What is Charted?

Like a master surveyor, Jesus gives us clear directions to find a fulfilling, purpose-filled relationship with Himself - a map to the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Charted is a daily devotional written by the junior class at Fountainview Academy (Class of 2019). Based on the book Steps to Christ, this book explores the path to the Originator and Provider of Genuine Joy. We don't have to be confused about the way. The certainty is in the journey: divinely Charted.

No calamity can befall the least of His children, no anxiety harass
the soul, no joy cheer, no sincere prayer escape the lips, of which our
heavenly Father is unobservant, or in which He takes no immediate
interest. – Steps to Christ, pg. 100
Relief and gratefulness filled my heart, for the weekend had
finally arrived. “Ahh, I’m so glad that it’s Friday,” I happily exclaimed to
one of my friends. With the morning’s school work all accomplished, I
had a challenging duty to face. Armed with determination, I marched
towards the cafeteria.
Seeing the gigantic mountain of dishes stacked on the lengthy
metal counter tops, my heart grew desperate. Conscious that we—
all the workers—really needed help in order to get done on time, I
hurriedly stated to the others: “Guys, let’s start with a word of prayer.”
After asking my Father for help, we all raced off to tackle the dishes.
With a resolute mind, I poured all my effort into rinsing them.
At last, we finally gained victory! We had conquered all the
dishes on time. Leaving the cafeteria in triumph, one of my friends
declared, “We finished on time, and it was because of prayer!”
“Yeah,” I replied with a smile, realizing that what she just
spoke was an accurate summary of the situation.
Although it might’ve seemed like such a small, unimportant
request for God to take notice, it was obvious that God answered our
prayer. Just as He cared about this little matter, He takes notice of all
the little things in life.
