. And this is when Donald Trump was in office and the economic policies that we are reaping the negative

24:31
outcomes of now were first put in place. The tax cuts that he put in place then are why we're dealing with this nonsense right now. The fact that he was in office then and the fact that he is in office now are connected to the fact that we are in the same sign pair of eclipses. When the revolution in Cuba happened, it was during an eclipse in sidereal cancer and Capricorn. And guess what? We're back in eclipses in sidereal cancer and Capricorn and what's happening?

25:01
The United States government, as they always do, is undermining the free will and self-determination of Cuba. They have cut them off from oil. They're dealing with rolling blackouts. And Cuba is being subject to the economic thumb and violence of the American empire, just like it has since the 1950s, since the early 1900s. And so the reason why is because Cuba has always been the playground of capital.

25:30
where they could go and they can have their casinos and they can have their hotels and they can have their clubs and they can pay the workers there nothing to grow sugar and they can reap all of the benefits and hoard it and hoard it and hoard it and the capitalists never ever got over it. They never got over the fact that Cuba said, yo, we will die for the freedom.

25:53
We will die for self-determination. And the only way through this is not to replicate the economic policies and conditions of our oppressors, but to do something wholly new. When the Castro family took over and became the leaders of the communist revolution in Cuba, the first thing that they did was made their other family members sell off all of their properties because they were so committed to liberation for their people.

26:19
that they weren't going to let their own families and relatives hold on to private property when other people were homeless and starving and didn't have enough to eat. We don't have that type of solidarity with the poor, with the peasants and the working class here. Love Mamdani, love Syed, but there's still capitalists that are benefiting.

26:40
from their class station. I don't see them selling no properties. I don't see them giving up nothing. I don't see any type of sacrifice to stand in solidarity with the working class. Cuba is our example. Cuba is our beacon. Cuba is our light on a shining kill to show us how we overthrow the oppressor. The other thing that Cuba did as soon as the revolution was over was educate and make sure everybody reads.

27:06
Cuba was the only nation that developed their own vaccine for COVID. Cuba has such an advanced medical field that other countries in the Caribbean have relied on the doctors that Cuba produced in order to have healthcare in their country. And over the course of this whole thing where the United States is trying to dominate Cuba once again,

27:32
They have coerced these other Caribbean nations, including Jamaica, to refuse medical help from Cuba. Cuba is the example of the type of economic and cultural and political and social revolutions that happen during sidereal cancer and Capricorn eclipses. And I know you can see it.

27:57
I know you can see it in the way that Mayor Zohran Mamdani has fulfilled every single campaign promise for the most part within the first six months of his term. You can see it because El-Sayed in Michigan and so many other much more left leaning people who are seeking public office are winning and garnering the support.

28:20
But you can also see the way that the status quo of capitalism, imperialism, white supremacy and patriarchy, primarily through the Democratic Party and all of the organizations and PAC that live that lobby on the behalf of Israel are shelling out millions of dollars to prevent this from happening. Why? Because if we have a socialist revolution in this country,

28:46
We will no longer be using our tax dollars to fill the pockets of Lockheed Martin. The gun, the drone, the weapons manufacturers will no longer be the primary recipient of our tax dollars. The trillions of dollars that the Department of Defense has in their budget that they can't even account for. The reason why the Department of Defense gets that, the reason why we're in endless war,

29:15
is because these weapons manufacturers are in the, everybody's in their pockets. Look at the stocks that are held by the legislators in this country. Look at the stocks that are held by the folks in the executive branch of this country and their families. They are holding stocks in data centers. They are holding stocks in weapons manufacturers. Donald Trump has bought more stocks

29:45
in the companies who provide the raw data, I'm sorry, the raw materials for data centers than any other industry. Why? Because those data centers are to surveil us, to watch us, to deprive us from privacy. Why? So that we will not bring about the socialist revolution that we are due for. How do you fight back?

30:12
By using this moment to reveal the truth of my feelings and needs and what that means is when you see somebody asking for help, you don't shame them, you don't judge them, you don't criticize them. You identify with them. You recognize that you are not different because you're literally just one medical catastrophe, a way of having to get online and ask for a GoFundMe to pay your medical bills. You don't have enough insurance to pay for

30:41
a devastating medical catastrophe. You don't, no one does. Without losing all of your money, if you had to stop working, you, you, no, it's gone. That's wrong. What feelings and needs are being revealed to you? What things have you thought were privileges? What things did you think you had to work to deserve for? What things did you feel like you only were going to get?

31:08
If you were in dire needs and devastation, why do you have to work to the bone until you are on the verge of collapse or death before anyone is willing to help you before you are perceived as deserving? If you go back to episode 29, which was for the full moon in sidereal Sagittarius. Let me see here. This was in June, really realizing my beliefs about being

31:37
taken care of. That's, that's what that was. Right. And this has been playing out as an ongoing story and thing because cancer continues to be the most active sign in the sky. The ideal of sidereal cancer is to take my feelings and needs seriously, to have other people take my feelings and needs seriously. The work

32:07
The revolution and liberation in this moment is to take your feelings and needs seriously, no matter how little, no matter how inconsequential they may seem. This is not the time to conceal and maintain your composure. This is not the time to repress and figure out how to work with what you have. This is not the time to strategize and figure out how you can work harder. All of those things uphold empire. All of them.

32:37
every single one of them, this is the time for you to take your feelings and needs seriously. How can we bear witness to the political leadership that is happening in the city of New York right now as a way to illuminate that actually we are not asking for too much. We're not asking for enough.

33:00
Let's pull some cards.

33:03
There's a reframe available for you here. And that reframe looks like I didn't lose my job. I was subjected to rejection and abandonment by an institution who helped me to take care of myself. Then I would look back in your life and say, are there other points in my life where I was rejected?

33:33
and neglected by people who were obligated to take care of me.

33:41
It's time for Advice from The People's Oracle. Today we have a request for advice from Lisa who's writing in from Georgia. Lisa writes, “Hi Dayna, thank you for the work that you do. I have been learning more about myself through sidereal astrology, especially through your framework. I'm in need of a bit of career advice. I was recently let go from a job after nearly a year. Prior to this, I had been unemployed for two years.”

34:09
“The job market is trash, so I decided to buckle down and start laying the groundwork as a freelance medical writer while putting out applications for roles that align with my interests and goals. I know entrepreneurship requires a certain level of boldness, but I'm struggling with a need for privacy as well as my frustration and shame around my lack of employment. I haven't told anyone I lost my job. Your feedback is much appreciated. Thank you.”

34:35
Thank you for your request for advice, Lisa. I'm pleased to take a look at your chart and let you know what I see in terms of relevance to the issues that you're facing right now. I've received a lot of requests for advice around employment, and that's a sign of the times. The employment rate is skyrocketing, particularly for women in the workforce. People are being laid off in the thousands as these companies race to replace workers with AI, of course.

35:04
We know based on the data that many of these companies are regretting letting go of their workforce because AI cannot possibly do the work that humans do, even though the companies would like to sell us the fact that it can. There are some jobs and some tasks that AI or large language models are well suited for, but most really, really, really aren't, at least not right now. So, I hear you saying...

35:34
that you're experiencing a lot of shame around the fact that you've lost your job. And I want to identify a couple of things in your chart that might reflect experiences that lead you to feel shame under these circumstances. First is that you have a few placements in sidereal Leo, including your rising sign. Think of your rising sign as like this embodied lived experience for you that...

36:03
shapes and determines the way that you relate to certain parts of yourself. And so the common experience that I've noticed with sidereal Leo is lack of privacy from a very early age. Privacy can literally mean in this sense, you know, having the door taken off your hinges or having your diary read or being watched in circumstances where you really should be left alone.

36:30
More often than not, this lack of privacy looks like being told who you are and what the most important and valuable thing about you is before you have an opportunity to explore and get to know yourself. Or being told who you are not, being told how you look to other people, how other people will perceive you and judge you and scrutinize you before you have a chance to really develop a sense of self-worth outside of the judgment of other people, including your parents.

36:57
This Leo in your birth chart is tied together with a preponderance of placements in sidereal libra. These sidereal libra placements along with the Capricorn placements actually make you well suited for entrepreneurship. Remember, Leo is this sense that even if it's positive, you've been told who and what you are before you really had a chance to get to know yourself.

37:23
And that identity is something that you've had to live up to and live into. And when you don't, you feel an inordinate amount of shame, like you have here now in your lack of employment and having lost a job. The Libra is really interesting because Libra is this sign of composure and strategy. And what it often means is that you're actually punished for overt expressions of emotions and desire, and you learn to conceal your needs, you learn to conceal what's really going on for you.

37:52
such that it leaves you feeling like no one is noticing. And as a matter of fact, no one is noticing. And so this really sets you up in life for experiences of invisibility, where you could be in deep distress and you're feeling emotionally the weight of what's going on in your body and in your life, but no one can notice. But the reason no one notices is that you've been kind of punished or ignored or neglected into ignoring yourself.

38:20
And so in this situation, I just really want to point out, people think the world runs on Mars and it really, really doesn't. You could be the best, you could be the fastest, you could be the hardest working, you could be the most talented, you could be the most skilled, and none of that equates to material stability, acknowledgement from institutions, and a job. That doesn't, it doesn't manifest. Even in sports, you could be the biggest, baddest, best, and fastest.

38:50
And none of that means that you're going to land in a place where you're acknowledged and validated for your talent. The world actually runs on Venus, and Venus is our connections. Venus is our capacity to conform to the status quo. And that conforming often isn't something that everybody can do. Not everyone can make, you know, people and places feel like you belong. Some people have been given names that alert places

39:20
that they are a foreigner or they're not white or they're not male. Some people have physical appearances that make people judge them before they even have a chance to show what they're capable of and what they know. So I'm saying this because I understand that this Libra has really led to some hardships in your life where in this moment you could really use some support and recognize that maybe this is not a situation where it's a lack of strategy or it's a lack of effort.

39:49
or a lack of discipline or determination, it's really a lack of support. It's a lack of emotional care. It's a lack of emotional attentiveness. I want to applaud you in this moment for naming and recognizing and sitting with the shame that you have around unemployment. And I also want to connect that shame to the way that maybe you have been conditioned to identify your self-worth.

40:15
and to perceive yourself through the eyes of this fact that you are your ability to maintain composure under immense pressure. You are your ability to conceal how you really feel and keep a straight face, even though you may be feeling crushed. This is the moment for you to take off the mask. And I mean that in a lot of different ways. I would ask yourself, I would say, hey, Lisa, in what ways have I...

40:42
been conditioned to conceal my distress and to feel an inordinate amount of shame when I am in a state of need. There's a reframe available for you here, and that reframe looks like, I didn't lose my job.

41:02
I was subjected to rejection and abandonment by an institution who helped me to take care of myself. Then I would look back in your life and say, are there other points in my life where I was rejected and neglected by people who were obligated to take care of me? How did I respond?

41:30
What tools that I have available to deal with that? How am I still relying on those tools in this moment when maybe there actually are people around who would love me and support me and take care of me and have grace for me? I think that's all I have for you today. Thank you so much for writing in, Lisa. If you would like to receive advice from the People's Oracle,

41:56
Go down to the description. There's a link there where you fill out a form and you can ask for advice from me. And maybe on the next episode, you'll be the one receiving advice from the People's Oracle.

42:11
All right, I'm back with my cards to divine and see what insight, wisdom, and guidance is available to us. We look to the tarot and the symbolism of the cards to illuminate for us proper perspectives. How should we see this moment? How should we relate to it? How should we interpret it? We've got the Six of Wands. The Six of Wands is a card that speaks about overcoming.

42:41
This can be overcoming the chaos of lack of direction. This can be overcoming the lack of clear intention. This can be overcoming the lack of clarity around how to move. This can be succeeding in reaching a goal. And that I think this card is speaking to, we already have victories as a reference point on what to build on.

43:10
We have already seen possibilities that organize collective will in a way that benefits the vast majority of people. And we can use that as a reference point for how to direct our energy now to say, are the things that we should be asking for? How should we be asking for them? 2020 includes defund the police, abolish prisons.

43:40
Abolish prisons doesn't mean that we let all of the murderers and rapists free. It means that we create a world where we don't need prisons because people's needs are met, that people aren't subject to the psychological and emotional trauma and material neglect that leads to people filling up prison. It means we live in a society where there is no money to be made from imprisoning people.

44:08
As long as there is money to be made from imprisoning people, prisons will exist and they will continue to create laws that lead to more and more people being imprisoned. Mind you, that's what the data centers are for. The data centers are to watch you and catch you doing anything that could possibly lead to prison because there's money to be made from prisons.

44:35
the George Floyd rebellion, the defund, the police movement, the Black Lives Matter movement, even in all of its flaws, it was a galvanizing force, not just here in America, but all over the world. Everyone was standing in solidarity with black people, right? These are the things that we need to build on. We need to look to New York and we need to look to Baltimore. We need to look to Chicago and Illinois.

45:03
But I bring that up because the six of wands is really saying like, hey, you have some victories to recognize. You have some victories to build on in your personal life. There are times when people have showed up for you, even if it was just in one instance. Your nervous system has a reference point for the type of attentive care that you need to carry you through now. This is a moment to reflect on those moments as victories, as reference points that you can use. How do I get back to that place? How do I get back to that place emotionally?

45:32
where I feel the entitlement to receive care. Go back to the previous episode, episode 30, where I said it's good to be entitled because that's still work that's carrying us through now. Okay, we've got the moon.

45:48
and we've got the Five of Wands. That's really interesting because I really had the Five of Wands in mind as I was thinking about the Six of Wands. The Five of Wands is this card of uncertainty. But in this context, this other meaning of the Five of Wands that I've often used is coming to me, which is that I like to think of the Five of Wands as sport, as sparring.

46:14
as inspiring, it's not really a real fight. It is, you know, you're testing out your skills, you're building up your stamina, you're figuring out what your strategy is gonna be when you actually get in the ring to fight. You're building up your capacity to take punches and to give them out. You're experimenting with angles and footwork and...

46:41
and breath and all of these things. The Five of Wands, I think that's how I want to understand it in this moment, that while we have victories to build upon, while we have personal and collective reference points for what it looks like to take our feelings and needs seriously, for what it feels like to honor the truth of our feelings and our needs, right? The Five of Wands is saying, hey, this is the warm up.

47:11
This is our sparring moment that you're overcoming the internal indoctrination and orientation of your nervous system that makes you feel shame in the face of need, that makes you recoil and conceal in the moments of distress that makes you hide, you know, in these moments where your life is falling apart.

47:42
Right? This five of sorts says, treat this like sparring, treat this like, Hey, this is the time to get your footwork in your orientation together so that when the moment comes for collective action, you're already in good practice. You're already in the practice of noticing when you are, you know, spitting to yourself, internalized narratives that you don't deserve when you

48:12
feel and the shame and you're shaming and judging yourself before you've even asked, right? There is a way that we have to feel the shame and ask anyway. There's a way that we have to build, I think, a shield to protect us from the way other people try to shame us and make us feel undeserving. We have to do that work. We can say, I don't have to feel about myself.

48:41
about my needs the same way that you feel about my needs and about me. You might feel I'm undeserving. You might look at me and judge me. You might talk trash about me. You might turn your nose up at me and say, ugh, I told you so. Mm-hmm, that's why you should have just gotten this job and gone to this place.

49:06
and lived with this thing and broke up with this person. And the list is all long and it's just piling up of all of the bad choices that you made and shouldn't have made to lead to this point where you're in need. And I just want to, want to encourage myself and encourage and minister to you in this moment that that is an overestimation of your power and influence. That is a way that other people are

49:35
coping with the fact that they feel like they've made poor choices. It's a projection. And the reality is that we are all in various states of need because we are being deprived of the dignity of care by this society. No one is going to work their way out of being in need. It's not going to happen.

50:05
Even the capitalist who you look at and envy and maybe even model yourself after or aspire to, who make millions of dollars or even billions of dollars. They're not working for that money. They're stealing it from you. They're pocketing it from your tax dollars. They're not working for it. They're not earning it. They don't deserve it.

50:34
because they're smarter than you, because they have some talent or skill or genius that you don't have. What they have is white skin. What they have is being assigned male at birth. What they have is centuries long entitlement to create a world that we all have to adapt to and live in and conform to. This moon card is a card of uncertainty. It's a card

51:03
where, you know, I always say with the moon, it's like when you walk into a dark room, and even though you've been in the room before, you can't see nothing, so you're kind of feeling your way around, and it requires very careful and delicate steps, because you don't want to stub your toe or knock over the plant or run into the wall. That's what the moon is like. You're in this darkness, you're in this place of uncertainty where you don't quite know where things are, and it can bring up feelings of fear.

51:33
But I think that's really normal. For me, in these instances, the moon is often referring to this way that when you are walking down an emotional path that has been, you know, paved with spikes and thorns of shame to prevent you from moving that way, there's gonna be some uncertainty and fear.

51:58
because you've already been conditioned to see that this path is going to be filled with rejection and neglect. But that rejection and neglect may happen. It is happening. Some people might say no. Some people might say they don't have enough. Some people might judge you. But that is not a statement about the validity of your needs. Right? And again, with the six of wands, we're really

52:27
need to look backwards. This feels like a very Sankofa moment. We need to look backwards at the Cuban revolution. We need to look backwards at 2020. We need to look backwards at the New Deal and say those are victories that we must let inform how we move today. But the Six of Wands is right in the middle. This is not the end. Right?

52:57
Those things are not the ceiling for what we're entitled to, they're the floor of what we're entitled to. Where in your life have you perceived a ceiling of what you're entitled to, which really needs to be the floor? Where in your relationships have you been acting like

53:24
Getting your basic needs met is the ceiling of what you can ask for, the ceiling of what you feel comfortable needing, where it really needs to be the floor. Mayor Mob Donnie is not the ceiling, the penultimate, the peak. It is the floor. It is the baseline. Being able to get your rotten teeth fixed is not the ceiling, it's the floor.

53:52
having the means to house your entire family in the building, shout out to Jools for the “So demure”. That is not the ceiling, that is the floor. But because we are all so conditioned to neglect that we see somebody having a little bit more than us, we see that as a reason why they should not ask for more. And instead it should be a reason why, why do you feel entitled to so much less?

54:25
That's all for today. Thank you for tuning into the Divination for Liberation podcast. I am your host, Dayna Lynn Nuckolls, also known as The People's Oracle. I'll see you in a couple of weeks for the next episode, which will also be an eclipse. I'm actually really excited to talk about this. The next Lunation is a full moon lunar eclipse in Sidereal Aquarius. And what I've written for that is protecting the privacy of my authentic self.

54:52
If you go on my threads, there is a post that I posted today. What is today? August 10th. And I talked about the sidereal Leo transits that we are building through over the next year. Um, and what this means for our privacy, the surveillance state and the police state are really about to explode in a way that we are not ready for. And I really need us to be prepared. Please make sure.

55:21
that you come and tune in for the next episode where I'm going to be talking about this other eclipse series that's wrapping up Sidereal Pisces, I'm sorry, Sidereal Aquarius and Leo. It wraps up in February. And what this has to do with privacy and surveillance, some of the history on Sidereal Leo transits and surveillance technology.

55:48
and what it means for us going forward and how we need to prepare for that. We are in just kind of like these pop-ups of COVID waves all over the states. We're still not in a surge. Levels in transmission are still really, really low. I want to amend my forecast for COVID a little bit. So one of the astrological configurations that I look to to let me know

56:17
what to expect in terms of COVID transmission is the relationship between Mars and Jupiter. And from September onward, Mars and Jupiter will be in their conjunction phase. And because of a Mars retrograde and Jupiter retrograde kind of happening simultaneously, they will be in that conjunction phase

56:47
really through next summer. So for a very long time, which is a little bit abnormal, my overall forecast for COVID remains the same, that in 2026, 2027, and definitely in 2028, we are in a steady decline of transmission. I've always said that I don't think that this means that COVID will go away.

57:16
But I do think that our baseline of transmission will remain a little bit elevated than where it has been previously. You know, the past few months have been the lowest COVID transmission according to wastewater. Since the beginning of the pandemic in 2020 when everyone was staying home, well, not everyone, but most people were staying home and taking precautions to prevent transmission. We're gonna have, I think,

57:45
a little bit of elevated, but the overall astrological conditions, whether I'm looking at sidereal astrology or I'm looking at BaZi, which is Chinese astrology, the overall conditions remain that we are in a period of steady decline. So we're not going to see an Omicron surge or wave like we saw in 2021, 2022. We're not going to see a Delta wave or any of these other really huge waves where

58:14
you know, hospital visits are rapidly increasing, schools are having to shut down even if momentarily because transmission in those spaces is really, really high. I don't think that we're going to see that. My main concern of a time period is November through January, February.

58:38
just because it's mirroring some of the astrology that we experienced in the earlier years of the pandemic. What this means for those of us who still continue to mask in public places, what this means for those of us who pay attention to ventilation and mitigate our risk with care and data, it means just keep doing what you're doing. For everyone else,

59:08
particularly if you live in California, if you live in Texas, central Texas, southeast Texas, southwest Louisiana, there is, you know, relatively low COVID transmission going right now, but it's elevated from where we've been. And so when you start hearing loved ones talk about them being sick, you need to consider the possibility that it's COVID.

59:35
and you need to mask and you need to protect your loved ones and yourself because COVID is still disabling people. It's still giving people long COVID. It's still causing heart failure and heart disease and embolisms and early onset dementia. It's still destroying T cells and it's still causing cancer rates in younger and younger people to skyrocket.

01:00:01
That's all I have for today. This has been a really long episode, but you know, sometimes that's what it takes and I think that's what it takes at this time. Continue to take care of yourself and I'll see you soon. Bye.
