A hearty Shalom Aleichem to everyone! Today, we delve into the Tanya, the foundational work of Chabad Chassidus, by Rabbi Schneur Zalman of Liadi.
In Chapter 13, the Alter Rebbe discusses the concept of "Merkavah," the mystical Chariot, suggesting that every Jew has the capacity to become a Merkavah for the divine will. To relate this to our everyday lives, let's consider our actions. Each day, we make decisions, perform actions, speak words, and harbor thoughts. The Rebbe teaches that we can transform these mundane actions into spiritual ones, by aligning them with the divine will.
Imagine if every word we spoke or every action we took was an expression of the divine will. This is not an unreachable ideal, but a capacity the Rebbe assures us each one of us possesses. This is the essence of serving G-d with all our heart, soul, and might, transforming our mundane into the divine.
In our everyday interactions, let's strive to become a Merkavah, a chariot for G-d's will. Whether it's choosing kind words over harsh ones, offering help to a neighbor, or dedicating time to study Torah, every action can be a vehicle for the divine will, elevating not just ourselves but the world around us.
Next time you face a decision, remember this teaching. Ask yourself: how can this be a Merkavah moment? You'll find that when you align your actions with the divine will, you're not just living life, but elevating it.
