Happy Father's Day, everybody.

We have a new theme song.

Here we go.

Yeah.

Welcome to the show.

It's time to ignite.

Scott's silky smooth voice keeps the vibes

just right.

Caroline on the mic wants a star on

the ice.

Game's athlete so strong,

keeps the balance precise.

And Jamie's in the house.

The engine full of grip.

Never backing down.

Down doesn't know.

What is going on, everybody?

Welcome to Sunday Night CrossFit Talk,

or as how we like to say it,

Sunday, Sunday, Sunday night,

CrossFit talk.

Yeah.

Worked on that for a long time.

I like it.

It's catchy.

It's good.

Yeah.

I I'll get down to it.

Your time on the ice.

Yeah.

I was able to grab that picture and

get that in there and Jamie never backing

down with that death stare of hers.

Yeah.

I thought that came out well.

Yeah, that's awesome.

Now people need to be here like on

time exactly so they can hear it.

Yeah.

Or if you listen to it on rewatch,

you can do that.

It's a brand new show.

Now I got to work on the outro.

So that song is actually longer.

When you watch a show,

let's say a show is live.

Do you go directly to where it's at

and then watch the beginning later?

Or are you a person that has to

go watch the beginning and then we'll like

put it at one point five or two

to try to catch up with the live?

Because me and Lex are two different

people on this.

So honestly,

it depends on the subject matter.

Yeah.

Yeah.

If it's something I think I need all

the context,

I go back to the beginning and I'll

watch on like one, two, five or one,

five to catch up to live.

If it's something that I don't really care

about the context or whatever,

I'll watch it from there and then go

back and catch the beginning.

See,

like I just go right to the live

so I can like be reading in the

comments of like what's going on and then

I'll come back.

And Lex is the opposite.

She hates when I do that and like

forces me to go all the way to

the beginning and like fast,

not fast forward,

but like a fast pace of it.

Yeah.

I am with Judy here.

Depends on how far along the show is.

Like, if it's, like, twenty,

maybe up to thirty,

I'll try to catch up.

Otherwise, I'm going in.

And, like, usually it'd be, like,

Sevan that I come in late.

And he'd, like, Scott was saying,

it depends on, like, if I need context.

He usually is, like, you know,

subject to subject.

So I don't feel like I lost some,

like, thirty minutes of context.

Usually we're on to a new subject.

So I feel like I can just jump

in.

Yeah.

Yeah, I didn't.

That's a great question though.

Cause I'm sure it is everybody.

And it's very dependent on the person,

but like Carolyn,

you're more so active in the chat, right?

If you are not live, correct.

Right.

You can't chat like you like to do.

Yeah.

I mean,

I saw you in the chat so much

this week of all these different shows.

Was I, was I active?

Which one?

Yes.

Probably more this week than you've been

for a while.

Really?

I go through phases.

Am I, I am there from the,

for the beginning, from the beginning.

She's everywhere.

She's everywhere.

She's like Visa everywhere you want to be.

So church brings up the world cup.

I didn't mean to dive into this so

quickly.

I am not a soccer fan.

Everything I know about soccer.

I learned from welcome to Rexham.

Yep.

And my daughter's U-Nine team.

That's about it.

Yep.

So other than that, though,

my favorite football player in the world,

American football,

other than Chicago Bears,

is Jameis Winston.

Jameis Winston is the man who came to

the mic and said, Dear Lord,

please deliver me from pick sixes.

because he would throw so many

interceptions.

He got hired by Fox to go out

and be with the crowds and be a

correspondent.

When he retires from football,

they need to give him a mic and

let him go do whatever he wants.

I will watch.

And I have a couple little samples from

covering the World Cup that he has on

Instagram.

So first is,

this is him hanging out with the Dutch

fans.

Pause real quick.

Did he say do the cupid shuffle?

He said do the cupid shuffle.

So that's that one.

And then this is another taste.

Yo,

we saying the World Cup in four different

languages.

Let me start off with simplicity.

World Cup.

Copa Mundial.

Weltmeisterschaft.

That's German.

I might be German.

Coupe du Monde is my favorite.

Copa do Mundo.

Yeah,

y'all didn't know that I had that type

of etiquette.

Check me out.

Here we go.

And then this is,

this will be the last one.

I have more saved,

but you got to see the powdered wig

at some point in this video.

USA!

USA!

USA!

USA!

USA!

USA!

USA!

Anyway, I had to, uh,

it keeps playing it right here.

Those are great.

The fans are crazy for soccer.

It's nuts.

They are.

That seems to be the main reason to

go is just the hype going on at

these events.

The country pride for every country

playing.

They have games in Toronto here and the

streets are nuts.

I do not go downtown at all.

And I certainly won't.

Really, until I go watch a sporting event,

I try to avoid the downtown.

But I'm seeing the streets right now.

It's just crazy when it's game day.

Completely packed.

Pazla Craig says,

the Scottish fans drank all the beer in

Boston.

That was a cool story.

They drank it all but the Bud Light

and left that for the next fans to

come in.

i you're i'm having a hard time hearing

you jay i said what does that say

about bud light who knows i just don't

like it's too watered down for me and

i haven't even drank in two and a

half years like i care but um but

i like a i like a hearty beer

that is not one of those

And I'm sure the fans from Europe are

drinking more hearty beers than light

beers.

That is not what they're used to.

So anything else?

So we have the new theme song.

We have the Jameis Winston is the greatest

hire in sports.

And I watched some Grid yesterday.

Oh, yeah?

You know,

I'm actually kind of starting to really

enjoy it.

Just because it's a quick hitter.

You can get into it,

get some entertainment.

And you know people on different teams,

too, now that you can kind of follow.

All those people I talked to that were

semifinalists are stars in the grid

league.

Yeah.

And the announcers are really,

really good.

what makes them good i i think they're

just super knowledgeable and they they

talk not only about what's on the grid

but the personalities of the athletes um

the coaches the strategies i just think

they're really good at what they do and

um it's two women uh the one woman

i i don't know her the other is

She was a CrossFitter.

She actually got banned for Taylor.

Taylor, no.

Someone in the channel.

I remember.

Yeah,

I feel like we talked about this last

year.

I remember.

But she's great.

She like knows all the intricacies of the

sport.

She talks about the detail.

I think it's truly like color

commentating.

Not what would I do,

but what is the strategy in this moment

for that athlete and their strengths and

abilities?

Does that make sense?

Yeah.

And I think that's what like Carolyn's

really good at.

When she talks about an athlete,

she doesn't say this is how I would

have done it.

She says by what their strengths and

weaknesses are,

that's what they're going to be good at

or how they should attack it.

Yeah,

it helps when you know the athletes or

know their strengths and weaknesses to

kind of predict some of the outcome.

Yeah.

But it's not about you.

And people don't want to hear what you

would do or how you would have done

at that event.

Like, yeah,

just give us some context to the workout.

Not in regards to yourself.

Commentary addresses professionally, too.

Don't see that much anymore.

Not that it matters.

I think that's it.

They're so invested in this grid league,

and it's this small niche community,

and they know everybody because they're

that invested.

That's their job.

Do I think it's taking over the world?

No, but it was a fun watch.

How many matches yesterday?

Or how many different teams?

Four matches for eight teams.

taylor stallings and cassie martinez um

and then their sideline reporter is a male

and he's probably the weakest of the bunch

i think like they have a hard time

just like when some of these smaller

entities try to cover their the

communication between the booth and the

person on the field seems to be lacking

So here's a question.

I didn't watch this weekend,

but it's a new season that's starting this

year.

Are they the same workouts as the prior

year?

Do they change every time,

like every event that they do or every

weekend tournament?

They're different workouts.

It changed throughout the day yesterday.

So I don't know how it's determined,

but I think there is like a template

that event one has to be this style.

Event two has to be that style.

And then they have one that's voted on

by the fans every match.

Nice.

And the fans get to vote on what

that match is going to be.

I saw that they introduced a new movement

this year, the drop kit, basically.

I did see that on Instagram.

So they must change the... I mean,

it can't be the same year to year.

Like,

they're adding new things and they're

changing workouts, I would say.

Yeah.

Yeah.

And again, everything is so fast.

Like,

each event is done five minutes tops.

And I'll say this, like...

for standards their squat depth is great

and that people are getting no rep left

and right now lockout position maybe not

so much but ass was to grass on

a lot of those matches I watched when

a team gets way ahead what's the incentive

of the other team to continue going I

guess

So if the other team finishes within

twenty percent of the other team,

they get a point.

OK.

So then they don't just give up and

wait for the next match.

Right.

So the winner gets two points.

If you finish within twenty percent of the

time,

then you get you get a point to

keep it close.

So anyway, I enjoyed it.

Again,

I don't think it's taken over the world.

The views on it were not like super

high.

A couple hundred for the matches I was

watching live.

I don't know what like going back and

watching it's going to look like.

But again,

I enjoyed it on a Saturday afternoon where

I was here by myself doing housework.

It was a nice break in the day.

there's nothing else going on because

online semi-finals you can't see and the

review you can't see and we're sitting

through that which we'll talk about in a

little bit so a lot of people were

talking about this and we actually talked

about it right before we went on the

air so i guess now is as good

as time as any i didn't watch any

of the actual matches i just tried to

follow the drama all over instagram same

um which was just like

Some of it was like,

it's just very picky, right?

Like that, like Cole, who's Canadian,

like one meter basically.

And he stepped off.

Someone else was doing wall balls and they

were at ninety nine and three people told

him to go.

And apparently he was one short.

And then Hunter's burpees.

When you slow it down,

where he lands and where he puts his

hands, they are a little bit in front.

I think it's like thirty centimeters or

something that you're supposed to...

He is one that rides the line a

little bit,

but I just feel like they're very picky

with Hunter all the time.

I'm a Hunter fan.

I am too.

I wish that he wasn't getting penalized

there,

but I guess I don't know enough about

the rules there,

but I just find there's just some,

some inconsistencies in there.

Like the penalties, I guess,

because like the machine to get DQ'd over

a one meter stepping off the platform

early,

and then someone not doing a final wall

ball and getting like, let's say,

let's say, let's say, let's say,

let's say, let's say,

doesn't seem to be very fair um it's

crazy but like high rocks responded

responded i think in a post that said

like because these are like the the elite

fifteens like they're held to the to the

most severe of the standards that they

have because like they're the pinnacle of

the sport um

I think that they need to play around

with their rules, though,

and as their sport gets bigger,

they have to dial that in much better.

Like, I don't know.

To me,

that's not a DQ on the machine.

There's got to be a better way to,

like, that's crazy.

I mean, make it, uh,

fifteen seconds every meter.

Like,

is it much different than one wall ball?

I'd argue one meter is less than one

wall ball.

Yeah,

I would argue that a hundred percent, too.

Right.

So,

if fifteen seconds seems to be your

typical penalty, like,

I mean, I guess make it hard.

I guess make it harsh.

Make it fifteen seconds per meter.

DQ seems makes no sense.

Get crazy again.

My thing is and it's been my thing

in CrossFit is if it's written in the

rules, it's written in the rules.

Whenever you leave it ambiguous and open

for interpretation is where you get into

trouble.

Right.

And so we were talking before we went

on the air.

High Rocks, this week alone,

has pulled down sponsorship posts because

they were not Puma.

They were other brands.

Then they are now being sought out by

a private equity company.

And now they have all this judging and

rule ambiguity happening this weekend.

My gosh,

take me back to twenty fourteen fifteen.

We're going through the whole series of

stuff just in a shorter amount of time.

All in one year.

I mean,

the Nike Reebok wars of twenty fourteen

were crazy.

How many views were watching them live?

I guess I didn't.

I've watched a lot of their events live,

but I went to go see Family this

weekend, so I was hanging out with them,

so I didn't see.

But the popularity is just going up so

much.

Now they do interviews prior to the High

Rocks event.

The Elite Fifteen is really pro-athletes,

I guess.

I know that the views were a lot.

I did not watch it.

Is it comparable to the games?

That's what I want to know.

I think it is.

Yeah.

I didn't see it live either,

so I don't know.

But I would imagine.

I think it has an easier barrier to

entry than CrossFit.

Absolutely.

because it's running and a handful of

disciplines.

And if you can figure those out,

you can play.

I see three hundred and fifty seven

thousand views streamed three days ago for

the elite fifteen singles.

That's games ish, right?

Those are just like high.

I think those are just like cut.

I don't.

Yeah.

No.

Yeah.

Three hundred fifty seven thousand.

Maybe I'm looking for already this

weekend.

It's pretty good.

That's pretty good.

Tessa says, take.

Here's my take.

Marathon runners gravitate to high rocks.

Gymnasts to CrossFit.

I mean, the one female that won,

isn't she like a previous marathon runner

and like just started High Rocks?

You know where she's from?

With the lower barrier to entry,

like you're going to see like a sport

like High Rocks,

you could see someone enter within that

year,

a couple of months in and could win

the world championship.

You could never see that in CrossFit.

where someone just starts within a couple

months and becomes the CrossFit Games

champion.

It just wouldn't happen.

There's just so many things involved with

CrossFit.

But with High Rocks,

someone that has a tremendous background

of running and has some strength involved,

they can literally...

It can be a whole new field next

year, Elite Fifteens,

where that turnover is just not that big

in CrossFit.

Four months ago did her first High Rocks,

I think.

Crazy.

Thanks, Claire.

Yeah, she's from Grand Rapids.

She trains at Eighth Day.

But that's a perfect example.

She's training at a CrossFit gym.

Yeah.

But they're a huge gym that has a

dedicated High Rocks for her.

But a lot of gyms are having a

high rocks piece, right?

And I thought when Bruce had his

conversation at Two Brains,

he talked about that.

Don't dog the high rocksers.

Bring them in because they could become a

part of the community.

They're training at your gyms.

Don't say you suck and we're great.

They're out there moving and they're

getting activity in, right?

That's what you want.

Yeah.

But I just think you're going to see

as Hyrox continues to just explode

worldwide...

Like you're going to see a lot of

runners enter this,

especially as money prize probably starts

increasing in the sport.

And there's not as much money prize and

even like track and field and marathon

stuff, you know?

like you're going to see a lot of

crossover,

I think soon to the high rocks where

I wonder if the type of athlete that

does well there is just going to continue

to evolve like into just like our sport

changed in terms of like the body type,

like it's going to maybe swing completely

more towards like,

if you have an elite elite runner of

like marathon,

I don't know if that's the best,

but like, who knows, you know?

It's become very clear with this winter

that High Rocks is all about the running.

I wish they would make the stations

heavier to balance it out so the stations

mattered as much as the run.

And there's no gymnastics.

Well, arguably the Burpee Broad Jump.

Definitely not high-skilled gymnastics for

sure.

Right.

Well, then you're just pushing CrossFit.

It is what it is.

They probably programmed it correct.

It's meeting the market.

We have CrossFit.

We have heavier stuff.

We have gymnastics.

Do you see a day,

and this is just off the top of

my head,

that the only way all of this survives

is to come together and like create a

fitness festival?

Within the same weekend of the CrossFit

Games,

hold the Elite Fifteen or the World

Championship of High Rocks,

and then the CrossFit Games is also that

weekend.

That would be actually really cool.

one week one week of nothing but fitness

all the partners that a power lifting me

world champ like tactical games xenon

whatever you want to throw in there and

just make it this massive where it's just

it's almost like the arnold yeah right but

not bodybuilding centric

I feel like there would be a lot

of conflict in the sponsorships and money

involved in it, but it would be cool.

Well, you treat them as individual events.

They're just all being held in the same

location at the same time.

Yeah,

but the setup for High Rocks and then

to rip that down and set up the

CrossFit Games like you did.

If you did that,

like Elite Fifteen with CrossFit Games

Week.

I mean,

I feel like CrossFit Games needs an entire

week to set up.

I don't think...

I think they need the week to get

broadcast trucks and all that.

But you could start sharing that stuff.

Right?

Rogue redoes the floor overnight the whole

weekend.

It would be cool.

To have all of the High Rocks fans

that maybe...

don't do CrossFit,

watch also the CrossFit and vice versa.

And just appreciation of all of the people

that are at the top of their sport

is cool.

Yeah.

Again, like I,

and if you had someplace like Madison,

so like up where they did the cyclocross,

hold a tactical games, right?

Like you could do a whole bunch of

different things all in this big festival

weekend, right?

like the champion of champions and just

one big celebration of fitness.

You're right.

Egos are going to get in play.

It's probably not possible, but man,

how you could actually grow this thing by

having it like that,

I think would be huge.

But like, I also feel like,

CrossFit should be having booths at High

Rocks events if they're allowed to.

They, one thousand percent,

should be having a booth there.

You want to train for High Rocks?

This is how you can find an affiliate

on the map here.

This is what CrossFit is.

This is what we have.

All these things here.

these gyms are affiliated also with High

Rocks.

I don't know why we don't have booths

there.

I know that the High Rocks that I've

done,

there were different sponsorships and

stuff.

Why can't CrossFit have a booth there?

I feel like it's a missed opportunity.

I feel like that would be a well

worth investment of CrossFit to have

people at High Rocks events promoting

CrossFit.

Does Proven have a booth at High Rocks

events?

I bet they do.

Possibly.

Not sure.

They have dove headfirst into high rocks.

Why not?

It's a great opportunity.

And now's the time because CrossFit

doesn't have any sponsors.

I mean, I'm half joking,

but we don't have a shoe sponsor.

So you don't have to worry about Puma.

Yep.

Just saying.

An affiliate is missing the opportunity at

the very least.

Yeah,

CrossFit affiliate should go try to get a

booth.

I just think it'd be worth an investment.

Believe Days has shoes now?

Yeah, they had them last year.

I like them.

What are they like?

What are they like?

They're pretty light.

What's that?

Are they like tears?

No, I wouldn't say like tear.

I would say...

I don't know what they look like.

I don't know what...

I couldn't stand GORUCK shoes.

No, no, no.

They're better than GORUCK.

I don't know.

I like them, though.

I wear them all the time to walk

around.

Are they like Nobles?

No.

Nobles are much harder.

Okay.

Are they like a Nano?

I'd say closer.

Okay.

Ken is saying Innovate.

old school innovate yeah i'm all about the

adidas now oh yeah been sucked into that

sponsorship it was really just the um the

running shoes are so comfortable

i haven't had a pair of adidas shoes

in i don't know when the last time

i got it our hockey team i think

at one point were sponsored by adidas so

we had been like not they weren't like

running shoes or anything like that i want

to say our college cross country team was

sponsored by adidas

love the running shoes the drop sets are

okay the the training shoes i have to

like get them off they're fine during the

workout but as soon as it's over i've

got to get them off um espn brought

all all the counter-cultural sports

together for the x games scott's idea

might be the best playbook for getting

bigger sponsors to the games

I think you don't have to do all

of them right away.

You just do three of them maybe together

on a weekend.

Yeah.

Easier said than done.

Yeah.

And then it would be shared cost too.

Right.

So everybody wouldn't have to pay as much

for the venues and so forth.

I think it was Kenneth that said pro

wrestling does that.

During WrestleMania,

they have a bunch of smaller shows in

the same city.

So...

Anyway, um, that I,

we got off on a tangent there,

but I did want to share this real

quick and then we'll get into everything

on the agenda.

Nope.

That's not it.

Uh, new March.

Oh yeah.

This is the approved,

the proof I approved last week.

Um, so for the games, uh, new shirts.

A nice blue,

I think they're calling it sapphire shirt

with a black logo.

Super simple.

But to have for the games.

I didn't want to go black again.

I wanted to find something cool that

wouldn't be hot in the California sun as

much.

So they're coming.

I have all sizes from extra small to

Clydesdale petite.

From Judy.

She wants to know if there is a

racer back tank option.

Judy,

what you see on the screen is the

option you get right now.

You're going to have to get some scissors,

Judy, and create this.

Once we get some of these sold,

then we'll put that money back into

getting some other stuff and have some

other options.

But this is a start.

People have been asking for this logo

specifically.

And so they're on order.

They're on the way.

And yeah.

Oh,

I thought it was Judy Reed that asked.

No, I said Judy Bauman.

Yeah, I wasn't paying attention.

And I'm going to have some at the

games.

So if you see them at the games,

you can buy them off me there.

I'll try to keep a good stock in

my backpack.

Well,

that helps with some shipping and payment

options.

Craig is asking if you asked me for

advice on payment and shipping.

I did not because I'm a pro at

this apparently.

I pirate ship and just put in so

when people order,

I just go to pirate ship and print

the label.

When I would sell on eBay and stuff.

I just went to the US post office

and printed the label.

Yeah, that's time consuming.

You go right from your computer.

Any budgie smuggler option?

bougie bougie smuggler no budgie budgie

yeah no no no no is that the

australian speedo or whatever yeah uh are

you going to wfp stop too in indie

uh that is the plan and i was

told on the air that i had media

credentials i have not seen that in

writing

So waiting to see that in writing.

And once I get that, yes, I'm going.

Right now,

my goal is to get my wife to

go to the games so she can do

fan interviews.

The feedback on the first one she did

at Syndicate was huge.

And she's got a little confidence and she

thinks she has a place now.

So I'm hoping she flies out to the

games with me.

going to have to learn all the athletes

no the beauty of it is that she

doesn't know anything that's the beauty of

the whole thing there's enough people that

interview people that know or think they

know everything my wife knows absolutely

nothing so that's what makes it charming

and different she's just going to be like

going up to fans in the crowd because

they're going to look like

Some of them look like games athletes

there, right?

Yeah.

Are you competing this weekend?

Well,

she went up to Austin Hatfield's brother,

not knowing who Austin Hatfield was,

and interviewed him.

Yeah.

That's the beauty of it.

Does she not want to?

I think she wants to.

We're just trying to figure out,

does she have enough time off to go?

And to be honest,

I got approved for elite media

credentials.

I tried to see if they would approve

me for Masters,

and they said I had to go through

Legends.

So I still don't know where I am

there.

Not only did I get approved for elites,

but I am one of the few people

that has a media pass for the pit.

They're only giving out like twenty pit

passes.

Wow.

Because there are no sideline pits this

year.

Only end zone.

Finish line.

Which is actually some really cool shots.

But I can pass that between Ishmael and

myself.

Okay.

I still have to get tickets for...

So we get tickets for the Friday.

Like we can sit anywhere in the Coliseum

on Friday.

I do not know the answer to that.

I still have to get tickets for the

Saturday and Sunday.

Look at those.

Uh, do you know who I am?

I'm the face of masters media.

Did you see the RX experience thing that

you can get tickets to the, um,

It's three hundred dollars a day.

I was going to see how much is

it?

Three hundred.

For the outdoor stuff like the Wednesday?

So they have it for every day,

but it actually allows you to go to

the Wednesday events.

OK.

Because a regular ticket does not allow

you to.

Right.

So it's all the VIP tickets and now

they're selling like an add on.

Is that what's happening?

Correct.

OK.

so what is it eight hundred dollars for

the weekend and then if you want this

um vip or rx experience it's more uh

carolyn died she's not just staring us

down did you pop her out i just

popped her out uh

But it's not letting me kick her out.

That's what happened to me the one time.

I just faded to black.

It was my charger.

I didn't even realize it wasn't quite

plugged into my computer.

So, anyway, her computer died.

Been there, done that.

I've been unable to find a place to

purchase them.

Any suggestions?

Wayne, I do not know.

rx plus thing yeah good question i don't

even know if they're for sale yet or

they could be sold out or they could

have like i don't know the whole thing

is just crazy expensive uh tesla says it

sounds like a lifetime fitness it's

expensive to be a member and if you

want to take classes it's more money

That's the biggest problem.

We can't even sell the tickets we have.

Right.

And now you're adding on this bougie coup

de grace thing.

That's another three hundred bucks per

person per day.

Yeah.

I feel like the people that have the

money will do that and they can do

that.

They would they buy whatever no matter

what.

Like those are the people that are going

to be there anyway.

okay, those twenty people,

but what about the rest of the empty

seats?

Agreed.

If you want to make a VIP experience

that's a thousand dollars, go for it.

Right.

People will pay it, go for it.

But you need to start filling some seats.

Right.

And not everybody is going to pay that

much money.

And let's be honest,

people don't sit there all day.

They sit for a little bit,

then they go and they leave,

and then they come back maybe for a

little bit.

I think I used this analogy this week.

CrossFit is acting like we have a Mercedes

when we have a Honda Accord.

Right.

All CrossFit has to do next is totally

F things up by doing a pay-per-view games

online.

I disagree.

I actually think that that would probably

do better than the... What's a jiggy?

It's the monthly thing that people...

I'm freaking... Whatever it is.

The what's a jiggy?

Yeah.

You know, slowly.

I think that if that's the route they

go, that's how they totally F it up.

I actually think if it was...

for that event that weekend just to stream

CrossFit games, people would do it.

I mean,

it's like paying for the Rogue broadcast.

People did that.

And there wasn't a lot of complaining

about that.

It's the locking you into this monthly

Flow Elite thing that people don't want

Flow Elite.

Rogue charges you twenty-five dollars for

the weekend.

You got four camera angles to choose from.

Right.

the next year you had a movable camera

that you could move to whatever lane you

wanted to watch at the time for twenty

five bucks.

I would pay that every time to watch

the games.

Yeah, I agree.

Now, Flo Elite getting a glitchy.

Right.

You don't know what you're getting and

you're like, right.

Yes, that is the problem.

If Flow Elite wasn't glitchy,

I'd still pay for it because I'm a

nerd.

That's just who I am.

I have entertainment dollars.

Watching CrossFit is part of my

entertainment.

And I have not canceled my Flow Elite.

Thank you, Wayne, for reminding her there.

Well, if you want to watch the Masters,

you got to have it next month.

I'll be watching.

Well, you'll be there.

Aaron will be with me,

so we don't need the Flow Elite

subscription.

Here's the other part with all this,

right?

When they announced the games were going

to be in San Jose,

they said it was going to be Friday

to Sunday.

Correct.

So I went and got a hotel reservation

for Wednesday to Monday,

thinking that way I can see some people

before the stuff starts.

I can go do stuff with them,

and I'll be good.

Then...

They come out with, well,

now it's gonna be everybody there and the

masters are gonna be before.

Now, to change all my plans,

I would lose so much money.

So the people that I love to hang

out with and chat with in the masters

community,

I can't even get there without taking a

bath.

Yeah.

I feel like that's, I mean,

I've said this,

like they kind of advertise it as,

you know, all back together.

This was, this was the year.

And then they just didn't,

that's not the case.

And they didn't even really have masters

in mind.

Like that should have been,

everything should have been broadcast from

day one of the week.

Cause the games technically start on

Tuesday and it should be one ticket for

the entire week for everything.

I agree.

I mean,

I understand that it's different entities,

but like, I think that's a problem.

I completely agree.

It's just...

It's everything is an afterthought.

And for us trying to plan to get

there, no wonder nobody shows up.

You know how many people got pissed

because their arrangements were to fly in

on Wednesday and now they're going to miss

the whole day.

Yeah, exactly.

Do you think they were thinking maybe they

would start on Thursday and now they've

just, I don't know.

I mean,

you got to think he thought he was

doing these events all along,

but

Cause I,

I imagined he probably was thinking he was

going to start on Thursday at the ranch

and that shouldn't have messed much up.

But now I feel like maybe just

logistically with everything they want to

do or me or, or I don't know,

did he, what are they not sold on?

And now he's made it funny.

And now when they are like,

we're going to kill these athletes.

So we need the rest day on Thursday.

you knew at a minimum they were going

to do something at the ranch.

For sure.

Even though that still has not been

announced.

It's like the worst kept secret in

CrossFit.

Right.

I just think they were considering doing

it on Thursday.

I think they were going to do it

the day before, start them off site.

And then Friday, Saturday,

Sunday was going to be at the SAP.

But the teams are starting Thursday and

that had to be part of the plan

all along.

You know what I mean?

Yeah.

And because of that,

they had to have an idea that Wednesday

was in play.

Right.

I mean.

Right.

Because to fit the teams in.

Do you think they just figured, you know,

it's not really going to be open to

the public, so it doesn't really matter?

Well,

now you're selling three hundred dollar

tickets for it.

So it does matter.

This is this is really strange to me.

She's back.

Larry Young, Jamie,

I was all so all in this year,

but after the open,

not sure I'll even go to the Masters.

And honestly.

I'm guessing not sure he's even going to

go to the games and not sure I'll

even go to the Masters as well.

Yeah, I don't know.

Larry, I thought you already had.

I thought you purchased tickets for the

games.

Maybe not.

Maybe that was Ken.

Like right when they came out.

I mean, you got to go, Larry.

You got to go support your son.

He's going to be there coaching.

I don't know.

I've never been to a games where Larry

wasn't there.

Yeah.

Larry, I expect to see you there.

With Clyde's male media shirt on.

Yeah, he has tickets.

That's what I thought.

I don't know where I want to go

next.

Okay.

So now we're at online review.

Okay.

We have seen a minor tweak on the

leaderboard where Nate Ackerman got a

point.

Yep.

He's now tied for eighth.

I did see this today also.

I don't know if you guys saw this.

i've noticed a few things on the woman's

side the sydney smith uh ariel lowen got

her fifth accepted video oh so she has

all five accepted yep love to see it

five for five videos accepted good for her

and i just grabbed that so some of

the athletes are all they already know and

they're through all the videos nice

On the woman's side,

I saw Maddie Fouts lose some points on

event one.

I saw Fi lose some points on event

one.

Sydney Smith didn't post the right video

on workout three.

She posted the deadlift one,

so she had a zero.

Correct.

I'm not sure who else had adjustments.

So like right now on the female side,

I think if the Jess Green situation is

accurate with the judge that may not have

their thing,

then it goes all the way down to

Burgos.

Right?

So like,

daughter yeah yep correct yep which isn't

she going team don't think so not this

one not that i know of i thought

she was i thought she was like the

nine eighteen nineteen year old that cj is

that has like wasn't she going with that

the two

the two boys the one that won the

wild ball workout the one that cj's

coaching yeah from i don't think she's on

that team oh i thought she was i

thought no isn't this isn't this gucci

isn't that who this is burgross isn't that

gucci no no gucci is older okay but

uh burgross is young

I thought that was the same person.

I thought Burgos was Gucci.

No.

Gotcha.

Okay.

No.

But she's done well in person as well

this year too.

And I know her through the Rogue

Challenges this year.

She joined those.

And yeah, she's fit.

So I think right now it's looking like

she might get the last spot in.

If the Jess Green situation is...

What was the, her,

her floor judge didn't have their L one.

So from what she had put on the

board of like the names of the judges,

the ones that she entered are not the

same as the ones that were on the

board.

And the one that was on the board,

if you look up the,

in the trainer directory doesn't have

their advanced judges course.

They only have like their level one and

maybe the regular judges course.

So we're wondering if possibly she entered

someone else's name that had their

advanced judge's course.

Yeah.

Unless it was a mistake on her part

and that wasn't the judge.

If in the background she can prove that

that person was there, then maybe.

That's sketch.

It's the old Einhorn is Finkel,

Finkel is Einhorn.

But if that happens,

that she put another judge,

is that like a sanction?

Like,

will they suspend her like they did to

other people that wrote other judges?

It seems like an intentional... I mean,

if she was planning on using what's

written on the board and that's who was

on the floor,

even if the other person was in the

gym, I mean,

I think the intention was to use the

two names that were written on the board

and then she went to type them in

and it wasn't there,

so she put someone else in.

So I feel like that's an intentional...

breaking of the rules vicky when you say

she introduces him on camera is that the

one that has the advanced course or the

one that doesn't have is is the one

she introduces on camera the one she put

in yeah that's with her score because that

would be unfortunate if not only would she

lose her spot to the games but she

gets like a two-year suspension um

You would think after seeing that from

other athletes this year,

you would not do that yourself.

She introduced the one whose judges'

courses are old.

Who doesn't have the advanced judges'

courses.

The one who she wrote on the board.

That's who she introduces.

She went to go submit the score.

That person's name didn't pop up because

they weren't an eligible judge and she

typed in someone else.

That seems incredibly intentional.

Why would you risk...

your whole opportunity for that.

I just don't I don't get it.

Yeah, I mean, I don't know.

Did you wait until this is why so

like, I put in my scores each day,

like as I do, like, yeah,

you do it right away.

So like,

you can see right away that judges Yeah,

I mean,

I look I look up mine on the

directory prior.

And then, but if you,

if you were to, let's say, look,

start posting your scores right away,

you would notice right away that judge

doesn't pop up for whatever reason.

And then be like, Oh crap,

I got to redo this workout because that

score is no,

like it's not even a score right now.

And don't use that person again.

Yes.

Can't use that person.

Right.

Yeah.

I just,

it's too important to like mess it up.

Like,

It's like when you file your taxes,

like you go over that with a fine

tooth comb because you don't want to get

audited.

Right.

You're submitting this as if you're fifth

in the world, sixth in the world,

like you're trying to make this some kind

of a career or at least a pretty

big supplement to your career.

Do you really think she would

intentionally cheat over a judge?

That is just stupid and of no advantage.

You say that,

but people have done it already this year.

Yeah, it's happening.

Because it's a cumbersome process,

and if you don't act on it before

day one,

you are in a pickle.

And if you're going to submit a score,

if that person,

the problem is she goes to type in

that person's name and they don't pop up.

What else do you do?

I mean,

I guess you have to make an intentional

choice.

Do you,

are you out of time to redo?

Do you just put in someone else's name

that was maybe there at the gym with

you and hope you can ask for forgiveness?

It, I mean, it's, yeah,

it's a lot to ask.

the athletes and if people are advanced

judges um requirement is so stupid online

especially when the videos are public like

like it's just so silly that something

like that would make her ineligible to

qualify for the games when like if all

of her reps are all good and let's

say everything's legit in terms of

movement standards and and scores

it's just so silly that we have the

performance there that we can see that we

can judge.

And you'd be like, no,

you can't do it.

Like, it's just so silly.

Here's the problem.

Carolyn is CrossFit has changed their

focus from last year saying,

we're giving you these two judges that

have to have these qualifications.

So we don't have to do as much

on our end.

Then this year,

They had the same requirement but said,

we don't trust those judges.

It's going to be a bloodbath and video

review.

So it is kind of a moving target

as to what they're looking for from this

policy.

I just don't get why you need two

people.

I agree.

That judge does nothing.

Agreed.

Their job should be

to look at the camera and make sure

that you're staying in frame with the

clock or something, you know?

And like,

if they need to move the camera,

because the bar is covering the line,

they could like move the camera up,

but keep you in frame and then re

put it like that could be the job

of the second judge.

But like,

have you seen a second judge go into

the floor and be like, with that,

you just need a video degree,

not a judge's course.

Honestly, I think that's what they need.

That's what they need.

You need someone that's a videographer.

Technology inclined and can set up your

camera

move around i i honestly think they should

do away with the dang two judges on

the floor yeah and you only have to

be there like at the beginning you don't

that judge doesn't even need to be in

frame like your floor judge has to be

in the camera the whole time the head

judge has to get introduced and that's it

they could go say hi and then leave

it's so stupid they do nothing uh raf

a hundred percent agree with carolyn the

judging thing is a nuisance

It just,

it definitely makes it hard for athletes

that don't have training camps that just

have people readily available to judge at

any point in the day,

at any hour of the day that may

just be there for a group of people

to like find two people that are there

all weekend with those qualifications.

Like it's very hard for people that might

just be themselves at the gym.

So someone like a Jess Green,

I call that screen, Jess Green,

I don't know if she's the only one

in her gym, but it's just difficult.

It's just an extra requirement that I

don't think is necessary.

The judges just end up being the same

people that would have judged you anyway.

They aren't going to be much better by

taking the course.

Ultimately, I think that's...

I've heard this brought up on a couple

different podcasts that

You know, these people,

these people aren't really going to know

rep their athlete, their friends,

their spouse, but they're,

there's just too much writing on the line.

I like,

I think just hammer the dang online review

and.

whether you want to have a judge in

your frame to help you is up to

you.

But like, shoot,

if you go into the gym by yourself

and you want to do the workout and

you want to go back and watch your

video and count your reps,

make sure you did everything and look at

your reps and be like,

that's what I'm submitting.

That was, I moved well.

That should be what we do.

People that have their judges course can

go and do the down or up votes.

Which is also crazy.

Did you see this one guy had a

form to go and down

vote all these people that were like in

between their athlete and like their score

like it just becomes like a just a

crazy process but yeah like if you are

comfortable and you don't need a judge

let's say and you can count properly and

you know that you're in frame with

everything now certain like workouts would

be easier to have someone else there that

could go and turn on your rower or

something you know but if you're able to

do everything i don't understand why you

can't do that like why are we making

it so difficult on

Like, it's just a process that like,

it's an extra step for CrossFit to go

invalid, like go and verify all of that.

Yeah, I think Mark makes a great point.

Your online judges may have more

credentials than in person for some court

comps.

That is an imagined mark.

That is a fact.

doesn't make them good judges though you

may have that advanced judges course is

almost like so irrelevant for the online

it's a good course if you're going to

do a judges if you're going to go

volunteer or get paid for a judges um

for a judge or something like at an

event and you see what the roles of

all the different people are and all that

but like there's not really much

additional information in that advanced

judges course that make them more advanced

in general?

Lori Winkleman, whoops,

her and I had a conversation online.

Regardless of that,

Boz alluded to changing online judging

requirements for masters next year.

If they're alluding to it for masters,

I'm assuming it would be more widespread.

I know what assuming can do.

But I am assuming if you're changing it

for one, it'll change for more than that.

You tried to pull up something, Jamie.

Oh, Vicki said, but people don't do that.

I agree they don't because the precedent

last year was

have your two judges in there and we're

going to trust them.

Now,

if they were very clear at the beginning,

like if,

if we got rid of the judges and

said, we're going to hammer you online,

you're an idiot.

If you don't go watch your video and

look and slow them down and be like,

Oh, that was questionable.

I need to redo that workout.

And truthfully,

I think more athletes need to start doing

that and figuring out how they're moving

because it's shit.

Well,

I would say you're an idiot if you

don't have a certified judge and then put

one in on your submission.

As it is,

we need to follow what they say.

Especially knowing that people have been

suspended for that this year.

Well,

you just saw all the masters have that

issue.

You just saw that people got two or

four years, two year,

two year bans for doing that exact thing.

why would you ever risk that of your

own career?

That makes no sense, which is why,

like in my head,

I'm still giving the benefit of the doubt

that there's a mistake there somewhere.

And that could be proven otherwise.

Cause I mean, right now they're still up,

they're still up.

So there could be some sort of video

that we don't know a different angle or

I don't know.

Andrew said,

nothing beats experience from in-person

judging.

I agree with that a hundred percent.

As fast as elite athletes move,

you cannot do,

you cannot figure that out on online.

Well, what's difficult with online is,

is all is like the angles that people

film from.

First of all, like,

let's say the wall ball one with the

double unders, right?

so many athletes are putting their camera

at the side of the far side of

the handstand walk versus putting it to

where you're going to do your wall ball

and your double unders.

And like, okay,

you don't see the end maybe of your

handstand walk,

but you see one handstand walk your wall,

but like it's some gyms.

I feel like are done.

Okay.

Like maybe it was too tight from that

angle,

but there's a lot of gyms that you're

like, no, you just chose that angle.

Oh, absolutely.

Like,

there are some exceptions a hundred

percent that like where the wall target is

like there's just not enough like you'd

have to actually rotate the phone but

there's others we know why we chose that

angle for a reason yeah or or you

have to get the whole handstand walk uh

route in here in columbus and you go

to cincinnati to film it just to make

sure

but every almost every single year we've

programmed movements that are always like

tougher to judge it was like let's say

handstand push-ups and it was that was

always paired with like a handstand walk

which then you need to see all the

way and then people like all the way

across the twenty five feet so then the

camera is backed up way further like I

feel like if you have movements that are

always a little bit more difficult to

judge like you don't pair them

I'm telling you, I think a second judge,

the second judge should be holding the

camera and moving it.

It should always be like no,

like ten feet from the athlete at a

forty five degree angle.

And if they start handstand walking,

you're you're moving it.

That should be the role of the second

person.

uh max says the only thing with that

is i could see people like changing where

the tape lines are like just like i

just think about just something crazy like

that yeah like you could be like moving

you could be switching a dumbbell out yeah

because like equipment is out of frame

yeah i could see that i'm just thinking

about like what some people would do yeah

you're right they would that dumbbell just

got much smaller

What if they gathered the athletes

together, say by region,

had them do the workouts at the same

time with judges?

Max,

that is an example of there's this thing

that we want and there's this thing that

we can afford.

And the problem is they don't mesh.

Yep.

Yet.

I think there's a way.

to downscale what that regional

competition would be to make it affordable

but right now flat regionals just cannot

it's way too expensive um okay so there's

that we had a couple announcements this

week

hopper yep and a pool yep thoughts i'm

excited i mean the hopper is as crossfit

methodology is it gets right there in

terms of that's one of the definitions of

basically what is fitness um so i think

it's cool uh he said someone else would

program it which i thought was cool is

it the next person that's programming is

he is this his last year and it's

going to be the next person that's taking

over like next year do you think it's

his last year i don't know i'm just

saying like if it was his last year

like

could he be handing off that workout to

whoever's programming next year?

That thought process,

if that's truly in the work, but I,

I mean, he said not someone from CrossFit.

So I doubt that someone will be

programming the games next year.

That isn't in CrossFit.

So like Greg.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Here's my thought,

first about Dave being his last year.

When I first heard that, I was like,

come on.

That guy will never give it up.

And then the more and more I listen

to the athlete interviews,

the more and more I start leaning to

this is it.

Why?

Yeah.

I just think the way he's answering

questions is this is it.

I think when he was asked who would

be a good replacement for him,

he didn't blink when he said Boz.

and then he talked about how he has

been mentoring Boz to take over the

mantle.

Just little bits the way he is saying

things.

Again, it's a leaning.

I'm not saying I'm a hundred percent

thinking it's there,

but I'm starting to lean where I do

believe that he is ready to hand it

off.

And two,

like he started the educational program

with CrossFit and maybe,

and he was a teacher as a SEAL.

Maybe he wants to get back into the

teaching aspect of things.

I don't think he's leaving CrossFit.

Pivoting?

Yeah.

His daughter's getting into high school.

Maybe it's just time to like do something

that's more

year-round kind of scheduled maybe so i

don't i mean i have been enjoying the

interviews though and he has been saying a

little bit of information like yeah we

know the pool yeah we know the hopper

he also said i think it was with

saxon that there's repeat workouts okay

there was there was an s to it

he said some

I don't know which interview because I

listened to a few on the road today.

Then there was another one.

We know that there's multiple that are

less than a hundred points.

Saxon, I think,

asked if any from twenty twenty is coming

back because Saxon was on the demo team

that year, a testing team.

Sorry, I should say.

He said perhaps.

I think the swimming stuff is coming back.

I think that swimming event is coming back

as one of the ones that

because he did ask dave what his favorite

workout from twenty twenty was and he said

swimming stuff really and and and he

particularly asked if there was one from

that year coming and dave did say yes

yeah so there's a few little parts if

you listen to the interviews like and when

he asked i don't know which athlete i

think it was saxon that asked about

repeated workouts

I think they've said there will be some.

So that means more than a singular

workout.

So if you're training for the games as

an individual right now,

like you have a little bit of pieces

that you're.

I also liked when Saxon asked him about,

because he's a smaller athlete,

what are his thoughts on machines?

And they had a really good kind of

back and forth about that.

I thought that was really good.

All of them have been great that I've

listened to.

And I was putting up a backsplash today,

so I had them on just one after

another after another.

And so they were great.

But yeah,

when they started talking about twenty

twenty,

it was like two old buddies who had

been through something.

kind of reminiscing.

And when Dave said,

my favorite workout from that year was

swimming stuff because it was gnarly.

I was like,

that's the pool event right there.

I think it is.

I think because Matt also said how

difficult that was and how he wished that

more people experienced that workout.

I'm sure Dave like listens to that and

is like, yeah,

we're going to do that at some point

again.

The way Saxon asked the question was,

if you could do any of the twenty

twenty events for thirty or forty people,

which one would it be?

And that's what he said.

Swimming stuff.

he said a few of them but that

was one of them he started with that

and then went to the trail run and

the snatch speed ladder and then hannah he

said that there's going to be plenty

opportunities for her to shine he did okay

um let's talk about the elephant in the

room though i did not know that you

were coaching jeff adler

No, that I am married to Jack.

You're married to him.

I think that's the second time that he

said that too.

He said it before too.

I messaged it right away to Lombre.

So Dave did that.

It's an ongoing joke now.

Then in the interview with Hannah Black,

he said that he called Travis Mayer fat.

And was glad that he lost all the

weight because he got a mixed up with

Travis.

Oh my gosh.

And then he goes and talks about how

there's not many female athletes at the

top.

So she's coached by a parent, um,

from training think tank.

And then he's like, Oh, there's, you know,

Carolyn Prevo, who's, you know,

Jeff Adler's wife and coaches him.

And then she's like, right.

And I'm like, Oh my God.

I know.

I'm like, no.

So yeah, I am not his wife.

Yeah.

You can definitely tell like Dave is not,

does not dive into the,

the year round media around the athletes.

CrossFit says he sees the resemblance

though.

Caroline Lambert just has a little bit a

better tan.

Yeah.

That's about it.

Avera asked if Masters would see swimming

or twenty events.

I would say no to both of those,

Avera.

Well,

I don't even think that our events are

related at all to...

what the elites will do.

Although it would be nice if, you know,

one or two events were similar across all.

I agree,

but I just don't see it happening.

We're in a different setup at a convention

center, completely like separated.

I just don't see like,

we're just a different competition.

Like they have their test of the fitness

of the fittest.

And we have our own test of the

fittest that is different.

completely different yep yeah i agree i my

smear campaign to the people who run the

legends masters i'm not a fan of their

workouts and i'm not a fan of their

event organization for a games

presentation for their own little legends

thing go to town be all you want

to be right um

So the hopper, we talked about the hopper.

What I love about that is when Dave

explained that they are pretty much

throwing caution to the wind.

And the only reason a movement would not

be in the hopper is if they didn't

have the equipment available or able to

get up in time for the workout.

Right.

Like just because they're doing handstand

pushups two events later,

they aren't going to not put it in

the hopper.

I love that.

yeah it might be a different style

different volume i think it's gonna be

really interesting to see what comes out

how they program it well especially

because they know what's afterwards too

when dave did i think it was with

ben fowler maybe he was saying that um

Like they do get the opportunity to

program what those movements are.

So they can program it in a way

that it will still be different than the

way you did that movement or, you know,

they can make it heavier or lighter or

whatever.

Right.

Well,

I thought it was interesting because when

they first did it,

they had like green

red and blue and it meant heavy medium

and light so will they not do that

this year because will it just be like

just one color of thrusters so that they

can program around it and be like okay

this needs to be light because we're doing

heavy later because if they if you had

heavy in there and you're doing heavy

later and you pulled the heavy out yeah

that's just even more interference so i'll

be curious how they do that

And there's nothing to say that later in

the weekend they don't make an adjustment

to that one.

True.

Right?

Because I've worked,

I've volunteered in twenty seventeen.

Stuff changed throughout the weekend as we

were prepping to get the equipment ready.

Yeah, I suppose that's possible.

I mean, and then for obvious reasons,

like it poured down rain and alpaca

got the the rope removed from it the

one year right you just things happen and

you have to adjust that workout completely

to just a sled and the heavy kettlebells

and just took out all the difficult part

of the gym i was i was so

pissed because christy was doing so well

she was so mad

And she would have killed it with the

rope climb.

She complained a lot.

What's funny is,

did Roman win both iterations?

Like the following year?

He did.

Which is cool.

Any chance they have Annie Sakamoto's

daughter pull the workout?

Did Annie pull it the first time?

I don't know.

Was she not competing?

Annie didn't compete ever until like

twenty twelve.

Is this the strongest field of the games

we've seen?

It's got to be up there.

I think it's got to be up there.

It's not really any people not really

deserving.

I'd like to see how the online semi

shakes out.

Right.

But just with the way the season kind

of played out and that people could go

anywhere.

Like obviously some people could have

traveled that are as good enough,

but then didn't.

But for the most part,

like this has to be one of the

deepest field that we've seen.

I think so.

I mean,

you don't have like four or five random

people that you're like for sure going to

be last.

You may have one or two,

but not like four or five.

Yeah, like you start looking, you're like,

wow,

like some people are going to be in

the, you know,

close to thirty and they're really,

really, really good.

I don't want to give any credence to

this season because I hated it.

Me too.

So it would it would have to be

a pretty remarkable field for me to give

validation to that.

But I understand what you're saying.

Because people traveled and... Correct.

That alone already fixed one of the

major... Yeah.

Yeah.

The fact that Miley Wade and Annika Greer

got two spots out of South America.

Yep.

I mean,

Annika would have got it elsewhere,

I think, too.

And Miley's... Right.

But she blocked others from getting it.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

That's the key.

So people are guessing on.

So I guess Annie Sakamoto's daughter

pulled the ball back in two thousand

seven.

Oh.

And they're asking.

And then Raph said, no,

it should be Tia.

Tia pulls the balls.

Yeah, and we'll... What does proven want?

Come on, Carol, it's random.

Ricky, what do you want to see?

Should Matt pull one, Rich pull one,

and Tia pull one?

You think you can get Matt to the

games?

Pulling the ball doesn't really matter.

It's really about picking the workout.

That's where you go wrong.

But then again...

you have people on testing workouts and

demo teams that are best friends and he

might come.

I mean, I guess Dave has said,

depending on who come,

but part of this Friday athlete, you know,

is all the past champions.

Yeah.

Well, maybe they kind of worked that out.

That'd be a big one to be missing.

You know, I,

I tried at one point to get a

selfie with all the past champions and

i came real close the wells sisters yeah

dave would probably go for that no that's

for like testing workouts or demo uh pesa

craig says it would be cool if tyson

pulled one first of all i know it's

been announced that he's coming to the

games

And yes, I'm already a little giddy.

However,

I don't know how he's going to get

away from training camp.

Yeah.

That was the problem last year.

Yeah, but this is earlier.

Yeah,

but he might just be going for one

day.

Camp starts like that week.

Does it?

Really?

Are you sure it's not a week later?

I'm pretty sure.

I mean,

maybe he met his dad because Dave with

names.

Did he mean him or his dad was

going to be there?

It might just be for one day.

I don't think Travis is the draw to

make a big announcement that Tyson is.

Travis is cool and all.

Greatest arm wrestler of all time.

But he's not an NFL quarterback.

He's got that charter jet money now.

Dude.

And compared to the people he plays with,

He's still down there on the pay list.

Was all of it guaranteed?

No, right?

In football, a lot of it's not guaranteed.

Of the six million, ten was guaranteed.

It kicks in this year.

So he'll get a big chunk of it

this year.

But he'll get it all, if not more.

They'll rework it or... I mean,

teams are calling about him in the

offseason.

The Bears just didn't want to get rid

of him.

I do think it'll probably end up being

Greg programming it.

I do too.

I think that'd be a good guess.

Who pulls the ball?

I don't think it really mattered.

Right.

Isn't Tyson married to Carolyn Prevost?

No.

Bring back the other announcer guy,

Ben something.

We did a special on that cross fat

on the lunch show where we showed some

old clips of Ben doing interviews after

events.

I missed that guy.

Who was it?

I knew you'd ask.

So he was, he was never serious.

Like he would ask questions after race

and,

Did you going faster help you win that

race?

What's your favorite Sesame Street

character?

Those are things he would,

and it just was goofy and it was

so different than the norm.

It was back when CrossFit didn't take

itself so seriously.

Oh yeah.

Why'd you mess that one up so bad?

But he had that,

he had that demeanor where I told this

story.

I was working regionals.

It was my first ever gig of volunteering.

And I was the credential guy coming in.

Kiki Dixon walked in.

I was brand new.

I didn't know who she was and she

wasn't on the list.

So I'm like, I'm sorry.

I can't let you in.

And she's like, well,

don't you know who I am?

I'm like, I don't.

I'm sorry.

And Ben is behind her,

and he's throwing a fit.

He better know who I am when I

get up there.

And he's throwing his bag down and

whipping all this stuff around.

And then I ended up having lunch with

him,

and he is just one of the naturally

funniest guys I've ever met.

he just took this situation where it

looked like Kiki was getting pissed and

like added all this levity to the whole

thing.

And, and it was just great.

I don't think Greg needs to pull the

balls.

I don't really,

I don't think that's that dramatic, right?

It's the reading of what's on the ball.

That's the dramatic part.

How it gets from the hopper to the

announcement, I don't care.

I did have someone this week on the

lunch show say,

Greg hasn't programmed in so long he

wouldn't be able to do it.

I do think he'd need help with time

caps, time domains, some of that stuff,

because he doesn't know any of these

athletes.

I think no matter who does it,

I think it's going to be collaborative.

First of all, they need to be,

if it isn't already clear what,

if all the workouts aren't out,

that info needs to be shared.

Yeah.

So, all right.

A couple quick hitters before we get out

of here.

Um, if you haven't seen, uh,

Carolyn was letting me know Xenom is

coming next weekend and proven sending a

bunch of teams pairs.

If you haven't seen it,

we have Colton and Chris Ibarra.

We have Cara and Olivia, Olivia.

I think Carolyn and Lex should do it.

I think they'd be an awesome team.

I decided not to do the CNOM this

time around.

I messaged them.

The games is just way too close.

I've been competing too much,

although I have an online qualifier for

WFP that following week.

But yeah, just too much traveling.

I will do one.

I will do one eventually, for sure.

I just hope that the WFP qualifiers aren't

as crazy as the Desert City.

I didn't see the Desert City.

Are they crazy?

Yeah,

we were talking about it in our chat

with Lex.

Six of them?

And one of them's a five K row,

like after a workout.

It's a lot.

I haven't looked at the weights.

I think it's kind of heavy, too.

It just seems kind of aggressive for an

online.

I think four would have sufficed.

Far East is still the craziest.

For a qualifier, this is pretty up there.

CrossFit says, Carolyn, probably,

I've been competing too much,

also competing.

Yeah.

Not that my body can't, like,

I'm not injured or anything.

I just, like,

the Games is in a month.

Like, oh.

It came by way faster than I thought.

Normally, like,

once my school year is done,

I have about a month of training as

a full-time athlete.

And, like,

I finish school on Friday this week,

and then I leave for California on

Saturday.

But, like, it's, like, three weeks later.

It's already there.

Yeah,

I don't like that they moved it up.

I'm not a fan of this time frame

at all.

No,

I would have preferred a little bit later,

like two weeks later at least.

Yeah,

I think they moved it into the same

weekend as an F-one race.

Now I don't know what to do.

I'm just kidding.

Yeah,

I need to talk my wife into going

and getting there.

I'm just bummed that like,

I can't go watch you two for most

of the week.

Cause I just,

I didn't know you guys were going to

start so early.

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.

How many events do you think we're going

to have?

They said,

they sent us an email last week that

they'll start releasing it.

I think on June or July six.

Yes.

The workouts.

Do you think we'll get all of them

prior?

No.

That's what I'm trying to talk her into

going, Mark.

How many events do you think we're going

to have, Jamie?

Seven, maybe.

I had it at seven.

And I think seven.

I don't know.

Yeah,

I think they'll do seven because they

lowered the number of athletes per field.

So I think hopefully they figured it out

and can manage it.

Seven with a cut or no cut?

I think no cut.

I think because I think they have the

numbers right.

I think they, I just think,

I don't think you need to be cutting

it.

What I hate about the cut is it

made the last event less relevant.

No more relevant.

Well, they didn't change the scoring.

Yeah, they did.

No.

The person who got fifteenth got fifteenth

points instead of last points.

And that's a problem.

But it's also a problem the other way

if you change the scoring and now that

workout is worth like double,

triple points.

But yeah, hopefully no cuts.

Hopefully lots of events and they're fun

and not all single modalities.

Dave said no cuts for the elites.

That's the way it should be.

You've

Every test matters equally.

Like I'm still not a fan of fifty

point events.

Like like if it's a sprint to me

should not be a fifty points.

Like I don't care if it's a few

seconds.

It's as relevant to me as a ten

K run.

If you're a test,

you run fast when you run long and

fast.

Like it's it's as important.

Why is it only worth fifty points?

Because it's not damaging your body the

same way.

It's a different it's a if it's a

relevant test.

Hundred points.

Or don't work with twenty events.

Yeah, right.

Yeah, I'm sure they'll do.

I think they are kind of anticipating some

of that possibly so.

Wasn't last year like the first time ever

there were no withdrawals?

Because it was all indoor.

We're not scored on time or physical

impact.

It's an equal data point.

Yeah.

All right, guys.

It's been fun.

Gosh, I forgot.

Third Z, ten hours of sleep last night.

I got ten hours.

Solid.

I've been work.

I tamped dirt this weekend.

If you've never done that, it is awful.

It is maybe the best CrossFit workout I've

ever done.

My grip was shot.

And I hit my toe with a tamper

only twice.

But I got ten hours of sleep last

night because I took my Thursday and you

can get yours for fifteen percent off at

Thursday dot com backslash Jazzy.

That's code Jazzy at checkout to get

fifteen percent off.

With that.

Happy Father's Day.

Yes.

Happy Father's Day.

Happy.

If you missed the opening of the show.

I'm going to play the theme song one

more time as we go out with that.

I hope everybody has a great rest of

your little bit of weekend left and great

week coming up.

We'll talk to you soon.

Welcome to the show, it's time to ignite.

Scott's silky smooth voice keeps the vibes

just right.

Caroline on the mic,

wants a star on the ice.

Game's athlete so strong,

keeps the balance precise.

And Jamie's in the house,

the engine full of grit.

Never backing down,

doesn't know the words.

When together they bring the fire,

never say never.

So buckle up friends,

it's burpees forever.

Welcome to Sunday night.
