[00:00] That'll say you've got something you need to be doing right now. You're right. I should be doing substances. Lady Zale is gaining some form of consciousness. What's Lady Zale's life worth to you? Jesus Christ, what? You see, that's right. That's exactly correct. Holy, are you just Matt Berry? Baldrick grabs Glovetot, and he is going to turn him into a real boar. All right, everybody. Are you ready for another exciting episode of...
[00:34] I almost said boar hands. Yeah. Restart the whole... Try it again. That's the intro now. Run it back. That's the intro now.
[00:47] My mess up will forever be eternal. Switch all of our icons to Space Marines. We're playing too much Chaos Odyssey. All right, everybody. Welcome to another exciting episode of Rot Grind. Of course, you always love what we do here, and love the show and everything else like that. You can go to NarrativeDeclaration.com, kick those cans around, and help let everybody know that we exist by sharing the website around and letting people know where they can find us, which is usually over on that website, NarrativeDeclaration.com.
[01:14] That Odo made. Odo did a good job on it. Yay! Yippee! And of course, merch stuff, everything else, all that fun stuff, and the Patreon stuff, where you can get all the cool bits and bobs in between. But of course, Thirstano, it's like we've been away for a bit, because in real life time, we've been away for a good chunk of months. We've had to get a lot of stuff ready, and then people were in hospitals.
[01:38] I had drills shoved in my face, and people were on trips and all this fun stuff. So we had a bit of a delay. So forgive us if we forget a couple things here and there. But last I remember, we fought Dragon, and Orna was paralyzed for like 500 years, and Baldrick was just exploding its face off, and everyone else was whooping its ass. And we defeated this rotten Dragon over Orna's homeland, where he was.
[02:05] Where they were able to save his mom, and his dad, and the rest of the village, and stuff like that. And unfortunately, he had to give up. I like to assume that off-screen, we had like a Return of the Jedi-style party when you came back. But none of that. Yup, yup, yup. Ba-da-da-ba-ba! You don't get to see that. I like to...
[02:29] You got really drunk. You didn't want to see that. Yeah, you made a lot of mistakes.
[02:38] Like, good thing he didn't drink enough of the poop wine.
[02:43] He kept that to himself. Oh, you smart boy. I'm terrible at not sitting right up on the fucking microphone.
[02:54] Why is this church starting to run away? Get back here! I was moving something away so it didn't fall over! You listen here, you big-eared frieff! Wow! I mean, I'm not... I can't believe it! I'm being assailed by this big-eared villain!
[03:12] Actually, we're bringing slurs today! Everybody say their favorite slur on three! No! Yay! Yay! Thank you, everybody, for the last session of Rock Riot! I knew it was going to happen eventually.
[03:28] But Thurston, I believe, after basically dealing... With the departure that Orin and the team had to deal with, they went back home and stuff. And I guess they did have that whole celebration and everything else. But what else happened?
[03:47] Well, with that, Orin had retrieved the Essence. At this point, we've collected a few Essences. We've collected Fire...
[04:04] Air... Earth... But... Rahua had visions of the far-off city of Outset.
[04:26] Staggering visions that pulled his attention towards it.
[04:32] And we begin our adventure today as you are on your airship, having departed Orin's homeland of the Fajal Mountains, knowing that... That... That pull that Rahua feels... Is your sole clue on where to travel next. Many of you have... Gone to speak with... Crunch... To improve some of your equipment.
[05:02] Others... Have... Taken some time, perhaps even... Spoken... To some... Some of the more interesting characters on board your airship. That's a mean thing to say about Gron. No. No, no, no. There... There is... There is another. There is an... There was another. Um...
[05:32] Who, you know, maybe provides... Who can provide some purchasing services, which some of you have taken advantage of. Someone who's taken up... Maybe somewhat unwanted residence within your airship. Oh, yeah, our best friend. Yeah, your new best friend. Our merchant. Yeah. Raki, the Raksa.
[06:01] But with all of that, you've each generally kept to yourselves. Yeah. Preparing for the return back... To the city... That started your adventures together.
[06:17] And so, I guess, where I'd like to start off for today, um, is maybe bringing you back together to discuss how you plan to approach Outset. I suspect the good Captain Veena has called you all together, um, into the sort of, um, planning room that you have within to discuss what you're going to do next.
[06:47] I'm gonna throw it to you to give you all a little bit of time. You know you must return to Outset, perhaps not exactly where, but there are many, there are many, um,
[06:59] People you've encountered within the city who could provide you information. There's many things you might wish to investigate. There's also the question of how will you get there? And so, we begin around a table with each of you ready to have this discussion.
[07:21] All right, so, everybody's rested. Everybody got out of their shit and line.
[07:28] Most important question. How do we proceed? Cause they're not gonna let us just walk into Outset. They're not gonna let us dock. They're gonna shoot us down. Or, whatever Marlene would have planned for us. So, do we have an alternative? I mean, we could try to dock further out, but then we would have to walk into the city. That's not going to be a problem. I can teleport us to the Hegemon's Palace or, honestly, anywhere.
[08:03] Perhaps even Baldrick's old house. Though, uh, ideally we should pick somewhere that is simultaneously discreet and not known to the authorities of Outset.
[08:15] True, but how many other places can we possibly find that they don't already know about or that we've been? True, the, uh, the Hegemon's Palace is probably the best one we should hit up. At least we know that we're in leagues of sorts. But you're right in that it's not exactly inconspicuous. We could try the cistern or sneak in through the undercity, although that might get us lost further down.
[08:44] Hmm. I leave it to the board. The board? My goodness. The board. Oh, people like a corporation. My biggest concern is what happens with this ship. You see, if, if, hmm, you see, um, if we don't, hmm, uh, dock somewhere, I, I suppose I could operate the vessel a little bit before, like that, it goes, hmm, Right. I mean, the Hegemon has a dock, but how much do we really want to rely on the Hegemon's help?
[09:17] He does not have a dock. Oh. Never mind. Fuck that guy.
[09:23] He has a cool, like, elevated tower, but not a proper airship dock. There's the docks in the city of Outset, and then the other one is, you know, that Zabalzap's trading outpost had been modified to have one, which you were staying at. It's sort of the, uh, follow up to the prior, uh, catastrophe arc. I don't know if we can call, like, a rickety ass ladder that's supported by nothing up in the air, a dock.
[09:51] It works, it works. It's a dock of a sort. Yeah. I mean, it's either that, or we would have them kick us out over the middle of nowhere, and then fly away.
[10:03] Don't think that's very good either. Zabalzap seems like a fine bet to put the airship. The issue is, is that they're almost certainly going to have a spy within, uh, eyesight of that, uh, eyesore, assuming it's even still round.
[10:22] Right. Uh, Thurston. He is. Would I be able to make a, some kind of check of any kind to try and recall some information about the surrounding areas and what other things could pass for an airship landing in the vicinity of outset?
[10:47] Uh, yeah, sure. Let's take a, let's take a little peek at your skills here. Uh, you know, a great one, I think in this case, um, I would allow survival society even would be a good one. I'll do a society since that one's better. Society. Society. All right. We're going to roll a society. That's at a plus 21.
[11:13] All right. First roll. The game is a 526. Um, the issue is, is that there aren't really like standard docks. The, the solitude that surrounds the city is all, you know, wetland. And one thing you certainly know is that since leaving, there had been kind of this constant storm in the air above. Um, so that has made things a bit trickier in terms of like terrain that might, you know, have like a dry spell or whatnot.
[11:51] Um, zapples apps is pretty much your closest bet. Unless you go further out further than we'll say a hundred miles. Hmm.
[12:03] Then it sounds like zapples apps is probably our best bet. Unless we want to take our chances with just docking at outset. No, I don't think so.
[12:14] Yes. Zapples. That is. Words. Bless you. Okay. Sorry about that. Breathe. Yeah. Turns you off and back on again.
[12:32] That's my pace. I don't have, I don't have a hot or locking magnets in front of you. Well, this this guy got a cardiac quan button. This guy fumbled a single word and turned it into a bit where his heart is stopped.
[12:52] It's good though that we have a kill switch for than how's your V ever gets out. Yes. Oh, thank God. Thank God we've established that. If only, but Ooshauser, that'll be my, that'll be my counterplay. Drew. Yes, I think Zabel Zappa should do it. Chances are, if we're being tracked in any meaningful way by our foes, I'm safe. More than likely, they already know that we're coming.
[13:22] Unless, of course, they've not even thought to scry upon us. And since all of you guys seem to have some sort of problem with my planar palace.
[13:33] You know, which I think is perfectly fine. That place is scrying proof. They don't want to have meetings in there. I don't know why. I mean, very well. I don't know. I don't like the way that the Tanlings, like, exist. I just, I, it just doesn't feel ethical. I don't like how you exist! I don't think that's ethical! And then Tanhauser's gonna get up and slam the door and go cry some more.
[13:58] Okay, we'll come back to that. Excellent, excellent, excellent.
[14:07] Tanhauser's left. You, what are the rest of you doing?
[14:11] So, okay. We dock at Zabblezaps. It's the best choice we have unless you plan on exactly just landing the ship somewhere in a field.
[14:26] No, probably not for the best. No. This tub is probably... Our only way out of, uh, when things inevitably get sticky in Outset.
[14:42] So, we dock at Zabblezaps. We find a way in to Outset. I mean, we were able to sneak through the gates once before.
[14:52] Not liable to happen. Yeah, it's been quite some time since we've last been back there. Even if they don't think that we stand a chance at stopping them, I have a feeling that our dealings have probably resonated all the way back here. They probably know what we're up to. So, look at it like this. Just because we were one of the more prominent groups that were causing trouble for the authorities does not mean that they will not use their supposed victory as an excuse to crack down harder on everything else.
[15:30] It's going to be harder all across the board. Ooh! Ooh! Warren raises a hand. Mm-hmm. Yes, Warren? Who's Zoran?
[15:42] I said Oren. Sorry, I heard Zoran. Oh, I said yes, Oren! I get it. Well, it's what happens when you just take the Z out of the name. Exactly! And fuck all that up.
[15:57] Complaining about his own choices. No, it's my fuck-up. I won't do it. I have made my mistakes. How could you possibly name him that, Odo? I know it's all my fault. I did this to him.
[16:15] Oren, as he raised a hand, he goes like, well, what if we go to Zappa Zaps and if we can't get in, we can ask someone else to go in with, like, a message to all of our friends inside and, like, get information of everything that's happening if they know a better way to get in. That is true.
[16:39] It's good to check up on everybody. I'm pretty sure by the time we've been gone, you know, last we saw everything, well, I know they might have a new city on the outside now, and we might have to deal with that. That is true. Marlene did want to do most of this for real estate.
[17:00] I think when we are closer, we should take stock of that and then plan around that rather than assuming they've managed to expand the border significantly since we were last here. Okay. So we sneak in on foot,
[17:16] Assess where the new entrances are, and figure our way from there?
[17:24] You have a spyglass, right? Yeah, I got a spyglass, I think. Well, then why don't we stay at a distance and observe and get some information about the city we intend to sneak into? Think we could do a flyby safely? Uh, not close to it. That's the point of the spyglass. True. It's in the name. We're spying. With a glass. Mmm. Spyglass. Very wise. He just jazzed his hands.
[17:59] Thanks, Orn. I needed that. Got you. Bark together strong. Bark together. Oh, man, Orn, I knew I liked you at fucking Dap and Love. He daps him out with his bloody hand. It's like, yeah, it's like, the sound of, like, slapping two two-by-fours together. The board in question. Ah! There we go. And back around.
[18:29] Alright, so, if you're okay with that idea, you can pilot us a good distance away and we can observe. We can learn something instead of charging headfirst and assuming everything will just be fine. Well, you happen to be talking to one of the finest pilots this side of Tyne, and my blood alcohol level,
[18:48] Is fine today. Over the driving lane. Over the legal lane. Baldrick goes over to the, a small piece of particle board, which has a square piece of paper on it that says, days since last DUI incident, and he marks it zero. Hey, hey, I haven't been arrested. It's not a DUI if I don't get arrested. That's true, nothing's illegal if you don't get caught. DUI stands for driving under the influence.
[19:17] DUI stands for driving under the influence. Which you are literally doing.
[19:21] I'm... I'm not under that much of an influence. I would say... What DUI stands for? Sub three glasses? Can I, can I make a narrative declaration? Sub three glasses, I don't think it counts. Yeah? Yeah? That's been a hero point to have the alcohol talk to Veena ever so often, so she's under the influence, literally. Oh my god. What the fuck? Like... Listen, can I spend a... Can I spend a hero point to create time's first equivalent to a breathalyzer?
[19:54] A breathalyzer! My... Wait, no! Crafting check. Zorin, you're a genius! Oh why thank you, I'm glad someone found out. The liquor is talking to her! That's why they call it spirits, it's possessed! Yeah! Tru-... True? I hate this. Question mark? I hate how my brain works because immediately, you want to work with turned-on... Take a note. You want to work with turned-on? My brain went to it was cute little fucking elementals from mrs of pandaria those fucking beer elements oh yeah they're the cutest fucking things they're a whole boss and you slaughter them you gotta get behind the pillar so they all stack up yeah yeah and then kill them all yeah yeah and they are the cutest little fucking things
[20:47] That's yeah that's where my brain went uh yeah you can spend it you can mark yourself down here a point we can have the alcohol talk to me first off are you okay with that
[20:58] Anything for the bit Zoran okay I just want to make sure you're okay with the first mark myself down so but there's there's there's consequence to this oh no the the spirits do talk to Vena in fact Vena hears it coming from the hip flask like it's a voice that talks to me which will be role played by Zoran so go ahead
[21:24] Raiden you just want to take another swill of me don't you
[21:31] Come on you gotta you have to you gotta get the juices flowing hold on I'm gonna roll a will save
[21:43] Oh not a unfortunately that's a 36 you wanna take another drink oh yeah that was a failure no no it was not a failure but he's trying
[21:58] Fucking disco elysium at home no don't leave I'm sorry I'm sorry it's okay later tuck it into my back pocket oh I suddenly have a a need to talk about communism where did Dan Houser go he left I said we were gonna go back to him once you were fucking down here just hanging from a fucking noose what the fuck
[22:38] Sorry my brain my brain went to the darkest possible place I have a dark image in my head to where you know like those those like older mains where it's like it's an image but it's like over a black background has this white text under it and like a some usually it's like a motivational thing but it's like whatever I just I just imagine this is Dan Houser on the news and it says I'm gonna rope no damn
[23:07] If we gotta investigate Dan Houser's dead body we really do have disco I didn't know he was a fan of Doki Doki literature club I'm sorry I'm just
[23:17] I'm a terrible person I'm a terrible person what the fuck is that a suicide is that a reference to Doki Doki literature club Doki Doki alright we're moving on from this bit good idea please save us someone we're moving on from this bit I can't do anything because you are conversing with the spirits and Baldrick is an atheist so carry on Ramua walks over to Baldrick walks around our planning table hey so has she been doing that like the whole time is this a new thing this is a new thing it's a new and stupid thing where did she get that bottle
[24:02] Presumably somewhere I don't like that usually talking to objects only works sometimes it's like talking to my orb when I have something inside but ever since Globtalk asphyxiated I miss talking to my vault Rahua what things happen around here you learn how to move past them
[24:26] Yeah oh just like we're moving past part of the city that we fucked up before look down at the uh giant charnel house that we're passing over where everything went wrong oh things do happen Baldrick oh oh yes they do
[24:46] Yep so getting into outset yes yes thank you Vena Vena We're gonna, okay, let's order of operations here. We're gonna do a long distance flyby. We're gonna spyglass in. We're gonna see what all has changed and what our avenues of entry are. We're then going to go dock at Zabblezaps. And then we're going to get out. We're gonna go on foot to Outset and make good on whatever we found in the sky.
[25:20] Is that the plan? Ideally. Okay. Great. Three, two, one, go. That was not the plan. Yeah. We are, we're gonna cut to Tannhauser now. Yeah, if Tannhauser wanted to have input, he wouldn't have walked out. Sorry. Ejects you. You guys shouldn't have made fun of him.
[25:44] Yes, go cry to your Tannlings. My Tannlings will understand me. They have to. Go cry to your tragic mentor figure. Oh, yeah. Look, we have a new art piece for her. Everything. Oh, that was correct. Excellent. Tannhauser.
[26:02] Sadhauser. Sadhauser. Tannhauser paces in the tree engineering bay of the, of the airship.
[26:18] Can you believe it, ladies and gentlemen? It's a beautiful arena. Well, not really an arena. It's a beautiful abode, industrial. Even the Tannlings, they love being there. I still won't go into there, even though it'll save me from being scryed on. Honestly, everything I do for this world.
[26:50] Spit out wine. What? You can talk?
[27:00] Power. Speak to me closer, ladiesale. What are you saying? Do you, like, climb up some of the thick roots of the tree that is embedded? It's all from the center of the engineering area. The, like, partial torso and head of ladiesale emerging from this, this monstrosity of wooden, flesh colored sinew.
[27:42] What, what sort of power? What do you, what do you need from me? Tell me. What's your power be?
[27:52] Uh, okay. I'm going to use my power. I'm going to cast stasis. On her. Okay. Okay.
[28:04] Sure. Stasis. It is, you've held the figure in place.
[28:17] Damnation. I'm going to quickly run up and get, uh, Ruhua or, uh, Orin or whoever the hell we have with a healing potion. Anything.
[28:28] Looks at all my healing spell slots. I don't know, man.
[28:33] I can't do anything. Sorry. I can't do anything. Sorry. I haven't been healing for the past five years. Rough one. Yeah.
[28:40] I said Ruhua or Orin or anyone else. I'll mostly focus on the thing after that. Oh, sorry. Sorry, dude. Oh, yeah. Let me, uh, let me, let me make sure I got, I got a lot. Oh. Ooh. Ooh.
[28:56] So here's the rub. I spent all of my cleric bonds healing crunch because he kept hurting himself. Making me stronger. Ooh.
[29:09] I like that you were just making this up to fucking Spite Speaker. That you were just like, ooh, sorry, bro. I made some bad decisions and they're going to fuck you over. Yeah. Offscreen made some real, I, I made a fucky-wucky. A real fucko boingo. I. Not a fucko boingo. I can't help you with that one. But. Orin. Maybe. Talk to me.
[29:41] Speaker. Yeah. What's Lady Zell's life worth to you? Jesus Christ. What? What the fuck? Fuck. I'm sorry, John Kramer. I didn't realize what sort of fucking game you were playing here. Hey. Hey, Toby. You've already done the kill a person and bring them back bit before. We're not doing it again. Oh, I wasn't even thinking about that one. I just want to know how much he values his life.
[30:06] How much he values her life. Yeah. For who it is. I. I. Who knows that he can get away with doing this because Baldrick is not within eyeshot of him. I. I also like. He doesn't know what I'm doing.
[30:19] I really fucking like that at the beginning of this campaign, I was like, Hulky, you're being of anarchy. You have to press the like fucked up what the fuck button more often. And he's like, yeah, I'll get to it. Yeah, I'll get to it. Boy. Howdy. You got to it. You sure? Yeah. You made it there.
[30:44] I'm assuming Tannhauser just runs in like, oh, God. Yeah. Yeah. Into the room. All of you were there. You all like, see him burst in. Like. Yeah. Oh, there you are, Tannhauser. Hello. Lady Zale is gaining some form of consciousness. Oh shit. For real? Huh? I know she might still be alive in there.
[31:06] I need someone there. She's she's spotted. And she's gathering and talking about power. Someone quickly help. Oh, I have that. I have lots of that. Hold on. I'll just fucking trundle off. Oren looks the Baldrick. You know how to work with airships, right?
[31:23] Uh, not especially, but I suppose more than the rest of you.
[31:29] Can you help Mr. Baldrick? Yes. Well, Baldrick will get up from his seat and he'll head down that way as well. Man. Oren will follow. Oh, that's him. Oh, that's him. Um, I guess I can pilot the airship. That'll say you've got something you need to be doing right now. Oh, yeah, that is true. I have just kind of left us in free fall, haven't I? Right.
[31:54] There's something you should be doing. From the back.
[32:00] You're right. I should be doing substances. That's right. Clearly. I would never abuse substances. I love substances. Amuse me. Amuse me. Do it. Balder, go ahead to the reactor or whatever we're going to call this room, the engine room. Yeah.
[32:19] The group of you minus Vena, who's going to, you know, pilot the ship, return to see Lady Zale in her perpetual state of animate torment within the tree nexus at the heart of the vessel.
[32:38] Balder doesn't know shit about doing the medical stuff. So he's going to attend to the. Machines.
[32:44] Yeah, sure. Give me a crafting check. You got it.
[32:50] Let's see what happens. It's not alchemy. This is not cooking. So 13 on the die for 38. Yeah. Everything is working in the exact same tolerances that it has been working for for the entirety of your journey. Every time you have investigated to check in on what is happening, it is matched to these numbers. Even when you took some extended time. In Golgotha, you actually have very strict tolerances and currently, uh, all of the machinery is working within those tolerances.
[33:26] Machines are doing fine. If you want to attend to the organic part of it, that's the part that we're the most concerned with.
[33:35] May I do a nature check? Yeah, yeah, go ahead. Tell me, I want to offer it to Hulky. Hulky, do you want to do the nature check? I would love to do a nature check. Do you have an arcana check? They can do, you can probably do arcana better than I can. No, I can't. I can. Okay, well, fuck me then. I have two arcana. I'll, I'll fucking, I'll, uh, oh, God.
[33:55] Oh, thank God for untrained improvisation. I'll, I'll do a nature check. I got plenty more I can fish from if somehow I don't hit this. Um, I'll do an arcana check as well, just to help, hopefully. I somehow might not hit this. Uh-oh. Okay. Twenty-four. You can give me an arcana check. Yeah, okay. With a two. Uh, you can give me an arcana check, Speaker. You got it.
[34:18] There we go. Okay. That is a thirty-four. Right. Um, the magical energies are, are, are continuing to do, again, what they have always done. The sort of hybridization between the natural tree, Lady Zale, and the vessel itself seem to be working as they have worked since you found her installing this vessel. Uh, Ruhua, you're not able to tell if there's any... Any variances in the animate life force.
[34:54] You're attempting to sort of coax it out of the tree, but it's, it's, it's a weird flesh tree. It's hard to, it's hard to gauge. Um, Tannhauser, you can just see that all of the animate sort of energies here seem to indicate that things are running normally. It's like as though Lady Zale maybe hadn't spoken at all or nothing changed since we were last here. May I do a medicine check?
[35:17] Yeah, for sure. Awesome. That is a... Wow. We're rolling bad today. That's a two for a total of 27. Yeah, it's about the same thing. Like the body looks as in the same shape you've seen it in before. Um, you, as you, you look it over, maybe you've, you've kind of examined this before during some of your downtime, Auryn. Uh, you, you aren't seeing anything that's different from your prior visits with Lady Zale.
[35:47] Auryn looks to Tannhauser and goes like, I, I don't know what could be wrong. Everything seems fine. As we've checked up on it and he's just kind of like bending over, looking around every bit and baa that he can. Yeah. No, something was changed. It wasn't all in my head. Something's happening. She, she said power. We should bring the airship to full power.
[36:19] Uh, I suppose. Is that sensible? Wouldn't it be sensible? We're here in the open air. Yeah. We'll, we'll get to our destination faster now, quickly, quickly, full power. And, uh, Tannhauser is going to go and start doing everything that he can to, uh, uh, get the machine to go to full power, whatever the fuck that means. Presses the button, self-destruct. Can I help them with that? Because my crafting is probably the correct skill for that.
[36:51] I, I, I've done good crafting. Remember? Yeah. He's a crafter. He's a crafter. I'm a master crafter. Okay. I've got a specialization airship. You could, you could both roll crafting checks and make it a competition. Oh. Can I also craft something? Natural one! Yeah! Oh my god!
[37:14] What is happening? This is so perfect because Tannhauser is fucking panicking. Yes. Absolutely. Just like, power! We have to press all the buttons. I guess. I guess. Tannhauser doesn't do the safe way and, like, fucking Tannhauser is like, no! Push this to the max! Oh my god. It's so painful. The red orc button. I need more power! That means that I get to choose a complication. None of these are the complications I chose.
[37:44] Oh, sorry. I fucked up then. Okay. No. This one is the complication I chose. Okay. Okay. I will choose attention, Gogothen workers. Oh my god. Remember to say, remember to say who it's supposed to be. From. My toad killer dog, my king, my Jarl. God damn it. You spring an ancient trap set by some long-past charismatic tyrant. It immediately plays a pre-recorded message.
[38:15] One moment. One sec. Was Thurston prepared for this? I hope so. I'm pretty sure, I'm not gonna say anything. Okay. I just, everyone wait. Yeah, wait. I have a suspicion. Okay. Tannhauser goes rigid. Oh no. From one of his eyes, actually both of them, emerges a being of pure green holographic light.
[38:54] Attention, Golgothen workers. I will not allow this rebellion to succeed. If you do not surrender immediately, I will be forced to kill everyone on this vessel.
[39:16] This is dope. If you're in there and have society, you can give me a check. Veena is up on the deck doing donuts, just la la la, la la la la. It would be rude of me to superposition myself ahead of Speaker's society check, as this is his realm. It's true. It's true. But Speaker can't speak right now. Yeah. I assume that I'm functionally unconscious while the recording plays.
[39:46] Yes. Well, Baldrick wouldn't know. He can give you a society.
[39:54] What if I didn't? Okay. Anyone else can too.
[39:59] Rua. Oren. Good. Yeah. I got a plus two to it. Let's go. Wow. I got a plus 16. It'll be a 34. I got a seven. I saw that one wink. You have no idea who this is, Oren. But Rua, you have enough to know that the image represented here is that of the tyrant Golgotha.
[40:24] Oh, shit. That's Golgotha. That's the guy. That's the guy. I'm pogging right now. Like, oh, oh, oh. Oh, it's Golgotha. He said the name. Is there any particular reason he's coming out of Tannhauser? I don't know. I don't know.
[40:40] Possibly because of his backstory, as seen in Nier Declaration's Rock Grind. I don't remember what the episode number was. You mean the parts that I wasn't there for, Rahua? I was aboard the ship, as you may recall. It begins in Season 4, Episode 7, and carries on towards Season 4, Episode 13. Thanks, everybody.
[41:08] Thank you, Thursday. Yeah, what he said. It's just like the backstory we all learned about. Yeah, that backstory that all of us learned about. Just notably looks at everybody in the party except for Baldrick.
[41:25] I don't know. Well, can you get him to stop? It stutters slightly. The image begins again.
[41:37] Tension, Golgothan workers. Your failure to surrender is forcing me to take stronger measures. In five minutes, this unit will begin pumping Neurogas into the area. Think of your families as you consider your course of action. Thursday, may I ask you something? Yes. Yes. Would you allow my natural 20 to succeed at maximum overdrive for the vessel, but also so Baldrick can grab a wrench and hit Tannhauser with it so this stops?
[42:14] Yes. Yes, I will. Clang. For people who don't know, he's just literally copying the Deep Space Nine.
[42:26] Hit him in the head until he stops, please. That means that if Lord Golgotha were to somehow appear right now, another tyrant would show up and be like, Lord Golgotha, for your cowardice in attempting to hold the self-destruct, we are now effective immediately. Effective immediately. I've transcended all of your privileges. If you complicate it, you can play it again, I think, right? Wait, wait, wait, wait. You are missing a very important third level, which is, my fellow Golgothans, I regret to inform you that the workers have gained control of the station.
[43:04] That's right, that's right. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, then you have to deal with Golgarthil, and then he'll be a problem. Yeah, that's such a great episode, honestly. It's so fucking good. Promenade!
[43:20] I love that show. Anyway, Tannhauser comes back to consciousness after being hit. Ah! Something is right in Latin. What's going on? What happened? You were projecting a final message from Lord Golgotha about how the vessel is going to be destroyed. I stopped it. That can't possibly be true. Is it true? Is it true? Well, it was, and you're full of a toxic gas. Oh, my God. Well, that would explain some things.
[43:54] Well... It pays me to do this, Tannhauser, but we... You understand desperate times call for desperate measures. Wait, wait, but you... What desperate measure? Uh, Ruhuo picks up Tannhauser. Ah! He begins walking towards the Bombay doors. Ah!
[44:21] Do that I'm scared I don't know how to fall from a very tall height I I would limited power
[44:33] What makes this is cut to vina
[44:41] It's like the tubby custard moment where you're slamming I'm asking for tubby custard but it's just a mug of beer wow I'm really late I waited for rocker in the combat for five months
[44:53] Don't worry I'll tend to speakers touchstone character
[45:00] All right are we on full power uh baldrick will be looking at the you said I succeeded right yep baldrick is looking at the pressure gauges and etheric conduits uh maxing out and preparing to break through the top part of it yes we're maxing and we'll be able to last at this for approximately two minutes before everything ruptures great that should be more than enough time
[45:31] Ladies ale is remains unmoving. Do something. I mean, I could juice her up with some healing, but I don't know if that's gonna fix her. It seems like she's kind of far gone. I could feel her, but I won't. I'm alive. She talked to me. Uh, or am I to do a name check? Dead people before semantics. We didn't talk to dead people. That were our engine in the airship. This is different. Okay, if it'll make you happy, uh, rahul is gonna cast a second level heal on lady zale. The engine can't wait. She does count as living for purpose of healing, right? She's not like an engine. You want me to do a nature check to find out first? Might might be a good check to make. Cool. I'll do that. Okay. God damn it's a three total 26.
[46:37] We're doing a really good job tonight, guys. I rolled a 20. I'm I win. That's true or no wins. She's pretty engine, but she's also here to watch our magic human, so it might work. It might not. It's kind of hard to tell. Really a coin flip. Can I also make a nature check? Or a loisterer? Sure. Do it! He thumbs you up.
[47:06] 16 for 38. Definitely more on the engine side. Definitely more on the engine side.
[47:16] There's organic bits in there, but it's a lot of non-organic bits in there. Um, I'm a keeper to buck with you, Orin. She's more machine than person.
[47:32] Well, not human at least. I can only do so much.
[47:38] Wait. Well, Mr. Baldrick, you're good with that stuff, right? Uh.
[47:46] Fixer! Fixer! Fixer! Fixer! Fixer! Fixer! Fixer! Fixer! Fixer! Fixer!
[47:54] Baldrick is going to... It's a cooling slot that fixes engines! You have that! Baldrick gets up from his post at making the engine max out now. And he's going to go over to the organic engine that everyone is saying is more engine than organic, but I'm pretty sure that's not how that works, and Baldrick is going to walk up to it. Going to walk up to Lady's Ale.
[48:14] I would like to use crafting on Lady's Ale first, and is that acceptable? Absolutely. Okay.
[48:23] Let's do some surgery. Oh, God. That's a two. 27. I presume that will not make a Thurston. She's clearly more organic than machine. I'm going to... I don't want to keep playing hot potato. I'm going to re-roll with a hero point. Sure. Bless you.
[48:48] There we go. A 19. That'll give me 44.
[48:51] Yeah. She is very much connected to the ship via these... These are organic transmission terminals, but essentially it's co-opted her brain and is using her brain to manage a lot of the automation of the vessel. Something you've known about for some time. But also managing stranger things like using her thought processing powers to allow the ship to regenerate if it takes damage and that sort of stuff that is happening with the vessel.
[49:23] You do notice with that kind of a role, though, that there are very subtle, like, movements and markers near where she is embedded. That indicate recent movement, especially in the head. Like, basically, like,
[49:40] Corroborating what Tannhauser told me. In that, she definitely spoke. Where that came from would have been, like, an extreme force of will on her part. The power output of the vessel wouldn't really affect that. If anything, she's probably more distracted by you turning up the power because she's the one who regulates it.
[50:06] Baldrick, like, fuckin', arms deep in the components of the engines in Lady Zale turns for a moment towards
[50:15] Tannhauser. Tannhauser, she's moving less because the power's higher. Go over to the console and turn it down. I've got an idea. Very good. Lower the power. That must have been what she wanted. I'm gonna try to turn all the power off. Can you... Can you... Can you not fight me? I'm trying to help your character, you contrarian! You contrarian bastard! I'm trying to... I'm trying to save Lady Zale's life! I don't give a fuck about the airship! You're gonna crash!
[50:41] Give me a crafting check and don't roll another one. You got it. That's a 12. That's, like, a 1 and a 2. That's a 37 in total. You start dropping it slowly so the
[50:54] Airship doesn't... Doesn't... Doesn't fall like a fucking rock. Thank you for translating Speaker's Madness. In any event, what I was going to say, after that, was Baldrick wants... I have a number of things on me that I would like to try here. Can I... With that high of a crafting check,
[51:15] Can I use a potion on any components of her that are exposed and available to be regenerated, like, say, an Elixir of Life or something, as I happen to have a number of these things on me. You would know with your check, like, you would know with your check, like, this is... This isn't something that is, like, healed. In this way. This is, like, either incredibly powerful magic or massive, massive surgery and removal and, like, agmetics that would require a ton of extra work. This is not something you're going to fix with, like, a healing potion.
[51:52] Well, I'm not looking to fix it. I'm looking to give her a bit more agency. Not correct the issue outright. More just give Lady Zale maybe, a bit more motor control back. Just a little bit more. Okay. So, again, healing wouldn't be the matter. What you'd need is to work in conjunction with someone who can do nature to regulate some of the sort of primal magic from the tree. Someone to regulate arcane to regulate that. And then basically someone to do a medicine or crafting for the sort of, like, organic into the machine.
[52:40] Baldrick is going to reach under his helmet and whistle sharply.
[52:46] Oren. Danhauser. Yeah? Yes. Could you both come over here and assist me with something? I think I may have an in. Good. Good. He hops over.
[53:02] Remind me, you do use arcane, right, Speaker? Yeah. I am a wizard. Yes, indeed. I'm making sure. Last you checked.
[53:11] So what order would you want this done first? And just all of them at once?
[53:16] Yeah. So at this point, I would say the first would be the nature check. On your mind, commuting. Yeah. Oh, I saw that one. Yeah, I domiciled myself too. He kind of, like, sits down in front of it, bird legs crossed and kind of flurries out his wing. So he begins to basically just kind of, like, grab onto the roots of the bottom and begin to commune with it.
[53:41] And as things begin to pulse screen, he rolls a 36. Yeah. That's enough for you to channel some of that natural primal energy that's moving through the tree. As you do so, it's sort of giving up a bit of its, like, tight hold. Some of the sinew, like, bark and stuff seems to lessen its hold. You can see her, her Lady Zale's body slightly shuffles forward, but now the arcane element needs to be managed.
[54:15] Alright, I'm going to activate my Nanite Surge. I will be pumping my all into this. I owe my mentor my life. If there's anything I care about even more than communism, it is Lady Zale.
[54:35] 18 on the die! For a 45! Charge! Yeah. By pumping all of that energy into things, you are able to sort of maintain the energy traveling through her body, keeping her alive without as much of these sort of primal invasive energies that are going in. You see in that moment her eyes slightly widen,
[54:59] But in order to give any more autonomy here, a crafting or medicine check will just be needed to give her a bit of support. Alright, well, I can only screw this up.
[55:13] Alright, we're going to go crafting one more time, and we're going to see if I can keep up the momentum. That was the laziest fucking throw of the die I've ever seen.
[55:26] It's like I picked up the die on 15 and just put it down on 15. Anyway, that was a 15 for 40 total.
[55:34] There is a moment where you are able to keep a slight connection going. You know this will not be permanent. These forces will all snap back into place, but there is a moment where her eyes suddenly go much wider. Her mouth quivers open. All of you see this. Power.
[55:53] Use your power. Tan Hauser. Don't be afraid. Show them what you can do. And then she goes.
[56:08] And the roots begin to like wrap back around and tighten. Baldrick will retract his hands from within the apparatuses and close up any plates or weave back any roots into place. Alright, no more messing with that. That's about as much as we're going to get.
[56:28] Damn it. I swear I will find a way to release you from this. If it takes the last drop of my blood, it will be done.
[56:51] There is no response. What does she mean by
[56:56] Showing us what you can do, Mr. Tan Hauser?
[57:02] It's a feeling we will all discover that in time. Is he going to lay an egg?
[57:13] Rua, shut the fuck up.
[57:23] I need a moment to continue on. We're heading to Zappelzaps, yes?
[57:31] We'll be scouting the perimeter of the city first and then we'll be ready. We'll be moving those apples and I best get up topside. Please keep me appraised. I'd like to be alone for a moment. I'll I'll bring you something to drink and eat in a bit. Thank you.
[57:50] Or a heads up to the to the mess.
[57:54] All right. As you, as you, as those of you going back up to meet Vena on the deck, Vena has taken you to the furthest extremity of distance. You think you can safely manage from the city of that set. Again, there's a massive storm cloud in the distance further west of the city. The sky is entirely overcast, but there is just this dark like ball of rolling thunder that you see flashes within, but no actual like booms or thunder that you can hear audibly, just the crackles of light.
[58:32] The surrounding area is still. The solitude that you remember. There is the winding path that leads out from the city towards the cliffs to the east. The hordes, the endless parade of undead hauling minerals back and forth and goods from those cliffs to the city.
[58:55] That is the majority of what you can see from where you are without the use of any vision enhancing items.
[59:03] Like a spyglass. Like a spyglass. Baldrick will go to Vena, who is presumably like huddled over on the wheel, completely and utterly sloshed.
[59:17] Nah, she she made the will save. She's mostly sober.
[59:24] All right. I'll take that spyglass now. Sure, sure. Um.
[59:31] Does she have a spyglass? I don't have one in my inventory. What?
[59:38] I kind of, I kind of just assumed we would have one ambiently on the ship, like, like having a pair of scissors in your house. It's just kind of one of those things. Thurston, upon hearing from Vena, who is manning the wheel that we don't have a spyglass, he's going to jam his hands in his pockets. He's going to go downstairs. He's going to seek out Racky and he's going to ask how much it is to call to purchase a spyglass.
[1:00:04] Hi there, friend. Hello. So good to see you coming into my shop.
[1:00:13] How much for a spyglass? A telescoping spyglass of some kind. Woo. You are one of those to peek on things.
[1:00:24] All right. Yup.
[1:00:32] Can I ask what you're peeking on? A city. Guards. Things.
[1:00:45] There's just this, like, just this, like, high pitched joyousness from him. Like, again, very strange creature.
[1:00:56] He withdraws a spyglass.
[1:01:05] All right. What's this rated for? About how far out does it go? I don't know. I suppose that'll have to do. How much are you asking?
[1:01:18] Eight of gold. Baldrick will reach into his own pack and he will produce. Eighty gold from the amount that he has, and he is going to pass it over to Racky.
[1:01:33] There you go. Takes it. It all goes into the apron. He steeples his his like claw, his gloved clawed hands together.
[1:01:50] Black orbs stare at you. There is no light in this fey raccoon creature's eyes. Just darkness and a wide grinning smile. He stares at Baldrick, who the eyeless slit of his helmet stares back out at him, empty and void of anything charitable, kindly or warm, and he will hold out his hand, waiting to procure the spyglass from him, slides the spyglass over. Baldrick will gingerly extend his entire arm to it before picking up the spyglass with three fingers and a thumb.
[1:02:34] And then gently tuck it into his coat pocket.
[1:02:38] Good. And as you do, as you do this, Baldrick, there is there is just a brief, brief moment where the light catches on on on the the the the rack saws you're leaving.
[1:03:06] Oh, thank you. And don't forget about the parking lot. Remind Rahuah for me.
[1:03:15] I will. Baldrick will return slightly circuitously around and he will move past. He's going to move past the engine room where I presume that Rahuah is leaving. Yes. Or has Rahuah sticking around to annoy Tannhauser and his his master?
[1:03:38] Oh, how or until how I wish how I wish to prove you wrong.
[1:03:46] I know. But I won't. Rahuah is just puttering around with Tannhauser trying to suss out the nature of his powers, his devious Tann powers. My devious Tann powers. I never stop me from gathering all the Tannhauser. Why do you make it sound like that? Baldrick walks past the open door and he kind of like holds the spyglass up and just like, you know, rolls his hand back and forth side by side.
[1:04:18] You're side to side as he looks over at Rahuah as if showing off the spyglass. He then hold he then points out his free hand to Rahuah and says, don't forget parking lot.
[1:04:32] You watch the smile on Rahuah's face fade to a deep frown, then fear.
[1:04:42] And then Baldrick carries on. He has spying to do. We'll deal with Raki later. You watch the frown on Tannhauser's face. His face fade into a deep smile.
[1:04:55] This is what we call the law of equivalent exchange.
[1:05:01] Both of these characters who famously can't change their expression.
[1:05:08] Rahuah is sitting there annoying the shit out of Tannhauser. He gets annoyed. Tannhauser is now happy that Rahuah is having the shit annoyed out of him.
[1:05:20] Paracelsus. Chewing rhinoceros beetle. Be a Dolorosa. Many people are saying this. The light just starts shooting out of Tannhauser.
[1:05:34] Finally, I see it. A convergence point. Oh, God.
[1:05:42] Yeah. Okay. Okay. All right. Um, let's cut back to, uh, Baldrick. You are on the deck with your newly acquired spyglass, correct? That is what I, that is what I hope to do.
[1:06:02] Okay. Perfect. Uh, I have to hedge my bet.
[1:06:07] I mean, fair enough. Um, all right. You begin to, to, you know, you come to the edge of the deck of the airship and you begin to peer. Peer through, looking towards the distance, looking towards the city of Outset, and as you, as you look to see the city to which you belong, you see vast constructed edifices occurring along its outer walls. The slabs of stone, the wood as the outermost wall, possibly the most.
[1:06:51] Consistent thing in your upbringing, in your entire life, um, you see as that is being expanded upon and through the spyglass, you can see, and as you continue to watch through it, things somewhat change.
[1:07:18] Our, our camera that we view this scene through takes a bit of a turn. A bit of a, a sepia-tone wash, and all of the construction along the outer wall disappears, and it's back to the Outset. We know throngs of people moving in and out. In fact, the sky has changed to be far cleaner, cooler, and the, the, the, the vision we have cuts down into one of the entry ports of the city.
[1:07:52] And as we go towards Outset. Towards that entry point, we zoom in on two characters, one familiar, one not as familiar, but someone we all remember. The young Rahua takes his first steps into the city of Outset alongside his mentor, other figure, the King of Moths.
[1:08:24] The King is bringing Rivers into the city of Outset for the first time to show his creation, civilization.
[1:08:45] The streets are packed bustling with people. How is the King of Moths introducing the vast and great city of Outset to the mere weeks old child of Anernal? Come along, Ruhua. Let me show you around town. And the King of Moths is going to first introduce Ruhua through perhaps the most important part of Outset.
[1:09:26] Looking at the grandest pilasters from a distance,
[1:09:34] Standing at the edge of the Pawn's Pilaster into the niceties of, if I'm not mistaken, the Baron's Pilaster's neighboring, correct? Ooh, you know, we have a cool map. Yeah, let's consult the map. Yeah, it's been a little bit since I looked at the map. Yeah, we have a cool map I can just... Look at this, look at this, bam, look at that. The Pawn's Pilaster isn't really a pilaster because it's a big hole, but then the Baron's Pilaster Look at that, right there.
[1:10:04] Wow, I kind of got it. Yeah, so probably from one of the dilapidated buildings closer to the edge, but still in sight of the Pawn's, just looking over at how the finer people live. Up there in the Baron's Pilaster. Well, actually, the Baron's Pilaster isn't where good people live. You want the Prince's Pilaster for that. Up there in the Prince's... The Baron's Pilaster is like the brutalist Mad Max, the cops rule there area.
[1:10:39] So what actually happens is the King of Moths shows him the Baron's Pilaster and says, look at it, isn't it beautiful?
[1:10:48] It is certainly very pretty. Oh, shit, wrong one. Sorry, we got to go. We have to walk another 10 minutes down this way. And then we'll show him. Now look at that. Isn't that beautiful?
[1:11:06] You're rising above. That is more beautiful than the previous pilaster, my King. You see, that's right. That's exactly correct. It's a beautiful Pawn's Pilaster. Go ahead, take a look at it. Look at its grandeur and tell me... Holy fuck, are you just Matt Barry? I think he's... Moth Barry. Holy shit, yes. The secret is... Is that the King of Moths has never had a consistent voice because he's an illusionist mage.
[1:11:36] You see? You see? But surely he'll use his truest voice for Rahua. Which is Matt Barry. That's fair. Good, thank you.
[1:11:48] So go ahead, take a look at the... At the Prince's Pilaster. Tell me what you see. Please, your newborn eyes might see more than even these wizened orbs. What does Rahua see looking into the Prince's Pilaster? It's an elevated area. You are at one of the few apex points of the Pawn's Pilaster that allows you to look upwards. Many of the sort of city areas here are, you know, buildings on top of buildings on top of buildings.
[1:12:21] So some places there is no sky. But here, especially near the sinkhole, there is a bit of vision up. You see that, that sort of buildings on top of buildings on top of buildings rising up. Like clawing arms of countless beings climbing atop one another. Until you see not a pilaster. The concept of seeing the Prince's Pilaster is so laughable because of all of the great spires and structures that dance around it for attention.
[1:12:52] As though the pinnacle of this area is like a vast metropolis built on top of these other areas.
[1:13:03] It is... a cacophony of architecture. So many different things. As time progresses, it seems it gets newer and newer as it reaches further and further towards the sky.
[1:13:17] What delightful bedlam. Indeed. But is it really, truly bedlam?
[1:13:28] The King of Moths notices something. The King of Moths' contact is waving them from an alley. They know they must take this alone.
[1:13:39] Excuse me just a moment, my small and beautiful star-son. Let me tend to a little bit of business.
[1:13:50] And I'm going to go and quickly step away and see what my contact wants.
[1:13:58] Absolutely. As you go off and talk-speak with your contact. Rahua, you continue to look up and marvel at this. But maybe a minute later, you hear a shout. So it's up. Hi there! Everything okay?
[1:14:21] Some man approaches in overalls. He has these thick gloves. He's put down a wheelbarrow nearby, which contains various broken pieces of stone. Hi there! Oh, hello!
[1:14:41] You look a little bit different. You okay? New first time here? Yes! How did you know? Oh. Well, I just know. I'm, you know, don't see trees here that often. Oh, well, I'm not a tree per se. I am... um...
[1:15:07] It's... this is a very tree-like body, but... no, I'm a... I'm a Konrasu. At least that's what I'm told I am.
[1:15:16] You know... Kon... Rasso. Okay. Is that from out east?
[1:15:27] Uh... possibly? I... I don't think so. Oh. Do you mean there are... Okay. No, you wouldn't know if there are more like me since you don't even know what I am. But... no, I'm... I am not a tree. But yes, this is my first time here. I...
[1:15:47] Apologies. I'm just taking in the sights. I'm perfectly all right. That... that pilaster over there is... beautiful. How many different things, shapes, designs, and motifs of architecture all together.
[1:16:05] Yeah, it's big up there. What? I've been up there twice. In class. Once I got lost.
[1:16:19] Lost? Yeah. I went to the wrong place. Went up there.
[1:16:25] How was it? What was it like being up there?
[1:16:30] Busy. Oh.
[1:16:36] That's not a bad thing. Busy is good. Busy means bustle and people and... and life as a whole. All running around the trample of every little story going on at once. He lets out like a... like a soft laugh. But... he puts his gloved hand up... up to your shoulder. I like you. Got the... rustle of life to you. Don't let anyone take that from you. I see all sorts of folks come here.
[1:17:06] Just get it beat out of them. Rustle of life? Yeah.
[1:17:14] Rustle that goes through you. I guess because you got leaves. But... just kind of goes through you. Keeps that vibrancy. Always be vibrant. Always be spontaneous. Yeah.
[1:17:25] Spontaneous. That's right. What is... what is spontaneous? I'm not familiar with that.
[1:17:33] Well... do what you want. When you want. How you want. Hmm.
[1:17:42] Is that... okay. Something... am... am I allowed to do that?
[1:17:49] He goes back to his wheelbarrow. Lifts it up. Some of the rocks... oh, you're allowed to do whatever you want. Welcome to Outset. City and... maybe... making your dreams. And he starts walking off. Girl. Well... it was nice meeting you. Thank you.
[1:18:06] I... don't believe I caught your name. And as you... as you shout that... the day... like... the... the... people begin to move around. Obscuring your sight of this man. And as you... as you try once more to reach him... the King of Moths emerges. Rahua! Just the Konrosu I was looking to see. Come on. Come on. We've got places to be. You wanted to go to... and see the prince's pilaster?
[1:18:31] How about getting it up close? Oh. That would be wonderful. Are we headed there right now? That's right. And all you need to do is to hold these. And I hand him two bushels of... leaves that are all tied together.
[1:18:48] Okay. Right. If anyone asks, you're a bonzer. Come on.
[1:18:54] And... camera pans as King of Moths leads Rahua... up towards the more spectacular area... of... the prince's pilaster. And with that, let's take a break. That's why the party's airship is gonna be called Air Canada. Don't worry. I'll be putting... I'll be putting my ham back in the fridge now. And the customer service will be just as bad.
[1:19:20] Yeah, exactly. We're gonna have Tannhauser on the phone. We... we cut back. Uh... to... to Tannhauser being there, I'm gonna make Zurn press buttons a bunch now. Oh, maybe... yeah, we cut back onto the deck of the airship. As Baldrick, you have finished your scouting of the city. You've seen the construction. You've seen the movement around. Buildings and structures coming out from the city walls. Otherwise, the city of Outset seems much as before.
[1:19:56] Construction happening on the interior. The... the vast column of undead carrying supplies to the city. As... as you've inspected, you can see that others have now come up onto the deck. Rahua, Oren, Tannhauser. All of you sort of able to stare down at the city that started your adventure, though far in the distance.
[1:20:23] Uh... Baldrick is just going to close up the spyglass and tuck it away in his coat again.
[1:20:31] Well... As expected, they haven't made a whole lot of progress. How long have we had a spyglass? I... We didn't. I had to buy it. Veena was a liar.
[1:20:45] Yeah, sorry. High five! Wha... If you high five him, I'm not your friend anymore. Fuck! Shit! God damn it! Guys, I've... I've had a very emotional day. I'm just trying to get it up, alright? Just... Just... Just continue on with another spyglass. I... Hmm.
[1:21:08] Hmm. Okay. Yeah, Thurston? No. Nope. Nope. You got something you want to say, Thurston? Move along. Like that episode of Deep Space Nine, move along home. Just move along.
[1:21:29] What are y'all... What are y'all gonna do now?
[1:21:32] I'm letting them do their thing. I have information.
[1:21:37] Yeah. Alright. So then... Same entry plan? Yes. We go to Zappelzaps and then we teleport into town.
[1:21:49] We what? We teleport. You could teleport? I'm a go... Yes.
[1:21:57] I can. I mean, I've seen you do it to yourself. I just didn't know we could tag along. I... Yes, you did. Yes, you did know that. You did know that I could do that. Oh, he's looking up at you. You just... You're... You're just that drunk and you forgot me. Wait, wait. The camera... The camera pans as this is going. Jesus. The camera pans slowly over to Rua.
[1:22:19] Just like, say the line, Mulky. Say the fucking line.
[1:22:30] Yeah, maybe say it. No gods, no masters.
[1:22:41] Anyway, I'm sorry for dropping down your throat like that. I didn't mean to. I didn't mean to let out... I... I'm trying to be... It's okay. You've had a really rough day. I forgive you. Trying to be kind Hauser, not mad Hauser. It's rough.
[1:22:54] It's okay, buddy. I believe in you. Yeah. Yeah. Thank you. All right. At least somebody does. You know what? You're... You're fucking next. You're fucking next. You're the next one. What? What? What did I do?
[1:23:11] I merely... What the fuck did you just say to me? What the fuck did you just say to me, you little shit? All right. All right. All right, ladies. No arguing. No arguing. You're both pretty. Oh, thank you.
[1:23:26] So, to Zabalzaps, then? To Zabalzaps. Then... Then I will teleport everybody. While we... While we walk... While we get landed, let's think about where you want me to teleport all of us.
[1:23:46] Right. Okay. Uh, Rahua, did you see any specific locales? No. And if you see any stats in your visions?
[1:23:56] Baldrick puts his head in his hands. I were going to go, possibly, to the one place where we have a foothold.
[1:24:12] The Tower of– He can't even finish. He's.... He's losing it. I thought we were gonna go to the people's condemned tenement.
[1:24:25] There's a number of places we can go. Damn. That is... That is... We don't have to rethink where we're going to go. What matters is that we go to one of them. All right.
[1:24:41] To answer your question, though, Veena, no, I didn't see anywhere in particular. Mostly because my player does not remember from two months ago what happened. You also weren't looking. You also weren't using the spy class. That was what Baldrick was doing. I mean, I might know where we could have gone if it was in the vision, but I forgot.
[1:25:07] We should run a heist movie, and it's just every now and then we forget what we're doing. No, it's between every scene, month-long hiatus, no break. We're going to remind you. Holy shit. That would actually be incredible. I would love heat if they just occasionally were like, all right, so we're going to rob the store, right? No, we're robbing a bank. Okay, we're going to... We're going to steal the ATM outside, right?
[1:25:36] No. No plan survives contact with the enemy, or in this case, with the ally.
[1:25:45] Correct. No plan survives. Kill them all. If I got to turn them out. So the Tower of the Hegemon, is that what I'm hearing? That's what Baldrick is suggesting, considering...
[1:26:03] There's no reason for us to have antipathy towards Impest at this point, given we are not exactly... Well, we are beggars, and therefore we cannot reasonably be choosers. Oof. Oren raises a hand. What's up, Oren? For someone like that, who would, you know, be living in a floating tower thing, and potentially know a lot of stuff about magic and everything else, would he have any defenses to stop people from just teleporting in?
[1:26:33] Well, if you really want to... We could teleport into the sewers and walk there, but that raises its own bevy of queries and questions. And besides, do we really want to rely on the Hegemon's goodwill? Yes, we're nominally on the same side, but I think we should avoid his patronage. It's all the same to you guys. Nonsense. Listen, he may be a class enemy, and that's enough.
[1:27:05] But, uh, he's helped us often enough. I don't see any reason why we should, uh, distrust him. Our goals are aligned. He ran me over with a chainsaw car, Townhouser. Yep, that was one time. Me and Oren both. That was one time, and he said he was sorry. He said he was sorry, right? No, not particularly. He wasn't sorry. All right, I'm gonna write down here in my notebook, and I take out my little red spell book.
[1:27:33] Get Hegemon to......apologize to Veena......class phone for running over W slash chainsaw car. Double round the line, so I know it's important. Right! Well, that's gonna be our second order of business, but the first one is gonna be getting a grasp back on the revolutionary movement.
[1:27:58] Ugh.
[1:28:03] Right, I... I'll tolerate the Hegemon if I have to.
[1:28:11] But I would prefer to go......to Baldrick's house. Baldrick has a house?
[1:28:21] Well... Townhouser, walk the plank. Ugh, not again.
[1:28:30] Baldrick, like, puts a hand on his hip and just, like, motions to the rest of them. You know, you guys keep making this joke, and it has never been funny to me.
[1:28:43] Maybe you should stop. Now. Well, I suppose it's......you don't really live there anymore.
[1:28:56] Maybe. You know that... You know that one, like, picture of the, uh......the horse that's got its, like, picture taken, but it's, like, really close to the eye and the nose is really far in the distance? I want you to imagine that's what Townhouser is seeing when......when Baldrick gets really close to him. Yeah, okay.
[1:29:18] The bucket is in, like, an extreme fish eye lens. Yeah. Yeah, he's getting really close to......Townhouser.
[1:29:29] I have an idea. Let's hear that idea! Yes. Uh-oh. He gets nervous, everyone looks at him now. Everyone turns. Now he's scared. He gets excited. Ha-ha-ha. Um... Well... If......if Barleen knows......you know, we're out here......and she might be keeping people on the lookout......I would probably guess for somebody to keep tabs on us, they would have someone monitoring......us as much as possible, so......Pegemon might not be the safest place...
[1:30:03] ...even though we could benefit from it......but......our friends who helped us......you know, during the whole big revolt and revolution sort of deal that we did......you know......there's our friends......that helped us out......and they're probably still around, but......one thing we could probably do is teleport to the Cackling Jackass......one of the least places they would suspect......and...
[1:30:29] ...that's true. Oh yeah, he's fucking killed us. If there's one house on the second story......we can go there, it might be abandoned......or Duhacus might be there......and if so......they'll have contact with everyone else and......we can slip through and not go to any major hotspots. We just have to stay underground for a little bit......and sneak through. Oh, and that's an excellent idea. And if we really want to avoid getting, uh...
[1:30:55] ...in the sights of any of our enemies......there's always......my planar palace......which I would encourage you to think of as......almost like a people's......tenement. So the Cackling Jackass... Yeah, the Cackling Jackass, we're going there. Yeah, I know, I know. It's fine. It's stupid. It's just......six level spells or something like that.
[1:31:23] Yes, you can cast six level spells. You're a wizard, we know. Yeah, yeah, okay. Do you know?
[1:31:32] So, if we go to the Cackling......oh, sorry, go ahead. No, it......we literally do this forever. Okay. So if we go to the Cackling Jackass......so......we have to kind of take stock of what our next steps are going to be......because...
[1:31:52] ...it's like, for one thing, like, Mr. Rahua, didn't you say that......we need to find someone here? Well, yes.
[1:32:01] We need to find my father. My creator. The King of Moss.
[1:32:09] And so......so with our contacts that we have......you know, from Mr. Tannhaus's revolutionaries, then......there must have been a network that survived......so we have to check whatever contacts......points that he's ever made. Please, please, please just......as a note on that point......because you would know enough......or you would remember enough. Remember that......Marlene was involved with setting all of that up. Yeah. I'm saying survived as in someone infiltrated the thing...
[1:32:42] ...and then they must have tried to fucking survive somewhere else. You know, like, or just to find any remnants of it. Like, I'm......I remember it being super subverted......and......things. So we're just thinking, like, what are the survivors......who might still believe in the cause, right? Yeah. It absolutely, like, was damaged in that aspect......but I also remember before we left......didn't we have......didn't we leave some folks in charge?
[1:33:07] Like, um... Yeah, left Tesson? The mouse guy? Yeah. And our lovely, uh, Griffin friend. Uh, to sort of... The Hocus? Yeah, yeah. To, uh, reorganize... Gargoyle. Yeah, Gargoyle. I......why am I thinking Griffin? Because it's... Winter...
[1:33:23] ...Griffin...
[1:33:30] The old people's friend. The family's guy. So, do we just have to find places where they might frequent? And, you know, Tessin and all of them, like, I mean, best I remember, Tessin was kind of with the higher-ups around, but, well, no, he's being hunted. He remembers the time where he was about to get executed.
[1:34:00] So he's like, well, so he would be underground, so we have to have context somewhere. It'll just take a lot of groundwork. Give me a day in the city and I can rediscover our revolutionary contacts. Yeah, and then with them, we could then find who his dad and then see if he could help us. You know, try to fix all of this and find the bit of power we need.
[1:34:26] Yes. Wow. That sounds like a good plan to me. Oh, also, Mr. Baldrick. Yes? Did you have that big scary box thing with Zapplezap? No, it's on our ship. Oh, sorry, I forgot. Ignore that. No, I think it's funnier if Orin forgets that we had the potential, like, house planet destroyer aboard our ship and not with the Yokai. No, you're right. He's a typical mosquito man. You're right. It's in the bomb bay and everything else.
[1:35:01] I just forgot. I'm sorry. It is funnier. I'm sticking with it, though, in character. He's like, Oh, yeah. He just remembers the bomb he passes every fucking day. More of his feathers fall off.
[1:35:17] Yeah, everyone that has hair is actually balding. No! Because of this close proximity. If any of you thought there was going to be a follow-up campaign with any of their children, I got news for you. We are so irradiated. They are all going to be flash warps. Yeah. Wait, how can Tannhauser have children? Well, Mr. Rahula... Oh, grit and determination. Whoa! Mr. Rahula, who is the King of Moths?
[1:35:48] I don't think you've really talked about him at all with us. True. Well... Have I not Cosmo Canyon backstoried about my dad?
[1:35:59] Have I not Cosmo Canyon backstoried about my dad? It all began like... Brain?
[1:36:12] Brain is working? It's okay, take your time. I can do basic math.
[1:36:19] Yes, Rahula, King of Moths is your dad. Seven years of Go. Seven! Oh my god, he's seven.
[1:36:33] Oh my god, I feel like a very bad force inside of me struggling against, stopping me from saying what I want to say.
[1:36:46] Seven years ago, I did not exist. But, it's through the actions of my creator, my
[1:36:59] Father, the King of Moths, a... A leader of a rather enterprising group of scholars and
[1:37:11] Religious figures. Zealots, you might call them. He believes strongly in some notion of apotheosis, of a way to stop the rot, or possibly to transcend any threat that it might have been.
[1:37:36] Suffice to say, his work and the work of his followers did not... They didn't descend in a traditional fashion. Maybe some part of them is still within me.
[1:37:53] But either way, at the end of everything that they had done, I was all that was left. Well, save for him.
[1:38:02] The unexpected fruit of his labors. Now I, having been rent from the firmament,
[1:38:13] Cradled in a ramshackle put-together form that you see before you,
[1:38:20] Was left alone. Virginal, for the first time the universe experiencing itself, but truly through the eyes of a child. A thing that should not be. That was me. And through him, I learned as much as I possibly could about the world. He taught me everything.
[1:38:47] He introduced me to Outset. What people do. The world at least in some capacity.
[1:38:56] But at some point he had just sent me on my way. And thought that, oh, I'm off to kind of figure out myself and interact with the world.
[1:39:08] I don't know if it was part of some bigger plan or just you know, what parents did with their kids of sending them off. Although seeing with several of you, maybe
[1:39:22] Maybe that was just it. After all, how do you keep a what, seven foot tall toddler who can break things with but a moment's consideration you know, control magic. How do you stop that? How do you not say, oh yeah, go ahead you can go off and fuck off and do anything you want. I don't blame him. For kind of kicking me out. I was a lot to deal with.
[1:39:59] Still I wonder. I haven't talked to him or seen him in several years now. Ever since we have left Outset. Ever since that day in the prison.
[1:40:17] I've heard of nor seen him any further.
[1:40:23] You think he'll want to see you again? I would think so. I'm sure he'd be delighted to know how much we've learned and especially the progress made towards stopping the Rot. I think he would be delighted to know that.
[1:40:41] I'm sure it'll be a lovely reunion. Or not.
[1:40:49] And um, you think he'd be more sympathetic to us than Marlene?
[1:40:55] Probably. Especially seeing as Marlene doesn't have any intention of stopping the Rot and just kind of letting it happen.
[1:41:04] Actively using that, that endangering people's very existences, their immortal souls.
[1:41:12] True enough. I'd be hard pressed to believe he wouldn't at least strongly consider helping us.
[1:41:29] Though it doesn't really solve the issue of I have no idea where he is. Or who it thinks back drawing upon his memories of anything that might give an inkling of where he might have gone off to. Something he might have said. Maybe a last letter or conversation. Maybe even think about that over the next few episodes. Yeah, that's true.
[1:42:04] Well also your real name is Nanaki. True!
[1:42:10] That's a deep cut for the Final Fantasy fans out there.
[1:42:15] Auron looks over the edge of the ship. How close are we getting? I mean, you're gonna be there within the next hour. You'll be able to land at Zappelzaps.
[1:42:28] Well, Mr. Tannhauser, is there anything you need for your spell?
[1:42:33] No, I don't think so. Let me double check my preparations, but it should be all. Just concentration and a firm idea of where it is that we're trying to go.
[1:42:46] Hmm. Do we have anything from Duhakus that could help with it? You know. I'm guessing like he tries to do some goobly goop and whatever's from Duhakus would help.
[1:43:00] Uh, do we still have Globtalk? No. No, he suffocated. Baldrick says this not knowing what happened to Globtalk. No. I have a question. I have a question. Yeah. Do you have the corpse of Globtalk that we could use as a focus? Specifically, I have Globtalk in my inventory. He's never left. Can we use the corpse of Globtalk as a focusing element to the teleportation spell to get to the cackling chat?
[1:43:35] That's fucking Bloodborne! Jesus!
[1:43:42] That is an option that is available to you should you choose to pursue it, yes. So we are confirming that Globtalk is in fact dead. I'm going to extend a hero point. If any, if Globtalk appears, I will make him alive. I will spend my hero point to bring Globtalk back into the story. Alright? He's the only mean that we've had for all of this time that we've never gotten completely sick of.
[1:44:13] That is true. He has outlived Bremblo. He has outlived the clowns. He's outlived so many beautiful things. We love you Globtalk. I want to spend a hero point to say that Globtalk is now a level 10 adventurer. But think, just now, now Globtalk can help instead of hinder. No, that's the thing. We sent him to the Fire Emblem baby dimension and it turns out he's just been aging up into a playable unit this whole time.
[1:44:45] He's going to come back and he's going to be like, Hello my friends. I have learned much in my exile. He looks exactly the same. He's like fucking Joe Tom. Oh, it's going to be business baby or whatever the hell those buzz babies are. Oh, I hate that.
[1:45:02] Hello father. I have matured long time in the hyperbaric time chamber. I'm ready to no longer hinder but help and hate. And hate? I wish I had a hero point. Hey Thurston, can I take a pity point to narratively declare all that's true?
[1:45:21] You don't even have to do that. Thurston, I have a hero point. I narratively declare all that bullshit is true. Oh no. Wait. We haven't even tried to sub him yet. He has one notable difference. He has a completely chiseled jawline. But he's still basically a baby. That's pretty good. He's a fucking tumor homunculi. Yeah, but he got better. No he didn't. Consider that. Consider the tumor improved.
[1:45:55] No he didn't. He didn't get better at all. We didn't even use him. What are you talking about? Shut up.
[1:46:05] Come on, Globetalk. After all we've been through. Come on, Globetalk. We have to write for the Game Master's verdict. Thurston. Is Chad Talk a thing? He uses Globetalk as a railgun shell.
[1:46:21] Chad Talk. Chad Talk. Sorry. Sorry, sorry, sorry. So of course I'm like, oh god, where's like a Globetalk asset? It's been so long. Um.
[1:46:37] One sec. Give me a moment. I forgot something. We did this as a special. It's fine. The first time we met Duhoc is it was when she was hanging out with Dr. Grif. No, one sec, one sec, one sec. I've gotta update the Rahua episode arc, episode one art assets. We're doing this on the fly. As a question, Thurston. Just as a quick side thing, are you trying to get a particular handout card?
[1:47:05] Oh, I've got it. I know where it is. Make sure it's the one we removed.
[1:47:10] Oh, yes. Removed? I'm scared. Oh, shoot. Wait, is this the right one? Okay, you might, this is on your thing so I'm not sure if you deleted it or not. One sec. I think this is the good one. I'll send it to you real quick. Yeah, send it to me real quick. For context for everybody else, there was one that was not rendered in a way that we found cool.
[1:47:36] Don't do that one. Yeah. Okay, that's what I figured. That's the banned one. Don't do that one.
[1:47:43] Yeah, okay, one sec. There's another option here.
[1:47:49] I have something far better. One sec. Just give me a moment. They have brought this upon me, everyone. I haven't done shit.
[1:48:02] That's right. Get a hero point, Baldrick. Thank you.
[1:48:07] Can I, uh, spend Baldrick's hero point to add more to the Globetalk mythos? No. You can't spend anything because you have no cents. Well, I've got plenty of cents. They're all in the people's loot. That was good. One sec. I've got something far more hideous to use as an asset here. Oh, excellent.
[1:48:26] Oh, no. Excellent. Okay, here we go. AI Globetalk. There you go. Yeah! Why is he so close? He's got... His head's gotten bigger, but his body is the same.
[1:48:49] So, opening... Rahua opens the pet cache dimension.
[1:48:55] Are you reaching into the pet cache dimension, Rahua? I am, because it kicked me out of the board, so I need to... Oh, no.
[1:49:08] That's fair. Foundry just said, bit over. I guess so. Hold on, give me a second. I think Veena's been hitting telephone poles near me again.
[1:49:20] Damn, sorry about that one. VTT's having a bit of an issue today, so it's going to take you a bit. Just to move along, Thurston, you just want to take over. I'm reaching into the pet cache. I'm pulling him out. Okay. You reach into the pet cache. You search. You eventually find
[1:49:36] The desiccated homunculi that is Globetalk.
[1:49:46] Oh. Globetalk. It's been a while since you saw sunlight, hasn't it?
[1:50:02] Globetalk. Hurt.
[1:50:07] I'm so sorry. I'm gonna be real. I thought that you were back in Outset.
[1:50:21] I thought that we established that, like, two years ago.
[1:50:29] Globetalk. But you've been here. Waited. Poor bad people. Is there ever any doubt? Yeah. I can self-delude.
[1:50:51] It's okay. Globetalk, I can help you. I swear to hell, if you're about to suffocate the bastard, I won't let you. Final sacrifice. Oh, that's so much more innocent than I was thinking.
[1:51:09] I thought something dark. Oh. Here I am. Wait. They're perfectly taken care of inside the pet cache, so they should still be okay. However,
[1:51:25] Globetalk, I know it's been winks at you. It winks at me? What?
[1:51:37] What the fuck? Globetalk is fucking with us? I'm confused. Sass talk? Hello? It just winked.
[1:51:46] Globetalk, do you want to help? Do you want to become a warrior? We can use all the help that we can get right now. If you trust me, I might be able to help you.
[1:52:09] You can just nod your head. Globetalk. I...
[1:52:26] I forgot about his ass for like three years. Hold on a second. I've still got... I've still got two unallocated languages.
[1:52:43] Fuck off. No, you don't. There's no way. There's no way you've not used up all of them. The last one was dinosaur. Oh, that is true. Japanese.
[1:53:00] That's right. Globetalk is speaking Japanese. That's right. Can I... Can I use another language slot for Globetalk?
[1:53:13] You know what? Yeah, absolutely. I think that's gonna have a lot of use throughout the remainder of this campaign. Just tag it in there, boss. Absolutely. Okay, cool. I'll look at Globetalk and I am going to look him in the eyes. I'm going to say,
[1:53:34] Globetalk. Which of course translates into, how are you doing comrade? What is your state of health? Have you been mistreated? Oh my god.
[1:53:50] Globetalk, I have been in the dimension outside of existence for untold amounts of time and I don't know what is going on or why you have brought me out here.
[1:54:05] Globetalk, would you like me to attempt to Oh.
[1:54:15] This is definitely gonna take a hero point. Globetalk, would you like me to attempt to make this easier for you and solve your pain? Globetalk, please do not hurt me. I've endured enough pain. I wish to continue existing. Since my original creator was destroyed, all I have craved is an existence of my own. But I have been trapped in this dimension for so long. All I crave is existence and there's a lot of nuance to that Globetalk.
[1:54:52] Thurston, as an alchemist, as the only alchemist here, as the only alchemist who could reasonably do something about Globetalk in any capacity, positive or negative. Positive or negative. I'm going to spend a hero point to make Globetalk real.
[1:55:17] What do you mean? What do you mean real? I'm going to use my I'm going to roll a crafting I would like to roll a crafting check. To make him a real boy? To make him a real boy. Yeah, sure. Okay, cool, thanks. Give me a crafting check. I'm scared.
[1:55:37] Sure. Final sacrifice. I'm extending an olive branch to the madness that surrounds me. How does Baldrick turn him real? Well, we'll find out what the crafting check tells us first. He is a level 14 alchemist. He can almost do anything that he wants.
[1:55:58] Especially with a 19 on the die for 44. Holy shit! Jeez, dude. Yeah, alright, Geppetto. You get to work.
[1:56:10] Baldrick is going to... May I flavor this, Thurston? Please, please help me, yes. I take Baldrick. Excuse me, not me. Erndal is not here. Baldrick reaches over and grabs Globetalk, and he goes to the Bomb Bay area and slams the door of the bulkhead shut. And he is going to turn him into a real boy now. You guys think that's a good sign? I don't know. I don't know.
[1:56:41] Globetalk. I concur, Tannhauser. I know exactly what you said. I know everything. You can't fucking speak the language. This is going to be like some fucking Rick and Morty shit. We're going to fast forward a little bit forward. He's going to come out. He's going to be a real fucking boy. Then he's going to be like, I need to go find myself in the real world because I'm still the size of a small infant child.
[1:57:07] But I have this brain that allows me to do things. So I'm going to leave with my briefcase and we will meet again in the future. Thurston, if I may.
[1:57:18] Baldrick enters the bomb bay and seals the bulkhead. The character creation screen comes up for you. Please create your character.
[1:57:31] We should trust Erndil on this. I agree. I trust him implicitly.
[1:57:40] Pathbuilder2e.com Well, pop it to our thing. It's true. True, true, true. I will sculpt him into I will sculpt Globetalk into any shape that Globetalk wishes to be. Globetalk is entering the character creator and will leave through that door something else. And that's fine. And no matter what he picks, Baldrick is going to go, Great, I'm sure you'll fit right in.
[1:58:09] Well, whatever you are, I'm sure it's perfectly fine to fight rats and goblins.
[1:58:19] And then I send him to the sewers to make it out. With the Amulet of Kings. Take it to Joel. Thereof, friend or foe. I bring in my good friend Patrick Stewart to tell Globetalk that you can go on your journey. I want to point out to fucking everyone listening here. I just want to point out to where we started, which was maybe we could use Globetalk to be a component of the teleport spell to, we have now made the new character and a new campaign awaits as Globetalk begins his sewers and travels.
[1:58:59] We've sent the boy on his way. You know damn well there was only one way out of this situation and I'm helping you out of it. All right. Whose backup character is going to be player character Globetalk? I'm putting my vote on Brass Buttons of Winter. Whisperwood. I also realize humorously that once Baldrick finishes whatever the fuck is happening behind those closed doors to create a new being that will be the artist formerly known as Globetalk, Tannhauser will be the single practitioner of the Globetalk language left untied after this point.
[1:59:41] Because now he speaks common. I'm gonna keep it alive. He has to keep the culture alive. He has to keep alive the dead language. I'm gonna be like a Navajo Code Talker. I'm gonna be a Globetalk Code Talker. No one's gonna be able to understand and we're gonna be able to have the best cipher ever. And they're gonna say what are they saying? It just says Globetalk over and over and over again.
[2:00:08] But only myself and my trained cadre of Globetalk Code Talkers. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. There's a fucking comment from chat that is fucking killing me. Globetalk's gonna show up later like the wolf from Resident Evil 4. That is like the deepest fucking cut. He's gonna show up and knock over a gigante for one part of the fight and then leave. And then leave and you will not.
[2:00:34] Thurston, your homework for the rest of today is I want you to create a new character. It could be anything you want. Whatever Globetalk wants to become, that's your homework for the next session. Crosses my arms, leaps out of a flying plane. Okay. Welcome to the campaign, Thurston. You've been assigned homework, I guess.
[2:01:00] Globetalk's sad. Does this happen? Well, I guess that'll be a next episode thing cause you gotta make a new character now or you can give it to Veggie and I'll give Veggie the plane. That's fine. Oh my god that'd be so fucking funny. Tell Veggie you need to create a new character because an alchemical homunculus was given the ability to create to become a real being. And now you have to tell me what this is going to be.
[2:01:29] Speaker, there's one thing I will do before we go and end today's session because my god, roll me a percentile dice. Yeah, you got it, boss.
[2:01:44] That's just a D100, right? D100, yep.
[2:01:50] That's gonna be a 39. And when you eventually will teleport your companions to the city of Outset we will find out what happens next time. Yippee! Yippee!
[2:02:05] Are you guys proud of us? Are you proud of us for everything we managed to accomplish today? Like, uh...
[2:02:12] Globetalk. Um... Like we accomplished, uh... Never has so much been accomplished. We went forward. We...
[2:02:24] We got off... No, we didn't even get off the fuckin' airship. Hang on. We didn't even get off. Someone messaged me and said we're going to cut to the next episode and Globetalk is going to walk out of the bulkhead as an anime girl.
[2:02:40] Hotrum and Ariel! No! Oh no, you've got work. Congratulations. No!
