[00:00:00] Hey, and welcome back. It is our final episode of the Fallout 2D20 system. Whoa. Um, if you haven't watched the other three episodes, you should probably do that 'cause this is the final one. That'd be a little weird. Uh, we'll recap, if not. I guess you could just, like, fly by the seat of your pants. Uh, but if you are new here, hey, I'm Val.

Yeah, he/they. Hi, my name is N, uh, they/them, and I'm playing Decker the Used. My name is Ryan, he/him, um, and I am playing Travis II, the coolest bot this side of the Mason-Dixon. This. Hi, I'm Rachel, she/her, and I'm playing Charlie Foxtrot. Uh, he/him. And he's not cool at all- What? ... but he's got a cool hat usually.
Usually, not today. He's cool to me. I mean, he's like a theater kid, I guess, but- He's, he is a the- he's a theater-kid cool. He's a, he's a- Travis thinks- All right, he's all right. He's all right ... Travis thinks Charlie is the second coolest person... Well, I guess third if including himself in the party. As cool as a dad can be.
Um, you know, I didn't demand anyone do the recap, so I guess that's on me. Ooh. Here we are. Um, so when last we left off, our group had entered Millennium Park, where they had a guided tour by the lovely Peggy. [00:02:00] Um, cut a little bit short after a little bit of a mishap at, uh, Armadillo Arts Shooting Range. Um, we went to the robot hospital to fix our friend Travis II from a light scratch, um, which gave us access to his- It took out half of my HP.
Walk it off. Um- Slip of the hand, sorry. You know, tried to do it cool. These, these things don't work out well, so, um- One shot, one kill. We, from there, were able to gain access super smoothly, uh, you know, just real clandestinely into the tunnels beneath Millennium Park, where we were able to find various, uh, pieces of information about Millennium Park and, more relevantly to the party's sort of mission right now, Infinitown, the, uh- fabled shelter, fallout shelter, if you will, um, [00:03:00] beneath, uh, Millennium Park.
Okay. We have- Like Vault-Tec. Yeah, it's kinda like that. But it's k- a different cool thing. It's my own cool thing. It's not a, it's not a vault, you guys. Don't ask me how they're different. Nope. Um. But with these sort of, uh, maps and such that you've collected- ... you have enough to go to Infinitown, which has been under, uh, control of the Infinites for some time.
Before you do that, though, you have gone to one of the resort hotels here at Infinitown, uh, Armadillo Arts Menagerie Motel. Uh, you are in a fun safari-themed room. Wow. So, you know, the walls have, like, paintings of a jungle scene. The, uh, beds have really tattered old, like, giraffe print and zebra print, uh, comforters on them.
Uh, yeah. [00:04:00] And this is where you've holed up for the night with all of your loot that you got from just- So much ... kind of, like, pillaging Millennium Park. 'Cause some of you have a weird sort of, uh, bypass on the protectrons- Ooh ... that roam the park. Got it in one this time. That's where we're at. We have- We've got our stuff back, too, from the lockers- Yes
right? So you're opening all of your stuff like Christmas Day in the- ... Menagerie Motel. Uh- My pipe gun. It's still evening at this point. Uh, yep. You're at the motel again. It's, uh, it's very safari themed. You've got all of your stuff you pulled out of the lockers. That's where we're at I don't get healed by sleeping.
Um, so I'm gonna need someone to- Yeah, I got it. Somebody has to- Get up in there ... has to be the- Get up in there. Well, so now the dice is leaving [00:05:00] my hand. Gonna need you to rephrase that, Cap. I- If you want. If you want. No. If I didn't want to- I stand by my decision. All right. What am I, what am I doing here?
I'm, I'm rolling repair and science? Uh- Intelligence ... intelligence, repair. And repair. Difficulty two. Okay. Well- Ooh. Hmm. Well, hmm. So then I shoot Travis. Have you tried not being bad at this? Uh, so I got a 10, which is a pass, which is to pass. Actually, outside of combat you don't need to roll. Oh, yes. Because you're getting rest.
Thank God, I don't have to admit to that 19 I'm looking at. Um, uh, yeah. An hour's- I was going to say something different ... an hour's work on a damaged machine restores HP equal to twice the repairer's repair skill. Oh, hey. So in that case, you get eight. Well, I'm glad someone knew that. I... It was relevant to me, so I looked it up.
How much was that? Eight. Great, that gets me up to full. That's one gunshot wound. There we go. While, while you're... While Z is repairing [00:06:00] me, um, Travis is just making conversation. Um, hey, remember what you said about your mom? Uh, yeah. Let's, uh... You want to talk... Uh, yeah. Yeah. Can you pass me that socket wrench while you're, while you're bringing this up?
Yeah, here you go. Is she really dead? Oh, my God. These are pliers. Uh- Oh, sorry. Here. Okay, good enough. Um...

I mean, like, if a mom is someone that, you know, cares for you and- Um
protects you and helps you out, I mean, you're something of a mother figure to me
Decker is cackling. Very subtly pull the audio interface out of it. I, I like undo the socket. I like pull it out for a solid minute. Sorry, when you say audio, me to hear or me to speak? Input or output. Roll a die. If it's odd, speak. If it's even, hear. Speak. Speak. Um, yeah, Travis, the, the lights that like flicker when he's speaking keep going, um-

So yeah, if you ever need help killing the people that killed your mom, I'm here for you, because family is everything. See- I don't think you can do that. I- You've helped me so much.
I would do anything that my programming allows me to do for you Oh wow, genuine kindness. I've never responded to this before. Then Travis just like floats away. I just, you... I think the camera cuts to Z and, and Z's just like looking for Lonely at the ground like, "I don't... Do I, do I, do I thank him? I, am I supposed to do something?"
He's a good boy. Do you want, do you want money? Travis is like already at the like other side of the room- I like- ... not paying attention to you. To continue the bit a bit, to continue the bit a little bit, I do look down at my tray and I go, "Hmm, lot of parts in there." Kick-[00:09:00]
Yeah, so I guess Funk's situation, Travis can easily be stored in any small closet- ... and/or like restroom, shower stall. Um- Well, my thought is maybe there's like a B in there, like an old Mad Catz controller, like and there's just a bunch of just loose parts. You and Peggy are sn- Oh, yeah. We- Or Penny. I, this is really funny right now. I, I jump up. Like I l- I leap to my feet, and I, uh, and the, the building shakes a bit, and I go, [00:10:00] "Kindness!" Yeah. I feel like you'd hit the ceiling. Yeah, you do. There's just like, crates- It's like two holes where the horns are ... where asbestos just like rains down on you.
Delicious. And then maybe we'll put it on my popcorn. Probably good for you, honestly. I don't know. Death claws live off asbestos. Yeah, probably. I don't know. Um, but yeah, I don't, you're, I assume just sort of awkwardly squished in there somewhere.
Um, aside from that, is there anything we wanna settle up before we, like, go to bed for the night? Are we tucking in? Tucking in. I- Oh, boy. Oh, God. I, I think I look at the bed and I go, "I'll sleep outside." And I, I wa- I walk out and I, like, bump my head. Ah. Go on, uh, go out, close the door. Yeah, you gonna sleep on, like, the little motel balcony?
Yeah. Yeah. I get on the roof. You get on the roof? Great. Okay. I'm like Santy Claus. What, you expecting a [00:11:00] follow-up? No, there's no bit. I'm like Santa Claus. Okay. You're like... You're just like Santa Claus. Exactly. You're Jolly Santa Claus, yeah. Jolly old St. Nick. Great. So everyone- Like a gentleman ... turns in for the night.
Yes. Yeah. Travis spends the night kind of patrolling, making sure everyone's safe. Nobody's- Just like the room, or...? ... gonna disturb me. Uh, he's definitely going up to the roof to make sure- Okay ... that Z's, you know, doing all right. Mm. Decker, you know, being human, is actually gonna sleep. Yeah. 'Cause that's a thing that, that- We all sleep.
T- Travis is- Yeah ... the only one who doesn't sleep, I think. Great. Uh, you're canoodling. I'm sleeping, but, uh, eventually. I'm on the, I'm on the roof curled up like a, like a dog. Like a dog. Um, I, I think, you know, now that we're having a face-to-face conversation, I feel like I have more questions than I had previously.

Travis gonna p- like, patrol into the room while this is happening? No, if I'm being honest, it doesn't seem like you have an excellent sort of plan, or any plan, as- Yeah
it were. But I guess that's sort of... Well, it's not the point. You should probably... There should probably be a plan. Um- I mean, but that's the whole, like, raider way, though, you know? It's, we, we smash and grab. Yes. We break stuff. Okay. I'd love to be a raider. Is that what you- ... want for yourself? I mean, I want, I want to, you know, have people look up to me.

Travis is just, like, kind of floating past, like, anytime he's passing and you say something- He just nods and- ... he just nods and keeps moving. Yeah. He's like a, he's like a Skyrim NPC.
Hello, Dunbar, and just keeps going. I think the point is, is, um, you know, there have been plenty of times where I would've died. There was plenty of times I would've, you know, gotten caught up with the wrong people. And still every time, you know, I got to hit on 21, I got to hit on 21. You know, every time I gotta play my cards, you're there.
Every time, you know, that one wandering merchant has a little bit too many caps on him, you just happen to tell me. It's just odd. What do you want besides snake skins? [00:16:00] Besides snake skins, what would you like? Besides snake skins, I want you to have the best life that you can, but that's also only so much my decision.
If I were to make that decision for you, I would be kind of going against my own goals, I suppose. So yes, I've tried to guide you. I'm not going to tell you how you should go about any of this, but you're involved in all of this in more ways than one, and the ways you progress with that is your choice
I think I'm just, um, I don't know. 'Cause the Molotov should be mine. Gaz would've thrown me out for something. I mean, he probably thinks I'm weak. I think it's the opposite. He thinks I'm strong, so he tried to kill me? Yes If you were weak, you'd take care of [00:17:00] yourself. If you're strong, you're a threat to what he has.

Maybe I will become some leader or newfound new world order creator. But the fact is, I'm just looking for power. I'm looking for people. Actually, come to think of it, I don't even know what their goal is. I heard that really long tangent they went on about the pe- the, the followers of Apocalypse just being stupid. I thought that was what the whole thing they wanted. I thought, "Didn't you wanna help people the whole time?" I think everyone has goals, whether those are realistic within any of this is one thing, and that creates a sort of discrepancy in all of us.
I think coming up with a realistic plan, I can't stress this enough But whatever you decide, I'm sure it will be [00:21:00] fine. Fine. It'll be good. I believe in you. All right.

Got 'em all out of there then Uh, that is, do-do-do, uh, four successes. Dang. Yeah. Uh, so that generates three AP. It's not that hard. It's not that serious. Um, as you're sort of doing your little round where you come out of the motel door and you get up on the roof, um, and you see, uh, Zearach about to do this cool punch move, I guess.
Oh, no. I, I, I wanted to think of it comedically. You start banging pots and pans, and I freak out and the roof collapses under me. Oh, gosh, yeah. Uh, as the roof collapses beneath Zearach, uh, you look out outside of the, um, Menagerie Motel, and you see a very, very large creature walking. Uh, and then you notice that he is joined by two smaller humanoids.
Uh, looks like Eve and her entourage have come looking for you because you didn't come back. Uh, and they are, they are approaching. You kind of lock eyes with [00:23:00] them. Uh, yeah, I give 'em, like, a, a salute with my one pincer arm. And then head inside the room. All right. Uh, yeah, so Eve, we were- Oh, yeah ... uh- Ah! All right.
Nice of you to drop in. More asbestos raining down. We're- You're just kind of a powdered donut of asbestos at this point ... all right. You got Gus, though. All right. Good job. Um, were, were we gonna help that group? I don't remember where we landed on that. They wanted to find Infinitown. We were finding Infinitown.
We agreed. So if they were to come here, would we bring them with us to Infinitown? I'm not against more hands. The f- the Followers are, they're dumb, but they're better than whatever's going on in there. Okay. Well, they're here. They're, like, outside? Um- I think there's asbestos in my butt crack. I know there's asbestos in your butt.

There's, there's a hole in the roof so we can hear everything they're saying. I'm gonna go and lock the door. Yeah. Uh, it is, uh, Eve kind of leading, leading the charge.
Hope is behind her, and then, uh, Oxys is just kind of, like, crouched to sort of peek in the door. [00:25:00] Oh, looks like you've, uh, made some renovations. Yeah, a skylight. It was getting, getting muggy in here. Yeah. Can you close that? I don't think he did that on purpose. Well, I just wanted to- Shh. Stop ... check how you are all doing.
They're going to, they'll kill us. Sorry. Why would they kill... Something the matter? I don't actually agree with killing them. We're doing great. Great. Any progress? Seems you've made it into the park. She points at your, like, armadillo art ears. Yes. We have done... We- Oh, hey, Peggy. We're very sneaky. Peggy. And Penny's like, "Oh, hey."

What kind of view? We found some weird stuff going on down there. Are there any of the protectrons around? Um, I don't think around, like, the motel, no. Yeah, okay. But no, I knew him. We were [00:27:00] roughly the same age. You know, we went to the parks together
Well, I was also there D- Eve, did you know anything about, uh, possible, I don't know, cloning and experimentation with living forever? Oh, a bit. Real subtle. Interesting. My mother didn't really like to talk about it, but Granddad was, you know, you get to be a certain amount of wealthy, the world is supposedly going to end in a decade or so, you start looking into things.
Well, I'm s- what we found, I, I think that's all you're gonna find in Infinitown is gonna be a lot of Granddad.
And if that's what I find, that's what I find. But I don't know. I have to look. This is- [00:28:00] You know, have families and- I don't want to use big words like birthright. That feels icky. I just, this is something I need to resolve. I've spent my whole life, my whole life being told there's all these things that I'm supposed to do, that there's all these people I'm supposed to live up to.

It seems that maybe [00:30:00] all of this is relevant to most of you in some way. We're in this together, and I'm sure whatever we find, that will continue to be the case. But you're finding answers that are relevant to all of you, are you not?
That's what we're doing here. Do you wanna get to the bottom of any of the stuff we found out about you and about Travis? 'Cause this is the way to do that. I, do you think we could do it alone? Do you think we need them? What is the danger of having more firepower and a death claw? If we have- What if it's not...
W- what, what is... Nobody knows what the MacGuffin is, right? That's true. What's at the bottom? Do you know? You have half a, a blueprint, right? Mm. So, so I guess our issue is what if it's a weapon, right? The town? [00:31:00] Yeah. What if there's some- Well, geck. What,
what if, I don't know, what if there's some... You know, it, it's not absurd, right? Other vaults and other things have had, have had, you know, worse stuff in them. I guess I just, you know, we learned all this stuff, and we're, we don't, we, we still don't know what's in there. And, and, you know, frankly, I, I barely know you guys, and you're asking me to, what, put my faith in you that if it's something nefarious or evil or, or whatever, that just because you share blood with the guy who made it, I should trust you?
I don't know. It's just, it's hard to get my head around is all. But no, I do understand that perhaps you don't have exactly the same stakes that I do. For one, I'm happy to compensate you. That's kind of how things usually work around here. I, right? So we can work that out. I don't expect you to really [00:32:00] care about my sort of personal attachment to my mother's work or what it's become or what I can turn it into, but we can help each other out.
