Elizabeth:

Hey, everybody. It's Elizabeth. It's a week before inbound. Oh my goodness. This is my first time going.

Elizabeth:

I've been working at a HubSpot partner agency for a little over 2 years now. Before that, I was using HubSpot, as a HubSpot client. But this is actually my first time going to inbound, and I don't know about you guys. But when HubSpot does it, they does it they do it well. Right?

Elizabeth:

They does it well. That's great grammar. Anyway, they do it well. They go big. Right?

Elizabeth:

And so I thought I would share how to pick an agenda. I don't know about you guys, but holy cow. If you go to the home page, first of all, you find out it's sold out and look at all these fun little things that the website does. I'm a designer by background, and so I get I nerd out. I had to nerd out over all the fun things on the page.

Elizabeth:

But, anyway, like, I had to not pay attention to this and actually go and figure out an agenda. And I don't know. I usually just go all sessions. Right? But if you do that, there's, like, so many that I'm like, I I got into, like, I I don't I don't know.

Elizabeth:

I don't know. And then I noticed there's this targeted agenda. And I was like, yes. This is my jam. You're gonna curate a list for me, and it's gonna be great.

Elizabeth:

So on this page, if you haven't picked out your sessions for, inbound and you're going, you can scroll through and they've actually curated lists based on your interest, and then it just whittles it down. It's basically just filtered informations. Right? So what I did was I just picked 1 like this one, and you just select view agenda, and then it automatically filters for you. And you can see, like, I've favorited this session.

Elizabeth:

You can save a seat in some. Some of them are reservation required, like this one. You can see I reserved a couple seats in another. And if it's full, I'm under the impression that you can still go while you're at inbound, and then they'll open up seats in case somebody hasn't attended. You just have to be there.

Elizabeth:

I think it's 5 minutes before the start time of the of the session. But, anyway, you can see a lot of information here. And then if you're not going to inbound, you can also see which ones are livestream, which means you can actually watch it live, and plan for that, during your day at, at inbound, which I think is actually pretty freaking cool. So there's also an inbound app, that you can put on your phone and you can do the same things or relatively the same things in the inbound app on your phone, and then you can carry inbound with you while you're at the at the event. Another thing that I know everybody is always interested in is kinda like when Apple has their big events or anything like that.

Elizabeth:

It's like, hey. What's coming out? I don't know. And I don't know. But what I like doing in HubSpot, and I don't know if you guys are aware of this, in your portal, there's this product updates option.

Elizabeth:

Under product updates, you can see what's coming up next. We have to blur this screen, because of, you know, everybody's got a little bit different, right, different view inside of HubSpot. But on this product updates, menu option, you can see what's live, coming soon, beta, in development, and sunset. You can reduce it to different things and different options here, reduce it by product, things like that. But, you know, if you didn't know this was a thing, highly recommend coming and checking this out.

Elizabeth:

You know, maybe even signing up for a beta or 2 if you want to. In the past, when I've signed up for betas, both as a HubSpot user and then on behalf of of clients, they're always really well done, and I enjoy them. But anyway, if you wanted to see at least a little bit of a road map of what's coming up, that product updates thing is definitely definitely the way to go. You can see it. But anyway, I'm excited and nervous to go to inbound.

Elizabeth:

I've never been there before. I'm really excited to see people. I didn't realize that I'm a people person, and I am. I like in person events, so it should be fun. I've also never been to Boston, which is also really cool that I get to go see a little bit of it.

Elizabeth:

I'm sure I'll be busy at the conference and won't get to sight see and do fun things, as much as I'd like, but I can always go back and visit. Right? So yeah, if this is your first time at inbound, what are you looking forward to? What sessions are you most interested in outside of Ryan Reynolds? Everybody's interested in seeing Ryan Reynolds.

Elizabeth:

Right? And then what are you what are you hoping to get out of inbound? What are you hoping to to, you know, bring back to your team? Because there's always that post conference hype. Right?

Elizabeth:

You're kinda high in the sky, dreaming big, gonna make sweeping changes, and then it fizzles and dies. Right? It falls flat typically. One thing that you could do while you're at the conference, I actually am a huge fan of not taking tech into a conference so that you can just absorb all of it. I am probably a little more old school than I'd like to admit.

Elizabeth:

I'm a fan of pen and paper. I like to doodle and write while I'm attending a session kinda like I did when I was in art school, you know, to be quite honest, because I like to be in the moment and I find that I actually retain more and get better ideas if I write it physically instead of typing it out. But if you're one of those people that like tasks, guess what? Take your phone with you. Install the HubSpot app, so not the inbound app, but the HubSpot app.

Elizabeth:

Make sure your HubSpot account is connected and you can make tasks for yourself right there. You can scan business cards, you can do all kinds of things right from the HubSpot app. Yeah. We'd love to hear from you. Drop a comment, you know, do something, let us know what you're interested in.

Elizabeth:

Oh, I almost lost my earbuds. That would have been terrible. Seeing in inbound what you're hoping to get out of inbound, and then what are you planning to do with that information after inbound. I know, I signed up for a lot of the educational sessions because I love teaching people. I love showing them, you know, HubSpot tricks and things that I've learned along the way, but then also how to get HubSpot to actually work for you, help your team basically build HubSpot to fit your people and your processes, not just the process, but the people too.

Elizabeth:

We'll catch you when I'm back from inbound. Thanks.
