Welcome back to the Alighted Way. If you are enjoying the Dragon Stories, please consider subscribing, rating, and reviewing. We truly appreciate your support. We are going to jump from the frying pan straight into the flames of a different fire in this next episode, as Janelle and Colleen have a chit chat and delve deeper into another dragon line in England and how Janelle explores and works with the energy at sacred sites along this path, this show is about pushing limits into the unknown, discovering who we really are, and celebrating the moments that make us feel alive. So let's get into it.
Colleen 0:58
Welcome back, everyone. I'm here with Janelle, and if you just listened to episode 15, you know we have a lot to unpack. Janelle, before we dive in, what is still sitting with you from recording that episode?
Janelle 1:11
Well, I was thinking about that actually, because the travel part stays with you. Like when you travel to the sacred sites, when you bring them up in your memory, it's like you were just there, you know, experiencing the the spots and the energies, and so it just brings me right back.
Colleen 1:33
Oh, that's great! You get that opportunity to do that a few times, eh? With the episodes that you share with your experiences and the research you've done. That's great. Well, let's get started with our little chit chat. So, for those of you who are just joining us, Janelle and I usually do a little chit chat after episodes where she's gone through something and sharing her insight and her research on a particular subject, and so today we're dealing with a lot of European sites. And so, what I'm going to start with, the first question I'm going to ask you is: You described going from toe tipping in Ireland to immersing yourself up to your thighs in England. What shifted in you between those two trips that made you ready to go deeper?
Janelle 2:26
I mean, you were in Ireland with me, and so like it was on its own. Ireland was a fantastical trip full of lots of things, and so I wanted to just explore, start to explore the line. It felt like I actually got to experience more of the, you know, sit your butt down at some of the sites and have more of that total immersive experience with the line in England versus Ireland,
Colleen 3:04
Right? Because we didn't quite get to the line in Ireland.
Janelle 3:08
We did not. We got close.
Colleen 3:10
We got very close. One day, Janelle. One day. Yes. Yes. Water separated us,
Janelle 3:17
Water separated us and no boats would take us.
Colleen 3:22
I know, I know. Well, well, we'll get there next time. We'll get there next time. Talking about the lines themselves, the Michael Mary line weaves masculine and feminine energy together across approximately 350 miles. Do you feel like the crossing points where they meet have a noticeably different energy than the individual lines on their own.
Janelle 3:45
Yes, absolutely.
Colleen 3:47
And what does that feel like?
Janelle 3:48
It's like the unifying of the masculine, feminine into this almost this incredible balanced energy within some of these spaces. If you experience some of the lines on your own, like in Glastonbury, you could hang out at the tour, which is for you know Archangel Michael. I truly loved where they crossed over. It it's a totally different kind of energy there. It's it's sort of like almost I want to say futuristic, like of of how masculine and feminine energies can be balanced in a very harmonious, very supporting way.
Colleen 4:33
Interesting way to put that, yeah. And considering these are very old lines being talked about over the centuries, and to think that that's futuristic, I think that's an interesting take on that. Do you want to expand on that just a little more?
Janelle 4:48
Yeah, they're still they're very much relevant to Mother Earth and her sort of evolutionary path. In all of this, as supporting characters or supporting energies for her to evolve and go where Mother Earth needs to go.
Colleen 5:12
Yeah on the bigger, the way bigger picture. Yes,
Janelle 5:16
yeah, definitely bigger picture, bird's eye view. Yeah,
Colleen 5:20
there's also the Saint Michael's Mount, where you where both the Michael Apollo line and the Michael Mary line connect. So we're moving along here. When you were standing there, could you actually sense that it held those two particular lines? And what did that feel like? I'm thinking that each of these lines have their own kind of energy, of course, and that they are doing something in that area, in that space.
Janelle 5:48
Yes, yeah.
Colleen 5:49
What's that feel like?
Janelle 5:50
Definitely, like at Saint Michael's Mount. That's in Cornwall, so that's southern England. So that's sort of like after Skellig Michael, it's the next big place for the energies to come across the land onto at Saint Michael's Mound. I only had one day there. I spent most of the day like it was like a contemplation and an experiencing of the energies there. I mean, I was just I truly loved Saint Michael's Mount. I could feel the archangel's energy there still, which is interesting. Sort of like when I went to India, and I could feel Buddha's energy at Bodh Gaya, which is where he became enlightened. So there was like residual energy there. It was sort of like that, where the guide was basically saying Buddha, when he was traveling, people could feel his energy from miles away before he actually arrived.
Colleen 6:55
Right,
Janelle 6:56
and and so when the tour guide said that we hadn't gone to Bodh Gaya yet, and so I was like, "Huh, I don't know about that, you know. But so then I get to Bodh Gaya, and it's like this wall of energy hit me of Buddha's energy, and I went, "Whoa, okay,
Colleen 7:14
Yes, well, this is similar at St. Michael's Mound, hey? Yeah, okay.
Janelle 7:19
St. Michael's energy is very strong there,
Colleen 7:23
and what does that feel like? Like, describe it to me. How does that? Is it full of love? Is it full of? I don't know. I like.
Janelle 7:32
Yeah.
Colleen 7:33
How would you put that into words?
Janelle 7:36
For me personally, when I ask Archangel Michael for help, for protection for whatever. I tend to experience him in sort of like color frequencies of royal blue that sort of come in and around me, and sometimes I'll see a vision of him as a warrior angel. Sometimes, but most of the time it's his color frequency comes in and sort of surrounds me when I'm at a a space that he's had lots of time to be around and be in.
Colleen 8:15
So, oh, that's very that must have been so nice for you then at St. Michael's Mound. That's great,
Janelle 8:22
yeah. Because he's Archangel Michael's like a big part of my life. I would say, like he, when I've asked for help, he's he's helped, and so it feels like we have a good relationship with each other. You know, like
Colleen 8:37
great.
Janelle 8:38
I feel very supported by him.
Colleen 8:41
Yeah, that's right. If you have a relationship with your guides, that it makes a world of difference. Even just a little ask, you know, can can just start that start that relationship. But now we're going to move on to Cadbury Castle, and that's where you said it gave you a real sense of Authurian energy. For listeners who are skeptical, how would you describe what it means to feel energy at a place like that?
Janelle 9:12
When you go into a space, you sort of know what your energies feel like, and when there's negative energies in a space, you know, like let's say there's been a fight, so some people can actually really feel that when they come into a room. Like if there's been a big fight, they're like, "Ooh, could cut the tension with a knife. That's right. Yeah, yeah. Like you can totally feel the energy. Yeah, and so it's no different at some of these places. One of the more interesting places I went to was Merlin's Cave.
Colleen 9:44
Right,
Janelle 9:45
I go in. I had no expectations of what may happen or what may you know it may all look like or feel like, and it was really busy. There was lots of tourists. There was, like, there was no place for me to contemplate. In stillness, or because silence in silence and stillness, and so there was a voice. I tend to hear voices a lot. Sometimes I see stuff, but mostly it's voices, you know. And so the voice was like, "You need to come back later, like almost at closing time.
Colleen 10:19
Okay,
Janelle 10:20
and I went okay. My friend and I went back to the cave, and sort of had just this experience, sort of like if you need to know things, then things are sort of like downloaded into you of of what you might need to know for the rest of the journey, like especially when in England, and so there's like that that feeling of higher beings are sort of around the spaces, seeing what you need or where you're at in your evolution of how they can support you, or so at the cave, my friend and I each had different experiences, but we both came away feeling very fulfilled by the experience, which which just was being able to have stillness, contemplation, and then it's almost like you get messages, you get other things of things that you need to do, or they may ask you to do things. Can you do this about the energy here, or can you? I see. It was more of. I mean, I honestly can't say that it was Merlin himself, but there was some being there that obviously that was their hood.
Colleen 11:54
Yes,
Janelle 11:56
and and they welcomed us in, which is the first level to it all, because some places you go and you'll get a distinct permission that you don't have permission to go into certain sacred sites. Like it's like to
Colleen 12:10
ask, no, and you
Janelle 12:11
always need to ask whether you have permission or not.
Colleen 12:14
Right, that's a very good point. Yeah,
Janelle 12:16
yeah, and it's just that sometimes you're not ready for the sacred sites, and then sometimes the sacred sites aren't ready for you. It's a dance.
Colleen 12:25
Oh, interesting! What a great way to put that too. And yeah, so with people are starting to go into this kind of journey where they're learning more about feeling energy and sensing energy. Some of the things I find that are helpful too is just being able to sit with yourself and look at your own energy, and looking at going, just seeing how you feel, like not changing anything, just observing, observing if you have a pain or if you're feeling a little down, like you know, noticing your feelings and whatnot is a very good place to start before going into to these. Well, whenever, just do it whenever.
Janelle 13:03
So yeah, it's good to know what energy is yours.
Colleen 13:06
Yes,
Janelle 13:07
going into a space, and then what energy is already there.
Colleen 13:12
Yes,
Janelle 13:12
you know, and then you're like, ooh, okay, this is sparkly, or this is new, or this is, and and then you try to put words to it, like, "Oh, it's very light in here. Like, so there's like a lot of high energy in here. Like, if if you can't see, because not all of us can see, you know, as as a skill. Although I think everybody can learn it over time, but it's like it's much easier for people to sort of feel or sense the energy that's around them in a sacred spot.
Colleen 13:46
Yeah, exactly. Yeah, and you mentioned people doing ceremony in the water at Saint Nectan's Glen when you arrived. Did that feel intrusive, or did it add to the sacredness of the place?
Janelle 14:04
Ah, that's an interesting question because we walked in and we saw that they were in the water doing their thing. So we wanted to sort of give them the privacy for them to finish their ceremony, but we could hardly wait to get in the water ourselves, so it was like splish splash, right? So because it was such beautiful energy there, you just wanted to be immersed in the water, like it was just yeah. So it does
Colleen 14:37
So it does sound sacred. It sounds very sacred,
Janelle 14:40
You know. So I mean, yes, and probably the ceremony they were doing was supporting them, or maybe their intent for the ceremony was to help with the energy of Saint Nectars Glen itself. It's hard to say because we didn't actually speak with the people; we just sort of waited for them to move out of the. Water and we did contemplations like around the waterfall on the land until they waded out of the water and and left and then we hopped in.
Colleen 15:11
Oh wow! What an experience that sounds great. You said Glastonbury felt like a lot of heart opening and heart healing for you personally. Were you going through something at that time that made you particularly open to that, or did it actually just cut you off guard?
Janelle 15:34
Well, it's always interesting with the heart because I've done some shamanic healing where I was working with my heart and and had to keep opening it and opening it. In that instance, it was more to feel the pain of the world. The shaman had put sort of like a big stone on my chest as I was laying down, and as I was opening my heart, this stone exploded into three pieces across the room, and so it sort of felt like that, where I was opening my heart, like sort of like, well, how you know how far can your heart open? And it's like exponentially, right? So it's like every time you think you can't open more, yeah, you can. That's true. If you if you choose to, right? Like it's definitely you can choose to open your heart, close your heart. You know, so you're in control. But some of these spaces basically take your heart and start to do it for you. And you're like, okay, well, how open am I wanting to? You know, have my heart be, yeah.
Colleen 16:41
Oh, that's so wild, very wild.
Janelle 16:46
Yeah, but the other thing was, we actually worked with all of the chakras, so it's sort of like not just the the heart chakra, but all of the chakras within the heart chakra. So,
Colleen 16:57
Oh, fantastic, yeah,
Janelle 16:59
yeah.
Colleen 17:00
So chakras are energy energy spots on human bodies. So there's seven that are typically talked about, but then there are chakras, like you say, chakras inside chakras and all over your body, basically just to have like energy, like little energy fields.
Janelle 17:18
Yeah, and I mean I just touched on it briefly, but it's like there's chakras around the world too. At different sacred sites, you can experience the chakras on the earth.
Colleen 17:31
Oh, very cool! Very cool. I'm moving now. We're moving on to Avebury, Avebury, Avebury,
Janelle 17:39
Avebury. There we go. Potato, potato. You said you chose Avebury over Stonehenge because it was on the line. Do you think most people are missing something by gravitating toward the more famous site?
Janelle 17:55
Yeah, it's been interesting because I don't feel that there's as much energy at Stonehenge as there used to be, so I feel it's taking itself offline more, even with all of the druid ceremonies and all of that kind of ceremony and ritual. There, it didn't feel as powerful as Avebury.
Colleen 18:19
Oh, okay, okay, neat. Oh, something to keep in mind.
Janelle 18:23
So sometimes sacred sites take themselves offline for however long, almost like regrouping or restructuring, and then bring themselves back online.
Colleen 18:34
Oh, interesting. Okay,
Janelle 18:35
yeah. So it felt at that time in 2017 or sorry, yeah, 20 2017 that Stonehenge had taken itself offline.
Colleen 18:46
Okay,
Janelle 18:47
for a bit. So when I tuned into both of them, I definitely got yeah to head to Avebury, and it was on the line, and so that side of things was a no brainer too. But it's sort of like most people like, ooh, got to go to Stonehenge, and you know,
Colleen 19:02
yeah,
Janelle 19:03
but you can't even get to Stonehenge. Like, I know it's been
Colleen 19:06
just yeah, and so
Janelle 19:08
it's very hard to get into Stonehenge unless you're a druid nowadays.
Colleen 19:13
Yeah, that's right. That's what I hear.
Janelle 19:15
You got to get on a big list, and only a handful of people are picked. Right, and yeah, it's the whole thing.
Colleen 19:23
Oh wow! So I mean, this nicely dives into my last question here. For a listener who has never visited a sacred site with intention, someone curious but a little skeptical, what is your advice for how to show up at a place like this, or any of the places, sacred places we've talked about.
Janelle 19:45
My best advice is for them to be just open, have an open heart, have an open mind, have no expectations or assumptions about what may or may not occur. Go in respectfully. Of this is a space, and it doesn't have to interact with you. It's a choice on this on the land's part too, of how much interaction it wants to have with you. It's in using your intuition and going to a spot you feel drawn to, and having you know just sitting there, breathing, taking it in, are all really good starting places.
Colleen 20:28
And just touching the land too, I find is very helpful for me as well. Well, this has been such a good conversation. Thank you, Janelle, for sharing not just the research but the feelings of these places, which is great, some personal work there. That's what makes everything land with us. We'll see you all in the next one, folks, and thank you very much for being here. Take care.
Janelle 20:56
There it is, and there you have it. Thank you for sharing and brightening the path today.
