Edna Harding [00:00:47]:
Thank you for tuning in for another episode of the Esspreneur podcast. My name is Edna Harding, all the way from Madison, Alabama, recording here live in my studio at home. I've always wanted to say that, but anyway, just. Welcome, guys. Welcome, welcome, welcome, welcome. If you're new here, we in this podcast, we talk business and life God's way. I've been doing this for a very long time. Well, not very long time, since 2014.
Edna Harding [00:01:15]:
And I'm so excited to be able to utilize this podcast as a way to share valuable information, valuable knowledge that's going to transform your business and life for free. This is probably one of the only things that I have for free. I do have some free trainings, but if you guys are in that season where money's a bit tight, this is a great way for you guys to apply things biblical wisdom into your business, utilizing the strategies that I shared today. And so today we are going to talk about the cost of impact. The cost of impact. Specifically what Isaiah 53 teaches entrepreneurs about redemption and leadership. Okay, so today we're going to talk about Isaiah 53, which is often called the suffering servant. The suffering servant.
Edna Harding [00:02:09]:
If you guys have never heard of that, this is what this chapter is known about. And this chapter specifically was written nearly 700 years before Jesus came. Here's a little history lesson. Isaiah 53 actually gives us a clear, detailed picture of his rejection of. Of his suffering of Jesus's sacrifice. But the most incredible thing about this chapter is it doesn't just reveal who Jesus is. It also teaches us how to endure rejection. It teaches us how to embrace sacrifice.
Edna Harding [00:02:45]:
It teaches us how to lead with redemptive purpose in our own lives and businesses. So without further ado, we're going to go ahead and get right into it and start with the Scriptures, which is Isaiah, chapter 53, verse 3. 5, which says, sorry, guys, my throat is still not cooperating. But that's okay. He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering and familiar with Pain. Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering. But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities.
Edna Harding [00:03:23]:
The punishment that brought us peace was on him. And by his wounds, we are healed. Father God, we just welcome you, Holy Spirit. We. We thank you for my brothers and sisters who are listening to this episode. We thank you for the work that you're doing in and through them. Father God, I just pray, oh God, that you use my mouth as a mouthpiece about your father, your heart, Lord Jesus and Lord God, I just pray that you teach us the Father's heart, Holy Spirit and Father, that you are pleased, Lord God, as we meditate on your truth today. In Jesus mighty name.
Edna Harding [00:03:56]:
All right, so this prophecy shows four big truths. Okay, you guys ready? The first thing is it shows us that the Messiah would be rejected. Number one. Number two, he would suffer in our place. Number three, his suffering was God's plan for redemption. And number four, his sacrifice would lead to victory and healing for many. Okay, this is pretty much the gospel in one chapter. Jesus didn't just die.
Edna Harding [00:04:24]:
He died as our substitute. He carried our sin, he carried our shame, he carried our sickness, he carried in our sorrow, he carried in our poverty. His suffering wasn't ran. It was part of God's redemptive plan. But Isaiah 53 also shows the paradox of the kingdom, which is out of rejection comes restoration, out of crushing comes healing, and out of death comes life. Okay, now I know you're like, okay, I know this stuff Ed now, or I've never heard of this stuff, but what does this have to do with business? I thought this was a podcast that was dealing with business. Why are we talking about Jesus Christ dying on the cross? Well, I'm glad you asked that question. And it's because one of the things that I've learned is there are parallels in the scriptures where what happened to these characters in the Bibles or what happened and in the stories reveals to us.
Edna Harding [00:05:21]:
The heart of the Father reveals to us. The character of Jesus reveals to us, like, who the Holy Spirit is, his power. And what I love about it is, like, the Lord has given me insight and revelation how to relate that to business. And so I want to go ahead and give you guys some practicality and how we could take, you know, the sufferings of Jesus and how it relates to scripture. I mean, how well, how it relates to scripture, but how it relates to business in our lives. You guys ready? All right, let's start with number one. Rejection doesn't equal Failure again. I'm saying it again.
Edna Harding [00:05:54]:
Rejection doesn't equal failure. Think about this, guys. Jesus was disputed, despised and rejected. Yet he fulfilled his assignment. So if you're building something God gave you, don't let rejection of man convince you that it's not worth pursuing. Let me say that one more time. Don't let the rejection of man convince you that it's not worth pursuing. Often here my hear, my friends.
Edna Harding [00:06:19]:
The very thing people dismiss is the very thing God uses to change lives. Oh, come on. Am I preaching or am I preaching? The very thing the name of Jesus. I command my throat to operate in the mighty name of Jesus. The very thing people dismiss is the very thing God uses to change our lives. Number two. Sacrifice produces redemption. Sacrifice produces redemption.
Edna Harding [00:06:48]:
Think about this. Isaiah says that it was the Lord's will to crush him. The Lord was willing to be crushed. He impact is never free. Impact is never free. Impact is never free. It costs us something. In business, that may mean late nights.
Edna Harding [00:07:09]:
That may mean uncomfortable decisions. That means taking out debt. That is hefty, okay? That means walking away from quick profits. That means protecting long term integrity by making those tough decisions, okay? That, you know, like for example, like doing the honest thing. Like when someone undercharges you, you paid the full price and you tell them, hey, you undercharged me. I had to. I can't tell you how many times this test came about in my career, in my business. And I always chose the right thing because my character and my soul was more important than profit.
Edna Harding [00:07:46]:
Okay? Okay? So like Jesus, our sacrifices will unlock freedom for others. Our sacrifices will lock unlock freedom for others. Okay? Sacrifice produces some sort of redemption not just for our family, not just for employees, but even the people we're called to serve. Number three. Healing flows through service. Let me say that one more time. Healing flows through service. The scripture says by his wounds we are healed.
Edna Harding [00:08:18]:
In kingdom leadership, we don't rise by climbing over people. We rise by laying down our lives for others. Your greatest impact may come from the very places you've been wounded. Oh, come on. Am I talking or am I talking this? Your greatest impact may come from the places you've been wounded, okay? Because they allow you to serve with authenticity and compassion. The reason why I'm so good at what I do and serving those that all hell is breaking loose against because I've been there. I know what it takes, okay? I know what it takes to overcome. I know what it takes to go against the forces of hell.
Edna Harding [00:09:06]:
When it comes to building the business, God has For you. And I know what it takes to succeed because of the wisdom that comes from heavenly places. Does that make sense? So because of my wounds. Because of my wounds, I can heal people in the same areas that I suffered through because I came on the other side because of the grace of God. And I know that sounds so prideful, but in reality, you can't take somebody somewhere that you've never been. It's like the blind leading the blind. Do you hear what I'm saying? All right, guys, I like. My voice is really very stretching right now.
Edna Harding [00:09:48]:
So this might be my last episode that I'm gonna have to record today because I am. I feel like I'm making things worse for my voice, but that is. Okay. Let's just end with some. Three practical strategies, okay? I know these. I know these episodes are getting shorter, but it's because I feel like time is of an essence. The Lord is wanting to equip you and move you into all that God has for you. And we don't have time to waste.
Edna Harding [00:10:14]:
So let's make this practical. Number one, redefine success. It's not about applause. It's not about acceptance. It's about obedience to God. It's about obedience to all that God called you to do. Jesus was rejected, yet he succeeded in his assignment. You can totally be rejected and still complete the work.
Edna Harding [00:10:35]:
You can be totally be despised, but still finish your assignment. You don't need man's approval. All you need is God's permission. I hope you hear me by way of the Spirit. Number two. Embrace your cost. Embrace your cost. Don't be surprised when the path God calls you isn't easy.
Edna Harding [00:10:56]:
It's not going to be easy. It's probably going to be the hardest road you've ever been on. But I can tell you that Isaiah 53 shows us that breakthrough is often preceded by crushing, which means that breakthrough is guaranteed. You just got to endure the crushing. And number three, you want to lead with redemption. Like Jesus, you want to let your leadership lift burdens. The decisions you make, the sacrifices you make will ultimately help those God has called you to. Okay? Especially if you know God has given you a solution to a group of people that only you can solve.
Edna Harding [00:11:42]:
Only you can solve because you were called to solve that specific problem. Now you want to ask yourself this. Am I building something that sets people free or my building something that puts them into bondage? Is your solution freedom or is your solution bondage? Okay, there is a difference. And I can tell you that the enemy comes to kill Steal and destroy. So if you are a business owner and the solution you're bringing is doing nothing but killing them, destroying them, stealing from them, you are not of God. I repeat, you are not of God. And I repeat, you need to repent now. Because the justice of God is sure.
Edna Harding [00:12:30]:
He's a merciful God. Yes, he is faithful God. But if you are listening to me right now and you have a business that is taking advantage of God's people, or just people in general, they don't even have to believe in Jesus. Best believe God is not pleased and he's calling you forth now into repentance, to repent and turn from your wicked ways. Because God is a God of justice. He does not want you to suffer. And I'm talking to you entrepreneurs, CEO, leader of a business that's taking advantage of people. God does not want you to suffer and he's giving you time to repent.
Edna Harding [00:13:09]:
But at point, some, some point, he will step in and he will avenge his people. He does not want his people to be oppressed. Just like he delivered the Israelites back then, he's still in the delivering business now. In the name of Jesus, I hope you hear me by way of the Spirit. Whether you are the oppressor or whether you are the oppressed, God has an answer for you through his word today. In the mighty name of Jesus. I know you guys don't feel like I'm yelling, but I am yelling. And by as long as, as loud as I can with the voice that I have.
Edna Harding [00:13:47]:
I feel like the enemy is trying to stop my voice. But Satan, you are a defeated foe. In the mighty name of Jesus, every. I'm doing this right now because I hear it, Lord. I hear you, God. Every form of witchcraft that's coming against my voice, I command you to loose my soul myself. Now. In the mighty name of Jesus.
Edna Harding [00:14:09]:
You have no authority over my voice because my voice is the voice of the Holy Spirit. I am the daughter of the most high God. And no weapons form against me shall prosper. You cannot curse, but God has blessed. You cannot curse, but God has anointed. And I am the anointed mouth of God. I am a mouthpiece for the voice of truth who is the Holy Spirit, who sets us free, who sets the captives free. And in the name of Jesus, Satan.
Edna Harding [00:14:41]:
The Lord rebukes you. You have no authority over this environment. You have no authority over my body, for this is the temple of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, Satan, you are trespassing and I command you to go. But authority given to me by the risen Lord. In the name of Jesus. Jesus and Father. I see it, Lord.
Edna Harding [00:15:02]:
I see it, God and those of you guys who are being oppressed right now, in the name of Jesus, Father, release your holy fire. Release your fire. Consume every assignment of the enemy right now. In the mighty name of Jesus, loose your people from the grips of hell and release, oh God. Complete victory. In the mighty name of Jesus, we call forth the Lord of the angelic army. Father, release your people now. In Jesus name.
Edna Harding [00:15:36]:
In Jesus name. Hallelujah. Victory is ours. Victory is ours. My friends, stand firm on the word of God that you are delivered, that you are set free in the mighty name of Jesus. Hallelujah. All right, let's wrap this episode now. Isaiah 53 is more than just a prophecy, my friends.
Edna Harding [00:16:03]:
It's a blueprint. It shows us that rejection doesn't disqualify you. Sacrifice isn't wasted, and true leadership always carry redemption at its core. So, my friend, my brother and sisters in Christ, Christ Kingdom, entrepreneur, God CEO, if you've been misunderstood, if you've been overlooked, if you've been rejected, take heart, you're in good company. The suffering servant who's the Lord Jesus Christ reminds us that what looks like loss may actually be the seed of greatest impact. Now, if this episode encouraged you, I pray that you encourage another leader with this episode who needs to be reminded that their labor, their sacrifice, or yes, is never in vain. Even their rejection can be used of a part of great God's greater plan for mankind, for humankind. And I ask you guys to rate this podcast, whatever podcast you guys are listening to, whatever platform, please rate this podcast.
Edna Harding [00:17:10]:
So we could increase the reach of the gospel message through His Word. And just so you guys know, the gospel basically means good news. God has good news from His Word. It's not just about salvation. It's about all the promises he has for God's people. To those who believe, to those who have faith, to those who trust him and those who obey. So until next time, my friends, keep building with faith. Keep.
Edna Harding [00:17:36]:
Keep seeking wisdom, gaining wisdom, applying wisdom, and most importantly, stand courageous and be bold for all who God called you to be. God bless you, my friends, and I'll talk to you guys soon. Take care. Well, hello, everyone. Thank you for tuning in for another episode of the Esspreneur podcast. My name is Edna Harding, all the way from Madison, Alabama, recording here live in my studio at home. I've always wanted to say that, but anyway, just welcome, guys.
