Welcome to this last episode of the Summer of Becoming series. I've taken you in the past episodes on a series on how to take time and be in that liminal space where you are going to let go of everything that you're not and become more of who you really are and how you express that in life through your business, through offers, through selling, through
content for putting yourself out there. And I'm going to take you today through a couple of insights that I had that I really want to share with you because I think they're so valuable. ⁓ And you can use them in your own journey of becoming that person that you envision yourself to be, not saying that you are already that.
not saying that you are not good enough right now, but we all have these visions and desires and things we want to create and experience next. And I'm all here for it to be the person that is a match with those visions that you have, because I believe you have them for a reason so that you can easily call them in. I planned this episode to be very different when I planned this back two months ago, because I was supposed to go to a beautiful somatic yoga retreat in Pyros, Greece.
And instead I was in the hospital with bronchitis and I was actually, I mean, I wasn't admitted at the hospital, but I ended up being in the hospital, spending a whole day there and then getting diagnosis and then getting my medication. And I was just in bad for the whole week. I was so tired. honestly, it was so frustrating.
I had completely different plans for how I'd map out my summer of becoming and this podcast series. And for a moment I was like, I'm not going to share anything at all. I felt blocked. I'm like this, I had this idea in my mind and it was so different. But then I realized I got to show up. This is part of it because becoming isn't a tidy process, isn't it? It's not just retreats and revelations and beautiful things. Although my life in Portugal looks really nice
But it isn't all that and sometimes it's just lying flat on your back, being sick, forced to slow down and finally being able to see what was there all along. And what I saw is that there's a team that has been coming back this summer, is when things get rough, when things don't go your way, things, life is life thing.
and you feel out of balance, feel out of sorts, you feel out of flow, I think such an intimate question to ask yourself is not how do I always be balanced? How am I always in flow? How do I make sure never goes something goes wrong in my life again? That's just not gonna happen. And that's okay. That's not human experience. But the question is, how do I come back?
How do I come back to be myself, to be in clarity, to be in flow, to be in my body, to literally embody myself? And as I was reflecting on this question, I look back on several years of running one core offer. I've done multiple offers in my business with one core offer for seven years now, and that offer made over one million dollars.
And I'm going to share five truths, five insights that were so important for me realizing in the past week after having that whole summer of becoming that I think can help you too. here, number one is celebrate what's working. We all have this negative bias.
where we don't see what is working and we just focus on what is not working. And I can say it for myself, I do this, I see it in my clients and it's such a pity because we break momentum by not honoring and growing what is working and instead just looking what isn't. So I'm really inviting you to not throw things away, to stop rewriting everything, to stop throwing away what is working and build on what is. Did you do?
a master class funnel that you build the whole thing and you had two sales and you feel like, it should have been 10 sales and then you throw it away. No, you had two sales, you validated something. Do it again, do it again, make it better, make it improve it and go on that path rather than now I'm going to do something very different. I'll do a small ticket course or I'll do this or that. All these things are going to require for you to focus on what's working.
and then build on that and then make one thing really working and then build something else. what I was really reminded of is that you can't build momentum from self doubt and attacking what you have done and what you do. You have to look at what is already working, the clients you've held, the systems that do flow. Doesn't matter what stage you're at, anything that is already flowing and the genius that is already inside you, everything that you've
you're doing. Sometimes I think, who am I to teach this? like, wait a minute. I've been studying this. I've been working on this. I've been on one journey for like over 25 years, maybe longer. ⁓ And that is how much you are prepared and how much genius that is inside of you. So often you don't need a reinvention. You just need a deeper reintegration. And that's point one. Celebrate what working and build on what is working. So insight number two.
Your work is deeper than you think. When I was sitting with what it is that I've been taking clients on and looking at clients that I've taken on this journey over the past seven years, so many of them, I saw that people come to me for business and strategy and clarity and a subconscious work, of course. And then we enter a vortex and the work is actually so much deeper. It's a transformation of identity.
a return to self, a permission slip to fully express. And that expression is one of the things we express ourselves is through business. And that word business doesn't maybe feel like creativity, like I express myself in a song, I express myself in dancing, or express myself in painting. But why not? Business is that too. It's just an expression of you, an
offering that you give that people can receive. So when we see that and we really see how big that inner journey is so that what you can express out feels so authentic and so you, that is the rite of passage that I take my clients on. And when I realized that, was like, wow, I have to own that. Owning that is going to help me talk about it. It's going to help me sell it, but it's also going to help me hold even better space for my clients.
knowing that they are going through real big transformations and I'm here, I'm not afraid of it, I'm here for anything that comes up, I'm here to hold it and I'm here to help them become step into that really empowered version of themselves. So for you, if you think of what you offer, I invite you to ask yourself, what is it?
that I really take my clients through? What is that bigger transformation that they go through? And how do I do that? And really love that and own that.
Point number three, if you've been hiding, this is your sign to come back because I realized that in the past, so I built my business organically on Facebook. That's what I did in like 2018, 2017, 18, 19, build my business with organic content on Facebook and challenges and everything I did through organic stuff on Facebook. And then I learned how to run ads.
learned how to build a webinar funnel and it's been working so well, I can happily say is that I just have to run the ads and get the webinar filled up and we'll be selling. So it was very comfortable and very nice and I wanted that simplicity and I teach my clients that and I love it. But because of that, I've gotten a little bit, I would say flaky in showing up organically on socials.
Which in a way was the dream for me. like, I don't want to be on social media. I don't want to do this all the time. And it's good. And then I realized, you know what, I actually miss it. And what do I miss about it? I miss the creative work of writing the posts, of finding words and expressing, again, that word's expression, expressing my thoughts, my opinions on things, my message that I want to share. It's such a beautiful creative process, actually.
to share that and then connect with the right people. I think at one point I just saw social media as a have to do it formulaic, I outsourced it, I did all kinds of things with it and I feel an inner urge and I'm so happy to say that because that's where it should come from, an inner urge to share my stories on socials and find my way to do that. So here is for you, if you feel anyway blocked or it's hard for you to be consistent on the socials or you're doing it but you're not getting much traction,
I invite you to really start looking for those two things of I'm expressing my inner creative process of what I really want to share with the world.
two is what connections do I want to create? How can I do this so that I'm like an artist going into that artist's mind? Like I have a little experience and his ideas and his thoughts and I'm not making a painting in this case. I'm not ⁓ I'm not singing a song. Maybe you are on the socials.
but I'm creating social media content and I'm going to do it really my way. And I'm going to do it in that in an artistic way where I alchemize what is in me and express it outwardly because the act of that expression and that creative process will teach you about will show, reflect back to you where you are at and what it is really is that you want to say. Just doing it will make you more clear. And
when you do that, you get in conversation and connection with other people. So you create community, you create a field, you create a wider field of possibility and connection and expansion. So I'm seeing social media through a new lens and I'm really excited to share my self through that medium.
Point number four, speak your truth. even when it is uncomfortable. to that part of where I wasn't expressing myself anymore on the socials, I also felt I have been not talking about certain things. And one topic that I haven't been talking about as much as I did in the beginning is money. And I really love it. And people have, you know, thanked me for it because I really help my clients to see
how they can stop under earning, how they can really charge rates that are in alignment with the value and what they give and with their life that they want to create and everything. And which attracts the right clients as well, the right committed clients. So I am so passionate about this because I'm passionate about us sensitive, multi-skilled.
soft skills people out there that are changing people's lives, that are helping them with embodiment or self-development or whatever it is, leadership that you do is so important that we get out there and to get out there we need to receive the money because the money is fuel, it is energy and it's one of the things that I talked about with so much passion until I got backlash and I honestly got most backlash from people that knew me.
from years ago, from when I was still working in theater and in dance and having more of an artist mindset where I wasn't making a lot of money, I would get subsidies to create performances, right? Such a different model. But people for some reason really reacted to that. So I lost some friends. I had people really judging me about it. And I think somewhere that started eating at me, you know how you cannot show up because that one person that you know is always like a judgment in your mind, even when you're writing. And I just want to say I'm so done with that.
I reconnected with like, what is it touching on me? there was a fear of not being a good person if I talk about money.
not being a good person when I talk about money, of not being a good person when I want more money, of not being a good person when I make more money. I sat with that. I was like, wait a minute, this is, you know, I've been pulled back in old beliefs that are not mine. I really, really believe there's an abundance of money. Money doesn't exist. It's moving around.
in the world all the time it is an energy that we can tap into and I want us to tap into it because money is possibility, it is fuel, it allows us to stress ourselves outwards and all that good stuff. So this is one of my topics that I noticed that was blocking me to talk about it.
my question is to you, is there anybody in your mind that has criticized something, that has said something about something that you ever said, and therefore you're like kind of shutting up about it, where you feel like I should really, I really want to talk about this topic again. So that was point number four. Point number five is clarity comes from action.
thought and that is such an important one I'm glad I gave myself some time to rest and heal this summer I had a beautiful summer I did so many fun things I didn't post them on the socials to the point that people said are you okay but I was okay ⁓ and I such a fun time and I was it was also good that today I had to record this podcast that I'm like now I have to go do it again
even if it doesn't all feel finished and polished, I'm here, I'm out there. Because if else I do feel myself slipping into thinking about what is my brand, thinking about what should I do this, what should I do here? And it's about doing it also, shipping it, sharing it, sharing it with others and in a way daring to grow up in public that next level of growing.
clarity comes from ⁓ action, not thought. So important. So to summarize the five insights that I had that might help you is one, when you are transforming and changing and evolving.
one, celebrate what's working, stop rewriting the whole thing. So make sure that you see what is going well, that you don't let your negativity bias in your brain take you to what isn't working and then build on what is. Two, your work is deeper than you think and own that.
see the real deeper transformation you create for your clients, reconnect with it and own it. Three, if you've been hiding in visibility, even if that's on some level, this is your sign to come back and find the reason, the connection to why you love visibility. That may be that at a social media, it might be public speaking partnerships, guest defense, ads, whatever it is for you, but connect with that and show up. Then four,
Speak your truth, even when it is uncomfortable. We want to know the real you. Blend your values into your brand. Yes, some people might not like it, but others might like it much more. So you are going to want to show up and share with us what you believe in in your brand. And at number five, clarity comes from action, not thought. If you find yourself in a space where you are mainly overthinking,
then make sure that you go do something, talk to somebody, put something out there. Don't have it, doesn't have to be perfect, but make sure that you are in action. So I'm, thank you for listening to my last episode of the series of becoming. I will sharing in the next episodes way more about the changes, the shifts, the integrations, the involvement of my brand and what that looks like.
