[upbeat music] The noon hour of Madness and Mayhem, the podcast.
You excited for the weekend, Peaches?
I'm excited to not talk anymore.
Are you? [laughs]
Yeah.
Oh, talking's so rough.
I, I had to do-
So rough
... my two afternoon shows, I had to pre-record both of them because-
Oh. [laughs]
... uh, you know, I'll be at Juicity Vapor this afternoon from 3:00 to 5:00.
That's right. And, uh,
well, are you excited about Peaches' live broadcast, Vessel?
Well, yeah.
[laughs] Such a dumb button.
[laughs] I love how there's that part of Take Me Back to Eden where he just comes out of nowhere, "Well, yeah, I spit blood and I wake up."
[laughs] Vessel, are you ready to hit the beach?
Well, yeah.
[laughs] But we don't have a beach. Is that okay?
Well, yeah.
I mean, we sort of have a beach. Do you like camping?
Well, yeah. It's like our ... It's like the first ever interview with Vessel from Sleep Token.
[laughs]
Vessel, do you, do you know there's a lot of people out there that, uh, just hate Sleep Token? Well, yeah.
Do you care? [laughs] Since you make a million dollars a show?
Well, yeah.
Why do you care? [laughs] You know, you shouldn't care, buddy. You're making a million dollars a show. You're sitting good. Do you care about your fans?
Well, yeah.
Okay. Just checking. [laughs]
Do you think J Davis is a piece of crap? Well, yeah.
[laughs] I agree. I agree, Vessel. [laughs] So Peaches' broadcasting live at Juicity Vapor today. It's, it's 3:00 to 5:00 PM, right, Vessel, in Idaho Falls?
Well, yeah. Will, will I be giving away a pair of tickets to go see Theory of a Deadman and Sevendust at the Mountain America Center? Well, yeah.
And of course-
[laughs]
... the No Beach Beach Bash prize package giveaway, or g- giveaway package. Geez. Valued at 500 bucks from Juicity Vapor and KBear.
Well, yeah. Does it involve a wagon? Well, yeah. A cooler? Well, yeah. Uh, a, a waterproof floating speaker? Well, yeah. [laughs]
[laughs]
Don't cut me off there, Vessel.
Everything you need for camping.
Well, yeah.
Okay. All right. [laughs]
Do you want me to wrap your arms around you? Well, yeah.
[laughs]
[laughs]
Wrap his arms around him?
Yeah.
[laughs]
Well, yeah. Well, yeah.
But you can do, you can do that yourself, Vessel. They're your arms. But you still want Peaches to wrap your arms around you.
Well, yeah.
Okay.
[laughs] So go see Peaches today, 3:00 to 5:00 PM at Juicity Vapor. Win yourself some awesome prizes.
Is Vessel excited for the weekend?
Vessel, are you there?
Well, yeah.
What about Peaches' question about the weekend? Are you excited for it?
Well, yeah.
Okay. Geez. [upbeat music] This is the Dune, the Dune Hour.
The Dune.
The Dune Hour of Madness and Mayhem.
Hey, Vessel, did, uh, Victor mess up the, the name of this show? Well, yeah.
I know. [laughs] It, it's hard sometimes. Cut me some slack. [laughs] Will you shut up for a few, Vessel?
Well, yeah.
Okay. Good. So Peaches, you said you had something that we could chat about.
Yeah. I, I've developed this habit of just having grapes and kiwis before bed. I sit up, I lay on my bed like a fat slob in my boxers just scarfing down the fruit.
Mm-hmm.
You know? And tho- those, those fruits have melatonin in them.
Okay.
Naturally. And so it helps me fall asleep. I mean, I, I've developed this, also this other bad habit of taking a nap after work and then I don't go to bed till like 1:00 in the morning.
Yeah.
I didn't go to bed till like 2:30 last night.
Oh, that's-
Woke up at-
... a little rough
... 7:30 and was like, "Am I tired, Vessel?" Well, yeah.
Yeah. You get up at that hour a day after going to bed ... I, I went to bed extremely late last night as well, but I woke up at the usual time and it sucked.
And I bet you loved seeing the desktop wallpaper change that I left for you here in the studio.
Yeah. I meant to ask you, who was that?
That was James Blunt.
That was James Blunt?
Yeah.
Okay. I w-
You hate the guy, but you don't know what he looks like.
No. I thought it was like Matt Rife or something like that.
[laughs]
That guy looked like Matt Rife, right, right, Vessel?
Well, yeah. Do ... Are you a better lead singer than, uh, than James Blunt? Well, yeah.
No question about it.
Yeah, yeah, absolutely.
Geez. Do you think James Blunt just really sucks?
Well, yeah.
Yeah, I agree.
[laughs] Hey, you should put this out there on-
[laughs]
Put, put this out th- there as a podcast and just say-
[laughs]
... "First ever interview with Vessel from Sleep Token."
[laughs]
Do you think your fans are quite annoying, Vessel? Well, yeah.
Yeah. I know. They are terrible.
Well, I, I haven't talked about what I wanna talk about yet. The ... Besides eating the fruit late at night.
Let's ... Okay. Can we do it the next break, Vessel?
Well, yeah. I guess.
[laughs] All right.
[upbeat music] It's the Noon Hour of Madness and Mayhem with Peaches and, uh, Vessel, right?
Well, yeah. Vessel-
Yeah
... from the one, the only Sleep Token.
Hanging out with us today. You having a good time on the show, dude?
Well, yeah.
Glad to hear it, dude. Honored to have you on the program. W-
Vessel, do you also have weird dreams? Well, yeah. I thought so.
Yeah. What-
I thought so
... what kind of weird dreams you been having, Peaches?
Um, I don't know what happens to me in the middle of the night if I just ... My, my brain starts going a million miles per hour and the melatonin from the grapes and the kiwis also kicks in, because usually- Well, yeah. Uh, yeah, do you take melatonin too, Vessel? Well, yeah. Okay. Well, good. I'm glad I'm not the, I'm not the only one. Uh-
You need to get some rest for all that big touring.
Yeah. The stage is a prison, right, Vessel? Well, yeah. Yeah, see?
[laughs]
[laughs] We're so immature. Well, yeah.
[laughs] S- s- so back to your dream, Peaches.
So I, I, you know, I sleep with a CPAP for those listeners that don't know I have sleep apnea, of course, and I'm always worried that I'm gonna stop breathing in the middle of the night.
Mm-hmm.
And usually when I cry in a dream, um, just like how Vessel cries when he sees the stage as a prison, right, Vessel? Well, yeah.
[laughs]
Usually when I cry in a dream, it's me trying to gasp for air in real life.
Oh, yeah.
And-
Yeah, I hate those dreams, dude. They're the worst [laughs]
So I, I had this weird, weird dream where I was racing my friends in a swimming contest hosted by Tony Hinchcliffe, and he's trying to fill the pool up with water with this massive hose.
[laughs]
And he keeps spraying the roof and having it trickle down. [laughs]
[laughs]
Don't you think that's kind of weird, Vessel? Oh, yeah. And,
uh, I, I, the race didn't start, but I was, like, holding my breath in the dream, which was me doing that in real life.
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
And then I woke up with my heart kind of going fast, and in the middle of the night your, your brain's going a-
Mm.
-million miles per hour.
Yeah.
And so I switched over to my left-hand side because my back's kind of been hurting me, and I go to my left-hand side. My heart starts jumping because of me trying to gasp for air.
Yeah.
You know? It's just a whole big mess. Oh, yeah. I'm just trying to sleep, just like how you're in the band Sleep Token, right, Vessel? Oh, yeah.
Absolutely, man.
Vessel, do you also have s- uh, sleep apnea? Oh, yeah. Oh, you do? Oh, okay. That's quite surprising. Do you have the, the, the mask and everything? Oh, yeah. I mean, that's not surprising, 'cause he's u- usually wearing a mask anyway. It's prob- probably his face-
Yeah, he loves masks.
Yeah.
He wears one during the day and at night.
Yeah, sure.
24/7 with the masks, right, Vessel?
Oh, yeah.
That's what I thought. So yeah, I, I do. I've had a million of those dreams when you're not breathing. They are just horrifying. I hate waking up from one of those.
I think, I think Tony in the dream was even like, "Are you guys ready for the best night of your lives?"
[laughs] Oh, geez.
[laughs] And just filling the hose, or filling the pool with the hose.
[laughs]
Oh, man.
Well, good luck on your, uh, weekend dreams, nightmares. No fun, Peaches.
Uh.
No fun. You gotta make sure that mask's on tight.
I- I've been causing myself to have, uh, to have bad dreams as of late with this, this fruit, this diet change, this different mindset, you know? Trying to climb this mountain. Right, Vessel? Oh, yeah.
But don't you think Peaches should just man up a little bit and have a cheeseburger?
Oh, yeah. I, I mean, I, I'm thinking about getting Taco Bell for lunch today as my one cheat meal for the week.
You should, huh, Vessel?
Oh, yeah. But I also don't... Well, I'm also fat. Am I, am, am I, Vessel? Oh, yeah. See-
Getting body shamed by Vessel.
[laughs]
Thought he was a nice fella.
Vessel, please give me a hug. I want you to wrap your arms around me. Is that okay?
Uh-oh. I, I guess-
Oh, he didn't say anything.
No.
No. [laughs]
[laughs] Yeah, he's mad at you.
[laughs]
It's the noon hour of Madness and Mayhem on a Friday, and Vessel, you're pumped for the weekend just like us, right?
Oh, yeah.
Yeah. Yeah!
Oh, yeah. Vessel-
Yeah!
Oh, yeah.
Sorry.
Vessel, I have a quick question for you. Do people wear, uh, adult diapers at your shows? Oh, yeah.
Yeah, 'cause they wanna get up on the rail, like, three, four hours before the show starts and just stay there.
You saw the article about Olivia Ro- Rodrigo, right?
Uh, no.
About how people are wearing diapers to her shows, and she can smell the entire front row. She admitted it in an interview just, uh, two days ago.
Vessel, do your fans in the front row stink as bad as Olivia Rodrigo's fans?
Oh, yeah.
No, I wouldn't-
Jeez
... think so. I mean, is it not disgusting to wear a diaper to a show?
Oh, yeah. I mean, could you imagine paying $500 to get front row tickets to Olivia Rodrigo, and there's just someone marinating in their own business? Oh, yeah.
[laughs]
[laughs]
So gross, dude. It's bad enough when somebody farts in the crowd. But if it's a, a, a dookie drop, the smell doesn't go away. It lingers, and-
Do you walk around with a full diaper like that? Oh, yeah.
[laughs] I mean-
[laughs]
... what else are you gonna do? [laughs] I guess you could go change yourself in the bathroom, but then you lose your spot, right, Vessel?
Oh, yeah. I mean, you could just throw the diaper at somebody, right? Oh, yeah.
I- that might be considered battery, Peaches.
Well, I know, I know at concerts people like to just throw their empty beer cans in the air, or sometimes half-full beer cans, and it hits people in the face.
Yeah. I mean, artists have been hit by phones and all kinds of things. Vessel, you ever been hit by a diaper on stage?
Oh, yeah. Really?
Yeah.
Wow.
Was that in the UK?
Oh, yeah.
Kind of figured.
It's a bit turdy, isn't it?
[laughs] That's right. The things are different over there. Or maybe down south in the US. Alabama?
Oh, yeah. Wasn't there that infamous Kid Rock story about his, his bar in Nashville where someone was swinging a particular bag?
Uh, yeah.
Yeah.
[laughs]
[laughs]
Average Kid Rock fan, Vessel.
Oh, yeah. Just full of, uh, that, right, Vessel? Oh, yeah.
[laughs] Oh, should we end this show and get ready for the weekend, Vessel?
Oh, yeah. And should people come see me at Juicity Vapor in Idaho Falls from 3:00 to 5:00 PM a little bit later on this afternoon?
Oh, yeah.
He had to think about it a little bit.
Yeah, okay.
He wasn't sure at first, but yes. 3:00 to 5:00 PM, Juicity Vapor in Idaho Falls. Peaches will get you five entries into the drawing for the No Beach Beach Bash prize package giveaway, and one lucky winner's gonna take it all home today just in time for the weekend.
Also, Vessel, don't you have to be 21 and over to enter the store? Oh, yeah.
That's the law. So sorry, kids. You can't go in. You're gonna have to send your parents in to Juicity Vapor in Idaho Falls, 3:00 to 5:00 PM and hopefully they'll win all the prizes, or maybe some Sevendust tickets.
Are you a big fan of Sevendust, Vessel? Oh, yeah. What about Theory of a Deadman? Oh, yeah.
Any o- other acts you wanna ask him about?
Um, do you hate Sublime too? Oh, yeah. Okay, good.
Whoa.
[laughs]
I would've thought Vessel would... He's in the, the Peaches boat on that one.
Uh, their fans also wear adult diapers, but they're also just full of, you know, that too. Oh, yeah.
I, Sublime fans, I'm sorry for what Vessel's saying.
[laughs]
It's not our fault, okay? We, we don't make his opinions for him.
Vessel, are you sure you really hate Sublime? Oh, yeah. Jeez.
