Murray Sabrin (00:01.708)
Welcome to Health, Wealth, and the Pursuit of Happiness. I'm Murray Sabrin, B A A Ph D. There's No BS in My Background, never has been and never will be. On this podcast, we explore the ideas, people, and principles that shape healthier lives, greater prosperity, and human flourishing. In each episode, we'll challenge conventional wisdom on healthcare, economics, politics, and personal freedom so you can think independently, make better decisions.

And pursue your happiness. Thank you for joining us today, July 30th, 2026. Before I introduce our guest, a great guest with a wonderful new book out, Michael Smith, I just want to talk about a the report card of American People's Health and what it's costing us to stay healthy. And this is from the government's own fact sheet, the NHE fact sheet, National Health Expenditures Fact Sheet. And it's really a remarkable document.

In 2024, the American people spent $5.3 trillion on health care or medical care, which is 18% of the gross domestic product, more than by far of any nation in the world. This spending is growing through Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance. And the question is, are we healthier for it? Well, I then looked up another document to give us some context of why health is so important.

To our lives of children and our grandchildren and future generations. This is another fact sheet on chronic illness. And when I first saw this many years ago, and I put some of this data in my books on healthcare, I said, we have a serious problem in America that's not being addressed. Six in ten adults have at least one chronic illness. Four in ten adults have two or more chronic illnesses.

And here's an incredible statistic. Over 1.5 billion people worldwide live with a chronic condition. That's according to the World Health Organization. And what is a chronic illness? That is a condition that lasts three months or longer, or is expected to last a lifetime. So the question we have to ask is why does a chronic illness have to last a lifetime? So we have our guest today, Michael L. Smith.

Murray Sabrin (02:24.352)
And Michael is an author, he's a speaker, he's a healthpreneur, and is the founder of Presentgevity. We'll talk about what that is all about. He's also the CEO of Peak Wellbeing.live and PeakSTemcells.com. Michael is a graduate of the University of Utah with a degree in behavioral science and health. He also did graduate level studies in Future Healthcare and Singularity University.

At NSA Ames in Mountain View, California. He's also the author of a wonderful book, which we'll talk about Get Wealthy: an investor's guide to extraordinary health money can buy, where he makes the case that you should be allocating a portion of your wealth to improving your health. His mission is to improve and inspire what makes people healthy. And so with that, Michael, welcome to Health, Wealth, and the Pursuit of Happiness.

Michael Smith (03:21.107)
Thank you, Murray. It's great to be here.

Murray Sabrin (03:23.626)
when I read this book, Michael, and thank you for sending it to me so we could have a conversation. whenever I invite an author, I want to read their material because I think it's disrespectful to try to have a conversation with an author without reading their book. So thank you for sending to me. And it's a book that I really couldn't put down because I was learning page by page about how to improve your health. And you have some very interesting concepts about that. And one thing you talk about is biological age.

So what's the difference between biological age and chronological age?

Michael Smith (03:56.724)
Big difference. And your chronological age is easy. That's the number of candles on your birthday cake, how many years you've been on the planet. Your biological age isn't necessarily so easy to tell unless you have the right type of testing. And the type of testing that we recommend one do is called epigenetic testing. And we use the true diagnostics, true age, and true health tests to really look at what your

Murray Sabrin (04:04.031)
huh.

Michael Smith (04:26.683)
your genes, not just your genes, your your epigenetics, which epigenetics are turned on and which are turned off, which determine not just your biological age, but we also give you eleven separate organ ages. Your heart has an age, your liver has an age, your kidneys, your brain, to so that you have a baseline of where am I? 'Cause really to answer the question, Are you healthy? Most people will say, Yeah, I'm fine.

But they really don't know what's going on behind the mirror. Or I like to say behind the driver's license. If you look at your driver's license, you have your date of birth. That's your chronological age. You have your expiration date. Hopefully that's not the date you expire, but just your license. But what's behind the picture? What's behind on the backside of your license? What's going on inside of your body in your biology? And and that's what the

the epigenetic biological age testing gives you.

Murray Sabrin (05:27.714)
Now in in your book you write why you wrote this book and it it has to do with a personal tragedy tr tragedy in your life. Could you discuss that and g give people understanding your motive for writing this book and being so involved in this issue?

Michael Smith (05:46.602)
Yes, then and thank you for inviting me to share my my story about my brother. And it's just been over six years since I got the the phone call that changed my life and the lives of our family, his his kids forever. And and he'd been out mountain biking with one of his sons, just out in the foothills of of Salt Lake City where I live. And he

The the first call I got was from my sister. She said Rick's dead. He was fifty two at the time, six years ago. Turns out that he didn't hit his head. His autopsy a month later revealed that he had had cardiovascular coronary artery disease.

and had suffered a a major heart attack and had died. And that his death was preventable. And that that month period from going from an accident where there's nothing anyone could have done

Thirty days later, finding out from an autopsy that he had 80 to 95% stenosis of a c of his coronary arteries, of blockages of of plaque in his his coronary arteries, made all the difference to me because then it made it personal, made it genetic, made it, well, what's going on inside of me? And you from my background, I have a background in behavioral science and health. I I knew what preventative care looked like. Had I been doing it, I was 49 at the time. No.

I had not. I had the dad bought. I was what many Americans are already on is called pal palliative care. They don't understand that pal palliative care means that they're on com what will make you comfortable. Many people are just doing what makes you comfortable. Does eating comfort food make you comfortable? Does sitting on the couch make you comfortable? Anyway, I was right there at 49, thought I was invincible.

Michael Smith (08:03.901)
His death was my wake up call. I read all these books behind me of Dean Orange, Caldwell S and T. Colin Campbell, Michael Greger, and many others about how to undo it, stop, prevent, reverse heart disease. Number one killer worldwide, number one killer of Americans. Of age sixty-five and older, accidents is actually the number one killer from age one to forty-four, and cancer from forty-five to sixty-four.

Murray Sabrin (08:30.03)
So let me ask you this, Michael. You according to what I read in the book, your brother seemed to be in pretty good health, yet he had no symptoms that they had any heart issue.

Michael Smith (08:42.033)
Most people's first sign or symptom of heart disease for many people is death.

I mean let that s sink in. I mean

Yes, you can have your cholesterol checked and you can be on a statin and think that you're fine, but the testing that primary care doctors do is not sufficient for really what's going on with your health. You need to know about your high sensitivity high sensitivity C reactive protein, which is HS C RP. You need to know your lipoprotein little A. You need to know your apple lipoprotein B, homocysteine levels, things that primary care doctors don't even look at.

Murray Sabrin (09:25.23)
Do cardiologists look at this all too?

Michael Smith (09:27.749)
If you can see one, they they they know how to to but you have to be referred to a a specialist in the current healthcare system and then to make that appointment and and to go to it. The best way to to address your if you want to have optimal health is step out of conventional medicine into longevity and prevent and preventative medicine, where you need to take more responsibility for your health.

And find the right practice practitioners that can offer you the right tests to be able to to get the

Test done to find out what's really going on with you.

Murray Sabrin (10:12.632)
So the question is, why aren't doctors, either primary care doctors or cardiologists, trained to order order these tests for people who are obese? Because we know forty percent of the American adults are obese, and that is probably one of the primary causes of heart disease. So yet we have all these markers that you talked about. So why hasn't that information either trickled up or trickled down to the medical profession?

Michael Smith (10:41.639)
Well, I think it has. You you read this the numbers right at the beginning. If you're in a for-profit system, treating chronic illnesses is very profitable. Curing them is not. And so having I don't mean to be cynical. I just think that traditional Western medicine is wonderful for saving lives for acute care. But as far as what I call

Foundational medicine, what you do at home on a daily basis, is on you to learn. W how much anatomy do you understand? How much of this beautiful body and how it works when you put something in this side and it goes out the other side, do you know what happens to it? Everything that you are is from what you have ingested and and eaten, as well as you know, you are what you ate, but you are also what you ate ate. So when you eat animal protein, are you eating the highest quality?

Murray Sabrin (11:13.39)
Hm.

Michael Smith (11:41.403)
Are you eating animal protein that's full of hormones that was that was grown in a fashion for the fastest ability to get to market with the the the plumpest chicken breasts that are just full of things that you don't want in you?

Murray Sabrin (11:59.247)
So so the question then becomes is where can people get this information as to what they should eat and what they should not eat in order to optimize their health?

Michael Smith (12:09.683)
Well, there's two two ways about going it, the slow way, the fast way. You can read all these books like I did, that you see behind me, and and self study, make it a a lifetime practice, or you can find someone who can give you the cheat codes and to give you the information. I go over a lot of it in in my book and in get wealthy. And also we have a a program where we work with people to get their baseline.

biological age as well as well as we we can do a full workup of of health span markers, the blood work, DEXA scan, VO2 Max. We do EKGs both at rest as well as peak EKGs. We start with the heart, number one killer worldwide, and then we'll go to the gut. Your gut health has so much to do with your brain health. 80% of your serotonin

fifty percent of your dopamine is produced in your gut that runs your brain. So if you don't have a good microbiome going working for you, it's working against you. And just learning these numbers a I like to think of it it's like the difference do you fly a a plane, do you have a a pilot's license, Marie?

Murray Sabrin (13:25.302)
No, I'm grounded. I mean, we used to travel a lot. we haven't traveled since my wife's had some health issues and and one of our goals in when I retired six years ago was to do more traveling, but that's become very problematic at this point. And besides, the airports and the airplanes are a real hassle these days from what I the news reports that I get about the lines at the TSA and the airplanes are probably not the

Michael Smith (13:26.907)
Yeah.

Murray Sabrin (13:53.752)
healthiest places in in the world to be on her long flight.

Michael Smith (13:58.08)
Well you bring up a couple of really important things just there and th the first one is you know that I like to to give the analogy for health is the difference between visual rated flight and instrument rated flight. You know, if you're a pilot you can get a the a rating that allows you to fly on on fair weather days looking out the window and navigating just fine and using landmarks and and what's out the window. When that comes to your health, that equates to looking in the number one

Murray Sabrin (14:12.202)
okay.

Michael Smith (14:28.575)
device that people use for determining if they're healthy. I call it the mirror. They look at the mirror like, I'm not too bad. Or they look at the this number two device is the bathroom scale. Well it's not as good as it used to be, but I'm still better than some. However, the instrument-rated flight, if you've looked into the cockpit of a commercial jet or other planes that have all the knobs and and buttons, if you

Our bodies have the similar type of of information and dials that you can access if you know what tests to get done, so that you know which markers to to index on for improving your health. And for me, cardiovascular risk is obviously my number one risk factor. For other people, it might be cancer. For other people, it might be neurodegenerative conditions, dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's. And so really knowing your family history and

And we go over that in the book, that you know, what is it that i is in your portfolio of health that and that you have both working for and against you and to manage it accordingly. But the other thing you said is about being able to to travel and in go places versus you know, there's a great book over here called Die With Zero.

about making sure you do the things you want to do while you still are in your go years before your slow years before your no go years. And and that is part of the the concept in present jevity instead of longevity.

Murray Sabrin (15:56.492)
Mm-hmm.

Murray Sabrin (16:11.134)
That's f that's fascinating. So the question becomes then, how do you get your biological age? Can people do it anywhere in the country or do they have to go to your organization, institute to to get that information from the different testing?

Michael Smith (16:25.779)
it's a that's great. It's a do-it-home test. It's a simple finger stick for from and you get a little blotch of blood and they can order it from our website, get wealthy, spelled with a get wealthy healthy, putting health and wealth. And we have a special promotion. It's normally eight hundred and fifty dollar test, they can get it for under five hundred on on our website. We'll send it to you. They can send off the results to the lab.

And find out anywhere in the country.

Murray Sabrin (16:59.534)
So th that one little blood sample will tell you everything that you mentioned earlier regarding the the blood chemistry that will could be a marker for illness that's unfolding.

Michael Smith (17:15.931)
It is and I at first I was very skeptical. I'm like ha this is crazy. How can you get that much information? And every cell in our body contains the DNA of our entire self. And they're literally looking at it at that level and the DNA you can't do anything about your genes, but your epigenetics is a word that means above the genes.

is what makes all the difference into how fast we're aging, which genes are being expressed, which genes are turned off. My risk factors were identical to my brothers when I first looked and started getting tests and figuring out the testing my my primary care doctor was offering was completely inadequate.

Now my risk for heart disease is near zero. This last year I had a corn a computed tomography angiogram. It's called a CTA, where they actually look at the the arteries of the heart, and I have zero plaque in my coronary arteries.

Murray Sabrin (18:31.052)
Okay, so the question is, how did that happen? Do you know what how much plaque you had before you had the test done?

Michael Smith (18:37.425)
I d I don't know how much I had before, but I do know that my brother's cholesterol levels and mine were identical six years ago. I did a a very strict detox in one of these books that a friend of mine wrote called Ancient Secrets of a Master Healer that it uses a Cita Veta medicine approach that in thirty days I re went I reduced my cholesterol from two sixty-three

To 136. I reduced my inflammation marker by 72% of my high sensitivity C reactive protein. And it took me five years to be able to get a CTA scan. You don't, you can't just walk in. I had a fake chest pain to be able to get a CTA scan done. And it was worth it. My I did get get what's called a coronary artery calcium test done.

about a year after my brother passed and I was actually very scared to get it done to find out what I might have. And it turned out that my calcium score was zero. And it is a huge relief to find out that you're doing the right things and what you're doing's working. And that's one of the things that that we do at at Peak Well Being is

Murray Sabrin (19:47.054)
Hmm.

Michael Smith (20:02.164)
We help you to really focus on those things that that you when you allocate resources and funds towards investing in your health, that you are investing in the things that really matter and are checking the boxes you need to be checking systematically so that you have the best life. Because I'll tell you this, Murray. People have asked, well, could you tell a before and after?

You started taking care of yourself. I said I could only tell an after because my before I was so used to feeling bad and just sluggish and low energy and yawning. But once you get healthy and you feel good, then you just you can't believe that you didn't do it sooner. Other longevity doctors said they've never had someone say, I wish I waited longer before I got started.

Murray Sabrin (20:51.426)
Yeah.

Michael Smith (20:59.902)
They've never heard those words.

Murray Sabrin (21:00.12)
So let's so let let's go through life's journey, which is what everyone who is my age, which is the same as Donald Trump, believe it or not. And if you look at Donald Trump, he looks like his chronicle age is a lot lower than his biological age. what do you think about that?

Michael Smith (21:20.576)
Well, I think yours looks a lot younger. I would not have guessed that you're eighty.

Murray Sabrin (21:25.836)
Well, I'll be 80 in in five months, I guess it is. And I had a calcium test done I don't know, 10 years ago, 12 years ago. And at that time it showed that my carotid artery was that of a 40 year old. So I don't know what's happened in the 10 years since. But I again, my my my challenge now is to lose about seven to ten pounds. may maybe not as ten, but seven would be very helpful because I do feel sluggish midday.

Michael Smith (21:28.826)
Ha ha.

Murray Sabrin (21:54.605)
I do sometimes get a little sleepy after dinner and I try to do as much walking as possible. As you know, I'm at the computer a lot, looking up articles for my Substack and and finding guests for this for the podcast. And when I came across your work, I said, I've gotta have you on because what you're doing is the the full theme of health, wealth and pursuit of happiness. If you're not healthy, your wealth is gonna suffer.

And if your wealth is going to suffer and your health's going to suffer, how can you pursue your happiness? So what you've done is a great public service for the American people. And so let's talk about some specifics if if if we can about what people should be doing in their 20s, in their midlife, and as they get to retirement and in retirement. What should people be doing in terms of the protocols that would increase their or reduce their biological age?

Michael Smith (22:52.766)
I love that question. Thank you. After my transformation from not thinking about health to investing in my health, we're talking about how soon should people start? I was I was almost fifty, I turned fifty shortly after my brother's passing. And I think people in their fifties start paying attention because they start losing people.

Murray Sabrin (23:19.374)
Mm-hmm.

Michael Smith (23:21.416)
I said, well, it'd be great if people started in their forties. Well, maybe they should start in their thirties. And my my son said, Well, what if they started when they're 19? He was nineteen at the time. Why wouldn't we st at nineteen or even before nineteen and start and having the healthiest people on the planet? You know, one thing Americans are known for being the largest people on the planet.

Murray Sabrin (23:46.679)
It's it's it's really unbelievable. I mean, I think there's a study that ranks states by obesity and some of the southern states have very high obesity levels because of of whatever reasons there are. And we know it's primarily for food.

Michael Smith (24:06.078)
My understanding is that where they like to have the the fried foods the the most is where they have the most metabolic syndrome.

Murray Sabrin (24:14.636)
And I think Utah is one of the healthiest states in the country.

Michael Smith (24:18.31)
It is, but we also have one of the highest consuming populations of ice cream. And we yes. So we're we're you know, Loma Linda, California is one of the blue zones on the planet. You can see the blue zone book over here. And that's because of the Seventh day Adventists that follow a plant based lifestyle that live in Loma Linda.

Murray Sabrin (24:23.31)
Is that right?

Murray Sabrin (24:41.002)
Mm. And th there are I remember seeing an article of where there are so many centurions around the c world, people who live to a hundred or more, and their lifestyle is primarily fish and and vegetables and a lot of walking, a lot of walking, no sedentary lifestyle and

Are there other things that contribute to longevity?

Michael Smith (25:12.126)
Yes, in fact, I'd love to talk about the top two things and in reverse order. And the number two thing that anyone can do is to improve your sleep. Most people sleep terribly, waking up all night, going to the bathroom, mind racing, 3 a.m. worrying. We have a amazing protocol. I call it radical gratitude deep sleep to help people.

Murray Sabrin (25:17.025)
Okay.

Murray Sabrin (25:23.66)
Michael Smith (25:40.341)
Go to sleep and stay asleep. And there's a add-on practice in the morning called radical gratitude deep awakening. And I'll just briefly describe it as before going to bed, you kneel at the side of your your bed instead of saying your prayers, you say your gratitudes, or in addition to. And prayer often can create anxiety of I wish this the world to be better than it is, or I wish for

Murray Sabrin (25:59.063)
Mm.

Michael Smith (26:10.634)
Take care of the kids, the grandkids, or the grandparents, whoever you're praying for, you're thinking about all the things that make you anxious, and then go to bed. It's not the best way to go to bed having all those things on your mind. But if you say your gratitudes, right write down and and just say the things you're grateful out loud on your knees on the side of your bed in the somatic expression of humility and and of gratitude, it changes the default mode network of the brain.

To just say thank you for this day. And there's a Jewish prayer that we teach people that whether they're Jewish or not, to say in the morning, it's a hand on a ch your chest to say, Thank you for restoring my soul. We don't know where we go at night and when we sleep. Science has no idea where the what happens to the brain and the and the body during deep sleep. We know that we're actually clearing out the gymphatic waste of

Murray Sabrin (27:07.086)
Mm-hmm.

Michael Smith (27:07.828)
The brain of thinking. They only discovered the lymphatic system in 2012. I mean, that's only 14 years we've even known about this. Most people are going through life mentally constipated because they're not getting enough deep sleep to clear out the brain waste of all the thoughts they thought yesterday and they're still repeating them today. And you know, the the hand on the the chest to say, thank you for restoring my soul.

Thank you for entrusting me with one more day again on your knees to say thank you for this day. Thank you for for the being for for what I get to experience in this life. It reframes what you're looking for for all day because you know you're gonna end your day on your knees talking about your gratitudes. And so that helps you sleep soundly. It helps you relax into sleep. Your mind's not racing with your to-do list.

Murray Sabrin (28:03.246)
Mm-hmm.

Michael Smith (28:03.41)
It's great to do a brain dump about an hour before of the things you didn't get done today. So your brain says, Okay, I don't have to think about They're on the page. But sleep fixing your sleep is number two of the best thing you can do for longevity. Number one, I love this one. The number one thing that anyone can do is practice love and connection in your life. A heart wasn't meant just to pump your blood, it was meant to be used to love people.

And the more love and connection you have in your life. The longest study on longevity ever from Harvard that has shown you can have terrible lifestyle habits. But if you love people and you have connection in all those blue zones where they have the Mediterranean diet and they're walking, they also have friends to spend time building connections, social connections. We're social beings, we need other people in our lives. And if you have friends, and we're also in an epidemic of

Loneliness worldwide. The pandemic accelerated that. But the more love and connection you have, and Dean Ornish talks about this for his heart disease program. He says you need to eat well, you need to move more, stress less, and love more. And that's such an exciting component to add to your stack of things to do.

Murray Sabrin (29:04.098)
Mm-hmm.

Murray Sabrin (29:24.088)
And the amazing thing about it, we're not talking about major expenditures. Everybody could do it, no matter what your socioeconomic status is, because it doesn't take a lot to do all the things you do. Finding good food is really just going to the supermarket and reading labels and making sure your vegetables and fruits don't have the pesticides and clean them up with a good product to get rid of the residue from pesticides that's in the on the farmland.

So these are all just common sense things that people do, and yet we have chronic illness. It's really an epidemic of chronic illness, and people were talking about COVID as an epidemic. We have an an ongoing epidemic that's costing five trillion dollars a year. And as you pointed out, the medical profession is really trained to treat illness rather than eliminate illness. And so here is, I think, the conundrum that we're facing as individuals. How do we get

Our primary care doctors, and again, whatever you hear today, folks, check with your primary care doctor and and see if they're on board with the protocols that Michael is talking about, because this is just common sense. This is not something that was cooked up recently. what is it, Hippocratic oath, do no harm and that let food be thy medicine. I mean, that's really the essence of of traditional non-Western medicine.

practices is that food is the most one of the most critical elements in our life because what we put in our what we put in our bodies will affect our bodies. So again, we know things you shouldn't be eating. In your book, do you discuss the things that we should eliminate from our diet?

Michael Smith (31:08.156)
Exactly. The you know, there's things you can do to proactively h help you, but even before that is you need to cut out the things that can can be working against you. And one of the things that the true age true health test also will s will show you, give you a score of the amount of residual pesticides in your body, of glyphosate. And my father, who's about to turn eighty-four, just took the true age test and reviewed his results this week with him.

Murray Sabrin (31:27.446)
Mm.

Michael Smith (31:38.034)
And his glyphosate score was almost as high as it goes. I hope he doesn't mind me sharing that. I said, Dad, you need to buy organic He's like, Yeah, but that food costs more. I'm like

You're gonna pay the same amount of money to the doctor or have an early demise, which would you rather have? And not, you know, one of the greatest determinants of health is a social determinant of health. If you can only afford to eat off the dollar menu, you're not gonna have good health. But for those people who do have a level of affluence and a level of wealth, there's never been a time to to like before

Murray Sabrin (32:02.072)
Hm.

Michael Smith (32:19.584)
To achieve extraordinary health. And that's really what I highlight in the in the book. Yes, there's the foundational practices that everybody can do, but there are practices such as peptides, stem cells, of exosomes that are they're not cheap, they're cheaper than they used to be. Even this test for for knowing your biological age used to be over $100,000. Now it's a few hundred dollars.

Murray Sabrin (32:47.662)
That that is a big improv. This is one of the wonderful things about the market economies that prices tend to go down and people in Washington have this notion that 2% inflation is somehow wonderful a wonderful thing to have. So that's a topic for another day. And I've been writing about this for a long, long time. So what's the so let's leave the audience with something the three things that they should be doing as takeaways from our discussion.

First of all, I guess they should buy your book. it's it's just a wonderful overview of all the things that you've discussed. So why don't you hold up the book again so people can see where they can the title of it, Get Wealth, an investor's guide to extraordinary health, money can buy. And it's available on Amazon, I assume.

Michael Smith (33:18.442)
Yeah.

Michael Smith (33:33.833)
Yes, it's on Amazon. And if they go to the getwealthy dot com website, they can can get the true age test there and also schedule a call. If you're just interested in wanting to know what about your situation, th y you can schedule a call with us, jump on a fifteen minute call just to talk about what your goals are and and where you're at and it and if we can help you. But

You know, the the one thing you mentioned too about traditional care doctors, a lot of them don't have any training in how to prevent disease. They're very well trained in the the traditional medicine formula is tell me your HX, I'll give you a DX, and then you get an RX or a TX. And then you break that down. An HX is your health history. Tell me your health history.

I'll give you a DX, a diagnosis, tell you what disease you have, and then you get an RX, a prescription, or a TX, a a procedure, a a surgery or or some other intervention.

That model is not built on what I call PX, a prevention model of how do we prevent disease. The amount of nutrition training most people have heard in medical school is less than one to four hours of of what you said. Hippocrates said, let thy food be thy medicine, thy medicine thy food. They teach let the pharmaceutical be thy medicine and let the medicine be a pharmaceutical drug.

That's a a a huge difference. So the number one thing I would say for the three takeaways, take responsibility for your own health. Nobody is going to care more about your health than you. And if you don't care about you, don't think your doctor's going to. I got a little extra th thumbs up there. That is is going to care more about your your health than you. So ask yourself, you know, how much do you know about your health? How interested are you? Are you

Michael Smith (35:41.193)
Are you in the the waiting room for the emergency room right now? Or are you doing things on a daily basis? And number two is that that for longevity, stop thinking of how many years you want to live. Start thinking about how you're gonna live today. And I like to talk about the term day span. And that today is the only day that matters in your longevity plan. Now, did you eat the way you're supposed to eat?

Did you hydrate? Did you move your body? Did you love people the way that you are hardwired? You know, here's a a free tip for some free stem cells for everybody. If you hug someone you love for six seconds, you create heart coherence. Your heart actually syncs up with theirs and your heartbeats start beating together. If you hug them for 20 or more seconds, your body releases a hormone called oxytocin that releases

What's called

epig or epithelial cardial cardiac cells epit and and you can actually create new cardiomyocytes, new heart cells from these progenitor cells that that are released when you give someone a loved one a hug for 20 seconds. So that saves you several thousand dollars.

And so if you're yeah, you know someone you love, say, I'm coming in for twenty seconds. What here goes. This is this isn't just for you, it's for me. I I need these. And the third thing I would say is is to enjoy your life. To really enjoy your life with the people you love. And you know, the the stress, the pressure, the thoughts that people think create all sorts of inflammation in the body and and we're inflammaging.

Murray Sabrin (37:13.451)
Mm-hmm.

Murray Sabrin (37:18.7)
This is great. This is great. Mike

Michael Smith (37:37.642)
We're inflammaging out. There's too much stress and worry. You know, we're we might not be here for a a long time as the country song goes, but we're here for a good time. Make sure you have a good time with life, with the people you love.

Murray Sabrin (37:50.552)
Thank you, Michael. everybody who's watching or listening, check with your primary care doctor to discuss the issues that Michael has brought up to increase your well being, reduce your biological age, and pursue health, wealth and happiness. This is what it's all about. So again, thank you for listening. Thank you, Michael, for this great discussion. And hopefully people will go to the website, borrow your book.

and learn more about it. So again, until next time, keep questioning conventional wisdom, keep pursuing truth, and keep striving for a healthier, freer, more prosperous life. See you next week when we'll talk about investments with our with our special guest, Jeff Dist. Thank you and good night.

Michael Smith (38:33.386)
