OK Solberg:

I wanna again welcome you to The 405 Coffee Break. Guys, get your cup of coffee, glass iced tea or bottle of water, let's see what's happening. Spring wheat $5.23 a bushel, 550lb steer calf $4.11 a pound. A butcher hog in Iowa, 58ยข a pound. And a 100 pound fat lamb in Billings will fetch you $2.04 a pound.

OK Solberg:

But guys, there's more, much more. Hey, it's my mom's birthday, September 22. Now she passed away in 2020. My mom taught me about God. Of that, I am very thankful.

OK Solberg:

Yep, it reminds me of a Bible passage from 1st Chronicles 28. And it says, and you, Solomon my son, know that God, the God of our fathers, serve him with a whole heart and with a willing mind, for the Lord searches all hearts and understands every plan and thought. If you seek him, he will be found by you. But if you forsake him, he will cast you off forever. Oh, it's a good verse, and my mom taught me that.

OK Solberg:

Thanks, mom, and happy birthday. Okay. Today, another quiz. Let's test your musical knowledge. Last week, it was a quiz on old TV programs.

OK Solberg:

Today, let's test your musical aptitude. Let's see if you're old enough. You ready? First question, which song had these words in it? Then I saw her face, now I'm know it?

OK Solberg:

Next one, how about this? Hello darkness, my old friend. Got it? Next one. Here we go.

OK Solberg:

Sugar. Oh, honey honey, you are my candy girl. You know that one? Next one, here it comes. Shine bright like a diamond.

OK Solberg:

Hey, if that one threw you, Dan Perry, you gotta drag yourselves yourself into the twenties. I have some young listeners as well. Ready? Next one. I see trees of green, red roses too.

OK Solberg:

What song did that come from? Next one, all of you will get this one. She was just 17, you know what I mean. You got that one? Ready for the next one.

OK Solberg:

He said I'll love you till I die. She told him you'll forget in time. Ready? Here comes another one. There is a house in New Orleans, they call.

OK Solberg:

Next one. Ready? Oh my love, my darling, I hunger for your touch. And finally, number 10, and I turned 21 in prison doing life without parole. There you have it.

OK Solberg:

10 of them. Did you get them all? How'd you do? If you got them all correct, I owe you a Tootsie Pop. Let's check it out.

OK Solberg:

Then I saw her face. Now I'm a believer. The monkeys, I'm a believer. Hello darkness, my old friend. Who sang it?

OK Solberg:

Simon and Garfunkel, the sound of silence. Sugar, oh honey honey, you are my candy girl. Who did it? The Archies, titled sugar sugar, the number one song from 1969. Shine bright like a diamond.

OK Solberg:

Anyone get that? It's from the song called diamonds, Rihanna, and it was released in 2012. Next one. I see trees of green, red roses too. What a wonderful world.

OK Solberg:

Louis Armstrong. How about this? Everybody got it. She was just 17. You know what I mean.

OK Solberg:

Title? I saw her standing there, the Beatles. He said, I'll love you till I die. She told him you'll forget in time. Title of the song, he's stop loving her today sung by the one and only George Jones.

OK Solberg:

There is a house in New Orleans they call the rising Sun. The house of the rising sun, who sang it? Dan Perry knows it. The animals. Next one.

OK Solberg:

Oh my love, my darling, I've hungered for your touch. Title, Unchained Melody, the Righteous Brothers. And finally, number 10, and I turned 21 in prison doing life without parole. Merle Haggard, mama tried, and Merle had 38 number one hits, and that's one of them. You let me know how you did.

OK Solberg:

If you got them all correct, I'll give you a Tootsie pop, like I promised. But not everyone gets a red one. I have some brown ones too. So until next time, as you go out there, remember now, don't be bitter.
