Hi, it's Dana and I'm here with your divination
for the full moon in sidereal Aries. The 2025
Sidereal Astrology Guide says, clearly seeing
the power of emotional autonomy.
So this is a lunation in a podcast episode that
I have been looking forward to recording because
this full moon marks one of like my favorite
moments in being an astrologer who keeps track
of the times and seasons, right? By observing
the movements of the patterns, Lord help me.
By observing the movement and the patterns of
the movements of the planets. So one of the
soap boxes that I'm always on is that the Gregorian
calendar is not real. Like clock time is not
even real. Like I'm recording this Sunday, November
2nd, and here in America, the clocks just
move back. And personally, I think this is
a form of psychological warfare because...
the research and data is very clear that accidents
increase, right? Like health issues increase
around the time changes because it is really
disruptive. And I think that the season of
astrology that we're moving into is really
relevant to this idea of what is the reference
point for which you determine how you're going
to move throughout the world. Right, like clock
time is this consensus. The Gregorian calendar
is really a consensus that we're agreeing
to observe time in this way. We're agreeing
to measure time in this particular way. It's
literally a contract. The Gregorian calendar
is a contract. The clock time, standardized
clock time, is a contract. And it's an implicit
contract that's saying we're agreeing to segment
time and to organize time in this way and
we agree to observe it in this way, right?
I woke up this morning and I was like, I don't
care what clock time says, it's 6.15 to my
body, right? But this question of what does
our body feel, right, when it comes to time?
Your body feels like it's still on the other,
It feels like it's still an hour ahead of
where we are now. Like, I know the clock is
gonna say that it is 730, and my body is gonna
feel like it's 830. And this may seem like
a really small thing, but I think it's indicative
of how capitalism, white supremacy, and patriarchy
coerce us to be in relationship with our bodies.
I'm going to look at that clock at 730 and I
have a choice. My body is going to feel like
it's 830, which means my body is going to feel
like it's ready for me to start my bedtime
routine. And I have a choice to make in that
moment. Am I going to respond to my body and
give my body what it's asking for, which is
to brush and floss my teeth, turn down the
lights, right? take my supplements, drink some
water and get in the bed, right? Is that what
I'm gonna listen to or am I gonna look at the
clock and say, oh, it's only 7.30, so I still
have more time, right? But in making that choice,
right, you're literally deciding whether you
are going to participate in capitalism time
or not. Because... The collective measurement
of time is saying that it's 730, even though
your body is saying it's 830, right? This full
moon, looking at the 2025 sidereal astrology
guide says, clearly seeing the power of emotional
autonomy. So going back to what I started with
when I em opened up this podcast episode, I
talked about how this represents one of the
really fascinating parts of being an astrologer
for me. That like when we're looking at the
Gregorian calendar and we're looking at clock
time, like, It's really arbitrary, actually.
Why is it November? What does November mean?
It's November 2nd, why? Like, what is that?
Right? But astrologically, I can say, today
um the moon is waxing and it will soon be full.
And this full moon, I've calculated to be
in the sign of sidereal Aries. And Aries means
something. And so what I'm saying, this full
moon means what this time means, because November
means nothing, okay? November means nothing,
unless we are calculating and segmenting time,
right, in terms of the capitalist market. And
then who gets to decide what time it is? Like
these questions be sounding really like deep,
but they are deep. Like who gets to decide what
time it is? Right? um There was this post that
went viral on TikTok a couple months back. And
this person was reading and quoting from this
book by John M. Beatty, which was on like,
African philosophy and religion. And like he
opens up the book talking about African basically
diasporic conceptions of time and how there
really is no future. There is the present, things
that will happen imminently, and then the past,
which the past is named and measured. um in
multiple ways, right? But this culture does
not measure time that way. This culture, the
culture of white supremacy, the culture of
patriarchy, the culture of capitalism, is future
obsessed. And the problem with being future
obsessed is that your body is past obsessed.
And maybe obsessed is not the right word, but
your body is regulated to the past. Does that
make sense? Do you get what I'm saying? That
your body is a witness of the past and it tells
the story of your past, but we live in a culture
that is future obsessed. I'm watching for the
first time, the morning show and I just started
the second season. And the second season takes
place in 2020. And spoiler alert, if you...
haven't watched it and you want to watch it,
you might want to fast forward through this
part. in like the second episode maybe of the
first season, one of the journalists, there's
a scene where this journalist goes to Wuhan
because he thinks it's important to go to
China and see what's going on because it's the
news. And there's this scene where Wuhan is
about to lock down and people are frantically
trying to escape Wuhan. frantically trying
to get out of China and go home, right? Now
I remember this because I watched Time for
a Living that that was literally like January
23rd, 2020. Right? And in watching this,
my body viscerally reacted and remembered
the terror and the fear that I felt. that we
collectively felt in that moment, a lot of
people died all at once in really awful
ways, alone, suffocating to death. They could
not go to the hospital and receive care because
there was nowhere in the hospital for them to
be. So I'm watching this scene and like, people
aren't dying as much from COVID anymore, right?
You know, we've got Paxlovid, we know masks
prevent the spread of respiratory illness. We
have multiple options for vaccines. We have
antiretrovirals, you know, that are being used
in some places to treat COVID. So we're not
there anymore, but my body, like I got transported
back. How many times on a day-to-day basis
do you think that you're getting transported
back to some emotional space, to some experience,
because something in your present is triggering
you? Something that you're witnessing, something
that you're experiencing is triggering your
mind, it's triggering your emotions, it's triggering
your nervous system. How often do you think
that you're transported back to something.
I actually think it's incredibly hard for humans
to be present, particularly when the way that
the past inhabits and lives in your body is
existing without a witness.
Gabor Mate, in his book, Myth of Normal, talks
about how the trauma and the wounding is actually
not in the even.
The trauma was not that COVID existed. The trauma
wasn't even that a lot of people died. The
trauma is the ongoing collective forgetting
and refusal to witness and remember.
Yes, some things are incredibly devastating
to experience. but they take up like squatters
in our body because of the way that the environment
responds to us. And this is really getting
to the core of this season of astrology that
we are entering at this full moon. This full
moon is in sidereal Aries, but Aries is ruled
by Mars, which is currently in sidereal Scorpio.
the next lunation we will have will be a new
moon in Sidereal Scorpio ruled by Mars in
Sidereal Scorpio. The full moon we will have
after that will be a full moon in Sidereal
Taurus, but ruled by Venus in Scorpio. So for
all intents and purposes, we can say that we
are in this extended period where Scorpio is
dominating. Understand that in divination for
liberation, sidereal astrology signs are experiences.
When you have a sign occupied in your birth
chart, that is telling me that that is the pattern
of experience that defines your life. If you
have sidereal Scorpio, the pattern of experience
that defines your life is emotional alienation.
Emotional alienation means to be left alone
to deal with your feelings.
It means to have the space. to feel your
body and your experience and your emotions
as separate from other people, which is a positive
and necessary thing because the opposite is
enmeshment or codependence, right? But it also
means if you have Scorpio, you are... hypervigilant
and sensitive to the way that being in a
human body is inherently alienating because
nobody can get inside your body and feel with
you. Now, some people are empathetic. Some
people have psychic gifts. Some people make
the attempt to feel you, but the inherent experience
of being in separate human bodies is that of
alienation. Right? So the experience of Scorpio
is often to have these feelings that are in
response to your environment and what's happening
to you. And no one is coming to be with you
and your feelings. What Scorpio really needed
was for someone to notice what they were feeling,
to notice it without judgment, and to try to
help them make sense of it. But often what happens
to sidereal Scorpio is they have really natural
and normal feelings of being human. They'll
be sad, they'll be angry, they'll grieve. And
rather than getting that empathy and that sense
of... being sharing, right, sharing that emotional
experience. They're treated like their normal
feelings are hurting and harming other people.
But when we're talking about divination for
liberation, for me that means there's a liberatory
potential to every sign. There is a liberatory
opportunity in every season as we move through
time that is associated with each sign. So the
liberatory potential of this moment, and I
want you to hear me real good here. The liberatory
potential of this moment, which is this full
moon, and the astrology that's gonna carry us
through the early part of um December. is
don't be afraid of the power of your emotions.
I saw something and someone was like, yeah,
when I'm having certain feelings, I just go
be by myself because I don't want to hurt people
with my feelings. I don't want to upset people
with my feelings.
Sometimes you gotta hurt people with your feelings.
You know who doesn't care if they hurt people
with their feelings, babies? Now I'm not out
here advocating for everybody to be childish
without, you know, good sense. But if you are
a person who was deprived of the opportunity
to actually do the things that babies do when
you are an actual baby, if you were deprived
of the ability to take up emotional space and
to grieve, and to move those around you into
grief with you. If you were deprived of the
opportunity to celebrate and rather than your
celebration being responded to with a drunken,
abusive tirade, your celebration was responded
to with joy and the desire to share in your
celebration with you. Because see, that's the
other side of water signs and sidereal Scorpio,
that your environment becomes emotionally
reactive to you. You think that you're just
trying to have a happy time because look at
this great thing that happened for you and how
dare you be happy when your father is angry
because he lost his job. Shut up. How dare
you be happy when your mother is depressed?
No one's allowed to be happy here. So if you
decide to be happy now, you're alienated because
nobody's going to join you with that. I talked
about this probably earlier this year. at like
the full moon in Scorpio or something like that,
that care looks like somebody joining you in
your emotional experience. love and care and
nurturance looks like. I come home, I'm happy.
and my caregiver can get out of their feelings
for like five minutes and be with me in my
joy. rather than abandoning me, making me to
feel as if my joy is wrong and to set me up
for the expectation.
that no one is going to respect my feelings
and no one is going to honor and validate my
feelings, that your feelings are something for
you to deal with by yourself. The liberatory
potential of this moment, clearly seeing the
power of emotional autonomy is saying that
when we live in a society, when we are in families,
When we are in relationships, communities,
that we are constantly feeling together, we
decide what we're happy about. We decide what
we're celebrating. We decide what we're grieving.
We've decided we're not grieving COVID. We've
decided that we don't feel nothing about COVID.
It wasn't that big of a deal. Yeah, people
died. Yeah, people suffocated. to death. Yeah,
people weren't able to get the care that they
needed for other health issues. Yeah, yeah,
yeah, yeah, everybody was stuck in their house
for a few days. Yeah, people were scared, so
what? We collectively have decided that...
It is inappropriate to feel grief about what
happened in 2020, 2021, 2022 and so on. And
that if you feel grief about that, you are alone
in that. The most terrifying thing to be as
a human is alone.
And I don't just mean physically alone, I mean
emotionally alone.
People are willing to abandon themselves emotionally
because it's so terrifying to be emotionally
alone. And what I mean by abandoning yourself
emotionally, I mean that when you are sharing
space with other humans in conversation or physically,
that they get to decide the emotional tone.
If they're happy, then it doesn't matter if
you're grieving. You can deal with that another
time you're gonna be happy. And sometimes that's
the thing to do because that's care and that's
love. And you don't want your friend, your
family, your loved one to feel alone in their
feelings. But when it comes to group dynamics,
when it comes to societal level, national level
dynamics, then we have a real problem.
Right, we have a real problem because... As
a collective, we're deciding what the threat
is. Collective, we're deciding. Collectively,
we're deciding what to grieve. Collectively,
we're deciding what to celebrate. Collectively,
we're deciding what to disregard and what
to forget. Collectively, we're deciding who
to feel empathy for. Collectively, we're deciding...
who to be angry at and to perceive as our enemy.
Those are all emotions that we feel together.
But clearly seeing the power of emotional autonomy
is really about the fact that revolution begins
in the body. Revolution begins in the body
because it's literally saying, actually, I
don't like that. That doesn't feel good to me.
There are certain things that we have accepted
as normal. We've accepted as normal that life
is hard and you should expect to suffer and
you should be prepared for suffering. And if
you are not prepared for inevitable suffering,
then you're a bad adult and you're a bad person.
You should be prepared to not have access to
food. You should be prepared to not have access
to healthcare. You should be prepared for
the government to shut down. You should be prepared
for a $2,400 a month health insurance bill.
It seems so like, well, yes, that's capitalism.
That's just the way that things are. No, that's
not just the way that things are. You're allowed
to feel that that's messed up. You're allowed
to feel scared and terrified. Where is the
collecti- expression of terror in this moment.
Where is the collective expression of rage?
It's lacking so much that you feel crazy for
being angry and rageful. Where is this space
for you to express your discontent? You know
you're not the only one feeling discontent
and rage and fear and terror and anger. You
get plenty of opportunities to celebrate. The
Dodgers won the World Series, they'll celebrate.
Christmas is coming, yes, some people will celebrate.
And you'll probably celebrate by buying a bunch
of stuff you don't need with money that you
don't really have.
Where are the collective shared moments to
embody and express our terror? And this is
the thing about emotional autonomy. Emotional
autonomy means you gotta be all right feeling
for yourself and by yourself. To feel for yourself
means... That you can't look left and you
can't look right to see how people are responding
to something that's happening to you. You don't
look left and right and up and down to see how
other people are responding to the thing that
you are witnessing with your own eyes. You
close your eyes and you close your ears to
the external and you feel on the inside for
yourself. How does it feel to you to be experiencing
what's happening to you? How does it feel to
you to be witnessing what you're witnessing?
Not how does it look to other people? Not how
do other people feel about it? This is about
looking inward, feeling inward. Emotional autonomy
means that your cues or how to respond and
feel like coming from your own body. This thing
about how does something look to other people
is so important. Because we live in a society
that's literally obsessed with how things look
to other people. How will it look to other people
if I really cry?
and express the grief that I really feel. How
will it look to other people if I crash out?
It responds to how I really feel. Emotional
autonomy says it doesn't matter how it looks
because emotional autonomy is survival. When
I say revolution begins in the Bible, I'm talking
in the Bible.
That was a pretty inslep- Bye! Revolution begins
in the body. means that if you are looking
for where and when the change begin, it begins
with seeing the power of emotional autonomy.
It begins with feeling for yourself and by yourself
as a expression and embodiment of being ungovernable.
Because Being ungovernable is also refusing
to be tamed, refusing to be civilized, refusing
to be docile, refusing to say it in a tone that
they'll like and respect.
refusing to address it. in a way that follows
protocol and historical precedent. Becoming
ungovernable is like, yeah, breaking laws,
great. But becoming ungovernable is also not
being emotionally tamed. You know how they
tame wild animals, right? They put them in
cages. They domesticate them. To be emotionally
un... governable is to not be emotionally domesticated.
Babies are not emotionally domesticated. And
I keep bringing up babies because Jupiter is
in sidereal cancer right now. It'll be stationing
retrograde on November 11th in the 2025 Sidereal
Astrology Guide. says understanding the emotional
influence, right?
Yeah, we want to move people to action. Sometimes,
like, come on, man, when you hear a baby cry,
like, you want somebody to do something. You
want somebody to make that baby shut up because
a baby's cry evolved to irritate the F out of
you. Right? The baby, the cry of a baby is
evolved to make the nervous systems of every
adult. and capable human around them stand
on edge, right? Somebody get up and do something.
Where is our collective baby cry? Where is
our collective distress signal? Where is our
collective expression of discontent and emotional
and physical distress that sends the nervous
system of this country, of this society on
edge to the point that it doesn't have any
option but to respond. Maybe that looks like
the, I think it's called the big beautiful boycott.
Have y'all heard of this? I believe it's the
25th of November to like December 4th or something
like that. Right? Maybe that's our collective
tantrum.
Clearly seeing the power of emotional autonomy,
this is coming after the new moon in Libra,
was planting, just strategically planting seeds
for a new consensus. which is just to say the
implicit and explicit contracts, acts and agreements
we've been operating under no longer are how
we're gonna be moving. I think one of the unintended
consequences of the Trump administration is
he is making plain and explicit previously
concealed aspects of our society. like the
whole thing with this health insurance, now
we all gotta look a little bit closer. Right?
We weren't looking that close before. We were
just like, woo, it's affordable, now I could
pay. Or it's not affordable, damn, I don't have
none. Not to say that there aren't people who
have been invested in unpacking the structures
of oppression, right? But collectively, we're
in this moment, like, yeah, why is health insurance
so expensive? Now there's a lot of people who
lived before the Affordable Care Act became
law and so they know how difficult it was,
right? But we collectively forget a lot of
stuff. And the real thing is that health insurance
technically did not become more affordable in
the sense that insurance companies actually
aren't making less money. Because the problem
right now is really that the government has
said they will no longer pay the insurance
companies what they are charging for health
insurance to help it be more affordable to
consumers. So what's really happening is that
the health insurance companies are not getting
the money that they're used to getting. And
this is where I feel like this administration
be real short-sighted.
Because the real option here, we only got three
options here. One.
The Trump administration goes through and the
Democrats agree they go through with ending
the tax subsidies and now nobody can afford
insurance. So now not only are people not having
insurance, but the insurance companies are no
longer getting the revenue from the United
States government that was making it affordable
for consumers to pay something.
Right? So in that scenario, people don't have
health insurance because they can't afford
it. And the insurance companies aren't making
money. Their revenue decreases dramatically.
Right? You think they're going let that go down?
The second option is that the Republicans
concede and business goes on as usual. Third
option is that. um
Democrats concede and say, fine, we can reopen
the government. And then somehow Republicans
act like they're gonna save the day and do exactly
what we've been doing all along with insurance
companies having their, like that's, we really
need to call it what it is. The tax subsidies
are not for consumers. Insurance companies are
having their really expensive, health insurance
premiums subsidized by the government. Literally,
they're like, hey, insurance companies, you
can continue to charge what you've been charging
all along. You don't have to change anything.
You can continue to make money. And as a matter
of fact, you're going to make more money because
now more people are going to have insurance.
So now you keep your rates really high, keep
your premiums really high, create these really
boo boo plans for people where they still have
to play these high deductibles, but don't worry,
the government will pay you.
So the real issue is that the health insurance
companies are charging too much money. And
I really feel some kind of way that people
aren't talking about it this way. That it's
not being framed this way. That the issue is
that not insurance is not inherently expensive.
It's not inherently unaffordable. It is a choice
to charge that much money for insurance. Most
of us know that the price that insurance companies
are charged is different than the price you
will be charged if you paid out of pocket. sometimes
by thousands and thousands of dollars. Where
is our collective discontent? Emotional autonomy
and revolution beginning in the body really
means that it takes one person, or maybe in
this society, one group of people, identity-wise,
to reject the emotional consensus and to respond
authentically to how their present experiences
are making them feel and not performing an emotion
that we have collectively deemed to be socially
acceptable, right, a socially acceptable response
to what's happening, right? Because like,
what is the actual response that my ancestors
had to being enslaved? Like what was the actual
emotional response that my ancestors had to
and oversee are ready to crack that whip at
any moment. What was my ancestors' response
to being sexually assaulted at any moment?
without any previous, like just suddenly. the
real emotional response to that is terror,
fear, but it's also rage and revolution, which
is why as soon as slavery became a thing,
so did slave rebellions. Right, this idea that
slaves were happy to be enslaved. Like, yeah,
it was some coons. Don't let this society trick
you into believing that everybody else is
okay with the terror and oppression that you're
feeling. That everybody else is feeling the
same terror and oppression. It's just you're
the only one that has a problem with it. You're
not. But really, the only way to know that you're
not the only one who has a problem with it
is to speak up and say something. and to really
feel out loud what you're feeling. That's why
social media has been so powerful and why there's
this concerted effort to fill it up with AI
slop because social media has been almost like
a... like uh a psychic web of emotions in
the sense that like. The power of social media
and the internet, especially in the past, well,
I mean, we could go back to 2011, right? The
power has been that I can be having an experience
that terrifies me and makes me sad. And I go
online and I share my experience and I thought
I was the only one. I thought I was the only
one suffering. but I learned that there's other
people suffering. And this is where like this
grand water trine gets real cute to me. Because
once I embody my emotional autonomy, Scorpio,
and I throw my tantrum, and I express my distress,
cancer, now I can see the pattern. That's what
Saturn and Pisces is all about. It's about
seeing the pattern. That, hey, if you have this
experience, And this other person has the experience.
And now look at all of these videos of these
people saying that they've had this experience.
Now we know this is not just an individual thing,
it's a pattern, it's a statement about the
system. It's a statement, right? Saturn and
Sidereal Pisces connecting the dots that shape
reality. These individual instances of distress,
of terror, of rage are not just one-off things.
It's revealing a pattern. that is telling us
about the reality of the world that we live
in.
Let's pause there and I'm gonna pull some cards.
Or I shuffle and pull some cards. I just want
to take a minute to talk about something very
important that I think you'll love. So every
episode of the Divination for Liberation podcast,
I open it up and I say, you know, em hi, I'm
Dana, I'm here with your divination for the
blah, blah, blah, new moon, full moon. And
then I'll say the 2025 Sidereal Astrology Guide
says, why am I saying that? Because for nine
years now, I have published what is essentially
a personal horoscope workbook. This is the
2025 Sidereal Astrology Guide, and this is the
2026 Sidereal Astrology Guide. This is your
personal horoscope workbook that walks you through
the personal application of one year of astrology.
So for example, in the 2025 Sidereal Astrology
Guide, I wrote for this full moon, uh clearly
seeing the power of emotional autonomy. I come
on here on the podcast and I talk about what
that means for us collectively. But in the 2025
Sidereal Astrology Guide, you can fill in that
blank with the meanings that are relevant to
your life. And I show you how to do that. So
2026 is right around the corner and I've changed
the format a little bit. It's this cute little
planner, calendar here. It's so much cool stuff
in here, including interpretations of each
of the 12 signs and divination for liberation,
sidereal astrology. house meanings, planets,
and an interpretation for it, for all of the
planetary sign changes, retrogrades, new moon,
full moon, and eclipses, and concise instructions
on how to use this so that you are getting
the personal interpretation for you. um You
can go read horoscopes, and those are great.
You can continue to listen to the podcast, and
I love that for us. But this right here is
going to give you that personal application.
For example, This full moon is in my fifth
house. And so I would go through this guide
and find those fifth house meanings. And I
know it's my fifth house because there's a table
that shows you what each house is for you in
your birth chart. But I would go and get those
fifth house meanings. So I'm clearly seeing
the power of emotional autonomy as it pertains
to my child, as it pertains to my gender and
sexual identity, as it pertains to love and
art and music and creativity. Those are all
examples of some of the things that are associated
with the fifth house. You can also fill in
those blanks with things that feel personal
and relevant to you in this moment. But all
of that to say, you can download the 2026 Sidereal
Astrology Guide. I'll drop the link in the
descriptions, or you can go to shop.thepeoplesoracle.com.
There you can download a PDF that you can print,
or if you would like a printed version of this
guide, You need to go to shop.thepeoplesoracle.com
or click the link in the description and reorder
your copy. I'm doing a second printing of these
and you'll have to do that by Friday, November
7th. So you have through Friday, November
7th to order your copy of the 2026 Sidereal
Astrology Guide, which is your personal horoscope
workbook, walking you through the personal application
of one year of astrology, no previous knowledge.
required. If you don't know nothing about astrology,
you don't need to know nothing about astrology
because I know everything about astrology and
I've written it in this format so that you
can understand and use too.
We've got the justice card on the bottom. Justice
card is really, really comes up in times
where we are being asked to question our motives
and what's influencing our decision-making.
Justice says it's time to make a decision. And
when you make this decision, this is not a
decision that you bring all of these extraneous
factors into. Justice Card is saying you need
to get down to the nitty gritty and get down
to the most important and relevant factors
and use that as the motivation for how you're
gonna make this decision. A lot of times we
tell ourselves stories that are rooted in past
precedent and that is informing how and why
we make this decision. We think things should
work out a certain way. And the Justice card
is saying, hey, chill all of that out, right?
The Justice card is saying, tear down to the
most essential and relevant facts to this situation
and use that to make your decision. I think
this is really interesting because the sun is
in Sidereal Libra at the full moon in Aries.
And we all know that the scales of justice
is the symbol that represents Libra. And so
there is a continuum and a connection from the
new moon where we were strategically planting
seeds for a new consensus, right? A new contract,
a new agreement, a new decision. And now we
are clearly seeing the power of emotional autonomy.
Those things are kind of at odds with us because
the consensus is about what we agree together.
How are we going to move forward together?
What is the agreement or the contract or the
terms of engagement that are going to determine
how we move forward. Emotional autonomy and
the power of emotional autonomy is saying,
need to make sure that my own interests are
addressed here, that I can't be so lost in
the group and lost in the collective that I
lose what's in my own best interests. So I
think the Justice card is sowing this kind
of energy together of the fact that there needs
to be a decision. If we want to bring this down
more to the personal, I think the Justice Card
comes up in times where actually we are being
more reactive than necessary. And when we are
too reactive, we're not thinking about how something
fits into a longer term strategy, into a longer
term goal, right? The Justice Card, I think,
um comes up in personal situations where it's
like, hey, you're probably making too much of
this and you're missing the essential and most
important factors. Which when we're talking
about cardinal signs, right, which Aries and
Libra are, full moon in Aries means the sun
is in Libra, we are talking about control.
We are talking about regulation. Where Libra
says, um you know, ah How do I get you to respond
to me the way that I want you to? This is an
example that I've given to clients recently
who've had sidereal Libra placements over the
past week. I said, when Libra comes to a closed
door, Libra looks over at the security guard
who they already know because they have made
an acquaintance with the security guard and
charmed them, right? They've been having conversations
with the security guard for months. And so when
they get to the closed door, they... to the
security guard, how your mama doing? How your
daughter doing? Your dog okay? You get that
thing fixed at your house, right? Because they've
made the connection. And so now when Libra
needs the door open, they can rely on that connection.
And now the security guard is gonna go open
up the door because the security guard has the
key. Libra's always reminding us that sometimes
what's between us and the thing that we want
to do is another person. Now this full moon
is in Aries though. So when Aries gets to that
lock door, sometimes Aries is so pissed off,
they'll try to throw a bit brick, they're gonna
use force. Aries always feels like the door
is locked because they didn't open it, right?
Aries feels like if there's an obstacle in
my way, it is because I have not overcome it,
right? If the door is locked, it's because
I'm not strong enough to open it, so let me
do some pushups, right? This door won't be
in my way, I'll bum rush my way through it.
you can see that some of those approaches are,
each approach is appropriate for a specific
issue. So this Justice Card is saying, think,
what is the nuance of which approach is appropriate
for where we are now? Sometimes it's appropriate
to charm the security guard because you know
he has the key and to get him to open the door
for you. And I think that that is, you know,
em Generally, I think how the way things work
in this society, that it's much more Venus,
it's much more who you know than it is what
you can do, right? But Aries, where this full
moon is, the other option is to realize that
you're unhappy and you don't like the way that
things are because you haven't tried hard enough.
Justice is saying which approach is the right
one. It's not giving us the answer, it's just
saying these are the options before us. We've
got the three of cups.
And we've got the wheel.
Right? So I think three of cups and the wheel,
I think, let's start with the wheel because
I think the wheel speaks to things that are
cyclical, cyclical, however you say that, right?
Things that happen in cycles. And so it's a
normal cycle, I think, to oscillate from using
your charm and your connections and your capacity
to disarm people and make people like you
and get people to do things that you want them
to do. And then there are times where you need
to get down on the floor and do some push-ups
because nobody's coming to open that door for
you and you need to open it yourself, right?
So I think that because both signs and energies
are present, I would really understand this
three cups as saying, hey, you may not be able
to, you know, bum rush your way through that
door yourself, but if everybody... creates
a chain and we run into the door together is
definitely coming down. Right? So there's
this combination of emotional autonomy as the
thing that actually influences other people
to change the way that they feel about something.
It seems counterintuitive. We think that we
need to get on the same page with everybody
else first, and then they'll do what the right
thing is to do. that we all need to get into
agreement first, right? But sometimes you just
gotta start running out. As a black person,
what I know is if I see another person running
down the street, a black person, I'm not about
to ask them where they're going and why they're
running. I'm about to start running too. That's
the power of emotional autonomy, right? Now
it becomes much more difficult. to honor that
when somebody is standing in the middle of
the street screaming, right? Now you got, why
are you screaming? I don't know, that's kind
of embarrassing. Look, everybody's looking at
you, right? But when we saw somebody screaming
in the street, we just got down to it and got
with it and started screaming too, right?
Now, what is that an analogy for? in our lives
right now? What is that an analogy for in your
life right now? What is that an analogy for
collectively, right? Where the infectiousness
of emotional autonomy really means that when
I spontaneously and authentically respond
to my own distress signals, it has the effect
of making other people aware of their own distress
signals. Because we have all been conditioned
to ignore our distress signals unless other
people are feeling the same distress signal
as we're feeling. Did y'all catch that? We've
all been conditioned to ignore our own pain
unless it has been socially determined that
it's okay for you to feel that pain. This is
why moments like the George Floyd rebellion
were so important because black people had been
saying for decades and years and over and
over, Trayvon Martin and Mike Brown and Sandra
Bland um and the brother in California, please
forgive me for not remembering his name and
so on and so on. And we've been crying Black
Lives Matter and we've been crying, we're afraid
for our lives. We've been crying, stop killing
us. And then all of a sudden in 2020, everybody
was like, yes, people that's everybody stopped
doing that. People all over the world were literally
like, yes, stop killing black people. And it
was literally in that moment, George Floyd
crying for his life, calling for his mother.
That was a spontaneous, emotionally authentic
expression. of his innate drive to save his
own life that had the influence and impact,
right, for us to all join in. Now, of course,
there was a special moment in 2020 with COVID
and the fact that we are all at home and
we could silence the routine concealment.
and the routine disregard of our own distress,
right? In a lot of ways, George Floyd gave us
permission to grieve all that we were experiencing
in that moment, the deaths from COVID and the
fear of this unknown pathogen that we didn't
know where it was gonna come from and if we
were going to fall because of it, right?
Take that as inspiration and a way to understand
the power of emotional autonomy, because guess
what? That was an eclipse in Scorpio, my friend.
The same sign that we are in a season of focusing
on until December. That was Scorpio, right?
The power of emotional autonomy is that if
you can take the risk, and grieve out loud,
even if it feels like nobody will understand
where you're coming from, if you can take the
risk and wail at the discontent and distress
that capitalism is oppressing you with, if you
could take that moment and resist conforming
to the emotional norms that says your suffering
at the hand of billionaires is normal and
you're the only one who feels a problem with
it, so you should just accept it. That's why
revolution begins in the body, because it's
inherently infectious, right? It is inherently
something that moves other people. And the
question only is, will you be moved by the
suffering and distress of your neighbor who's
crying out in pain in this moment? Will you
be moved by the distress, the spontaneous, authentic
expression of anger, of fear for survival?
a fear for separation from their family, will
you allow yourself to be affected by it? Or
will you conceal the grief because you look
around and you don't see anybody else caring?
Why do you need permission to empathize? Why
do you need permission to feel with the suffering,
to feel with the oppressed? I know why, because
if you start feeling with the oppressed now,
you got to deal with your own oppression. You
got to deal with your own grief. You got to
deal with your own, whatever comes up with
you. And that's scary because when you really
feel what you really feeling, that stuff will
rearrange your whole life. You'll wake up and
not be married. You'll wake up and have quit
your job without a backup. You'll wake up and
have moved across the country, far away from
everyone and everything who has ever been familiar
to you. You will wake up and you won't be in
the same reality as everybody else. It's terrifying.
But if the dire circumstances of this moment
are not motivation enough to risk it all,
what is? What further terror must befall us
before we reject the social contract that we
are the only ones upholding? What further oppression
must harm us? before we wail and grieve with
the discontent that makes folks uncomfortable.
How much longer? What more are you looking
for? What worse? Everybody's saying, ooh, pay
attention, don't miss this, he's tearing up
the White House, ooh, he's gonna go send troops
to Nigeria, ooh, he's kill... Your head gonna
be on a swivel trying to pay attention to everything.
Look at your own life. Groceries are too expensive.
Is your suffering not enough to pay attention
to and care about? This is not to say that
we shouldn't care about what's going on in the
world with other people, but with this justice
card, I'm trying to find that balance, right?
That balance of like, hey, when you look at
the suffering of the folks in Venezuela, that
is meant to make you aware. that the suffering
of the folks in Venezuela, the ships that are
being bombed, the resources that are being
stolen, the entity that is doing that is not
different from the entity that has shut down
the government. It is not different from the
entities that are making groceries too expensive
to afford. It is not different from the entity
that is using your healthcare. dangling it
in front of your face, threatening to take it
away. It's not different from the entity that
refuses to pay out SNAP benefits. It's not different
from the entity that said no child left behind.
The entity that is threatening to send troops
to Nigeria is not different from the entity
that would rather imprison homeless people than
give them someplace to live here in America.
You got to connect those dots back to your own
suffering as a motivation. to act on your own
behalf, because that's what's going to save
the people in Nigeria too. And that's that
on that. Woo! Where's my Ric Flair meme when
I need it? Thank you all for listening to another
episode of the Divination for Liberation podcast.
I am your host, Dana Lynn Knuckles. I will
see you in about two weeks at the next lunation,
which will be a new moon in Sidereal Scorpio.
In the meantime, in between time, your COVID
update is that we are in a relative lull, probably
for most of the month of November, though if
you did not get em a peak of cases, you know,
August, September, early October, then you're
probably going to see a wave start mid-November
for you. I'll be continuing to post resources
that I find and uh pay attention to on my Instagram
page at People's Oracle if you would like to
be mindful of your COVID risk at any given
point. There are a lot of colds going around
right now and flu, so there's always a reason
to mask up. I'm gonna keep masking up. uh in
most indoor places, grocery stores, et cetera,
where ventilation is questionable. And I hope
that you are too. I will see you soon. Take
care. Bye.
