First up, the news bulletin. Arsenal have confirmed that new signing Hincapie is available for selection, adding depth to their defensive options. Manager Mikel Arteta also confirmed that Calafiori is making good progress from injury but remains unavailable. There's concern at Chelsea with Cole Palmer suffering a knock in the FA Cup, though the severity is unclear ahead of Saturday's clash with Brentford. Better news for Spurs as Solanke has returned from injury, but Richarlison picked up a fresh problem. At Brentford, Thiago was rested in the cup but is expected to start against Chelsea. In Gameweek twenty-one's thriller against Leeds, Bruno scored, assisted, and picked up a bonus point in the four-three victory. That's eleven points. He's now delivered eight goals and five assists this season, averaging five point eight points per game. Newcastle face Wolves away next, then Aston Villa at home in Gameweek twenty-three. His defensive contributions are excellent for a midfielder, and he's on penalties. Verdict: Good buy for those without him.
Third, Gabriel at Arsenal. The six point seven million pound defender now has thirty-two percent ownership after three hundred and eighty thousand transfers in. He kept a clean sheet in the nil-nil draw with Liverpool in Gameweek twenty-one, adding six points. Gabriel has nine clean sheets this season, three goals, and two assists. He's averaging seven point five points per game, which is exceptional for a defender. Arsenal face Nottingham Forest away, then Manchester United at home in Gameweek twenty-three. Their defensive record is superb. Verdict: Essential if you're building a strong defence.
Now the top three transfers out. Cole Palmer at Chelsea is the big one. He blanked in Gameweek twenty-one's two-one loss to Fulham, managing just two points from sixty-three minutes. The knock he picked up in the cup is a major concern ahead of the Brentford fixture. Verdict: Hold if you can afford to wait for news, but selling is justified given the uncertainty.
Second, Salah at Liverpool. The expensive nine point five million pound midfielder with forty-three point eight percent ownership has lost over two hundred thousand managers. He played seventy-one minutes in the nil-nil draw with Arsenal, contributing just two points with one clean sheet. While his underlying stats remain strong, Liverpool's fixtures turn tricky with Manchester City and Chelsea coming up soon. At that price, many are moving funds elsewhere. Verdict: Sell if you need to free up budget, but he remains a quality asset for the patient manager.
Third, Jackson at Chelsea. At seven point seven million pounds with seventeen point three percent ownership, he's hemorrhaging managers with over one hundred and fifty thousand transfers out. Let's look at some differential picks under ten percent ownership. First, Collins at Brentford. Just five million pounds with three point one percent ownership. He delivered thirteen points in Gameweek twenty-one with an assist, clean sheet, and two bonus points against Sunderland. He's now got five clean sheets, a goal, and two assists this season. With Brentford's defensive solidity, he's an absolute bargain who could rotate nicely in your squad.
Second, Garner at Everton. Five point one million pounds with just three point six percent ownership. The midfielder scored six points in Gameweek twenty-one thanks to two bonus points in the one-all draw with Wolves. He's got eight clean sheets this season as a midfielder, plus two goals and three assists. His defensive contribution is excellent, and Everton's fixtures include Leeds and Brighton in the next four. Great value.
Third, Yarmoliuk at Brentford. Only five million pounds with point one percent ownership makes him a true differential. He scored and kept a clean sheet in Gameweek twenty-one for eight points. Playing ninety minutes shows he's trusted by manager Keith Andrews. At that price with Brentford's fixtures, he's worth a punt if you're chasing in your mini-league.
Captaincy for Gameweek twenty-two: It has to be Thiago against Chelsea. He's in red-hot form with sixteen goals this season and just bagged a brace. Brentford at home are dangerous, and Chelsea's defence has been shaky. Alternatives include Bruno G. against Wolves or Gabriel if you fancy Arsenal's clean sheet potential away at Nottingham Forest.
One key tip: Don't overlook defensive midfielders for your squad. Players like Bruno G. and Garner offer clean sheet points on top of attacking potential, giving you a double chance at returns. With the fixtures getting congested, rotation-proof players who contribute defensively are gold dust.
