Jesus suffered in our place to remove the penalty of our sins. While his suffering did remove our sins and our eternal suffering, it did not remove our temporal suffering. It equipped us for it. In this life, we will suffer, but be of good cheer, he's overcome the world. They go from strength to strength. Each one appears before God in Zion. The destination is reached. It's promised to the child of God. You're gonna make it, child of God. You're going to arrive in his presence. Who can separate us from the love of God that's in Christ Jesus, our Lord?
