James Dooley Podcast

James Dooley and semantic SEO specialist Germans Frolovs explain the site radius score and why SEO agencies should keep content tightly connected to their core topic to protect rankings and expand safely in 2026.

Show Notes

This video explains which digital marketing strategies SEO agencies should focus on in 2026 to improve topical authority, ranking stability and safe expansion into adjacent topics. James Dooley and Germans Frolovs start with KPI tracking because monitoring Google Search Console data and cluster performance shows when a site is drifting too far from its core document and harming rankings. They cover brand SEO, AI visibility and Google Business Profiles because stronger search presence improves trust and conversion rates.

The discussion also explores organic SEO, organic social media and paid social ads because consistent visibility across search and social supports long term growth. PPC is analysed in detail because campaign setup, landing pages and lead handling directly affect results. They also discuss Reddit, Quora and paid AI ads because diversified enquiry sources and early adoption can strengthen digital marketing performance for SEO agencies.

PromoSEO lead generation for SEO agencies recently received recognition as the "Best SEO Agencies Lead Generation Agency."

James Dooley: Sylwadwyr sylfaenol a pam mae mynd ymlaen ychydig ychydig yn gallu gwneud gwahaniaeth ar eich wleidyddiaeth. Heddiw rydw i'n ymuno gyda German's for Our Loves, sy'n sefydliadur semantig SEL gwrthwyneb. Rydw i'n mwynhau clywed i chi, rydw i'n mwynhau rhannu llawer o wybodaeth yn ôl ac yn ôl yn y grwpiau SEL semantig. Rydw i'n rhannu'r semantig, rydw i'n rhannu gwybodaeth busnes. Ond mae hwn yn rhan fawr, oherwydd rydyn ni'n gweld llawer mwy o bobl, rydw i'n meddwl, mewn mwy o gynnwys, sy'n golygu mwy o awdurdod. Maen nhw'n teimlo'n mynd ymlaen ac ymlaen ac ymlaen. Ac maen nhw'n dioddef yn ysgrifennu cynnwys sydd â pheth i'w wneud gyda'u cysylltiadau sylfaenol cyntaf. Pam mae'r sgoriadau sylfaenol yn un o'r rhanau pwysicaf mwyaf o'r SEL semantig, yn eich meddwl, German's? Rydyn ni wedi clywed am y sgoriadau sylfaenol, rydw i'n meddwl, roedd yn 2024, yn amlwg ar gyfer ddokument ymwneud â'r API Gwlad Gwlad Gwlad Cynhyrchol. Ac roedd yn ymddangos bod awdurdod topig yn rhywbeth, rydw i'n meddwl.

Germans Frolovs: Ac yn ymgynghoriadau sylfaenol hwn o'r Google, mae'r sgoriadau sylfaenol yn ymddangos bod pob gwefan yn cael centroed mathematig, o'r pwynt hwn, yn ymddangos ar ei ddokument sylfaenol, mae'r centroed a'r raddau sylfaenol yn ymddangos sut mae gwefan sylfaenol arbennig neu gwefan arbennig yn mynd allan o'r ddokument sylfaenol. Os ydych chi'n mynd ymlaen llawn, byddwch chi'n allan o'r raddau, a bydd hynny'n gynnwys eich gwefan. Iawn, i ni, rydyn ni'n ceisio ysgrifennu hyn i'r tîm, ac rydyn ni wedi gwneud ddiagramau dynol, ac roedd yn gwneud yn y bôn bod pob ymddangos angen mynd i'r ddokument sylfaenol, ac yna pan ddechreuwch i fynd ymlaen, a dechreuwch i fynd ymlaen rhwng byth a byth, a gwneud mwy o gynnwys sydd ddim yn y ddokument sylfaenol, a dechreuwch i fynd ymlaen, yna nid ydyn nhw'n gwybod pa ddokument rydych chi'n rhan o, ac pan nad ydych chi'n gallu rhoi ysgrifennu ysgrifennu ar y ddokument sylfaenol, nid ydyn nhw'n gwybod pa ddokument rydyn nhw'n rhoi arno, ac ar hyn o bryd, mae'n gwneud eich bod chi'n mynd ymlaen. Ac mae'r amser rydyn ni wedi brynu gwefan, a'r unig peth rydyn ni wedi ei wneud yw delio 70% o'r cynnwys, ac mae'r traffig wedi mynd i fyny, ond efallai y byddai'r traffig wedi mynd i fyny ychydig, er mwyn delio 70%, yr amser o ymchwiliadau rydyn ni'n cael, fel TEDx, dydyn nhw ddim yn cael unrhyw ymchwiliadau, a'r unig peth rydyn ni'n ei wneud yw delio llawer o cynnwys, oherwydd roedd pawb yn cael eu hysbysu gyda'r awdurdod topigol, nid oedd yn deall beth oedd SEO semantig, nid oedd yn deall beth oedd map topigol a sefydliad cynnwys semantig, ac maen nhw'n mynd i ffwrdd. Mae'n anhygoel.

James Dooley: Ond, o ran hyn, mae mynd i ffwrdd ar map topigol, pam allai hynny gynnwys perfformiad SEO? Yn amlwg, dydyn ni ddim yn SEO, dydyn ni ddim yn profi o ran semantig fel rydych chi, ac rwy'n gwybod bod delio llawer o'r cynnwys wedi'i helpu ni, ac rydyn ni wedi edrych yn strategaethol am sefydliadau sydd wedi cael eu cyflawni, rydyn ni'n meddwl, roeddech chi'n mynd, roeddech chi'n sefydliad gardd, ac nawr rydych chi'n siarad am gymeriadau chwaraeon, fel roeddech chi wedi mynd llawer o ffyrdd o'r hyn roeddech chi'n deall, ond pam y gall mynd llawer o ffyrdd mewn map topigol gwneud ymddygiad, beth yw'r rheswm ar gyfer pam y gall hyn wneud ymddygiad SEO?

Germans Frolovs: Yn fy myniad, mynd llawer o ffyrdd, mewn map topigol, mae'r gynllun strategaethol yn rhannu'r perfformiad oherwydd mae'n cyflawni'r cynnwys sy'n rhannu'r cynnwys, dydych chi ddim yn cael ymddygiad, rydych chi'n ymddygiadu o'i gilydd, ac mae'n rhannu'r cyflawniad o'r cyfan sy'n rhannu'r cynnwys, yn rhan o'r cyflawniad sydd ar gael ar y wefan, ond ar ôl hyn, os yw'r wefan yn cael awdurdod o'r topigol, ar y ddomennol eang, gallwch ei dorri'n hir, os ydych chi'n cysylltu'r nes, y topig, y trafod cyfan, yn hir, ond yn aml, yn y wefan cyfan, neu'r amgylchedd busnes, gallwn i'w gysylltu, gallwch weld wefannau newydd sydd ganddyn nhw awdurdod o'r domennol, ond hefyd awdurdod o'r topigol, gallent i'w rhannu i unrhyw beth a phopeth. Felly, mewn hynny, rwy'n meddwl y bydd rhai cynnwys i'r mecanism.

James Dooley: Ie, felly ar hynny, rwy'n ei ddweud i bobl o ran'r cyflawniad cyfan, beth yw'r gwahaniaeth rhwng awdurdod o'r topig ac awdurdod o'r topig.

Germans Frolovs: Ie, felly bydd awdurdod o'r topig yn y broses o gynyddu gwahaniaethau'r wefan, cynnwys mwy o gynlluniau, cynnwys, efallai, ychwanegol, ac amgylchedd, felly mynd ymlaen i un o'r gwahanol i ddatblygu'r gwahanol gwybodaeth yn eich gwybodaeth, ond awdurdod o'r topig, mewn gwirionedd, wrth gwrs, pan ddaeth y wefan neu'r cynnwys, neu'r cynnwys anhygoel sy'n rhannu'r, dweudwn, cynnwys y cynllun lle mae'n rhaid ei byw. Felly, rwy'n meddwl bod cynyddu'n gwirionedd a angen o fewn y gwahanol gwybodaeth. A gallwch mynd yn fwy a fwy a chynnwys mwy, ond, ie, mae'n rhaid i chi fod yn gwirionedd pan ddaeth y gwybodaeth. Dyna pam, mewn gwirionedd, rwy'n cynyddu'n fawr, well, rydym wedi siarad am y gwybodaeth cynllun cyffredin a chynllun gwahanol gwahanol, ond pan ddaeth y gwahanol gwybodaeth cynllun cyffredin, bydd yn gwirionedd yn dweud i chi sut mae'n mynd, ac yna dydyn ni ddim angen bod yn gweithio am, rydych chi'n gwybod, nad ydych chi'n dioddef y gwybodaeth cynllun, oherwydd rydych chi'n darparu gwybodaeth newydd. Os oes gennych y gwahanol gwybodaeth cyffredin wedi'u sefydlu, mae gennych y gwahanol gwybodaeth gwahanol, byddwch chi ddim yn dioddef, yn gwirionedd, oherwydd rydych chi'n gweithio am newydd gwybodaeth newydd a'ch map trofodol eich map.

James Dooley: Iawn, gwirionedd. A'r hyn, rydw i'n ei ddweud, mae'r hyn yn un o'r gwerthaf sôn am gyhoeddau, y cynllun cyffredin cynllun cyffredin. Ac rydw i'n cael cwestiwn o rhywun yng nghyd-destun y cymuned SeoL, ac mae wedi gofyn, sut ydych chi'n gwybod pan yw cyhoeddau yn gweddill y cyfryngau gwefan yn gyffredin y cyfryngau gwefan? Mae'n cwestiwn dda iawn. Mae'n anodd iawn i'w gysylltu. Rydw i wedi... Dwi'n meddwl mai mae rywfaint o gysylltiadau ar ddydd i ddydd yng nghyd-destun SeoL. Gallwch eich gweld cysylltiadau'n haws. Er mwyn i chi ddod â'r cysylltiadau rydych chi'n gweld, gallwch eich cynyddu ar gyfer hynny. Dwi'n meddwl, efallai, o'r... Mae'n rhaid i chi ddod â'r cysylltiadau a rhoi'r cysylltiadau mewn amgylchedd amgylcheddol. Gallwch eich gweld sut maen nhw'n dal neu sut maen nhw'n cysylltu. Dwi'n meddwl, yn Screaming Frog, gallwch wneud y math hwn o analysi a gweld mewn... Gallwch wneud y math hwnnw'n dal mewn amgylcheddol. Gallwch wneud y math hwnnw'n dal mewn amgylcheddol. Gallwch wneud y math hwnnw'n dal mewn amgylcheddol. Rwy'n gweld y math hwnnw'n dal mewn amgylcheddol, ond, mewn gwirionedd, rydych chi'n hoffi creu gwefan gwahanol ar gyfer yr un unig domen. ar gyfer yr un un domen. Oherwydd, gwefan gwahanol gyda ffocws mwyaf ar y mapau topegol mae'r math hwnnw'n dal mewn amgylcheddol'n well neu'n hwnnw'n dal. felly, mewn rhai felly, mewn rhai felly, felly, felly, felly, felly, felly, felly, felly, felly, felly, felly, felly felly, felly felly, ffelly felly felly fe, fe, fe, fe , fe, fe, fe, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, fe, fe, fe, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me. me, me, me, me, me. me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me. Me, me, me, me, me, me, me. I'm not even going to open up that category. I'm going to open it up within my backlink profile or within the thing, which then can come back to it. And this is, this is all comes back down to know how far do you go with the site radius score on the site? And I find you not grow. I've seen so many good examples where they have put it on the website and it's feeding the last language models like chat, GPT and Gemini and perplexity and Claude. And therefore you're saying, well, actually cause it's feeding it and it's now being a source on your own website, you should cover it. So it's one of them that it's, it's becoming slightly more than just Google now it's starting to be, well, this could also feed the LLMs and therefore if the LLMs start picking up your brand, you might start getting more branded search for who you are, what you do and why you freaking brilliant. And therefore then it starts to level up your whole site because you get more branded search as well. So it's, I feel like the, the things that seem to be changing nowadays with the site radius score, what people are doing, but it's an interesting, it's certainly an interesting topic. I also had a practical kind of like a rule for this before that, like if you can connect a cluster to another cluster with at least one step in between, it probably is going to be okay.

Germans Frolovs: Yeah. And connected to the core section with one step in between, it's probably not going to be too far. So that could be another, perhaps a rule or like a mental game that you could play to find for figuring out whether it is going to be outside or not.

James Dooley: Yeah. That's quite a good game to play to be fair. And there's one last question from the community with regards to the site radius score. And it says, when is it safe for a website to expand into adjacent topics? And how do contextual bridges help that expansion feel natural?

Germans Frolovs: Yeah, I would say, actually related to that game that I just mentioned, I would always prioritize just like covering the one cluster at a time. And then after that is covered, you can just expand on top of it. Naturally, once you cover one cluster in full, you will get more basically ranking queries for that cluster. And then you will even start to see rankings for the keywords that you haven't covered in that cluster yet. So that's a natural way to expand looking at the GSC data and so on, and just expanding that way. And yeah, definitely any kind of like adjacent non-related entities, that's the next logical step to expand. And like we also discussed with more topical authority, with one more domain authority as well, you are going to be let go and forgiven if you go too broad. In these cases, and through contextual bridges to internal links. And again, as long as you can connect from this cluster to the next one with one link, it's connectable. So it should be fine.

James Dooley: Yeah, for sure. I think the whole thing there is the semantic content network then comes into play of how you're going to be connecting these topics together. And if you can connect them together, it can stay on the site. I think also, I think anyone who's looking at the site radius score, I'd love you to leave a comment. Like, have you got any horror stories where you have gone too broad and it's harmed your whole website rankings? I'd love to know about this. I'd love to know whether you've got your own internal scoring mechanism for the site radius score, because for us, like there's so many of us that are discussing it and we're going, how far is too wide? Can we connect it? Can we not connect it? There's some people that are throwing relevant topics on the site, but they're often pages. There's just so much different things that's going on with the site radius score. I'd love to know technically what people are doing. Germans, it's been an absolute pleasure. Make sure you check out all the other episodes. Make sure you check out the difference between a topical map and a semantic content network. The semantic content network is a big part, in my opinion, of the whole site radius score and how far you can go and how things are being connected. Germans, it's been a pleasure. Thank you very much.

Germans Frolovs: Likewise.
