Liberation lives in the body first and then ripples out. This guided rest practice lays the foundations for the depth of awareness and inner stability that is required to unlock that frequency, and offers guidance that helps you cultivate a relationship with your body that allows you to finally know how to truly rest.
True liberation, the kind that
we desire for ourselves as cycle
breakers, the kind we desire for our
communities, for our lineages, that
liberation is an embodied place.
This is why simply speaking out our
values or exercising them through protests
and other individual and collective
outward expressions, while important and
necessary, can feel incomplete when we
have not yet unleashed the essence of
liberation that lives within our bones.
Liberation is neither granted by
systems, nor is it built on the ashes
of systems we burn to the ground.
Liberation rises from our bones
first, lives in our bodies
first, and then ripple out.
If you're a cycle breaker, whether
in your own lineage or in a larger
context of defying outdated systems and
structures, defying prescribed gender
norms, defying standardized ways of
relating with each other, part of your
tasks is to work through the friction
of allowing the essence of liberation
to move through you first in your body,
to alchemize it with your presence.
This practice is an offering to help you
create strong foundations for the depth of
awareness, the spaciousness, and the inner
stability that is needed to do just that.
