Isaiah chapter 6, I'm gonna be reading you two different passages of scripture tonight, Isaiah chapter 6 and Acts chapter 2.
Isaiah chapter 6 verse 6 it says, "Then flew one of the seraphim unto me,
having a live coal in his hand which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar.
And he laid it upon my mouth and said, "Lo, this hath touched thy lips, and
Also I heard the voice of the Lord saying,
"Whom shall I send?
"And who will go for us?
"Then said I, hear am I, send me."
And in Acts chapter two, the third verse it said,
"And there appeared unto them cloven tongues
"like as of fire.
"And it sat upon each of them
"and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost
"and began to speak with other tongues
"as the Spirit gave them utterance."
I don't know about you,
But I'm believing tonight that fire is about to fall from heaven, that the Spirit of God is about to meet with you in a tangible way, and that the baptizer is about to walk up and down the aisle,
walk up and down the seats, and that if you came in this house hungry and expecting to be filled with the Holy Spirit, that tonight you're going to walk away filled.
Amen. That if you want in this house tonight and you want more of Him, you say, "I'm tired of the
casual walk. I'm tired of just enough, but I want more. I want an overflow. I want everything that
Jesus has for me. I believe if you want in hungry tonight that the baptizer is about to fill you
with his power, with his anointing, and that he is about to equip you to go and to do everything
that God has called you to do in Jesus name. Father have your way, bless this
Word and change hearts and minds, touch lives and we give you the praise in
Jesus name. Amen. I want to tell you I read Acts chapter 2, yes. I'm just gonna
go ahead and lay out kind of what the sermon is gonna look like so you're not
called off guard. It might get a little rough and rocky and then we're gonna be
smooth sailing for a minute and then we're gonna get to the happy part okay
So just buckle up.
If you decide in the next like five or 10 minutes
that you don't really like this, don't cut me off yet.
Amen.
Don't close your ears yet.
Just listen and wait for the end
because we're going somewhere with this.
Amen.
In Acts chapter two, we hear that the fire of God
falls upon them and he fills them with the Holy Spirit
and that the fire rests upon them
and they begin to speak in other tongues
as the Spirit gives utterance.
But I want you to understand that
before Acts chapter two ever happens,
Jesus and God, they set a standard
that His Spirit is not going to rest upon people,
that there is going to be a standard
that if you are going to carry the fire of God,
you are not going to do so casually,
but that you are going to be marked by that fire,
you are going to be set apart,
and there is going to be a clear difference
between you and the things of this world.
Before Acts chapter two happens,
and his spirit is poured out among the people,
he makes it clear that it's not going to be casually,
it's not going to be circumstantial,
but it is going to be in divine order
after people are gathered together in one mind,
in one accord, in one place,
desperate and hungry for the presence of God.
So I wanna tell you tonight, I know you're young.
I know that this is Winterfest.
I know that it's a youth conference.
I was filled with the Holy Spirit at Winterfest
when I was your age.
I know that you're young,
but I'm gonna preach to you a grown up word
because I know that you can handle it
and because I believe that God desires to do great
and mighty things among your generation.
This is what I wanna tell you young people first.
enough of casual Christianity,
enough with the casual Christianity
that can still enable you to walk with the culture,
to bend with society,
and to still be baptized in the Holy Spirit on Sunday, amen.
Enough of casual Christianity
where we can look like the world and talk like the world.
We can drink like the world and dance like the world.
We can dress like the world and speak like them too.
But then when we get into church on Sunday morning,
we've got the tongs and the shake and the shout.
I wanna tell you enough of a casual walk with Jesus.
Your generation is a generation that God desires
to feel with his power, his oil and his anointing.
And if you will put your hand in the hand of the master,
he will feel you with greater power
and he will empower you to go and to usher in revival
Because greater things are ahead.
Greater things are ahead.
No one's going to carry his fire casually.
I wanna tell you young people in the house of God tonight,
it's time for a healthy fear of the Lord.
It's time for a healthy fear of God.
See, I'm afraid that the pendulum swung.
Amen, too far to one side.
And we went from being too fearful and holier than thou
to where there's no fear and there's no reverence
and anything goes and we don't wanna offend anybody.
It's time for a healthy fear of God to enter back into our hearts.
It's time for us to take up a posture of surrender, a posture of a humble heart that says, "I
recognize that you are not just the Jesus that I talk about on Sunday.
You're not just the man that saved me from my sin, but you are the one that is seated
upon the throne where the angels surround you, where the seraphim are gathered together,
where the angels and the elders are surrounding your throne and declaring, 'Holy, holy, holy.'
It's time for us to understand that He's not just the Jesus
that we talk about.
Here in our youth conferences and our VBS,
but He is the Lion of the tribe of Judah.
He is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.
He is Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the last,
the first, oh my God, the beginning and the end,
the first and the last.
There were none before Him and none will come after Him.
And it is time for us to have a fear
and a reverence for God again.
It's time for us to have a fear and a reverence.
I would say I recognize that you did pay a price.
Amen, anybody know about that price?
I recognize that the cost is going to be costly.
It's going to be heavy that the oil
does not come without a cost.
That I can't walk this thing out casually.
Are there any people in the house tonight
that'll say I'm not even interested
in walking this thing out casually?
I wanna burn with the fire of God.
I want it to be shut up in my bones.
I want my belly to flow in living water.
I wanna be able to open up my mouth
and declare the goodness of God
and watch sickness be healed
and watch demons have to scatter.
Are there any Pentecostal teenagers in the house tonight
that'll say I'm not looking for something casual?
I wanna be set on fire and set apart
for a time such as this.
For a time such as this.
We need a healthy fear of the Lord.
Well, where is that at in the Bible?
Proverbs nine, that's where it is.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom
and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.
Can I tell you that when we get our fear back
in the right place that God's response
and the response of heaven is going to be
the outpouring of revival,
the outpouring of miracle signs and wonders.
I know that we don't have a lot of miracle signs
and wonders churches around, amen.
And some people don't even preach about it anymore.
We've stopped looking for God to move in many places.
But I'm telling you, he said miracles are going to follow.
Miracles are going to follow.
So I'm telling you that when we would get our fear back
in the right place, that the response of heaven
is going to be that miracles, signs,
and wonders will overflow.
My God, if we would get our fear back
and our hearts back in the right place,
the response of heaven would be mighty.
He would shake the foundations again.
We wouldn't be able to walk into his presence
and walk away unchanged if we would get our fear back
in the right place and a reverence for the King again.
When we gather together in his name,
He would walk up and down the avenues of your soul.
When you gather together in his name,
it'll be evident that you spent some time with the king
if we'd get our fear back in the right place.
We gotta understand that he's not just Jesus who saves you,
not just Jesus, lover, comforter, prince of peace,
not just the one that walks with you in the midnight hour,
but we need to understand that he is the king
of all power and authority.
Not only can he save your soul,
but he can rewrite your destiny.
He can change your life.
He can cancel generational curses.
He can clear up the confusion.
He can break off yolks of bondage
and destroy them with his anointing.
Not only is he the Jesus that we sing about
and worship and preach about,
but he is the one that'll break off the yolks
of everything that you have been through.
He is the one that'll take your trauma
and turn it around and use it for your good.
He is the one that will rewrite your story.
He is the one that will force a good seed into bad ground
and use you for his glory and his power.
It doesn't matter who you are or where you come from.
It doesn't matter what is read
throughout generations in the past.
He will use you for his glory
when you understand that he is the only one in this house
that can take you and make you new.
But there's gotta be a fear for him.
There's gotta be a reverence for him.
He's the one that's worshiped by angels.
Demons are afraid of him, tormented even.
They look at him and said,
why did you come to torment us before our time?
A holy God.
A holy God.
If we truly understood the power and the magnitude
of how holy and righteous he is,
the God of all justice, all judgment, all power,
all authority, see we're real easy
at talking about the grace and the goodness
and I preach that too.
We're real easy talking about the comforter
and the way maker, but can I tell you
that he is also the God of judgment.
And that one day we each will stand before him.
That one day we all will stand before him.
And at that time he won't stand before you as comforter.
At that time he won't stand before you as your way maker
and the one that is knocking on the doors of your soul.
At that time he is going to stand before you
as the God of judgment and justice.
And it'll be inter-ed or depart.
And see, I'm afraid that we're not preaching it
like we should.
And there are young people that are thinking,
I've got my free ticket.
I'm on the way to heaven and I'm doing this thing.
I've got one foot in the church and one foot in the world.
And I wanna tell you that he deserves more.
He's a faithful God and he deserves faithful people.
He's a faithful master that in the middle of the night,
he can show up and turn everything around.
That when you were in a valley and then appeared,
he was faithful to rescue you.
That when nobody else knew,
and mama and daddy didn't have a clue,
He didn't let you get too lost and too lonely.
Not only is he way maker, but he's the God of judgment.
And he's looking at his sons and daughters
and he's calling you to more.
Oh, I know it's a difficult word.
I told you it's gonna be rocky, but bear with me.
We're gonna get to the fun part in a second.
There's gotta be a fear.
There's gotta be a reverence, a respect even.
A respect even that I'm gonna walk like you.
I'm gonna be holy. See, we really don't talk about holiness.
I don't mean holy where you can't, I got my fake eyelashes on in my earrings tonight and I ain't preaching without them.
I don't mean holiness
that you gotta live and abide by man's rules and I ain't even gonna get into that.
That's not the holiness I'm talking about. I'm talking about holy like he is holy.
Abiding in the father as he abides in you.
I'm talking about being so filled with the spirit of God that he would clean up your language and clean up your desires.
and that that carnal flesh will burn upon an altar
and you will pick up a cross in its place.
See, holiness is not judgment and wrath.
Holiness is not going to keep you from God.
Holiness is not the thing that says you're not good enough
and you cannot enter in.
Holiness is not the thing that says you'll never be worthy
of his love.
Holiness is the thing that when you fall in love with Jesus,
you will walk like him.
You will be one with him.
Holiness is the thing where you will desire
to live in communion with him.
And I'm afraid that we're raising up a generation
young people who don't want anything to do with holiness because somebody judged you and wrote
you off but I want to tell you holiness is still the standard and God is looking for some young
people who can carry holiness and the fire of God and who can trail the path and go forward in His
glory. Holy holiness is the thing that's going to drive you to Him. Holiness is what's going to allow
you to walk in the power and the anointing of God. I want to tell you it
doesn't put you away from him but it invites you and it transforms you.
First Peter he says be holy because I am holy. I want to tell you and here's where
I'm gonna get to the good part. When we lose sight of him and when we lose sight
of who he is and we lose sight of the fear and the reverence of God we treat
what is sacred as something that is casual. We treat what is sacred as
as something that is casual.
And then we expect a big God to move in big ways,
but we say you don't move like you used to.
And he's looking and saying,
my people have grown too casual.
You used to look at the church and decipher
what was the church and what was the world.
You used to be able to look at the church
and see clearly who loved Jesus and who does not.
When you lose fear and reverence for God,
you'll take what is sacred,
and you will treat it as something that is casual.
And I came about to tell a house full of teenagers tonight
that it is time for you to kick casual to the side
and to understand that we are dealing with a sacred,
all sufficient, all powerful God
with a very real calling and a very real anointing
upon your life that the Holy Spirit,
he came to empower you.
He said, "It is better for you that I go away
because I am going to send one who will empower you.
Can I tell you that the Holy Ghost has not gone anywhere?
The Holy Ghost is here in this house tonight.
He's ready to fill you with a spirit.
He's ready to baptize you with fire
and he's ready to equip you to go
and to do what God has called you to do.
Don't treat him as something that's casual.
The fear of the Lord is in display
all throughout the word of God.
You look at Isaiah, I read the scripture to you.
Isaiah, King Isaiah has just died.
And Isaiah, a prophet,
a prophet to the nation of Israel is raised up.
The king has just died and Isaiah is given a vision of God,
seated upon the throne.
And I want you to look, if you don't know the scripture,
I'm gonna break it down very, very quickly for you.
He's given a vision and God is seated upon the throne
and the seraph of our surrounding him
and they're declaring holy, holy, holy.
And in that moment, Isaiah does not look and say,
oh, how great, how powerful of me
that I'm worthy of seeing this vision.
He doesn't declare how annoyed tonight I am.
Let me catch this for TikTok.
Let me post it on Facebook that God is visiting with me
and I know something you don't know, amen?
In that moment, he says, woe is me for I'm unclean.
Because when the Spirit of God and the presence of God
revealed to Isaiah. It is a direct wake-up of reverence and fear and he
understands he is a holy God and I thought I was a prophet, I thought I was
holy but I'm very small in the sight of the king. Woe is me because all of a
sudden I understand that I'm no match, all of a sudden I understand that I'm not
worthy. Woe is me because all of a sudden there's fear and there's reverence
entering in. He didn't boast about the vision of God but it humbled him and it
says in your word that they took a call that was placed upon the altar and they
placed it upon his lips because when you begin to have fear and reverence for God
you're gonna be marked by the fire and you're going to be transformed. He took
the fire and he placed it upon his lips. You better hear me young people. See I
came to break down so many things that you may have been told and preached to.
He didn't say I love you enough I'm gonna leave you where you're at. You know
What Isaiah, actually you're good buddy, go on.
Go on, you're fine.
No, no, no, they took the coal
and they placed it upon his mouth
because when God really walks with you
and you walk with him, when you abide in him
and he abides in you, he is going to mark you
by his power and his anointing.
And it is going to be clear that you have spent some time
in the presence of the king.
They take the coal and they place it upon his mouth.
And in that moment he is purified and he is cleansed
and there is a transformation
that begins on the inside of Isaiah.
And he's looking at the king saying, "Whom shall I stand?"
And all of a sudden, see, he's been marked by the fire
and he makes a declaration that you can send me.
If you're gonna send somebody, you can send me
because I'm marked by fire.
I'm marked by the power and the anointing of God.
Young people, can I tell you that the king
is looking for people to see it?
He's looking for teenagers that'll go into your school system
that'll lay hands on people,
that'll pray and usher in revival,
that'll lay hands on your teachers and the staff.
He's looking for people that are your age
that'll say you can send me.
I don't care what society says.
I will not bow, I will not bend, I will not waver.
If you wanna send somebody, you can send me.
I'm not trying to do this thing casually.
I wanna go with the fire and with the anointing
of the most high.
He says, "You can send me," because he was marked by fire.
He was transformed.
And in that moment he's commissioned to go,
you got Moses tending to sheep on Mount Sinai.
Something that looks so meaningless, just tending to sheep.
Oh, Mount Sinai, a bush begins to burn,
but it is not consumed, you know the scripture.
A bush begins to burn, but it is not consumed.
And in that moment, the Spirit of God
begins to speak to Moses, He says,
"Moses, take off your shoes, take off your shoes,
because the place where each of you
are standing is holy ground."
See, in that time, those shoes protected the feet,
protected them.
He said, "Take it off, take off that barrier, Moses.
What is standing between me and you?
Take it off.
Take it off because you're standing on holy ground.
The ground isn't holy because the ground is good.
The ground is holy because I'm a good God.
The ground isn't holy
because it's a special plot of territory and land.
The ground is holy because I'm a holy God.
And he says, "Moses, I want you to take off your shoes
because the place where you are standing is holy
and the fire is burning, but the bush is not consumed
because Moses, I need you to understand
that you can burn and not be consumed and not be destroyed.
You can carry the fire of God everywhere that you go
and you'll walk away and not smell like smoke.
He said, you're standing on holy ground.
Do you know everything?
Y'all, we'd be here all night
if we talk about everything that Moses did
throughout scripture.
But he commissioned him to go in that moment.
He marked him so much so
that Moses looks at him later in the book of Exodus
and he says, "If your spirit is not there,
"it's not my promise.
"If your spirit is not going with me, I'm not going.
"Do not send us up from this place.
"If your spirit is not going to go there, I don't want it."
Young people, I want you to hear my heart tonight.
Where's the heart for Jesus?
That I want the miracle worker,
more than I want the miracle.
I want the blesser, more than I want the blessing.
That's not my promised land if your spirit is not there.
And if you're not going with me,
don't raise us up from this place and send us.
Because if you're not going, I don't want it.
Because I'm not marked by the things of this world.
And I'm not carrying the satisfaction of my flesh.
I'm marked by fire and oil,
and I'm not interested in going
where you are not going with me.
Are there any young people in the house tonight
that'll say I'm not going?
If you're not going with me, it's not my promise.
It's not my destiny.
I'll take your spirit over the promised land in Jesus name.
Hear my heart.
Hear my heart.
'Cause I know Christianity can seem very popular
and trendy, especially now.
Let's just be real, amen.
No need to fake it.
Can be very popular and trendy.
It's a stage, a lot of times, a microphone,
a lot of times, venues, people, checks.
But can I tell you real ministry happens
when nobody sees it?
Ministry is holding somebody when you get no reward.
Real ministry is never touching a microphone
and never being seen.
Real ministry is answering the call in a back room
in a secret place and saying, God, I don't want any of it.
If I cannot have you and if you're not going with me,
it's not my place.
Real ministry is a desire for the Father to move.
Real ministry is the desire and the will of God
that no man should perish.
And I wanna ask you tonight,
am I in the house with some young people
who will say you can send me, but I understand.
I'm not going after a pulpit or a platform or a microphone.
I'm not going after a title or a position.
I want you to send me and fire and anointing.
I want you to send me to make a difference.
If it's in a back alley or a grocery store,
if it's in my schoolhouse or where I work,
you can send me and mark me with your fire.
That if you don't go, I'm not going
'cause it's not my promise.
The fire didn't destroy Moses, it set him apart.
It marked him as a deliverer.
He went and delivered the people of God.
God used him greatly and mightily,
but it started with him being marked by the fire.
Saul on the road to Damascus.
Saul, a light from heaven shone brightly.
The Lord looked down and saw, he spoke,
"Why are you persecuting me?"
It was a direct question.
I need you to hear me.
It wasn't an angel of the Lord saying,
why are you persecuting God? Why? Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me? If you don't know who
Saul is, he was a hunter, killing people of God, destroying houses of worship and people that would
worship the king. And he looks and he says, Saul, why are you persecuting me? He didn't say, Saul,
why are you persecuting them? Why are you persecuting me? Because he takes it
personal. He takes it personal that when the enemy raises up against you that
your father is faithful and he is a just God and he will set up a standard and a
shield. I had your protection and he will protect you so much so that he looks
down at him and he says, "Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?" And in that moment
Saul says, "Lord, what would you have me to do? I need you to hear me." That's where
reverence comes in. That's where fear comes in because he doesn't say, "Can
you prove to me real quick? Can you confirm it 13 times and tell my
spiritual father? Oh let's be real. I thought I heard the Lord speak but can
you, I'm gonna need confirmation when I open up Facebook if it's confirming it
I'll believe that I heard from you. I'm gonna flip open my Bible and if it's a
direct verse, a verse that ain't even in the word but I don't know any better, I'll
take it as a confirmation from you. Immediately, so, so why are you
persecuting me, Lord, what would you have me to do?
A fear and a reverence for God overtook him, Lord.
He calls him Lord in that scripture.
Lord, all power, all authority, King,
I need you to tell me what to do
because I recognize power and anointing.
I recognize the authority and whatever you tell me to do,
I'm gonna walk away from the road of Damascus,
change forevermore.
He walked away and he was blinded.
And if you don't know the scripture of Saul,
can I tell you that he turned into Paul
that God took somebody that was a hunter and a killer and a persecutor of the people of God
and he used him to plant churches and he used him to build up people of God. Let me tell you young
people, I don't care what your story has been up until this point. I don't care what mama and daddy
did and who your grandma and your grandpa are. I don't care if you want raised church or God or
Pentecostal. He will take you. He will transform you. He'll turn your soul into Paul. He'll use
you for the glory of God when you're marked by the fire he will change your destiny.
They said I'd never make it they don't have the final say he who the sun sets free is free indeed
you go about what God tells you to do. They said I'd never be anything you don't have to walk under
that identity and that label for the rest of your life. There is one king of power truth and authority
and what he says over you and what he speaks over you his word will go forward as he wills it and
and it will not return unto him void.
And I'm looking at some young people tonight in Missouri
that God is looking at you and he's calling out preachers.
He's calling out pastors.
He's raising up worship leaders and teachers.
He's raising up visionaries.
He's raising up intercessors.
He's raising up some young people
that'll be marked by the fire
who will go forward in the will of God.
He takes on, he changes him and he transforms him.
Lord, what shall I do?
There's reverence and there's fear.
The fire marked him with surrender and with purpose.
Can I tell you that the fear of God
will still transform you today?
It's time for fear.
It's time for reverence.
I don't mean fear in the fact that he's scary,
I mean where is the respect for the king?
That you have the power to speak it and things happen.
Hey man, do you remember the scripture
Jesus is on the boat, he's asleep,
and they're wrestling the waves and they're terrified,
and they go and they wake him,
And they say, "Master, do you not care that we perish?
And he looks at him, he comes to see,
he tells it to stop, and all of a sudden they look,
and they say, "What manner of man is this?
Hold up, because we thought that the storm
was the scariest thing out here.
We thought that death and the unknown were terrifying.
But what manner of man is this,
that even the winds and the waves obey him,
we got this thing twisted
because we were afraid of the storm,
We were afraid of the water that was raging.
We were afraid of what was outside of the boat.
But all of a sudden we understand
that there is one that is more powerful,
who carries all dominion,
that when he opens up his mouth and speaks,
that everything must obey.
I need you to understand me in the house tonight,
that when you get the reverence of God
and the all of the Father back in your heart,
that the miracles will follow,
that the signs will follow,
that you will be marked by the fire of God.
And when you are marked by the fire,
You don't walk away the same.
You don't walk away with the same desires.
You don't walk away talking like you used to talk.
When you are marked by the fire of God,
you will walk away transformed from within
and you will be holy because he is a holy God.
When you're marked by the fire, Acts two.
And there appeared unto them cloven tongues
like as a fire and it sat upon each of them.
And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost
and they began to speak with other tongues
Spirit gave them utterance.
Can I tell you before Acts two, they waited, they prayed,
they surrendered, they feared losing the presence of God.
And then the fire comes.
Not to entertain, not to excite them,
not to stay contained within the house,
but to empower them to go and to do.
And Peter who once trembled, Peter,
That same Peter that was afraid, that same man in denial
walked away and he preached the word of God
and 3,000 people were saved because of the Holy Ghost
and fire.
Why am I preaching you this word tonight?
Because I believe that the spirit of God is in this room
and that there are some teenagers in this house
and he desires to mark you with this fire.
That when you go forward and you open up your mouth,
it won't be your mouth,
but he will put his word on the inside of you
and that when you open up your mouth,
the spirit of God will go before you
and that his word will overflow out of you.
That you would open up your mouth
and rivers of living water would flow forward,
that he would look at you
and he would use you to declare the word behold,
I'm doing a new thing,
that he would look at your generation,
can I tell you, I know what the status says,
I know what the report of the enemy says,
but I choose to stand upon the report of the Lord
and I know that your generation
is not a lost generation.
I knew that your generation will not be lost
to sexual confusion or perversion.
I dare the enemy to think that he's going to win this thing.
I declare over your generation,
you're not going to be lost to alcoholism and drug abuse.
You will not be lost to confusion or complacency,
but your generation is about to burn with the fire of God.
And the Holy Spirit is about to empower
equip you to go forward in Jesus name. You will not be lost but you are a chosen
generation. Royal priests are set apart for a time such as this. See if you look
at Isaiah he'll show you that fire will cleanse you, fire will purify you.
Moses shows us that the fire of God will call you and send you. Saul shows us that
the fire of God will transform and convert and redirect you. Can I tell you
you can't do it without the fire? Let me just be real honest. Please don't fire me.
There's a lot of people out there that'll do it without fire. There's a lot
of people that'll preach just because they know that they sound good.
Eloquent in speech. There are a lot of people out there that can preach you an
amazing sermon and there's no fire. And so people are walking in and they're
walking out and they're not transformed. Young people, teenagers, your generation
you're walking in hungry and you're walking out hungry. And this is the
generation that is not satisfied with the smoke and you can tell what is real
and what is not and you're desperate for something that is real. This is the
generation that says I want to see Jesus not the performance not the show. I don't
want to see what you know about him I want to see him. I don't want to hear
about what he did for you and generations past I want to see him I want
I want to meet him, I want to encounter his spirit.
There's too many people out there
that are doing it without the fire.
The Holy Spirit hasn't gone anywhere.
And he's not for one party.
He's not for one denomination.
He came to empower the people of God.
You cannot do it without the fire.
There's enough of that.
Can I tell you that we are too close
to the coming of the Lord?
I know we've heard it,
but can I tell you we're a lot closer today
than we were yesterday.
And we're a lot closer this year than we were last year.
And can I tell you that soon and very soon,
he's gonna split the sky and he's returning for his people.
And I know that you are young,
but do not let people despise your youth.
You are called for a time such as this.
And there is a work that you can do.
I stepped in as the lead pastor of a church at 25 years old.
I know that you may feel young and unequipped in this house,
but the fire of God is all that you need
to empower you and to equip you
and everything else will come.
He will go before you and prepare the table
in the presence of your enemies.
He will protect you, he will lead you, he will guide you,
but you gotta start with the fire of God.
You gotta be filled with the fire.
We can't do it without his fire.
Acts two shows us that the fire will fill you
and empower you.
The same God that looked at Moses and said,
take off your shoes, you're on holy ground,
is the very same God that released spirit
and tongues of fire.
Can I tell you that the baptism of the Holy Spirit
is not hype?
It's not hype, it's not trendy.
Reverence, the Lord if you'll baptize me in your spirit,
I won't take it for granted.
Then if you will baptize me in your spirit,
I will walk uprightly, not perfect.
Oh, I know we're not perfect, but He did set you apart.
The baptism of the Holy Spirit is available for you
in this house tonight.
If you'll come and you'll begin to play.
See, Moses came down glowing.
Isaiah left commission ready to go.
Saul left preaching.
Peter walked away bold.
Because can I tell you that when the Spirit of God baptizes you,
you don't just shout.
Listen, I come from South Georgia, a Pentecostal church,
Holy Ghost field.
But can I tell you when the Spirit of God baptizes you,
you will not just shout.
You won't be able to be mean to people like you used to be able
to be.
Then when the Spirit of God baptizes you and anoints you,
it's not just that you're going to speak in tongues,
You're gonna walk differently.
You're going to have the heart of the father.
You're going to love his people and his children.
It's not hype, but you will walk away
and you will be changed forevermore.
Can I tell you that he's in the house tonight?
And I believe that it is the desire of the father
for fire to fall, for heaven to invade earth,
and for the people in this room
to be filled with the fire and the Spirit of God.
Because if you're going to go forward
and you're going to do it,
you cannot do it in your flesh,
I would have lost my mind.
I would have dipped down,
I would have been straight crazy
if the Holy Spirit had not dwelled with me.
That every time that I wanted to quit
and throw in the towel, it was not my flesh.
It wasn't me.
I wasn't able to lay hands and just say,
Brittany, you got this, get it together.
Every time that I was ready to throw in the towel
and every time I thought that I was going to sink,
it was the Spirit of God that would raise up
on the inside of me that would say,
you gotta go a little bit further.
You gotta go a little bit more.
There's more for you to do.
You do not get to quit.
It was the Spirit of God.
That's what he means when he says
that he's going to empower you.
If you could do it in your flesh,
you wouldn't need the Spirit,
but can I tell you, you cannot do this thing without him.
And it is time for people to understand
that we need the Holy Spirit again.
Can I tell you your church needs the Holy Spirit?
Let me tell you, I'll just be the one to say it
and I'll say sorry before, let's put a disclaimer on it.
But if you are meeting in the house of God on Sundays
and the Holy Spirit is not allowed in your house,
find a new church.
Find a place where the Spirit of God can dwell
because it is his anointing that'll break off yokes.
It is his anointing that'll cause a drug addict
walk in addicted and bound and to walk out free and delivered and it is still
his anointing that is still working miracles today. Well I don't know if it
works like that you ain't seen him move yet he still works like that. It is the
Holy Spirit that will allow alters to be filled with young people even adults who
are bound with anxiety and depression and suicidal thoughts. It is the Holy
spirit that will demolish and break off that yoke and that will release you and
allow you to walk in freedom you cannot do it without the Holy Spirit it is the
Holy Spirit that will draw people in that are hungry who don't know church
who do not know what church is supposed to look like who do not understand what
the flow of the spirit is supposed to look like people that are just hungry
and saying I just want to see Jesus it is the Holy Spirit that will draw them
in and who will feed them. It's the Holy Spirit that's going to draw in
prodigals. The prodigals will be changed forevermore. You cannot do it without the
Holy Spirit. It's the Holy Spirit that will cause you to walk differently and to
live differently. And in Matthew 3 and 11 this is what he says, "He will baptize
you with the Holy Spirit and fire. Anybody ever been around a fire? You can
feel the heat. You're very much aware that there is a fire there. You can see
the flame. You can feel it and if you listen you can hear the crackling. It is
very evident that there is a fire. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.
It's time for a generation of people who will rise up and say I'm not interested in casual
Christianity and I'm not interested in being a closeted Christian but I desire for you to
baptize me in your Holy Spirit and fire. That when they see me they'll see you.
That when I open up my mouth they will hear you. That when I enter into a room
and a building that the atmosphere will shift and that they would feel the
presence of Jesus. I want the fire. There are many young people in the house tonight
that want the fire. I want you to stand with me all over this house.
Thank you, Jesus.
Thank you, Jesus.
Thank you, Jesus.
[ Inaudible ]
My God.
Jesus.
You ready for Jesus?
Can I tell you what's getting ready to happen
and I don't mean even just to nod.
You're about to see an insurgence and invasion
of the spirit of God.
He's about to take back over pulpits.
I mentioned that people are doing it without the fire of God.
I'm not gloating and that.
I'm not boasting and that it doesn't, it shouldn't make your heart happy to say that.
But I say that to say that there's about to be an invasion of his people.
He's about to move back in to hearts that have been hardened.
It's people that have gotten used to doing this without him.
looking for new wineskins who are hungry and who are ready for the real.
I want you to stretch your hands all over this house if you're hungry for Jesus, Lord.
Father, we want your fire.
Oh God that you would baptize us in your Holy Spirit and fire.
God that we would be marked and transformed and changed forevermore by your fire.
God that we would not walk out and be able to walk casually.
Lord there's a standard for carrying your fire.
There is a standard for operating in the anointing and the power of God and Lord we cannot do
without the anointing and the power of God. We cannot do it without your fire
and without your spirit and so to not father. Lord as you are in this house I
ask and I pray that fire would begin to fall from heaven God that you would rest
upon hearts that are hungry. Lord that as you looked at your people in the book of
Exodus and you said that I will fill you according to your hunger according to
your portion. Lord those that are hungry God let them walk away full. Those that
are thirsty for you God let them walk away satisfied. Let them walk away
overflowing. God I ask that your spirit would begin to manifest in this house.
God that your anointing would take over. Lord that we're not any on any other
agenda but yours. And Father in this house tonight God that lives are about
to be marked by your fire. God that you are about to equip and you are about to
commission that we are walking out changed and filled with your
spirit. And Lord, we worship you all over this house. And we ask
that you would do what only you can do that the baptizer would
enter into the building that the baptizer would begin to touch
harsh that the baptizer would begin to pour out your oil again.
Lord that your glory would sweep through this building. Oh Lord,
that your glory would begin to change the atmosphere. Are there
youth pastors, young adult pastors in the house tonight. You need to be interceding
for your teenagers like never before that the tangible spirit of God would
begin to minister to them on this altar that they would walk away transformed
and marred by the fire of God. There's enough young people in this house. You
can save your city, your region, your school. It's time to do it with the fire.
worship Him, worship Him.
Jesus, fill us with your spirit, Jesus.
Thank you, Jesus.
