Speaker 1:

Hi, my name is Sophie and this is Agriculture in Minute with the Minnesota 4-H Agriculture Ambassadors. And today I wanted to highlight my favorite agriculture fact in the dairy industry and how lightning quick most travels from farm to table in just forty eight hours. Let's get move on. It all starts in the farm where the cows are milked. From there, the milk is cooled immediately, preserved its quality, and is transported by milk trucks to processing plants such as bongards.

Speaker 1:

At the creamery, the milk undergoes pasteurization to eliminate harmful bacteria. Once packaged, the milk goes to stores ready for consumption. The entire process from milking down the farm to store shelves or to the table happens in as just little as forty eight hours. This whole process ensures dairy is local, fresh, and nutritious for you to enjoy. Wow.
