Hello, hi, and welcome or welcome back to the Strategic Magic Podcast. I'm your host Blu, and I'm a business astrologer here to help you use astrology so you can start, grow, and scale your online business.

I can't tell you how excited I am to be sitting down with you today, and more importantly, to be talking into this mic. So to catch you up on where I have been since the last episode, which was published in January, let's do a quick little recap, all right? Little life update, if we will.

So my last published episode was in January. I am a business astrologer, but I also have a day job. I am a flight attendant specifically. And I recently went through a lot of change within my day job.

So I was previously employed with a US-based airline that is no longer with us. I don't talk about my employer. I don't post in uniform. I keep very strict boundaries around that. But since this airline no longer exists, I can talk about it. My previous airline was Spirit Airlines.

So around, the fall of 2025, I learned that I was being furloughed. So I had about a two-month head start, and I knew that I was going to be furloughed from Spirit Airlines by December 1st of 2025. So I hit the ground running because at this point, I'd been flying with them for about two years, and I knew that I wanted to stay in aviation.

So I applied to a bunch of different airlines and went through the process. And if you are not familiar with how aviation goes, it is not a typical 9-5 at all. The interview process is notorious for being very long, very drawn out, and also very, very competitive. So getting that head start was really helpful for me because by the time my furlough had actually happened, I actually had my final interview with my now current airline, and I got my conditional job offer.

So what's unique about aviation as well is that when you are hired, essentially, you don't actually have the job. It's actually a few more months until you do, quote-unquote, "have the job" because you have to go through the training process. And each airline trains you in how to be a flight attendant. And so I attended training, and I essentially was really only home, for about a month, and I started training with my new airline in January.

To be quite honest, I didn't prepare as much as I should have. I honestly wanted to really focus and immerse myself with the training, and so I made the decision to just pause my astrology work. I knew that at that point I couldn't... I wasn't really in a space to give it the attention and the care that I needed to.

And so I just let everything pause. I stopped creating content. I stopped promoting and doing my offers. And, you know, some people may see that as not sound business practice. But I'm not really the kind of person or individual or business owner that feels like it's productive to beat myself up about it.

If I were more focused on productivity, then yeah, sure... I could have really focused on batching and making sure that everything was set. But I really felt called to do this pause. And so, I dedicated a lot of time and energy to focusing on that and get immersed with what I needed to for my now current airline.

So I am officially a flight attendant with them. I passed training in March, actually ironically right before my birthday. So that was really fun. And I also had the opportunity to move back to one of my favorite places in the world, New York City. And so I moved to New York as well.

So I am here full-time, and it's one of those things that is still very surreal for me, the fact that I'm here again.

I'm from the area, so I don't necessarily consider myself to be a transplant. But it is very, very different from the New York that is from my childhood and from my younger years, and even from my 20s.

I'm really, really grateful for the opportunity to do that and just, like, balancing being a flight attendant and getting settled into my new space. I am at a point now where I feel really grounded and supported, and that I can pour back into my astrology work in the way that I wanna show up for it.

So that is a very quick summary of where I've been and what I've been up to. And if you're listening to this episode in real time, this is quite interesting as we're coming off of the heels of the Sagittarius full moon.

Something that came up for me in conversation about this episode, essentially, was in thinking about how even in the most challenging times, even when things don't quite feel like they are going your way or they are navigating in the way that you want to... you are still living a version of your dream.

And so for me, I feel really supported and settled and, most importantly, excited to be coming back to this work and this podcast and showing up in a way that I know works for me, because I am living a version of my dream.

And that feels so surreal to say, because this is not how I pictured where my life would be at this point, at this age, at this stage.

And still, I am living the dream, the thing that teenage me and younger me really wanted to see, and really envisioned for myself. I have a really strong community of friends and family and lovers and people who love me and care for me and support me, and have supported me through all, this entire process and all this change that has happened very quickly.

And some of them are new and some of them have been old relationships that I have had that I've been able to come back into, which has been really nice.

And it's always been a dream of mine to live in New York City specifically. And you know, it may be cheesy and corny, and you know what? Sometimes we need a little of that, okay? We need a little bit of corny. We need a little bit of cheesy because it is like one of the best places to be. And I think that if you're called to be here or any city, right? Accomplishing that dream is a really big deal.

Aviation is an industry that I really fell into. It wasn't necessarily a lifelong dream for me, but being a flight attendant for two years prior, I was at a crossroads point in getting furloughed where I had to make the decision of if I wanted to stay in the industry or not.

And so right now in this stage of my life, it makes a lot of sense for me to be in this industry and to have a day job alongside my astrology work. But I really love being in this industry. I wanna stay in it as long as I can, and I'm really happy with the company that I am currently with, and that's really all I'm gonna say on that.

So it's all that to say, whether you are newer to astrology or not, thinking about the timing of your life and how things come into place and really taking the time to celebrate those moments when they come.

And you know what? That conversation that I had that really sparked this thought also helped me to shape this ethos of what direction I want to take my work. I really wanna lay down the framework and the philosophy that I'm gonna be moving forward with in my work in this episode, and how astrology can be really supportive in helping you to define and shape and create longevity within your work.

So even in the introduction of this episode, I introduce myself as a business astrologer, and I think that's really where the core of my work is. Where it started and where it evolves from is thinking about the ways that astrology is supportive for business specifically. But as I'm thinking about this and how this process has evolved for me over my break, something that's come up quite often is this idea of how astrology intersects with capitalism, specifically late stage capitalism that we're in.

There's so many business practices and things that I ethically and individually and as part of a larger collective do not agree with. And these things have become louder for me over the break.

So specifically when I think about online business and the ways that we traditionally think about it: there's so much pressure to be a content creator; to churn out work at a really unsustainable rate, and to constantly be on; to work in a way that essentially goes against the way that so many of us are designed.

So I know for me specifically, I am someone that really thrives in spaces like this, like this podcast. It is really nourishing for me to be able to turn the camera off, speak into the mic, and talk this idea and fully explain it and not feel this pressure to chop it up and Frankenstein it to fit a particular algorithm, or to fit an attention span, or to fit this mold of what's trending and what makes the most sense for other people to consume.

I really love being able to do that. And then from the listener standpoint as well, it's really nice because it's almost like we're having this conversation on an individual level, and it feels more intimate than any kind of social media scroll can be.

On the other hand, we are reaching this point with online business in general, where it's like people are fed up, right? We're fed up with AI. I know I'm exhausted by it. But there is this change that's beginning to happen, and this craving for moving online business in a different direction, and really reckoning with that, with the fact that we also live in a capitalist society.

And so this relationship to being able to sustain ourselves and to create support around our ability to do this work is really paramount, but to do it in a way that is ethical and supportive with our values and also goes with our nature instead of against it.

And this is really shaping my relationship to even the term of calling myself a business astrologer. I think that this term is still true, but it's evolving more to vocational astrology. And I'm really interested in laying down this groundwork and philosophy and specifically helping business owners to use traditional Hellenistic astrology to build vocation, visibility, and sustainability for your business.

So that's really the paradigm and the framework and the philosophy of this direction that I'm going to be taking this work and the ideas that you can expect to hear me talk about more at length on the podcast, and also write about with my blog as well.

I'm still really going to be centering a lot of my work around the Midheaven - I think that it's still really supportive and helpful. And the Midheaven is such an important placement within the chart. It's my favorite placement. And I think it really is like the beginning stages of building this relationship with your chart in a new way, in a really embodied way.

And when I say embodied, it's less about memorizing the placements and what they mean. Like, yes, that's a part of it. But I think that especially for me showing up as a business and vocational astrologer, it's also important to bridge that gap between how you can take what is on the page and what is within the text and actually live it in real time, really embody that through action, through a living, breathing thing that can take on a life of its own so that it supports you in creating work that truly matters.

And I think that's also where the direction of Online Business is going, essentially, especially from an astrological standpoint. If we're being exhausted with these pathways that are telling us to overproduce and overcreate and, like... this real scarcity mindset, right? The opposite of that, the antithesis of that is to then create from an abundance place, an abundance standpoint, which says essentially that there is room for all of us. There is room for those of us that want to be bloggers, and writers, and filmmakers, and artists, and creators, and people that wanna go against an algorithm, that solely wanna take their time in producing work that truly matters to them and trusting that it's going to reach the people that it needs to reach.

And that that work can be successful and sustainable, and that you are able to create a living from that or even just produce that, right? 'Cause it goes... Vocation goes beyond just your occupation and the work that you do on an individual level and what you do for a paycheck and for money. It is the work that truly matters to you.

And so I wanna really explore these ideas in a deeper framework. And I think that it's a natural evolution to what I've already been building, even with my previous work in teaching about the Midheaven and bridging those gaps.

And so there are a few questions, that I wanna leave you to ponder with in how this new framework can be applied for your own business as well if we're considering this new paradigm to be focused on vocation, visibility, and sustainability.

The first question that really came to mind for me with this is: How does someone build a life's work that is archetypally coherent with who they are?

So what I mean by this is really thinking about how do you create work that is truly meaningful for you in a way that fits the archetype of your midheaven, but is also coherent with who you are outside of that archetype.

'Cause archetypes are really just tools and frameworks that help us to simplify and understand symbols. So when we're thinking about how to embody this, it's taking the archetype and the basis of that, but also aligning it with who you are individually.

So one thing that I think is really helpful for this is considering that essentially when we're talking about this question, the answer is looking at your vocation. Which is pointing to your 10th house and your midheaven, which connects directly back to your legacy. So this is thinking about your work in broad strokes, the overarching view, the macro level view of what are you doing and why does it matter, and what is the impact of it, and what are you committing to long term?

This is the basis of what truly matters when it comes to business astrology and vocational astrology, and this particular philosophy. And really thinking about it from the standpoint: if you are being introduced to this work, it starts with exploring your 10th house, exploring your midheaven, what sign it's in, what house it's in, because the midheaven isn't always in the 10th house, and then connecting to the archetype of your midheaven.

But then we're using that as a spring point to dive deeper in considering what is the work that you do; what is your specific vocation; and how does the midheaven archetype connect to that?

Even the themes of the house that your midheaven is in, how can that also be a supportive role, or how can that play a supportive role in you exploring what that looks like on a deeper level?

And again, looking at your vocation not just as something that is being confused with your occupation, but really looking at it from the perspective of a career. It's something that is going to unfold over a long period of time.

And so if there is no rush, if there is ample abundance and space for you to explore this over time, what does that mean for the work that you're able to explore within your career over time?

So it really begins with your vocation and looking at the 10th house and the midheaven.

The second question that really came to mind with this is how do you become visible without going against your nature?

This is something that comes up so much within client work and something that I'm going to be exploring deeper within my programs, Master Your Midheaven and The Midheaven Method.

But really exploring how you can build a relationship with visibility that goes with your nature instead of against it. So kind of going back to what I was saying earlier in the episode, it is so important that when we're considering how to create this longevity within our work, we're also building out the structures that are supportive of that, and that of course is looking at the 6th house, even the 3rd house as well.

Really designing your business to be supported and structured in a way that works with you, so when you go into the inevitable breaks and times when life is life-ing and you need to step away from your business... you don't feel pressure to do that, and I feel like this break was a real testament for me with that.

So I'll say this, right? Because I spent so much time and energy creating evergreen long form content and also had structures in place through automation, I actually had a lot of visibility and a lot of growth even when I wasn't posting anything or posting very, very little new content. I had daily website visits. I had almost daily email list signups. People are still finding my work. People are still commenting. People are still sharing it. Because I don't rely super heavily on these social media platforms or even short form content, it's very secondary for me and my business.

And that's not to say you need to design your business in the same way, but again, really considering, what is the structure that's going to be most supportive for you so that when these breaks inevitably happen, your business can still run even without you.

So by looking at the 6th house primarily, but then also other placements within your chart, like the 3rd house, it's really building out what that routine and that consistency needs to look like for you within your business in order to go with your nature, and then by extension, allowing visibility to be this thing that evolves whether you are on and present or not.

And so the final question that I wanna leave you with this new philosophy, is how do you create sustainable wealth and authority through right vocation rather than endless performance?

So really considering as we're getting more micro with these questions, getting more and more into I guess what people tend to think about when it comes to business astrology. Getting to answering the question of how do I make money? How do I make money doing this work that I love? How do I create offers and build a business and a practice around this? It starts first with looking at the overarching view of what is your vocation, and then distilling down from there.

So by getting to this piece of it, we already have your vocation in place. We already have your business structures, and now we can just fill in those gaps with the offers, with the marketing, with choosing the right platforms for you, and primarily doing this by structuring your offers and your business design through your 2nd house.

So really looking at what is going to be easiest for you to monetize and create offers and services around, and designing your business to be structured around that. So if it makes the most sense for you to design your offers around this particular thing, let's do that. But the 2nd house is gonna be really supportive in creating not just the opportunity for you to build wealth, but also sustainable wealth and authority within your business.

Because it's not just about getting a paying client today. It's also about creating the structure and the roadmap to keep attracting like-minded clients and right fit clients to your business; creating a marketing structure that is going to work in tandem with the other supportive structures within your business, and help build that vocation again over time.

So you see how everything works together and also lays down this really nice roadmap so it becomes really essentially as simple for you as just showing up for your work and being yourself. It may seem corny, but, it is possible.

And I think that out of all of the tools that are there, astrology is still the most helpful and the most supportive tool to incorporate in building this framework in a way that is both helpful and also as individualistic as it needs to be for making it work for you specifically without creating a new structure and a framework and a process all from scratch.

So I'm really excited for this. I'm excited to not only dive deeper into these ideas with you on the podcast and on my blog, but also to literally work with you inside of my programs to actually do this. And so, if you're interested in working together, I wanna invite you to do just that: to join me in learning more about your midheaven and the archetypes and how you can begin to create that really supportive business structure around your midheaven with Master Your Midheaven.

But if you wanna dive deeper into that and really get into the heart of being really hands-on in designing your business structure and you're designing your business design around your midheaven and these different placements within your chart, then we do that inside the Midheaven Method.

I'm really excited to work with you to dive deeper into this and to bring astrology into your business strategy.
